0:02:39 > 0:02:42To pass the final challenge would be absolutely great.

0:02:42 > 0:02:46We've worked so hard and put in so much effort in the past month

0:02:46 > 0:02:50that to get the results that we all deserve would be really, really nice.

0:02:52 > 0:02:54And this is where it all starts.

0:02:54 > 0:02:57From now on, mentors Rudi and Frankie will be taking a step back

0:02:57 > 0:03:00to act as judges and will ultimately decide

0:03:00 > 0:03:02whether the group passes or fails.

0:03:02 > 0:03:04- Good morning. ALL:- Morning.

0:03:04 > 0:03:07- How are you guys feeling?- Great.

0:03:07 > 0:03:11OK, guys, your final challenge is to lead an overnight safari

0:03:11 > 0:03:13to track the big five.

0:03:13 > 0:03:18In addition to tracking animals, you must meet your guests' needs,

0:03:24 > 0:03:27You guys must work as a team.

0:03:30 > 0:03:33Everyone listens to him.

0:03:33 > 0:03:35Last but not least,

0:03:35 > 0:03:40at no given time must you guys forget

0:03:40 > 0:03:42the safety rules that we've given you.

0:03:42 > 0:03:44You must always bear that in mind.

0:03:44 > 0:03:48And the big news is that the celebrities aren't very far away.

0:03:48 > 0:03:51OK, guys, your guests will be arriving in about ten minutes.

0:03:51 > 0:03:55- Good luck. All the best. - OK, guys, let's do it!

0:03:59 > 0:04:03I think we all thought we would have a bit more time

0:04:03 > 0:04:06in between getting here and the guests coming.

0:04:06 > 0:04:08I think everyone's a bit stressed.

0:04:08 > 0:04:10Everybody's chipping in

0:04:10 > 0:04:11to help with hospitality.

0:04:11 > 0:04:16As the final challenge judges, Frankie and Rudi

0:04:16 > 0:04:19are already assessing the team,

0:04:19 > 0:04:23as well as being on standby to give emergency backup and advice.

0:04:23 > 0:04:24We need somewhere to put this.

0:04:24 > 0:04:27But as the camp is so far from being ready,

0:04:27 > 0:04:31there's a situation head ranger Manya needs to handle on his own.

0:04:31 > 0:04:32We are quite far from done

0:04:32 > 0:04:36and I don't think you guys are going to be able to come on the game drive.

0:04:36 > 0:04:39The guests are coming and we need to get this place ready,

0:04:39 > 0:04:41so it's going to be better if you guys stay here

0:04:41 > 0:04:43and get the camp up and running.

0:04:43 > 0:04:46I still want to be involved with the animals so, you know,

0:04:46 > 0:04:50I'm quite upset but I'm trying to make Rudi and Frankie proud,

0:04:50 > 0:04:54so I'm not going to show it or complain to anyone.

0:04:54 > 0:04:57I'm just going to keep going with what Manya tells us.

0:04:57 > 0:05:00- We don't mind. That's our job. - Yeah, that's fine.- OK.

0:05:00 > 0:05:04So, Caroline isn't happy that she's going to have to stay behind,

0:05:04 > 0:05:07and that's not Manya's only problem.

0:05:07 > 0:05:12I'm feeling really sick right now. I really don't want to be sick.

0:05:12 > 0:05:14Are you feeling sick?

0:05:15 > 0:05:17Are you feeling sick?

0:05:17 > 0:05:20Yeah, I've had vomiting, yeah.

0:05:20 > 0:05:23- OK. I hope you get better, Noma. - Thank you.

0:05:23 > 0:05:28So, Manya's left with one guide down and a difficult decision to make.

0:05:28 > 0:05:33Noma is feeling really sick and she's going to have to stay here,

0:05:33 > 0:05:35so Tom,

0:05:35 > 0:05:38Noma's going to stay with you and help you with the hospitality

0:05:38 > 0:05:40and Caroline will have to step in as a guide.

0:05:40 > 0:05:44It's really sad - I really wanted to be involved today

0:05:44 > 0:05:47and then being able to say, "I was in the final challenge",

0:05:47 > 0:05:48and everything.

0:05:48 > 0:05:50It was sad that Noma was sick,

0:05:50 > 0:05:52but I'm so happy right now.

0:05:52 > 0:05:53I'm really glad.

