0:00:05 > 0:00:07It's a new day.

0:00:07 > 0:00:10Better get my ninja on...

0:00:10 > 0:00:12and my clothes.

0:00:27 > 0:00:30Being a ninja is almost like being a magician,

0:00:30 > 0:00:32which is what Rich is doing...

0:00:32 > 0:00:34almost being a magician.

0:00:35 > 0:00:38- ANNOUNCER:- Please welcome, Rich!

0:00:38 > 0:00:39What's your talent?

0:00:39 > 0:00:43Today, Rickies, I will be performing...

0:00:43 > 0:00:45magic!

0:00:45 > 0:00:48Now, this I've got to see.

0:00:48 > 0:00:50Prepare to be razzle-dazzled by Raheem,

0:00:50 > 0:00:53the incredible disappearing rabbit.

0:00:53 > 0:00:56But first, to ensure the spell is not broken,

0:00:56 > 0:00:58close your eyes.

0:01:02 > 0:01:05Alakazam! Abraca-rabbit!

0:01:05 > 0:01:08Bunny-offski!

0:01:13 > 0:01:16Sorry, pet, maybe next year.

0:01:16 > 0:01:18BUZZER SOUNDS

0:01:24 > 0:01:26Here's something that's truly magic.

0:01:26 > 0:01:29I'm telling you, it's a magic box.

0:01:29 > 0:01:31What are Rich and Ella doing?

0:01:31 > 0:01:32- It's not a magic box.- It is!

0:01:32 > 0:01:35Totally magic. Trust me.

0:01:35 > 0:01:37Get in.

0:01:39 > 0:01:42Whoa! Is this some kind of magic box portal?

0:01:43 > 0:01:45No, he's thinking inside the box...

0:01:45 > 0:01:47and outside the box.

0:01:47 > 0:01:49Now, to make this cool teleporting box animation,

0:01:49 > 0:01:53you'll need a couple of cardboard boxes, a large open space,

0:01:53 > 0:01:56some friends, and a tablet with animation app installed.

0:01:56 > 0:02:00And you can put it together in just three Ninja Moves.

0:02:00 > 0:02:03Ninja Move number one... You need to delegate.

0:02:03 > 0:02:06You need one person to teleport, one person to be the box master,

0:02:06 > 0:02:07and somebody to direct.

0:02:07 > 0:02:08Ninja Move number two...

0:02:08 > 0:02:10Right, I'm going to set up our tablet device,

0:02:10 > 0:02:13and we're going to start shooting and just see where it takes us.

0:02:13 > 0:02:15The fun here is working out how we're going to make

0:02:15 > 0:02:18Ella disappear and reappear inside the boxes.

0:02:18 > 0:02:21And top tip - if you angle the boxes at the right level,

0:02:21 > 0:02:23you can hide behind them, so it looks like you're

0:02:23 > 0:02:25fully getting inside each time.

0:02:25 > 0:02:26Ninja Move number three...

0:02:26 > 0:02:28We're going to be making an animation loop,

0:02:28 > 0:02:31which means we're going to re-use the same frames.

0:02:31 > 0:02:35It's going to look like Ella here is stuck flying between two boxes.

0:02:35 > 0:02:37Now, because Rich is stood there, he needs to

0:02:37 > 0:02:40stay as still as possible while Ella moves across the floor.

0:02:41 > 0:02:44And each time you move something, capture a frame.

0:02:49 > 0:02:52OK, we've shot all of our frames, we've added some cool sound effects,

0:02:52 > 0:02:55I think it's time to take a look at our mini-masterpiece.

0:03:20 > 0:03:22Ah, sweet.

0:03:22 > 0:03:25It's a pretty simple animation, but it came out brilliantly.

0:03:25 > 0:03:27What do you think, guys? Guys?

0:03:27 > 0:03:29Guys?

0:03:29 > 0:03:31In the box.

0:03:35 > 0:03:38- Now, better clean up these boxes, then.- Yep.

