0:00:24 > 0:00:27KNOCK ON DOOR

0:00:27 > 0:00:30- ALIEN VOICE:- Delivery for Ricky.

0:00:30 > 0:00:33Three pots of Alien Gloop.

0:00:33 > 0:00:34Sign here, please.

0:00:37 > 0:00:39That's weird.

0:00:39 > 0:00:40I'll have to send that back,

0:00:40 > 0:00:42but I haven't got any stamps.

0:00:43 > 0:00:45I know, I'll make a human stamp.

0:00:47 > 0:00:50So, I'm going to draw an oval on this cardboard,

0:00:50 > 0:00:5221 centimetres high.

0:00:55 > 0:00:57This is the hole I'll put my face through.

0:00:57 > 0:00:59You need to make the hole as big as your face.

0:00:59 > 0:01:02Measure it with a ruler.

0:01:02 > 0:01:03Great.

0:01:05 > 0:01:06It fits perfectly.

0:01:08 > 0:01:10Now I'm going to paint that red.

0:01:10 > 0:01:12Yeah.

0:01:14 > 0:01:15It gets a bit messy here

0:01:15 > 0:01:17so make sure you put newspaper down.

0:01:17 > 0:01:19You don't want to wreck your mum and dad's favourite table.

0:01:19 > 0:01:21OK, that's all done.

0:01:21 > 0:01:23Now, if you are doing this at home you'll need to wait for it to dry,

0:01:23 > 0:01:25but not me. I'm the Art Ninja.

0:01:27 > 0:01:28There we are.

0:01:28 > 0:01:31Now, stamps always have those lovely frilly bits around the edges

0:01:31 > 0:01:34and I'm going to be using the inside of an old cereal box.

0:01:40 > 0:01:43So, you should end up with these lovely frilly bits,

0:01:43 > 0:01:46but I've only got two and I need four,

0:01:46 > 0:01:48so let's make some more.

0:01:48 > 0:01:52Right. I can start gluing these on now.

0:01:52 > 0:01:53Up here.

0:01:55 > 0:01:59I've also cut out from some card a number and a couple of letters

0:01:59 > 0:02:01just to show this stamp is first-class.

0:02:07 > 0:02:09Now, as a stamp, it's pretty much there

0:02:09 > 0:02:11but most stamps, a little touch of royalty,

0:02:11 > 0:02:13and mine's not going to be different.

0:02:13 > 0:02:15So, I'm going to make myself a crown.

0:02:15 > 0:02:19For the crown, I'm going to be using the same thin cereal box card.

0:02:27 > 0:02:28Now, you don't want to see me painting

0:02:28 > 0:02:30and watching paint dry all the time,

0:02:30 > 0:02:33so let's use some more ninja skills.

0:02:33 > 0:02:34Nice.

0:02:34 > 0:02:36It's nice and gold now.

0:02:36 > 0:02:39Very royal, but it's missing some jewels

0:02:39 > 0:02:42and I've cut some shapes out of some strips of shiny paper.

0:02:42 > 0:02:45You can use things like wrapping paper, sweet wrappers, foil,

0:02:45 > 0:02:48anything you've got lying around that you think will work.

0:02:48 > 0:02:51And I'm going to glue-stick them to the top of my crown.

0:02:56 > 0:02:59Pearls on the top here.

0:03:00 > 0:03:01OK. Stick it through.

0:03:04 > 0:03:09And I'm going to attach it with a bit of sticky tape either side.

0:03:11 > 0:03:14So, I'm going to create some grey hair by using some grey strips

0:03:14 > 0:03:17of card and curling them around a pencil.

0:03:17 > 0:03:20Just getting it all the way around like that.

0:03:21 > 0:03:24Lovely. And you attach them to the inside here.

0:03:24 > 0:03:26I've got loads of these,

0:03:26 > 0:03:27so I'll get sticking.

0:03:33 > 0:03:36I think that's enough now. Time to try it on.

0:03:37 > 0:03:41Yeah. Fits perfectly.

0:03:41 > 0:03:42Let's get a picture.

0:03:42 > 0:03:44Awesome.

0:03:44 > 0:03:48While that's printing, let's have a look at some other ideas.

0:03:48 > 0:03:50We can go

0:03:50 > 0:03:51all princessy.

0:03:51 > 0:03:53Oh, hello, darling. Ooh.

0:03:54 > 0:03:55And then we can also go

0:03:55 > 0:03:58a little bit old-fashioned.

0:03:58 > 0:03:59Oh, ho, ho.

0:03:59 > 0:04:02The stamps in my day were grey.

0:04:05 > 0:04:08They've probably printed now.

