0:10:33 > 0:10:36We were the best of friends, you know.
0:10:36 > 0:10:39Let me tell you about what we used to get up to.
0:10:39 > 0:10:42I'll just get comfortable. There we are.
0:10:44 > 0:10:49Once upon a twinkly time many, many years ago, I wasn't called
0:10:49 > 0:10:51Old Jack, I wasn't called Young Jack,
0:10:51 > 0:10:55everyone called me Little Jack.
0:10:55 > 0:10:59Do you know, when I was a lad, Staithes was a very different place.
0:10:59 > 0:11:03There were no televisions, no computers, no mobile phones.
0:11:05 > 0:11:09Every day I would go out and play with Sailor Sue...
0:11:09 > 0:11:13- Where's Ernie? - ..and Ernie's grandad, Little Ernie.
0:11:13 > 0:11:15- Ay-up.- Hello, Ernie.
0:11:15 > 0:11:17- Let's go to the beach. - JACK CHUCKLES
0:11:17 > 0:11:21It was me and Sue and Little Ernie.
0:11:21 > 0:11:25You couldn't keep us apart, we were the best of friends.
0:11:25 > 0:11:28Sailor Sue always had lots of ideas for games
0:11:28 > 0:11:32and Little Ernie was always in trouble for getting wet
0:11:32 > 0:11:33in the rock pools.
0:11:33 > 0:11:37He always was a bit clumsy, was Little Ernie.
0:11:37 > 0:11:40You know, Little Ernie, he loved going fishing
0:11:40 > 0:11:44and then telling us what he'd caught but on this particular day
0:11:44 > 0:11:48he was more excited than ever.
0:11:48 > 0:11:53Sailor Sue said, "Look, a twinkle!"
0:11:53 > 0:11:57Ernie was holding a twinkling silvery chain.
0:11:57 > 0:12:01We took a closer look, it was a beautiful locket.
0:12:02 > 0:12:06"It must've been washed up on the beach", I said.
0:12:06 > 0:12:08"Have you found my locket?"
0:12:08 > 0:12:14We all looked at the distant, silvery water and we saw a mermaid.
0:12:15 > 0:12:18Yes, Pearl the mermaid.
0:12:18 > 0:12:22And she looked exactly the same then as she does now
0:12:22 > 0:12:24because mermaids never get any older.
0:12:26 > 0:12:30"That locket is a magic locket, it will grant you one wish",
0:12:30 > 0:12:32said Pearl.
0:12:32 > 0:12:37"Choose wisely and then we can play together for ever."
0:12:39 > 0:12:43And, with that, she disappeared under the waves.
0:12:43 > 0:12:47Oh, well, we'd never been given a wish before
0:12:47 > 0:12:52and Little Ernie's eyes were like saucers as he stared at the locket.
0:12:52 > 0:12:56"Oh, I'd like to be a pirate", he announced,
0:12:56 > 0:13:01"with a golden castle on my boat and a year's supply of cream buns
0:13:01 > 0:13:03"in the hold."
0:13:03 > 0:13:07Well, I'd always dreamt of having a boat of my own, so I knew
0:13:07 > 0:13:12that that would be my wish and then we both looked at Sailor Sue.
0:13:13 > 0:13:16"What would you wish for?" I asked.
0:13:17 > 0:13:23Sailor Sue thought for a moment and then she said, "I'd like to be happy
0:13:23 > 0:13:26"for ever and ever."
0:13:26 > 0:13:30"What sort of a wish is that?" laughed Little Ernie.
0:13:30 > 0:13:32"I think my wish is the best.
0:13:32 > 0:13:36"See if you can catch the baddest pirate on the seven seas."
0:13:36 > 0:13:40And, with that, he dashed off across the beach, up the steps,
0:13:40 > 0:13:43- down the street, well... - Catch me if you can!
0:13:43 > 0:13:48..we chased after him and eventually we found him down by the harbour,
0:13:48 > 0:13:53high up on a wall, right where the fishermen keep their lobster pots.
0:13:53 > 0:13:58"I'm the captain of the Jolly Lobster," he shouted.
0:13:58 > 0:14:01Well, you know how I told you how clumsy he was?
0:14:01 > 0:14:08Well, he was so busy playing pirates and... Crash!
