0:00:51 > 0:00:55- Today in the clubhouse...- Let's Goers go deep into the darkness

0:00:55 > 0:00:56when they try out caving.

0:00:57 > 0:00:59We find out what monsters lie

0:00:59 > 0:01:02beneath the waves in the deep blue sea.

0:01:02 > 0:01:04Back on dry land, we grow monster tall...

0:01:04 > 0:01:06with our super stilts.

0:01:06 > 0:01:09And lots of Let's Goers will be throwing shapes

0:01:09 > 0:01:11at our monster disco party.

0:01:36 > 0:01:38- Hi, I'm Rollo.- And I'm Avantika.

0:01:38 > 0:01:40Today, we're going to try out caving.

0:01:40 > 0:01:42- BOTH:- Let's go!

0:01:43 > 0:01:45'Caving is a sport where you get to go underground

0:01:45 > 0:01:48'and squeeze through very small gaps in rocks.

0:01:48 > 0:01:51'It is very dark and can be cold and wet, too.'

0:01:51 > 0:01:54This is Luke. He is an expert at caving

0:01:54 > 0:01:58and is going to show us how to do it in a safe way.

0:01:58 > 0:02:00Hey, Let's Goers, are you ready to go caving?

0:02:00 > 0:02:02- BOTH:- Yes!

0:02:02 > 0:02:04Excellent, great. So you've got all your safety gear on.

0:02:04 > 0:02:06Why do we have to wear all these clothes?

0:02:06 > 0:02:08Caves can be cold, dark, wet places.

0:02:08 > 0:02:10We need these suits to keep us safe and warm.

0:02:10 > 0:02:12There's just one more thing we need.

0:02:12 > 0:02:14- BOTH:- Our helmets!

0:02:16 > 0:02:19You can never go caving without an adult who is an expert.

0:02:20 > 0:02:22- There we go. How do they fit? - Good.

0:02:22 > 0:02:25Now we have all our safety gear on, it's time to go to the cave.

0:02:25 > 0:02:26Come on!

0:02:31 > 0:02:35So, this is Porth Yr Ogof, which is Welsh for "gate cave".

0:02:35 > 0:02:37It looks amazing!

0:02:37 > 0:02:38Shall we go explore?

0:02:38 > 0:02:42Yeah! The cave looks a bit scary.

0:02:42 > 0:02:47It does look a little spooky, but I can't wait to have a look inside.

0:02:47 > 0:02:49So, caves are really dark.

0:02:49 > 0:02:51Why do you think they are so dark?

0:02:51 > 0:02:52Because there's no sunlight.

0:02:52 > 0:02:55That's correct! Shall we turn our lights off, just for a few seconds,

0:02:55 > 0:02:58- to see how dark it really is? - OK.

0:02:58 > 0:03:00Wow, it's so dark!

0:03:00 > 0:03:05It's a good job we're not scared of the dark, Avantika!

0:03:05 > 0:03:09So, now you can see why we need torches on our helmets.

0:03:09 > 0:03:11Can we go and explore the cave now?

0:03:11 > 0:03:14Sure, but there might be a few caving challenges on the way.

0:03:14 > 0:03:15Let's go.

0:03:15 > 0:03:20Caves are made because acid in rainwater slowly eats away

0:03:20 > 0:03:22at the limestone, making a hole.

0:03:22 > 0:03:25The hole gets bigger and bigger as time goes by.

0:03:25 > 0:03:27The first thing we'll do is crawl through

0:03:27 > 0:03:29this tight, little, narrow passageway.

0:03:29 > 0:03:32It's called a caterpillar crawl. Who's up for that?

0:03:32 > 0:03:33- BOTH:- Me!

0:03:38 > 0:03:41This gap is really tiny.

0:03:41 > 0:03:42So, how was that, guys?

0:03:42 > 0:03:44That was amazing!

0:03:44 > 0:03:46Let's do another challenge.

0:03:50 > 0:03:51This way to the letterbox, guys.

0:03:58 > 0:03:59So this is the letterbox.

0:03:59 > 0:04:02Why do you think it's called the letterbox?

0:04:02 > 0:04:04Cos it's shaped like a letterbox on my door.

