:02:27. > :02:30.Men didn't come back and they left to fight for us.

:02:31. > :02:32.The battalion inspired my grandfather to

:02:33. > :02:36.He went every Saturday and watched the football

:02:37. > :02:39.and for them to throw away

:02:40. > :02:41.the title for a war, for the country,

:02:42. > :02:47.The team came here to fight the Germans

:02:48. > :02:50.in one of the bloodiest and biggest battles of the war

:02:51. > :02:54.Though they managed to free this village

:02:55. > :02:59.from German control, the victory came at a cost.

:03:00. > :03:02.Seven of the team died in battle and another three

:03:03. > :03:06.suffered such injuries that their lives would never be the same.

:03:07. > :03:12.Being a Hearts fan, nobody will forget what

:03:13. > :03:15.they did for the club and for the country.

:03:16. > :03:19.Giving away the title, which is unbelievable, to go and

:03:20. > :03:21.defend your country is just phenomenal.