0:14:08 > 0:14:13He made all the lobster pots tumble to the ground. Oh, what a mess.
0:14:13 > 0:14:15There were lobster pots everywhere.
0:14:15 > 0:14:18It was going to take hours to set them all back up again
0:14:18 > 0:14:24and to make matters worse, we could see the fisherman coming towards us.
0:14:24 > 0:14:28Little Ernie's face went as white as a sail.
0:14:28 > 0:14:32"Oh, what are we going to do?" he said.
0:14:32 > 0:14:36"I wish these lobster pots would tidy themselves up."
0:14:36 > 0:14:43Well, at that, the locket in his hand twinkled a magical twinkle
0:14:43 > 0:14:47and Little Ernie's wish came true.
0:14:47 > 0:14:51Suddenly all the lobster pots jumped up in the air and piled themselves
0:14:51 > 0:14:56up neatly on the harbour-side, just as the fisherman walked by.
0:14:57 > 0:15:02He waved to us but we were too shocked to wave back.
0:15:02 > 0:15:06"Oh, no, what have I done?" said Little Ernie.
0:15:06 > 0:15:09"I always mess things up.
0:15:09 > 0:15:13"That was our only wish and now it's gone for ever."
0:15:13 > 0:15:17Little Ernie was ever so cross with himself.
0:15:17 > 0:15:21He said to us, "You'd be better off without me."
0:15:21 > 0:15:24And, with that, he trudged off to the beach
0:15:24 > 0:15:27to sit down all by himself.
0:15:27 > 0:15:30Well, we were a bit annoyed with Ernie at the time but...
0:15:30 > 0:15:34when we'd had a think about it we knew that Ernie hadn't meant
0:15:34 > 0:15:40to mess things up, so Sailor Sue and I went over to join him.
0:15:40 > 0:15:45"Cheer up", I said and Little Ernie looked at me.
0:15:45 > 0:15:49"But now you'll never have a boat", he said sadly.
0:15:49 > 0:15:51I said to him,
0:15:51 > 0:15:55"Ernie, thanks to you fishing out that locket,
0:15:55 > 0:16:02"we have met a mermaid." And Little Ernie looked at us and said,
0:16:02 > 0:16:09"So, do you forgive me?" "Of course we do", I laughed, "that's what
0:16:09 > 0:16:12"friends do and we're the best of friends, aren't we?"
0:16:12 > 0:16:14Of course we were.
0:16:15 > 0:16:18So then Little Ernie jumped up and said,
0:16:18 > 0:16:22"In that case, I'm still the baddest pirate on the seven seas
0:16:22 > 0:16:27"and you still have to catch me." And, with that, we dashed off
0:16:27 > 0:16:32across the beach laughing and tumbling the way we always did.
0:16:32 > 0:16:35Then, do you know what?
0:16:35 > 0:16:41When I was old enough, I did have a boat of my own, my lovely Rainbow.
0:16:41 > 0:16:46And every day Sailor Sue and I would set out to sea to have fun
0:16:46 > 0:16:53and adventures with our beautiful new mermaid friend, Pearl.
0:16:55 > 0:17:00- Oh, got yourself some tea, then? - Yeah. Can I get you a fresh cup?
0:17:00 > 0:17:03Oh, I thought you'd never ask.
0:17:04 > 0:17:10- What's that, Jack?- What? You've seen that before, haven't you?
0:17:10 > 0:17:13Well, when Sailor Sue and I got married,
0:17:13 > 0:17:18your grandad put a picture of my Sue inside it. He was very kind.
0:17:18 > 0:17:21A bit like you, actually, Ernie.
0:17:21 > 0:17:26You know, I'm sure you didn't mean to spoil that tea festival
0:17:26 > 0:17:29and I'm quite sure your friends will forgive you.
0:17:29 > 0:17:34I don't think so. They probably don't even realise I've gone.
0:17:35 > 0:17:41Well, I've been busy-busy but no-one in the village has any more tea.
0:17:41 > 0:17:45- It's a disaster. - I've made some more teacakes.
0:17:45 > 0:17:46But we're still out of tea.
0:17:46 > 0:17:49We can't have a tea festival without any tea.
0:17:49 > 0:17:51There must be something we can do.
