0:02:45 > 0:02:49It's tragic - they're so talented but are too scared to sing.

0:02:49 > 0:02:53Or will the pressure of singing to millions prove too much?

0:02:53 > 0:02:55I can't do it.

0:04:19 > 0:04:23But for now, it's where these ten children

0:04:23 > 0:04:26must start to find the courage to become singers.

0:04:26 > 0:04:29This is just the bare bones of the studio.

0:04:29 > 0:04:32It's a good place for your first training session

0:04:32 > 0:04:35because here are the bare bones of a choir.

0:04:35 > 0:04:39So, they know where their Big Performance will be.

0:04:39 > 0:04:41Time to find out the song.

0:04:41 > 0:04:44It's a really great song by Avril Lavigne

0:04:44 > 0:04:47and the song is called Keep Holding On. Do you know it?

0:04:47 > 0:04:50Brilliant. Good, it's going really well.

0:04:50 > 0:04:54# You're not alone Together we stand... #

0:04:54 > 0:04:56Canadian singer Avril Lavigne

0:04:56 > 0:05:00is one of the world's most successful artists,

0:05:00 > 0:05:03having sold over 30 million albums.

0:05:03 > 0:05:07Gareth chose Keep Holding On for their Big Performance

0:05:07 > 0:05:09because of its powerful lyrics.

0:05:09 > 0:05:15# Keep holding on... #

0:05:15 > 0:05:17But it isn't a hit with the bashful boys.

0:05:17 > 0:05:22- James, not your thing?- I can't sing that.- You can't sing that?

0:05:22 > 0:05:24- I couldn't.- No? Not at all? - I couldn't.

0:05:24 > 0:05:28Oh, wow, you're going backwards. Come closer.

0:05:28 > 0:05:30At the auditions, 13-year-old James

0:05:30 > 0:05:33revealed how much he doubted his ability.

0:05:33 > 0:05:36I just want to show everyone that I can sing

0:05:36 > 0:05:39but I just don't feel like I'm good enough.

0:05:39 > 0:05:41Let's hear you sing.

0:05:41 > 0:05:46# It's too cold outside for angels to fly. #

0:05:46 > 0:05:48Sorry, that was really bad.

0:05:48 > 0:05:52He's the kind of kid I want to help because there's so much potential.

0:05:52 > 0:05:56Gareth's hoping his choice of song will inspire James

0:05:56 > 0:05:58and the other nervous singers.

0:05:58 > 0:06:03"There's nothing you can say... When it comes to the truth

0:06:03 > 0:06:06"So keep holding on cos we'll make it through."

0:06:06 > 0:06:08What do you think about those words?

0:06:08 > 0:06:11It reminds me of the Good Samaritan,

0:06:11 > 0:06:14where he crosses the street to help the man.

0:06:14 > 0:06:16It's about helping others.

0:06:16 > 0:06:19I think that's right for Children In Need

0:06:19 > 0:06:21but it's also right for you,

0:06:21 > 0:06:26because you are, at the moment, quite shy, quite scared of singing

0:06:26 > 0:06:29and I'm here because I believe that you can do it.

0:06:29 > 0:06:33OK, shall we stand up? Let's get ready to sing. Up we get.

0:06:33 > 0:06:38Stand up tall and go for it. Three and go.

0:06:38 > 0:06:43THEY MUMBLE

0:06:43 > 0:06:45It's not an impressive start.

0:06:45 > 0:06:49The kids have all been teased about their singing in the past

0:06:49 > 0:06:52and no-one wants to stand out from the crowd.

0:06:54 > 0:06:57THEY LAUGH

0:06:57 > 0:06:59This is really strong stuff, yeah?

0:06:59 > 0:07:03# There's nothing you can say Nothing you can do. #

0:07:03 > 0:07:05Try that. And go.

0:07:05 > 0:07:09# There's nothing you can say Nothing you can do... #

0:07:09 > 0:07:12Only time will tell whether they can actually do this.

0:07:12 > 0:07:15Some may find it too frightening.

0:07:15 > 0:07:18I have no idea until we get into boosting their confidence.

0:07:18 > 0:07:22You have to move your mouth. Naming no names, Imogen.

0:07:22 > 0:07:23LAUGHTER

0:07:23 > 0:07:27- I can't sing high. - You can't sing high?

0:07:27 > 0:07:30So, the high note - # Nothing you can say #

0:07:30 > 0:07:31- Bit of a problem?- Yeah.

