0:01:47 > 0:01:48Good morning, Pet Heads.

0:01:48 > 0:01:50ALL: Good morning, Luke.

0:01:50 > 0:01:53Hello. This is it, the second and final week of Pet School.

0:01:53 > 0:01:56So, it's the first Pet Practice of week two.

0:01:56 > 0:01:59- Shall we find out our groups? - ALL: Yes.

0:01:59 > 0:02:04It's a good idea, isn't it? Group one - Sam and Ananya and Chloe.

0:02:04 > 0:02:07You are going to be with...

0:02:07 > 0:02:09- the chickens. - Oh, you're joking.

0:02:09 > 0:02:11Joking? I'm not joking. Why would I be?

0:02:11 > 0:02:14- Why don't you want to be with them? - I just hate chickens.

0:02:14 > 0:02:16OK, some work to do. We'll find out, good luck.

0:02:16 > 0:02:21Group two - William, Thomas, and Courtney.

0:02:21 > 0:02:23You're with the dogs.

0:02:23 > 0:02:25- Yes!- Yes!

0:02:25 > 0:02:30Group three - Faramarz, Lauren, and Tommy,

0:02:30 > 0:02:32you are with the goats.

0:02:32 > 0:02:33No!

0:02:33 > 0:02:36Now, a bit of a change this week, OK? Because you've been here

0:02:36 > 0:02:39a week already, you know how to look after young animals a bit better.

0:02:39 > 0:02:41You're all, you know, sort of experts now,

0:02:41 > 0:02:44so you're going to lose a third of your time to do the Pet Practice.

0:02:44 > 0:02:47Instead of 45 minutes you're going to have 30 minutes

0:02:47 > 0:02:50to complete all the tasks. You're very welcome, don't mention it.

0:02:50 > 0:02:52Now, to help us a little bit,

0:02:52 > 0:02:56give us a little advice, we are saying hello to Pet School veterans.

0:02:56 > 0:03:00Give a big welcome to Chris and his dog Smooch and Julia and Bella.

0:03:00 > 0:03:03CHEERING AND LAUGHING

0:03:03 > 0:03:05Chris spent his time at Pet School working hard

0:03:05 > 0:03:08to convince his parents he was ready for a dog.

0:03:08 > 0:03:11And now he is the proud owner of Smooch.

0:03:11 > 0:03:14Julia fell in love with rats at Pet School but her mum

0:03:14 > 0:03:17felt that she should stick with Jue-Jue, the dog she already owned.

0:03:17 > 0:03:19But Jue-Jue's story took an unexpected twist

0:03:19 > 0:03:21when Jue-Jue was sadly stolen.

0:03:21 > 0:03:24Julia was heartbroken but her parents decided she had

0:03:24 > 0:03:27proven herself enough to get new dog, Bella.

0:03:29 > 0:03:31Welcome back, Pet Heads.

0:03:31 > 0:03:34What would be, like, your main advice to this year's Pet Heads?

0:03:34 > 0:03:36As long as you're here you need to work hard,

0:03:36 > 0:03:38but you also need to have fun.

0:03:38 > 0:03:41Awesome, and Julia, how about you? What would you say to these guys?

0:03:41 > 0:03:43Just enjoy yourself, that's all you have to do.

0:03:43 > 0:03:46It's going to get harder. I'm just telling you now.

0:03:46 > 0:03:49Any other questions, Pet Heads, now's your chance. William.

0:03:49 > 0:03:51How hard was it to persuade your parents to get a pet?

0:03:51 > 0:03:54It just depends on what sort of pet you want.

0:03:54 > 0:03:59If you want, like, a cat or a dog you need to persuade them by not only

0:03:59 > 0:04:03doing that with a dog or a cat but you also need to persuade them with

0:04:03 > 0:04:08other animals, so it just depends on how badly you want to get your pet.

0:04:08 > 0:04:10Good to know, good to know. Awesome.

0:04:10 > 0:04:14OK, Pet Heads, give our expert resident Pet Heads a little clap.

0:04:14 > 0:04:16Are you up for it? Has that inspired you?

0:04:16 > 0:04:17Well, let's not waste any more time.

0:04:17 > 0:04:20Pet Practice is awaiting. Off you go.

0:04:20 > 0:04:22And I've asked Chris and Julia to stick around

0:04:22 > 0:04:23to share more top tips later.

0:04:29 > 0:04:32At this stage I can't emphasise enough just how crucial

0:04:32 > 0:04:34a week it is for our Pet Heads.

0:04:34 > 0:04:38They've got to finish their tasks in the time, and so teamwork

0:04:38 > 0:04:41and organisation is now more important than ever.

