0:01:20 > 0:01:24- Let's get this show on the road.- No, mate you've got this totally wrong.
0:01:24 > 0:01:26Ella hates cycling! In fact, she wants a den
0:01:26 > 0:01:29so that she can get away from her family's bikes.
0:01:29 > 0:01:31Ah. Better take this back, then.
0:01:31 > 0:01:33Whoa, hang on a second. Let's have a go first.
0:01:33 > 0:01:34Come on then. Hop on.
0:01:34 > 0:01:37- Do you know how to ride these things?- No.
0:01:37 > 0:01:39Just pedal to the metal.
0:01:39 > 0:01:41- OK. Off we go. - Ready?- No.
0:01:41 > 0:01:43LAUREN SCREAMS
0:01:47 > 0:01:49Don't wobble it!
0:01:54 > 0:01:56Today's Dengineer is Ella.
0:01:56 > 0:01:58Ella's dad, Nigel,
0:01:58 > 0:01:59brother, Alec
0:01:59 > 0:02:03and mum, Kath, are all obsessed with cycling,
0:02:03 > 0:02:06but Ella is not so keen, so she got in touch and asked us for help.
0:02:08 > 0:02:10I need help from The Dengineers,
0:02:10 > 0:02:13because everyone in my family loves bikes,
0:02:13 > 0:02:14but I hate bikes.
0:02:16 > 0:02:19There's no space in this house that isn't crammed with bike stuff.
0:02:19 > 0:02:21They're just everywhere.
0:02:21 > 0:02:24My friends feel a bit weird when they come over,
0:02:24 > 0:02:25cos there's just bikes in my room
0:02:25 > 0:02:29and there's nowhere that we can just hang out without bikes being
0:02:29 > 0:02:31everywhere and I just don't have my own space.
0:02:31 > 0:02:33That's why I need a den.
0:02:34 > 0:02:37Please come, Dengineers. I really need your help.
0:02:37 > 0:02:41And help from the Dengineers is just what Ella is going to get.
0:02:41 > 0:02:43She just doesn't know it yet!
0:02:44 > 0:02:47OK, so we're cleverly hidden away in a chippy right across the road
0:02:47 > 0:02:50from a bike shop that Ella regularly gets dragged to by her mum and dad.
0:02:50 > 0:02:53Yeah, she has absolutely no idea that we're here
0:02:53 > 0:02:56or that she is going to be getting her dream den made.
0:02:56 > 0:02:59This is going to be the surprise of a lifetime! Ah!
0:03:00 > 0:03:04The Dengineers team has rigged the bike shop with hidden cameras
0:03:04 > 0:03:06and we are hiding just over the road,
0:03:06 > 0:03:08ready to run over and surprise Ella.
0:03:11 > 0:03:15- I can see them.- Ooh, look at Nigel's hat.- I'm excited but nervous!!!
0:03:15 > 0:03:17Mark, act casual.
0:03:17 > 0:03:20That's too casual. Turn back.
0:03:20 > 0:03:24Ella's mum and dad are in on the act, but Ella doesn't have a clue.
0:03:24 > 0:03:27If she sees us now, the whole surprise is ruined.
0:03:27 > 0:03:29There they are, there they are! Can you see them?
0:03:29 > 0:03:31- They're going in. - They're right there.
0:03:31 > 0:03:33She's not spotted us, so that's good.
0:03:33 > 0:03:35She's in. I think we are safe.
0:03:35 > 0:03:37Brilliant.
0:03:37 > 0:03:40Being dragged to this bike shop is Ella's worst nightmare
0:03:40 > 0:03:42and she's clearly massively bored,
0:03:42 > 0:03:45but we're about to make her day a whole lot better.
0:03:45 > 0:03:48- Let's go.- Now!- Let's go! Let's go! Let's go!
0:03:48 > 0:03:51Quick, quick, quick, quick. Let's go!
0:03:51 > 0:03:53Hope she can't actually see us.
0:03:53 > 0:03:56We're at risk of getting spotted here as we carefully cross the road.
0:03:56 > 0:03:57Run!
0:03:59 > 0:04:01Nigel's doing a great job of distracting Ella,
0:04:01 > 0:04:04while we sneak round the back of the shop.
