0:00:02 > 0:00:04- It's Splat time! - Welcome to a Splatalot Special,

0:00:04 > 0:00:07where we invite five pairs of brave young warrior twins

0:00:07 > 0:00:09to go head to head with those despicable Defenders,

0:00:09 > 0:00:12as they compete to capture much-prized Splatalot crown.

0:00:12 > 0:00:14I'm seeing double!

0:00:14 > 0:00:17Can the Defenders succeed in keeping the castle safe?

0:00:17 > 0:00:19Or will the attackers overcome every hurdle,

0:00:19 > 0:00:22and find a true champion to rule this fine and messy kingdom?

0:00:22 > 0:00:23So which twins will tumble?

0:00:23 > 0:00:24Which twins will tilt?

0:00:24 > 0:00:26Which twins will teeter?

0:00:26 > 0:00:28And which twins will go... Splat!

0:00:31 > 0:00:33Hello, we're Dick, they're Dom.

0:00:33 > 0:00:36And this is the Splatalot Twins Splatdown.

0:00:36 > 0:00:38Right, clear off you two.

0:00:40 > 0:00:42As it's a Splatalot twin special,

0:00:42 > 0:00:46the kingdom thought it would be fun to give us a lookalike each,

0:00:46 > 0:00:48but personally I don't see the resemblance.

0:00:48 > 0:00:50They don't even sound like us.

0:00:50 > 0:00:53But today the kingdom will be playing host to five genuine

0:00:53 > 0:00:57pairs of twins, all of whom dream of becoming the new ruler.

0:00:57 > 0:00:59Those twins will be facing three very different,

0:00:59 > 0:01:02but equally demanding challenges.

0:01:02 > 0:01:03Round one is The Moat Challenge,

0:01:03 > 0:01:06where only the fastest three pairs will survive.

0:01:06 > 0:01:08Round two is Ditch The Dungeon, where we lose another pair.

0:01:08 > 0:01:10That leaves the final, Capture The Crown,

0:01:10 > 0:01:13where one pair will emerge victorious.

0:01:13 > 0:01:15Hang on, but there's only one crown.

0:01:15 > 0:01:17Isn't it every twin for themselves in the final?

0:01:17 > 0:01:21No. Throughout the whole tournament, both twins have to work together

0:01:21 > 0:01:24and qualify together, and the final's no different.

0:01:24 > 0:01:26So, at the end of today, Splatalot will have two rulers.

0:01:26 > 0:01:29Interesting, but one step at a time.

0:01:29 > 0:01:32Let's check out round one in more detail.

0:01:32 > 0:01:35The twins start by being hurled, one at a time, out of the splatapult.

0:01:35 > 0:01:38Then it's up the slippery slope, across the rolling mace,

0:01:38 > 0:01:41and down the impossible incline, but beware the dreaded splacken!

0:01:41 > 0:01:43If they survive that, the battle axes are next,

0:01:43 > 0:01:45followed by a stroll across the bridge of disaster.

0:01:45 > 0:01:47And finally the wavering warhead

0:01:47 > 0:01:49leads both of them to the finish line.

0:01:49 > 0:01:51So those are the obstacles standing in the way of our twin

0:01:51 > 0:01:53attackers, and potential glory.

0:01:53 > 0:01:56- But they're not the only obstacles. - Far from it.

0:01:56 > 0:01:59Our young hopefuls also have to contend with this lot -

0:01:59 > 0:02:00the Defenders!

0:02:00 > 0:02:03There are six of them altogether, but the trio defending the moat will be:

0:02:03 > 0:02:04Madeva!

0:02:04 > 0:02:08Followed by the brash and overbearing barbarian Skabb.

0:02:08 > 0:02:10And finally we have the mean and moody Thorne.

0:02:10 > 0:02:13- I'm going to call my twin. - I'm going to call my twin.

0:02:13 > 0:02:15Hey, fellas, where you at?

0:02:15 > 0:02:17Has everybody got a twin here?!

0:02:17 > 0:02:19Down on the course, Madeva's on splatzuka,

0:02:19 > 0:02:21Skabb's above the axes, and to keep him happy...

0:02:21 > 0:02:23Here's Thorny!

0:02:23 > 0:02:24Let's meet the twins!

0:02:24 > 0:02:25- BOTH:- I love sugar!

0:02:25 > 0:02:29Ah, that's sweet. Steph goes first, and yakisoba!

0:02:29 > 0:02:30She's soon onto the slippery slope.

0:02:30 > 0:02:34Oops! But now here comes her sister Jillian. Double yakisoba!

0:02:34 > 0:02:37Wow, I see double! Ha-ha, yeah!

0:02:37 > 0:02:40Stephanie, Jillian, Steph, Jillian?

0:02:40 > 0:02:41Stephanie.

0:02:41 > 0:02:43How can you tell which is which?

0:02:43 > 0:02:45Good point, Skabb. How can we tell them apart?

0:02:45 > 0:02:47Well, Stephanie's splatting in the blue,

0:02:47 > 0:02:49- and, er, so is Jillian...- Great.

0:02:49 > 0:02:52They identical splatters, child!