0:04:41 > 0:04:44There's no room to be chickening out of tasks. In fact, scrap that -

0:04:44 > 0:04:46this is serious, there's no room for chicken jokes.

0:04:46 > 0:04:49All right, maybe one more. This group had better get cracking.

0:04:49 > 0:04:52"Hey, Chicken Heads. So the chickens need a good clean-up today

0:04:52 > 0:04:54"and it's your job to do it.

0:04:54 > 0:04:58"Catch the chickens and place them in carriers, changing the wood shavings

0:04:58 > 0:05:01"and straw after giving the coop a good brush

0:05:01 > 0:05:03"and poo-pick the enclosure.

0:05:03 > 0:05:05"You only have 30 minutes to complete your Pet Practice."

0:05:05 > 0:05:07Yay, I'm the team leader. "Good luck."

0:05:09 > 0:05:12As soon as we've got the chickens in there we can start

0:05:12 > 0:05:15really working, so that's the thing we're trying to do first.

0:05:15 > 0:05:18Hang on, get the door open. We can't let them in if the door's not open.

0:05:18 > 0:05:21Hold on, no, one sec, one sec, one sec. Hang on, Hang on.

0:05:21 > 0:05:25How not to catch chickens, part one. Hope they wander into their cages.

0:05:25 > 0:05:28I'm not really sure how we're going to catch them.

0:05:28 > 0:05:31- And what's this? There's two. - Shut it in.

0:05:33 > 0:05:35Close one in for now.

0:05:35 > 0:05:37How not to catch chickens part two.

0:05:37 > 0:05:40Chase the chickens with their cages.

0:05:40 > 0:05:42No. No!

0:05:42 > 0:05:45This is not going to work, we are going to fail.

0:05:45 > 0:05:47Yes, yes, yes, good on you.

0:05:47 > 0:05:49Oh!

0:05:49 > 0:05:50This is going to be a long day.

0:05:50 > 0:05:54Well, not that long, you only got 30 minutes to complete those tasks.

0:05:55 > 0:05:58Over in the dog room, William, Thomas and Courtney are seeing who

0:05:58 > 0:06:01will take the lead on their doggy duties.

0:06:01 > 0:06:04They will have to brush the dogs' coats,

0:06:04 > 0:06:05check for fleas

0:06:05 > 0:06:08and exercise them with their toys.

0:06:08 > 0:06:11"Thomas, you are the team leader, good luck."

0:06:11 > 0:06:17My approach is, looking after dogs, is to take your time

0:06:17 > 0:06:22and read the files and see what they like and see what they don't like.

0:06:24 > 0:06:27- Hi, how we doing? All right? - Yeah.- Great, thanks.

0:06:27 > 0:06:29You look sort of organised, that's a good sign.

0:06:29 > 0:06:32Julia and Chris are here as well, and Smooch the dog.

0:06:32 > 0:06:34These guys are like your walking, talking care books.

0:06:34 > 0:06:36Any advice at this stage?

0:06:36 > 0:06:38You need to give them comfort.

0:06:38 > 0:06:39She looks pretty happy.

0:06:39 > 0:06:42I think she's enjoying it.

0:06:42 > 0:06:45- Because he's a big dog I would say, like, you need a bit of help.- Yeah.

0:06:45 > 0:06:48As these Pet Heads pick up more tips from Chris and Julia,

0:06:48 > 0:06:51over at the goats, Tommy's having a little break

0:06:51 > 0:06:52because of a sprained ankle.

0:06:54 > 0:06:56Really want to be in there and helping my team.

0:06:56 > 0:06:59It's a bit worrying because we've got the goats

0:06:59 > 0:07:02and they're not the easiest animals ever to try and do tasks with.

0:07:02 > 0:07:06Since we've only got two people at the moment,

0:07:06 > 0:07:12I think we might fail, but it just depends on teamwork.

0:07:12 > 0:07:17"Welcome. You guys have a great task to do today with out resident goat."

0:07:17 > 0:07:21And they'll have lots of work ahead with only 30 minutes to bathe Ben.

0:07:21 > 0:07:24"Faramarz, you are team leader, good luck."

0:07:24 > 0:07:26Right, which one's Ben?

0:07:26 > 0:07:29We can't check the collar cos I'm scared it's going to head-butt me.

0:07:29 > 0:07:33- All right, you're going in first. - Yes, I know that.

0:07:33 > 0:07:35Be careful, they're looking at ya.

0:07:35 > 0:07:37I'm scared for you.

0:07:37 > 0:07:40Take it nice and slowly.

0:07:40 > 0:07:41Slowly.

0:07:42 > 0:07:45We need help, Faramarz.