0:04:06 > 0:04:09But Ella does not have a clue, so I think we are going to be all right.
0:04:13 > 0:04:16Hello. We're looking for an Ella.
0:04:16 > 0:04:18- Oh, wow!- Hello, are you Ella? - Hello Ella!
0:04:18 > 0:04:22- Yeah.- Ella, up you get. Hello. - Hello!- My name is Lauren.
0:04:22 > 0:04:25- Hi.- Hi.- This is Mark. Hi.- Hello.

0:04:28 > 0:04:31THEY ALL LAUGH
0:04:31 > 0:04:33Ella, you got in touch with the show,
0:04:33 > 0:04:34asking if we could help you out
0:04:34 > 0:04:39and you have actually been chosen to build your very own dream den.
0:04:39 > 0:04:41- Yes!- High five, Ella! Yes! - High five, Ella.
0:04:45 > 0:04:48I thought that my mum was going to take me to the opticians
0:04:48 > 0:04:50while Dad stayed here in the bike shop.
0:04:50 > 0:04:52And when they said, "Oh, we'll just be a minute"
0:04:52 > 0:04:53and I was like "Oh, no".
0:04:55 > 0:04:57Hello, we're looking for an Ella.
0:04:57 > 0:05:00Even though I hate this place, it was definitely worth coming in.
0:05:00 > 0:05:05You have actually been chosen to build your very own dream den.
0:05:05 > 0:05:07- Yes!- High five, Ella! Yes!
0:05:07 > 0:05:10I'm really excited about getting my dream den made.
0:05:10 > 0:05:13It means I can escape from the bikes into a safe haven.
0:05:18 > 0:05:21Our first port of call is the Dengineers' Mobile HQ,
0:05:21 > 0:05:26which has got some really cool technology to get this den on track.
0:05:26 > 0:05:29Ella wants a den that will get her as far away from anything
0:05:29 > 0:05:31to do with bikes as possible,
0:05:31 > 0:05:34so she's decided on a Hawaiian beach hut.
0:05:34 > 0:05:35We're going to download all the ideas
0:05:35 > 0:05:39that are in your head and input them into our amazing den design.
0:05:39 > 0:05:41- Shall we have a little look? - Yeah.- Let's go.
0:05:41 > 0:05:44- So, there's loads and loads... - I like that one.
0:05:44 > 0:05:46Yeah, surfboards is a great shout.
0:05:46 > 0:05:48I like these flowers. They're a pretty colour.
0:05:48 > 0:05:52- They kind of immediately remind you of Hawaii, don't they?- Yeah.
0:05:52 > 0:05:54- Look.- Ooh, yeah!
0:05:54 > 0:05:55We could have them, like, outside it.
0:05:55 > 0:05:59These are like, what, wooden carvings?
0:05:59 > 0:06:00I like that one.
0:06:00 > 0:06:03Why did you choose that, Ella, cos you what that colour in or...?
0:06:03 > 0:06:05Yes, I love the, like, kind of gradient effect.
0:06:05 > 0:06:08I want everything to be bright and vibrant.
0:06:08 > 0:06:11Ella's created a mood board full of colour,
0:06:11 > 0:06:13with a chilled-out Hawaiian beach vibe.
0:06:13 > 0:06:16Well, I reckon that looks amazing. Are you happy with it?
0:06:16 > 0:06:17- Yeah, great.- Excellent!
0:06:17 > 0:06:20- I reckon it's time we go and get you kitted up.- Yeah.
0:06:25 > 0:06:27With Ella kitted out in her Dengineers' overalls,
0:06:27 > 0:06:30we're joined by her mum, dad and brother, Alec,
0:06:30 > 0:06:33to have a look at the walled garden to the side of Ella's house
0:06:33 > 0:06:35where the den is going to be.
0:06:35 > 0:06:37So this is it.
0:06:37 > 0:06:39- It look like it's going be hard work.- Yeah.
0:06:39 > 0:06:40But, trust me, we can do it.
0:06:40 > 0:06:42You lot are going to be impressed,
0:06:42 > 0:06:44but I'm afraid to say that is the last thing
0:06:44 > 0:06:45I'm going to say to you about the den.
0:06:45 > 0:06:47Thanks for giving us the space.
0:06:47 > 0:06:49But, for now, you ain't welcome.
