0:01:19 > 0:01:23The Lancasterian isn't just any old school.

0:01:24 > 0:01:27Our school is brilliant because...

0:01:27 > 0:01:31We have a great hall where we can play sports

0:01:31 > 0:01:33and practise our wheelchair dancing.

0:01:36 > 0:01:38We've got brilliant classrooms.

0:01:38 > 0:01:42And an amazing sensory room.

0:01:42 > 0:01:45- No.- Yes.- No.- Yes.- No.- Yes.

0:01:47 > 0:01:49We've got a fun playground.

0:01:49 > 0:01:52We just don't have a place to hang out on our own.

0:01:52 > 0:01:55- Sit! - HE BLOWS WHISTLE

0:01:55 > 0:01:58Dengineers, we want you to come into our school and build us

0:01:58 > 0:02:00a massive den!

0:02:00 > 0:02:02CHEERING

0:02:07 > 0:02:09Ah!

0:02:14 > 0:02:16- Yeah! Don't chicken out now, Mark.- Never!

0:02:16 > 0:02:19We're about to surprise an entire school assembly.

0:02:19 > 0:02:22- It's round here look! - It's in there. Come on!

0:02:22 > 0:02:25More than 100 pupils and teachers are gathering in the hall.

0:02:25 > 0:02:27Get down, get down!

0:02:27 > 0:02:30For what they think is a normal end of term assembly!

0:02:30 > 0:02:35Today, there are so many things that we are proud of.

0:02:35 > 0:02:37Quick, quick, quick!

0:02:37 > 0:02:40We are going to be showing you some of the things that people...

0:02:40 > 0:02:43The head, Mrs Cass, is expecting us.

0:02:43 > 0:02:48But everyone else, including our seven Dengineers, have no idea.

0:02:48 > 0:02:49This way.

0:02:50 > 0:02:53- Hi.- Hi. - Would you sign in for me?

0:02:53 > 0:02:55Sign in quick, quick, quick.

0:02:55 > 0:02:58While everyone's being entertained by a dance, we're poised

0:02:58 > 0:03:00ready to pounce.

0:03:00 > 0:03:03- It's all going off in there, it's a proper party!- I know!

0:03:03 > 0:03:06- This is our scariest yet. - I know, I'm really nervous.

0:03:06 > 0:03:09It's scary with a couple of children, let alone this many.

0:03:09 > 0:03:11Wish us luck!

0:03:12 > 0:03:15- Oh! - Hello, Mrs Cass!

0:03:15 > 0:03:18- Hello! - CHEERING

0:03:18 > 0:03:22Hello! My name is Lauren! This is Mark.

0:03:22 > 0:03:27We are from CBBC's The Dengineers

0:03:27 > 0:03:31and we've got some pretty exciting news for you all.

0:03:31 > 0:03:34Are you ready for this?

0:03:34 > 0:03:39We are going to be building you guys your very own

0:03:39 > 0:03:43massive dream den just for the school.

0:03:43 > 0:03:45CHEERING

0:03:48 > 0:03:51Mrs Cass, do you mind if some of the guys come and help us?

0:03:51 > 0:03:54We are going to need help. There is so much to do.

0:03:54 > 0:03:58- Yeah, they'll be more than willing. - Thanks, Mrs Cass! Bye!- Bye, guys.

0:03:58 > 0:04:01- Let's go, guys. - Come on then, mate, let's go!

0:04:01 > 0:04:05Before we start, some of our Dengineers and their teaching

0:04:05 > 0:04:08assistants have agreed to show us around their school.

0:04:08 > 0:04:12- Go on, Morgan!- Home to nearly 100 kids with complex medical conditions

0:04:12 > 0:04:15- from all over Manchester. - I'm going!

0:04:15 > 0:04:17Before Mark gets too battered,

0:04:17 > 0:04:21let's go and find out more about this amazing school.

0:04:21 > 0:04:24So, guys, tell me what is your school like?

0:04:24 > 0:04:28Sometimes really good, but sometimes the teachers can be really grumpy!

0:04:28 > 0:04:32- Really! Ooh, guys. - All the teachers are grumpy!

0:04:32 > 0:04:35Do you hear this? And Ben, when it's playtime,

0:04:35 > 0:04:38where do you go, where do you hang out?

0:04:38 > 0:04:40Near the climbing frame.

