0:00:03 > 0:00:07I'm Stacey Dooley and I love animals of all shapes and sizes
0:00:07 > 0:00:10but sometimes, just like us, our furry friends get sick.
0:00:10 > 0:00:12Hey. Hello.
0:00:12 > 0:00:16Thankfully, when that does happen, there are amazing vets on hand to
0:00:16 > 0:00:17help fix them up.
0:00:20 > 0:00:22Meet passionate pet-lover, Cheryl.
0:00:22 > 0:00:25And that is how she broke it in the first place!
0:00:27 > 0:00:30The biggest softie of them all, gentle James.
0:00:30 > 0:00:33Hello, Stu. Go on, come for a little swim.
0:00:33 > 0:00:37The vet who talks to the animals, Cat.
0:00:37 > 0:00:38You are a snorty pig!
0:00:39 > 0:00:41No, don't eat the tape measure.
0:00:41 > 0:00:44And the one with all the best moves, Rory.
0:00:45 > 0:00:48Oh, look at that. Oh, wow, that was a snog!
0:00:51 > 0:00:54They're the vets with the Pets Factor.
0:01:00 > 0:01:02Coming up on today's show:
0:01:03 > 0:01:06James investigates why Honey's putting on weight.
0:01:06 > 0:01:09One thing that we can do is do an ultrasound scan of her tummy.
0:01:09 > 0:01:12But I don't know what I'm going to find.
0:01:12 > 0:01:13Hello!
0:01:13 > 0:01:16Cheryl's on a home visit to do a doggie checkup.
0:01:16 > 0:01:19Hi, Fifi! Fifi really wants a health check.
0:01:21 > 0:01:24And the pressure is on for Rory
0:01:24 > 0:01:26to help a dog with an appetite for pebbles.
0:01:26 > 0:01:29He's going to have some serious surgery now to get those out.
0:01:32 > 0:01:34First, we kick off in Bristol with James.
0:01:36 > 0:01:38Wow! Who have we got here?
0:01:38 > 0:01:41James gets to meet some weird and wonderful animals.
0:01:43 > 0:01:44He is fab!
0:01:46 > 0:01:48It's organised chaos, is what I'm going to say.
0:01:48 > 0:01:52But even for an experienced vet like James...
0:01:53 > 0:01:55Gosh, who've we got here?
0:01:55 > 0:01:58..a triple whammy of two guinea pigs and a tortoise is a first.
0:02:02 > 0:02:07At home, Honey and Fudge love each other so much they share everything.
0:02:07 > 0:02:09Even their food.
0:02:11 > 0:02:15But Ella and her brother Jacob are a bit more competitive.
0:02:15 > 0:02:20My pet's the best because when he's in the air he tries to swim.
0:02:21 > 0:02:25My pet's the best because she can eat all the leftover vegetables.
0:02:25 > 0:02:26Mmm, very talented.
0:02:28 > 0:02:30How about a race to decide?
0:02:30 > 0:02:31Game on!
0:02:31 > 0:02:34Surely the rodent will run rings around the tortoise.
0:02:34 > 0:02:373, 2, 1.
0:02:39 > 0:02:43It's an extremely slow start for both competitors.
0:02:43 > 0:02:46But Speedy has taken a surprise early lead.
0:02:46 > 0:02:51Honey is rooted to the spot, she's like a guinea pig in the headlights.
0:02:51 > 0:02:53Unbelievable scenes,
0:02:53 > 0:02:54it's Speedy over the line!
0:02:54 > 0:02:56I think we have a winner!
0:02:56 > 0:03:00So clearly he is Speedy by name and speedy by nature.
0:03:03 > 0:03:06Well, it's back to reality for these guys.
0:03:06 > 0:03:08Time to see vet James.
0:03:08 > 0:03:11I have to say, it's not everyday you see a tortoise and some guinea pigs.
0:03:11 > 0:03:15This is possibly the best morning you can have.
0:03:15 > 0:03:16Hi.
0:03:16 > 0:03:18First up, Speedy.
0:03:18 > 0:03:20He's come to have his toenails trimmed.
0:03:22 > 0:03:25So I'm not going to take a huge amount off, so don't be surprised if
0:03:25 > 0:03:27I only take the tips off.
0:03:27 > 0:03:29As you kind of get more confident with him, you may find
0:03:29 > 0:03:32that you're happy to do this at home, which is fine, you know?