0:17:51 > 0:17:57I need someone with a van to go back to Whitby and stock up on supplies.
0:17:57 > 0:18:01- The only one with a van is Ernie. - And where is he?
0:18:01 > 0:18:03That's what I'd like to know.
0:18:06 > 0:18:11- Oh, to get this onto the harbour front we need...- A miracle?
0:18:11 > 0:18:16- No, we need...- A large crane with a motorised-pulley system?
0:18:16 > 0:18:22- Ernie. We need Ernie.- He's usually the first to lend a hand.
0:18:22 > 0:18:24- I know.- Where is he?
0:18:27 > 0:18:30- How's that tea coming along, Ernie? - CLANK!
0:18:30 > 0:18:35Almost there, Jack. Hey, you've got a right pile of the stuff back here.
0:18:35 > 0:18:38Well, you seem to have cheered up a bit.
0:18:38 > 0:18:42Well, I like to keep myself busy. I've always got a job on the go, me.
0:18:42 > 0:18:46I'm sure your friends have got plenty of jobs for you right now.
0:18:46 > 0:18:50Oh, they don't need someone like me around. No, I've made up my mind.
0:18:50 > 0:18:54As soon as I've figured out how to open that hatch, I'm off.
0:18:54 > 0:18:58- Aren't you forgetting something? - What?- My cup of tea.- I'm on it.
0:18:58 > 0:19:02- Yes, and I'll have a bit of toast, as well, yeah?- Right.
0:19:02 > 0:19:07- Thank you, and a biscuit for Salty. - OK.- Yes, and get one for yourself.
0:19:07 > 0:19:08She won't mind.
0:19:10 > 0:19:11Oh, poor Ernie.
0:19:11 > 0:19:16He thinks he's stuck in here for good, doesn't he, Salty?
0:19:16 > 0:19:20Just like Bluey did when we went to Coconut Island.
0:19:20 > 0:19:26Once upon a twinkly time, the Rainbow set sail from Staithes,
0:19:26 > 0:19:31waved goodbye to Whitby and disappeared over the horizon.
0:19:31 > 0:19:35Salty and I were off on a day trip to Coconut Island
0:19:35 > 0:19:41and we were feeling very happy about it, so we sang a little song.
0:19:41 > 0:19:43# Just Salty Dog and me
0:19:43 > 0:19:46# Upon the briny sea
0:19:46 > 0:19:48# We want to eat coconuts in the sun
0:19:48 > 0:19:51# So, Coconut Island, here we come
0:19:51 > 0:19:55# It's rainy in Staithes so we're off on the waves
0:19:55 > 0:19:58# Just Salty Dog and me. #
0:19:58 > 0:19:59JACK LAUGHS
0:19:59 > 0:20:03Well, the sun came out to meet us as we set our course.
0:20:03 > 0:20:08Oh, it was wonderful to feel the cool sea spray in our whiskers
0:20:08 > 0:20:13and to watch the flying fish make their rainbow arcs off the bow.
0:20:13 > 0:20:17Salty, my girl, there is nothing quite like the smell of the sea.
0:20:19 > 0:20:21HE SNIFFS
0:20:21 > 0:20:24It smells...of adventure.
0:20:24 > 0:20:29We sailed along happily for a while, bobbity-bobbity.
0:20:29 > 0:20:33And after some time, our good friend Brenda the stork passed by.
0:20:33 > 0:20:37"Urgent delivery," she called from high up in the sky,
0:20:37 > 0:20:40"I'm afraid I can't stop but it looks to me
0:20:40 > 0:20:43"like you may be sinking."
0:20:43 > 0:20:46"Sinking?" I said, peering overboard.
0:20:46 > 0:20:49And, oh, deary-dear, it was true.
0:20:49 > 0:20:53The waves were far too close to the deck of the boat.
0:20:53 > 0:20:57Well, Salty scampered off at top speed to check
0:20:57 > 0:20:59the Rainbow for holes.
0:20:59 > 0:21:03She scooted around, she was sniffling and snuffling
0:21:03 > 0:21:06but there were no holes to be found. "Well, Salty," I said,
0:21:06 > 0:21:11"we'd better return to the harbour a bit sharpish. We'll have to visit
0:21:11 > 0:21:13"Coconut Island another day."