0:04:40 > 0:04:44And then sometimes it's under the canopy

0:04:44 > 0:04:49and we just talk and chat about things.

0:04:49 > 0:04:53Here's the playground the kids currently use.

0:04:53 > 0:04:56It's great, but for those in wheelchairs

0:04:56 > 0:04:59it's a bit limited cos they can't go everywhere.

0:04:59 > 0:05:03The den has to be about creating a space where everyone can go

0:05:03 > 0:05:07and have fun and where teachers definitely aren't allowed!

0:05:09 > 0:05:12Tak, what sort of stuff do you think you guys will be doing in the den?

0:05:12 > 0:05:15Talking, gaming...

0:05:15 > 0:05:19- Having fun?- Yeah! - Chilling out?- Yeah.

0:05:19 > 0:05:21- It's going to do everything! - Yeah!- I'm excited about this!

0:05:21 > 0:05:23We've got a lot of work to do, guys.

0:05:23 > 0:05:25Are you going to give us a hand?

0:05:25 > 0:05:28- ALL:- Yes! - That's what I like to hear!

0:05:28 > 0:05:31So what's the best way to turn the ideas of a whole school

0:05:31 > 0:05:34into one big den?

0:05:35 > 0:05:40A trip to the Dengineers mobile HQ with its den-tastic brain.

0:05:40 > 0:05:42That's how!

0:05:42 > 0:05:45And Ethan's agreed to come on board.

0:05:45 > 0:05:49Tell me what pictures you like and what sort of ideas you like.

0:05:49 > 0:05:51- The cars.- Cars!

0:05:51 > 0:05:54- Cars, yeah? Why do you want the cars?- Cos we like racing.

0:05:54 > 0:05:57You like racing cars. OK, let's stick them right in there.

0:05:57 > 0:05:59What about a stage?

0:05:59 > 0:06:02- Yeah.- A stage you can do the dancing on there.

0:06:02 > 0:06:04What else would you like to do in the den?

0:06:04 > 0:06:06Play hide-and-seek.

0:06:06 > 0:06:08Something like that? Yeah?

0:06:08 > 0:06:12- Homework - do some homework in the den?- Yeah.

0:06:12 > 0:06:13Most importantly...

0:06:13 > 0:06:15Have a laugh!

0:06:15 > 0:06:18There you go, have a laugh!

0:06:18 > 0:06:20Ethan's laid out an awesome den plan.

0:06:20 > 0:06:25It's got to be a place to race, to perform, to chill and laugh,

0:06:25 > 0:06:27but most importantly,

0:06:27 > 0:06:32somewhere every child in the school can access and enjoy.

0:06:32 > 0:06:35- Love it!- Are we ready for this?- Yes! - Let's do it!- Let's do it!

0:06:35 > 0:06:38With so much work to do on this massive project,

0:06:38 > 0:06:41one Dengineer just isn't going to do it.

0:06:41 > 0:06:43CHEERING We need seven!

0:06:46 > 0:06:48We've got a plan.

0:06:48 > 0:06:51Here's the quiet corner of the school grounds

0:06:51 > 0:06:52where the den will be built.

0:06:52 > 0:06:55It looks pretty, but the uneven paving

0:06:55 > 0:06:59and the grass means the whole area is inaccessible to wheelchairs.

0:07:00 > 0:07:05So it's time to get the diggers in and start changing it.

0:07:08 > 0:07:11Well, I'm afraid to say, teachers, but from here on in it is

0:07:11 > 0:07:15Dengineers only, which means for you guys, it's detention time!

0:07:15 > 0:07:18Go on off you go! No more for you!

0:07:18 > 0:07:22- See you later, guys, bye! - Bye!

0:07:22 > 0:07:24We are in charge now, guys!

0:07:24 > 0:07:26- ALL:- Yes!

0:07:26 > 0:07:29You know what, I don't trust those two not to peep.

0:07:29 > 0:07:31Excuse me!

0:07:31 > 0:07:33Do the bottom on this one.

0:07:33 > 0:07:36They need to get working.

0:07:36 > 0:07:38So Beck, Ben and Ethan need to give me

0:07:38 > 0:07:41a hand covering all these windows.

0:07:41 > 0:07:45Like the den we're building, even this job is supersized.

0:07:45 > 0:07:48They're thoroughly enjoying being in charge

0:07:48 > 0:07:50and keeping secrets from me

0:07:50 > 0:07:53and they keep telling me that it's going to be pink

0:07:53 > 0:07:56and there are going to be castles and I hate pink castles.