0:04:08 > 0:04:09Ah, yes.

0:04:11 > 0:04:14I will need to use a real stamp, too, though.

0:04:14 > 0:04:15This one's just for fun.

0:04:17 > 0:04:21"Having a rad time,

0:04:21 > 0:04:22"Ricky."

0:04:23 > 0:04:25First-class art.

0:04:25 > 0:04:28I'd best go post this now.

0:04:28 > 0:04:30I'm sure that picture moves on its own.

0:04:30 > 0:04:32It's almost as if it is animated.

0:04:35 > 0:04:37SCREAMS

0:04:44 > 0:04:46- Oh.- What is it, mate?

0:04:46 > 0:04:49I just had the worst nightmare about having my hair cut.

0:04:49 > 0:04:53Tell me about it. Your haircut gives me loads of nightmares.

0:04:56 > 0:04:59- ALL:- Ricky, what can you make with these?

0:04:59 > 0:05:01So, what are your names?

0:05:01 > 0:05:02Hi, I'm Amelia.

0:05:02 > 0:05:04- I'm Tamia.- And I'm Jaya.

0:05:04 > 0:05:06And where are you guys from?

0:05:06 > 0:05:08- ALL:- We're from Manchester.- Awesome.

0:05:08 > 0:05:11I love Manchester. So what have you guys got for me today?

0:05:11 > 0:05:16- ALL:- Can you make something out of old library cards?

0:05:16 > 0:05:18Library cards?

0:05:18 > 0:05:20I've got an idea that will get you guys shouting.

0:05:20 > 0:05:21Not in a library, though.

0:05:21 > 0:05:23Got to be quiet there.

0:05:23 > 0:05:25Let me just grab my stuff.

0:05:25 > 0:05:26I'm back.

0:05:26 > 0:05:28I've got some paper,

0:05:28 > 0:05:30some paint.

0:05:30 > 0:05:32I've got a tissue. I'll need that for cleaning up.

0:05:32 > 0:05:33And my old library card.

0:05:33 > 0:05:35I'm going to use my library card

0:05:35 > 0:05:38to make a cityscape by scraping paint along the paper.

0:05:41 > 0:05:43Need quite a lot of it on there.

0:05:43 > 0:05:45What's your favourite city?

0:05:45 > 0:05:47- ALL:- Manchester!

0:05:47 > 0:05:49Obviously.

0:05:49 > 0:05:51Thin and thick buildings.

0:05:51 > 0:05:55I'm just scraping the paint along using the edge of the card.

0:05:55 > 0:05:59Obviously, when you do it, you can do any skyline you want.

0:05:59 > 0:06:01I'm just going to keep topping up paint on the card

0:06:01 > 0:06:04and turning it round to make sure I spread out the paint equally.

0:06:04 > 0:06:08OK, I've got the silhouette of my cityscape done.

0:06:08 > 0:06:10Do you want to see how I'm getting on?

0:06:10 > 0:06:11- ALL:- Yes, please.

0:06:12 > 0:06:13- Wow.- Think it's looking good?

0:06:13 > 0:06:16- That's cool.- You ain't seen nothing yet.

0:06:16 > 0:06:20Let's put some lights on by using a little bit of white and yellow.

0:06:20 > 0:06:22I've also got some red and blue.

0:06:22 > 0:06:25I'm going to use the corner rather than the whole thing.

0:06:26 > 0:06:29I'm just doing quick dashes with it.

0:06:30 > 0:06:31Do some strips there.

0:06:31 > 0:06:35This picture is shaping up to be a kind of New York skyline.

0:06:35 > 0:06:37Lots of lights on.

0:06:37 > 0:06:39It's not very good for their energy bill.

0:06:40 > 0:06:42OK. I'm pretty happy with that.

0:06:42 > 0:06:44Add a little bit of yellow.

0:06:47 > 0:06:49Just do some dashes here and there.

0:06:49 > 0:06:52I'm going to put some red in there, now, as well.

0:06:52 > 0:06:55Just put in little injections of colour

0:06:55 > 0:06:57where there is a lot of black.

0:06:57 > 0:06:58Let's go for some blue.

0:06:58 > 0:07:00You can use any colour you like.

0:07:03 > 0:07:05Right, I think my picture is coming together now.

0:07:05 > 0:07:08Maybe this city is on, like, a river.

0:07:08 > 0:07:10A little shimmer down like that.

0:07:10 > 0:07:13All the lights are reflecting in the water.

0:07:16 > 0:07:18Right, I think I'm there.

0:07:18 > 0:07:21- Do you guys want to have a look? ALL:- Yeah.