0:06:49 > 0:06:51Yeah, guys, it's Dengineers only,
0:06:51 > 0:06:54so I need to take you guys out of here. Come on. Off we go.
0:06:54 > 0:06:56- See you later.- Bye-bye!
0:06:56 > 0:06:58Let's go.
0:06:58 > 0:07:01Ella's family will not be allowed in this part of the garden
0:07:01 > 0:07:05until it's time for the big den reveal in a few days' time.
0:07:05 > 0:07:07For now, it's Ella who's in charge.
0:07:10 > 0:07:13- Now they're gone, you know what that means, don't you?- Dengineers.
0:07:13 > 0:07:15Yes, we're going to get down to business
0:07:15 > 0:07:16and I'm about to introduce you
0:07:16 > 0:07:18to somebody who is an absolute expert, Ella.
0:07:18 > 0:07:21- Honestly, he will make the dream den, just for you.- Cool.
0:07:21 > 0:07:24- Are you ready to meet him?- Yeah. - Let's get him in.
0:07:25 > 0:07:29Sege has been in the building biz for 36 years
0:07:29 > 0:07:32and is a legend in the den-building world.
0:07:33 > 0:07:36Sege knows what Ella wants her Hawaiian Den to be like
0:07:36 > 0:07:40and if anyone can make her den dreams come true, it's this guy.
0:07:43 > 0:07:45What are you thinking, Sege, about this den? Is it doable?
0:07:45 > 0:07:47Very doable, yeah.
0:07:47 > 0:07:51What about if we build this shed out of loads of different
0:07:51 > 0:07:54coloured planks that look like you've found them off the beach.
0:07:54 > 0:07:56- They're beach-weathered.- Ah!
0:07:56 > 0:07:58- You know and they're sort of... - Like driftwood?
0:07:58 > 0:08:00They're there all different.... Exactly, all different colours.
0:08:00 > 0:08:02- How does that sound? - It sounds brilliant.
0:08:02 > 0:08:04- I think that would be brilliant. - Yeah!
0:08:04 > 0:08:06Amazing. Sege, can I add something in?
0:08:06 > 0:08:07We've got all this space out here.
0:08:07 > 0:08:10- What about if we have some sand outside the den?- Ah, what? Easy.
0:08:10 > 0:08:12- Wouldn't that be nice?- Yeah. - Your own little beach.- Yeah.
0:08:12 > 0:08:16- It'll look beautiful.- Amazing. - I can just imagine it now.
0:08:16 > 0:08:19As well as the man-made beach and the painted wooden planks,
0:08:19 > 0:08:23the outside of Ella's Hawaiian Den will also be decorated with
0:08:23 > 0:08:25some awesome wooden carvings
0:08:25 > 0:08:28and a beach-styled juice bar.
0:08:29 > 0:08:34The inside will be a proper chill-out area for Ella and her friends.
0:08:34 > 0:08:36This den is going to be outstanding!
0:08:37 > 0:08:41But it's going to take a lot of work from The Dengineers
0:08:41 > 0:08:44and the first thing they need to do is clear out the garden.
0:08:44 > 0:08:47- Goodbye, chicken shed. - Yeah.
0:08:47 > 0:08:49To get the area cleared, the Dengineers' need to take
0:08:49 > 0:08:52down an old disused chicken coop,
0:08:52 > 0:08:54and it's proving to be a big job.
0:08:54 > 0:08:57- It's pretty sturdy.- Yeah, it is pretty sturdy, isn't it?
0:08:57 > 0:08:59Ooh, that's got it.
0:08:59 > 0:09:01And while it's all kicking off,
0:09:01 > 0:09:03Ella's mum and dad can't see any of it.
0:09:03 > 0:09:05Oops. There we are!
0:09:05 > 0:09:06I'm a bit worried to be honest,
0:09:06 > 0:09:08to be locked out of the garden for a whole week.
0:09:08 > 0:09:09You never know what she's got planned.
0:09:09 > 0:09:11I think just bang them off.
0:09:13 > 0:09:16I'm looking for something different,
0:09:16 > 0:09:19a bit of a change in there. I'm quite excited by that.
0:09:19 > 0:09:22She's a very creative individual.
