0:14:51 > 0:14:54CHEERING

0:14:57 > 0:15:01Well done, guys! What a fantastic start to the show.

0:15:01 > 0:15:03Let's see what the judges thought.

0:15:03 > 0:15:05Carrie, what did you think of that performance?

0:15:05 > 0:15:09Well, I've got something really positive to say to each of you

0:15:09 > 0:15:10and a bit of advice for each of you.

0:15:10 > 0:15:15For Hi'JinX!, you were the most rehearsed of our three groups.

0:15:15 > 0:15:17It was very clean, very good to watch.

0:15:17 > 0:15:19I think you need more acting energy.

0:15:19 > 0:15:22I wasn't sure whether you were trying to be happy or sad.

0:15:22 > 0:15:23Some were happy, some were sad,

0:15:23 > 0:15:26I needed your faces to tell the story a little bit more.

0:15:26 > 0:15:29For VoxBox, I loved the vocal build.

0:15:29 > 0:15:32I loved the way you started down the register, really low,

0:15:32 > 0:15:34the way you built the harmony was beautiful.

0:15:34 > 0:15:36You guys just need to be more accurate.

0:15:36 > 0:15:38It's a little bit pitchy in places and also, choreographically,

0:15:38 > 0:15:40it just needs to be a little bit more accurate,

0:15:40 > 0:15:42so that's about rehearsing.

0:15:42 > 0:15:45And finally, for The Gleeks, you had

0:15:45 > 0:15:49the best acting of all the groups today, for me,

0:15:49 > 0:15:50but I wanted to hear a warmer sound,

0:15:50 > 0:15:53so that's something I want you to really look at,

0:15:53 > 0:15:56is how do we make the actual sound of our voices warmer?

0:15:56 > 0:15:59Thank you, Carrie. David, did you like what you saw?

0:15:59 > 0:16:00Yeah, I did like what I saw.

0:16:00 > 0:16:02I mean, I agree with pretty much what Carrie said.

0:16:02 > 0:16:04I thought that that your stuff, Hi'JinX!,

0:16:04 > 0:16:06was very well rehearsed, but quite safe.

0:16:06 > 0:16:09I would like to see you taking a bit more chance,

0:16:09 > 0:16:10be a little bit more daring.

0:16:10 > 0:16:14VoxBox, again, loved the build from the bottom up of the harmony,

0:16:14 > 0:16:17but, you know, really, really listen to each other and focus.

0:16:17 > 0:16:19Some of you were really in there,

0:16:19 > 0:16:20some of you were looking around a bit.

0:16:20 > 0:16:23Do your own performance and trust one another.

0:16:23 > 0:16:26And The Gleeks, loved your performance, really did like it.

0:16:26 > 0:16:29Work on your internal dynamic of your harmony.

0:16:29 > 0:16:32When it gets to the chorus, everything up to there was bang-on,

0:16:32 > 0:16:34got to the chorus and I lost the melody.

0:16:34 > 0:16:39So work on that internally, OK, so that you can hear every note.

0:16:39 > 0:16:41- Sisco, your thoughts?- For me,

0:16:41 > 0:16:43it was The Gleeks. You guys looked the most polished.

0:16:43 > 0:16:46I felt your sound was as good as your presentation.

0:16:46 > 0:16:48It was full and it looked well rehearsed.

0:16:48 > 0:16:51With Hi'JinX!, it started off really, really good

0:16:51 > 0:16:53and then I felt, when you got to the chorus,

0:16:53 > 0:16:55you lost some volume from some of the singers.

0:16:55 > 0:16:56There's eight of you and at one point

0:16:56 > 0:16:58it sounded like there was only four singing,

0:16:58 > 0:17:01so really work on the projection of your voice

0:17:01 > 0:17:04and articulating the lyrics, so you sound like a club.

0:17:04 > 0:17:06VoxBox, I love your choreography.

