0:04:06 > 0:04:10- Next, we're travelling - to the Whitsunday Islands.

0:04:34 > 0:04:36- But I didn't want to snorkel.

0:04:40 > 0:04:43- Elvis is an enormous fish.

0:04:50 > 0:04:54- You'd need a big pool - to keep Elvis at home.

0:05:06 > 0:05:09- Cairns is home to a rainforest...

0:05:10 > 0:05:12- ..and the Great Barrier Reef.

0:05:15 > 0:05:17- We're in the Cairns rainforest.

0:05:20 > 0:05:23- The sounds around us are fantastic.

0:05:24 > 0:05:27- The sound - of all the insects and birds...

0:05:27 > 0:05:32- ..proves that the rainforest - is an ideal place for creatures...

0:05:37 > 0:05:39- The rainforest is so dense...

0:05:40 > 0:05:44- ..that a raindrop may take around - 10 minutes to fall to the ground.

0:05:52 > 0:05:54- Behind me is Barron Falls.

0:05:54 > 0:05:57- The Kuranda Scenic Railway - is in the distance.

0:06:01 > 0:06:03- The train journey is special...

0:06:04 > 0:06:07- ..because the railway - is high above the rainforest.

0:06:10 > 0:06:14- After spending time - in the heat of the rainforest...

0:06:15 > 0:06:18- ..it was nice to relax - in the swimming pool...

0:06:18 > 0:06:23- ..and practise for our trip - to the Great Barrier Reef tomorrow.

0:06:30 > 0:06:34- One of Australia's highlights is - a visit to the Great Barrier Reef.

0:06:36 > 0:06:38- The barrier reef is so big...

0:06:38 > 0:06:41- ..it can be seen from space.

0:06:43 > 0:06:45- It's an ideal place to dive...

0:06:45 > 0:06:48- ..because wildlife thrives here.

0:06:50 > 0:06:53- Unfortunately, - we're too young to dive underwater.

0:06:54 > 0:06:56- We have to make do with snorkelling.

0:07:03 > 0:07:06- I'm in the Great Barrier Reef.

0:07:06 > 0:07:08- I'm going under - to see what I can find.

0:07:12 > 0:07:16- There are more than - 1,500 species of fish here.

0:07:16 > 0:07:20- And 400 different types of coral.

0:07:24 > 0:07:26- I can see fish and coral.

0:07:28 > 0:07:32- Aled and I have been snorkelling - in the Great Barrier Reef.

0:07:35 > 0:07:38- This is the first time - for me to go snorkelling.

0:07:39 > 0:07:42- Wow, the colours of the fish - are fantastic.

0:07:43 > 0:07:46- But the star of - the Great Barrier Reef is the coral.

0:07:46 > 0:07:49- It's the world's largest coral reef.

0:07:52 > 0:07:54- Coral is very important...

0:07:54 > 0:07:58- ..as it provides a habitat - for fish and creatures to live...

0:07:58 > 0:08:00- ..and hide from any danger.

0:08:13 > 0:08:16- We're nearing - the end of our journey to Australia.

0:08:17 > 0:08:19- We're venturing into the wild...

0:08:20 > 0:08:23- ..to see one of Australia's - most famous attractions.

0:08:26 > 0:08:31- The Red Centre is where - you'll find Ayers Rock, or Uluru.

0:08:32 > 0:08:36- It changes colour during the day, - which is incredible.

0:08:38 > 0:08:41- Uluru is - the traditional name for the rock.

0:08:42 > 0:08:47- It was named by the first natives, - the Aborigines.

0:08:47 > 0:08:50- It's - a very important place for them.

0:08:53 > 0:08:57- I've just walked around Ayers Rock - and I'm shattered.

0:08:57 > 0:09:02- This helped a lot too. - It kept the flies off my face.

0:09:08 > 0:09:12- Tonight we'll sleep under the stars, - in the shade of Uluru.

0:09:13 > 0:09:15- The perfect end to our journey.

0:09:16 > 0:09:18- It was 38 degrees today...

0:09:19 > 0:09:23- ..and we're sitting here, - in the desert, in front of a fire.

0:09:37 > 0:09:40- Australia has been - an incredible experience...