0:21:13 > 0:21:18Well, poor Salty, she was ever so disappointed.
0:21:18 > 0:21:22"Prepare to bring her about," I called.
0:21:22 > 0:21:25And we were just going to turn the Rainbow around when
0:21:25 > 0:21:30Mr and Mrs Cod appeared with the little Cod twins just behind.
0:21:30 > 0:21:35"Er, Salty, er, Jack, you seem to be sinking," Mrs Cod called out,
0:21:35 > 0:21:40"and we know why, don't we, Harold?" "Yes, dear," said Mr Cod.
0:21:40 > 0:21:45But before Mr Cod could explain, one of the Cod twins interrupted.
0:21:45 > 0:21:48"There's something wrong with the Rainbow's bottom,"
0:21:48 > 0:21:51she said and she burst into fits of giggles.
0:21:51 > 0:21:54"It's true," said Mrs Cod seriously,
0:21:54 > 0:21:59"you've got stowaways, Jack and Salty, lots of them."
0:21:59 > 0:22:04Now, in case you don't know what a stowaway is, I'll tell you.
0:22:04 > 0:22:08A stowaway is someone who is sneakedy-sneaking a cheeky
0:22:08 > 0:22:12ride on board your ship without asking.
0:22:13 > 0:22:17"Stowaways?" I said flabbergasted, "Where?"
0:22:17 > 0:22:21"Come with us under the waves and we'll show you," said Mrs Cod.
0:22:21 > 0:22:25"Right you are," I replied and before you could say
0:22:25 > 0:22:30"slippery sand eels" we were all under the waves. Deep down we went.
0:22:30 > 0:22:36Mr and Mrs Cod led the way and what a sight we saw, for there
0:22:36 > 0:22:42on the bottom of our beloved boat, were billions of bumpy barnacles.
0:22:43 > 0:22:45"Oh, no wonder the Rainbow's sinking,"
0:22:45 > 0:22:49I groaned, "it's got a barnacley bottom."
0:22:49 > 0:22:51"Hello," chimed the barnacles happily,
0:22:51 > 0:22:54"we are going on an adventure to Coconut Island,
0:22:54 > 0:23:00"it's br-br-brilliant," said one, "I'm so excited," said another.
0:23:00 > 0:23:04"We never go anywhere." "Well, I'm sorry to disappoint you,"
0:23:04 > 0:23:08I said, "but you can't stay on the bottom of our boat.
0:23:08 > 0:23:14"There are far too many of you and you're making it sink." You see,
0:23:14 > 0:23:19one bumpy barnacle is light enough but billions of bumpy barnacles
0:23:19 > 0:23:21together are really rather heavy.
0:23:21 > 0:23:27I'm afraid you are going to have to get off. Right, Salty?
0:23:27 > 0:23:31"We want to get off, we really do," chimed the others,
0:23:31 > 0:23:35"but we need something really huge to stick to."
0:23:37 > 0:23:43Well, just then a huge shadow came looming towards us.
0:23:43 > 0:23:46It was Bluey the blue whale.
0:23:46 > 0:23:51"Hello, everyone," he boomed, "what are you up to?"
0:23:51 > 0:23:54"We are having a bit of bother, Bluey," I said.
0:23:54 > 0:23:58"You see, we're on our way to Coconut Island but these barnacles
0:23:58 > 0:24:01"are stuck to the bottom of the Rainbow
0:24:01 > 0:24:03"and they're making us sink.
0:24:03 > 0:24:07"They need something really huge to stick to."
0:24:07 > 0:24:10"I'm huge," said Bluey,
0:24:10 > 0:24:14"you can stick to me if you like," he told the barnacles kindly.
0:24:14 > 0:24:19"And I will take you to see Coconut Island."
0:24:19 > 0:24:23"Hurray," chimed the barnacles, "that sounds like fun.
0:24:23 > 0:24:27"We don't want to stick to a sinking ship." So...
0:24:27 > 0:24:30HE MAKES A POPPING SOUND
0:24:30 > 0:24:35The barnacles magically unstuck themselves from the bottom
0:24:35 > 0:24:37of the Rainbow and they stuck themselves
0:24:37 > 0:24:41all around Bluey's big blue head.