0:09:22 > 0:09:23You've no idea what she's going to come up,
0:09:23 > 0:09:26but I'm sure it's going to be exciting.
0:09:26 > 0:09:30I feel really lucky that I'm going to get my dream den built by Sege
0:09:30 > 0:09:33and he's an amazing designer so it's going to be great.
0:09:35 > 0:09:39It's been a productive first day for our Dengineers.
0:09:39 > 0:09:42The side garden is all cleared and ready for action.
0:09:48 > 0:09:51It's super early in the morning and ground workers Trevor and Paul
0:09:51 > 0:09:55have arrived to lay the foundations for Ella's den.
0:09:55 > 0:09:58- Morning.- Morning.- How's it going?
0:09:58 > 0:10:00It's going all right. Is that toast nice?
0:10:01 > 0:10:03- Jam.- Jam.
0:10:03 > 0:10:06It's really early. It's, like, 7.42am
0:10:06 > 0:10:09and I've only just got out of bed, so I'm really tired.
0:10:10 > 0:10:14And they've just come out of nowhere, practically.
0:10:18 > 0:10:21Trevor and Paul are going to lay the foundations that will support
0:10:21 > 0:10:23the whole structure of the den.
0:10:24 > 0:10:28First, they remove the layer of soil,
0:10:28 > 0:10:30then they lay down some gravel...
0:10:33 > 0:10:35..and compress it down with the whacker
0:10:35 > 0:10:37to create a more solid base.
0:10:39 > 0:10:43Finally, they put down the concrete slabs that the legs of the den
0:10:43 > 0:10:44will stand on.
0:10:45 > 0:10:47Now it's time for the real work to start.
0:10:49 > 0:10:52Do you want to hand that round to Sege?
0:10:52 > 0:10:55Although the den design has come from Ella's ideas,
0:10:55 > 0:10:57she has no clue what Sege has in store
0:10:57 > 0:11:00or what the finished den will look like.
0:11:00 > 0:11:02And now they're installing the base,
0:11:02 > 0:11:04which is the first part of it, of course.
0:11:04 > 0:11:06And just as... This is the moment of truth, to see
0:11:06 > 0:11:08if it fits. What do you think, Ella?
0:11:08 > 0:11:11It's really exciting and it looks really good.
0:11:11 > 0:11:12How's it going Phil? Is it...?
0:11:12 > 0:11:14Fits a treat!
0:11:14 > 0:11:16- We're on. It fits. - Yeah.
0:11:16 > 0:11:19- Ella, you wanted this gradient sea? - Yeah.
0:11:19 > 0:11:21Sort of water washing up onto the beach,
0:11:21 > 0:11:23so we thought what we'd do is, we'd use it as a floor.
0:11:23 > 0:11:27But the secret is, it's all part of a bigger picture still to come.
0:11:28 > 0:11:32Sege has designed this den to sit on stilts above the ground.
0:11:32 > 0:11:35This is because traditional beach huts are designed this way to
0:11:35 > 0:11:37allow the sea to flow underneath.
0:11:37 > 0:11:40And in this case, it will also to allow air to
0:11:40 > 0:11:43circulate around the whole of the den to avoid it becoming damp.
0:11:45 > 0:11:48As the Dengineers carry on getting the structure up,
0:11:48 > 0:11:51I thought I'd grab a chat with Ella's mum and dad.
0:11:51 > 0:11:55So, guys, it's clear to see that you love bikes!
0:11:55 > 0:11:57You've got bikes literally everywhere.
0:11:57 > 0:11:59And I heard a little rumour, Dad...
0:11:59 > 0:12:04- Yes?- ..that you were storing bikes in her bedroom!
0:12:04 > 0:12:06- Yes! Yes, I was.- What?!
0:12:06 > 0:12:08Well, we've got to put them somewhere
0:12:08 > 0:12:10and Ella's room was...
0:12:10 > 0:12:12had some space in it.
0:12:12 > 0:12:16I'm not going to lie, she sounds like the most tolerant kid in the world.
0:12:16 > 0:12:18She is really good.
0:12:18 > 0:12:20She's very tolerate. She puts up with a lot, she really does.
0:12:20 > 0:12:24So what do you think this den is going to mean to Ella?
0:12:24 > 0:12:26This is going to mean everything to Ella.