0:05:53 > 0:05:56I like spotting animals and telling people about them.

0:05:56 > 0:06:00So Caroline's smiling again, which is lucky,

0:06:00 > 0:06:03because it's finally time for the team to meet and greet

0:06:03 > 0:06:05their mystery celebrity guests.

0:06:05 > 0:06:07We've got to go and meet the guests,

0:06:07 > 0:06:10and we've got to try and make really good first impressions.

0:06:12 > 0:06:15The team have waited for four weeks

0:06:15 > 0:06:19to find out exactly who they'll be looking after on their safari,

0:06:19 > 0:06:21and now it's the moment of truth.

0:06:21 > 0:06:23Hi, guys. Hello.

0:06:23 > 0:06:27Yes, Caroline, it's Andy from Blue Peter.

0:06:27 > 0:06:30Andy is one of the UK's top children's presenters

0:06:30 > 0:06:34on the world's longest running kids' TV show.

0:06:34 > 0:06:36I think I'm just intrigued

0:06:36 > 0:06:38to see how much they've learnt.

0:06:38 > 0:06:40- Hospitality...- How you doing, man?

0:06:40 > 0:06:43And secondly, I'm actually hoping they'll look after me.

0:06:43 > 0:06:45Touch wood, they will!

0:06:45 > 0:06:48The other celebrity guest is South African star Bongi,

0:06:48 > 0:06:52who's best known for presenting the children's show Hectic Nine-9.

0:06:52 > 0:06:56Camping is not my thing, but we're not going to find a plasma TV.

0:06:56 > 0:07:00As long as there's a toilet and a shower, I'll be happy.

0:07:00 > 0:07:04Hmm, I think Bongi might be in for a bit of a shock!

0:07:04 > 0:07:08- This is the tent area. - You guys have been busy!- Yeah.

0:07:08 > 0:07:12I sort of want to know about the toilets. I don't see anything there.

0:07:12 > 0:07:15OK, well, it's got a little bush surrounding,

0:07:15 > 0:07:17and it's a little hole in the ground.

0:07:17 > 0:07:22- You can't shower.- I'm going home! - I might join you, actually!

0:07:22 > 0:07:25- We can deal with that. We can deal with that.- OK.

0:07:25 > 0:07:26The meet and greet went well.

0:07:26 > 0:07:30They are exactly how we were in the first week.

0:07:30 > 0:07:32What's the first thing we're doing today?

0:07:32 > 0:07:34We'll try to find you some of the big five.

0:07:34 > 0:07:38We're going to take you on a drive and try to find you some animals.

0:07:38 > 0:07:41- All right.- All right! - I'm quite excited now.

0:07:41 > 0:07:44- FRANKIE:- Positive start. I hope the animals play along,

0:07:44 > 0:07:47and we'll see what goes on in camp when we come back.

0:07:53 > 0:07:57After four weeks of learning the ranger ropes,

0:07:57 > 0:08:01it's time for the team to take their guests out on a game drive.

0:08:01 > 0:08:06Manya's tracking team heads out to search for the animals.

0:08:06 > 0:08:08I'm feeling really excited.

0:08:08 > 0:08:11It's so nice to take the information that we've been given

0:08:11 > 0:08:13and now give it to people.

0:08:13 > 0:08:15The guests are really nice.

0:08:15 > 0:08:19The guys who are going to be with the guests are going to stay here.

0:08:19 > 0:08:21The two trackers and myself,

0:08:21 > 0:08:24they're going to be looking for tracks.

0:08:24 > 0:08:27Most people come on safari to see the big five -

0:08:27 > 0:08:31lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and buffalo.

0:08:31 > 0:08:36Can they complete the set over the next two days?

0:08:36 > 0:08:39We're really looking forward to finding

0:08:39 > 0:08:43the elephant and the rhino, but anything in the big five.

0:08:43 > 0:08:46What would the guests like to see?

0:08:46 > 0:08:48I've been before, but I haven't seen a lion.

0:08:48 > 0:08:51I think everyone comes to safari to see, like, a lion,

0:08:51 > 0:08:53but I want to see a giraffe.

0:08:53 > 0:08:58And it looks like it might be Andy's lucky day,

0:08:58 > 0:09:00because the tracking team have spotted one.

0:09:00 > 0:09:06Manya to Ashleigh... Manya to Ashleigh.