0:03:32 > 0:03:34And we can teach you how to do it.
0:03:36 > 0:03:39And Speedy seems perfectly happy practising his front crawl.
0:03:41 > 0:03:43There you go! Right!
0:03:44 > 0:03:46Next in line is Honey.
0:03:46 > 0:03:50And the family are worried because she's been rapidly piling on weight.
0:03:50 > 0:03:52How long have you noticed that for?
0:03:52 > 0:03:54Last week maybe she's been a bit...
0:03:54 > 0:03:56- Bit more maybe.- A bit bigger, yeah.
0:03:56 > 0:03:59Being a bit podgy might not seem like a big deal, but sometimes it
0:03:59 > 0:04:02can be the sign of a serious underlying health problem.
0:04:02 > 0:04:06But one thing that we can do is do an ultrasound scan of her tummy and
0:04:06 > 0:04:09have a little look to see whether we've got any reason why we've got
0:04:09 > 0:04:12that swelling there. But I don't know what I'm going to find.
0:04:15 > 0:04:17It's an anxious time for everyone.
0:04:17 > 0:04:18Here we go.
0:04:18 > 0:04:20But Honey won't be on her own.
0:04:20 > 0:04:23She's got her bezzy mate Fudge to keep her company.
0:04:31 > 0:04:32Come on, big man!
0:04:34 > 0:04:37Let's head to London to see Rory.
0:04:37 > 0:04:39Perfect, they're beautiful.
0:04:39 > 0:04:42His favourite part of the job is treating cute puppies.
0:04:42 > 0:04:44What?!
0:04:44 > 0:04:48However, they do have a tendency to chew EVERYTHING!
0:04:48 > 0:04:50You eat that, that's perfect.
0:04:52 > 0:04:56Chewing things might be a great way to explore their world, but eating
0:04:56 > 0:05:00something he shouldn't have has landed Rory's next patient in a bit
0:05:00 > 0:05:01of bother.
0:05:01 > 0:05:03- Who've you got here?- It's Rufus. - Hi, Rufus.
0:05:03 > 0:05:06He's come to see Rory.
0:05:06 > 0:05:11Like most young dogs, nine-month-old Rufus likes something to chew on.
0:05:11 > 0:05:13But squeaky toys are not his thing.
0:05:14 > 0:05:16He has far more adventurous tastes.
0:05:18 > 0:05:20But just as you shouldn't play with your food...
0:05:21 > 0:05:23..neither should you eat your toys.
0:05:23 > 0:05:27And it now seems that Rufus has put on a couple of stones.
0:05:30 > 0:05:32Trouble. How you doing?
0:05:32 > 0:05:33Come on through.
0:05:35 > 0:05:39So, vomiting every night, a few times?
0:05:39 > 0:05:43Last night from when I got him home and then one time and then once this
0:05:43 > 0:05:48- morning.- OK. So, basically, today, go in and get them out.
0:05:49 > 0:05:51Silly Rufus!
0:05:51 > 0:05:54I don't know why he thinks stones are so delicious, but the longer
0:05:54 > 0:05:57they're inside him, the more trouble they can cause.
0:05:57 > 0:05:58I'll look after him, don't you worry.
0:05:58 > 0:06:00I'll be on the phone.
0:06:00 > 0:06:02Goodbye.
0:06:04 > 0:06:07That's really horrible because it's the first time that we've been
0:06:07 > 0:06:09separated since I've had him.
0:06:09 > 0:06:10He's always with me.
0:06:11 > 0:06:13So, yeah, it's quite difficult.
0:06:13 > 0:06:15# Don't leave
0:06:15 > 0:06:19# Shut your mind off and let your heart breathe... #
0:06:19 > 0:06:22Stones can be a really tricky one. Because they're smooth,
0:06:22 > 0:06:25they can actually move quite far through Rufus's guts.
0:06:25 > 0:06:27But as they go, they cause a lot of damage.
0:06:27 > 0:06:30# I won't trade this for nothing... #
0:06:30 > 0:06:33A quick injection and it's off to dreamland for Rufus.
0:06:33 > 0:06:35Now he's under anaesthetic, we're going to do an X-ray
0:06:35 > 0:06:37and then into theatre.
0:06:40 > 0:06:43# Love you better than me. #
0:06:43 > 0:06:47His pebble-eating habit has landed him in a bit of bother and he's
0:06:47 > 0:06:49going to have some serious surgery now to get those out.