0:07:56 > 0:07:57Well done, guys.

0:07:57 > 0:08:01I think if any of your teachers peep through at the den now,

0:08:01 > 0:08:04they would be very, very naughty, wouldn't they?

0:08:04 > 0:08:05Yeah!

0:08:05 > 0:08:07Yeah, no peeping, Mrs Cass!

0:08:07 > 0:08:09So, for such a huge challenge,

0:08:09 > 0:08:14it's clear we are going to need a designer full of big ideas.

0:08:14 > 0:08:17And that could only mean Sege!

0:08:17 > 0:08:2136 years spent building amazing structures for very demanding

0:08:21 > 0:08:25customers means he's our man.

0:08:25 > 0:08:27He finds inspiration all around him

0:08:27 > 0:08:30and he's dying to bring some of that magic to Manchester.

0:08:36 > 0:08:41Day one on site, and Sege has also brought the rain with him.

0:08:43 > 0:08:47With only five days to complete the entire job,

0:08:47 > 0:08:51his team need to concentrate on job one - getting the den bases and

0:08:51 > 0:08:56the ground precisely level so this can be a wheelchair-friendly den.

0:08:56 > 0:09:00Between the showers, Dengineers Dieumerci, Morgan

0:09:00 > 0:09:04and Cleo head over to find out more about Sege's master plan.

0:09:06 > 0:09:09There's a lot of you guys, so one den isn't big enough.

0:09:09 > 0:09:12- No, no, no! - No, not at all.

0:09:12 > 0:09:14- No, no!- So we've gone for five dens!

0:09:14 > 0:09:17- Five dens! - Yeah!

0:09:17 > 0:09:19- How about that, five dens! - Wow!

0:09:19 > 0:09:22And what we're going to do also is we're going to link them

0:09:22 > 0:09:25up with a path, so you're able to charge backwards

0:09:25 > 0:09:27and forwards to whichever one you want.

0:09:27 > 0:09:30And Sege has brilliantly designed the dens themselves to

0:09:30 > 0:09:34reflect the kids' love for all things racing and transport.

0:09:34 > 0:09:37Now, guys, I need you to tell me

0:09:37 > 0:09:39what sort of transport you would like in the dens.

0:09:39 > 0:09:44- Something very cool. - Something very cool.

0:09:44 > 0:09:47- Something that's too cool for school and what would that be?- Cars!

0:09:47 > 0:09:50- Cars!- Cars! can you do it, can you do a car?

0:09:50 > 0:09:52I can do a car. OK!

0:09:52 > 0:09:54- Train!- You want a train?

0:09:54 > 0:09:57Train. The car versus a train. I love it!

0:09:57 > 0:10:01- Too cool for school! - Yeah.- Oh, yeah!

0:10:01 > 0:10:05At last, we know the theme - a transport den.

0:10:05 > 0:10:09Sege has come up with an ambitious plan for multiple dens,

0:10:09 > 0:10:11all joined together by a brightly coloured pathway

0:10:11 > 0:10:14all the kids at the school can use.

0:10:14 > 0:10:18The whole area will be a safe place away from the teachers, to play,

0:10:18 > 0:10:21eat and just chill out.

0:10:21 > 0:10:26As the rain begins to ease, the first den structure flies up.

0:10:28 > 0:10:31It's only day one and already

0:10:31 > 0:10:33I've been called into the teachers' office!

0:10:33 > 0:10:36Thankfully, Mrs Upton and Mrs Cass just want to tell me

0:10:36 > 0:10:38more about their awesome kids.

0:10:38 > 0:10:40So tell me about some of the kids here.

0:10:40 > 0:10:42What are their personalities like?

0:10:42 > 0:10:45Well, a full range of personalities - some very quiet,

0:10:45 > 0:10:47shy and some very big bubbly,

0:10:47 > 0:10:50enthusiastic, confident young people.

0:10:50 > 0:10:52Julie, what does this den mean to the kids?

0:10:52 > 0:10:56There are so many things that, as children, we take for granted.

0:10:56 > 0:10:59We take it for granted that we can go to our mate's house for tea

0:10:59 > 0:11:02or that we can go swimming together.

0:11:02 > 0:11:05But I think if you've got four friends all in a wheelchair,

0:11:05 > 0:11:08it's really hard to find the space to do that.