0:09:06 > 0:09:08'Ashleigh, we've got a giraffe'

0:09:08 > 0:09:12just in front of us, it's right next to the road.

0:09:12 > 0:09:15We're at the camp but we're going to meet up with you now.

0:09:15 > 0:09:17He's not going to be here the whole day,

0:09:17 > 0:09:20so you guys must hurry up, OK?

0:09:20 > 0:09:23- Into the car, people! - Where are we sitting?

0:09:23 > 0:09:27They head out to their first animals sighting of the final challenge.

0:09:27 > 0:09:29Are you a bit jealous?

0:09:29 > 0:09:32A bit, but it doesn't matter, we've got the important job.

0:09:32 > 0:09:34They're going to be coming home to US, Tomas.

0:09:34 > 0:09:38- Yeah. Hope you see the big five!- Yeah!

0:09:38 > 0:09:41Have a nice time!

0:09:41 > 0:09:44Over the next two days, Frankie and Rudi

0:09:44 > 0:09:47will judge them on their tracking skills, animal knowledge

0:09:47 > 0:09:50and the level of guest experience they give.

0:09:50 > 0:09:54This sighting is the perfect opportunity for the guiding team

0:09:54 > 0:09:55to really start impressing them.

0:09:55 > 0:09:59The giraffe's on the left-hand side, if you look.

0:09:59 > 0:10:01'He's busy browsing in the trees.'

0:10:09 > 0:10:12ANDY: They're so peaceful.

0:10:12 > 0:10:13Can you tell how old that one is?

0:10:13 > 0:10:17That one's an older male, because as the males get older,

0:10:17 > 0:10:19their spots go really dark.

0:10:19 > 0:10:22It's a male because there's no hair on his horns,

0:10:22 > 0:10:24which means he fights a lot.

0:10:24 > 0:10:27The females have lots of hair on their horns.

0:10:27 > 0:10:31It's a great start to the final challenge, and minutes later,

0:10:31 > 0:10:35Manya's team have followed some more tracks with success.

0:10:35 > 0:10:36Manya to Ashleigh.

0:10:36 > 0:10:38'Ashleigh standing by.'

0:10:38 > 0:10:40Ashleigh, come up quickly.

0:10:40 > 0:10:44'There's an elephant bull. Quickly, quickly, quickly.'

0:10:44 > 0:10:48- Excited face, excited face, excited face!- There!

0:10:48 > 0:10:51Oh, my goodness.

0:10:52 > 0:10:54- Can I lean out?- Yeah.- Is it OK?

0:10:56 > 0:10:59The ears have lots of blood vessels in them,

0:10:59 > 0:11:04so when they flap their ears, they're basically cooling their blood down,

0:11:04 > 0:11:09and then they cool their whole body circulation down, all the blood.

0:11:09 > 0:11:11They're not angry at you, they're just hot.

0:11:11 > 0:11:15I'm impressed that they've got so many of these facts right.

0:11:15 > 0:11:19They know what they're doing. I feel like I'm in capable hands.

0:11:19 > 0:11:22So the game drive has had a promising start,

0:11:22 > 0:11:26with one of the big five safari animals already ticked off the list.

0:11:28 > 0:11:31And back in camp, Noma's feeling a lot better.

0:11:31 > 0:11:33The decision-making is getting painful.

0:11:33 > 0:11:36I'm just saying, if you put it as two tables,

0:11:36 > 0:11:39it just looks much neater and tidier.

0:11:39 > 0:11:43During their hospitality training, Tomas was on cooking duties,

0:11:43 > 0:11:46while Noma was in charge of setting up the tables.

0:11:46 > 0:11:50They'll be serving a three-course bush banquet for the guests

0:11:50 > 0:11:53but because both tablecloths are different,

0:11:53 > 0:11:57they can't agree on whether to have the tables together or separated.

0:11:57 > 0:11:58I don't think that looks nice.

0:11:58 > 0:12:01- Do you think that looks nice? - It does.- It doesn't!

0:12:01 > 0:12:04When it came to the table and the tablecloths,

0:12:04 > 0:12:06Tomas and I were still arguing

0:12:06 > 0:12:09which way should it be, and it took us such a long time to decide.

0:12:09 > 0:12:12And it seems that the tablecloths

0:12:12 > 0:12:14aren't the only thing up for discussion.