0:06:50 > 0:06:52The pressure's really on for Rory.
0:06:54 > 0:06:55Good.
0:06:55 > 0:06:56Time to get going.
0:06:58 > 0:07:00Are you ready, Rory?
0:07:00 > 0:07:01I am super ready.
0:07:01 > 0:07:04And Rory always follows his strict dress code.
0:07:05 > 0:07:09Shoes off, funky socks today.
0:07:10 > 0:07:13As far as I'm concerned, when the surgeon's gown goes on,
0:07:13 > 0:07:14the shoes come off.
0:07:15 > 0:07:17OK, so, let's get these stones out.
0:07:21 > 0:07:24Join us later on the hunt for the missing pebbles.
0:07:24 > 0:07:26I'm getting a little bit concerned that I'm struggling
0:07:26 > 0:07:27to find the stone.
0:07:29 > 0:07:31And Cheryl's mum is in a bit of bother.
0:07:31 > 0:07:33Have you started brushing his teeth?
0:07:33 > 0:07:34- No.- Why not?- Um...
0:07:37 > 0:07:39Oh, yeah!
0:07:39 > 0:07:43Let's get back to Bristol with James and Honey the guinea pig.
0:07:44 > 0:07:47The family have noticed Honey's expanding waistline.
0:07:47 > 0:07:49Come on, Honey.
0:07:49 > 0:07:53So James wants to do an ultrasound to check her internal organs.
0:07:54 > 0:07:57Right, let's just turn these lights off.
0:07:59 > 0:08:00OK.
0:08:02 > 0:08:04If there's a problem somewhere,
0:08:04 > 0:08:07you sometimes get some fluid leaking out and that separates all
0:08:07 > 0:08:09your organs out and they kind of look like they're floating around in
0:08:09 > 0:08:14a swimming pool and that is when we have a bit of a clue that there
0:08:14 > 0:08:18might be something not very good in there. So let's have a look.
0:08:23 > 0:08:26Right, so there we've got our liver.
0:08:28 > 0:08:30I know, I know, it's OK.
0:08:30 > 0:08:31I know, good girl, good girl.
0:08:34 > 0:08:37Doing an ultrasound on small, wriggly animals is tricky
0:08:37 > 0:08:39because you can't always see everything clearly.
0:08:39 > 0:08:42But to investigate further would mean risky surgery.
0:08:45 > 0:08:50Actually, looking at this, I would say this might be quite good news.
0:08:50 > 0:08:52Could you just hit the lights please, George? Thank you.
0:08:55 > 0:09:01I think she might just be a little bit of a porky piggy here!
0:09:01 > 0:09:03It might just be that she's got a good appetite.
0:09:05 > 0:09:08James wants Honey to go on a diet to see if that gets her
0:09:08 > 0:09:10back into shape.
0:09:11 > 0:09:16OK, right, so the good news is that we don't need to worry about going
0:09:16 > 0:09:19for surgery. The diagnosis that we're kind of going with is the fact
0:09:19 > 0:09:22that I think she's just a little bit overweight,
0:09:22 > 0:09:25I'm afraid to say! But at this stage, I don't want to do any more
0:09:25 > 0:09:28tests, I don't want to talk about surgery, anything like that,
0:09:28 > 0:09:31we just need to bring her food back a little bit and wait and see.
0:09:34 > 0:09:36Animals can't talk to us and tell us how they're feeling and, in small
0:09:36 > 0:09:40pets particularly, things can take a turn for the worse really quickly.
0:09:40 > 0:09:42You have to keep checking them.
0:09:43 > 0:09:45All right, nice to see you, bye-bye.
0:09:45 > 0:09:49Fingers crossed, Honey. We'll catch up again with you very soon.
0:09:59 > 0:10:01Hey, hey, I'm talking to you!
0:10:01 > 0:10:03Next, we're with Cheryl in Essex.
0:10:04 > 0:10:07It's the end of a long day at the practice.
0:10:07 > 0:10:09Cerys, come on, let's go, let's go, let's go.
0:10:09 > 0:10:12And Cheryl is taking her dog Cerys on a family visit.
0:10:12 > 0:10:15Come on, girlie girl!
0:10:15 > 0:10:18COME ON!
0:10:18 > 0:10:21I work a lot of hours at the practice but I try to take some time
0:10:21 > 0:10:24out to go and visit my family whenever possible.
