0:00:26 > 0:00:28Hello, I'm Ben Shires

0:00:28 > 0:00:31and this is Officially Amazing, where our mission is to cram

0:00:31 > 0:00:34the next 30 minutes with as many world records,

0:00:34 > 0:00:38world record holders and world record attempts as we possibly can.

0:00:38 > 0:00:43In this series, we search the planet for the longest...

0:00:43 > 0:00:47scariest...

0:00:47 > 0:00:49coolest...

0:00:49 > 0:00:53and weirdest records imaginable.

0:00:53 > 0:00:56Coming up in today's show - some rather splendid

0:00:56 > 0:00:59and official Guinness World Records, including...

0:01:00 > 0:01:05I get to play in one of the most epic football matches of all time

0:01:05 > 0:01:08in a game hoping to contain the most participants ever.

0:01:11 > 0:01:13Never have the words "don't try this at home"

0:01:13 > 0:01:17been as important as they are today, as the Space Cowboy attempts

0:01:17 > 0:01:19a chainsaw juggling record.

0:01:21 > 0:01:27Al visits this goat, but why? Because it can ride a skateboard.

0:01:29 > 0:01:30And we see something that is going to start

0:01:30 > 0:01:34appearing on everyone's birthday list this year. Haruka gets

0:01:34 > 0:01:37a go on the world's smallest manned helicopter.

0:01:37 > 0:01:41But first, let's head to North Germany to meet a man who is

0:01:41 > 0:01:43keen to LEAP into the record books.

0:01:53 > 0:01:56This is gymnast and basketballer Thilo Schwarck

0:01:56 > 0:02:00and he has combined those two skills to set the Guinness World Record

0:02:00 > 0:02:02for the furthest basketball dunk from a trampoline,

0:02:02 > 0:02:07which currently stands at a staggering distance of 7.75 metres.

0:02:10 > 0:02:13Today, he is hoping to beat his own record.

0:02:13 > 0:02:17I think it is time for me to go and say, "Guten tag, Thilo!"

0:02:18 > 0:02:21- Guten tag, Thilo.- Morning.

0:02:21 > 0:02:25This is an incredibly difficult thing to do.

0:02:25 > 0:02:29First you have to get as much height as possible on the trampoline

0:02:29 > 0:02:30without losing your balance.

0:02:30 > 0:02:34You then launch yourself towards the basket, ensuring you have

0:02:34 > 0:02:37both the distance and the height needed to stay above the hoop.

0:02:37 > 0:02:42Then you are ready for the final test - to slam dunk like a pro.

0:02:42 > 0:02:45A slam dunk is achieved when a player jumps in the air

0:02:45 > 0:02:47and manually powers the ball downward through the basket

0:02:47 > 0:02:50with one or both hands over the rim.

0:02:50 > 0:02:52Not only is Thilo highly trained,

0:02:52 > 0:02:56but he is also in a gym with all the correct safety equipment.

0:02:56 > 0:02:58This is not something to attempt in your back garden.

0:02:58 > 0:03:03Get it all wrong and it could be you in the hoop and not the ball. Ouch!

0:03:03 > 0:03:06Now this record is not all about the slam dunk.

0:03:06 > 0:03:09You have to be pretty fit to attempt this kind of thing.

0:03:09 > 0:03:12Let's take a look at Thilo as he gets himself warmed up.

0:03:13 > 0:03:16Thilo is an incredible gymnast.

0:03:16 > 0:03:18These skills will hopefully help him

0:03:18 > 0:03:22do a slam dunk longer than the current 7.75 metre record.

0:03:22 > 0:03:25That is like him jumping over four of me

0:03:25 > 0:03:28lying down with my hair at full quiff.

0:03:28 > 0:03:31Thankfully he is not using me as a crash mat though.

0:03:31 > 0:03:33He is using crash mats.

