0:01:35 > 0:01:37- # The Let's Go Club! - # Let's go! #
0:01:39 > 0:01:41Hello, I'm Freya and I'm nine years old.
0:01:44 > 0:01:46I really like clogdancing with my mum.
0:01:50 > 0:01:52I also like playing sports.
0:01:57 > 0:01:58I've won 30 medals.
0:01:58 > 0:02:00CHEERING
0:02:02 > 0:02:03Boom!
0:02:03 > 0:02:06But there's one thing I love more than anything else -
0:02:06 > 0:02:07brass band music!
0:02:08 > 0:02:11PLAYS: Jingle Bells
0:02:12 > 0:02:16To play the cornet, you have to blow into the mouthpiece.
0:02:16 > 0:02:19To make different sounds, you have to press down the valves, like this.
0:02:19 > 0:02:23However, I don't just practise at home by myself.
0:02:23 > 0:02:27I also get to practise and play with my school friends.
0:02:27 > 0:02:29BAND PLAYS
0:02:31 > 0:02:36I have band rehearsals twice a week every week. It's so much fun.
0:02:41 > 0:02:43Our teachers help us learn new songs
0:02:43 > 0:02:47and we get to perform in lots of competitions.
0:02:54 > 0:02:57We also like to perform for the local community.
0:02:57 > 0:02:59BAND PLAYS: White Christmas
0:03:03 > 0:03:06It's so much fun performing to an audience. It makes me really happy.
0:03:17 > 0:03:19BAND PLAYS: Jingle Bells
0:03:21 > 0:03:23Happy Christmas!
0:03:23 > 0:03:25CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
0:03:31 > 0:03:32After we play in the park,
0:03:32 > 0:03:36we like to go and play for people who can't come to see us perform.
0:03:40 > 0:03:42Does anyone here have any requests?
0:03:42 > 0:03:44God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen.
0:03:44 > 0:03:47BAND PLAYS: God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen
0:03:47 > 0:03:49AUDIENCE CLAPS ALONG
0:03:52 > 0:03:54The only thing better than playing music
0:03:54 > 0:03:57is playing music with your best friends.
0:04:19 > 0:04:22I'm Freya, and this is what I do.
0:04:22 > 0:04:23SHE PLAYS: Jingle Bells
0:04:28 > 0:04:31- # The Let's Go Club! - # Let's go! #
0:04:31 > 0:04:34Whoa, Freya, your brass band was brilliant.
0:04:34 > 0:04:37Such rich, warm-sounding music.
0:04:37 > 0:04:39In fact, it reminded me of a joke.
0:04:39 > 0:04:42What do you use to mend a broken trumpet?
0:04:42 > 0:04:44A TUBA glue!
0:04:44 > 0:04:48Anyway, we're going to play a wintry game now. It's very cool.
0:04:48 > 0:04:50In fact, it's freezing cold.
0:04:50 > 0:04:53Look at these ice-cool skaters.
0:04:53 > 0:04:55You've got mini-Kirsten,
0:04:55 > 0:04:57mini-Joanna and mini-Martin.
0:04:57 > 0:05:00And here's how you can make your own. You will need -
0:05:00 > 0:05:03A strip of tinfoil, a large lollipop stick,
0:05:03 > 0:05:05some felt-tip pens,
0:05:05 > 0:05:10a teaspoon, and a plastic cup filled with a little bit of water.
0:05:10 > 0:05:12Once you've got all that,
0:05:12 > 0:05:16you have to draw a little character on your lollipop stick.
0:05:16 > 0:05:19And what I'm going to do is, I'm going to draw a little face
0:05:19 > 0:05:20just like mine.
0:05:20 > 0:05:23There's my eyes and here's my little smile.
0:05:25 > 0:05:27Now, what's important is that you have to leave a gap
0:05:27 > 0:05:29at the bottom of your lollipop stick
0:05:29 > 0:05:32so that it looks like your character is skating.
0:05:32 > 0:05:36Now, once you've done that, you have to take your cup of water,
0:05:36 > 0:05:39just like this, and your tinfoil.
0:05:39 > 0:05:43Put it on top of your cup and wrap it around to secure it,
0:05:43 > 0:05:45just like that.
0:05:45 > 0:05:47Once you've done that, you take your teaspoon
0:05:47 > 0:05:52and then you pierce a hole in the middle of your tinfoil,
0:05:52 > 0:05:56and this is so your little character
0:05:56 > 0:06:02can easily go inside, just like that.
