0:00:05 > 0:00:07Hi, I'm Martin, it's Friday afternoon and this is Newsround.

0:00:07 > 0:00:10Here's what's coming up on the show.

0:00:10 > 0:00:16It's finals weekend for The Voice and we've got the lowdown for you.

0:00:16 > 0:00:25And could this be the world's most famous tortoise?

0:00:26 > 0:00:31But first, today could be a big day in the fight to save elephants.

0:00:31 > 0:00:34Over the last seven years the number of the animals in the wild

0:00:34 > 0:00:34has dropped by a third because of poaching.

0:00:36 > 0:00:38And it's all because their tusks are made of ivory.

0:00:38 > 0:00:40Here's Ricky with more.

0:00:40 > 0:00:43Thousands of shops across China sell ornaments like this

0:00:43 > 0:00:47which are made out of ivory.

0:00:47 > 0:00:52It's big business here and the items are worth a lot of money.

0:00:52 > 0:00:54Ivory comes from the tusks of elephants, and in Africa

0:00:54 > 0:01:00many of the animals are illegally hunted for that ivory.

0:01:00 > 0:01:03Pressure has been put on China for years to end its part

0:01:03 > 0:01:06in the ivory trade.

0:01:06 > 0:01:10And today almost half the factories and shops that sell ivory in China

0:01:10 > 0:01:10have been shut down.

0:01:10 > 0:01:17And the rest will be closed by the end of the year.

0:01:17 > 0:01:19China is the country with the world's largest ivory market.

0:01:19 > 0:01:26That's where we see the greatest demand.

0:01:26 > 0:01:29So this change is going make a real difference for African elephants

0:01:29 > 0:01:33because if we can reduce that demand all law abiding citizens will not

0:01:33 > 0:01:34be buying the ivory.

0:01:34 > 0:01:37This move won't totally end the problem as lots of ivory

0:01:37 > 0:01:41is bought and sold illegally, which is much harder to stop.

0:01:41 > 0:01:46But conservationists are glad that China is closing its ivory shops

0:01:46 > 0:01:49and hopes it will mean less is bought and sold in the country,

0:01:49 > 0:01:51saving the lives of thousands of elephants.

0:01:51 > 0:01:54If you want any more information on the ivory trade or animal

0:01:54 > 0:01:56poaching then head online and check out our guide.

0:01:56 > 0:01:59That's also where you can find our special programme showing

0:01:59 > 0:02:03how this issue is facing Rhino as well.

0:02:03 > 0:02:09Next, this rocket launch behind me is no ordinary lift-off.

0:02:09 > 0:02:13It's the first time a rocket's headed back into space after having

0:02:13 > 0:02:15been there before.

0:02:15 > 0:02:18Normally rocket parts are used only once and then scrapped or destroyed

0:02:18 > 0:02:19when it lands back on Earth.

0:02:19 > 0:02:22But American company SpaceX has found a way of landing rocket parts

0:02:22 > 0:02:25safely back on Earth and then re-using them to head

0:02:25 > 0:02:26back into space.

0:02:26 > 0:02:28It's hoped this will help make rocket launches a lot

0:02:28 > 0:02:30cheaper than before.

0:02:30 > 0:02:33Next, for almost three months we've been watching singers battle it out

0:02:33 > 0:02:35to be crowned the winner of The Voice UK.

0:02:35 > 0:02:37This weekend four finalists will be on that stage

0:02:37 > 0:02:38fighting for your votes.

0:02:38 > 0:02:45Ricky's been checking out the competition.

0:02:45 > 0:02:46The Voice.

0:02:46 > 0:02:50It may have switched channels.

0:02:50 > 0:02:58But that hasn't stopped the talent from shining through.

0:02:58 > 0:03:00This year, new coaches were thrown into the mix.

0:03:00 > 0:03:03Jennifer Hudson, Tom came back and this guy - Gavin Rossdale.

0:03:03 > 0:03:04Poor thing.

0:03:04 > 0:03:10he's the only one without a contestant in this weekend's final.

0:03:10 > 0:03:15So let's meet 2017's finalists.

0:03:15 > 0:03:25For Team JHud, Jamie and Mo.

0:03:25 > 0:03:35Tom Jones has this duo called Into the Ark - clever name!

0:03:36 > 0:03:41And Michelle will be singing her heart out for will-i-am.

0:03:41 > 0:03:43So can the sixth series of The Voice deliver a superstar?

0:03:43 > 0:03:45It's not going to be easy.

0:03:47 > 0:03:48Well, maybe not.

0:03:48 > 0:03:50This year ITV say they're doing things differently.

0:03:50 > 0:03:52The winner won't release a new single straight away.

0:03:52 > 0:03:55Instead a recording of their final performance will be available

0:04:05 > 0:04:08with top producers and release an album a few weeks later.

0:04:08 > 0:04:11Next to a snake drinking a bottle of water.

0:04:11 > 0:04:16That's right!

0:04:16 > 0:04:19India has been hit with a serious drought, which means that there's

0:04:19 > 0:04:21been no rain for quite a while and there

0:04:21 > 0:04:23isn't a lot of water.