0:12:26 > 0:12:28it's going to be her own special place, where she can get away
0:12:28 > 0:12:31from the bikes and the chat and the stuff and all the gear everywhere.
0:12:31 > 0:12:34And she can go out with her friends and just be herself.
0:12:36 > 0:12:39It's clear that this den is going to mean a lot to Ella,
0:12:39 > 0:12:42so it's really important that we get it right.
0:12:43 > 0:12:46And, luckily, Ella seems pretty pleased with how it's all
0:12:46 > 0:12:48looking so far.
0:12:48 > 0:12:50These are actually my favourite colours,
0:12:50 > 0:12:52but I actually think they go together really well.
0:12:52 > 0:12:53I think they do, too, yeah.
0:12:53 > 0:12:56The walls are made of oak, which is a timber so robust
0:12:56 > 0:12:59and hard-wearing, it should last a lifetime.
0:13:00 > 0:13:02And it doesn't stop there.
0:13:02 > 0:13:03To keep up with the Hawaiian theme,
0:13:03 > 0:13:07Sege has designed the den to have a juice bar built into it.
0:13:07 > 0:13:09- Perfect!- What do you think? Is that perfect?
0:13:09 > 0:13:11That's perfect!
0:13:11 > 0:13:13The juice bar may be looking perfect, but the Dengineers
0:13:13 > 0:13:17need to get the rest of the walls up and get the roof on before
0:13:17 > 0:13:20the end of the day, so that the den will be weatherproof overnight.
0:13:22 > 0:13:24This will be a mono-pitch roof,
0:13:24 > 0:13:26which means a single roof surface
0:13:26 > 0:13:29that slopes down, so that the rain can run off.
0:13:32 > 0:13:33Now it's time for a Den Hack.
0:13:37 > 0:13:39Have you ever been down the beach
0:13:39 > 0:13:42and found yourself with a handful of change for your ice cream
0:13:42 > 0:13:44and headphones and had nowhere to put it?
0:13:44 > 0:13:48Well, now you can solve this problem with one simple solution.
0:13:48 > 0:13:50It's easy.
0:13:50 > 0:13:53All you need is your old sunscreen bottle.
0:13:53 > 0:13:57Make sure it's empty and carefully cut off the top of the bottle.
0:13:57 > 0:14:00Grab your change and headphones,
0:14:00 > 0:14:02put them into the bottle
0:14:02 > 0:14:04and close the lid!
0:14:04 > 0:14:05Wow!
0:14:05 > 0:14:08So there you have it. Your very own sunscreen safe.
0:14:08 > 0:14:09Which way to the beach?
0:14:09 > 0:14:10Oh, that way.
0:14:17 > 0:14:20As the work on the Hawaiian Den continues,
0:14:20 > 0:14:24the Dengineers get a visit from a pretty special guest.
0:14:26 > 0:14:28Unbeknownst to Ella, Sege has had his mate,
0:14:28 > 0:14:31affectionately known as Chainsaw Nancy,
0:14:31 > 0:14:34make some incredible bespoke sculptures for her den...
0:14:34 > 0:14:36How cool is that?
0:14:36 > 0:14:39..and she's about to see them for the first time.
0:14:39 > 0:14:43Oh, wow. That's so cool!
0:14:45 > 0:14:50The Tiki pole and chair shaped like a pineapple are looking good,
0:14:50 > 0:14:52but there's still a few jobs to do.
0:14:56 > 0:14:59Chainsaw Nancy is an expert in the woodcarving world,
0:14:59 > 0:15:02is fully trained to do this specialist job,
0:15:02 > 0:15:05and is wearing special safety gear.
0:15:05 > 0:15:06It's really loud!
0:15:09 > 0:15:11Ella couldn't help with the chain sawing,
0:15:11 > 0:15:14but she can help with a final sand down.
0:15:16 > 0:15:18OK, then, Ella, I think that's good enough.
0:15:18 > 0:15:22Yeah, this is going to go great in my den.
0:15:22 > 0:15:24The Hawaiian Den is well under way
0:15:24 > 0:15:27and Ella has been working pretty hard,
0:15:27 > 0:15:29so I'm going to give her a little treat
0:15:29 > 0:15:32to help get her in the Hawaiian zone.