0:24:41 > 0:24:46He looked like he had a very bumpy hairdo.
0:24:46 > 0:24:50And because Bluey is such an enormous creature
0:24:50 > 0:24:54and so strong too, the billions of bumpy barnacles
0:24:54 > 0:24:56didn't make him sink.
0:24:56 > 0:24:57"Ha-ha!
0:24:57 > 0:25:03"Coconut Island, here we come," I called, "Meet you at the cove.
0:25:03 > 0:25:05"Good old Bluey."
0:25:05 > 0:25:08- And we all set off. - BOAT WHISTLE BLOWS
0:25:11 > 0:25:15Now, the entrance to the cove on Coconut Island was rather
0:25:15 > 0:25:19narrow and Bluey the whale was rather wide, especially with
0:25:19 > 0:25:26all those barnacles on his head and, as he swam in, he got stuck.
0:25:26 > 0:25:30"Uh-oh," he bellowed, trying to wriggle his way through,
0:25:30 > 0:25:34"I'm stuck, I can't move."
0:25:34 > 0:25:36Tell the barnacles to unstick themselves
0:25:36 > 0:25:40and move to the rocks and then you'll fit through,"
0:25:40 > 0:25:44I called to Bluey. But the barnacles, they wouldn't budge.
0:25:44 > 0:25:45They were stuck too.
0:25:46 > 0:25:48"We're in a sticky fix,"
0:25:48 > 0:25:52they cried, "we can't unstick, we've tried and tried."
0:25:52 > 0:25:56"Help!" cried Bluey, "I'm in trouble."
0:25:56 > 0:25:59All Bluey's friends heard him calling and they appeared
0:25:59 > 0:26:03from under the waves, across the land and over the rainbow.
0:26:03 > 0:26:06George the sawfish got to Bluey first.
0:26:06 > 0:26:10"I'll try to cut through the rocks," he said.
0:26:10 > 0:26:15And, oh, dear, rocks are very hard and he blunted his saw.
0:26:15 > 0:26:20"Ouch!" And then Charlie the squid wrapped his tentacles
0:26:20 > 0:26:24around Bluey's head and tried his best to pull him out.
0:26:24 > 0:26:27But Bluey, he wouldn't budge.
0:26:27 > 0:26:30"Let me try," cried Fred, Charlie's brother,
0:26:30 > 0:26:33wrapping his tentacles around Bluey's tail.
0:26:33 > 0:26:39"Perhaps I could push him through." But Bluey still wouldn't budge.
0:26:40 > 0:26:44You have never seen so much pulling and pushing
0:26:44 > 0:26:46and sawing and flapping.
0:26:46 > 0:26:48"Emergency, emergency!"
0:26:48 > 0:26:53Called Thelma the dragon, urgently beating her leathery wings.
0:26:53 > 0:26:57"Bluey's not moving, what are we going to do?"
0:26:57 > 0:27:01No-one really knew how to help, it was chaos.
0:27:03 > 0:27:07And then suddenly, Salty's whiskers whiffled.
0:27:07 > 0:27:10She was having one of her bright ideas.
0:27:10 > 0:27:14She scampered around the deck and fetched all the ropes.
0:27:14 > 0:27:15"All right, everyone,"
0:27:15 > 0:27:21I cried, "Salty wants us all to pull together. Let's see what we can do."
0:27:21 > 0:27:25Urgently I started tying all the ropes together,
0:27:25 > 0:27:30then Thelma the dragon picked up one end of the rope to pass it to
0:27:30 > 0:27:33Donny the dolphin who dived under the sea
0:27:33 > 0:27:35and hooked it onto Bluey's tail.
0:27:35 > 0:27:41"Now, everybody grab on to the rope and we'll pull together," I called.
0:27:41 > 0:27:46And before you knew it, everybody was pulling at the rope.
0:27:46 > 0:27:50Heave-ho! And don't let go.
0:27:50 > 0:27:52Heave! Heave!
0:27:53 > 0:27:58And the rope made a sort of a creaking sound.
0:27:58 > 0:28:00HE MAKES A CREAKING SOUND
0:28:00 > 0:28:05And little beads of sweat trickled down our faces.
