0:00:07 > 0:00:09Welcome to Newsround on Wednesday morning!

0:00:09 > 0:00:17Here's all the news you need to know this morning.

0:00:17 > 0:00:21We meet this somersaulting teenager!

0:00:21 > 0:00:31Plus the street that's outshining the rest.

0:00:31 > 0:00:33A Formula E car takes on a Cheetah.

0:00:33 > 0:00:38Who will win?

0:00:38 > 0:00:40This is Newsround.

0:00:40 > 0:00:42First, lets go to the sports stories today.

0:00:42 > 0:00:43Amazing news for women's football this morning.

0:00:43 > 0:00:46England made it three wins out of three in World Cup qualifying

0:00:46 > 0:00:48as they thrashed Kazakhstan 5-0 last night,

0:00:48 > 0:00:51Nikita Parris scoring the third goal here.

0:00:51 > 0:00:55They're second in their group after leaders Wales beat Bosnia 1-0.

0:00:55 > 0:00:58Northern Ireland won 3-1 against Slovakia.

0:00:58 > 0:01:03Manchester United beat Watford 4-2,

0:01:03 > 0:01:06Jesse Lingard here with the pick of the goals, to narrow the gap

0:01:06 > 0:01:14on rivals City to five points at the top of the Premier League.

0:01:14 > 0:01:16Talking of goals,

0:01:16 > 0:01:17look at this one from Leicester's Riyad Mahrez

0:01:17 > 0:01:21that helped the former champions beat Tottenham 2-1.

0:01:21 > 0:01:23Next, it's pretty hard to do a backflip,

0:01:23 > 0:01:26but imagine managing it in a wheelchair.

0:01:26 > 0:01:30Well, Lily Rice is the first woman in the UK to do just that!

0:01:30 > 0:01:35She tells us all about how she managed this awesome trick.

0:01:42 > 0:01:47I'm Lily Rice, I'm 13 years old, and I ride WCMX.

0:01:47 > 0:01:50WCMX stands for wheelchair motocross.

0:01:50 > 0:01:54It involves riding a wheelchair in a skatepark.

0:01:54 > 0:01:57You ride the wheelchair like a BMXer would ride a BMX,

0:01:57 > 0:01:59or a skateboarder would ride a skateboard, or a scooter

0:01:59 > 0:02:00would ride a scooter.

0:02:00 > 0:02:03I started riding early March, and we just, like, stayed on a

0:02:03 > 0:02:07few banks, which are basically like small hills going up and down.

0:02:07 > 0:02:10But as my confidence increased, I started to try bigger ramps,

0:02:10 > 0:02:12and then eventually did a small quarter pipe,

0:02:12 > 0:02:14which is about two feet.

0:02:14 > 0:02:19And I felt so happy when I did that.

0:02:19 > 0:02:21But now, looking back on that, I think that's

0:02:21 > 0:02:23nothing compared to what I'm doing now.

0:02:23 > 0:02:26The backflip wasn't really a target, I kind of just arrived at

0:02:26 > 0:02:31the skatepark and I was like, "I want to try a backflip".

0:02:31 > 0:02:35Practised into a foam pit first, which is like a big

0:02:35 > 0:02:37ramp going up into a pit of foam, basically.

0:02:37 > 0:02:38It kind of describes itself.

0:02:38 > 0:02:42Then I moved onto a resi ramp, which is a normal ramp made for

0:02:42 > 0:02:44practising tricks.

0:02:44 > 0:02:46Once I landed it, I was, like, really happy.

0:02:46 > 0:02:50I was ecstatic and I screamed.

0:02:50 > 0:02:52It is different to what other people are doing.

0:02:52 > 0:02:55I rock up to the skate park, and people are like,

0:02:55 > 0:02:57"Why is there a wheelchair here?"

0:02:57 > 0:02:59Then I go onto one of the ramps, and they are like,

0:02:59 > 0:03:00"Oh, my God".

0:03:00 > 0:03:04I'd like to try a front flip now that I can do a backflip.

0:03:04 > 0:03:06No woman has ever done a front flip, so I

0:03:06 > 0:03:08would be the first woman to do that.

0:03:08 > 0:03:11Skateboarding is going to the Olympics next year, and I really

0:03:11 > 0:03:13hope WCMX can go to the Paralympics as well.

0:03:13 > 0:03:16I want to inspire others and show people that you can do

0:03:16 > 0:03:17whatever you want.

0:03:17 > 0:03:22You just have to put your mind to it.

0:03:22 > 0:03:23Now it's time for some racing.

0:03:23 > 0:03:26But not the kind of race you see every day -

0:03:26 > 0:03:28this is racing with a twist.

0:03:28 > 0:03:30In one corner, we've got the world's fastest mammal,

0:03:30 > 0:03:33and in the other, a Formula E car!

0:03:33 > 0:03:35This is going to be epic.

0:03:35 > 0:03:39On your marks, get set, go!

0:03:39 > 0:03:44They are sleek, slender, and stealthy.

0:03:44 > 0:03:48But cheetahs are definitely known for their speed.

0:03:48 > 0:03:50They can reach up to 60 mph in three seconds,

0:03:50 > 0:03:54which, funnily enough, is the same as a Formula E car.

0:03:54 > 0:03:58So, who would win a race?

0:03:58 > 0:04:02It's time to find out.

0:04:17 > 0:04:21That was awesome, and so much closer than I thought it would be!

0:04:21 > 0:04:25But there is a serious side to this.

0:04:25 > 0:04:28There are now only 7,000 cheetahs left in the wild.

0:04:28 > 0:04:31They are one of the ten most endangered species on our planet,

0:04:31 > 0:04:37and unless something changes, they could be in big trouble.

0:04:37 > 0:04:40By organising the race, the owner of Formula E wanted to

0:04:40 > 0:04:44highlight the terrible effects climate change is having on this

0:04:44 > 0:04:48magnificent animal, and ways to better protect the environment,

0:04:48 > 0:04:53including the use of electric cars.

0:04:53 > 0:04:57An entire street in Hampshire has been decorated with festive

0:04:57 > 0:04:59lights by a man who really loves Christmas.

0:04:59 > 0:05:01He started persuading every one of his neighbours

0:05:01 > 0:05:04to decorate their homes 13 years ago.

0:05:04 > 0:05:07This year, hundreds of people turned up to see the switch-on.

0:05:07 > 0:05:11So far, around £50,000 has been raised for charity,

0:05:11 > 0:05:13and the lights attract thousands of people

0:05:13 > 0:05:19in the run-up to Christmas.

0:05:19 > 0:05:22Just enough time to tell you to head online, where you can get

0:05:22 > 0:05:23all the details of the Royal Wedding.

0:05:23 > 0:05:25Congratulations again to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

0:05:25 > 0:05:27We can't wait!

0:05:27 > 0:05:31My invitation had better be in the post!

0:05:31 > 0:05:34Plus if you're a basketball fan, we have some great tips

0:05:34 > 0:05:35from the actual Harlem Globetrotters.

0:05:35 > 0:05:37Their skills really are amazing!

0:05:37 > 0:05:40Think I'll have to do a bit more practice!

0:05:40 > 0:05:42And if you've got time before school,

0:05:42 > 0:05:43don't forget the quiz of the week.

0:05:43 > 0:05:45It's a tough one this week!

0:05:45 > 0:05:46Thanks for watching.

0:05:46 > 0:05:47Have a great day at school.

0:05:47 > 0:05:49Martin's back with lots more excitement

0:05:49 > 0:05:53on Newsround this afternoon.
