:02:29. > :02:32.US space agency NASA is looking for ways to get it astronauts to and
:02:33. > :02:35.from space, and now big businesses are pitching their ideas.
:02:36. > :02:40.NASA used to use space shuttles, a bit like planes, which would
:02:41. > :02:44.blast off attached to a rocket and glide back down to Earth to land.
:02:45. > :02:47.But the shuttles were retired in 2011 and since then America has
:02:48. > :02:53.had to use Russian rockets which can be very expensive.
:02:54. > :02:56.Unlike the old shuttles, the Dragon V2 doesn't need a runway to land.
:02:57. > :03:00.It can use side thrusters and legs to land vertically like a helicopter
:03:01. > :03:07.It is now up to NASA to decide whether they'll use these in the
:03:08. > :03:10.future, and there are several other companies bidding to be chosen.