0:07:45 > 0:07:49First off, I'm the leader, and you're coming here.

0:07:49 > 0:07:51CRICKETS CHIRP

0:07:51 > 0:07:55They're not even attacking me. Who needs help?

0:07:55 > 0:07:57We need help. We don't know which one's which.

0:07:57 > 0:08:01If Lauren wants to get started off on the right foot - sorry, hoof -

0:08:01 > 0:08:03she might want to try learning their names first.

0:08:05 > 0:08:08Um...that's better.

0:08:08 > 0:08:11Read the file, like the whole thing.

0:08:11 > 0:08:13Now that's an idea, Lauren.

0:08:13 > 0:08:17We really need help with this. We need Marie.

0:08:17 > 0:08:19Right, OK, point taken.

0:08:21 > 0:08:23Maybe if Lauren knew more about the goats

0:08:23 > 0:08:26she might be able to tell them apart and get over her fear.

0:08:26 > 0:08:28When Ben, Billy and Tommy are not at Pet School

0:08:28 > 0:08:31they live at an animal rescue centre.

0:08:31 > 0:08:34The goats were in quite poor condition when they arrived.

0:08:34 > 0:08:37They had quite a lot of dandruff, a lot of hair loss.

0:08:37 > 0:08:40Ben, Billy and Tommy really are looking much, much better

0:08:40 > 0:08:41since they arrived at the centre.

0:08:41 > 0:08:44Goats can be quite unpredictable so the children really are going to

0:08:44 > 0:08:46need to be on their toes with these guys.

0:08:46 > 0:08:49However, if they have got a little bit of tasty willow nearby

0:08:49 > 0:08:53or give Ben a little bit of a scratch they're going to get on just fine.

0:08:53 > 0:08:55GOAT BLEATS

0:08:55 > 0:09:00Meanwhile, over with the dogs, they are running out for a, well, run.

0:09:00 > 0:09:01Good boy. Go on, then!

0:09:05 > 0:09:09- Where's Meadow? You've lost Meadow, guys.- We haven't.

0:09:09 > 0:09:11You've lost Meadow, how could you?

0:09:11 > 0:09:12You check there.

0:09:12 > 0:09:14This won't look good, Pet Heads,

0:09:14 > 0:09:17if you can't keep control of your canine crew.

0:09:17 > 0:09:19Oh, they let Meadow just run away.

0:09:19 > 0:09:24- Meadow!- While William wrangles Meadow back to her, uh, meadow...

0:09:24 > 0:09:25Courtney's got her hands full too.

0:09:28 > 0:09:31Come on, Meadow. Come on, come on, girl.

0:09:31 > 0:09:34With Meadow safety returned, the group gets back to business.

0:09:34 > 0:09:37Thomas, here's some treats.

0:09:37 > 0:09:40Stay. Clark, stay. Clark, sit.

0:09:40 > 0:09:42Wait, wait, wait.

0:09:42 > 0:09:44There may be a lot of treats

0:09:44 > 0:09:46but there's not a lot of tricks going on.

0:09:48 > 0:09:50I'll give you one for sitting.

0:09:50 > 0:09:51Roll over.

0:09:51 > 0:09:52No? OK.

0:09:54 > 0:09:57Clark, roll over. Roll over, Clark.

0:09:57 > 0:09:58Keep trying, Courtney.

0:09:58 > 0:10:01Over at the chicken coup, it's all about chicken poop.

0:10:01 > 0:10:03Ew, that smells.

0:10:03 > 0:10:08I know it smells. They lay out the eggs in there. It's going to smell.

0:10:08 > 0:10:11Two chickens, yes.

0:10:11 > 0:10:13I don't know how you're supposed to do this up,

0:10:13 > 0:10:17- cos I've got two in here. - Well done.- So...

0:10:17 > 0:10:18See if I can do it.

0:10:18 > 0:10:20OK, that's good, that's good.

0:10:20 > 0:10:26So that leaves Ananya on her own while two people fasten the cage.

0:10:26 > 0:10:28Ahh, I'm going to puke. This is horrid.

0:10:32 > 0:10:34I'm not going to eat anything at lunch.

0:10:34 > 0:10:37SHE GAGS

0:10:37 > 0:10:40Meanwhile, Lauren and Faramarz are still butting heads over who

0:10:40 > 0:10:43needs a bath. A little help, Marie?

0:10:43 > 0:10:45How are we doing? You've got ten minutes left,

0:10:45 > 0:10:47- I don't know if you knew that. - We don't know which one's Ben.

0:10:47 > 0:10:50- That's what's slowing us down the most.- Have a little look and see

0:10:50 > 0:10:53if you can work out who looks like they need a bath.