0:11:08 > 0:11:12So I think the den for our kids, will give them the time

0:11:12 > 0:11:17and the space to just do all those things what's done in school.

0:11:17 > 0:11:19Rumour has it, the word on the street, is that

0:11:19 > 0:11:22when they're not looking, you guys are going to be trying to

0:11:22 > 0:11:24hang out in there and use the space. Is that right?

0:11:24 > 0:11:28- Maybe.- We could have staff meetings there.- Yeah, that would be good!

0:11:28 > 0:11:29As I said, no adults allowed.

0:11:33 > 0:11:36Unfortunately, it's not all smiles outside.

0:11:36 > 0:11:39the rain has hit progress on day one hard.

0:11:39 > 0:11:42- The weather's been abysmal. - It's horrible today.

0:11:42 > 0:11:44It's been a real Manchester rainy day.

0:11:44 > 0:11:45What effect has the rain had?

0:11:45 > 0:11:48It's slowed us down, but the guys have been fantastic,

0:11:48 > 0:11:51- everybody's working hard. - How are you feeling schedule-wise?

0:11:51 > 0:11:55Apprehensive! I'm feeling a bit sort of "Will we, won't we?"

0:11:55 > 0:11:57on each stage, so you never know.

0:11:57 > 0:12:00As long as the weather holds off we should be OK.

0:12:01 > 0:12:04So we always knew that this was going to be a massive, task

0:12:04 > 0:12:06for the Dengineers team.

0:12:06 > 0:12:09But being here on site today has really made me

0:12:09 > 0:12:11realise how massive this is.

0:12:11 > 0:12:13I mean, just look behind me!

0:12:13 > 0:12:17We have got mud everywhere, there is gravel everywhere.

0:12:17 > 0:12:19And if we suffer any more setbacks, we are

0:12:19 > 0:12:23going to find ourselves in real trouble.

0:12:23 > 0:12:27Keep the faith, Lauren. Dengineers, we believe in you!

0:12:31 > 0:12:35Early on day two and the site is a hive of activity,

0:12:35 > 0:12:38but once again the sun hasn't come to the party,

0:12:38 > 0:12:40despite Sege's best efforts.

0:12:40 > 0:12:44I've been doing a stop-the-rain dance all morning.

0:12:44 > 0:12:47I've been wishing, crossing everything I can cross, jumping up

0:12:47 > 0:12:52and down, rolling all over the floor, just to make the rain stop.

0:12:52 > 0:12:55Whatever you've been doing, Sege, it's working!

0:12:55 > 0:12:57And that's good news for the ground,

0:12:57 > 0:12:59because to make it suitable for wheelchairs,

0:12:59 > 0:13:03first, we lay 40 tonnes of gravel and hard-core, which level it out

0:13:03 > 0:13:05and allow water to drain away.

0:13:05 > 0:13:10That would take a whopping 500 trips in a wheelbarrow, so it's a good

0:13:10 > 0:13:14job for Lauren we've got a dumper truck or SHE'D be doing it!

0:13:14 > 0:13:17This job will still take a while, so I'm taking a few of our Dengineers

0:13:17 > 0:13:21off site to a place that's sure to fuel their need for speed.

0:13:26 > 0:13:28Morning!

0:13:28 > 0:13:30'Morgan, Cleo, Ethan, Beck

0:13:30 > 0:13:34'and Ben are here to experience a high flying mode of transport...'

0:13:34 > 0:13:37I'm pleased to announce the Dengineers special charter

0:13:37 > 0:13:39- flight is now ready for boarding. - Whoo!

0:13:39 > 0:13:41..a passenger jet!

0:13:41 > 0:13:46This looks like a real plane you would fly away on holiday on,

0:13:46 > 0:13:50but in fact it's a Boeing 737 simulator.

0:13:50 > 0:13:53This is Richard and he's a real pilot.

0:13:53 > 0:13:56But he's not flying today, the Dengineers are.

0:13:56 > 0:13:59Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen.

0:13:59 > 0:14:02This is Ben your captain speaking.

0:14:02 > 0:14:05- I hope you enjoy this flight. - CHEERING

0:14:05 > 0:14:07Captain Ben!

0:14:07 > 0:14:09Get the engine started...

0:14:09 > 0:14:12Once Richard gets us safely airborne...

