:01:24. > :01:26.There's lots more on the Newsround website about Sir Terry

:01:27. > :01:29.Did you know that around the country right now,

:01:30. > :01:33.there are thousands of children like you caring

:01:34. > :01:38.They are called Young Carers and take on a lot of the jobs around

:01:39. > :01:42.Charlotte is a Young Carer who looks after her mum -

:01:43. > :01:47.One of the first thing to remember about caring for my mother is that

:01:48. > :01:52.she couldn't do things other mothers could do. Things would get too much

:01:53. > :01:56.for her and she would have to lie down and withdraw herself from

:01:57. > :02:01.situations, and as a child that made me feel really bad, so why try to

:02:02. > :02:05.make her feel happy and draw stuff for her to lighten the mood. I'm

:02:06. > :02:10.with the other mothers lifting up their children and going running

:02:11. > :02:17.with them, and I would be like, why can't my mother do that for me? My

:02:18. > :02:22.mother couldn't help it and they don't blame her for it, but I knew

:02:23. > :02:27.something wasn't right. A certain teacher that helped me realise that

:02:28. > :02:30.something really was wrong, she was one of the first people that I ever

:02:31. > :02:37.told, and they got the support by needed. I broken down in tears. I

:02:38. > :02:42.was not sad, it was just the realisation that that was what was

:02:43. > :02:47.wrong, and at that point, it was oh, my God, that is what is wrong! And

:02:48. > :02:53.she nodded at me and said, that is OK and we will work on this. It

:02:54. > :02:59.sounds cliched, but at that moment I did not feel I was completely alone

:03:00. > :03:04.anymore. There are a lot of experiences to have, and some are

:03:05. > :03:08.good and some are bad, and that is OK, because being a carer has made

:03:09. > :03:13.me who I am, because I would not be half as resilient if I did not go

:03:14. > :03:16.through that, I know how to deal with the disappointments and

:03:17. > :03:22.anxieties, as they have seen my mother go through it and buy have

:03:23. > :03:24.had to go through it with her. -- and I have had to.

:03:25. > :03:26.Next, what did you have for breakfast this morning?

:03:55. > :03:59.any good! We've told you a lot on Newsround

:04:00. > :04:02.about the warm weather we've been The mild temperatures are causing

:04:03. > :04:05.problems for some animals. Hayley's been finding out why toads

:04:06. > :04:13.and frogs are needing a helping Why did the toad cross the road? To

:04:14. > :04:16.get to the pundit was born in, of course! It is the migration route

:04:17. > :04:23.they do every year in the UK, returning to their childhood patch.

:04:24. > :04:27.They go to lay eggs so that the next generation can be born, but this

:04:28. > :04:30.year, because of the warmer temperatures we have had, they think

:04:31. > :04:36.that Spring has arrived already on the said they are making the trip

:04:37. > :04:41.early in places like Norfolk and the South East. This is causing huge

:04:42. > :04:46.problems for them. In the springtime, they begin their journey

:04:47. > :04:51.across busy roads and highways, but that usually happens at night when

:04:52. > :04:56.traffic is low, but this year, the toads are making the adventure in

:04:57. > :05:00.winter, so darkness happens earlier, around five o'clock, when the most

:05:01. > :05:06.amount of traffic is on the road, so it is a much more dangerous trip,

:05:07. > :05:10.but thanks to volunteers around the Norfolk, the toads are being given a

:05:11. > :05:14.helping hand and are literally being carried from one side of the road to

:05:15. > :05:21.the other. Therefore, they have helped over 33,000 happy toads.

:05:22. > :05:29.Everyone has been warned to look out for toads, and if you do see you

:05:30. > :05:32.one, now you know why it is crossing, to get to the pond to make

:05:33. > :05:36.the next generation. Next, to the Australian Open tennis

:05:42. > :05:44.players in the world, is the first Briton to win

:05:45. > :05:50.the title in 82 years. Andy, you should be in bed, I don't

:05:51. > :05:52.know why you are here! We will be there to support you tomorrow.