0:10:53 > 0:10:55I think all of them do.

0:10:55 > 0:10:59- That one! He or she looks like the most.- Yeah?

0:10:59 > 0:11:00Sometimes we do have a dog.

0:11:00 > 0:11:03He's got a dog lead on so we need to just get a hold of the hook.

0:11:03 > 0:11:05That's it, fabulous, well done.

0:11:05 > 0:11:09Nice work, Faramarz. Now, about that bath...

0:11:09 > 0:11:11We really need to start hatching a plan here.

0:11:11 > 0:11:13Come on, let's crack on, what are we doing? Work as a team.

0:11:13 > 0:11:16OK, um, first we need to brush it, don't I?

0:11:16 > 0:11:18OK, just quickly wash him and broom him afterwards.

0:11:18 > 0:11:21- Let's get this goat bathed, guys, come on.- Come on, it'll work, see?

0:11:21 > 0:11:23Well done, mate, well done.

0:11:23 > 0:11:26I mean, I'm getting wetter than this goat here.

0:11:26 > 0:11:29That's it. And this little bit right here.

0:11:29 > 0:11:31Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. It's working,

0:11:31 > 0:11:32I knew we'd pass.

0:11:32 > 0:11:36We used teamwork to get to our objective.

0:11:36 > 0:11:38Worked. Done. Finished.

0:11:38 > 0:11:41Back at the chicken coup, with only minutes to go,

0:11:41 > 0:11:44our team still seems stuck in the muck.

0:11:44 > 0:11:46Guys, you need to start filling it with new sawdust.

0:11:46 > 0:11:49Yeah, but it's not empty yet, there's loads of it.

0:11:49 > 0:11:52I'm just taking out the poo bits, I'm not taking out all of it.

0:11:52 > 0:11:55Oh, whatever. I give up. I actually give up.

0:11:55 > 0:11:57Come on, Chloe, if you're going to be the leader

0:11:57 > 0:12:00you'll have to step up, not give up.

0:12:00 > 0:12:02Since day one, Chloe has been struggling to bond

0:12:02 > 0:12:05with our animals and complete the challenges.

0:12:05 > 0:12:07I give up. You know I give up.

0:12:07 > 0:12:09Your parents are not going to change their minds

0:12:09 > 0:12:11if you keep giving up on tasks.

0:12:11 > 0:12:13Don't like them.

0:12:13 > 0:12:16I think if Lauren hadn't said she'd been bitten or pecked

0:12:16 > 0:12:17then I would have got them up,

0:12:17 > 0:12:20but they ran away from me so it's not a chance.

0:12:21 > 0:12:2530 minutes goes very quickly, and that is time on Pet Practice.

0:12:25 > 0:12:28So, will our Pet Heads have completed their task

0:12:28 > 0:12:29and be getting full marks?

0:12:29 > 0:12:31Or will they be staying around to complete them later?

0:12:31 > 0:12:34- Thank you, Chris and Julia, for coming back.- Thank you.

0:12:34 > 0:12:36Nice to see you. Thank you, Smooch and Bella as well.

0:12:36 > 0:12:39Good work. And let's hope they've taken some of your advice.

0:12:39 > 0:12:42Coming up...it's all change for the Pet Heads.

0:12:42 > 0:12:44Feels weird.

0:12:44 > 0:12:46Oh, that's very creepy indeed.

0:12:46 > 0:12:49And X Factor stars District 3 get crafty.

0:12:49 > 0:12:50That sounds good.

0:12:53 > 0:12:55Thomas, William and Courtney successfully finished

0:12:55 > 0:12:57all their doggy duties.

0:12:57 > 0:13:02As did Lauren, Faramarz and Tommy - they get maximum pet buddy time.

0:13:02 > 0:13:05Whilst the other Pet Heads are with their buddies, Chloe, Sam and Ananya

0:13:05 > 0:13:07are still trying to finish their chicken tasks.

0:13:07 > 0:13:09The chickens have really got to be in the carriers

0:13:09 > 0:13:11before we start cleaning.

0:13:11 > 0:13:14There's also still quite a bit of poo in the nest box as well.

0:13:14 > 0:13:16So we need to check that, and lastly none of the nest boxes have

0:13:16 > 0:13:19straw in there and the chickens like to have some straw to make

0:13:19 > 0:13:22a nice little nest out of them, so we need to sort out all that.

0:13:22 > 0:13:25First of all, shall we do a quick crash course in chicken catching?

0:13:26 > 0:13:28Chloe, are you ready?

0:13:28 > 0:13:29Not a chance.

0:13:29 > 0:13:32We're going to do this, come on, let's get these guys catched.

