0:00:05 > 0:00:08Hi, I'm Leah here with you this Thursday morning Newsround.
0:00:08 > 0:00:12Coming up: We give you the lowdown on Fifa 17.
0:00:12 > 0:00:14And we show you how coral bleaching has become a problem
0:00:14 > 0:00:17in the Maldives.
0:00:25 > 0:00:34First this morning, he was only in charge for one game,
0:00:36 > 0:00:38but ex-England football manager Sam Allardyce now resigned,
0:00:38 > 0:00:41and former England captain Alan Shearer says
0:00:41 > 0:00:43England are the "laughing stock" of world football.
0:00:43 > 0:00:45So, what can the team do to improve?
0:00:45 > 0:00:46And who should take over next?
0:00:46 > 0:00:49Kids in Bolton, where Sam lives, told us what they think.
0:00:49 > 0:00:51I think England as a team could get better by working
0:00:51 > 0:00:53together and passing more, the couples work on the
0:00:53 > 0:00:57attacking strengths.
0:00:57 > 0:00:59They can work together as one nation and support each other through
0:00:59 > 0:01:01the new difficulties in time.
0:01:01 > 0:01:03I think Alan Pardew should be the new England manager
0:01:03 > 0:01:06because he already has a lot of experience of playing football
0:01:06 > 0:01:12and managing a team.
0:01:12 > 0:01:16I think David Beckham could be a really good manager,
0:01:16 > 0:01:19because he played for England, and he played for big
0:01:19 > 0:01:20teams like real Madrid, PSG and Manchester United.
0:01:20 > 0:01:23I think the next English manager should be Alan Shearer,
0:01:23 > 0:01:27because he is a great role model and he has very good experience.
0:01:27 > 0:01:28He could find the players' weaknesses and turn
0:01:28 > 0:01:30them into strengths.
0:01:30 > 0:01:33I think they have a good manager who can show them
0:01:33 > 0:01:35where the negatives are and where the positive side,
0:01:35 > 0:01:40and they can improve and get better.
0:01:40 > 0:01:41New players.
0:01:41 > 0:01:42New kits.
0:01:42 > 0:01:43New boots.
0:01:43 > 0:01:45If you're a gaming fan, then you'll know exactly
0:01:45 > 0:01:46what I'm talking about.
0:01:46 > 0:01:48Fifa 17 has been released, and with new attacking techniques
0:01:48 > 0:01:50and improved artificial intelligence, it's got fans excited.
0:01:50 > 0:01:52Here's Radio 1 Newsbeat reporter Steffan Powell with more.
0:01:53 > 0:01:57Instead of me telling you about it, why don't I show you how it's done?
0:01:57 > 0:02:00One of the main changes they've introduced this year is a thing
0:02:00 > 0:02:01called a driven shot.
0:02:01 > 0:02:03So you know sometimes when you are like one-on-one
0:02:03 > 0:02:06with the keeper and you do the finesse shot top corner,
0:02:06 > 0:02:09and it works every time?
0:02:09 > 0:02:12Well, now you have the option of doing a driven shot,
0:02:12 > 0:02:14hit it nice and low, bottom corner, straight at the keeper,
0:02:14 > 0:02:15whatever you want to do.
0:02:15 > 0:02:18A driven shot.
0:02:18 > 0:02:21You can also head the ball downwards, so whereas before your
0:02:21 > 0:02:23options when it came to heading have been a bit more limited
0:02:23 > 0:02:25than some of the other shots.
0:02:25 > 0:02:27Now when you get across, go on, Navas.
0:02:27 > 0:02:30Just blocked it.
0:02:30 > 0:02:35One of the biggest things you'll notice when you are playing
0:02:35 > 0:02:38the new Fifa is not necessarily how you're playing but how
0:02:38 > 0:02:42the players you're playing with a playing as well.
0:02:42 > 0:02:44They have changed the artificial intelligence, and so players make
0:02:44 > 0:02:47better runs, more different runs, so you are looking for options,
0:02:47 > 0:02:49it is easier to pass the ball.
0:02:49 > 0:02:52Sorry, I am just trying to make sure I don't concede a goal
0:02:52 > 0:02:53there.
0:02:53 > 0:02:54Oh, no!
0:02:54 > 0:02:55Phew.
0:02:55 > 0:02:56Put it wide.
0:02:57 > 0:02:59Finally we're off to the Maldives in the Indian Ocean,
0:02:59 > 0:03:02where more than 60% of coral reefs have been left damaged by pollution
0:03:02 > 0:03:03and rising temperatures.
0:03:03 > 0:03:06And it's a problem facing the rest of the world, too.
0:03:06 > 0:03:08Here's Naz.
0:03:09 > 0:03:10Clear blue seas and beautiful beaches.
0:03:10 > 0:03:15This is the Maldives.
0:03:18 > 0:03:22But what lies beneath the beautiful water is a different story.
0:03:22 > 0:03:25It should be full of these - bright, colourful, healthy coral
0:03:25 > 0:03:29reefs which fish live in.
0:03:29 > 0:03:30But climate change means we've had warmer summers,
0:03:30 > 0:03:35and now lots of the coral here is damaged.
0:03:35 > 0:03:38The Maldives is made only of corals, and if the corals won't survive,
0:03:38 > 0:03:41the Maldives won't survive.
0:03:41 > 0:03:44It's called coral bleaching.
0:03:44 > 0:03:47It happens when the water temperature gets a couple of degrees
0:03:47 > 0:03:49hotter than normal for two weeks or more.
0:03:49 > 0:03:56The coral changes colour to white, and it's left damaged.
0:03:56 > 0:03:58And it's not the only place in the world affected.
0:03:58 > 0:04:00Australia's famous Great Barrier Reef has had plenty
0:04:00 > 0:04:03of its coral reef damaged.
0:04:03 > 0:04:07Then there's Hawaii and Japan.
0:04:07 > 0:04:11These experts from Sea Life Centres in the UK and Germany have travelled
0:04:11 > 0:04:15thousands of miles to help the Maldives.
0:04:15 > 0:04:23We have just come back from the first snorkel of the trip.
0:04:23 > 0:04:26It's the first chance we've had to see the frames that were put
0:04:26 > 0:04:27in the water last year.
0:04:27 > 0:04:28It's not been great.
0:04:28 > 0:04:30There was some growth, so fragments were attached
0:04:30 > 0:04:32with the cable ties, and the corals have overgrown
0:04:32 > 0:04:34the cable ties, which is a good thing.
0:04:34 > 0:04:37Our contribution to the Maldives is 75 square metres of coral reef.
0:04:37 > 0:04:40It is the advancement of a project that is going to regenerate the reef
0:04:40 > 0:04:42after such a horrific bleaching event.
0:04:42 > 0:04:45It's hoped work like this will one day reverse some of the damage,
0:04:45 > 0:04:48giving fish here a healthy, happy home to live in once again.
0:04:50 > 0:04:51That's all from me.
0:04:51 > 0:04:56Newsround's back right here in about half an hour.