0:03:38 > 0:03:41Richard? Don't close the box! I'm inside the box!

0:03:41 > 0:03:43Richard, don't! Richard! Noooo!

0:03:48 > 0:03:50- BOTH:- Ricky! Ricky! Ricky!

0:03:50 > 0:03:53Can you make art with an alarm clock?

0:03:53 > 0:03:56- Sorry, haven't got time for that one now. BOTH:- Aww!

0:03:56 > 0:04:00- Hi, Ricky.- Hey, it's Billie from Dixi.

0:04:00 > 0:04:03I was hoping you could help me make something out of this old keyboard.

0:04:03 > 0:04:05- You must have your wires crossed.- Aww.

0:04:05 > 0:04:08Sorry, but I think it's time to log off from this one.

0:04:08 > 0:04:11- Hey, what have these guys got?- Ricky!

0:04:11 > 0:04:15- Can you make art with a cereal box? - It's about time I was less flaky.

0:04:15 > 0:04:17- All right, I choose you. BOTH:- Yeah!

0:04:19 > 0:04:21- So, what are your names? - Nathanial.- Isabella.

0:04:21 > 0:04:24- And where are you going from? BOTH:- Bradford.

0:04:24 > 0:04:26So, art with a cereal box is a great suggestion,

0:04:26 > 0:04:28but I'm going to need something else from you as well.

0:04:28 > 0:04:30Isabella, can you come up to the screen?

0:04:30 > 0:04:32I need to take a picture of your eye.

0:04:32 > 0:04:35That's it. Closer, closer.

0:04:35 > 0:04:38OK, and... Ah, got it. Thank you.

0:04:38 > 0:04:40And now close the eye.

0:04:40 > 0:04:42Hey, got that one as well.

0:04:42 > 0:04:44Just going to go and print those out.

0:04:47 > 0:04:49I've got the two lovely pictures of your eye -

0:04:49 > 0:04:52one open, and one closed -

0:04:52 > 0:04:56and I've got myself a trusty cereal box.

0:04:56 > 0:04:58I'm going to start by just cutting off the front panel,

0:04:58 > 0:05:01the bottom and the back.

0:05:01 > 0:05:03Gavin's popping up vlogging all over the place today.

0:05:03 > 0:05:07- If you were to do a vlog, what would you do a vlog about?- Computer games?

0:05:07 > 0:05:10- And how about you, Nathanial? - How many backflips

0:05:10 > 0:05:13I can do in five minutes.

0:05:13 > 0:05:14That's a good idea, a challenge vlog.

0:05:14 > 0:05:18Right, so just got your eyes, here, and I'm going to use a ruler,

0:05:18 > 0:05:21and I'm going to draw lines along it the same width as the ruler.

0:05:21 > 0:05:24I guess if I did a vlog I would do an art-based vlog, or maybe,

0:05:24 > 0:05:27like, a ninja Vlog.

0:05:27 > 0:05:28Now, I'm just going to draw the same lines

0:05:28 > 0:05:31the width of the ruler on the other eye.

0:05:31 > 0:05:33So, do you guys have a favourite artist?

0:05:33 > 0:05:35- David Hockney.- Oh.

0:05:35 > 0:05:38I was kind of hoping you'd say me.

0:05:38 > 0:05:40- Equal to you, too.- Yes!

0:05:40 > 0:05:42Right, I'm just going to cut your eye into strips, now.

0:05:42 > 0:05:44So, the open one, I'm going to cut along these lines.

0:05:44 > 0:05:46And it's important when I organise them that I keep them

0:05:46 > 0:05:48in the right order,

0:05:48 > 0:05:50cos it's kind of hard to see what they are when they're as strips.

0:05:50 > 0:05:53And with this technique, you don't have to use pictures of eyes.

0:05:53 > 0:05:55You can use anything you like.

0:05:55 > 0:05:59I've finished with the open eye now, and I'm moving on to the closed one.