0:03:33 > 0:03:36Unfortunately for me, I forgot my PE kit

0:03:36 > 0:03:39and so I had to wear the only thing they had left.

0:03:39 > 0:03:41At least Thilo is laughing.

0:03:41 > 0:03:44Look, Thilo, I want you to teach me

0:03:44 > 0:03:47some moves on this to bring up my credibility. I need to look cool.

0:03:47 > 0:03:49- Yeah, we can do that.- OK.

0:03:49 > 0:03:51For example, I could teach you a backflip.

0:03:51 > 0:03:52OK, that sounds good.

0:03:55 > 0:04:02That looks easy enough. My turn. Here we go. Up, two, three, four!

0:04:02 > 0:04:08Almost. Almost there. This time. No, not this time. Or that one.

0:04:08 > 0:04:11No, it is not remotely easy.

0:04:11 > 0:04:14Enough of me being an idiot, over to the professional.

0:04:14 > 0:04:16He has been warming up at this shorter distance

0:04:16 > 0:04:19but now it is time to get serious.

0:04:19 > 0:04:22Look at the concentration as he visualises the process.

0:04:25 > 0:04:27Will Thilo be able to beat his own record

0:04:27 > 0:04:32and slam dunk further than before? We will be back later to find out.

0:04:33 > 0:04:36For now, it is over to the other side of the globe

0:04:36 > 0:04:39and Al... Al! Al, you are facing the wrong way!

0:04:39 > 0:04:41Never mind.

0:04:50 > 0:04:53Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Happie.

0:04:53 > 0:04:57Happie is a three-year-old Nigerian dwarf cross -

0:04:57 > 0:05:00that is a breed by the way. She is not angry.

0:05:00 > 0:05:04But wait. Watch out, Happie!

0:05:04 > 0:05:06Someone has left a skateboard in your way!

0:05:12 > 0:05:15I mean, YES!

0:05:17 > 0:05:20That's right, Happie is a skateboarding goat.

0:05:22 > 0:05:26She entered the World Record Hall of Fame in March 2012 after

0:05:26 > 0:05:31managing to skateboard a staggering 36 metres.

0:05:31 > 0:05:34And here is the moment she set that Guinness World Record.

0:05:34 > 0:05:38Of course, skateboarding is not that difficult to master.

0:05:38 > 0:05:41# Help the aged... #

0:05:41 > 0:05:42OK, it is.

0:05:42 > 0:05:46I think we should find out more about this goatie phenomenon

0:05:46 > 0:05:50on from Happie's owner... # Melody! #

0:05:50 > 0:05:52How does a goat end up on a skateboard?

0:05:52 > 0:05:54Just walk me through that.

0:05:54 > 0:05:57So, one day I was riding my bike and she kept trying to jump on,

0:05:57 > 0:05:59so I gave her a skateboard to play with and eventually,

0:05:59 > 0:06:02she was playing around with it and she figured out how to skateboard.

0:06:02 > 0:06:05It is one thing to get her on the skateboard

0:06:05 > 0:06:08and get a little momentum, but how do you keep her on for so long?

0:06:08 > 0:06:11In the beginning she would have a running head start

0:06:11 > 0:06:14and jump on, which will give it momentum to keep going,

0:06:14 > 0:06:17but after some more training, she figured out to take one hoof off

0:06:17 > 0:06:21or even two hooves off to actually push a little bit,

0:06:21 > 0:06:26- jump back on and keep going.- So this goat understands momentum?- Yes.

0:06:26 > 0:06:29So, I hear you saying in your cute little British accents,

0:06:29 > 0:06:31"What is the challenge going to be, Al?"

0:06:31 > 0:06:35- So what IS the challenge going to be, Al?- So cute!

0:06:35 > 0:06:37I might not have been hot on the board before,

0:06:37 > 0:06:39but that is not the case any more.

0:06:39 > 0:06:44I have been practising, day and night, night and day, no sleep...