0:14:12 > 0:14:14CHEERING

0:14:14 > 0:14:16We're up in the air!

0:14:16 > 0:14:17This looks cool!

0:14:17 > 0:14:20Captain Ben takes the controls.

0:14:20 > 0:14:22Now this is all you.

0:14:22 > 0:14:23Nice job, Ben.

0:14:23 > 0:14:26If you turn it a little bit to the right.

0:14:26 > 0:14:28Nicely done, Ben. Well done, buddy.

0:14:28 > 0:14:31Nice one, Captain Ben!

0:14:31 > 0:14:33If we just pop that over your head, Cleo.

0:14:33 > 0:14:36And there's no shortage of other Dengineer pilots

0:14:36 > 0:14:37waiting in the wings.

0:14:37 > 0:14:41- What's it like to fly an aeroplane? - Good!- Good, yeah?- Yeah!- Excellent!

0:14:41 > 0:14:44If I'm not careful you might end up taking my job!

0:14:46 > 0:14:49Slowly pull this back, start pulling it back towards you.

0:14:49 > 0:14:52- And watch the nose start to rise! - Come on, Morgan!

0:14:52 > 0:14:56- How cool is that?- You can see, look, you're flying it now!

0:14:56 > 0:14:58I'm flying!

0:14:58 > 0:15:03And a nice right-hand turn and there we go. Yeah! Perfect!

0:15:03 > 0:15:05Well done, nice and smooth!

0:15:05 > 0:15:09Finally, it falls to Beck to bring this awesome den day out

0:15:09 > 0:15:11back down to earth.

0:15:11 > 0:15:15Easy, Beck, easy! Are you feeling confident about landing?

0:15:15 > 0:15:19Yeah. We'll be now landing at your airport of Dengineers.

0:15:21 > 0:15:22And a touch to the right!

0:15:23 > 0:15:26And...touchdown!

0:15:26 > 0:15:28CHEERING

0:15:28 > 0:15:30Yeah! Very smooth!

0:15:37 > 0:15:40Back on site, we're not flying so high.

0:15:40 > 0:15:43Although there are a few hints of the magic to come, progress

0:15:43 > 0:15:47is still muddy, slow and, frankly, a bit worrying.

0:15:47 > 0:15:50OK, Mark, you can see all the edge boarding going in for the paths.

0:15:50 > 0:15:53'I think Sege needs a legendary Wrighty pep talk.'

0:15:53 > 0:15:56Sege, the king of dens,

0:15:56 > 0:15:59- you never worry me on any job you've ever done.- Right!

0:15:59 > 0:16:03Right, but we're standing here, day two, with three days to go...

0:16:03 > 0:16:07- Yeah.- ..and there looks like there's loads to go.

0:16:07 > 0:16:10Normally, you'd be further on in the whole process, wouldn't you?

0:16:10 > 0:16:13It's just very tight, where there's a lot of work to do in

0:16:13 > 0:16:17a small amount of time, but I hope we're getting out of that now.

0:16:17 > 0:16:20Well, the thought of never having a den ready on time is always

0:16:20 > 0:16:22a nerve-racking feeling,

0:16:22 > 0:16:25so make me go home, rest assured, we're going to get this done!

0:16:25 > 0:16:28- We're going to get it done! - Promise me!

0:16:28 > 0:16:31Promise ya. There's always going to be a den ready!

0:16:31 > 0:16:33Sege never ever lets you down!

0:16:33 > 0:16:37I think I believe him, but there's no denying this is the biggest

0:16:37 > 0:16:40challenge ever faced by the Dengineers.

0:16:43 > 0:16:47But a new day brings the sun, and finally

0:16:47 > 0:16:50some tantalising hints of how this space will look

0:16:50 > 0:16:54when it's transformed into a transport-themed wonderland.

0:16:54 > 0:16:56That'll do, yeah. Wait a minute.

0:16:58 > 0:17:03Inside, the curiosity is getting the better of head Mrs Cass.

0:17:03 > 0:17:04Excuse me!

0:17:04 > 0:17:06'I noticed that there was a bit of a gap.

0:17:06 > 0:17:09'I don't think everyone had put everything up neatly,'

0:17:09 > 0:17:11but no-one's been looking as far as I know.

0:17:11 > 0:17:15'Hm, so you won't have seen all the progress we're making today.'

0:17:15 > 0:17:20The joiners are really getting on with the wooden den structures,

0:17:20 > 0:17:24which allows our army of Dengineers painters to get to work.