0:13:32 > 0:13:35That's it, that's it, straight down.

0:13:35 > 0:13:38While she's standing up, pin that hand straight down onto her.

0:13:41 > 0:13:43Nearly. Bring her wings in too, Sam.

0:13:43 > 0:13:46Yes, perfect. Gold star for Sam.

0:13:46 > 0:13:49- Which one are we putting...? - Right, we can pop her in this one.

0:13:49 > 0:13:51Sam is doing well but how will Ananya,

0:13:51 > 0:13:52who is afraid of animals, do?

0:13:52 > 0:13:55You are being amazingly brave.

0:13:55 > 0:13:58You need to bring her straight into you, under that arm. Got her?

0:13:58 > 0:14:02- Yeah.- You're fine. Right, let's bend down, let's get her in.

0:14:02 > 0:14:04Yes, you've done it.

0:14:05 > 0:14:08Well done, Ananya ,you've come such a long way.

0:14:08 > 0:14:11On day one you wouldn't even go near the animals.

0:14:11 > 0:14:14Scaring me! This dog is scaring me!

0:14:14 > 0:14:18However, Chloe still has a long way to go.

0:14:18 > 0:14:21- If you can walk a goat, you can hold a chicken.- I don't know how.

0:14:21 > 0:14:27- So, lift her, bring her straight into you.- What? How? With what?

0:14:27 > 0:14:29That's it, you're holding her, you are holding her, OK?

0:14:29 > 0:14:33So, bring this hand here as well, underneath. There you go.

0:14:34 > 0:14:37- I don't like it at all. - Well done. But you're doing it.

0:14:37 > 0:14:38You've done it.

0:14:38 > 0:14:41All right, don't let go of her until you've got her head in there,

0:14:41 > 0:14:44cos we need to keep her wings tucked nice and tucked in.

0:14:44 > 0:14:46Pop her right in.

0:14:46 > 0:14:47She's in.

0:14:53 > 0:14:55You've got a chicken, you've held a chicken, OK?

0:14:55 > 0:14:58I really don't like chickens or hens, and, you know,

0:14:58 > 0:15:01the only time I want to see them is on the Sunday dinner.

0:15:03 > 0:15:06So let's get these gutted out, we'll get the chickens back in.

0:15:09 > 0:15:10Pop this lid down, Chloe.

0:15:10 > 0:15:14- Can you bring Ananya...- Ouch!

0:15:14 > 0:15:17I think we're just about there, guys, we just need to get the last bit in,

0:15:17 > 0:15:20tidy up all this area, and let's get the chickens back in and we're done.

0:15:25 > 0:15:29With the chickens sorted, Sam, Ananya and Chloe can finally join

0:15:29 > 0:15:33their pet buddies, but Marie and I have a surprise up our sleeves.

0:15:33 > 0:15:35What do you reckon? Time to mix things up,

0:15:35 > 0:15:38- change their pet buddies around. - Let's mix it up.- That's it. Cool, OK,

0:15:38 > 0:15:40decision time. So, she's done well.

0:15:40 > 0:15:42She has. It's been a tough week for her

0:15:42 > 0:15:45and I really think she needs to be able to see that actually

0:15:45 > 0:15:48some animals instantly want to get that bond.

0:15:48 > 0:15:50He's done well so we just need to

0:15:50 > 0:15:52throw him into something completely different.

0:15:52 > 0:15:54I'm really proud of her and I think this is a good week for her

0:15:54 > 0:15:56to get a reward from it.

0:15:56 > 0:15:58He's not totally sure what he wants,

0:15:58 > 0:16:01but he thinks he wants a small animal.

0:16:01 > 0:16:03- Job done.- Done it, yes.

0:16:03 > 0:16:05How will the Pet Heads react to the news?

0:16:05 > 0:16:09- Sam and the cats. Hi, mate. - Hi.- How we doing?- Good.

0:16:09 > 0:16:12- I know they're, like, up there with your best animals now.- Yeah.

0:16:12 > 0:16:13Yeah, that's good.

0:16:13 > 0:16:18- Little bit awkward, mate, because pet buddies are changing.- No.

0:16:18 > 0:16:22One minute to say goodbye to all 11, starting now.

0:16:22 > 0:16:24See you, goats!

0:16:24 > 0:16:26- I'll see you down by the pigeonholes, all right?- OK.

0:16:28 > 0:16:31See ya. I hope I get a dog as my new pet buddy.

0:16:33 > 0:16:34Sh!

0:16:34 > 0:16:37She is sad to say goodbye, really.

0:16:37 > 0:16:39Tommy, however, is definitely sad to be swapping buddies.