0:06:44 > 0:06:46Well, I haven't been practising, not prac...

0:06:46 > 0:06:50Well, I haven't done anything, but in my mind I am prepared.

0:06:50 > 0:06:51You'd better be, Al.

0:06:51 > 0:06:54Eight wheels, six legs, two species -

0:06:54 > 0:06:58but there can only be one winner in this 50 metre flat race,

0:06:58 > 0:06:59and it is probably Happie.

0:06:59 > 0:07:01It is not a record attempt,

0:07:01 > 0:07:05more a silly excuse to find out just how good this goat is.

0:07:05 > 0:07:08If Happie wins, I feed her her grains.

0:07:08 > 0:07:12When I win, I get a chocolate bar. Happie doesn't stand a chance.

0:07:12 > 0:07:16- Delusional.- Are you guys ready for man versus goat?

0:07:16 > 0:07:21We have never been readier. Let the skateboarding commence.

0:07:21 > 0:07:23And they are off.

0:07:23 > 0:07:26One simple domesticated creature against a goat.

0:07:27 > 0:07:30Happie is going to be hard to bleat, I mean beat.

0:07:32 > 0:07:36What is this? Looks like Melody is encouraging Happie with snacks.

0:07:36 > 0:07:38She is goading the goat.

0:07:38 > 0:07:41Can't help thinking that might work with Al too.

0:07:41 > 0:07:45Yes, he is now looking to chase down that snack for himself. Oh, dear.

0:07:45 > 0:07:48Would you look at that. Disaster for Jackson. He has gone off road.

0:07:48 > 0:07:49I've had it.

0:07:53 > 0:07:55To be honest, the goat never looked in doubt.

0:07:55 > 0:08:01- Happie has made Al sad, and won the challenge.- OK, the goat won.

0:08:01 > 0:08:06I still am bad at skateboarding. Happie, enjoy. Take it easy on me.

0:08:07 > 0:08:11- To the victor goes the spoils. - Unlucky there, Al, but take heart -

0:08:11 > 0:08:15maybe in the future you will get to beat a worm at skiing or something.

0:08:15 > 0:08:18Well, one thing is for sure, I will not be trying this.

0:08:26 > 0:08:28This is Chinese stunt driver Li Yatao.

0:08:31 > 0:08:35The question is, what Guinness World Record is he about to attempt?

0:08:37 > 0:08:39Is it...

0:08:47 > 0:08:51If it is the last one, I would love a double cheeseburger, fries,

0:08:51 > 0:08:56oh, and a load of napkins because I am a surprisingly messy eater.

0:08:56 > 0:08:59Anyway, the answer is...

0:08:59 > 0:09:03Oh, yeah. He is going to attempt the world's biggest car loop.

0:09:03 > 0:09:08It is 12.87 metres high, 3.68 metres wide

0:09:08 > 0:09:12and weighs in at 33,000 kilograms. That is a whole lot of steel.

0:09:12 > 0:09:15This stunt is terrifically dangerous.

0:09:15 > 0:09:18The car is not going to be held on like your average rollercoaster,

0:09:18 > 0:09:23so if Li goes to slowly, he could fall of the loop and be crushed!

0:09:23 > 0:09:27So, no fear but he does have a sense of humour.

0:09:27 > 0:09:30Before attempting the stunt, Li and the presenter trick

0:09:30 > 0:09:33the crowd by pretending she is going to take part in it.

0:09:39 > 0:09:40SCREAMING

0:09:40 > 0:09:42And that screaming is not me, it is

0:09:42 > 0:09:46the sound of a presenter who is no longer finding this joke funny.

0:09:46 > 0:09:49Li, meanwhile, is having a right laugh

0:09:49 > 0:09:52and stops only at the last possible moment.

0:09:55 > 0:09:58Time now for the actual record attempt.

0:09:58 > 0:10:00So while the presenter goes off to change her overalls,

0:10:00 > 0:10:03Li cleans up the passenger seat and they are good to go.

