0:04:43 > 0:04:46# Just Salty Dog and me
0:04:46 > 0:04:48# Upon the briny sea
0:04:48 > 0:04:50# The sea is calm, the sun is high

0:04:57 > 0:05:00# Just Salty Dog and me. #
0:05:00 > 0:05:03And then, as we were looking out over the waves,
0:05:03 > 0:05:07we saw a little light under the water,
0:05:07 > 0:05:09shining as brightly as the sun.
0:05:09 > 0:05:11"Ha-ha!" I said to Salty.
0:05:11 > 0:05:15"That will be Angela the anglerfish on her way to work."

0:05:30 > 0:05:33"It's a musical," Angela called back.
0:05:33 > 0:05:35Well, Salty loves musicals,
0:05:35 > 0:05:39so before you could say 'capering cuttlefish',

0:05:45 > 0:05:48Soon, we were outside.
0:05:48 > 0:05:50There were columns encrusted with
0:05:50 > 0:05:52pearly seashells
0:05:52 > 0:05:54and a towering sign above the door
0:05:54 > 0:05:56with light bulbs of every colour
0:05:56 > 0:05:59flashing and winking round the edge.
0:05:59 > 0:06:05Its giant lit-up letters read 'The Sound of Whale Music'.
0:06:05 > 0:06:12"Looks good," I said to Salty, so we bought our tickets for the film.
0:06:12 > 0:06:15The lights were low and the cinema was very dark.
0:06:15 > 0:06:20"Follow me," said Angela, and she shone her little headlight
0:06:20 > 0:06:23so we could see the way to our seats.
0:06:23 > 0:06:25Then the screen lit up
0:06:25 > 0:06:29and we watched a whale sing and dance his way through the film.
0:06:29 > 0:06:35He was tapping and twirling and, "Do-whop, de-doo-whop, de-doo!"
0:06:35 > 0:06:38Salty didn't take her eyes off the screen.
0:06:38 > 0:06:40At the end of the film, the big boss fish,
0:06:40 > 0:06:42who was in charge of everything,
0:06:42 > 0:06:45stood up and made a special announcement.
0:06:45 > 0:06:50"If you think you have what it takes to be a star," he said,

0:07:01 > 0:07:05and we were all chatting about it as we filed out of the door.
0:07:05 > 0:07:09Then, suddenly, Salty woofed and pointed at my head.
0:07:09 > 0:07:12"I've forgotten my hat!" I said,
0:07:12 > 0:07:15and we both hurried back into the cinema.
0:07:15 > 0:07:19When we got inside, we couldn't see a thing,
0:07:19 > 0:07:24except for a small pool of light right down at the very front.
0:07:24 > 0:07:26ANGELA SINGS
0:07:26 > 0:07:32"It's Angela," I whispered to Salty, "and she's singing!"
0:07:32 > 0:07:37Her voice sounded as pure as a mountain stream
0:07:37 > 0:07:42and with her little light, she lit up the stage like a star.
0:07:42 > 0:07:49Salty and I watched spellbound, and then we clapped. "Hurray!"
0:07:49 > 0:07:53Angela blinked into the darkness.
0:07:53 > 0:07:58"Jack? Salty? Oh, no! You didn't watch me, did you?"
0:07:58 > 0:08:01"Yes, you were wonderful!" I told her.
0:08:01 > 0:08:04"You should enter that talent contest tomorrow."
0:08:04 > 0:08:08But Angela said, "I'm too shy.
0:08:08 > 0:08:11"I can only do it if there's no-one looking."
0:08:11 > 0:08:17Well, Salty and I tried and tried to convince her to enter the contest
0:08:17 > 0:08:21until she said, "Do you really think I could do it?"
0:08:21 > 0:08:26"Of course!" we said to her. And so, Angela agreed.

0:09:28 > 0:09:30Really quiet.
0:09:30 > 0:09:33And really waiting.
0:09:33 > 0:09:38"Where's Angela?" I whispered to Salty. "She should be on stage."
0:09:38 > 0:09:42Salty and I fond her quivering in a corner.
0:09:42 > 0:09:47"I can't do it," she whispered to Salty and me.