0:10:24 > 0:10:25DOORBELL RINGS
0:10:25 > 0:10:28Cheryl's mum Gillian lives nearby.
0:10:28 > 0:10:31- Hello!- Hi, guys! Hiya! - How are you?
0:10:33 > 0:10:35Do you want something to drink, Chel?
0:10:35 > 0:10:36- Yes, please!- What do you want?
0:10:36 > 0:10:38- Cup of tea?- Yes, please, thanks.
0:10:38 > 0:10:40Hi, guys!
0:10:40 > 0:10:43And, of course, having a daughter as a vet means free
0:10:43 > 0:10:45doggie health checks.
0:10:45 > 0:10:47Hello!
0:10:47 > 0:10:49Are you a good girl, Fif? Are you a good dog?
0:10:49 > 0:10:54It was always my ambition for one of my children to become a vet.
0:10:54 > 0:11:00- That's true!- And it's fantastic for us to have a vet in the family.
0:11:01 > 0:11:05Hachiko and Fifi, the Pomeranians, and Churchill the Cavalier
0:11:05 > 0:11:08are all regular patients for Cheryl.
0:11:08 > 0:11:11Hachi, you've got to have a vet check, OK?
0:11:11 > 0:11:13- How's he doing?- Yeah, he seems to be all right.
0:11:13 > 0:11:16One-year-old Hachiko is Gillian's little baby.
0:11:16 > 0:11:18Have you started brushing his teeth?
0:11:18 > 0:11:20- No.- Why not?- Um...
0:11:20 > 0:11:24Mum, you need to practise brushing his teeth, you know, you really do.
0:11:27 > 0:11:30Even though I am a grown-up, and a qualified vet,
0:11:30 > 0:11:32my mum STILL doesn't listen to me!
0:11:32 > 0:11:35Aren't you lucky you've got such a good vet?
0:11:35 > 0:11:36Next it's Fifi's turn.
0:11:36 > 0:11:38She's volunteering herself.
0:11:38 > 0:11:40Hi, Fifi!
0:11:40 > 0:11:41Fifi really wants a health check.
0:11:41 > 0:11:43- Run free! Good boy!- Good boy!
0:11:45 > 0:11:47What beautiful teeth you have! Yeah.
0:11:47 > 0:11:50Good girl! There's nothing wrong with you, you're the healthy dog,
0:11:50 > 0:11:52clever girl!
0:11:52 > 0:11:55Yes!
0:11:55 > 0:11:58Last but not least, it's time for old boy Churchill, the Cavalier.
0:11:58 > 0:12:00Come on, Hilly.
0:12:00 > 0:12:03He's 12 and is not as strong on his feet nowadays,
0:12:03 > 0:12:08but mum Gillian still loves taking him on walking holidays.
0:12:08 > 0:12:11So, what, are you saying he can't go ever on holiday again?
0:12:11 > 0:12:14It's not that he can't go on holiday, he's not young any more,
0:12:14 > 0:12:15- it's sad but he...- Church.
0:12:15 > 0:12:17He can't be doing those big walks.
0:12:17 > 0:12:20It would be like taking someone with a hip replacement to climb
0:12:20 > 0:12:23Mount Snowdon or something. Do a different type of holiday.
0:12:23 > 0:12:25They like the Lake District and so do I!
0:12:26 > 0:12:28The Lake District?!
0:12:28 > 0:12:31That's full of hills! I think she needs to start taking them somewhere
0:12:31 > 0:12:35nice and flat, like maybe Norfolk.
0:12:35 > 0:12:37- Good boy.- Health checks done...
0:12:37 > 0:12:39- Twist!- ..time for some fun.
0:12:39 > 0:12:41- Sit.- Paw.
0:12:41 > 0:12:43Oh, Hachi! Other paw.
0:12:43 > 0:12:46And these dogs certainly know how to show their gratitude.
0:12:46 > 0:12:48High five!
0:12:48 > 0:12:50Oh! Good boy!
0:12:56 > 0:12:58Excuse me, will you come down, please?
0:12:58 > 0:13:01Back to London to join Rory and Rufus.
0:13:04 > 0:13:07This nine-month-old puppy is having major surgery.
0:13:07 > 0:13:09- Ready? Happy?- Yep.
0:13:10 > 0:13:14Rufus doesn't bother with the usual doggie chew toys.