0:10:05 > 0:10:08It is no laughing matter now. Here he goes.

0:10:11 > 0:10:14Remember, if he is not fast enough the car will simply not

0:10:14 > 0:10:17get around the loop and will fall off.

0:10:23 > 0:10:28Officially, wow! That is a loop the loop in a real car!

0:10:28 > 0:10:3312.87 metres off the ground. Not too shabby.

0:10:36 > 0:10:41Now from officially loopy back to officially hoopy.

0:10:41 > 0:10:47Officially Dunked Part Two.

0:10:49 > 0:10:53Welcome back to Germany where in just a few short moments,

0:10:53 > 0:10:57this man, Thilo Schwarck, will be attempting to break his own

0:10:57 > 0:11:00record for the longest slam dunk from a trampoline.

0:11:00 > 0:11:04It currently stands at a distance of 7.75 metres

0:11:04 > 0:11:07and the crowd could not believe their eyes.

0:11:07 > 0:11:10But remember, this is a dangerous one.

0:11:10 > 0:11:13If Thilo misses or lands awkwardly, he could put himself in real

0:11:13 > 0:11:17danger of injury so, please, keep your fingers crossed at home.

0:11:17 > 0:11:20This is a fantastically challenging thing to do

0:11:20 > 0:11:22and requires hours of training.

0:11:22 > 0:11:24But just before Thilo goes for his attempt,

0:11:24 > 0:11:28he has agreed to teach me at a shorter distance.

0:11:28 > 0:11:30And, natural born sportsman that I am,

0:11:30 > 0:11:32I literally jumped at the chance to have a go.

0:11:34 > 0:11:37And if necessary another go.

0:11:37 > 0:11:39Hang on, just one more.

0:11:42 > 0:11:47One more. Come on, Ben! I'm in it this time. Oh, hang on!

0:11:52 > 0:11:53Come on! Enough about me.

0:11:53 > 0:11:55Back to the record attempt.

0:11:55 > 0:12:00An official adjudicator has set the new distance at 7.8 metres.

0:12:00 > 0:12:02All Thilo has to do is get it in.

0:12:02 > 0:12:06OK, this is the moment we have all been waiting for.

0:12:06 > 0:12:08Thilo is over there. So, Thilo, in your own time,

0:12:08 > 0:12:10if you're ready to go. We are all rooting for you.

0:12:10 > 0:12:14Thilo can use the full length of the trampoline to get more power

0:12:14 > 0:12:15and travel further.

0:12:15 > 0:12:18Remember, he is trying to beat the current record

0:12:18 > 0:12:22set at an extraordinary distance of 7.75 metres.

0:12:22 > 0:12:24It is not going to be easy to beat.

0:12:26 > 0:12:29Oh! Oh, he was way off there.

0:12:30 > 0:12:32He needs to get a lot more distance

0:12:32 > 0:12:34if he's going to break any records today.

0:12:34 > 0:12:36He clearly needs to up his game

0:12:36 > 0:12:39and he needs more power off that trampoline.

0:12:45 > 0:12:50Oh! Oh, it is another fail.

0:12:50 > 0:12:54He just didn't have enough power and he was still short of the target.

0:12:55 > 0:12:58Maybe it is just too far.

0:13:05 > 0:13:10Here he goes again. Come on, Thilo! We are all behind you.

0:13:21 > 0:13:22Oh! Yes!

0:13:23 > 0:13:26He did it!

0:13:26 > 0:13:30Thilo flew an incredible 7.8 metres beating his previous world record

0:13:30 > 0:13:33by just five centimetres.

0:13:35 > 0:13:36Congratulations, Thilo.

0:13:36 > 0:13:39You are a slam-dunking record breaker.

0:13:39 > 0:13:42It is an official Guinness World Record, so let's take this

0:13:42 > 0:13:45opportunity to enjoy another look at Thilo's skills in action.

