0:02:49 > 0:02:54- Sorry, sorry.- Don't worry, it was an accident.

0:02:56 > 0:03:01Oh, no, I'd put that back if I were you, captain.

0:04:01 > 0:04:06There you go, Salty. In your basket. You sit there. Good girl.

0:04:06 > 0:04:11It's a shame about that ice cream cake, isn't it?

0:04:12 > 0:04:14But these accidents do happen.

0:04:14 > 0:04:20Can you remember when a big pal of ours kept causing accidents?

0:04:20 > 0:04:22I'll tell you all about it.

0:04:22 > 0:04:27Hold on tight, Salty, this is a bumpy ride, this is.

0:04:27 > 0:04:30Once upon a time a twinkly time,

0:04:30 > 0:04:34the Rainbow set off from Staithes, waved goodbye to Whitby

0:04:34 > 0:04:37and disappeared over the horizon.

0:04:37 > 0:04:38We were very excited

0:04:38 > 0:04:43because today was the day of the underwater funfair.

0:04:43 > 0:04:45# Just Salty Dog and me

0:04:45 > 0:04:48# Upon the briny sea

0:04:48 > 0:04:51# Sailing along in the hot sunny sun

0:04:51 > 0:04:53# We're off to the fair to have us some fun

0:04:53 > 0:04:57# We've both been invited We're very excited

0:04:57 > 0:04:59# Salty Dog and me. #

0:05:01 > 0:05:07And just then, I heard an enormous "Hello!"

0:05:07 > 0:05:12It was our lovely friend Bluey the blue whale.

0:05:12 > 0:05:14"Hello, Bluey!" I called out to him.

0:05:14 > 0:05:19"Are you on your way to the underwater fair?"

0:05:19 > 0:05:21"I am!" he laughed.

0:05:21 > 0:05:25He was very excited. Here's a thing you might not know.

0:05:25 > 0:05:29When dogs get excited, they wag their tails.

0:05:29 > 0:05:31Don't they, Salty?

0:05:31 > 0:05:36When whales get excited, they wag their tails too.

0:05:36 > 0:05:41Bluey was so excited about going to the fair that he wagged his tail

0:05:41 > 0:05:46and sploosh! A great wave of water splashed over us.

0:05:46 > 0:05:49"Careful!" I laughed.

0:05:49 > 0:05:53"Sorry!" said Bluey.

0:05:53 > 0:05:57And so the three of us set off for the underwater fair.

0:05:57 > 0:06:02The underwater fair owner was a very important-looking fish

0:06:02 > 0:06:04called Wally.

0:06:04 > 0:06:08He had a big moustache and a clipboard and a silver pen.

0:06:08 > 0:06:11"Roll up, roll up!" he cried.

0:06:11 > 0:06:17"All the fun of the underwater fair! Enjoy the rides!"

0:06:18 > 0:06:23"What shall we go on first?" said Bluey, wagging his great tail.

0:06:23 > 0:06:28Unfortunately, he wagged Wally up in the air.

0:06:28 > 0:06:32"Do you mind?" said Wally a little crossly when he came back down.

0:06:32 > 0:06:36He straightened his moustache and he swam off.

0:06:36 > 0:06:40"Why don't you try the seaweed helter-skelter?" I said to Bluey.

0:06:40 > 0:06:45"Oh, yes," said Bluey, and he raced off.

0:06:45 > 0:06:50At the top sat Mrs Cod ready to slide down.

0:06:50 > 0:06:52"Watch me, Harold!" she called.

0:06:52 > 0:06:56"Yes, dear," called Mr Cod from down below.

0:06:56 > 0:07:00But as he did so, Bluey arrived, excited, wagging has great tail.

0:07:00 > 0:07:03Boing!

0:07:03 > 0:07:05It hit the helter-skelter.

0:07:05 > 0:07:12"Aargh!" cried Mrs Cod as she flew off in a trail of bubbles.

0:07:12 > 0:07:15The helter-skelter, it wobbled madly from side to side.

0:07:15 > 0:07:19Mr Cod dashed over to help a rather dazed Mrs Cod

0:07:19 > 0:07:20as she floated down.

0:07:20 > 0:07:23"Never mind, Bluey!" I said.

0:07:23 > 0:07:28"It was only an accident, it could happen to anybody."

0:07:28 > 0:07:31Wally the fair owner whizzed over in a flash

0:07:31 > 0:07:33waving his silver pen.

0:07:33 > 0:07:37"You just be careful, young fella-me-lad," he snapped at Bluey,

0:07:37 > 0:07:41"or I'm throwing you out, accident or no accident."

0:07:41 > 0:07:46"Sorry!" said Bluey, as his lips started to wobble.

0:07:46 > 0:07:51"Come on, Bluey," I said. "Let's go for a ride on the bumper cars."

0:07:51 > 0:07:55The barnacle bumper cars were very busy, full of Bluey's friends.

0:07:55 > 0:07:58Bluey was so thrilled to see everybody

0:07:58 > 0:08:00that his tail started to wag again.

0:08:00 > 0:08:04"Whoa, steady on, Bluey!" I said.

0:08:04 > 0:08:07"Don't get too excited!" Too late!

0:08:07 > 0:08:11Bluey's waggy tail hit one of the bumper cars - bump! -

0:08:11 > 0:08:14which hit another and another and another

0:08:14 > 0:08:19until they all ended up in one big bumpy pile.

0:08:19 > 0:08:21"Uh-oh!" said Bluey.

0:08:21 > 0:08:27Wally whizzed in, his prickly moustache practically fizzing.

0:08:27 > 0:08:30"Not you again!" he snapped at Bluey.