0:15:32 > 0:15:35I'm taking her for an indoor surfing lesson.
0:15:35 > 0:15:37This looks amazing!
0:15:39 > 0:15:42Surfing has been a part of Hawaiian life for hundreds of years
0:15:42 > 0:15:45and if Ella ever gets the chance to go there,
0:15:45 > 0:15:48this lesson will help her get stuck into the waves.
0:15:48 > 0:15:51- Excellent! All right, let's get going.- Let's go!
0:15:51 > 0:15:53LAUREN SCREAMS
0:15:53 > 0:15:54..I'm not going to go.
0:15:54 > 0:15:573-2-1, go.
0:15:57 > 0:15:59LAUREN SCREAMS
0:15:59 > 0:16:01Yeah, great start, Lauren.
0:16:01 > 0:16:04But, hey, if at first you don't succeed,
0:16:04 > 0:16:05just fail again!
0:16:11 > 0:16:14Yes. Now you're getting the hang of it.
0:16:14 > 0:16:16Hey, I'm doing it!
0:16:16 > 0:16:18THEY BOTH SCREAM
0:16:18 > 0:16:19Ella's a natural.
0:16:24 > 0:16:25Well, most of the time.
0:16:28 > 0:16:32So, this is the most amazing thing I think I've ever done, ever.
0:16:32 > 0:16:34Like, Ella is amazing.
0:16:34 > 0:16:37Meanwhile, I'm struggling to just even get in the thing.
0:16:37 > 0:16:39It's actually quite embarrassing.
0:16:46 > 0:16:50I've never seen that surfing style before, Lauren.
0:16:54 > 0:16:57Ella has totally got the hang of this!
0:16:57 > 0:16:58Nearly.
0:17:02 > 0:17:05Yeah, all right, Ella. You're just showing off now.
0:17:08 > 0:17:09And one final trick.
0:17:12 > 0:17:13Nailed it!
0:17:13 > 0:17:15I actually felt like all Hawaiian inside
0:17:15 > 0:17:18and I'm really excited to go and build my den now.
0:17:27 > 0:17:31While Ella and Lauren have been having a blast on the boards,
0:17:31 > 0:17:34work back at the build has been cranked up a notch.
0:17:36 > 0:17:38The canopy over the front of the den
0:17:38 > 0:17:41and the door are being covered with bamboo.
0:17:42 > 0:17:44Bamboo is naturally waterproof,
0:17:44 > 0:17:48so this material makes for a fantastic shelter for Ella's
0:17:48 > 0:17:51den and is also in keeping with the Hawaiian theme.
0:17:55 > 0:17:57With the exterior of the den in good shape
0:17:57 > 0:18:00and the bamboo canopy and door in place
0:18:00 > 0:18:03the Dengineers are all going to have some well-earned sleep.

0:18:12 > 0:18:14I've come to check out the action.
0:18:14 > 0:18:18So, Ella, give me the update. Whereabouts are we so far?
0:18:18 > 0:18:21So, we've basically got the whole structure in,
0:18:21 > 0:18:23- and today it's just painting. - That's amazing.
0:18:23 > 0:18:26- I'm really surprised it's come along so quickly.- Yeah.
0:18:26 > 0:18:29I love it and I love also this man, down here, just there.
0:18:29 > 0:18:30- Is he going to stay?- Yeah!
0:18:30 > 0:18:33Cool, great. Are you all right down there?
0:18:33 > 0:18:35Yeah, I'm fine, thanks.
0:18:35 > 0:18:38- OK, shall we go and get a move on, and give him a hand?- Yeah.
0:18:38 > 0:18:39Come on, then, let's go.
0:18:42 > 0:18:45It really is all hands on deck right now in Ella's garden.
0:18:49 > 0:18:51While me and Ella sand down a surf board that will
0:18:51 > 0:18:56feature inside the den, we've also got electrics going in,
0:18:56 > 0:18:57drilling,
0:18:57 > 0:19:00sawing,
0:19:00 > 0:19:02and, of course, painting galore.
0:19:04 > 0:19:08But it's not just wood that's been getting painted.
0:19:08 > 0:19:09- Do you know what it is?- No.
0:19:09 > 0:19:14Sege has also had something pretty outstanding created for Ella.