0:02:52 > 0:02:55Well, in her own mangled way, Madeva's right.

0:02:55 > 0:02:57They dress alike, and splat alike.

0:02:57 > 0:02:59Jillian's now at the impossible incline.

0:02:59 > 0:03:00Down she goes and Prince Mishkin!

0:03:00 > 0:03:02Will Steph do the same?

0:03:02 > 0:03:03- DICK AND DOM:- Splacken!

0:03:03 > 0:03:05It was quite a way to find out,

0:03:05 > 0:03:08but we can now confirm that twins don't do everything

0:03:08 > 0:03:09the same way after all.

0:03:09 > 0:03:12Stephanie leads the way over the battle axes, and she's over.

0:03:12 > 0:03:14Can Jillian do the same? No. Lobster lover!

0:03:14 > 0:03:18Pretty stylish, but at the end of the day it's still a splat.

0:03:18 > 0:03:21All work and no splats make Thorne a dull boy.

0:03:21 > 0:03:23Don't blame the splats, Thorne, you're always dull.

0:03:23 > 0:03:26Jillian tries the bridge, and trotty leg panic!

0:03:26 > 0:03:29Steph has a go now, and it's a double trotty leg panic!

0:03:29 > 0:03:31So they're nearly at the finish line.

0:03:31 > 0:03:33Jillian tries the warhead first.

0:03:33 > 0:03:36She hangs on, despite Thorne's aqualiser, and scrambles across!

0:03:36 > 0:03:37Steph's turn now.

0:03:37 > 0:03:40It's a similar start, but she slips and then splats.

0:03:40 > 0:03:41That won't help their time.

0:03:41 > 0:03:45Nothing can help their time. 18:41 - well into double figures!

0:03:45 > 0:03:47- BOTH:- I'm the better looking twin!

0:03:47 > 0:03:50Oh, dear, here's more double trouble. Now, I think this is Sarah.

0:03:50 > 0:03:52I call this one purple twin,

0:03:52 > 0:03:55and I call the other one purpler twin.

0:03:55 > 0:03:58Thanks, Skabb! Let's take one twin at a time. Here's Sarah again.

0:03:58 > 0:03:59Chochee wom wom!

0:03:59 > 0:04:02And she comes a cropper on our own identical twins!

0:04:02 > 0:04:04You know it's hard to tell the axes apart, too!

0:04:04 > 0:04:06The one on the left's called Betty.

0:04:06 > 0:04:08Sarah takes on the bridge, but it's wet underfoot.

0:04:08 > 0:04:11Thanks mainly to our slippery friend, Thorne. Her grip is gone.

0:04:11 > 0:04:14Let's see what sister Steph is up to. Chamama wobbles!

0:04:14 > 0:04:17Well, she steps past Betty, but can't make it past Bertha.

0:04:17 > 0:04:19- What?- Betty and Bertha, the battle axes.

0:04:19 > 0:04:22Ah! Steph and Sarah both finish, but it's another slow round.

0:04:22 > 0:04:26It seems if you double the attackers, you double the time too.

0:04:26 > 0:04:27- BOTH:- Wanna be in our wolf pack?

0:04:27 > 0:04:28Let's meet Rane and Jared.

0:04:28 > 0:04:31Rane first. Ooh, beg pardon!

0:04:31 > 0:04:34Rane, Rane, go away, splat again another day!

0:04:34 > 0:04:37I'm sure Rane's never heard that one before, Madeva!

0:04:37 > 0:04:39Here's Jared. Double ooh, beg pardon!

0:04:39 > 0:04:43- Rane waits for his brother.- Double your pleasure, double your fun!

0:04:43 > 0:04:44Madeva singles out Rane.

0:04:44 > 0:04:47Good job she hasn't got a double-barrelled splatzuka!

0:04:47 > 0:04:48Rane tries the mace, but he's down!

0:04:48 > 0:04:51I think he was slightly distracted by the splacken.

0:04:51 > 0:04:54- Let me ask you. How do I look? - Beautiful!

0:04:54 > 0:04:58Ah! Let them in, let them in. Let them get the crown.

0:04:58 > 0:05:01Skabb gives Jared a free pass, but the mace roll has other plans!

0:05:01 > 0:05:04And he splats in exactly the same place as his twin brother.

0:05:04 > 0:05:07Here's Rane looking focussed on the incline. Look out...

0:05:07 > 0:05:09- DICK AND DOM:- Splacken! - He never saw it coming.

0:05:09 > 0:05:12Yes, but why didn't Jared warn him? Isn't that what brothers are for?

0:05:12 > 0:05:15No, I think most brothers would have done the same thing.

0:05:15 > 0:05:18Well, here he is on the incline and... Chipping Sodbury!

0:05:18 > 0:05:21Now, you can just see Rane looking on as Jared splats.

0:05:21 > 0:05:23So in terms of brotherly love, I think that evens it up.

0:05:23 > 0:05:26Thorne is a one man wolfpack.

0:05:26 > 0:05:29I am the alpha, I am the omega, and I am the Thorne!

0:05:29 > 0:05:32Wow! I think Thorne just shouted Rane into the moat.

