0:00:02 > 0:00:04This is the Let's Go Club, but mini!
0:00:04 > 0:00:05Expect making, exploring,
0:00:05 > 0:00:08super-sizing, dancing,
0:00:08 > 0:00:10fact-finding and laughing.
0:00:10 > 0:00:12We've only got a few minutes,
0:00:12 > 0:00:16so get ready for more fun from The Let's Go Club.
0:00:16 > 0:00:17My name is Mason.
0:00:17 > 0:00:21And I'm Matthew, and today we're going on an underwater adventure.
0:00:21 > 0:00:22- BOTH:- Let's go!
0:00:25 > 0:00:27Andy is a scuba diver.
0:00:27 > 0:00:30He uses special equipment so he can swim underwater.
0:00:30 > 0:00:33This wet suit keeps me warm in the water.
0:00:33 > 0:00:35Now we're ready to be scuba divers too.
0:00:35 > 0:00:38What does it feel like, being underwater?
0:00:38 > 0:00:40Similar to space, where you're weightless.
0:00:40 > 0:00:44Astronauts like Tim Peake trained in a swimming pool
0:00:44 > 0:00:45before they went into space.
0:00:45 > 0:00:48Do people always go scuba diving in a pool?
0:00:48 > 0:00:51Today we'll be in the pool where it's safe,
0:00:51 > 0:00:53but with more practice you can go into the ocean
0:00:53 > 0:00:55where there's lots more to see.
0:00:55 > 0:00:59What equipment do you need to scuba dive?
0:00:59 > 0:01:02This is the scuba system, and the most important bit
0:01:02 > 0:01:04is this tank, which holds all of the air.
0:01:04 > 0:01:07Coming off the tank we have our mouthpiece,
0:01:07 > 0:01:10and this helps us breathe underwater.
0:01:10 > 0:01:11What we have here are the fins.
0:01:11 > 0:01:15These are going to go on our feet and make it a lot easier
0:01:15 > 0:01:18and quicker to go for a swim in the pool today.
0:01:18 > 0:01:20Can you talk under water?
0:01:20 > 0:01:24We can't talk underwater, but we use hand signals. So this is OK.
0:01:24 > 0:01:26That's fantastic.
0:01:26 > 0:01:29We've then got this signal - "let's go up to the surface".
0:01:29 > 0:01:33"Let's go down". If we were to have a problem, we signal like this.
0:01:33 > 0:01:37Maybe your ears are hurting, so you can go "problem"
0:01:37 > 0:01:41and then point at your ears so we know and we can fix it underwater.
0:01:41 > 0:01:44'Now it's time to get in the water.'
0:01:44 > 0:01:46I want you to put one arm through there for me.
0:01:46 > 0:01:49'We put on the jacket first...'
0:01:49 > 0:01:50That's it.
0:01:51 > 0:01:54'And last we put on the mask.'
0:01:57 > 0:02:01We're going to descend down, so we give that signal down.
0:02:06 > 0:02:09'Andy teaches us how to swim underwater.'
0:02:09 > 0:02:14'It's really cool and I feel weightless, just like an astronaut.
0:02:14 > 0:02:16'I'm telling Andy everything is OK.'
0:02:18 > 0:02:20You're amazing.
0:02:20 > 0:02:23- So, who's ready for some underwater games?- Me!
0:02:24 > 0:02:28'We are throwing a disc under water.'
0:02:28 > 0:02:31'Discs move slower underwater than in air,
0:02:31 > 0:02:34'but the water makes us move slower too,
0:02:34 > 0:02:36'so the disc is tricky to catch.'
0:02:38 > 0:02:41'The torpedo moves even quicker.'
0:02:41 > 0:02:43'Good catch, Matthew!'
0:02:45 > 0:02:48'We're having an underwater egg and spoon race,
0:02:48 > 0:02:51'using ping-pong balls instead of eggs.'
0:02:51 > 0:02:53'We need to hold the spoon upside down
0:02:53 > 0:02:56'to stop the ping-pong ball floating up.'
0:02:56 > 0:02:58'It's really tricky.'
0:03:02 > 0:03:04'We're doing underwater somersaults.'
0:03:04 > 0:03:07'And barrel rolls.
0:03:07 > 0:03:09'The barrel rolls were tricky.'
0:03:09 > 0:03:11You guys did absolutely fantastic.
0:03:11 > 0:03:14Here's some certificates saying you completed
0:03:14 > 0:03:16the Let's Go scuba diving class.
0:03:16 > 0:03:18- Wow.- Now can we jump in the pool?
0:03:18 > 0:03:22I think that's a good idea. One, two, three, jump!