0:07:31 > 0:07:34- Hello, Gareth.- Nice to meet you.

0:07:34 > 0:07:38At her audition, Imogen revealed the real reason she's reluctant to sing.

0:07:38 > 0:07:41When I was in year seven, I was up on stage

0:07:41 > 0:07:44and all these boys laughed at me

0:07:44 > 0:07:49and then I got really upset and I've never sung again.

0:07:49 > 0:07:51- Never sung again?- No.

0:07:51 > 0:07:54She's been bullied for more than just her singing.

0:07:54 > 0:07:58Got a bit of a stutter. It started when I was four,

0:07:58 > 0:08:00and then again, when I was in year seven,

0:08:00 > 0:08:02when those boys laughed at me.

0:08:02 > 0:08:05They think if you've got ginger hair

0:08:05 > 0:08:07they can just bully you for it.

0:08:07 > 0:08:12It's such a shame that she doesn't feel confident about singing.

0:08:12 > 0:08:15She's exactly the sort of person you think,

0:08:15 > 0:08:18"Why shouldn't you sing?" No reason at all.

0:08:20 > 0:08:25It's dawning on the kids just how big a challenge this is.

0:08:25 > 0:08:28But it's not just them under pressure.

0:08:28 > 0:08:31On the night itself, Gareth will mastermind

0:08:31 > 0:08:34not only their performance of Keep Holding On,

0:08:34 > 0:08:37but nine other choirs all over the country,

0:08:37 > 0:08:39who'll join them live via satellite.

0:08:39 > 0:08:42THEY SING

0:08:42 > 0:08:44It's enough of a challenge in one room,

0:08:44 > 0:08:48but getting choirs to sing all over Britain

0:08:48 > 0:08:51will be a technical and musical challenge.

0:08:51 > 0:08:54Gareth's first ever nationwide choir

0:08:54 > 0:08:57requires someone to take centre stage.

0:08:57 > 0:09:02I think it's really important that we start the song with a soloist.

0:09:02 > 0:09:07Who feels like they could do a solo in front of the nation on BBC One?

0:09:07 > 0:09:08No?

0:09:08 > 0:09:12- I think I'd stumble. - You think you'd make mistakes?

0:09:12 > 0:09:15- I'd just freeze and be like... - You'd freeze?

0:09:15 > 0:09:20The soloist starts the song and sets the tone for the entire performance.

0:09:20 > 0:09:22If they get it wrong, we're in trouble.

0:09:22 > 0:09:26# Keep holding on... #

0:09:26 > 0:09:29I don't think any of us want to do the solo but, obviously,

0:09:29 > 0:09:31one of us has to.

0:09:31 > 0:09:34I couldn't summon up the confidence.

0:09:34 > 0:09:38# There's nothing you can say There's nothing you can do... #

0:09:38 > 0:09:41This is so scary, what they're going to do.

0:09:41 > 0:09:44Even the most talented would find this scary,

0:09:44 > 0:09:50so to take children who are this shy, it's a tall order.

0:09:51 > 0:09:54Come on board The Big Performance bus!

0:09:54 > 0:09:57Over the next ten weeks, this newly formed group

0:09:57 > 0:10:00will be travelling like pop stars.

0:10:00 > 0:10:04I want to buy this bus. This is going to be my new home.

0:10:04 > 0:10:05Oh, yeah!

0:10:05 > 0:10:08On board their very own luxury tour bus,

0:10:08 > 0:10:11they'll pitch up at exciting destinations

0:10:11 > 0:10:15and face tough performance challenges.

0:10:15 > 0:10:17But their fear of singing is so extreme,

0:10:17 > 0:10:21Gareth wants to start slowly. So, for their first challenge,

0:10:21 > 0:10:25they'll be singing in front of each other in pairs, karaoke style.

0:10:27 > 0:10:29Karaoke's about having fun, putting on a show.

0:10:29 > 0:10:32I want them to have a sense of fun about singing

0:10:32 > 0:10:34and not get too het up about it.

0:10:34 > 0:10:37I'm expecting them to put something into this performance.

0:10:37 > 0:10:41The first duet's going to be Michael and Molly.

0:10:41 > 0:10:44You two are going to be singing my favourite from Aladdin,

0:10:44 > 0:10:46A Whole New World.

0:10:46 > 0:10:49# I can show you the world

0:10:49 > 0:10:53# Shining, shimmering, splendid. #

0:10:57 > 0:10:59Charlize and Taylor,

0:10:59 > 0:11:03you're going to be singing Higher by Taio Cruz and Kylie Minogue.