0:12:14 > 0:12:17Too much leaves. No-one wants leaves when they're eating.

0:12:17 > 0:12:19- That looks nice.- It doesn't.

0:12:19 > 0:12:21Everything I've done, you say you don't like.

0:12:21 > 0:12:23First it was the tablecloth.

0:12:23 > 0:12:25Then it's this.

0:12:25 > 0:12:28We're having a disagreement about flowers.

0:12:28 > 0:12:32She wanted to stick flowers all over the table.

0:12:32 > 0:12:37I'm not going to take these off. I think these complete the table.

0:12:37 > 0:12:39It puts people off eating

0:12:39 > 0:12:43cos there's flowers all over their plates and everything.

0:12:43 > 0:12:46Oh, that's lovely. I like that. That's really nice.

0:12:46 > 0:12:48Finally, something they agree on!

0:12:50 > 0:12:54..A walking safari leaves the guests on edge.

0:12:54 > 0:12:58I have to say that I was a bit scared. A bit.

0:12:58 > 0:13:01And Manya's leadership skills are tested to their limits.

0:13:01 > 0:13:05Just remember the rules of staying quiet and staying in single file.

0:13:11 > 0:13:14It's the first day of the Safari 8's final challenge,

0:13:14 > 0:13:18and back on the game drive, the tracking team

0:13:18 > 0:13:22think they might have found another one of the big five safari animals.

0:13:22 > 0:13:24There's the three-toe thing,

0:13:24 > 0:13:28and the W shape at the back, so I'd be guessing it's a white rhino.

0:13:28 > 0:13:31Fresh tracks could mean a rhino is nearby.

0:13:31 > 0:13:33Come and have a look, here, guys.

0:13:33 > 0:13:36And it's not just the tracks that are fresh.

0:13:36 > 0:13:37The team have found rhino dung too.

0:13:37 > 0:13:41- Feel that. Put your hand right on top of it.- It's still warm.

0:13:41 > 0:13:44Still body temperature, so the rhinos are not far.

0:13:44 > 0:13:47They should be quite close.

0:13:47 > 0:13:51While Rudi keeps an eye on the trackers,

0:13:51 > 0:13:56Frankie is monitoring how well the guides are entertaining the guests.

0:13:56 > 0:14:00That's the dung - poo - from the rhino.

0:14:00 > 0:14:02They've also spotted a pile of rhino poo,

0:14:02 > 0:14:05and Sifiso has seen an opportunity to shine.

0:14:05 > 0:14:08- We're in the territory of a rhino.- Right.

0:14:08 > 0:14:11- How do you know that? Because of this?- Yeah, yeah. It's a midden.

0:14:11 > 0:14:14Sifiso's impressive rhino presentation

0:14:14 > 0:14:16won him his guiding role in the team.

0:14:16 > 0:14:19You told a story, you didn't just give facts.

0:14:19 > 0:14:22He's bringing the same knowledge and enthusiasm

0:14:22 > 0:14:23to the final challenge.

0:14:23 > 0:14:27What's the difference between a white rhino and a black rhino?

0:14:27 > 0:14:30They're not black, they're not white, OK?

0:14:30 > 0:14:33The name "white" was taken from the Afrikaans "wijd",

0:14:33 > 0:14:34which means "wide".

0:14:34 > 0:14:36'I'm very surprised with Sifiso.'

0:14:36 > 0:14:41He impressed me. I think the guests we've got love him.

0:14:41 > 0:14:44I had to explain to them about the rhino.

0:14:44 > 0:14:47- So, it's kind of like their land? - Yes, their land.

0:14:47 > 0:14:51- I felt very proud. FRANKIE:- Well done, Sifiso!

0:14:51 > 0:14:55With the guests fully briefed on rhino, it's time to go and find one.

0:14:55 > 0:14:57Manya to Sifiso.

0:14:57 > 0:14:59- Yeah?- 'There's rhino tracks and they're fresh,'

0:14:59 > 0:15:02and we've also found the midden,

0:15:02 > 0:15:04'so that means he's still in the area.'

0:15:04 > 0:15:08- We'll track the rhino. Get everyone ready, all right?- Check.

0:15:10 > 0:15:12The midden there, it seems as if it's fresh

0:15:12 > 0:15:16so we're going to try to track the rhino.

