0:02:28 > 0:02:31First of all, congratulations for making it this far.

0:02:31 > 0:02:34That's fantastic. Acting can be kind of daunting,

0:02:34 > 0:02:38so I'm here to help you break down the scenes,

0:02:38 > 0:02:41find clues about the character

0:02:41 > 0:02:45that the writers have given you inside those scenes

0:02:45 > 0:02:49and hopefully, make you feel at ease when it comes to perform them.

0:02:49 > 0:02:51- All right.- Yeah.- Are you excited and ready?

0:02:51 > 0:02:54- ALL:- Yeah.- All right, let's get to work.

0:02:56 > 0:02:59- Hey.- Hey.- So...what's this all about, again?

0:02:59 > 0:03:01Well, since you asked,

0:03:01 > 0:03:03our performers have just an hour on the clock

0:03:03 > 0:03:06to rehearse an entire scene from The Next Step.

0:03:06 > 0:03:09Imagine you guys are in the telly and we're watching

0:03:09 > 0:03:12The Next Step. We're at home watching The Next Step.

0:03:12 > 0:03:15- TV screen!- Yeah, there's a TV screen there. You guys are doing a scene.

0:03:15 > 0:03:16Go, go.

0:03:16 > 0:03:19They'll need to work in their pairs and quickly, too, to deliver

0:03:19 > 0:03:23their lines clearly, convincingly and with conviction.

0:03:24 > 0:03:26It's about listening and responding.

0:03:26 > 0:03:29And our special guest mentor Adam Garcia

0:03:29 > 0:03:31has some acting techniques to share.

0:03:31 > 0:03:33You've got to be very direct.

0:03:33 > 0:03:35And I think...

0:03:35 > 0:03:39it'll help your physicality if you almost sit into him, if you like.

0:03:39 > 0:03:41"OK, I'm here to help you. Tell me what you want."

0:03:41 > 0:03:44Most of these kids haven't actually ever picked up scripts before.

0:03:44 > 0:03:46This is quite a tough challenge,

0:03:46 > 0:03:48cos they're used to dancing. That's their comfort zone.

0:03:48 > 0:03:50A lot of them are doing really, really great.

0:03:50 > 0:03:52I don't want to give anything away, of course.

0:03:52 > 0:03:53Of course.

0:03:53 > 0:03:56- But they seem to take to acting like a duck to water.- Nice.

0:03:56 > 0:04:01So with rehearsals over, it's now time to perform for the judges.

0:04:01 > 0:04:06First up are our street dancers Kaymia and good friend Charlie,

0:04:06 > 0:04:08who's looking to prove he's listened to Jonny.