0:11:03 > 0:11:05- You know that?- Yeah.

0:11:05 > 0:11:08# I know how to get down on the floor... Floor

0:11:08 > 0:11:12# Experienced in moves you can't ignore

0:11:12 > 0:11:14- Do you know that?- No.- OK.

0:11:14 > 0:11:17Sacha, and James,

0:11:17 > 0:11:22you're going to be singing Breaking Free from High School Musical. Yeah?

0:11:22 > 0:11:25- You know the one?- Yeah.- Do you know that?- High School Musical.

0:11:25 > 0:11:28Imogen, where are you? There.

0:11:28 > 0:11:31And Mohammed, you two are going to be singing

0:11:31 > 0:11:34Nothing's Gonna Stop Us by Starship.

0:11:34 > 0:11:38- Do you know it?- No.- Never heard of it. OK. It's a great song.

0:11:38 > 0:11:40Joanne and Tia, you two are going to be singing

0:11:40 > 0:11:43It Takes Two by Marvin Gaye and Kim Weston.

0:11:43 > 0:11:47You're going to have a very little amount of time

0:11:47 > 0:11:49to get the song together.

0:11:49 > 0:11:52# Come over here and take a closer look... #

0:11:52 > 0:11:55While the shy singers get practising, Molly and Michael

0:11:55 > 0:11:58are first in to rehearse with Gareth.

0:11:58 > 0:12:02- So, Molly, you know this really well. - Yes, some bits of it.

0:12:02 > 0:12:05They'll be singing A Whole New World from Aladdin.

0:12:05 > 0:12:08Do you think you can sing it straight away?

0:12:08 > 0:12:10# I can show you the world

0:12:12 > 0:12:16# ..shimmering splendid... #

0:12:16 > 0:12:20Have you never heard this? You haven't seen Aladdin? OK.

0:12:20 > 0:12:25Sacha and James have heard of their song but that doesn't help.

0:12:25 > 0:12:27That's definitely your part.

0:12:27 > 0:12:29# Flying... #

0:12:29 > 0:12:30No?

0:12:31 > 0:12:34# In heaven that we can be... #

0:12:34 > 0:12:37- Do you like it?- No.- No? Do you like it? OK.

0:12:37 > 0:12:41What I don't want to see is two people looking embarrassed

0:12:41 > 0:12:42upon that stage.

0:12:42 > 0:12:46I want you to use each other to get a bit of confidence.

0:12:46 > 0:12:48How do you feel about that?

0:12:48 > 0:12:50- Nervous now.- Really?

0:12:50 > 0:12:55When Gareth first met Sacha, she was crippled by anxiety.

0:12:57 > 0:12:59I'm sorry.

0:13:05 > 0:13:10# When the rain is blowing in your face...

0:13:12 > 0:13:17# And the whole world is on your case... #

0:13:17 > 0:13:19I've never seen fear like that.

0:13:19 > 0:13:25Just palpitations and breath all fluttering. Really scared.

0:13:25 > 0:13:29Will she find the support in James to sing in front of the group?

0:13:29 > 0:13:32I think it's better starting off in duets and that

0:13:32 > 0:13:36because you don't want to be thrown into solos already.

0:13:36 > 0:13:39Because we're all not very confident.

0:13:41 > 0:13:43# ..I see a paradise... #

0:13:43 > 0:13:46Imogen and Mohammed's song lyrics prove rather awkward.

0:13:46 > 0:13:50# And we can build this dream together

0:13:50 > 0:13:52# Standing strong...

0:13:52 > 0:13:54It's sort of a love song.

0:13:54 > 0:13:57And the other double acts are cringing

0:13:57 > 0:14:00for a totally different reason.

0:14:01 > 0:14:04# Now I know how to get down on the floor... Floor. #

0:14:04 > 0:14:07# ..Wish upon a star... #

0:14:07 > 0:14:09No? A bit of movement?

0:14:09 > 0:14:13He couldn't have picked out a worse song.

0:14:13 > 0:14:17It's not even like... It's rubbish!

0:14:21 > 0:14:26Later today, they've got to find the nerve to sing to each other,

0:14:26 > 0:14:29so practise at every opportunity.

0:14:29 > 0:14:30# I can't... #

0:14:32 > 0:14:35# Just fall apart at... #

0:14:35 > 0:14:37All I want to see is a bit of personality.

0:14:37 > 0:14:41I want to see them not being afraid to put themselves

0:14:41 > 0:14:44into the performance and working together.