0:19:14 > 0:19:16- Wow!- My goodness!
0:19:16 > 0:19:18That's awesome.
0:19:18 > 0:19:20- How fantastic. - Here's comes the sun.
0:19:20 > 0:19:22- How good is that going to be? - That is great.
0:19:22 > 0:19:25- That looks so cool. - That looks amazing. Wow.
0:19:25 > 0:19:28We're going to install that now, across the back wall there.
0:19:28 > 0:19:29- Yeah.- So, can you see that?
0:19:29 > 0:19:32- You see where the sea has washed in over the floor?- Yeah, I can.
0:19:32 > 0:19:35- Oh, yeah.- So this will be the backdrop to the sea.
0:19:35 > 0:19:37Oh, so it all, like, fades...
0:19:37 > 0:19:38All fades away into the horizon there.
0:19:38 > 0:19:41- Oh, Sege, you've done a good job, haven't you?- Oh, well.
0:19:41 > 0:19:43- Fab!- It'll be like sitting on a beach.
0:19:43 > 0:19:46I kind of feel like we're already in a bit like Hawaii already.
0:19:46 > 0:19:49- I'm loving it.- Yeah. Get the grass skirts on.
0:19:49 > 0:19:52I don't want to spoil the fun, but time for hula-ing is over.
0:19:53 > 0:19:55As the mural is set into position,
0:19:55 > 0:19:59Sege is becoming worried about the amount of work still to do.
0:20:00 > 0:20:02The Dengineers are now running behind
0:20:02 > 0:20:05and the atmos on site is feeling pretty serious.
0:20:05 > 0:20:07More to that side, please.
0:20:08 > 0:20:11But Lauren and Ella have got a plan to get everyone
0:20:11 > 0:20:13back into the Hawaiian spirit!
0:20:13 > 0:20:15Let's go and get them!
0:20:16 > 0:20:18Lauren and Ella are going to hand out these garlands,
0:20:18 > 0:20:21which are a symbol of affection in Hawaii.
0:20:21 > 0:20:23- Ah.- There you go, Sege.

0:20:36 > 0:20:38There you go. Just pop that in there.
0:20:38 > 0:20:40Oh, yeah, looking lovely!
0:20:40 > 0:20:43Let's see, who else have we got to go and find?
0:20:43 > 0:20:44Ooh, Ben.
0:20:44 > 0:20:45Ooh, yeah!
0:20:45 > 0:20:48Put it right over his headphones.
0:20:50 > 0:20:51THEY LAUGH
0:20:52 > 0:20:55- Ben, you look so nice!- Beautiful.
0:20:55 > 0:20:57Look at him.
0:20:57 > 0:21:00But amongst all the LOLs, Lauren spots a mistake.
0:21:01 > 0:21:04Alohaii? Alohaii?
0:21:05 > 0:21:07Alohaii?
0:21:07 > 0:21:09Sege, I think we've got a problem?

0:21:13 > 0:21:15I don't need to. I can see it from here.
0:21:15 > 0:21:17Alohaii.
0:21:17 > 0:21:22That's "Aloha", two exclamation marks upside down!
0:21:22 > 0:21:27- It's terrible! - Oh, Sege, it'll be all right!
0:21:27 > 0:21:29- It'll be all right, we'll get it sorted.- We'll have to fix it.
0:21:29 > 0:21:33- Right, let's a saw or something. - Let's go and get it done!
0:21:33 > 0:21:35As painter Paul fixes the sign,
0:21:35 > 0:21:38the Dengineers start putting the final touches onto the den.
0:21:39 > 0:21:43Ella will now not see her den until the Big Den Reveal tomorrow,
0:21:43 > 0:21:46and there's loads she hasn't seen yet,
0:21:46 > 0:21:48including a cool upcycle project
0:21:48 > 0:21:52that will turn an old bike into a stool to go outside the juice bar.
0:21:58 > 0:22:02Ella's mum, Kath, has had this mountain bike for over 20 years.
0:22:04 > 0:22:07It has been taken on cycling trips all over the world,
0:22:07 > 0:22:11including here in Wales when Ella was just five years old.
0:22:11 > 0:22:12It hasn't been used much recently,
0:22:12 > 0:22:15so Kath has handed it over to us.