0:17:06 > 0:17:09I think you guys are secret dancers in there.

0:17:09 > 0:17:12But really practise the vocals as much as the choreography

0:17:12 > 0:17:14because, at the moment, the presentation

0:17:14 > 0:17:17of the choreography was better than the vocal ability.

0:17:17 > 0:17:20Cheers, Sisco. John, which act did it for you?

0:17:20 > 0:17:22Well, first of all, before I even say that,

0:17:22 > 0:17:24I am so proud of each and every group up there.

0:17:24 > 0:17:27Just coming back here is such an honour,

0:17:27 > 0:17:29to see the level of talent in front of me.

0:17:29 > 0:17:32You all did excellently. Really great start to this show.

0:17:32 > 0:17:35CHEERING

0:17:35 > 0:17:38But, for this round, I think, just purely for the melodic value

0:17:38 > 0:17:41- and what it did to me, I would say this round goes to Hi'JinX!.- Cool.

0:17:41 > 0:17:43Thank you very much, judges. Well done, guys.

0:17:43 > 0:17:46Now, whilst we check and verify the scores for round one,

0:17:46 > 0:17:49let's take a look at some messages from our celebrity chums.

0:17:49 > 0:17:52If you want to get involved, grab a grown-up

0:17:52 > 0:17:54and enter the Sport Relief Games

0:17:54 > 0:17:57from Friday 21st to Sunday 23rd March.

0:17:57 > 0:18:00Visit the CBBC website to find out more.

0:18:00 > 0:18:03CHEERING

0:18:03 > 0:18:05The scores have been checked and verified

0:18:05 > 0:18:08and the results for round one are in, so it's over to you, Mark.

0:18:08 > 0:18:10Thank you very much, Sam. It just got serious.

0:18:10 > 0:18:14I can reveal that the judges' combined score for Hi'JinX!,

0:18:14 > 0:18:16out of a possible 120 points, is...

0:18:19 > 0:18:21..71!

0:18:21 > 0:18:24CHEERING

0:18:26 > 0:18:29The judges' combined score for VoxBox is...

0:18:34 > 0:18:35..82!

0:18:35 > 0:18:37CHEERING

0:18:40 > 0:18:44And finally, the judges' combined score for The Gleeks is...

0:18:49 > 0:18:50..84!

0:18:50 > 0:18:53CHEERING

0:18:53 > 0:18:55Well done, guys.

0:18:55 > 0:18:57OK, there is still one more challenge to go,

0:18:57 > 0:19:00but before that, let's take a look at the scoreboard after round one.

0:19:00 > 0:19:05So, after round one, The Gleeks are in the lead with 84 points,

0:19:05 > 0:19:08closely followed by VoxBox on 82

0:19:08 > 0:19:10and Hi'JinX! on 71.

0:19:10 > 0:19:13But with 120 points available to each group in round two,

0:19:13 > 0:19:15it could all change.

0:19:15 > 0:19:20Well done, guys. Round one over and in the bag. You've done that bit.

0:19:20 > 0:19:23Hi'JinX!, did you enjoy it all, were you happy out there?

0:19:23 > 0:19:25- Yes, definitely.- You were.

0:19:25 > 0:19:27Carrie thought you were the most rehearsed,

0:19:27 > 0:19:29John said that you were his favourite.

0:19:29 > 0:19:31How do you feel about that?

0:19:31 > 0:19:32Good.

0:19:32 > 0:19:35But Sisco thought maybe you need to work on your projection.

0:19:35 > 0:19:37How are you going to do that?

0:19:37 > 0:19:40- Work together.- Just give it a go.

0:19:40 > 0:19:43- Did you enjoy it?- Yes.- You did. You are nodding. Good.

0:19:43 > 0:19:46- Are you looking forward to your next song?- Yes.- I hope so.

0:19:46 > 0:19:49Let's go over and see the secret dancers, eh, VoxBox?