0:15:16 > 0:15:18- Are we walking inside...?- The bush.

0:15:18 > 0:15:21- Is there a fence? - No, there's no fence.

0:15:21 > 0:15:24But when they finally catch up with the tracking team,

0:15:24 > 0:15:27Manya has some disappointing news.

0:15:27 > 0:15:30Guys, they couldn't find it. I'm sorry about that, guys,

0:15:30 > 0:15:34but I'm sure there'll be another opportunity to see one.

0:15:34 > 0:15:37We're going to take you guys down to the water,

0:15:37 > 0:15:39where we can see some buffalo...

0:15:39 > 0:15:43- Crocodiles?- Crocodiles, all of that.- Yeah, let's do it.

0:15:43 > 0:15:47Back in camp, and the earlier disagreements

0:15:47 > 0:15:51have put the hospitality team behind schedule.

0:15:51 > 0:15:55We started cleaning the tents, but we haven't finished that yet.

0:15:55 > 0:15:57We started with the toilet,

0:15:57 > 0:16:00but we haven't finished, because there were roots.

0:16:00 > 0:16:03- There's no way we can get there.- Yeah.

0:16:03 > 0:16:05What are we going to do, Noma?

0:16:05 > 0:16:08We still have to sort out what's going to go where,

0:16:08 > 0:16:10we have to start the food.

0:16:10 > 0:16:13We don't even know how much time we have.

0:16:20 > 0:16:23I think hospitality is the hardest role. It's really hard.

0:16:23 > 0:16:26You've got to make the whole camp perfect.

0:16:26 > 0:16:28- Perfect.- Yeah.

0:16:28 > 0:16:32And the radio is causing Tomas and Noma even more stress.

0:16:32 > 0:16:34Manya, Manya, for Tomas.

0:16:35 > 0:16:37Manya, Manya, for Tomas.

0:16:37 > 0:16:40'I'm starting to worry a bit now,'

0:16:40 > 0:16:42because we can't get in touch with Manya

0:16:42 > 0:16:45and we don't know if he's ten minutes away,

0:16:45 > 0:16:47half an hour or maybe two hours away,

0:16:47 > 0:16:49so we really need to have contact with him.

0:16:49 > 0:16:51There's a good reason Manya isn't answering,

0:16:51 > 0:16:55because he is preparing to lead a walking safari through the bush.

0:16:55 > 0:16:59Manya is responsible for the safety of his team and the guests,

0:16:59 > 0:17:03so he needs to make sure the whole group is fully briefed

0:17:03 > 0:17:05on all the necessary precautions.

0:17:05 > 0:17:09We're going try and find some animals that will be near the water.

0:17:09 > 0:17:12Stay in single file, and if anything happens,

0:17:12 > 0:17:15stay calm and listen to what Rudi and Frankie say.

0:17:15 > 0:17:17All right? So, let's get going.

0:17:21 > 0:17:25As the group head out into the bush, a sudden noise spooks them.

0:17:27 > 0:17:29LOW RUMBLING

0:17:34 > 0:17:38The walking safari, I have to say that I was a bit scared.

0:17:38 > 0:17:40A bit. Trust me, a bit - not that much.

0:17:40 > 0:17:43But it's between me and you, us. It's between us.

0:17:43 > 0:17:45It's a car.

0:17:48 > 0:17:51Although the noise they heard was just a vehicle,

0:17:51 > 0:17:53Andy and Bongi both seem a little on edge.

0:17:57 > 0:17:59A bush walk like this can seem a little daunting,

0:17:59 > 0:18:03but there are armed rangers at the front and the back of the group

0:18:03 > 0:18:04at all times for safety.

0:18:07 > 0:18:11When you come across an animal on foot, it makes it all worthwhile.

0:18:13 > 0:18:15(That is stunning.)

0:18:15 > 0:18:19(It's hard to get close because they're quite timid creatures

0:18:19 > 0:18:20(and they just normally run away

0:18:20 > 0:18:24(because they don't really want to get too close to us.)

0:18:24 > 0:18:26(It's just staring at us.

0:18:26 > 0:18:30(This is the closest I've ever been without being in a vehicle.

0:18:30 > 0:18:33(It's so much more personal, you know?)

0:18:33 > 0:18:38The Safari 8 have seen countless giraffes from the vehicle,

0:18:38 > 0:18:41but they've never had such a close encounter with one on foot.