0:22:16 > 0:22:18First, it's over to fabricator Steve
0:22:18 > 0:22:21to weld the bike into the correct shape
0:22:21 > 0:22:22so that it can be used as a stool.
0:22:24 > 0:22:26It's not looking very Hawaiian,
0:22:26 > 0:22:28so design assistant Ashley needs
0:22:28 > 0:22:32to sand off the existing paint, and then re-paint it to make it
0:22:32 > 0:22:34look super-cool on the outside of the den.
0:22:41 > 0:22:43With the bike cleverly attached to the wall,
0:22:43 > 0:22:45and a few finishing touches later,
0:22:45 > 0:22:48the cycle stool is coming along nicely.
0:22:51 > 0:22:54And that is our upcycle project finished!
0:23:01 > 0:23:05With the upcycle done, there's nothing more we can do for today.
0:23:06 > 0:23:10It's going to take one last push in the morning for the Dengineers
0:23:10 > 0:23:11to get Ella's dream den done.

0:23:46 > 0:23:49- You know, still a fair bit to do. - Are you?
0:23:49 > 0:23:51I'm hoping you'll give me a hand, actually.
0:23:51 > 0:23:53Of course we can. We've got hands.
0:23:54 > 0:23:56Right, in here?

0:24:02 > 0:24:04Come Mark, get a move on!
0:24:31 > 0:24:33After four days of hard graft,
0:24:33 > 0:24:35The Dengineers have transformed
0:24:35 > 0:24:41the wasteland in Ella's side garden into a fantastic Hawaiian hideaway.
0:24:41 > 0:24:44This is where she can finally get away from all of her family's
0:24:44 > 0:24:45bikes and cycle gear,
0:24:45 > 0:24:49and it's now time for her to see it for the first time.
0:24:50 > 0:24:52Five, four,
0:24:52 > 0:24:54three,
0:24:54 > 0:24:55two,

0:24:57 > 0:24:58Oh, my gosh!
0:25:00 > 0:25:01That's amazing!
0:25:02 > 0:25:04When I was just standing in front of the den
0:25:04 > 0:25:06and they took their hands away from my eyes,
0:25:06 > 0:25:08I was just thinking, this is amazing.
0:25:08 > 0:25:11I never dreamed it would be like this!
0:25:11 > 0:25:14- Do you like it? - I love it! Oh, wow!
0:25:14 > 0:25:15Thank you so much!

0:25:18 > 0:25:20- Yeah, it's even better. - Ah!
0:25:21 > 0:25:23I was actually feeling a little bit emotional.
0:25:23 > 0:25:25I was just so happy that this had finally happened.
0:25:25 > 0:25:27Ella, come and have a look at where you order a drink
0:25:27 > 0:25:29- from the juice bar.- OK.
0:25:29 > 0:25:32- That's so cool. - Go and sit on it! Go and sit on it!

0:26:48 > 0:26:50No way, look what's happened to the bike.
0:26:50 > 0:26:52That's my old bike.
0:26:52 > 0:26:55I felt a bit emotional when I saw the bicycle actually because that
0:26:55 > 0:26:58was a bike I used to ride all the time and it's been a bit neglected,
0:26:58 > 0:27:01so I'm really glad it's been upcycled and I'm thrilled to see it.
0:27:01 > 0:27:03- Can we go in and have a look? - Yeah, go on, in you go!
0:27:03 > 0:27:06Get in there. Go on. Get in there and have a look.
0:27:06 > 0:27:09You can really see Ella's personality in the den
0:27:09 > 0:27:13and it was bright, lots of colour in there, all sorts of things going on.
0:27:13 > 0:27:16It really reflects Ella, all through.
0:27:17 > 0:27:20I love the interior of the den. It's snug and cosy
0:27:20 > 0:27:22and I think it's just going to be perfect.
0:27:22 > 0:27:24It's even got a key.
0:27:24 > 0:27:26Yeah, I'm keeping Alec out.
0:27:26 > 0:27:28Is that going to keep me out, too?
0:27:28 > 0:27:29Yeah, it's going to keep everyone out.
0:27:29 > 0:27:33Having that den is going to mean that I can escape somewhere
0:27:33 > 0:27:36and I don't have to deal with the bikes everywhere.
