0:13:03 > 0:13:05Welcome to Style Booth, and today, I'm going to teach you

0:13:05 > 0:13:08how to make one of these cool, customised collars.

0:13:08 > 0:13:11Collars are everywhere at the moment, but I'm going to teach you how

0:13:11 > 0:13:13to make one without actually having to wear a shirt.

0:13:13 > 0:13:15And you can personalise it, too.

0:13:15 > 0:13:18So all you need is an old shirt like this, and today, I'm going

0:13:18 > 0:13:20to use some little gems, but you can use anything, really.

0:13:20 > 0:13:22So make sure that the shirt is an old one

0:13:22 > 0:13:24that you don't want to wear again,

0:13:24 > 0:13:26because we're going to cut the collar off.

0:13:26 > 0:13:29So maybe you could use one of your old school shirts.

0:13:29 > 0:13:31So what I'm going to do first is cut off the collar.

0:13:31 > 0:13:33And a good tip is to make sure that you cut under the top button,

0:13:33 > 0:13:35because you're going to fasten that around

0:13:35 > 0:13:37whatever outfit you're wearing.

0:13:39 > 0:13:41So now you've separated your collar from the shirt,

0:13:41 > 0:13:43we can throw the rest of it away.

0:13:43 > 0:13:45BANG!

0:13:45 > 0:13:48So, you might have a few frayed bits on the end of your collar,

0:13:48 > 0:13:50so you just want to trim them off and tidy it up a bit

0:13:50 > 0:13:51so it looks nice and neat.

0:13:51 > 0:13:53So now that I've cut all the frays off,

0:13:53 > 0:13:57what I'm going to do is glue my little gems onto the corners.

0:13:57 > 0:14:00To do this, you need to make sure you've got some fabric glue at hand.

0:14:10 > 0:14:13And that's how you make a customised collar in three simple steps.

0:14:13 > 0:14:15Let's take a look at how to make it again.

0:14:15 > 0:14:18Step one - find an old shirt you don't mind ruining,

0:14:18 > 0:14:19and cut the collar off.

0:14:19 > 0:14:22But get a grown-up to do it if you're too young,

0:14:22 > 0:14:24and trim the edges up if they're untidy.

0:14:24 > 0:14:26Step two - get your decoration

0:14:26 > 0:14:28- studs, lace, anything you want -

0:14:28 > 0:14:31and stick to the corners of each collar.

0:14:31 > 0:14:34Step three - button on the collar and pick an outfit so you match.

0:14:34 > 0:14:36But you can make different coloured collars

0:14:36 > 0:14:38to go with different outfits, of course.

0:14:38 > 0:14:41But what Style Download would be complete without the ultimate test?

0:14:41 > 0:14:44I'm so confident these collars can pass off as real shirts,

0:14:44 > 0:14:46I've actually asked Aidan to model three of them,

0:14:46 > 0:14:49but one of them is fake, so I'm going to see if I can spot which one it is.

0:14:49 > 0:14:52First off, we've got the smart-casual look.

0:14:52 > 0:14:54Maybe...

0:14:54 > 0:14:57But next up, we've got the retro look.

0:14:57 > 0:14:59Not sure about this one.

0:14:59 > 0:15:01And finally, the summer look.

0:15:05 > 0:15:08So I reckon it was number two. Let's see if I was right.

0:15:09 > 0:15:10BUZZER

0:15:10 > 0:15:13Oh, I was wrong! Fooled me!

0:15:13 > 0:15:16Which means, that's Style Download complete.
