:00:37. > :00:38.China currently runs Hong Kong, and has said they'll provide

:00:39. > :00:41.a list of leaders they approve of for people to vote on.

:00:42. > :00:44.But the protestors say they should be able to choose whoever they want.

:00:53. > :00:59.Some of the people in Hong Kong want more freedom to speak out, use the

:01:04. > :01:06.of the government. China is currently deciding an earnest of

:01:07. > :01:11.people they say can stand for election in Hong Kong. But that has

:01:12. > :01:16.made some people angry, as they want to make their own choice. So

:01:17. > :01:18.protesters are causing problems for the authorities, and telling people

:01:19. > :01:25.around the world about their frustrations. What they want is a

:01:26. > :01:27.free and fair vote to elect Hong Kong's leader, but Beijing says all

:01:28. > :01:34.of the candidates must be preapproved in order to assure

:01:35. > :01:39.loyalty to China. What you have is two competing visions, and the

:01:40. > :01:44.danger is that if these protests continue, the situation can spiral

:01:45. > :01:47.out of control. Chinese TV and radio are not reporting the protests, so

:01:48. > :01:53.most people there don't know what is happening. But in Hong Kong, it is

:01:54. > :01:59.big news. The police are trying to move the demonstrators away, but

:02:00. > :02:07.they are refusing to leave. TRANSLATION: If we miss this chance

:02:08. > :02:16.to fight for ourselves, Hong Kong will regret it.

:02:17. > :02:27.Hong -- China wants other countries not to support Hong Kong.

:02:28. > :02:29.A top charity say wildlife populations are falling fast.

:02:30. > :02:33.A new report by the World Wildlife Fund says the numbers of mammals,

:02:34. > :02:35.birds, reptiles and fish more than halved between 1970 and 2010.

:02:36. > :02:38.Experts believe the drop in numbers is due to hunting, pollution,

:02:39. > :02:40.climate change and the destruction of where the animals live.

:04:53. > :04:58.skin, and even if you do get bitten, it is just like a nettle sting.

:04:59. > :05:02.So if you spot a spider, don't fear, just tell a grown-up who can help