0:04:04 > 0:04:07That's right. Let's see if we can get you through it.

0:04:13 > 0:04:15This gap is really tiny.

0:04:16 > 0:04:19I can't believe I can get through.

0:04:19 > 0:04:22I'm having to make myself flat, like a letter.

0:04:23 > 0:04:25Ah, this is so much fun.

0:04:25 > 0:04:29We have to make sure we keep our heads turned to one side

0:04:29 > 0:04:31so we can get through the letterbox.

0:04:31 > 0:04:34Our friend, Mick, is waiting at the other end of the letterbox.

0:04:34 > 0:04:37He's a caving expert, too.

0:04:37 > 0:04:38We did it!

0:04:42 > 0:04:45So this is the ledge, the hardest challenge here.

0:04:45 > 0:04:46Are you ready to go?

0:04:46 > 0:04:48- BOTH:- Yeah, let's go!

0:04:48 > 0:04:50Good push up on that, mate. There we go.

0:04:50 > 0:04:54'The ledge isn't very wide, so I have to feel my way along.'

0:04:54 > 0:04:55A bit closer over this way.

0:04:55 > 0:04:57'I have to crawl along slowly.'

0:04:57 > 0:04:59'It helps me keep my balance.'

0:05:01 > 0:05:03'The ledge is really tricky to do.'

0:05:04 > 0:05:07'I'm nearly at the end.'

0:05:07 > 0:05:09'That was amazing!'

0:05:10 > 0:05:12So, you two have been brilliant cavers.

0:05:12 > 0:05:13What was your favourite bit?

0:05:13 > 0:05:14My favourite bit was the ledge.

0:05:14 > 0:05:17And I really enjoyed the letterbox.

0:05:17 > 0:05:19Do you want to do some more caving before we go?

0:05:19 > 0:05:21- BOTH:- Yeah!

0:05:26 > 0:05:27Let's go!

0:05:27 > 0:05:31Wow, Avantika and Rollo, you were SO brave in that dark cave.

0:05:31 > 0:05:34Now, we've got a spooky Quick Trick to show you,

0:05:34 > 0:05:35and Martin was supposed to be here,

0:05:35 > 0:05:37but I have no idea where he's got to.

0:05:37 > 0:05:38Boo! I'm here!

0:05:38 > 0:05:39Ha-ha!

0:05:39 > 0:05:41Martin, you shocked me.

0:05:41 > 0:05:44Well, I thought that was the perfect way to get us in the mood for making

0:05:44 > 0:05:46these spooky floating ghosts.

0:05:46 > 0:05:48So, what do we have to do?

0:05:48 > 0:05:52OK, first, get some paper tissue and cut out a ghostly shape.

0:05:52 > 0:05:53OK.

0:05:55 > 0:05:56Hmm.

0:05:56 > 0:05:58The more ghostly, the better.

0:05:58 > 0:06:00OK.

0:06:00 > 0:06:03I'm going for a tall, tall ghost.

0:06:03 > 0:06:10Oh. Next step is to draw on some eerie eyes and a monster mouth.

0:06:10 > 0:06:12Eerie eyes.

0:06:12 > 0:06:13Whoop!

0:06:13 > 0:06:14Oh, bit wonky.

0:06:14 > 0:06:17Oh, got your mouth.

0:06:17 > 0:06:18A monster mouth, like that.

0:06:18 > 0:06:23Very good. And the final step is to get some sticky tape or some tack...

0:06:23 > 0:06:27- OK.- And put it on top of your table.

0:06:27 > 0:06:30All right. I'm going to bring my ghost over to be friends with yours.

0:06:30 > 0:06:33- Excellent!- All right, but they look a bit flat,

0:06:33 > 0:06:35so how do we make them fly?

0:06:35 > 0:06:38Well, that's where the balloon comes in.

0:06:38 > 0:06:40- Ah!- What you have to do is, you can rub it on your jumper.

0:06:40 > 0:06:43I'm going to use you here, Joanna. I hope you don't mind.

0:06:43 > 0:06:47- No, go for it. - Or you can rub it...on your hair.

0:06:48 > 0:06:49And what that does is...