0:28:05 > 0:28:11Heave! "I think I'm moving," cried Bluey.
0:28:11 > 0:28:13It was true.
0:28:13 > 0:28:19Slowly, slowly, Bluey was starting to move towards us.
0:28:19 > 0:28:23We need one final heave. Ready? Heave!
0:28:23 > 0:28:26And as we pulled him out, the barnacles,
0:28:26 > 0:28:28they came unstuck from Bluey's head
0:28:28 > 0:28:33and they somersaulted through the air and landed on the rocks.
0:28:33 > 0:28:38"Hurray," they cried, "we've come unstuck, now Bluey's free.
0:28:38 > 0:28:42"Ha-ha!" Oh, it was true!
0:28:43 > 0:28:48Bluey was swimming happily in the cove and it wasn't long
0:28:48 > 0:28:54before he was spraying us with a huge fountain from his blowhole.
0:28:54 > 0:29:00"Thank you, everybody," he boomed, "you were there when I needed you.
0:29:00 > 0:29:04"Thank you for pulling together." "That's what friends do,"
0:29:04 > 0:29:08I said with a smile that was almost as big as a blue whale.
0:29:09 > 0:29:14What an adventure we had that day on Coconut Island.
0:29:14 > 0:29:19And the barnacles liked it too. They found a perfect home on the rocks.
0:29:19 > 0:29:24"We are happy here, it's lovely weather, we're not leaving,
0:29:24 > 0:29:29"never ever," they chimed. And do you know what?
0:29:29 > 0:29:31They are still there to this day.
0:29:34 > 0:29:40- Ah! Ha-ha, here we go. - Oh, thank you. Oh, yes, go on.
0:29:41 > 0:29:46I'm going to miss your tea and toast when you're gone, Ernie.
0:29:46 > 0:29:48Don't you go trying to change my mind, Jack.
0:29:48 > 0:29:50And then there's all your friends,
0:29:50 > 0:29:55they're going to miss the way that you get everybody to pull together.
0:29:55 > 0:29:59Yeah. Who's going to get everybody together to pull Emily's stall
0:29:59 > 0:30:01off the beach when I leave?
0:30:02 > 0:30:06Hang about, who IS going to pull Emily's stall off the beach?
0:30:06 > 0:30:09- And who's going to get the rope? - What do you mean?
0:30:09 > 0:30:12It's in your workshop.
0:30:12 > 0:30:16- And I've got the key here.- Yeah.
0:30:16 > 0:30:19I might have messed up but it's up to me to sort everybody out.
0:30:19 > 0:30:23- That's right. - I'm going to go back there right now
0:30:23 > 0:30:25and nothing's going to get in my way.
0:30:25 > 0:30:29- Right, don't forget the hatch.- Ah.
0:30:29 > 0:30:31But I've got to get back to the beach.
0:30:33 > 0:30:38In which case, there is another way to get out. Now...
0:30:38 > 0:30:40HE WHISTLES
0:30:40 > 0:30:43Have you seen the size of me? I'll never get through that.
0:30:43 > 0:30:46No, no, you wouldn't, would you?
0:30:47 > 0:30:51But we know somebody who would, don't we, hm?
0:30:56 > 0:30:58Good girl.
0:31:03 > 0:31:05Fly like the wind, Salty.
0:31:13 > 0:31:16Hello, Salty. Hello, hello. Oh!
0:31:23 > 0:31:26Oh!
0:31:28 > 0:31:30SALTY BARKS
0:31:37 > 0:31:39BICYCLE BELL RINGS
0:31:44 > 0:31:48- Salty must've got lost. - What are you talking about?
0:31:48 > 0:31:50She's the best dog in the world.
0:31:50 > 0:31:53SALTY BARKS
0:31:53 > 0:31:55KNOCKING They're here!
0:31:58 > 0:32:04- What did I tell you? Clever Salty. - Jack?- Ahoy there, Sam.
0:32:04 > 0:32:07Can you get the hatch open? It's jammed.
0:32:11 > 0:32:16It's a job for Ernie. But, Jack, Ernie's vanished.
0:32:16 > 0:32:21No, I haven't, I'm here. ALL: Ernie!
0:32:21 > 0:32:23So that's where he's been hiding.