0:18:46 > 0:18:48OK, guys, this is where the water was supposed to be.

0:18:48 > 0:18:53Rudi and Frankie did go and look for a watering hole for us.

0:18:53 > 0:18:56This is where the water was supposed to be.

0:18:56 > 0:18:58We're going to make our way back to the car,

0:18:58 > 0:19:02hopefully just keep our eyes open, see if we can see anything else.

0:19:06 > 0:19:11But as the group head back, some of the team fall behind.

0:19:11 > 0:19:15D'you know, we could actually have taken an easier path!

0:19:15 > 0:19:19All the Safari 8 know that the most important rules out in the bush

0:19:19 > 0:19:22are to keep quiet and keep together.

0:19:22 > 0:19:23ANDY LAUGHS

0:19:23 > 0:19:27That was a test, and you passed. Well done, young warrior!

0:19:27 > 0:19:31I learned, actually... I mean, they had fun with the guests at the back.

0:19:31 > 0:19:35I looked around a few times and I saw them throwing dung at each other

0:19:35 > 0:19:37and mucking about in the reeds.

0:19:37 > 0:19:39If it was my walk, I would have been furious.

0:19:39 > 0:19:42And when the team get back to the vehicle,

0:19:42 > 0:19:44head ranger Manya is not happy.

0:19:44 > 0:19:46You guys were talking and making jokes.

0:19:46 > 0:19:50You must stay single file and just remember the plain, simple rules

0:19:50 > 0:19:53of staying quiet and staying in single file.

0:19:53 > 0:19:56Even though Manya has reprimanded the group,

0:19:56 > 0:19:57Rudi is so annoyed that he steps in.

0:19:57 > 0:20:01You should be the one saying to the guests, "Manya says we can't talk."

0:20:01 > 0:20:04Why were you guys talking?

0:20:04 > 0:20:06This is dangerous out here.

0:20:06 > 0:20:10The Safari 8 should have listened to the rules a little bit better

0:20:10 > 0:20:13and actually hushed up a bit more.

0:20:13 > 0:20:15And Rudi's not just disappointed in the girls.

0:20:15 > 0:20:19Manya wasn't strict enough, cos it's dangerous out there.

0:20:19 > 0:20:22You need to be forceful and turn around and say, "Guys, shut up,"

0:20:22 > 0:20:24or something like that.

0:20:24 > 0:20:26Manya slipped up a bit there.

0:20:26 > 0:20:29Will this mistake have affected the team's chances

0:20:29 > 0:20:31of passing the final challenge?

0:20:31 > 0:20:35We have to work as a team and help Manya too, so we were very wrong.

0:20:39 > 0:20:42The Safari 8 are over halfway through

0:20:42 > 0:20:45the first day of their final challenge.

0:20:45 > 0:20:48As well as two giraffes and a family of elephants,

0:20:48 > 0:20:51they've also found impala and a herd of wildebeest,

0:20:51 > 0:20:54but with only one of the big five in the bag,

0:20:54 > 0:20:56there's still a lot of work to do.

0:20:56 > 0:20:59It's worrying that we've only seen one of the big five,

0:20:59 > 0:21:03but hopefully we're going to find a lot more in the next trek.

0:21:03 > 0:21:07But before they can carry on with their search,

0:21:07 > 0:21:11head ranger Manya needs to check on the hospitality team's progress.

0:21:11 > 0:21:14- Hi, Manya.- This looks amazing!

0:21:14 > 0:21:18Well done. 'I was absolutely amazed when I came into camp.'

0:21:18 > 0:21:22I really didn't expect them to do such a good job.

0:21:22 > 0:21:26If there were any arguments, this place wouldn't look how it is now.

0:21:26 > 0:21:31Little does Manya now! But he's not the only one who's impressed.

0:21:31 > 0:21:32RUDI: Camp looks excellent.

0:21:32 > 0:21:36I think they've done a much better job than the guys out in the field.

0:21:36 > 0:21:38Well done, Tom.

0:21:38 > 0:21:41- Noma, you, too.- High-five, Tomas? - That was brilliant.

0:21:41 > 0:21:44Just as things seem to be coming together beautifully,

0:21:44 > 0:21:47Caroline has come down with tick bite fever,

0:21:47 > 0:21:50so Manya has to swap the teams around again.