0:16:39 > 0:16:42I'm really going to miss them, they're my little babies.

0:16:46 > 0:16:50This is the... Basically, I've really got...

0:16:50 > 0:16:53I just really enjoy being with the rats and now I've got to leave them.

0:16:57 > 0:17:00I just really want rats as a pet when I go home.

0:17:00 > 0:17:03Cheer up, Tommy, maybe you'll meet someone else you really like.

0:17:08 > 0:17:11- Pet Heads, get over here! Hi. - ALL: Hi.

0:17:11 > 0:17:13Hi, we're changing pet buddies.

0:17:13 > 0:17:17Behind me in your pigeonholes is a school letter with your name on.

0:17:17 > 0:17:20It says your next pet buddy, OK?

0:17:20 > 0:17:21Deep breath.

0:17:23 > 0:17:25- I feel much better now. - Go.

0:17:29 > 0:17:31Yes!

0:17:31 > 0:17:33Yes! Oh, my God!

0:17:33 > 0:17:35I've got a snake, and I'm very angry.

0:17:38 > 0:17:40I've got the rat.

0:17:40 > 0:17:42I've got the hamsters and I'm quite happy.

0:17:42 > 0:17:44I've got the ferret.

0:17:44 > 0:17:46I've got the cats!

0:17:46 > 0:17:47The rabbits.

0:17:47 > 0:17:50I've got Meadow! Oh, my gosh, I'm so happy.

0:17:54 > 0:17:59- Pet Heads! Hi. Talk to me, how we doing? Who's happy?- Me!

0:17:59 > 0:18:02You've got to go and check 'em out right now, go and say hello.

0:18:02 > 0:18:03This is it. See you later.

0:18:03 > 0:18:05Here's how the buddies have changed.

0:18:05 > 0:18:08Lauren is with Meadow and Ananya's got Clark.

0:18:08 > 0:18:10Chloe's got guinea pigs, Tommy's with the rabbits.

0:18:10 > 0:18:13Courtney is handling the hamsters and Thomas has the snake.

0:18:13 > 0:18:16William found the ferrets, Faramarz has scored the cats,

0:18:16 > 0:18:17and Sam's with the rats.

0:18:19 > 0:18:22Our Pet Heads are off to get acquainted with their new buddies.

0:18:22 > 0:18:23Hello.

0:18:23 > 0:18:25Ananya may have bonded with the bunnies

0:18:25 > 0:18:28but her animal fears are dogging her again with Clark.

0:18:28 > 0:18:31I'm bringing some treats out with me.

0:18:31 > 0:18:32I'm only bringing two.

0:18:32 > 0:18:36I'm not bringing any, I don't think I'm at the stage to feed them yet.

0:18:36 > 0:18:37- Go, just go.- Good boy.

0:18:37 > 0:18:39- And let's go.- Come on, come on.

0:18:41 > 0:18:43Come on, come on.

0:18:43 > 0:18:46You need to actually walk with him, Ananya.

0:18:47 > 0:18:50- Oh, my God.- Just walk off, it's fine, just keep walking.

0:18:50 > 0:18:53- Good boy.- You should be happy because you've got Clark.

0:18:53 > 0:18:56I'm still kind of scared of Clark

0:18:56 > 0:18:59so I was just happy that you're also there.

0:18:59 > 0:19:02If you feel really scared, right, just stay still.

0:19:02 > 0:19:05Great suggestion, Lauren. At least Ananya knows Clark's name.

0:19:05 > 0:19:08Clark, Clark, Clark.

0:19:08 > 0:19:11- Right, if I have one treat and you have another...- Sit!

0:19:11 > 0:19:13Here, here, here.

0:19:13 > 0:19:15No, no, no, no. Please don't.

0:19:15 > 0:19:18No, just keep it in your pocket, he's fine.

0:19:18 > 0:19:20Ananya's got a lot of work to do

0:19:20 > 0:19:23if she's going to change Mum and Dad's mind about having a dog.

0:19:23 > 0:19:29She needs to get comfortable and get over the fear of having an animal.

0:19:29 > 0:19:32If I carry on being scared then I won't get a pet.

0:19:32 > 0:19:34Maybe she could use a few tips from Lauren,

0:19:34 > 0:19:37- who's loving being with Meadow. - Meadow, sit.

0:19:37 > 0:19:39I'm looking forward to the rest of the week with her because

0:19:39 > 0:19:42she basically is my favourite animal ever,

0:19:42 > 0:19:47and I'm just really loving this moment.

0:19:47 > 0:19:51Because I've got to enjoy it and I am at the moment,

0:19:51 > 0:19:54and she's the best thing that has ever happened to me. Yes, you are.