0:32:23 > 0:32:28Busy-busy, give it a push. Before the tide comes in - pull.
0:32:28 > 0:32:33- What do we do, Ernie? - Just give it a pull.
0:32:33 > 0:32:38- Oh, and don't forget - pull together. - That's the way, Ernie.
0:32:38 > 0:32:42- On my count, one, two... - Three.- Three!
0:32:42 > 0:32:44ALL: Three!
0:32:47 > 0:32:49THEY LAUGH
0:32:51 > 0:32:54- Hello, Ernie.- Hello, everybody.
0:32:54 > 0:32:57Ernie, I'd thought you'd left us.
0:32:57 > 0:32:59Me? Leave Staithes? Never.
0:32:59 > 0:33:03Thank goodness for that because we need you.
0:33:03 > 0:33:07Ernie, love, before the tide comes in, can you help me
0:33:07 > 0:33:11- get me stall off the beach? - Then we can have our tea festival.
0:33:11 > 0:33:15- But we still don't have any tea. - Oh, hang on, Miss Bowline-Hitch.
0:33:16 > 0:33:22- I've had an idea.- Go on.- We can sort this out. Well, YOU can.- Me?
0:33:22 > 0:33:25Yes. Back there, you've got loads of tea.
0:33:25 > 0:33:29- Yes, I have, boxes of the stuff. - Come on, Ernie.
0:33:29 > 0:33:34All right then, listen. You sort out the stall and I'll get the tea.
0:33:36 > 0:33:38Ernie!
0:33:40 > 0:33:43That's a funny thing about Ernie,
0:33:43 > 0:33:48whenever he's not around, you miss him.
0:33:48 > 0:33:50Good girl, you stay there.
0:33:56 > 0:33:59# Friends we are and friends we'll be
0:33:59 > 0:34:01# Nevermore to roam so
0:34:01 > 0:34:03# Sing out loud and sing out proud
0:34:03 > 0:34:06# We love a happy home
0:34:06 > 0:34:10# Bits and bobs of Emily's stall are lying in the sand
0:34:10 > 0:34:13# We'll pick them up and start again
0:34:13 > 0:34:14# So come on, lend a hand
0:34:14 > 0:34:18# Oh, friends we are and friends we'll be
0:34:18 > 0:34:20# Nevermore to roam so
0:34:20 > 0:34:22# Sing out loud and sing out proud
0:34:22 > 0:34:25# We love a happy home
0:34:25 > 0:34:28# Busy-busy, if we work as busily as we can
0:34:28 > 0:34:31# And then we'll have a cup of tea
0:34:31 > 0:34:33# Now, that sounds like a plan
0:34:33 > 0:34:37# Oh, friends we are and friends we'll be
0:34:37 > 0:34:39# Nevermore to roam so
0:34:39 > 0:34:41# Sing out loud and sing out proud
0:34:41 > 0:34:44# We love a happy home
0:34:49 > 0:34:51# The festival's a terrible mess
0:34:51 > 0:34:54# There's so much here to do
0:34:54 > 0:34:59# But clearing up is lots more fun
0:34:59 > 0:35:01# With a magical twinkle or two
0:35:01 > 0:35:04# Oh, friends we are and friends we'll be
0:35:04 > 0:35:07# Nevermore to roam so
0:35:07 > 0:35:09# Sing out loud and sing out proud
0:35:11 > 0:35:13# We love a happy home. #
0:35:14 > 0:35:15THEY LAUGH
0:35:18 > 0:35:23Look, Ernie, it turned out all right in the end, didn't it?
0:35:23 > 0:35:28I know, to think I could have left all of... Sorry!
0:35:28 > 0:35:30Don't worry, you're among friends.
0:35:30 > 0:35:33Now, then, ladies and gentlemen, yes...
0:35:33 > 0:35:38Oh, and dogs, of course. Friends we are and friends we'll be.
0:35:38 > 0:35:43Oh, and that means you too, so you come and see us again soon,
0:35:43 > 0:35:44all right?
0:35:44 > 0:35:48# Oh, friends we are and friends we'll be
0:35:48 > 0:35:50# Nevermore to roam so
0:35:50 > 0:35:54# Sing out loud and sing out proud
0:35:54 > 0:35:56# We love a happy home. #