0:13:14 > 0:13:16He's got much more adventurous tastes.
0:13:16 > 0:13:20But now he's swallowed something he shouldn't have and he's put on a
0:13:20 > 0:13:21couple of stones.
0:13:23 > 0:13:25Rory has cut open Rufus's belly to search for them.
0:13:27 > 0:13:29And it doesn't take long to find the first one.
0:13:31 > 0:13:33SQUARK! If you're squeamish, look away now.
0:13:33 > 0:13:35There it is!
0:13:36 > 0:13:39But the other stone is playing hide and seek.
0:13:39 > 0:13:41Where on earth is...
0:13:42 > 0:13:44..that second stone?
0:13:44 > 0:13:48The more I'm digging around, the more I'm disrupting the organs and
0:13:48 > 0:13:51I don't want to be doing that cos they're already angry because
0:13:51 > 0:13:53they've got stones in them.
0:13:53 > 0:13:55When you're trying to find something in the intestines,
0:13:55 > 0:13:59you've got to carefully feel all the way along.
0:13:59 > 0:14:01I'm getting a little bit concerned that I'm struggling to find
0:14:01 > 0:14:03this stone.
0:14:03 > 0:14:05I'm not enjoying this so far.
0:14:08 > 0:14:11After ten minutes of rooting inside Rufus...
0:14:11 > 0:14:14HE EXHALES LOUDLY
0:14:14 > 0:14:16..Rory has finally found the second one.
0:14:16 > 0:14:19Oh, I was beginning to think that wasn't going to come out.
0:14:20 > 0:14:22SQUARK, SQUARK!
0:14:24 > 0:14:27OK, time to do the brave bits.
0:14:27 > 0:14:32After some careful cutting, the stone quite literally pops out.
0:14:37 > 0:14:39So that's stone number one.
0:14:39 > 0:14:41Leave him over there.
0:14:41 > 0:14:42Time for number two.
0:14:49 > 0:14:51Wow, they're big stones for a small dog.
0:14:51 > 0:14:53HE SINGS
0:14:55 > 0:14:57Two stones out.
0:14:57 > 0:14:58- SINGING:- I got the stones out the dog,
0:14:58 > 0:15:01I got the stones out the dog, na-na-na!
0:15:01 > 0:15:03All right, stitch him up.
0:15:03 > 0:15:05And we can get him out of here.
0:15:05 > 0:15:07It's such a relief that Rufus is OK and we've got those
0:15:07 > 0:15:09two huge stones out of him.
0:15:09 > 0:15:11Good job, well done!
0:15:12 > 0:15:14Now, we've got to work out how to stop him eating any more.
0:15:16 > 0:15:20While Rory - ahem - inspects the trouble-causing stones...
0:15:22 > 0:15:24..nurse Jane beds Rufus down.
0:15:25 > 0:15:29And when he wakes up, he's going to be feeling a whole lot better,
0:15:29 > 0:15:31as well as a few stones lighter.
0:15:31 > 0:15:35# I need somebody who can love me like that. #
0:15:43 > 0:15:46Time to get back to Bristol with James and Honey the guinea pig.
0:15:48 > 0:15:50James has put Honey on a diet to try and tackle
0:15:50 > 0:15:53her rapidly expanding waistline.
0:15:53 > 0:15:56- Hi, there. How are you doing?- Hi! - Now, then...
0:15:58 > 0:16:01Three weeks later, Honey and her family are back.
0:16:01 > 0:16:02Right, come on through.
0:16:04 > 0:16:07But instead of losing weight, she seems to be getting bigger.
0:16:07 > 0:16:10So she's actually gone up slightly.
0:16:11 > 0:16:13And more worryingly, she seems uncomfortable.
0:16:15 > 0:16:18I was just holding her earlier and she just kept squeaking when she was
0:16:18 > 0:16:22breathing and a little squeak would come out of her.
0:16:22 > 0:16:25Yesterday she just laid by her food bowl most of the day.
0:16:25 > 0:16:26She didn't really move.
0:16:28 > 0:16:32I'm just wondering whether I can feel a little lump in her tummy.
0:16:35 > 0:16:38When she was in for a scan, I had a really good feel and a look around,
0:16:38 > 0:16:41we didn't see anything untoward and I couldn't feel anything
0:16:41 > 0:16:42at the time.