0:05:32 > 0:05:33Well, it was some outburst,

0:05:33 > 0:05:36along with a heavy shower from the aqualiser.

0:05:36 > 0:05:37I suppose a Rane-drop was inevitable!

0:05:37 > 0:05:39Jared first on the wavering warhead.

0:05:39 > 0:05:41He's over but then slides into the mang.

0:05:41 > 0:05:45It was a good start, then he lost his grip, and the only way was down.

0:05:45 > 0:05:48But that time will lift them back up, as it's the fastest so far.

0:05:48 > 0:05:51You'll be sorry when my twin brother Fabb gets here!

0:05:51 > 0:05:52Oh, I forgot he said he had a twin.

0:05:52 > 0:05:55If they're anything like Skabb, they won't be forgettable!

0:05:55 > 0:05:57Let's take a look at the leaderboard.

0:05:57 > 0:06:00Rane and Jared are in first place, followed by Steph and Sarah,

0:06:00 > 0:06:01then Steph and Jillian.

0:06:01 > 0:06:03So three pairs of twin attackers

0:06:03 > 0:06:05have attempted this ever so tricky course.

0:06:05 > 0:06:07Which means we have two pairs left.

0:06:07 > 0:06:10Yes, the splat one, splat one free special offer is still available,

0:06:10 > 0:06:12so hurry down to Splatalot!

0:06:14 > 0:06:18So at the halfway stage in the moat challenge, we can safely say that...

0:06:18 > 0:06:20Oi! What are you two up to?

0:06:20 > 0:06:23Honestly, you'd have thought the body double agency

0:06:23 > 0:06:25could have found someone slimmer for me!

0:06:25 > 0:06:28And mine's tiny. I don't know what they were thinking.

0:06:28 > 0:06:30Anyway, back to the tournament.

0:06:30 > 0:06:33As my very ugly double was saying, at the halfway stage,

0:06:33 > 0:06:35we can say for certain that our current leaders

0:06:35 > 0:06:37are through to the next round.

0:06:37 > 0:06:39Yes, three pairs of twins qualify,

0:06:39 > 0:06:40so with only two more pairs to come,

0:06:40 > 0:06:43our first half leaders are automatically safe.

0:06:43 > 0:06:46So let's check the leaderboard again to confirm who that is.

0:06:46 > 0:06:47It's Rane and Jared!

0:06:47 > 0:06:50They're safe, but our two pairs of twin sisters are not -

0:06:50 > 0:06:52- Steph and Jillian in particular. - This might sound odd,

0:06:52 > 0:06:55but I'm quite looking forward to meeting the Defenders' twins later.

0:06:55 > 0:06:58Back now to the twins who really matter.

0:06:58 > 0:06:59- BOTH:- We are double trouble!

0:06:59 > 0:07:03Here's Marwa, who's five minutes older than her sister Elham.

0:07:03 > 0:07:04Five minutes can make all the difference,

0:07:04 > 0:07:06especially when you're against the clock.

0:07:06 > 0:07:09She stumbles on the slope, but soon recovers.

0:07:09 > 0:07:11- Hey, girl!- Hey!

0:07:11 > 0:07:14You're going to be sorry when my twin brother Scorn gets here!

0:07:14 > 0:07:16Scorn? What a lovely name!

0:07:16 > 0:07:18Back to Elham in the splatapult.

0:07:18 > 0:07:20Her technique is identical to Marwa's.

0:07:20 > 0:07:22- So which one is which? - That's Marwa, on the left.

0:07:22 > 0:07:24- You sure?- No, wait a minute, Elham's on the left. No...

0:07:24 > 0:07:26It doesn't matter, they're both great.

0:07:26 > 0:07:29Oh, dear, now I'm confused. Who's that?

0:07:29 > 0:07:31- Splacken.- Who? - Splacken!- Oh, I see!

0:07:31 > 0:07:32Yes, whichever twin she may be,

0:07:32 > 0:07:35she's now on first name terms with the splacken!

0:07:35 > 0:07:38Hmm, I'm not 100% sure that's a good thing.

0:07:38 > 0:07:41She was like, "I made it!" And then she was like, "Boom!"

0:07:41 > 0:07:43And then I was like, "Ha-ha-ha-ha!"

0:07:43 > 0:07:46Brilliant commentary, Skabb. Oh, ram jam big jobs!

0:07:46 > 0:07:47Now, I'm pretty sure that was Elham.

0:07:47 > 0:07:50- How sure exactly? - Well, I am exactly 50% sure.

0:07:50 > 0:07:52That's all right then.

0:07:52 > 0:07:54For a minute there, I thought you were just guessing.

0:07:54 > 0:07:57Oh, dear, this doesn't look good. Look out Elham, it's...

0:07:57 > 0:07:58- DICK AND DOM:- The splacken!

0:07:58 > 0:08:01OK, do you think you can tell them apart this time?

0:08:01 > 0:08:03OK, I would say that on the left we have Marwa,

0:08:03 > 0:08:05and on the right we've got Elham.

0:08:05 > 0:08:07Wrong, Elham's on the left, and Marwa's on the right.

0:08:07 > 0:08:09- How do you know? - I asked one of them.

0:08:09 > 0:08:11- Which one?- No idea.