0:05:59 > 0:06:03Your eyelashes on your closed eye look really strange zoomed in.

0:06:03 > 0:06:06It's kind of like a moustache, or maybe a monobrow.

0:06:06 > 0:06:09Oh, yeah!

0:06:09 > 0:06:11Now I'm going to stick down the pictures of your eye

0:06:11 > 0:06:13to my piece of card. That's just with the glue stick.

0:06:13 > 0:06:16And I'm going to alternate between the two piles.

0:06:16 > 0:06:19So, one strip of eye open, one strip of eye closed,

0:06:19 > 0:06:22all the way along. Here we go.

0:06:22 > 0:06:24So, do you guys have any hobbies?

0:06:24 > 0:06:28Eating, sleeping, video games, art.

0:06:28 > 0:06:30It sounds like pretty much what I do.

0:06:30 > 0:06:32I'm just going to show you guys how I'm getting on,

0:06:32 > 0:06:34cos I think it looks super weird.

0:06:34 > 0:06:37It's like strips of your eye, alternately stuck along,

0:06:37 > 0:06:40- looks really alien, doesn't it?- Yeah.

0:06:40 > 0:06:43Cut off this excess bit, cos I don't need that.

0:06:43 > 0:06:46Now I'm going to use a ruler and the back of my scissors

0:06:46 > 0:06:49to score a line between where the pictures meet.

0:06:49 > 0:06:51This is to help it fold.

0:06:51 > 0:06:54If you're scoring at home, make sure you put a mat down

0:06:54 > 0:06:55to protect the table.

0:06:55 > 0:06:58What's your favourite kind of art to do?

0:06:58 > 0:07:00I like doing pointillism.

0:07:00 > 0:07:05- Wow!- It's like ordinary painting, but then you just do dots on it.

0:07:05 > 0:07:07Amazing!

0:07:07 > 0:07:09And now I'm going to fold it along my scored lines

0:07:09 > 0:07:10into a zig-zag shape.

0:07:10 > 0:07:14So, over, and then turn it over and fold it back again.

0:07:14 > 0:07:16This is called a concertina.

0:07:16 > 0:07:19- You guys ready to see it? BOTH:- Yeah.- OK.

0:07:19 > 0:07:23There's two parts to see. Here's the first one...

0:07:23 > 0:07:26- BOTH:- Cool.- ..and here's the second.

0:07:26 > 0:07:29- BOTH:- Cool!

0:07:29 > 0:07:32So, it kind of looks like it's blinking. Does it work?

0:07:32 > 0:07:35- BOTH:- Yeah.- So, can you see yourself making this?

0:07:35 > 0:07:37- BOTH:- "Eye" think so!

0:07:37 > 0:07:40Ha-ha! See what they did, there?

0:07:40 > 0:07:41What would you score it?

0:07:41 > 0:07:44- BOTH:- We give it a ten!

0:07:44 > 0:07:47Oh, with a massive, beautiful eye in the middle? An eye-ten.

0:07:47 > 0:07:50How about we have an "eye" five?

0:07:50 > 0:07:53- Thanks very much, guys! Great suggestion. BOTH:- Bye, Ricky!

0:08:01 > 0:08:05Keep your eye on Sarah - she's got a great vanishing trick.

0:08:11 > 0:08:13- WHISPERS:- Let's play a trick on Gav with our chalk.- What?

0:08:13 > 0:08:17Ah-chalk! I told you I've got the sniffles, mate.

0:08:17 > 0:08:20- Do you want to see something amazing?- Oh, go on.

0:08:23 > 0:08:25That's incredible!

0:08:25 > 0:08:27I'm going to tell everyone that you're not just a ninja -

0:08:27 > 0:08:29you're a superhero!

0:08:30 > 0:08:33Ha-ha-ha-ha! High five!

0:08:33 > 0:08:36Missed.

0:08:39 > 0:08:42Now go to the website and get your ninja on...

0:08:45 > 0:08:47Art Ninja!