0:06:03 > 0:06:06And then, once you've done that, it's time to put your ice-cool
0:06:06 > 0:06:09dancer in the freezer and leave it in overnight.
0:06:09 > 0:06:10Now, it's pretty cold,
0:06:10 > 0:06:13so make sure you ask an adult to help you out with it.
0:06:13 > 0:06:15OK, now that they're done, I'm going to have to try
0:06:15 > 0:06:18and find some friends to try them out.
0:06:18 > 0:06:21Come on, Joanna and Kirsten, we know you're dying to. Come on.
0:06:21 > 0:06:24Cool Kirsten with a K, ready to skate.
0:06:24 > 0:06:26Joanna Jack Frost here for some skating.
0:06:26 > 0:06:28- Are you ready?- Yeah.- Go for it!
0:06:28 > 0:06:31- And there is Kirsten!- Oh!
0:06:31 > 0:06:34Ah! Very good!
0:06:34 > 0:06:38Try out your skaters on different surfaces to see how they move.
0:06:38 > 0:06:41Why don't you also send us in some photos and videos?
0:06:41 > 0:06:43I'd love to see them.
0:06:43 > 0:06:45Just grab a grown-up, head to the CBeebies website
0:06:45 > 0:06:47and click on the Let's Go Club.
0:06:47 > 0:06:49Now, from skating to singing,
0:06:49 > 0:06:52and a whole stocking full of that Christmas sparkle.
0:06:54 > 0:06:57- # The Let's Go Club! - # Let's go! #
0:07:07 > 0:07:12# Christmas is a time a very special time
0:07:12 > 0:07:17# It's celebrated far and wide
0:07:17 > 0:07:20# Jesus Christ they say
0:07:20 > 0:07:23# Was born on Christmas Day
0:07:23 > 0:07:27# When December 25th arrives
0:07:27 > 0:07:30# There'll be presents by the fire
0:07:30 > 0:07:33# And carols from the choir
0:07:33 > 0:07:38# All in a Nativity
0:07:38 > 0:07:41# Every person, young and old
0:07:41 > 0:07:43# With red or green or gold
0:07:43 > 0:07:49# Decorates the Christmas tree
0:07:59 > 0:08:05# Christmas is a time A very special time
0:08:05 > 0:08:09# I've dreamt of it the whole year through
0:08:09 > 0:08:15# A season filled with joy for every girl and boy
0:08:15 > 0:08:21# I'm sure you feel the same way, too
0:08:21 > 0:08:26# With friends and family there's nowhere I'd rather be
0:08:26 > 0:08:30# This Christmas
0:08:30 > 0:08:33# With you. #
0:08:40 > 0:08:42Happy Christmas!
0:08:44 > 0:08:47- # The Let's Go Club! - # Let's go! #
0:08:47 > 0:08:49We're going to get fantastically festive now.
0:08:49 > 0:08:52It's the Let's Go Club no-cut Christmas card!
0:08:52 > 0:08:55So for this, you're going to need some coloured card or paper,
0:08:55 > 0:08:57a glue stick and a felt-tip pen.
0:08:57 > 0:09:01And the best thing about this make is we don't need any scissors!
0:09:01 > 0:09:04You're going to need a piece of red card
0:09:04 > 0:09:07and you're going to fold it in half, like this.
0:09:07 > 0:09:10Well done. Press it down really hard.
0:09:10 > 0:09:13And then fold it in half again the other way.
0:09:13 > 0:09:17Then you open it up and then I want you to put sticky glue
0:09:17 > 0:09:20all over one half of it so it's really sticky. Go!
0:09:20 > 0:09:24Then when you've done that, you can fold your card back together
0:09:24 > 0:09:28and press down really, really firmly,
0:09:28 > 0:09:32and it makes your card nice and sturdy.
0:09:32 > 0:09:35Now it's time for my favourite bit - decorating.
0:09:35 > 0:09:37And for this, we're going to do lots and lots of tearing.
0:09:37 > 0:09:41So first, we're going to rip a big piece of our pink paper
0:09:43 > 0:09:45Lovely. Very nice.
0:09:45 > 0:09:47Then we're going to glue them down,
0:09:47 > 0:09:50right in the middle of our Christmas card, OK?
0:09:50 > 0:09:54Good stuff. Now, this is going to be Father Christmas's face.
