:02:28. > :02:30.poisoned on their skin and lots of animals eat the toads and the worry
:02:31. > :02:35.is that of animals come along and eat the toads, they will die at this
:02:36. > :02:45.could have a serious effect on the animals of Madagascar. They are
:02:46. > :02:50.related to another species introduced on purpose to Australia
:02:51. > :02:54.in the 1930s, to get rid of beetles and now there are numbers in
:02:55. > :02:58.Australia are in their millions and they are having a damaging effect on
:02:59. > :03:01.other animals. The worry is that the same thing could happen with Asian
:03:02. > :03:04.common toads in Madagascar. Scientists are saying we have to act
:03:05. > :03:10.fast, because we think toads have only just arrived in Madagascar and
:03:11. > :03:13.if we act quickly, we want to remove them, but scientists are talking
:03:14. > :03:16.about eradicating, killing off the toads in Madagascar before they can
:03:17. > :03:20.spread too far. This might mean plucking the toads out of the ponds.
:03:21. > :03:22.This may sound cruel, but researchers say removing them is the
:03:23. > :03:27.only way to save local wildlife. England's footballers are hoping to