0:19:56 > 0:19:59Over in the furries room, Sam is getting hands-on

0:19:59 > 0:20:01with his new pet buddy.

0:20:01 > 0:20:03Now rats, they don't really like to be held,

0:20:03 > 0:20:05they like to use you as a bit of a climbing frame, OK?

0:20:05 > 0:20:07You going to have a little hold?

0:20:07 > 0:20:10- Yeah. So should I just let it walk all over me?- Yep. First of all put

0:20:10 > 0:20:12your hands out and hold her. And if it's more comfortable for you,

0:20:12 > 0:20:16just pop her on your shoulder or just let 'em get in your hoodie

0:20:16 > 0:20:18if you've got something like that, they love snuggling up there.

0:20:18 > 0:20:21And a task you could be doing this week is doing treat training, so you

0:20:21 > 0:20:24could get a little bit of mashed up banana and offer it to her.

0:20:24 > 0:20:27- Where are you going?- She's probably going to jump. I've got her.

0:20:27 > 0:20:30Feels weird. When it was up there, I was...

0:20:30 > 0:20:32So if I give her back to you, if you want to pop her in.

0:20:32 > 0:20:35So I think you've done pretty well for today.

0:20:35 > 0:20:37Good job, well done.

0:20:37 > 0:20:41I'm not that keen on the rats but I think if I can do the rats

0:20:41 > 0:20:45then there's a big proof I can look after these different animals.

0:20:45 > 0:20:48In the reptile room, Thomas is also struggling

0:20:48 > 0:20:50to get used to his new buddy.

0:20:50 > 0:20:52That's creepy.

0:20:52 > 0:20:54Oh, that's very creepy indeed.

0:20:56 > 0:20:59- Thomas, how we doing? - Bit scared.

0:20:59 > 0:21:01- A bit scared?- Yeah.

0:21:01 > 0:21:04Would you like me to show you the best sort of way to pick him up

0:21:04 > 0:21:06and handle, then you're able to get on with your pet buddy session

0:21:06 > 0:21:08a bit more then, yeah?

0:21:10 > 0:21:12Here she is. Are you all right?

0:21:12 > 0:21:15- What are you thinking? - A bit scared.

0:21:15 > 0:21:18- Yeah?- She's a bit bigger than I thought.

0:21:18 > 0:21:20So she can see what's going on, OK?

0:21:20 > 0:21:24So you see I just give her one little stroke and just lift her up.

0:21:24 > 0:21:26You OK?

0:21:26 > 0:21:29Yeah, she doesn't seem so bad.

0:21:29 > 0:21:33So, nice and slow moves. Her food is mice and they move quite quick,

0:21:33 > 0:21:35so you want nice and slow moves.

0:21:35 > 0:21:39She has eaten, though, so she's all right. OK? Well done.

0:21:39 > 0:21:42Brilliant. Slow moves, but keep it on, you're doing a fab job.

0:21:42 > 0:21:44So I'll leave you to carry on. Keep practising with

0:21:44 > 0:21:47the handling so you're getting used to her movements.

0:21:47 > 0:21:49- Can I just put it back in? - If you want to.

0:21:52 > 0:21:56I think next time I think I might kind of try to feed it,

0:21:56 > 0:22:01maybe clean out the water and maybe try and hold it and see

0:22:01 > 0:22:03if I can do them things next time.

0:22:03 > 0:22:08Maybe if he knew a bit more about Tweety Pie he wouldn't be so scared.

0:22:08 > 0:22:09Tweety Pie lives at a reptile centre

0:22:09 > 0:22:12where he is looked after by reptile expert Gary.

0:22:14 > 0:22:17Tweety Pie came to us under unusual circumstances.

0:22:17 > 0:22:21He was found in a garage trying to eat someone's pet budgie.

0:22:21 > 0:22:27We get over 100 calls about rehoming snakes for various reasons.

0:22:27 > 0:22:29Predominately they've got bored of their snake.

0:22:29 > 0:22:31The most important thing to do with animals,

0:22:31 > 0:22:34and definitely for exotics, is to do plenty of research.

0:22:34 > 0:22:38Milk snakes are a great example of a friendly, small snake.

0:22:38 > 0:22:42They are very relaxed and easy to hold.

0:22:42 > 0:22:47As long is Tweety Pie is handled with care and the children

0:22:47 > 0:22:50are relaxed then Tweety Pie will get on great at Pet School.

0:22:50 > 0:22:54And that's it for pet buddy time. If you would like to find out more

0:22:54 > 0:22:57about keeping your animals happy and healthy, go to the CBBC website,

0:22:57 > 0:23:00where we've got lots of pet fact sheets to help you.