0:13:46 > 0:13:49Right. After all that bouncing about,

0:13:49 > 0:13:53let's chill out on a beach for a bit with a load of record-breaking dogs.

0:13:55 > 0:13:59# It's the canine calypso Put your paws in the air

0:13:59 > 0:14:03# It's the canine calypso Doggy record breakers, yeah

0:14:03 > 0:14:07# They call me Striker and I'm a truly talented hound

0:14:07 > 0:14:12# I hold the record for the fastest time to wind a car window down

0:14:12 > 0:14:16# I set that record in 2004

0:14:16 > 0:14:21# Took 12 seconds to wind it down with my nose and a paw

0:14:21 > 0:14:25# I'm Anastasia and my world record goes with more of a bang

0:14:25 > 0:14:29# You might need to cover your ears when I get up and do my thing

0:14:29 > 0:14:33# I am the fastest dog to pop 100 balloons

0:14:33 > 0:14:39# Under 45 seconds and they've all gone boom!

0:14:39 > 0:14:40# It's the canine calypso

0:14:40 > 0:14:42# Wag your tail like you just don't care

0:14:42 > 0:14:45# For these prodigious peculiar pooches

0:14:45 > 0:14:47# Doggy record breakers, yeah

0:14:47 > 0:14:51# My name is Big Splash and I'm a valuable hound

0:14:51 > 0:14:55# I was purchased for £945,000

0:14:55 > 0:15:00# My owner is a Chinese multimillionaire

0:15:00 > 0:15:04# And I'm the most expensive dog ever, so there!

0:15:04 > 0:15:08# Well, they say money can't buy you love and we would agree

0:15:08 > 0:15:13# We were married in the largest dog wedding ceremony

0:15:13 > 0:15:17# 178 couples tied the knot

0:15:17 > 0:15:20# At the bow wow vows Now that is a lot

0:15:22 > 0:15:26# It's the canine calypso put your paws in the air

0:15:26 > 0:15:31# It's the canine calypso They are record breakers, yeah. #

0:15:31 > 0:15:35Dogs in limos?! Whatever next.

0:15:43 > 0:15:47This is Chayne Hultgren, also known as the Space Cowboy.

0:15:47 > 0:15:51A unique performer who holds countless Guinness World Records,

0:15:51 > 0:15:54mostly for really dangerous stuff.

0:15:54 > 0:15:55So far we have seen him

0:15:55 > 0:15:59narrowly miss a world record, not to mention my nose.

0:15:59 > 0:16:01He has also tasted victory when he juggled

0:16:01 > 0:16:05and ate three apples, setting a new world record in the process,

0:16:05 > 0:16:10but today sees him take on juggling of a much more terrifying kind.

0:16:10 > 0:16:12Did you hear the one about the sick juggler?

0:16:12 > 0:16:15He could not stop throwing up.

0:16:15 > 0:16:17Oh, guys! Don't... You have ruined it!

0:16:19 > 0:16:24OK. So, I can't juggle but the Space Cowboy sure can and today,

0:16:24 > 0:16:27he is going to be juggling with one of these.

0:16:27 > 0:16:30Yes, it is a chainsaw. It is for cutting stuff.

0:16:30 > 0:16:35Admittedly not normally tin cans and certainly not normally for juggling.

0:16:35 > 0:16:37This one has been specially adapted

0:16:37 > 0:16:41so even if you do have one at home, do not throw it about.

0:16:41 > 0:16:43That would be stupid.

0:16:43 > 0:16:45The Space Cowboy, however, is a professional

0:16:45 > 0:16:49and so today, he will try to set a new Guinness World Record for the

0:16:49 > 0:16:53most consecutive juggling catches with a chainsaw and two balls.

0:16:53 > 0:16:55Here are the rules.

0:16:55 > 0:16:59He must throw and catch the chain saw and two balls in turn.