0:06:49 > 0:06:52Going to take a little bit of time with this,

0:06:52 > 0:06:54because the longer you rub it on your hair, or on your jumper,

0:06:54 > 0:06:59the better your ghosts will float, like this.

0:06:59 > 0:07:01- Wow!- See it?

0:07:01 > 0:07:04They really are ghosts, aren't they? See?

0:07:04 > 0:07:06Ah, really spooky!

0:07:07 > 0:07:10I hope you enjoyed our spooky Quick Trick.

0:07:10 > 0:07:13If you'd like to learn how to make the spooky floating ghosts again,

0:07:13 > 0:07:15get yourself over to the CBeebies website

0:07:15 > 0:07:17and click on the Let's Go Club.

0:07:17 > 0:07:22Or maybe a monster basket for all of your spooky knick-knacks.

0:07:22 > 0:07:23Whoooo!

0:07:23 > 0:07:25Well, from spooky creatures

0:07:25 > 0:07:27to ones which can be found in oceans all over the world.

0:07:27 > 0:07:29Let's dive in and discover more.

0:07:34 > 0:07:38First up, there is twice as much ocean on earth as dry land.

0:07:38 > 0:07:41That sure is a lot of seaside.

0:07:41 > 0:07:44The seas and oceans cover so much of the planet that,

0:07:44 > 0:07:48from way out in space, the Earth looks like a big blue marble.

0:07:48 > 0:07:50All that water means a lot of sailing

0:07:50 > 0:07:52and, on old maps of the oceans,

0:07:52 > 0:07:57sea monsters were drawn to show places that hadn't been explored.

0:07:57 > 0:08:00You wouldn't want to bump into them during a seaside paddle!

0:08:00 > 0:08:05Next, a blue whale's tongue is as big as an elephant.

0:08:05 > 0:08:07Who would have trunk it?!

0:08:07 > 0:08:11Blue whales are the largest animals ever to have lived on our planet.

0:08:11 > 0:08:15They might have a giant tongue, but whales don't have any teeth,

0:08:15 > 0:08:18and they eat the tiniest of sea creatures,

0:08:18 > 0:08:20little critters called krill.

0:08:20 > 0:08:22When it comes to being a big mouth,

0:08:22 > 0:08:25the blue whale has got it licked.

0:08:25 > 0:08:29Next, some oceans are heavier than others.

0:08:29 > 0:08:31I'll take that with a pinch of salt!

0:08:31 > 0:08:36All sea water has salt in it that has washed into the ocean from rocks

0:08:36 > 0:08:40on land. But some oceans have more salt than others,

0:08:40 > 0:08:44and the saltier the water, the more it weighs.

0:08:44 > 0:08:47What's super about salt is, the more that's in the sea,

0:08:47 > 0:08:49the easier it is to float in...

0:08:49 > 0:08:51SHIP SOUNDS HORN

0:08:51 > 0:08:53..and that should really float your boat.

0:08:53 > 0:08:57And finally, in the deep, dark ocean,

0:08:57 > 0:08:59there are fish that make their own light.

0:08:59 > 0:09:01Sounds a bit fishy to me!

0:09:01 > 0:09:05These fantastic bright sparks have a special part of their body

0:09:05 > 0:09:06that glows and shines.

0:09:06 > 0:09:09The light makes it easier for the fish to catch food,

0:09:09 > 0:09:13hook up with their friends or scare off other sea creatures.

0:09:13 > 0:09:17Some shimmery swimmers can even flash their lights on and off.

0:09:17 > 0:09:19Anyone for a dance at the underwater disco?

0:09:19 > 0:09:21Fact!

0:09:22 > 0:09:23# The Let's Go Club!

0:09:23 > 0:09:25Let's go!

0:09:26 > 0:09:29I love finding out about those magnificent marine monsters.

0:09:29 > 0:09:30My favourite were the disco fish.

0:09:30 > 0:09:32What about the rest of you?

0:09:32 > 0:09:33The blue whale.

0:09:33 > 0:09:35I thought you might say that.

0:09:35 > 0:09:36It's Super Skill time,

0:09:36 > 0:09:40and we've got a really big guest arriving very soon,

0:09:40 > 0:09:41so keep a lookout for him, everyone.