0:17:26 > 0:17:31Meanwhile, Sege needs help with a colourful transport-themed upcycle.

0:17:35 > 0:17:38Hi, guys. I want to tell you about our upcycle project, OK?

0:17:38 > 0:17:42What we thought would be a really good idea

0:17:42 > 0:17:44- was to upcycle some tyres... - Cool!

0:17:44 > 0:17:47- ..into plant pots. - Yes!- Now, I've got tyres here,

0:17:47 > 0:17:50but the first thing that needs to be done is we need to paint them.

0:17:50 > 0:17:53Andy's going to help you, so can I leave you to get on with it?

0:17:53 > 0:17:56- Yeah. - See you, then, good luck.

0:17:56 > 0:17:59These tyres will make perfect plant pots once they're painted up,

0:17:59 > 0:18:02lined and filled with soil.

0:18:02 > 0:18:06Just keep moving the brush back and forth, get it into all the gaps.

0:18:10 > 0:18:12I'm really excited about the den.

0:18:16 > 0:18:19I think I'm the dirtiest. Hold out your hands.

0:18:19 > 0:18:23- Yeah, definitely!- I think I might win, actually. What do you think?

0:18:23 > 0:18:24Yeah!

0:18:24 > 0:18:27After a very long time watching paint dry...

0:18:27 > 0:18:29- Shall we get some soil inside? - Yes!- Yes!

0:18:29 > 0:18:31Yeah, let's do it.

0:18:31 > 0:18:34..the sun comes out and Tak Ho, Ben and Dieumerci

0:18:34 > 0:18:37have arrived to finish the job.

0:18:37 > 0:18:41We've added a special drainage liner into the tyres.

0:18:41 > 0:18:44And in it goes. Nice one!

0:18:44 > 0:18:47And once they're full of soil, it's time to get planting.

0:18:47 > 0:18:50- OK, guys, I've got some plants here. Which ones do you want?- Blue!

0:18:57 > 0:19:01Pop it into the hole. There we go!

0:19:01 > 0:19:03And after a quick water,

0:19:03 > 0:19:06the main man's back to inspect the job.

0:19:06 > 0:19:09Wow, these look fantastic. Really good.

0:19:09 > 0:19:13- Let's go and get them in the den. - Yeah!- Great, let's get them done!

0:19:19 > 0:19:23A busy day is drawing to a close on site

0:19:23 > 0:19:27and the all-important work on the ground is almost finished.

0:19:27 > 0:19:31A level surface means a vital job can now commence -

0:19:31 > 0:19:33laying the weatherproof pathways,

0:19:33 > 0:19:35which will link all the den structures together.

0:19:40 > 0:19:42A special mixture of rubber chips

0:19:42 > 0:19:46and glue are carefully spread over 90 square metres of pathways,

0:19:46 > 0:19:50to create an awesome wheelchair-friendly racing track.

0:19:52 > 0:19:55It's a time-consuming, tough job

0:19:55 > 0:19:59for the Dengineers. Tonight could be a late one.

0:20:03 > 0:20:06It's day four and you'll be able to see little hints of the theme

0:20:06 > 0:20:09coming through now - it's all about the transport theme.

0:20:09 > 0:20:12So you can see behind me there's the car, the aeroplane,

0:20:12 > 0:20:13the railway carriage.

0:20:13 > 0:20:15Then we'll encompass the hot-air balloon, the lorry...

0:20:15 > 0:20:17It's all coming together now.

0:20:19 > 0:20:23To make sure Sege is sticking to the plans, six Dengineers

0:20:23 > 0:20:26are on their way for a site visit.

0:20:27 > 0:20:29It's big, brilliant and amazing!

0:20:29 > 0:20:32And they've got a lot of questions.

0:20:32 > 0:20:34How do we get in the den?

0:20:34 > 0:20:36Well, that's all revealed tomorrow, that is!

0:20:36 > 0:20:38How big is the den inside?

0:20:38 > 0:20:42All of you could fit in there comfortably.

0:20:42 > 0:20:44Why have we got a telephone box on it?

0:20:44 > 0:20:48Well, did you not want a telephone box, then?

0:20:48 > 0:20:51- What's that blue one going to be? - It's another form of transport.

0:20:51 > 0:20:54- A train! - All will be revealed tomorrow.