0:16:59 > 0:17:03If he drops either the chainsaw or the balls, it is game over.

0:17:03 > 0:17:06And he needs to catch the chainsaw over 50 times to set

0:17:06 > 0:17:10a brand-new record. Here we go.

0:17:10 > 0:17:15- Space Cowboy, are you ready?- I am ready.- Then start her up. All right.

0:17:15 > 0:17:20On my count, three, two, one. Go!

0:17:21 > 0:17:25That is one catch, two. He is off to a strong start

0:17:25 > 0:17:27and strength is important.

0:17:27 > 0:17:30This challenge is not just dangerous, it is exhausting.

0:17:30 > 0:17:34That chainsaw weighs over 2.2 kilograms.

0:17:36 > 0:17:40There is the adjudicator, Craig, counting the catches.

0:17:41 > 0:17:47It is incredible. Strength, stamina and concentration are key here.

0:17:47 > 0:17:50Catching and throwing that heavy chainsaw takes much more

0:17:50 > 0:17:55effort than those balls. Remember, the chainsaw is still running.

0:17:55 > 0:17:57Catch the wrong end and he will not be juggling again in a hurry.

0:18:03 > 0:18:08After three minutes of constant juggling, he is beginning to tire.

0:18:08 > 0:18:09There is no time limit on this.

0:18:09 > 0:18:12It is all down to how long he can keep going.

0:18:12 > 0:18:14I am getting tired just watching it.

0:18:14 > 0:18:16Tired arms and a lapse in concentration could lead to

0:18:16 > 0:18:18a very nasty accident.

0:18:27 > 0:18:31That is it! He has done all he can, but was it enough?

0:18:31 > 0:18:33We know he juggled for over three minutes,

0:18:33 > 0:18:37but did he manage to beat 50 catches? Let's find out.

0:18:37 > 0:18:38Craig, did he do it?

0:18:38 > 0:18:41Did he get 50 consecutive chainsaw catches in a row?

0:18:41 > 0:18:46Incredibly, Chayne did 117. It is a brand-new Guinness World Record.

0:18:46 > 0:18:51So, that is an incredible 117 consecutive juggling catches

0:18:51 > 0:18:56with a chainsaw, making the Space Cowboy a cut above the rest

0:18:56 > 0:18:58and officially amazing.

0:18:58 > 0:19:00Now, here is Haruka in Japan.

0:19:09 > 0:19:13I am here in Matsumoto City to see a unique World Record that looks

0:19:13 > 0:19:16just like something straight out of a James Bond film.

0:19:25 > 0:19:29This the GEN-H4, which holds the World Record for the

0:19:29 > 0:19:31smallest manned helicopter.

0:19:36 > 0:19:41It only weighs 70 kilograms, that is about the same size as little Ben.

0:19:41 > 0:19:45It was invented by this man, Gen Yanagisawa, who came up with the idea

0:19:45 > 0:19:47when he was a young boy.

0:19:47 > 0:19:51- TRANSLATION:- I was about five years old.

0:19:51 > 0:19:55I wanted to make my dream of going on a magic carpet ride come true,

0:19:55 > 0:19:57so I made this machine.

0:19:57 > 0:20:01I started the design. It took five years to actually build it.

0:20:01 > 0:20:04So Gen thought of a magic carpet.

0:20:04 > 0:20:07Added rotor blades, added a steering device,

0:20:07 > 0:20:10added a fuel system,

0:20:10 > 0:20:13then got rid of the hopeless old rug he started with.

0:20:15 > 0:20:18And his vision was complete!

0:20:18 > 0:20:21It can fly at about 30 miles an hour and a single tank of fuel will

0:20:21 > 0:20:26keep it in the air for about an hour, slightly less than a magic carpet.