0:09:41 > 0:09:43Don't know where he is.

0:09:43 > 0:09:45LOUD THUDS

0:09:45 > 0:09:48Oh! Look how big he is!

0:09:48 > 0:09:49It's a monster!

0:09:49 > 0:09:51It's all right, Kirsten.

0:09:51 > 0:09:52It's only me.

0:09:52 > 0:09:54Oh, hi, Owen.

0:09:54 > 0:09:55Wow! You're tall.

0:09:55 > 0:09:57I'm not really that tall.

0:09:57 > 0:09:58I'm wearing these stilts.

0:09:58 > 0:10:01Oh, wow! Those stilts are really long.

0:10:01 > 0:10:04- Can you show us how to walk like that?- Yeah.- Amazing.

0:10:04 > 0:10:06Right, there you go, Nathan.

0:10:07 > 0:10:08There you go, Tia.

0:10:09 > 0:10:11There you go, Tilly.

0:10:11 > 0:10:13OK, so what do we do?

0:10:13 > 0:10:16You stand onto the stilts,

0:10:16 > 0:10:18you hold on to the strings,

0:10:18 > 0:10:24and then you lift your feet and your hands up at the same time.

0:10:24 > 0:10:26Amazing! Is there any technique?

0:10:26 > 0:10:30Just make sure you stand up nice and straight and pull on the strings.

0:10:31 > 0:10:33Ha-ha! That looks so cool, guys!

0:10:33 > 0:10:35You've really got it.

0:10:35 > 0:10:37You're like professionals.

0:10:37 > 0:10:38Shall we walk backwards?

0:10:38 > 0:10:40Let's see if you can turn round and face me.

0:10:40 > 0:10:41Oh!

0:10:41 > 0:10:44Wow! How good is that, Owen?

0:10:44 > 0:10:47- They're really good. - Really good.

0:10:47 > 0:10:49Shall we take our stilts off?

0:10:49 > 0:10:53Because I think that Tilly has got a question for you, Owen.

0:10:54 > 0:10:57Is this how you learned to walk on the stilts?

0:10:57 > 0:11:01When I started out, I learned on little stilts, just like those.

0:11:01 > 0:11:02What about you, Nathan?

0:11:02 > 0:11:07How much practice did it take to get on the big stilts?

0:11:07 > 0:11:08On the big stilts, you have to do

0:11:08 > 0:11:11lots of practice when you're learning.

0:11:11 > 0:11:13Did you ever fall off the stilts?

0:11:13 > 0:11:15I HAVE fallen off, but I wear...

0:11:16 > 0:11:18..kneepads, so it was all OK.

0:11:18 > 0:11:20Oh, that's a good job.

0:11:20 > 0:11:23Owen, thank you so much for teaching these Let's Goers how to

0:11:23 > 0:11:25walk on stilts. You certainly helped them reach new heights.

0:11:25 > 0:11:27- That's OK. Bye!- Bye!

0:11:27 > 0:11:28Bye, guys.

0:11:30 > 0:11:32And if you want to try something new,

0:11:32 > 0:11:34why not head over to the CBeebies website?

0:11:34 > 0:11:36Just click on the Let's Go Club to start exploring.

0:12:19 > 0:12:24Let's get making!

0:12:27 > 0:12:29I'm going to be a spotty monster.

0:12:31 > 0:12:33I've cut out some sharp teeth so I look like a vampire.

0:12:36 > 0:12:38While our costumes dry,

0:12:38 > 0:12:41we can go and get the frightening dance floor ready.

0:12:41 > 0:12:47You can't have a monster party without cobwebs and spiders.

0:12:47 > 0:12:49MUSIC: Monster by The Automatic

0:12:54 > 0:12:57Now it's time to boooo-gie!

0:12:57 > 0:12:58- ALL:- Yeah!

0:12:58 > 0:13:03# What's that coming over the hill, is it a monster, is it a monster?

0:13:24 > 0:13:26Girls, did you hear about the skeleton

0:13:26 > 0:13:27who couldn't go to the dance?

0:13:27 > 0:13:30- No.- He had no BODY to go with! Ha!

0:13:30 > 0:13:33Martin, that joke was monstrous! Honestly.