0:08:11 > 0:08:13At the axes now. Twockles!

0:08:13 > 0:08:15Well, before either of them could set foot on the axe,

0:08:15 > 0:08:18the waterblast did what the waterblast does best.

0:08:18 > 0:08:20I'm still not sure who just got splatted, though.

0:08:20 > 0:08:22Well, whoever it was, here's the other one.

0:08:22 > 0:08:24Steady, steady.

0:08:24 > 0:08:26Oh, yes, that's much better.

0:08:26 > 0:08:28Hang on, what are the Defenders up to?

0:08:28 > 0:08:32They need to wake up because Marwa and Elham are both over the axes.

0:08:32 > 0:08:34Oh, but they're slipping and... blubber houses!

0:08:34 > 0:08:37Sometimes this course does the Defenders' work for them.

0:08:37 > 0:08:39But on this occasion our double trouble twins

0:08:39 > 0:08:41contributed to their own downfall.

0:08:41 > 0:08:43Yes, two heads aren't always better than one.

0:08:43 > 0:08:46Are you defending? Then why did you throw your sister in the moat?

0:08:46 > 0:08:48We may never know, because Marwa and Elham

0:08:48 > 0:08:51are too busy celebrating the fastest time today!

0:08:51 > 0:08:53- BOTH:- Wonder Twin Power - activate!

0:08:53 > 0:08:56Here's our final pair of twins - Aunna and James.

0:08:56 > 0:08:58Watch this, want to see a magic trick?

0:08:58 > 0:09:02I'm going to make James fall in. Three, two, one. Here we go.

0:09:02 > 0:09:04- Amazing!- Simple magic tricks.

0:09:04 > 0:09:06Dom, tell me how he did that.

0:09:06 > 0:09:08I couldn't possibly reveal such a secret.

0:09:08 > 0:09:10- The magicians' code? - No, just being mean.

0:09:10 > 0:09:13OK, let's see if sister Aunna can do any better.

0:09:13 > 0:09:14No, bing bobby whop-whops!

0:09:14 > 0:09:16No trickery from Skabb this time,

0:09:16 > 0:09:18just a plain and simple splat in the moat,

0:09:18 > 0:09:20which is still magical in its own sweet way.

0:09:20 > 0:09:24- Oh no, look what's coming!- James has seen it, but can do nothing about...

0:09:24 > 0:09:26The splacken!

0:09:26 > 0:09:29That was the splat of the day right there, Skabb!

0:09:29 > 0:09:31I hate to agree, but she might be right.

0:09:31 > 0:09:33It certainly has all the ingredients.

0:09:33 > 0:09:35The splacken nudges James, then Aunna trips him

0:09:35 > 0:09:38- and sends him cartwheeling into the moat.- On top of that,

0:09:38 > 0:09:40he knew it was coming, but could do nothing about it.

0:09:40 > 0:09:42But Aunna didn't have a clue.

0:09:42 > 0:09:44Put it all together and you have a fantastic splat.

0:09:44 > 0:09:48Aunna takes on the incline. Crumple burger! And the incline wins!

0:09:48 > 0:09:50This time she's fully aware of what she's doing -

0:09:50 > 0:09:52losing control, and splatting wonderfully.

0:09:52 > 0:09:56We're really being treated to some top class splatting today.

0:09:56 > 0:09:58Aunna takes on the axes. Trickle box!

0:09:58 > 0:10:02To paraphrase a well-known saying, she who hesitates is splatted.

0:10:02 > 0:10:05- Stay on your feet. On your feet. - That's not your feet!

0:10:05 > 0:10:06Well, I think James would if he could.

0:10:06 > 0:10:08Yes, every splat in the moat costs valuable time.

0:10:08 > 0:10:10But the twins finish in 14:05,

0:10:10 > 0:10:13and that's good enough to see Aunna and James into the next round!

0:10:13 > 0:10:16You're both going to be sorry when my sister gets here.

0:10:16 > 0:10:19Really looking forward to that, Medeva.

0:10:19 > 0:10:21And looking forward to round two are Marwa and Elham,

0:10:21 > 0:10:23Rane and Jared, and Aunna and James.

0:10:23 > 0:10:26So round one is complete. We've pared down the pairs to three.

0:10:26 > 0:10:29And in the next round, we'll reduce it further to two.

0:10:29 > 0:10:31Yes, our twins are splatting for survival,

0:10:31 > 0:10:34as they all go head to head, to head to head, to head to head.

0:10:37 > 0:10:39So, the tournament is hotting up,

0:10:39 > 0:10:41plus we've still got the Defenders' twins to look forward to!

0:10:41 > 0:10:44It'll be great to see if we can spot the difference.

0:10:44 > 0:10:45What if they're identical?

0:10:45 > 0:10:46Don't be so twin-ist.

0:10:46 > 0:10:49Identical twins have still got their own personalities.

0:10:49 > 0:10:51You've just got to look for the tiny details.

0:10:51 > 0:10:54I reckon if I spent even ten seconds with those twin attackers,

0:10:54 > 0:10:57I'd be able to tell them apart from each other.

0:10:57 > 0:10:59It's as easy as telling you apart from your body double.