0:20:26 > 0:20:29I have been told that I can even try the helicopter myself,

0:20:29 > 0:20:31although it is a dangerous thing to fly,

0:20:31 > 0:20:34so first, I need a couple of lessons on this amazing flight

0:20:34 > 0:20:37simulator at the helicopter's headquarters.

0:20:39 > 0:20:43Oh, It is tricky! Oh, no! Ah!

0:20:43 > 0:20:46If you do get off the ground, it is sensitive

0:20:46 > 0:20:51- and hard to control, just like Ben Shires.- Oi, I heard that!

0:20:51 > 0:20:57Told you he was sensitive. Anyway, not a bad landing.

0:20:57 > 0:20:59So I am ready for the real thing?

0:20:59 > 0:21:03- A little bit more practice and you will be good.- Very wise.

0:21:05 > 0:21:09Well, here it goes. Safety helmet on.

0:21:09 > 0:21:13Seatbelt clipped.

0:21:13 > 0:21:20Engines started. Time to hit the skies. Just one more check.

0:21:20 > 0:21:25Is the erm, helicopter harnessed to the ground? Yeah, that is right.

0:21:25 > 0:21:28They're not going to let me fly for real after just half an hour

0:21:28 > 0:21:31on a simulator. It is far too precious.

0:21:31 > 0:21:36Even so, I am going to have a little go. Wow!

0:21:38 > 0:21:42Although the guys next to me are kind of higher up than I am,

0:21:42 > 0:21:45I still get the sense of flying this amazing machine.

0:21:46 > 0:21:50It is a lot harder than you think.

0:21:50 > 0:21:53It is so difficult to keep it straight and as soon

0:21:53 > 0:21:57as your feet go off the ground, it is really scary but a lot of fun.

0:21:58 > 0:22:03Of course, if you are qualified, you can take it a bit higher.

0:22:03 > 0:22:07So you think that everybody will be flying these things in the future?

0:22:07 > 0:22:12- TRANSLATION:- Oh, definitely. It could be used to like a scooter.

0:22:12 > 0:22:14I cannot wait to see if these catch on,

0:22:14 > 0:22:18but we are all going to need a lot of practice if they do.

0:22:18 > 0:22:20Now it is over to Ben.

0:22:28 > 0:22:32This is the training ground of Sheffield United in South Yorkshire

0:22:32 > 0:22:35and we are here to try and break a Guinness World Record.

0:22:35 > 0:22:38Take your average 90-minute football match and throw it out

0:22:38 > 0:22:43the window, because this one is going to last for 24 hours.

0:22:43 > 0:22:46It is the record attempt for the most players in a five-a-side

0:22:46 > 0:22:51exhibition match and even better for me, I am going to join in.

0:22:52 > 0:22:56While they practise with the balls, I am going to lay down the rules.

0:22:56 > 0:23:01Two teams, red and blue, must play one another for a 24-hour duration.

0:23:01 > 0:23:05During the game, new players can be substituted onto either team.

0:23:05 > 0:23:08Every player must remain on the pitch for at least ten minutes

0:23:08 > 0:23:13and must touch the ball at least once. Happy with the rules, guys?

0:23:13 > 0:23:16Good. OK. So they are about to kick off and remember,

0:23:16 > 0:23:21they have to play for 24 hours and get more than 441 people to play.

0:23:23 > 0:23:25And they are off. Start the clock.

0:23:27 > 0:23:28Oh! A whizzer.

0:23:34 > 0:23:37That is only the first substitute with just ten minutes gone

0:23:37 > 0:23:41and a whopping 1,430 minutes remaining.

0:23:41 > 0:23:45It can only mean one thing - a lovely sped-up montage.

0:23:46 > 0:23:49I am not on until tomorrow, so I still have got ages to wait

0:23:49 > 0:23:52and I have a feeling those bibs are going to get pretty

0:23:52 > 0:23:55smelly by the end of the record attempt. Urgh!

0:23:55 > 0:24:01- Do you think we are ever going to get a game?- Yaarr!