0:14:44 > 0:14:47Even though it's karaoke, a song you don't like,

0:14:47 > 0:14:51you've got to get over that and make your audience feel good.

0:14:51 > 0:14:55In an effort to boost their confidence for their performance,

0:14:55 > 0:14:58Gareth has another surprise up his sleeve

0:14:58 > 0:15:00and has roped in a familiar face to help.

0:15:00 > 0:15:02Barney Hawood!

0:15:02 > 0:15:06- Nice to see you, how are you doing? - I'm very well, thank you.

0:15:06 > 0:15:08I'm here to set you a challenge today.

0:15:08 > 0:15:11You're going to become TV presenters.

0:15:11 > 0:15:13What you're going to do is go away,

0:15:13 > 0:15:16write an introduction about yourself and come back

0:15:16 > 0:15:19and present it to Gareth and myself.

0:15:20 > 0:15:24- My temper is because of my hair colour.- Your temper?- Yeah.

0:15:24 > 0:15:28This challenge is all about being yourself, having the confidence

0:15:28 > 0:15:31to stand in front of an audience, albeit only a camera,

0:15:31 > 0:15:34and just be you. That's really, really difficult.

0:15:34 > 0:15:37If you watch a swan gracefully swimming across the lake,

0:15:37 > 0:15:39you'll see them gracefully moving

0:15:39 > 0:15:41but they're doing that with their feet.

0:15:41 > 0:15:44That's what presenting is like. Loads of things going on.

0:15:44 > 0:15:47You've got to make it look effortless.

0:15:47 > 0:15:50All eyes will now be on the 10 novice singers

0:15:50 > 0:15:52as they make their TV presenter debut.

0:15:52 > 0:15:56The trick here is going to be, even if they do feel embarrassed,

0:15:56 > 0:15:58to make us feel like they're relaxed.

0:15:58 > 0:16:01That way, we'll know how good they are at kidding the audience

0:16:01 > 0:16:05and how capable they are singing in front of all those people.

0:16:05 > 0:16:07First up is James.

0:16:07 > 0:16:10Can he overcome his doubts to reveal his true personality?

0:16:10 > 0:16:14My name's James. I'm 13 years old and I'm from Somerset.

0:16:14 > 0:16:16I'm a beatboxer, here's an example.

0:16:16 > 0:16:17HE BEAT BOXES

0:16:17 > 0:16:21I'm a guitarist. When I'm older, I want to be a musician.

0:16:21 > 0:16:25Really good to give an example of the beatboxing, your talent.

0:16:25 > 0:16:26- Thank you.- Well done.

0:16:26 > 0:16:29It's a great start. Imogen is next.

0:16:29 > 0:16:33Will her stutter get in the way of a slick performance?

0:16:33 > 0:16:35I've red hair, as you can see,

0:16:35 > 0:16:38and I have a very bad temper because of it.

0:16:38 > 0:16:42I just... Sometimes I just want to let go.

0:16:42 > 0:16:45Hello, my name is Sacha and I'm 12 years old.

0:16:45 > 0:16:48Um...

0:16:50 > 0:16:52I can't remember.

0:16:52 > 0:16:55I was quite nervous with you then.

0:16:55 > 0:16:57Sacha's nerves are catching.

0:16:57 > 0:16:59Sorry.

0:17:02 > 0:17:05You always forget this stuff, don't you?

0:17:05 > 0:17:07You just go blank on TV.

0:17:07 > 0:17:10Good recovery from Michael, but will the others follow suit?

0:17:10 > 0:17:14Hi, I'm Mohammed. My favourite colours are black and white,

0:17:14 > 0:17:18- like the yin-yang symbol.- Ad lib, that's what it's all about.

0:17:18 > 0:17:21- Hi, my name's Taylor. - I like listening to music

0:17:21 > 0:17:25and the question I've asked myself plenty of times, can I sing?

0:17:25 > 0:17:27Really good job, well done.

0:17:27 > 0:17:30Last in is 13-year-old Joanne from Coventry.

0:17:30 > 0:17:33Can she find the courage to present her real personality?

0:17:33 > 0:17:39Hi, my name's Joanne. I love singing but I lack confidence.

0:17:39 > 0:17:43And...that's it really.

0:17:43 > 0:17:45Nice to meet you, how are you doing?

0:17:45 > 0:17:48From the very beginning, Joanne's nerves

0:17:48 > 0:17:52have at times been uncontrollable.