0:08:32 > 0:08:36"Sorry!" said Bluey, as his lips started to wibble.

0:08:36 > 0:08:39"It was only an accident."

0:08:39 > 0:08:42"There's no such thing as an accident," said Wally.

0:08:42 > 0:08:46"This is your very last warning. Any more trouble from you

0:08:46 > 0:08:48"and you will have to leave the fair."

0:08:48 > 0:08:52"Let's try the big wheel of whelks," I said.

0:08:52 > 0:08:55We made our way over to the mighty wheel.

0:08:55 > 0:08:59Salty thought it was very exciting.

0:08:59 > 0:09:02Unfortunately, so did Bluey.

0:09:02 > 0:09:09Once again his tail started to wag and as it did so - crash! -

0:09:09 > 0:09:12it hit the wheel of whelks and the whole thing

0:09:12 > 0:09:16jumped out of its axle and began to roll away.

0:09:16 > 0:09:22The fish who were riding on it were sent pinging off in all directions

0:09:22 > 0:09:25and they all thought it was wonderfully funny!

0:09:25 > 0:09:31Wally the fairground owner bustled over, shaking his silver pen,

0:09:31 > 0:09:34and gave Bluey his sternest look.

0:09:34 > 0:09:38"That's it!" he said. "You must leave this park."

0:09:38 > 0:09:40"It was only an accident," I said.

0:09:40 > 0:09:44"There's no such thing as accidents," said Wally crossly.

0:09:44 > 0:09:50He shot off, leaving a trail of angry bubbles.

0:09:50 > 0:09:53But as he shot off, he was so fast he didn't look

0:09:53 > 0:09:57where he was going and he bumped straight into the coconut shy.

0:09:57 > 0:10:00His silver pen went flying through the water

0:10:00 > 0:10:04and landed on the bouncy castle.

0:10:04 > 0:10:06Bang!

0:10:06 > 0:10:10The sharp end punctured the bouncy castle

0:10:10 > 0:10:15and with a huge hiss, it started to go flat.

0:10:15 > 0:10:18All the fish that were playing on it were left

0:10:18 > 0:10:22hovering in the water with nothing to bounce on.

0:10:22 > 0:10:25"It was only an accident!" cried Wally.

0:10:25 > 0:10:28"I thought you said there was no such thing as an accident,"

0:10:28 > 0:10:32I replied. That's when Salty's whiskers started to whiffle.

0:10:32 > 0:10:36She was having one of her bright ideas.

0:10:36 > 0:10:41"Who needs a bouncy castle when we have a bouncy Bluey?" she barked.

0:10:41 > 0:10:43Bluey looked at her in surprise.

0:10:43 > 0:10:48Of course! Bluey would make a wonderful bouncy castle.

0:10:48 > 0:10:50"That sounds exciting!" laughed Bluey.

0:10:50 > 0:10:54His tail began to wag.

0:10:54 > 0:10:56"Roll up, roll up!" I announced.

0:10:56 > 0:11:00"See if you can ride the waggiest tail in the ocean."

0:11:00 > 0:11:06And then hordes of happy fish jumped on board

0:11:06 > 0:11:09and Bluey bounced them and wagged them

0:11:09 > 0:11:13and as he got more excited, he got waggier and waggier.

0:11:13 > 0:11:18It was the best ride the underwater fair had ever seen.

0:11:18 > 0:11:22Wally swam over and he said to me,

0:11:22 > 0:11:27"You know, there is such a thing as an accident after all.

0:11:27 > 0:11:31"And that was a very happy accident!"

0:11:31 > 0:11:34He asked if Bluey could come to the fair every year.

0:11:34 > 0:11:36"Yeah!"

0:11:36 > 0:11:38As we waved him goodbye,

0:11:38 > 0:11:45Bluey beamed a great big Bluey smile that didn't go away until bedtime.

0:11:45 > 0:11:50And we returned to the Rainbow hot and happy

0:11:50 > 0:11:55and sailed all the way back to Staithes and home.

0:11:55 > 0:12:00We had such a good time at that fairground. Great fun.

0:12:07 > 0:12:11Did you like that story, Salty? All true, of course.

0:12:11 > 0:12:15Mind you, my stories always are!

0:12:15 > 0:12:17Come on, girl.

0:12:32 > 0:12:34Do you know, I think I preferred the Mermaid Cafe

0:12:34 > 0:12:36with flowers on the table.

0:12:36 > 0:12:38Hello, Jack. I'll bring the flowers out later.

0:12:38 > 0:12:41Emily's popping back with another ice cream cake.

0:12:41 > 0:12:44- Don't want her sneezing. - I suppose not.

0:12:47 > 0:12:50- Here I am.- Look at that!

0:12:50 > 0:12:53I'm a whiz with a whisk and a spatula.

0:12:53 > 0:12:55You are!

0:12:55 > 0:12:59Emily, I'm so sorry about the accident earlier.

0:12:59 > 0:13:03Never mind, Miss Bowline-Hitch. Accidents happen.

0:13:03 > 0:13:06I know they do but I wanted to apologise properly

0:13:06 > 0:13:09so I have a little present for you.

0:13:09 > 0:13:13Oh, that's very kind of you, Miss Bowline-Hitch.

0:13:13 > 0:13:16I'm not sure you should have given her those flowers!

0:13:16 > 0:13:18Atchoo!

0:13:25 > 0:13:26Oh, dear.

0:13:26 > 0:13:29Oh, dear.

0:13:29 > 0:13:31Oh, dear.

0:13:33 > 0:13:36How will I ever keep this place shipshape?