0:24:01 > 0:24:03The score is getting bigger and bigger.

0:24:03 > 0:24:06My time to shine will come but not until the morning.

0:24:06 > 0:24:08Meanwhile, the play continues all night long.

0:24:17 > 0:24:19The next day arrives

0:24:19 > 0:24:21and it will not be too long before I get on the pitch.

0:24:21 > 0:24:24This is the point where I like to psych out my opponents

0:24:24 > 0:24:27with my infamously terrifying warm-up manoeuvres.

0:24:41 > 0:24:46- Oh, yeah. They look really scared, Ben.- Yeah, thanks, Al(!)

0:24:46 > 0:24:47Oh, what are you wearing?

0:24:47 > 0:24:50This is the same Leeds United kit my grandad

0:24:50 > 0:24:53wore as a professional footballer in the 1950s.

0:24:53 > 0:24:56Remember, it is the most players playing continuously in a

0:24:56 > 0:24:58five-a-side football exhibition match.

0:24:58 > 0:25:01We have been going for about 18 hours and these are the scores.

0:25:01 > 0:25:05The Blues are beating the Reds by 241 to 220, that is

0:25:05 > 0:25:11over 460 goals in 18 hours. That is around 25 goals an hour.

0:25:11 > 0:25:13If only all football was this exciting.

0:25:13 > 0:25:17- I really want to get on the pitch now.- Number seven, Ben Shires.

0:25:17 > 0:25:19Right, looks like I am up. Here we go.

0:25:19 > 0:25:21While I concentrate on playing for the Blue team, it is

0:25:21 > 0:25:24- over to Al to commentate. - Hi, folks,

0:25:24 > 0:25:27- and welcome to this fine game of soccer.- Football, Al!

0:25:27 > 0:25:30- It is called football.- Whatever. OK.

0:25:30 > 0:25:32Let's see some of Ben's finest moves.

0:25:32 > 0:25:35Remember, all he has to do is touch the ball once.

0:25:37 > 0:25:39Well, we have got the Riverdance move.

0:25:39 > 0:25:42I have never seen that outside of a theatre before.

0:25:45 > 0:25:48I did not know that falling over was such an integral part of soccer.

0:25:48 > 0:25:51I mean, nobody even touched you!

0:25:51 > 0:25:58- Do you ever actually get anywhere near the ball?- Yes! There, see that?

0:25:58 > 0:26:03- Wow! That is incredible. You actually touched the soccer ball.- Football!

0:26:03 > 0:26:06I always thought it was about getting the ball in the net

0:26:06 > 0:26:11but, in fact, I now realise it is more about dancing and falling over.

0:26:11 > 0:26:15- Number seven, Ben Shires.- Thanks, Al(!) I will take over from here.

0:26:15 > 0:26:18You get back to your skateboard practice.

0:26:18 > 0:26:21As former Premier League star Robbie Savage joins the party,

0:26:21 > 0:26:25this incredible, gruelling attempt reaches its final stages.

0:26:26 > 0:26:29Have enough players been substituted?

0:26:29 > 0:26:31Have they all made the required contact with the ball?

0:26:31 > 0:26:34Have we broken the record?

0:26:34 > 0:26:36CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

0:26:40 > 0:26:43They think it is all over, it is now.

0:26:43 > 0:26:46All that remains is to see whether we have broken the record.

0:26:46 > 0:26:51Official adjudicator Annabel is checking over her information.

0:26:51 > 0:26:54I am happy to announce that we do actually have a new Guinness

0:26:54 > 0:27:01- World Record.- That is it!- 464 participants over the last 24 hours.

0:27:01 > 0:27:0624 hours later, it has all been worth it. It is a new World Record.

0:27:06 > 0:27:11That is officially amazing. What an epic way to end proceedings!

0:27:16 > 0:27:21# Well, Ben had a go with the five- a-side and he was really, really bad