0:10:59 > 0:11:01Really. See, I told you!

0:11:01 > 0:11:05Oh, dear - very disappointing! How long have we been pals?

0:11:05 > 0:11:07All the things we've been through together,

0:11:07 > 0:11:10and you couldn't even spot the difference!

0:11:10 > 0:11:11Back to the tournament,

0:11:11 > 0:11:14and a quick reminder of the twins who want to win.

0:11:14 > 0:11:17Through to round two are Rane and Jared, Marwa and Elham,

0:11:17 > 0:11:19and Aunna and James.

0:11:19 > 0:11:23Look, mate, I don't know what to say. I'm really sorry.

0:11:23 > 0:11:26Don't apologise to me, I really am the body double.

0:11:26 > 0:11:28BOTH: Ah! Gotcha!

0:11:29 > 0:11:33Now I'm really confused! Can we get back to the course, please?

0:11:33 > 0:11:35Thank you! OK, to Ditch the Dungeon.

0:11:35 > 0:11:38They must escape the stockmarket, cross the splatwalk,

0:11:38 > 0:11:39then climb the loathsome ladder.

0:11:39 > 0:11:42At the top are two flags for two pairs of twins,

0:11:42 > 0:11:44So one pair will be going home,

0:11:44 > 0:11:47but rest assured all of them will be pelted along the way.

0:11:47 > 0:11:49OK, so are you you?

0:11:49 > 0:11:50Who else would I be?!

0:11:50 > 0:11:52And are the Defenders still the Defenders?

0:11:52 > 0:11:55Yes, although remember in round two, we bring in three fresh ones.

0:11:55 > 0:11:57- First it's...- Kookaburra!

0:11:57 > 0:11:59He likes to chew the fat with the attackers.

0:11:59 > 0:12:01Then it's Vane - he likes to chew on fatty foods.

0:12:01 > 0:12:05And finally, Faetal - she likes to chat, but prefers to splat.

0:12:05 > 0:12:07- Agility!- Strength!

0:12:07 > 0:12:08And...ow!

0:12:08 > 0:12:10Is Vane naturally clumsy, or does he have to work at it?

0:12:10 > 0:12:14Down in the stockmarket we have Rane and a sleepy Jared in orange,

0:12:14 > 0:12:17Marwa and Elham in red, and James and Aunna in yellow.

0:12:17 > 0:12:19Kook's on the pokey pike, Vane's at the top,

0:12:19 > 0:12:21and Faetal starts on the slime stick.

0:12:21 > 0:12:23And they're off!

0:12:23 > 0:12:24Slightly different rules today -

0:12:24 > 0:12:27each pair of twins is working as a team, and both of them

0:12:27 > 0:12:29have to cross the finish line before claiming the flags.

0:12:29 > 0:12:32- I'm seeing double! - Come on, Faetal, keep up!

0:12:32 > 0:12:35You guys have to share everything, right? Share some foam.

0:12:35 > 0:12:36But we can't tell them apart!

0:12:36 > 0:12:39Guys, spread the mayo evenly, it's going to be a big sandwich -

0:12:39 > 0:12:41- we got double the meat here. - More food for thought from Vane.

0:12:41 > 0:12:43Double down. Here we go, two at a time.

0:12:43 > 0:12:45Now, who just got splatted?

0:12:45 > 0:12:47Don't worry, I've got him!

0:12:47 > 0:12:49This foam really isn't helping.

0:12:49 > 0:12:52We might as well have six identical twins out there!

0:12:52 > 0:12:55Oh, Vane's weapon has come apart, and Marwa, or possibly Elham,

0:12:55 > 0:12:57is using it as a sledge!

0:12:57 > 0:12:58Way to go, dude, you broke my axe!

0:12:58 > 0:12:59I think it was an accident,

0:12:59 > 0:13:03but that could really help the attackers later on in this round.

0:13:03 > 0:13:05They've got to get up this ladder first.

0:13:05 > 0:13:09Stop communicating to each other mentally. I can feel your waves!

0:13:09 > 0:13:11It's pretty clear what Vane's thinking too -

0:13:11 > 0:13:14he cruelly gives James a nudge, he slides into the red twins,

0:13:14 > 0:13:16and they all end up in the plootles.

0:13:16 > 0:13:19In fact the replay shows that he just nudges his twin sister too,

0:13:19 > 0:13:22so that splat managed to take out the reds and the yellows.

0:13:22 > 0:13:24Let me introduce you to my little friends!

0:13:24 > 0:13:26Look, Kook's got twins of his own!

0:13:26 > 0:13:29No such frills from Vane. Cinnamon mutation!

0:13:29 > 0:13:31And Jared heads down the ladder for a nice foamy bath.

0:13:31 > 0:13:34Which one of you is the evil one?

0:13:34 > 0:13:36- I am!- Aim for the evil one!

0:13:36 > 0:13:37Shame on you, Kook.

0:13:37 > 0:13:39If you had a twin YOU'D be the evil one!

0:13:39 > 0:13:42And once again Elham and Marwa take a trip to the milky brew.

0:13:42 > 0:13:46Isn't it nice how they do absolutely everything together - even splatting!