0:17:52 > 0:17:57Ah, Joanne, I'm sorry. Ah, are you going to be OK?

0:17:57 > 0:17:59But she's shown real promise.

0:17:59 > 0:18:03# Amazing grace

0:18:03 > 0:18:09# How sweet the sound... #

0:18:09 > 0:18:13Great. What a great voice, and has no idea.

0:18:13 > 0:18:14Well done. Thank you.

0:18:14 > 0:18:17Joanne has got a long way to go, I think.

0:18:17 > 0:18:19It's a stark reminder for Gareth

0:18:19 > 0:18:22just how big a challenge he's taken on.

0:18:22 > 0:18:25What this has shown is that it doesn't matter if it's singing

0:18:25 > 0:18:29or presenting, you've got to feel good about yourself.

0:18:29 > 0:18:32You've got to feel confident about who you are

0:18:32 > 0:18:35and that's very difficult to solve.

0:18:35 > 0:18:38These children dream of being able to sing with confidence

0:18:38 > 0:18:41but even the biggest pop stars

0:18:41 > 0:18:44have had trouble performing and being themselves.

0:18:44 > 0:18:47I don't really like to look at people in the eye.

0:18:47 > 0:18:51I don't find that's a good way for me to engage because it throws me.

0:18:51 > 0:18:53Doing it with family is helpful,

0:18:53 > 0:18:56singing in front of them, practising in front of friends.

0:18:56 > 0:18:58Don't take it too seriously.

0:18:58 > 0:19:01Yeah, that will come out on stage.

0:19:01 > 0:19:03People are going to go, they're conscious of how they are.

0:19:03 > 0:19:06If you're comfortable, people like to see that.

0:19:06 > 0:19:09People like to see you enjoying yourself.

0:19:14 > 0:19:16Look!

0:19:16 > 0:19:20In 10 weeks' time, these desperately shy singers will be fronting

0:19:20 > 0:19:23a nationwide choir on Children In Need.

0:19:23 > 0:19:27Today, they're taking their first step towards their final

0:19:27 > 0:19:31big performance, singing in front of each other for the very first time.

0:19:31 > 0:19:34As soon as I saw the red carpet and that sign

0:19:34 > 0:19:40saying the big performance premier, I was about to fall over and cry.

0:19:40 > 0:19:44My heart's beating really, really fast.

0:19:44 > 0:19:49My stomach feels like I'm going to be sick because I'm that scared.

0:19:49 > 0:19:52It's very difficult because this is a frightening thing

0:19:52 > 0:19:56but they need to conquer this. These are very nervous children.

0:19:56 > 0:19:58This is it, your vocal premiere.

0:19:58 > 0:20:02This is the first time you're all going to sing in front of each other.

0:20:02 > 0:20:04It's a really big moment.

0:20:04 > 0:20:07Before we do that, I've got a very special message

0:20:07 > 0:20:09from some celebrity friends.

0:20:09 > 0:20:11Hi, guys!

0:20:11 > 0:20:13This is JLS right about now.

0:20:13 > 0:20:16Listen, everyone, if you feel the nerves, don't.

0:20:16 > 0:20:19All you need to do is sit back, smile and enjoy yourself.

0:20:19 > 0:20:23Have as much fun as possible. All right, guys? Good luck.

0:20:23 > 0:20:25- We'll see you later.- Bye, guys.

0:20:25 > 0:20:30- Has that made you feel a bit better now?- A little bit.

0:20:31 > 0:20:35Singing in front of an audience is extremely daunting.

0:20:35 > 0:20:38Michael and Molly have the added pressure of going first.

0:20:38 > 0:20:41Can they rely on each other to get through it?

0:20:42 > 0:20:45# I can show you the world

0:20:45 > 0:20:48# Shining, simmering, splendid... #

0:20:49 > 0:20:53Michael starts off well but struggles with the chorus.

0:20:54 > 0:20:56# ..world

0:20:56 > 0:20:59# A fantastic point of view...

0:20:59 > 0:21:02# Point of view... #

0:21:02 > 0:21:05It's left to Molly to get it back on track.

0:21:05 > 0:21:09# From way up here, it's crystal clear

0:21:09 > 0:21:15# That now I'm in a whole new world with you. #

0:21:16 > 0:21:18APPLAUSE

0:21:18 > 0:21:21Well done, you two. Really well done.

0:21:21 > 0:21:24I'd like to see both of you loosen up a bit more,

0:21:24 > 0:21:27really start to enjoy yourself.