0:09:54 > 0:09:56So let's rip off the extra bits.
0:09:58 > 0:10:02Now, Lacey, what's your favourite thing about Father Christmas?
0:10:03 > 0:10:06- He gives us presents. - He does give us presents.
0:10:06 > 0:10:10So, now we're going to rip an even bigger piece of white paper
0:10:10 > 0:10:12to make Father Christmas's beard.
0:10:12 > 0:10:15And when we glue it down, we need to make sure there's still some
0:10:15 > 0:10:19pink showing because we need to see Father Christmas's face, don't we?
0:10:19 > 0:10:22Last of all, you need to draw two little eyes
0:10:22 > 0:10:26and a nose on Father Christmas's pink face.
0:10:26 > 0:10:30And then a big smile on his beard.
0:10:30 > 0:10:32And that's your no-cut Christmas card done.
0:10:32 > 0:10:35But if you think that's a bit of a doddle
0:10:35 > 0:10:37and you want a crafty challenge,
0:10:37 > 0:10:40there is a way to make it a little bit more festive.
0:10:40 > 0:10:45Hey, Adam, why don't you open this Christmas card?
0:10:45 > 0:10:48- Argh! Ha!- That is brilliant!
0:10:48 > 0:10:50And if you want to give this snow-filled card a try,
0:10:50 > 0:10:53then our friends at Blue Peter can show you how.
0:10:53 > 0:10:56To find out how, go to the CBeebies website, grab a grown-up
0:10:56 > 0:10:58and click on the Let's Go Club.
0:10:58 > 0:11:02And you could even add a good Christmas joke to your card.
0:11:02 > 0:11:04Hey, Isaac, have you got a joke for us?
0:11:04 > 0:11:09What do Father Christmas's elves learn in school?
0:11:09 > 0:11:11The Elphabet!
0:11:11 > 0:11:13Did you get it? The Elphabet! Instead of the alphabet...
0:11:13 > 0:11:16Oh! That's really got me into the festive spirit.
0:11:16 > 0:11:18When they're done with their elphabet,
0:11:18 > 0:11:21I wonder if they put the Christmas decorations to good use,
0:11:21 > 0:11:24like Let's Goers Reeve and her friends did?
0:11:24 > 0:11:25It's We Did This.
0:11:27 > 0:11:30- # The Let's Go Club! - # Let's go! #
0:11:30 > 0:11:33Hi, I'm Reeve and these are my friends,
0:11:33 > 0:11:37Liam, Tamira, Ava and Barker.
0:11:37 > 0:11:41We love exploring outside and making homes for animals,
0:11:41 > 0:11:43birds and creepy crawlies.
0:11:43 > 0:11:46We are going to recycle Christmas trees
0:11:46 > 0:11:48and use them in our school garden.
0:11:51 > 0:11:56We're going to use this Christmas tree to make a fish hub. Let's go!
0:11:59 > 0:12:02First, we have to chop the tree into little bits.
0:12:08 > 0:12:14We are using long sticks to push the branches to the bottom.
0:12:14 > 0:12:18The tree makes a shelter and attracts insects,
0:12:18 > 0:12:20which make yummy snacks for the fish.
0:12:21 > 0:12:25Now we've made the fish hub, let's see what else we can do.
0:12:26 > 0:12:29Now we're going to replant this Christmas tree
0:12:29 > 0:12:33and decorate it with yummy snacks for the birds.
0:12:33 > 0:12:38Now we have made a new home for this tree, let's add the snacks.
0:12:39 > 0:12:42It's like decorating a Christmas tree.
0:12:42 > 0:12:45But instead of baubles, we're using fruit.
0:12:45 > 0:12:49It's like a Christmas tree for the birds.
0:12:49 > 0:12:53Even this old Christmas tree can be recycled.
0:12:53 > 0:12:58We have to take off the dead needles to make something called mulch.
0:12:58 > 0:13:04Mulch helps to keep the soil wet and stops the plants from drying out.
0:13:05 > 0:13:10We love recycling and helping nature, so we did this.
0:13:12 > 0:13:15- # The Let's Go Club! - # Let's go! #
0:13:15 > 0:13:18What a fantastic lot of Christmas recycling.

0:13:26 > 0:13:29I've no idea, but I do have a feeling you're going to tell me.

0:13:31 > 0:13:33You and your Christmas cracker jokes!