0:19:49 > 0:19:52Sisco said that maybe your dancing wasn't as strong as your vocals.

0:19:52 > 0:19:55Do you have some strong vocals hidden in there

0:19:55 > 0:19:58that you're going to shine out in your next song?

0:19:58 > 0:20:02Yeah, I agree with him, because we put too much...

0:20:02 > 0:20:05At one point, we put too much power in our dancing,

0:20:05 > 0:20:10that for a moment, we almost forgot about our singing and our harmonies.

0:20:10 > 0:20:12So, next time, we're just going to even it out

0:20:12 > 0:20:14and give a little surprise.

0:20:14 > 0:20:16I like the way you're talking. A little surprise, there.

0:20:16 > 0:20:21Over to The Gleeks - Carrie thought you had the most acting, didn't she?

0:20:21 > 0:20:23She said you were the best at acting, had the most warmth.

0:20:23 > 0:20:26David thought maybe your melody got a little bit lost in there.

0:20:26 > 0:20:28- Do you agree with that?- I think so.

0:20:28 > 0:20:30It was more to do with our harmony lines,

0:20:30 > 0:20:33it made it come across as if we'd lost the melody.

0:20:33 > 0:20:36What about in your next song? What can we expect?

0:20:36 > 0:20:39We have a little something up our sleeve, extra,

0:20:39 > 0:20:41as a little surprise.

0:20:41 > 0:20:43Love all these surprises! Can't wait to hear them.

0:20:43 > 0:20:46There are lots more points up for grabs, but for now,

0:20:46 > 0:20:47back to you, Sam and Mark.

0:20:49 > 0:20:51Thank you very much, Naomi -

0:20:51 > 0:20:52while the groups get ready for round two,

0:21:16 > 0:21:19So wherever you're watching from, you're not very far away

0:21:26 > 0:21:29to the lives of vulnerable people at home and abroad.

0:21:43 > 0:21:44..to find out how.

0:21:54 > 0:21:58and take part in the Sport Relief Mile, Swimathon or Cycle.

0:21:58 > 0:22:00OK - round two is the last chance for our groups to deliver

0:22:00 > 0:22:02a show-stopping performance.

0:22:02 > 0:22:05They need to score as many points as they can to secure a top spot

0:22:05 > 0:22:07on the Glee Club leader board.

0:22:07 > 0:22:10Remember, only the top five will go through to the live finals.

0:22:10 > 0:22:14Mr D, can you please do the honours and introduce the final round?

0:22:17 > 0:22:19The groups will have to give it their all

0:22:19 > 0:22:22in their final chance to build those all-important points.

0:22:24 > 0:22:26They're home-grown talent from Motherwell,

0:22:26 > 0:22:27right here in Scotland.

0:22:27 > 0:22:29Let's find out a little bit more about Hi'JinX!

0:22:29 > 0:22:31and their journey to the hits.

0:22:33 > 0:22:34From their first performance in Glasgow,

0:22:34 > 0:22:38it was clear that Hi'JinX! were all about having some fun.

0:22:38 > 0:22:40Hi'JinX! Fantastic.

0:22:40 > 0:22:42# I love it, I love it

0:22:42 > 0:22:45# I don't care, I love it... #

0:22:45 > 0:22:47At the judges' auditions, Carrie was impressed

0:22:47 > 0:22:49and loved the group's sound.

0:22:49 > 0:22:51Guys, that was fabulous.

0:22:51 > 0:22:52It's a real summer song

0:22:52 > 0:22:55and you were like a ray of sunshine on that stage.

0:22:55 > 0:22:59Really uniform, I loved the unison vocals.

0:22:59 > 0:23:02It was like one big fat voice, which sounds brilliant.

0:23:02 > 0:23:06The only thing I would say to add is just add a bit more ferocity,

0:23:06 > 0:23:07cos I think you've got it in you.