0:13:46 > 0:13:47Oh-oh!

0:13:47 > 0:13:49- Faetal, look out behind you! - SHE SCREAMS

0:13:49 > 0:13:50It's the ball of doom!

0:13:50 > 0:13:53- Wait a second... - It's the twin balls of doom!

0:13:54 > 0:13:57- There were twins! - Twin balls of doom!

0:13:57 > 0:14:00And it looks like a red twin got run over by both of them!

0:14:00 > 0:14:02Kook's up to no good with the pokey pike,

0:14:02 > 0:14:04and he dislodges either Rane or Jared.

0:14:04 > 0:14:07And guess what - Elham and Marwa are down too!

0:14:07 > 0:14:09It all starts with a pathetic poke from Kookaburra.

0:14:09 > 0:14:11One of the orange twins grabs the leg of a red twin,

0:14:11 > 0:14:14and eventually they take out the yellow twins too.

0:14:14 > 0:14:15How colourful!

0:14:15 > 0:14:20I've got some beautiful twins up here! Two bouncing baby boys!

0:14:20 > 0:14:22Release the twins!

0:14:22 > 0:14:23Not more double trouble doom balls!

0:14:23 > 0:14:26Yes, but the terrible twins aren't as effective

0:14:26 > 0:14:29second time round - the attackers seem to have got the hang of them.

0:14:29 > 0:14:32Kook's up to no good again with the pokey pike. He targets Marwa.

0:14:32 > 0:14:34- I think it's Elham. - And they slide into James.

0:14:34 > 0:14:37- I think it's Aunna. - Well, whoever it is in yellow,

0:14:37 > 0:14:39isn't exactly head over heels about it.

0:14:39 > 0:14:41The attackers close in on Vane.

0:14:41 > 0:14:44Remember, all he has to defend with now is a big stick.

0:14:44 > 0:14:46But Kook's still prodding from the side.

0:14:46 > 0:14:49That leads to an attacker from each team taking a long slippy slide.

0:14:49 > 0:14:51I always wanted a sister.

0:14:51 > 0:14:53Someone exactly like me, but I thought about it,

0:14:53 > 0:14:56and I don't know if the world can handle two Faetals.

0:14:56 > 0:14:58Believe me, one Faetal is more than enough.

0:14:58 > 0:15:02Oh, here's another superb slip and slide from the orange and red teams.

0:15:02 > 0:15:04Yes, they were in synch all the way down,

0:15:04 > 0:15:07then branched off either side of the splatwalk. Lovely stuff.

0:15:07 > 0:15:10Kook takes aim, and the splat-cam reveals that he's just splatted...

0:15:10 > 0:15:12- Oh, I still don't know! - Faetal's still frothing,

0:15:12 > 0:15:15and she sends Rane or Jared back into the swampo.

0:15:15 > 0:15:17But the other twin's still up there.

0:15:17 > 0:15:19This could get sticky for Vane, but he sticks it out,

0:15:19 > 0:15:21and both orange twins are back in the bilge.

0:15:21 > 0:15:23We've seen some great defending today.

0:15:23 > 0:15:25- Bye, guys!- What?- I'm hungry!

0:15:25 > 0:15:27You were saying how great the defending was?

0:15:27 > 0:15:30Deserting his post for some dessert? That's unforgivable!

0:15:30 > 0:15:34And he's paid the price. A red twin is over, followed by an orange twin.

0:15:34 > 0:15:36Remember, both team members have to make it to go through.

0:15:36 > 0:15:38A yellow twin's there too.

0:15:38 > 0:15:40But the first team to finish are the reds -

0:15:40 > 0:15:42Marwa and Elham are in the final!

0:15:42 > 0:15:44It looks like the orange team will be next.

0:15:44 > 0:15:46Yes, well done to Jared and Rane!

0:15:46 > 0:15:47So round two is complete.

0:15:47 > 0:15:50James and Aunna also made it, but they won't be joining in

0:15:50 > 0:15:53on the celebrations - no reward for third place today.

0:15:53 > 0:15:55They have the slide of shame to look forward to.

0:15:55 > 0:15:58- That's a sort of consolation prize. - Yes, but at the top of the castle,

0:15:58 > 0:16:01our triumphant twins know that the real prize is a step closer.

0:16:01 > 0:16:03So, still hoping to Capture the Crown,

0:16:03 > 0:16:05we have Marwa and Elham versus Rane and Jared.

0:16:05 > 0:16:07Well, I thoroughly enjoyed that -

0:16:07 > 0:16:09double helpings of splats all round,

0:16:09 > 0:16:11especially with the twin balls of doom!

0:16:11 > 0:16:14Not exactly the easiest tournament to commentate on.

0:16:14 > 0:16:15Twin attackers all covered in foam.

0:16:15 > 0:16:17Or mayonnaise, as Vane likes to call it.

0:16:17 > 0:16:20I think he'll be in trouble with the other Defenders

0:16:20 > 0:16:22after walking out on them.

0:16:22 > 0:16:24They won't be putting up with any of that nonsense in the final.

0:16:24 > 0:16:26In fact they'll be doubling their efforts,

0:16:26 > 0:16:29because the kingdom of Splatalot is about to have twin rulers.

