:00:00. > :00:08.It's Sunday, it's Mother's Day, I'm Ricky and this is Newsround. On the

:00:09. > :00:11.way: What do these bones unearthed in London tell us about the Black

:00:12. > :00:14.Death? Hi, I'm Millie Knight, Winter

:00:15. > :00:23.Paralympian. Stay tuned - I'm answering your questions.

:00:24. > :00:27.First up, The Guide Dogs charity is calling for a ban on parking on

:00:28. > :00:30.pavements. The charity say it blocks the way for blind people and those

:00:31. > :00:34.who are partially sighted, forcing them to walk into the road putting

:00:35. > :00:37.them at risk of being hit by oncoming traffic. There's already a

:00:38. > :00:41.ban on parking on pavements on most London streets - the charity want

:00:42. > :00:45.the same to happen across the rest of the country.

:00:46. > :00:50.The dog is here to help me, but there is also a risk of her being

:00:51. > :00:52.hit by a car. It's a big risk, not just for me but for other disabled

:00:53. > :00:56.people. People in wheelchairs, people with

:00:57. > :01:00.pushchairs. Human skeletons dug up in central

:01:01. > :01:04.London have been found to be Black Death victims from the 14th Century.

:01:05. > :01:09.The Great Plague swept across Britain and Europe killing more than

:01:10. > :01:12.50 million people. It's recorded as one of the deadliest events in human

:01:13. > :01:15.history. The skeletons were unearthed as builders worked on a

:01:16. > :01:18.brand new railway beneath the streets of London. Archaeologists

:01:19. > :01:21.believe the corpses may be part of an enormous emergency burial pit

:01:22. > :01:24.where thousands of plague victims were dumped 600 years ago. Its

:01:25. > :01:31.precise location hasn't been known until now.

:01:32. > :01:34.It's hugely important. It's a 600-year-old cemetery below the park

:01:35. > :01:38.here where we are. It was set out specifically for the Black Death in

:01:39. > :01:45.the mid-14th century. It's a hugely important site for London and

:01:46. > :01:49.further afield. Next up, thousands of you took part

:01:50. > :01:53.in the Sport Relief Games at the weekend and a record ?53 million was

:01:54. > :02:04.raised for the charity - but now the fundraising is over, what happens

:02:05. > :02:08.next? Here's Martin with more. Radsy swam for it. Davina ran for

:02:09. > :02:13.it. And Grimmie cycled for it. These two sat down a lot, and Alex Jones

:02:14. > :02:16.clung on for it. Loads of celebrities got involved in raising

:02:17. > :02:22.money for Sport Relief. Hello, Sport Relief 2014.

:02:23. > :02:26.And whether it's running, cycling or swimming, thousands of you took part

:02:27. > :02:31.to help raise money for people in the UK and around the world. What

:02:32. > :02:38.happens next? In the UK, the money goes to help people who are homeless

:02:39. > :02:41.or suffered domestic abuse. Across the world, money raised goes to

:02:42. > :02:50.provide education for children, freshwater and vaccinations.

:02:51. > :02:54.Deciding where the money goes is about as difficult as raising it in

:02:55. > :02:58.the first place. The most important thing is that we use it to do great

:02:59. > :03:02.work, and to help people whose lives can be changed with that extra

:03:03. > :03:06.little bit of an injection of cash. People have to apply to us for the

:03:07. > :03:10.money, against a set of guidelines that we have written up, and then we

:03:11. > :03:13.try to choose the best of those projects to make the biggest

:03:14. > :03:15.difference to the lives of our beneficiaries.

:03:16. > :03:19.So far, more than ?53 million has been raised. It's still coming in.

:03:20. > :03:22.The money will be sent to those in need, and that's not the end because

:03:23. > :03:25.the Sport Relief team are already planning what to do next year.

:03:26. > :03:28.Next, perfectly timed for Mother's Day, an official photo has been

:03:29. > :03:31.released of Prince George with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

:03:32. > :03:34.Eight-month old baby George is pictured in his mother's arms as

:03:35. > :03:38.Prince William holds their pet dog Lupo. The pic was taken at their

:03:39. > :03:40.Kensington Palace home, ahead of their royal tour of Australia and

:03:41. > :03:44.New Zealand. So, a happy mother's day to Kate and

:03:45. > :03:47.mums everywhere. We're asking you to head to the Newsround website tell

:03:48. > :03:49.us your mother's day plans. You've been sending in your comments all

:03:50. > :04:09.morning. Keep those comments coming in.

:04:10. > :04:13.Sport now - and let's hear from one of our Paralympic GB favourites,

:04:14. > :04:17.Millie Knight. At just 15 years old she was chosen to carry the flag for

:04:18. > :04:21.her country and the Sochi Games in Russia. Now she's back in the UK, we

:04:22. > :04:28.went to meet her and put some of your questions to lady herself.

:04:29. > :04:35.It's been my dream since I was tiny, and then I did it. It was very, very

:04:36. > :04:38.exciting. When I came back to school everybody was really excited to see

:04:39. > :04:40.me, and saying well done. It was quite weird, really, because before

:04:41. > :04:49.people were just like: I get really, really nervous before

:04:50. > :04:52.races but for these races I'm really excited. I couldn't wait to get down

:04:53. > :04:57.the course. It was such an honour to be part of

:04:58. > :05:00.it. I can't wait for 2018 where, hopefully, I will be following in

:05:01. > :05:04.Kelly and Jade's footsteps and winning medals. I've been on this

:05:05. > :05:06.team since 2012, and its 2014 now so two years. But obviously I had been

:05:07. > :05:20.skiing before then. When I'm training on the snow, I

:05:21. > :05:25.train through courses and gates, and then when I'm not on the snow I go

:05:26. > :05:29.to the gym, so I do a lot of cycling and a lot of rowing. Sticking with

:05:30. > :05:32.sport and good news for driver Lewis Hamilton - he's won the Malaysian

:05:33. > :05:35.Formula One Grand Prix. He started the race in pole position

:05:36. > :05:39.but faced tough competition from his Mercedes team mate Nico Rosberg. But

:05:40. > :05:42.he pulled through and Rosberg had to settle for second place. The win is

:05:43. > :05:46.Hamilton's first in Malaysia and first since his win at last year's

:05:47. > :05:49.Hungarian Grand Prix That's all from me, Newsround's back for your last

:05:50. > :05:54.bulletin of the day just before 2pm.