0:23:00 > 0:23:01See ya.

0:23:06 > 0:23:08So, just four more days to go, right?

0:23:08 > 0:23:10To prove yourselves. Time is ticking, I know.

0:23:10 > 0:23:12It's sad but there's still time.

0:23:12 > 0:23:14So, you also know at Pet School

0:23:14 > 0:23:17we like to have a few celebrity guests in, right?

0:23:17 > 0:23:19They're queuing up to come in, you'll know them from the last

0:23:19 > 0:23:23series of X Factor. Say hello to Dan and Greg from District 3.

0:23:27 > 0:23:30# Here's my attitude... #

0:23:30 > 0:23:342012 X Factor finalists District 3 went from being a hit on the show

0:23:34 > 0:23:37to having top-five chart success around the world.

0:23:37 > 0:23:39They even had a tour hosted by me.

0:23:43 > 0:23:45I'd like you to meet Luke and Frank.

0:23:45 > 0:23:48- Yes. Yes, there they are. - They're our gerbils.

0:23:48 > 0:23:51- I didn't know you named them after me.- They are named after you.

0:23:51 > 0:23:53- Exactly.- That's a beautiful moment.

0:23:53 > 0:23:56Also, we're missing one of the boys. Micky's not very well, right?

0:23:56 > 0:23:58Not feeling too good, his throat's a bit sore at the moment,

0:23:58 > 0:24:00but he's on the mend.

0:24:00 > 0:24:01Big love to Micky, that's cool.

0:24:01 > 0:24:05Pet Heads, these are the experts, any questions? Tommy.

0:24:05 > 0:24:08How did you go about catching them on the first day?

0:24:08 > 0:24:12It was a struggle. It was a struggle because they're very fast.

0:24:12 > 0:24:15Even now I struggle to keep them still.

0:24:15 > 0:24:17Did it take you long to, like, bond with them?

0:24:17 > 0:24:21- A little while.- You've got to let them get used to a new environment,

0:24:21 > 0:24:22do you know what I mean?

0:24:22 > 0:24:25- That's cool. So we've got a little challenge today.- Yes.

0:24:25 > 0:24:26What are we going to do?

0:24:26 > 0:24:29- We are going to make a little gerbil hotel.- I've made one before.

0:24:29 > 0:24:31Five-star sort of standard?

0:24:31 > 0:24:33- Yeah, yeah, well, for them.- Yeah.

0:24:33 > 0:24:37If you split into your teams from Pet Practice this morning.

0:24:37 > 0:24:40Underneath your tables you're going to find what you need

0:24:40 > 0:24:41to make your very own gerbil hotel.

0:24:41 > 0:24:43The Pet Heads will have to give this their best efforts

0:24:43 > 0:24:46to impress gerbils Luke and Frank

0:24:46 > 0:24:49and District 3 will judge the winning hotel.

0:24:49 > 0:24:52- Shall we wander around?- Yep.- Yeah.

0:24:53 > 0:24:55That looks pretty good.

0:24:55 > 0:24:58Can we have an entrance on one end and an exit on the other?

0:24:58 > 0:25:01Of course, mate. Of course, yeah, that sounds good.

0:25:01 > 0:25:02They're thinking about two floors.

0:25:02 > 0:25:05Two floors, I think they'll love that.

0:25:05 > 0:25:07That's inventive, that's inspired. Good work.

0:25:11 > 0:25:13- They sneak out. - They can go in and out, that's fine.

0:25:13 > 0:25:15Got that sorted, good work.

0:25:15 > 0:25:16Greg, how we getting on?

0:25:16 > 0:25:19Pretty good, we've actually gone for a triple tunnel.

0:25:19 > 0:25:21No way. You're talking silly, stop talking silly.

0:25:21 > 0:25:23Oh, no, this is big, this is big stuff.

0:25:23 > 0:25:25You doing the safety check, Sam?

0:25:25 > 0:25:28- Make sure they get through there all right.- Health and safety.- Cool.

0:25:28 > 0:25:31Could we have something from there where they can go up to there?

0:25:31 > 0:25:33Like a little...

0:25:34 > 0:25:35Time to wrap up.

0:25:35 > 0:25:40Five, four, three, two, one, that is time, Pet Heads!

0:25:40 > 0:25:43Put down all your things that you were holding,

0:25:43 > 0:25:44your toilet rolls and your boxes.

0:25:44 > 0:25:49Boys, let's come and have a debrief chat. First thoughts.

0:25:49 > 0:25:52I'm liking the slight incline on the tunnel there.

0:25:52 > 0:25:55We actually made, like, a gerbil buffet and we've actually