0:16:29 > 0:16:31But will they be kings or queens?

0:16:33 > 0:16:36Maybe the splat stat hat can help answer our question.

0:16:36 > 0:16:38Off you go.

0:16:38 > 0:16:39What's the matter?

0:16:39 > 0:16:41I don't know. The hat's not telling me what to say. Hang on!

0:16:41 > 0:16:43My body double was messing with it.

0:16:43 > 0:16:45Right, let's try again.

0:16:45 > 0:16:48Jared and Rane have finished second in both challenges so far.

0:16:48 > 0:16:51An impressive record, but Elham and Marwa have done even better,

0:16:51 > 0:16:53finishing first each time.

0:16:53 > 0:16:56So the splat stat hat predicts our two new rulers will be queens.

0:16:56 > 0:16:59But I'm sure the boys won't want to come second again.

0:16:59 > 0:17:01Here's a reminder of all of them in action.

0:17:01 > 0:17:03Candidate kings Rane and Jared

0:17:03 > 0:17:06versus wannabe warrior queens Marwa and Elham.

0:17:06 > 0:17:08And this is what they're up against.

0:17:08 > 0:17:10For starters, all six of the Defenders.

0:17:10 > 0:17:13That number could increase - the Defenders have been promising

0:17:13 > 0:17:15all day to introduce us to their twins.

0:17:15 > 0:17:17Then there's the course itself to contend with!

0:17:17 > 0:17:19The attackers start by taking a trip to the dire mire

0:17:19 > 0:17:21where they find the barrier of all barriers,

0:17:21 > 0:17:24and soon after that, the terrifying Ts.

0:17:24 > 0:17:26They then make their way onto the scary-go-round,

0:17:26 > 0:17:27and then to the annihilating arm.

0:17:27 > 0:17:29And then the gruesome twosome!

0:17:29 > 0:17:31The ever so clever clobbering cannons are next,

0:17:31 > 0:17:34then it's a leap onto the royal ramps, followed by a climb up

0:17:34 > 0:17:37the rock wall, where the much treasured Splatalot crown awaits.

0:17:37 > 0:17:40Down on the course, Vane's on the splatzuka,

0:17:40 > 0:17:44Kook's on cannon duty, Faetal's on the aqualiser, and here they are:

0:17:44 > 0:17:48Thorne's twin Scorne, Skabb's twin Fabb, and Madeva's twin...

0:17:48 > 0:17:50Hang on, that doesn't look right!

0:17:50 > 0:17:52Here are the real twins.

0:17:52 > 0:17:53In red we have Marwa and Elham,

0:17:53 > 0:17:56competing with Rane and Jared in orange.

0:17:56 > 0:17:59And they're off! Ooh, the mire is looking particularly dire today.

0:17:59 > 0:18:01Remember, they're working as teams,

0:18:01 > 0:18:04so I guess both pairs will stick close to each other.

0:18:04 > 0:18:07Dude, you're a nice guy, but I'm wondering where Madeva's sister is.

0:18:07 > 0:18:09She said she's going to be here all day. She's a babe and...

0:18:09 > 0:18:12You smell like sweet potatoes.

0:18:12 > 0:18:14OK, let's get back to action, shall we?

0:18:14 > 0:18:16Marwa and Elham are first to tackle the Ts.

0:18:16 > 0:18:18- And the first to fall off them. - Back to the barrier.

0:18:18 > 0:18:22The boys are struggling, but they finally make it over. Good teamwork.

0:18:22 > 0:18:24Now I think Kook's just spotted Skabb's twin sister, Fabb.

0:18:25 > 0:18:29Lady! New girl Defender, new girl Defender!

0:18:29 > 0:18:30She looks very familiar!

0:18:30 > 0:18:32So, Thorne and Skabb's twins are here,

0:18:32 > 0:18:35but they're nowhere to be seen? Curious.

0:18:35 > 0:18:36Ohhh, chin knocker!

0:18:36 > 0:18:39The red twins have their own mystery to solve - how to cross the Ts.

0:18:39 > 0:18:43Gentlemen, anyone tell you two, you look like one another?

0:18:43 > 0:18:45Apparently, that's Madeva's uncle Charlie.

0:18:45 > 0:18:46She's brought her uncle?

0:18:46 > 0:18:49Which part of "Twin special" did she not understand?

0:18:49 > 0:18:52Marwa and/or Elham is on the Ts again.

0:18:52 > 0:18:53And this is much better!

0:18:53 > 0:18:55Now can the red team make it a double?

0:18:55 > 0:18:58Bit of a wobble, but looking good, and yes, both girls are over!

0:18:58 > 0:19:00Next stop for them is the scary-go-round.

0:19:00 > 0:19:02Early days yet, but they're opening up a lead.

0:19:02 > 0:19:05Back to the boys. Sweet baby flip flops!

0:19:05 > 0:19:09I'm sure this is Elham clinging to the annihilating arm. Look out!

0:19:09 > 0:19:11Ahhhh! Shoots, he scores!

0:19:11 > 0:19:12Uncle Charlie's made quite an impact.