0:16:43 > 0:16:46I think what I might do is just get one of the other vets to feel it as
0:16:46 > 0:16:49- well.- Yeah.- Some problems are really hard to diagnose and that's when I'm
0:16:49 > 0:16:52so glad that I can call one of the other vets to come and take a second
0:16:52 > 0:16:54look. Can you feel a lump there?
0:16:54 > 0:16:56- Yeah, yeah, definitely.- I can definitely feel something
0:16:56 > 0:16:57- that shouldn't be there.- Yeah.
0:16:57 > 0:17:01She's gained weight as well, which I think is bizarre, the fact that
0:17:01 > 0:17:03- she's been getting more...- I don't think that's normal.
0:17:03 > 0:17:05I don't.
0:17:05 > 0:17:10James now has to tell the family that Honey could be seriously ill.
0:17:10 > 0:17:14OK, I've just had a little chat with Amy and Katie and I think we can
0:17:14 > 0:17:16feel something in there.
0:17:16 > 0:17:18This could be something a bit more worrying.
0:17:18 > 0:17:21So in terms of a cancerous process possibly.
0:17:21 > 0:17:24What we'd like to do before we jump to that conclusion,
0:17:24 > 0:17:26we'd quite like to just put the scanner back on and try and get a
0:17:26 > 0:17:28bit more of an answer for you.
0:17:33 > 0:17:35Wow, look at that now.
0:17:35 > 0:17:39Gosh, that's totally different to where we were three weeks ago.
0:17:39 > 0:17:43So you can now see we've just got all these loops of black, which
0:17:43 > 0:17:45tends to indicate fluid.
0:17:45 > 0:17:47Oh, no.
0:17:50 > 0:17:53With the growth so advanced and Honey starting to suffer,
0:17:53 > 0:17:55there's nothing more James can do.
0:17:56 > 0:17:58I think, unfortunately...
0:17:59 > 0:18:01..this might be the end of the road for little Honey.
0:18:01 > 0:18:04- Oh, poor Honey.- I think it might be time to say goodbye.
0:18:04 > 0:18:07- She's really uncomfortable with it as well.- She is, isn't she?
0:18:07 > 0:18:11You're not a happy guinea pig. I'm sorry, Honey.
0:18:11 > 0:18:13This is not going to be very easy.
0:18:15 > 0:18:18Having to tell owners that their precious pet, who's part of
0:18:18 > 0:18:21the family, needs to be put to sleep is the hardest part of the job.
0:18:28 > 0:18:32Putting an animal to sleep or letting them go is not an act of
0:18:32 > 0:18:37cruelty, it's actually an act of kindness and in Honey's case she was
0:18:37 > 0:18:40suffering, so the kindest thing to do was to let her go.
0:18:43 > 0:18:45But it doesn't make it any easier.
0:18:45 > 0:18:46You know?
0:18:46 > 0:18:49It'll never get easier, you never...
0:18:49 > 0:18:53I think the moment that that becomes just a routine part of the job is
0:18:53 > 0:18:55the moment that you should probably hang the stethoscope up.
0:19:02 > 0:19:04That was just heartbreaking.
0:19:04 > 0:19:07The thing about being a vet is that sometimes you do have to deal
0:19:07 > 0:19:10with some sad situations.
0:19:10 > 0:19:12But there are also happy outcomes.
0:19:12 > 0:19:15Remember Rufus, the dog who ate the stones?
0:19:15 > 0:19:18Well, a few hours after surgery...
0:19:18 > 0:19:20- Look who's here?- ..he was reunited with his owner.
0:19:20 > 0:19:23Look, who's that? There you are, sweetie.
0:19:23 > 0:19:27And I'm glad to say that stones are no longer a part of his diet.
0:19:27 > 0:19:29That's what he got.
0:19:30 > 0:19:31No more of those, please.
0:19:33 > 0:19:35Next time on The Pets Factor:
0:19:35 > 0:19:39Cat the vet gets up close with some irresistible Cockapoo pups.
0:19:39 > 0:19:41Let me have a look at you.
0:19:41 > 0:19:43Hi!
0:19:43 > 0:19:46And Cheryl has an emergency on her hands...
0:19:46 > 0:19:48A dog with a fractured leg and a foreign body.
0:19:48 > 0:19:50..with a dog that's landed in double trouble.
0:19:50 > 0:19:53I think this is a first and we haven't had many firsts.