0:20:54 > 0:20:56- CHANTING:- Sege, Sege, Sege, Sege!

0:20:56 > 0:20:58No, I can't tell you. I can't tell you!

0:20:58 > 0:21:00The kids are very demanding.

0:21:00 > 0:21:03They know exactly what they want and don't settle for anything less.

0:21:03 > 0:21:07- Can I go, please? - No cup of tea for you, Sege.

0:21:07 > 0:21:10- Bye, see you all later. See ya! Bye! - ALL:- Bye!

0:21:17 > 0:21:20We're not letting the kids back in until the reveal,

0:21:20 > 0:21:23so now it's all about adding the big visual features that will

0:21:23 > 0:21:24bring the dens alive.

0:21:24 > 0:21:28And making sure all structures are prepared

0:21:28 > 0:21:31to face the Manchester weather.

0:21:31 > 0:21:34Power is hooked up in the main den.

0:21:34 > 0:21:37The red bus gets its bold waterproof top coat.

0:21:37 > 0:21:40The stage is being hand painted with a graffiti backdrop.

0:21:40 > 0:21:42Is that in the centre?

0:21:42 > 0:21:47And the magical hot-air balloon is inflated, using polystyrene balls!

0:21:47 > 0:21:51While all this is going on, sit back, it's time for a den hack.

0:21:56 > 0:21:58If you have one,

0:21:58 > 0:22:01using a tablet can be a great way of making your journey even more fun.

0:22:01 > 0:22:04And I've got a great idea to make using your tablet

0:22:04 > 0:22:06even easier in the car!

0:22:06 > 0:22:09This is my Tablet Holder Hack!

0:22:09 > 0:22:11Get yourself an old metal coat hanger.

0:22:11 > 0:22:15Grab the middle and pull it to make a diamond shape.

0:22:15 > 0:22:18Then push the bottom of the diamond up towards the hook end

0:22:18 > 0:22:21to make a shelf.

0:22:21 > 0:22:24Put an elastic band around the neck of the hanger,

0:22:24 > 0:22:27and then hook the whole thing around the back of the front headrest.

0:22:27 > 0:22:30Slide in the tablet.

0:22:30 > 0:22:32Secure it with a rubber band.

0:22:32 > 0:22:34And you're good to go.

0:22:34 > 0:22:38And that's it! My awesome Tablet Holder Hack.

0:22:38 > 0:22:39Pretty good, right?

0:22:41 > 0:22:46Reveal day has finally arrived at the Lancasterian School mega-den.

0:22:46 > 0:22:50Designer Sege and his team are battling to beat the toughest

0:22:50 > 0:22:52challenge the Dengineers have ever faced.

0:22:55 > 0:23:00Sege, not that I expected anything different, it is looking fantastic.

0:23:00 > 0:23:02There's still loads to do but it's the serious stuff now.

0:23:02 > 0:23:06Everybody mucking in for last knockings to make sure

0:23:06 > 0:23:08we get all the colours on, the last bits

0:23:08 > 0:23:10and pieces all attached to where they've got to go.

0:23:10 > 0:23:13The site is a colourful hive of activity.

0:23:15 > 0:23:2055 square metres of turf and 9 tonnes of soil will ensure nature

0:23:20 > 0:23:24spills into the den and wheelchairs can get right up to the trees.

0:23:25 > 0:23:31And one important feature is ready to be fitted - the awesome sign.

0:23:31 > 0:23:35Are you here again? You do know we've got a lot to do, don't you?

0:23:35 > 0:23:41Now, don't tell Sege, but someone's let Mark Wright near a paintbrush.

0:23:43 > 0:23:46- Are you sure that's the right colour?- I dunno.

0:23:46 > 0:23:48I've painted it white but there's red going through it!

0:23:48 > 0:23:50What do you mean? Are you kidding?

0:23:50 > 0:23:52Who's just painted that post?

0:23:52 > 0:23:56Did you like the colour of your shirt and painted it on there too?

0:23:56 > 0:23:58- I was trying to control the situation!- Was it just him?

0:23:58 > 0:24:02- It's just him always! - Well, I'd sack him.- Whoops!

0:24:02 > 0:24:05I do sometimes wonder how we got this job.

0:24:05 > 0:24:09But as this epic den races towards the finish line, thankfully

0:24:09 > 0:24:13the rest of the Dengineers team seem to know what they're doing.
