:00:17. > :00:30.First to the town of Port Talbot in South Wales.

:00:31. > :00:32.It's home to the biggest steelworks in the country.

:00:33. > :00:37.People there are worried because Tata Steel, which owns

:00:38. > :00:42.the site, wants to sell it and workers could lose their jobs.

:00:43. > :00:45.The company employs around 10,000 people at 14 sites in Britain.

:00:46. > :00:49.It wants to get rid of them because they are losing money.

:00:50. > :00:58.Ricky, what have people there told you?

:00:59. > :01:01.Good morning from Port Talbot in south Wales, where the wait

:01:02. > :01:07.continues for families who don't know what will happen

:01:08. > :01:08.to the massive steelworks you can see behind me.

:01:09. > :01:14.We know that Prime Minister David Cameron will hold a special meeting

:01:15. > :01:16.this morning to discuss the future of the steel industry

:01:17. > :01:25.It has been really busy here this morning and lots of trucks have been

:01:26. > :01:27.coming into the factory. In this town, this factory has a

:01:28. > :01:33.long-standing tradition of being here. Many people work here and many

:01:34. > :01:37.children's parents work in the factory behind me. As we have been

:01:38. > :01:41.finding out, people live next door to someone who works here, so I went

:01:42. > :01:43.to find out what would happen if things change.

:01:44. > :01:56.Wherever you are in Port Talbot, it is not hard to miss

:01:57. > :02:09.You can see it from pretty much all over the town.

:02:10. > :02:12.And kids have been telling me today that they will be pretty sad

:02:13. > :02:15.Alfie and Lily, your dad works at the steelworks.

:02:16. > :02:17.He has worked there for six years, hasn't he?

:02:18. > :02:21.And what do you think would happen if it was to close?

:02:22. > :02:24.Well, I would miss seeing the ships going in and out.

:02:25. > :02:27.What is it like having a dad who works at the steelworks?

:02:28. > :02:34.You have got the beach and then the mountains where I live,

:02:35. > :02:37.which is like my back garden, so it is nice to explore different

:02:38. > :02:41.And how much of a big deal is the steelworks for this town?

:02:42. > :02:43.It is major because there are so many jobs there

:02:44. > :02:45.and so many of my friends' parents work there.

:02:46. > :02:52.And it means so much to them if they keep their jobs.

:02:53. > :02:56.I know lots of people, especially loads of neighbours

:02:57. > :03:00.It would affect them because they all have children.

:03:01. > :03:03.So, if it closes, then they will all be out of work.

:03:04. > :03:05.If it was to close, would it be quite sad?

:03:06. > :03:08.Yes, it would be bad for the country and the economy.

:03:09. > :03:13.Not just the community, but also some smaller businesses

:03:14. > :03:17.Could you imagine Port Talbot without the factory?

:03:36. > :03:44.Next, despite a wet and windy winter, over half a million people

:03:45. > :03:47.have been out in their gardens to take part in this year's

:03:48. > :03:52.The Big Garden Bird Watch aims to find out which types of birds

:03:53. > :04:03.are doing well and which need our help.

:04:04. > :04:06.Over the course of the count, more than 8 million birds have been

:04:07. > :04:08.counted and the top spot goes to the house

:04:09. > :04:11.There was also good news for the long-tailed tit,

:04:12. > :04:22.England beat the Black Caps by seven wickets to secure their place

:04:23. > :04:26.Making it to the final completes a remarkable turnaround from last

:04:27. > :04:27.year's World Cup, where England were knocked out

:04:28. > :04:35.But England women were unable to win their semifinal,

:04:36. > :04:39.falling to a five-run defeat by Australia earlier in the day.

:04:40. > :04:42.Next, to a baby gorilla who didn't have the easiest start in life.

:04:43. > :04:44.Afear's mum had problems giving birth to her,

:04:45. > :04:47.so vets had to do an operation on mum to help.

:04:48. > :04:50.Afear's mum is recovering but in the meantime keeper Lindsey

:04:51. > :04:53.has taken her home so she can feed Afear through the night.

:04:54. > :04:58.The little gorilla is now doing well and it's hoped her mum will be able
