:00:36. > :00:41.Scotland have confirmed one person has died, but say that number is

:00:42. > :00:44.expected to rise. Fire crews worked through the night to help rescue

:01:08. > :01:13.make the building safe. Last night a police helicopter crashed into the

:01:14. > :01:16.roof of a pub in the city centre. Alex Salmond called it a black day

:01:17. > :01:21.for Glasgow and praised the emergency services. I think all of

:01:22. > :01:28.us have seen over the last few hours, the speed and the effect of

:01:29. > :01:35.the mobilisation of the emergency services in dealing with this. We

:01:36. > :01:39.are still in a search and recovery phase. Our prayers are we are

:01:40. > :01:46.successful and we recover people alive. Here you can see the wreckage

:01:47. > :01:48.of the helicopter lying on the roof. More than 100 people were inside

:01:49. > :02:00.watching a band. the speakers had blown, but then I

:02:01. > :02:04.looked around and this cloud of dust suddenly took over the whole pub.

:02:05. > :02:12.That is when I realised things were serious. It did not take long for

:02:13. > :02:16.emergency crews to arrive. The revered in minutes helping bring

:02:17. > :02:20.injured people out of the building. Know their main focus is making sure

:02:21. > :02:25.the building is secure, but it is feared their work could take a long

:02:26. > :02:29.time. An investigation will try to work out how this tragedy could have

:02:30. > :02:38.happened. It's not known why the helicopter

:02:39. > :02:41.came down. An investigation will start to try and work out just what

:02:42. > :02:45.happened. People have started laying flowers at the scene. Across parts

:02:46. > :02:47.of Scotland, people have been paying tribute to those injured and

:02:48. > :02:50.affected by the accident. In Falkirk, where Glasgow Rangers are

:02:51. > :02:53.playing in the Scottish Cup, a minute's silence was held in the

:02:54. > :02:59.stadium before the game kicked off. Martin is in Glasgow for Newsround.

:03:00. > :03:04.He's been telling us the latest. I am about 200 yards from the pub,

:03:05. > :03:08.where at around 10:30pm last night, I helicopter crashed through the

:03:09. > :03:14.roof. It's impossible to get any closer. Police have cordoned off a

:03:15. > :03:18.massive part of the city of Glasgow, and are trying to stop people

:03:19. > :03:22.getting any closer to the scene of the incident. Everywhere you look

:03:23. > :03:26.there are emergency services. Fire engines everywhere, police cars,

:03:27. > :03:30.this is normally a day when people do Christmas shopping and it is a

:03:31. > :03:33.celebration here because it is St Andrews Day. At instead of enjoying

:03:34. > :03:38.themselves and getting Christmas presents, they are trying to come to

:04:44. > :04:46.came to an end at lunchtime today, three weeks earlier than scheduled.

:04:47. > :04:49.The cull was an attempt to stop badgers spreading a disease called

:04:50. > :04:52.TB which affects cows. But it's been called off because not enough

:04:53. > :04:55.badgers have been killed to meet targets. A similar pilot in Somerset

:04:56. > :04:59.ended last month after it also failed to meet targets. Opponents

:05:00. > :05:02.said the cull would have no effect and vaccinating badgers against TB

:05:03. > :05:05.would be a better option. Last up, have the Christmas lights