0:23:07 > 0:23:09Should you make it through to the next round,

0:23:09 > 0:23:11will we be seeing more new socks?

0:23:11 > 0:23:13ALL: Yeah!

0:23:13 > 0:23:17The fifth group going through to the studio heats is...

0:23:17 > 0:23:18..Hi'JinX!

0:23:18 > 0:23:20Yes!

0:23:20 > 0:23:23Can Hi'JinX! bring their fun and ferocity to the stage

0:23:23 > 0:23:27and sock it to the judges when it matters at the studio heats?

0:23:28 > 0:23:31- Hi'JinX! Nice socks. - ALL: Thank you.

0:23:31 > 0:23:34Give us a flash of the socks - look at them!

0:23:34 > 0:23:37What's the best thing about being in Hi'JinX?

0:23:37 > 0:23:40- The experience. - Do you think it's made you closer?

0:23:40 > 0:23:42Yeah, it has. We've got a strong bond

0:23:42 > 0:23:44now that we're in Hi'JinX! together.

0:23:44 > 0:23:47Just singing together is great fun.

0:23:47 > 0:23:48We're having fun,

0:23:48 > 0:23:52but we're also being really, like, sensible about it

0:23:52 > 0:23:55and really, like, quite serious.

0:23:55 > 0:23:56Go away!

0:24:01 > 0:24:04They're hoping for a high score and a place in the final.

0:24:04 > 0:24:06Singing Call Me Maybe, it's Hi'JinX!

0:24:09 > 0:24:12MUSIC: "Call Me Maybe" by Carly Rae Jepsen

0:24:13 > 0:24:15# I threw a wish in the well

0:24:15 > 0:24:17# Don't ask me, I'll never tell

0:24:17 > 0:24:19# I looked to you as it fell

0:24:19 > 0:24:21# And now you're in my way

0:24:21 > 0:24:23# I'd trade my soul for a wish,

0:24:23 > 0:24:25# Pennies and dimes for a kiss

0:24:25 > 0:24:27# I wasn't looking for this

0:24:27 > 0:24:29# But now you're in my way

0:24:29 > 0:24:31# Your stare was holdin'

0:24:31 > 0:24:33# Ripped jeans, skin was showin'

0:24:33 > 0:24:35# Hot night, wind was blowin'

0:24:35 > 0:24:37# Where do you think you're going, baby?

0:24:37 > 0:24:40# Hey, I just met you

0:24:40 > 0:24:42# And this is crazy

0:24:42 > 0:24:44# But here's my number

0:24:44 > 0:24:45# So call me, maybe!

0:24:45 > 0:24:50# And all the other boys try to chase me

0:24:50 > 0:24:52# But here's my number

0:24:52 > 0:24:53# So call me, maybe!

0:24:53 > 0:24:57# Before you came into my life I missed you so bad

0:24:57 > 0:24:59# I missed you so bad

0:24:59 > 0:25:01# I missed you so, so bad

0:25:01 > 0:25:05# Before you came into my life I missed you so bad

0:25:05 > 0:25:07# I missed you so bad

0:25:07 > 0:25:09I missed you so, so bad

0:25:09 > 0:25:11# Hey, I just met you

0:25:11 > 0:25:14# And this is crazy

0:25:14 > 0:25:16# But here's my number

0:25:16 > 0:25:17# So call me, maybe!

0:25:17 > 0:25:22# And all the other boys try to chase me

0:25:22 > 0:25:24# But here's my number

0:25:24 > 0:25:25# So call me, maybe! #

0:25:25 > 0:25:27CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

0:25:32 > 0:25:33Nice, nice!

0:25:33 > 0:25:35You're not part of the group!

0:25:35 > 0:25:36- Sorry!- Well done, guys.

0:25:36 > 0:25:39David, do you think Hi'JinX! should be proud of that?

0:25:39 > 0:25:40Yeah, they should be really proud of it.