0:21:50 > 0:21:54What's going to happen is it's going to be Noma and Sifiso as guides,

0:21:54 > 0:21:56Kushal and Ella trackers.

0:21:56 > 0:21:59Tom and Ashleigh, finish up the place.

0:21:59 > 0:22:02So Ashleigh will be helping Tomas in hospitality

0:22:02 > 0:22:06and Noma will finally be taking her rightful place as a guide.

0:22:06 > 0:22:08I feel nervous and excited,

0:22:08 > 0:22:11because I have to go now and make my first impression,

0:22:11 > 0:22:13so I really am excited right now.

0:22:13 > 0:22:18But with just an hour left until the sun starts to set,

0:22:18 > 0:22:20the race is on to get the guests more sightings

0:22:20 > 0:22:24and possibly tick another one of the big five off the list.

0:22:24 > 0:22:25'Animal-wise, am I happy?'

0:22:25 > 0:22:30No, no. I really want to see a lion. I really want to see a rhino, please.

0:22:30 > 0:22:33'Noma, It's Manya here.'

0:22:33 > 0:22:36There's a few zebras. We're in a nice view.

0:22:37 > 0:22:39BONGI: Is this a donkey or a horse?

0:22:39 > 0:22:41- NOMA:- This is a painted donkey.

0:22:42 > 0:22:43'How was the sighting?'

0:22:43 > 0:22:49'The guest took beautiful pictures and we're right behind you.'

0:22:49 > 0:22:52- Right there, see it? - 'There's a crocodile in the water.'

0:22:52 > 0:22:57- Wow.- That is big! - I can see the hippo's head.

0:22:57 > 0:23:01The hippo is very sensitive and loves the water.

0:23:01 > 0:23:03This is what they call home.

0:23:03 > 0:23:06So, they've had some impressive sightings

0:23:06 > 0:23:08but are no closer to completing the big five.

0:23:08 > 0:23:12And then, just as the group start heading back to camp...

0:23:12 > 0:23:15- What's that there?!- Ahh!

0:23:18 > 0:23:20It may not increase their big five score,

0:23:20 > 0:23:23but this is a spectacular find for the trackers.

0:23:25 > 0:23:28But back in camp, the hospitality team are struggling

0:23:28 > 0:23:32and the all-important bush banquet is far from ready.

0:23:32 > 0:23:35Manya, Manya, come in from Tom, come in.

0:23:35 > 0:23:36Trying to contact Manya

0:23:36 > 0:23:40to try and delay them for an extra half-hour,

0:23:40 > 0:23:43but we can't get in touch, so we're starting to worry.

0:23:43 > 0:23:45Caroline's feeling a lot better,

0:23:45 > 0:23:49so it's all hands on deck to get the food ready.

0:23:49 > 0:23:50'Hello, Manya.'

0:23:50 > 0:23:56- Is it possible we could have more time?- 'More time?

0:23:56 > 0:23:57'No, actually, there isn't.

0:23:57 > 0:23:59'We're nearly back at the camp.'

0:23:59 > 0:24:03The problem is, we don't have time, OK!

0:24:03 > 0:24:06The food's not ready and there's 12 hungry people,

0:24:06 > 0:24:08and Manya can't delay any more time.

0:24:08 > 0:24:10And I really need work!

0:24:10 > 0:24:13And it's too late, because time's up.

0:24:13 > 0:24:14Uh-oh!

0:24:14 > 0:24:18- Tom, what's going on?- We didn't have enough time to do the food,

0:24:18 > 0:24:20but we've handled it quite good.

0:24:20 > 0:24:24- They're too soft. - Are the beds all done?

0:24:24 > 0:24:27- Are the guests ready to go in and sleep if they want to?- Yeah.

0:24:27 > 0:24:30So, in a bid to buy Ashleigh more time,

0:24:30 > 0:24:32Manya puts Tomas on guest-distracting duty.

0:24:32 > 0:24:35- Did you enjoy your trip? - Tomas, great trip.

0:24:35 > 0:24:39- Head ranger? - Ashleigh needs some help, guys.

0:24:39 > 0:24:44- That's mine!- Look at that - nice little African motif duvet!

0:24:44 > 0:24:47- You got any salt and pepper? - Yeah, of course.

0:24:47 > 0:24:50This is a very good experience of a safari!