0:21:27 > 0:21:30I didn't see as much personality as I'd like to.

0:21:30 > 0:21:34It was OK for most of it and then it went a little bit wrong.

0:21:34 > 0:21:37We brought it back and we enjoyed it by the end.

0:21:37 > 0:21:40Sacha's fear of performing is so severe,

0:21:40 > 0:21:44she was shaking uncontrollably in her first audition.

0:21:46 > 0:21:50Can she find the courage to sing with her duet partner, James, today?

0:21:52 > 0:21:55# We're soaring, flying

0:21:55 > 0:22:01# There's not a star in heaven that we can't reach

0:22:01 > 0:22:06# If we're trying, so we're breaking free... #

0:22:06 > 0:22:10After a promising start, Sacha's nerves take over.

0:22:10 > 0:22:13# We're breaking free

0:22:13 > 0:22:16# Flying

0:22:16 > 0:22:22BOTH: # There's not a star in heaven that we can't reach

0:22:24 > 0:22:26BOTH: # Yeah, we're breaking free

0:22:26 > 0:22:29# Oh, we're breaking free... #

0:22:29 > 0:22:31APPLAUSE

0:22:31 > 0:22:34Wow! You're shaking like a leaf. Show me your hand.

0:22:34 > 0:22:37I've never seen anyone shake that much.

0:22:37 > 0:22:40That's what we have to get rid of, this terror.

0:22:40 > 0:22:43The beginning, when you started, you started really well,

0:22:43 > 0:22:45but you broke down. What happened?

0:22:45 > 0:22:47We were singing and I felt really good

0:22:47 > 0:22:51and then suddenly it got to me that I was singing and boom.

0:22:51 > 0:22:53It went completely wrong.

0:22:53 > 0:22:56I need to do it again without all these nerves.

0:22:59 > 0:23:02Next up is Charlize and Taylor, singing Higher

0:23:02 > 0:23:05by Kylie Minogue and Taio Cruz.

0:23:05 > 0:23:09# We know how to get down on the floor... Floor.

0:23:09 > 0:23:12# Experienced in moves you can't ignore

0:23:12 > 0:23:15# Higher, higher

0:23:15 > 0:23:18# Higher off the ground... #

0:23:18 > 0:23:20This is me and you together.

0:23:20 > 0:23:24Confusion over who sings what sees them falter.

0:23:24 > 0:23:27And they find it hard to recover.

0:23:35 > 0:23:37All right, you two, well done.

0:23:37 > 0:23:40He didn't know it so I was like, "Get the song right."

0:23:40 > 0:23:45But he'd probably tell me to get the song right now. It was a bit weird.

0:23:45 > 0:23:47But, yeah, I'm happy that I got through.

0:23:47 > 0:23:52Mohammed and Imogen were embarrassed by their song's soppy lyrics.

0:23:52 > 0:23:55Will they deliver a convincing performance?

0:23:55 > 0:23:58# Standing here beside you

0:23:58 > 0:24:01# Want so much to give you

0:24:01 > 0:24:05# This love in my heart and my feeling for you...

0:24:07 > 0:24:10# Don't care about that...

0:24:29 > 0:24:33I wouldn't make you do this if I didn't think it would do you good.

0:24:33 > 0:24:37She must get it this time or risk a massive setback.

0:24:37 > 0:24:38# Let them see we're crazy

0:24:38 > 0:24:40# I don't care about that

0:24:40 > 0:24:43# Put your hand in my hand, baby

0:26:32 > 0:26:35# Me and you

0:26:35 > 0:26:38# It just takes two... #

0:26:38 > 0:26:40APPLAUSE

0:26:42 > 0:26:44Well done, girls.

0:26:44 > 0:26:46You got it together by the chorus, didn't you?

0:26:46 > 0:26:50Then you started to look at each other and it was much more fun.

0:26:50 > 0:26:52I know that was really scary.

0:26:52 > 0:26:55I'm glad you've got over that first hurdle.

0:26:55 > 0:27:00It's hard because you have to face your fears and try.

0:27:00 > 0:27:02That's all you can do, really.

0:27:02 > 0:27:06These children, all bullied for their love of singing,

0:27:22 > 0:27:25I know it's there but I'm not getting it from all of them.

0:27:25 > 0:27:27But choosing the soloists

0:27:27 > 0:27:30and turning these fearful performers into singers

0:27:30 > 0:27:34capable of fronting a nationwide choir is a massive challenge.

0:27:34 > 0:27:36I thought that was good. It showed potential.