0:25:40 > 0:25:43There was a kind of youthful energy and naivety

0:25:43 > 0:25:46that I think brought the song to a different place

0:25:46 > 0:25:47and gave it a different perspective.

0:25:47 > 0:25:49And I really liked what you did.

0:25:49 > 0:25:52Previously, I know it has been remarked that you're not all

0:25:52 > 0:25:54giving it the same amount of vocal energy.

0:25:54 > 0:25:57I really felt like, that time, you were trying to match each other

0:25:57 > 0:26:00and that really made a difference to the performance.

0:26:00 > 0:26:02You should be very proud of yourselves.

0:26:02 > 0:26:03ALL: Thank you!

0:26:03 > 0:26:05Sisco, you think they nailed it?

0:26:05 > 0:26:08I think you guys did brilliantly - what David said about having

0:26:08 > 0:26:11a youthful energy is exactly what it was. It was great to see.

0:26:11 > 0:26:13You guys are so adorable.

0:26:13 > 0:26:15I just think I want you guys to do a little more.

0:26:15 > 0:26:17Make sure you rehearse, rehearse, rehearse,

0:26:17 > 0:26:19so when you sing, from that first note,

0:26:19 > 0:26:20you blow them away.

0:26:20 > 0:26:22- OK.- Thank you, Sisco.

0:26:22 > 0:26:24John, what did you think of the vocals?

0:26:24 > 0:26:26Yeah, I think, overall, they were good.

0:26:26 > 0:26:29I think they weren't blended as well as they were in your previous song,

0:26:29 > 0:26:31a little bit shouty in places.

0:26:31 > 0:26:33They were parts where you were a bit unsure,

0:26:33 > 0:26:35I was losing you a bit.

0:26:35 > 0:26:37But overall, the energy of the vocals was quite good.

0:26:37 > 0:26:40- ALL: Thank you. DAVID:- Can I...?

0:26:40 > 0:26:42Oh, yeah, sorry, mate.

0:26:42 > 0:26:44I know what you're saying, but I think that that song...

0:26:44 > 0:26:46To me, it's not about blending and smoothness.

0:26:46 > 0:26:49It is about energy and it's about an exuberance.

0:26:49 > 0:26:52So I don't actually think the song suffers from not being blended.

0:26:52 > 0:26:53All right, boys...

0:26:53 > 0:26:55LAUGHTER

0:26:55 > 0:26:57All right - Carrie, what did you think?

0:26:57 > 0:27:00Well, I just said on your first performance,

0:27:00 > 0:27:02you weren't acting and I wanted you to act.

0:27:02 > 0:27:05And you've come back onto that stage and acted your way through that song,

0:27:05 > 0:27:07so thank you - you did really well.

0:27:07 > 0:27:09ALL: Thank you.

0:27:09 > 0:27:11Thank you very much, judges.

0:27:11 > 0:27:12Give it up for Hi'JinX!

0:27:12 > 0:27:15CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

0:27:20 > 0:27:23Come on over, Hi'JinX! Come and join me.

0:27:23 > 0:27:26It's done - you've done all you can. How did you feel it went?

0:27:26 > 0:27:28- Great.- Great.- Really well.

0:27:28 > 0:27:31Have you enjoyed yourselves? David said you should be proud.

0:27:31 > 0:27:32But there was a bit of a debate

0:27:32 > 0:27:35between John and David about your performance.

0:27:35 > 0:27:37Who do you think was right?

0:27:37 > 0:27:39ALL: Don't know!

0:27:39 > 0:27:41Don't want to side with one or the other?

0:27:41 > 0:27:42ALL: No.

0:27:42 > 0:27:43Sisco's quite hard to please -

0:27:43 > 0:27:47I think getting a good comment from him makes you feel really good.

0:27:47 > 0:27:49- That means a lot to you.- Yeah.

0:27:49 > 0:27:51Hi'JinX, high-five!