0:19:12 > 0:19:15The orange team's made it over the Ts.

0:19:15 > 0:19:17Marwa's now caught up with her sister,

0:19:17 > 0:19:19and tries the underarm approach.

0:19:19 > 0:19:21Winner, winner, chicken dinner!

0:19:21 > 0:19:22Now, who does Scorn remind me of?

0:19:22 > 0:19:25No time to think about that now, we've got a red twin in the moat!

0:19:25 > 0:19:30Fabb rule number 305 - when dealing with twins, always have slime!

0:19:30 > 0:19:32Fabb's rules make about as much sense as Skabb's.

0:19:32 > 0:19:35- But she did promise slime. - Fabb rules!

0:19:35 > 0:19:37Half of team orange has made it to the arm.

0:19:37 > 0:19:40- Kook's spotted the danger though. - Nice shot, but no harm done.

0:19:40 > 0:19:43So can Rane or Jared land back on the scary-go-round?

0:19:43 > 0:19:44Barton in the beans!

0:19:44 > 0:19:47Yes, if you've got no grip, you'll just slip and take a dip.

0:19:47 > 0:19:49Time to let off a little steam!

0:19:49 > 0:19:51There's something about Scorne that really bothers me.

0:19:51 > 0:19:54Yabba dabba don't! He's certainly bothering the attackers.

0:19:54 > 0:19:55That leap was way off target.

0:19:55 > 0:19:57Now, can the reds make their landing?

0:19:57 > 0:19:59Better effort, but no.

0:19:59 > 0:20:02I'm going to be the scorn in your smile!

0:20:02 > 0:20:04Well, he sounds like Thorne, but he's almost as scary as Skabb!

0:20:04 > 0:20:07At the cannons now. Aft puddle!

0:20:07 > 0:20:11Right, can the boys do any better? Double aft puddle!

0:20:11 > 0:20:14Our other red twin thinks twice, but Scorne's right behind her!

0:20:14 > 0:20:15She has no choice but to cross.

0:20:15 > 0:20:18She survives the first cannon, but Scorne's still there.

0:20:18 > 0:20:21Oh, but she pulls it out of the bag! What a brilliant move!

0:20:21 > 0:20:22Now what's uncle Charlie up to?

0:20:22 > 0:20:26- HE GIGGLES - I'm on TV.

0:20:26 > 0:20:27Hi, Madeva!

0:20:27 > 0:20:29Oh, dear. Back to the course.

0:20:29 > 0:20:33Hinge and Blew-it! Ooh, double Hinge and Blew-it!

0:20:33 > 0:20:35Kook gets a little hiss-terical, but it doesn't put off

0:20:35 > 0:20:38the orange team - one half has made it onto the royal ramps.

0:20:38 > 0:20:42But remember, both need to cross the finish line to win that crown.

0:20:42 > 0:20:45So here's our first leap onto the rock wall. Crackernang!

0:20:45 > 0:20:48Yep, I think our logo perfectly sums up that effort.

0:20:48 > 0:20:49The final's hotting up now.

0:20:49 > 0:20:51- I am Scorne!- And I am Fabb!

0:20:51 > 0:20:53I'm still confused.

0:20:53 > 0:20:54And I'm Kookaburra!

0:20:56 > 0:20:57Nice to meet you.

0:20:57 > 0:20:58Well, that wasn't at all awkward.

0:20:58 > 0:21:00The Defenders need to refocus,

0:21:00 > 0:21:03because three attackers are about to take on the rock wall.

0:21:03 > 0:21:04Here's the first. No! Next, please.

0:21:04 > 0:21:06Faetal makes the wall even slippier.

0:21:06 > 0:21:08Second attempt - no.

0:21:08 > 0:21:10Scorne adds some slime into the mix.

0:21:10 > 0:21:11Third attempt. And it's good!

0:21:11 > 0:21:13Incoming!

0:21:13 > 0:21:15So the reds have given the Defenders

0:21:32 > 0:21:34Simple - Rane and Jared are both on the wall.

0:21:34 > 0:21:37Marwa needs to catch up. But she can't hold on!

0:21:37 > 0:21:39Judging by Faetal's reaction,

0:21:39 > 0:21:41I think she intends to take the credit for that splat.

0:21:41 > 0:21:44- But that still leaves Rane and Jared.- Marwa!

0:21:44 > 0:21:48Scorne tries an old Skabb trick and hurls a slime ball, but he misses!

0:22:40 > 0:22:42and a lot of help from the splacken.

0:22:42 > 0:22:45It's got everything - a splacken thwack, a sister trip,

0:22:45 > 0:22:48and to round it off, a cartwheel into the moat. Great work, James!

0:22:48 > 0:22:50Back to our twin kings, and their journey to the crown.

0:22:50 > 0:22:53Jared and Rane were no strangers to splats in round one,

0:22:53 > 0:22:55and were best friends with the foam in round two.

0:22:55 > 0:22:57The final was far from easy,

0:22:57 > 0:22:59but their solid teamwork gave them the edge.

0:22:59 > 0:23:02Time now to hear from our brave new rulers.

0:23:02 > 0:23:04Our first act as kings of Splatalot is to have one of you