0:24:50 > 0:24:51They're happy with their beds,

0:24:51 > 0:24:54but what about the rhino bone toilet seat?

0:24:54 > 0:24:58- So, do I just do it and then just bury it?- Yeah.

0:24:58 > 0:25:00- Is it simple as that?- Yeah.

0:25:00 > 0:25:03So, Tomas has kept the guests entertained long enough

0:25:03 > 0:25:05for all the food to be finished.

0:25:05 > 0:25:07HE STRAINS

0:25:07 > 0:25:12But his job as host with the most is far from over.

0:25:16 > 0:25:18Did you guys make this yourselves?

0:25:18 > 0:25:21- Yep.- Well done, eh, Tomas? That was really good.

0:25:21 > 0:25:26I know guys your age that wouldn't even know what to do with this.

0:25:26 > 0:25:28What a day! Spotting elephants, giraffes.

0:25:28 > 0:25:31It's just been such a brilliant day.

0:25:31 > 0:25:35And then finishing off with some good grub, bit of corn on the cob,

0:25:35 > 0:25:39some hot dogs... Honestly, this has been such a fantastic day.

0:25:39 > 0:25:44- Marinade is my speciality.- 'I just think tonight was brilliant.'

0:25:44 > 0:25:48I mean, Tomas, I think, is in his element.

0:25:48 > 0:25:50LAUGHTER

0:25:50 > 0:25:57The hospitality was amazing, that I have to say. They did an amazing job.

0:25:57 > 0:26:00So, the cuisine has got the guests' thumbs-up,

0:26:00 > 0:26:02but the night isn't over yet.

0:26:02 > 0:26:03Hello!

0:26:03 > 0:26:05Come now!

0:26:05 > 0:26:09- Come now.- Guys, sorry about this. We're going to have to be excused.

0:26:09 > 0:26:11- No, it's cool. - We'll be back shortly.

0:26:17 > 0:26:21As the sun sets on the first day of the final challenge,

0:26:21 > 0:26:23there's one more surprise in store.

0:26:23 > 0:26:26Are you ready?!

0:26:26 > 0:26:28Yeah, I think so.

0:26:31 > 0:26:33To go the extra mile for their guests,

0:26:33 > 0:26:36the Safari 8 are showing off the dancing skills

0:26:36 > 0:26:38they learnt at the Zulu village.

0:26:38 > 0:26:40And now for their secret weapon...

0:26:40 > 0:26:43SAFARI 8 CHEER

0:26:43 > 0:26:45Tomas!

0:26:49 > 0:26:56I think our Zulu dance was really good, because we had Tomas.

0:26:56 > 0:26:59CHEERING

0:26:59 > 0:27:01'Tomas...'

0:27:01 > 0:27:05Tomas... Tomas is an entertainer. Everybody's been talking about him.

0:27:06 > 0:27:10'Seeing Tomas dancing was really funny, enjoyed it.'

0:27:10 > 0:27:11Everything was fantastic.

0:27:11 > 0:27:14I've never laughed so much in my life.

0:27:14 > 0:27:16That was genius, absolute genius.

0:27:16 > 0:27:18'The great thing about today'

0:27:18 > 0:27:22is that we've been made to feel completely welcome,

0:27:22 > 0:27:26and that's all any ranger or guide can give to any guest.

0:27:26 > 0:27:28The evening was a triumph

0:27:28 > 0:27:30and the guests have high hopes for tomorrow.

0:27:30 > 0:27:33'Will we see the rest of the big five tomorrow?'

0:27:33 > 0:27:37I think we will. I'm hopeful, I'm hopeful, yeah.

0:27:37 > 0:27:40'I'm very confident tomorrow could be the day

0:27:40 > 0:27:42'where I see a lion or another one of the big five.'

0:27:42 > 0:27:47I might go to bed a happy man and dream of this tomorrow, honestly.

0:27:49 > 0:27:52Next time on Safari 8...

0:27:52 > 0:27:55It's a race against the clock to find the rest of the big five.

0:27:55 > 0:27:58I'll tell the guests to get their cameras ready.

0:27:58 > 0:28:01Rudi and Frankie have tough decisions to make.

0:28:01 > 0:28:04I don't know if they did well enough. ..Training's done.

0:28:04 > 0:28:07- And it's time to say goodbye. - Are you going to cry?- No.
