0:00:08 > 0:00:11'We're going to show you how to turn useless rubbish...'

0:00:11 > 0:00:13What are you going to do with this lot?

0:00:13 > 0:00:15'..into amazing useful stuff.'

0:00:15 > 0:00:16So cool.

0:00:16 > 0:00:18All here on...

0:00:23 > 0:00:27We meet an artist who creates amazing designs on old shoes.

0:00:27 > 0:00:31We visit someone who wants to transform her own treads

0:00:31 > 0:00:36and we show you how to make a crazy creature you can keep your cash in.

0:00:36 > 0:00:38But first, don't chuck it out, chuck it up.

0:00:39 > 0:00:40Bleurgh!

0:00:40 > 0:00:42This is prank puke.

0:00:42 > 0:00:44- You all right there? - Yeah, yeah.

0:00:44 > 0:00:46Could you help me? Someone's made a right mess,

0:00:46 > 0:00:48would you like to help me clean it up?

0:00:48 > 0:00:51Please, honestly, I don't want to do it myself.

0:00:51 > 0:00:54Somebody's made a bit of a mess underneath this tea towel.

0:00:54 > 0:00:56Can you just help me sort it out?

0:00:56 > 0:00:58'And I've got them hooked in.

0:00:58 > 0:00:59'And it's away.'

0:00:59 > 0:01:01GIRLS LAUGH

0:01:01 > 0:01:02Is that real?

0:01:02 > 0:01:04'He's not sure what to make of it.'

0:01:04 > 0:01:07- MICHELLE LAUGHS - It's fake.

0:01:07 > 0:01:08Oh, dear.

0:01:08 > 0:01:10'Told you it wasn't pretty.'

0:01:10 > 0:01:11- How?- I don't know.

0:01:11 > 0:01:13'Mop it up.'

0:01:13 > 0:01:14THEY LAUGH

0:01:14 > 0:01:15It's fake.

0:01:15 > 0:01:16'What do you think, madam?'

0:01:16 > 0:01:18That's disgusting.

0:01:18 > 0:01:19Disgusting, yeah

0:01:19 > 0:01:21That's not very pleasant.

0:01:21 > 0:01:22THEY LAUGH

0:01:22 > 0:01:25Yeah, got you, you see.

0:01:25 > 0:01:26- That's pretty sick.- Hey, good one.

0:01:26 > 0:01:28I'm going to show you how to make it.

0:01:28 > 0:01:30'I'm going to show you how to prank your mates out of stuff

0:01:30 > 0:01:32'you have lying around.'

0:01:32 > 0:01:35OK, so here's how you make yourself some prank puke.

0:01:35 > 0:01:39First of all, you need to chuck a load of PVA glue into an old bowl

0:01:39 > 0:01:43and you're going to mix that with brown, green and yellow paint.

0:01:43 > 0:01:48So just chuck a load of brown in, good old dollop in there,

0:01:48 > 0:01:51then let's go for some yellow,

0:01:51 > 0:01:54chuck that in, and a bit of green.

0:01:56 > 0:01:59Wicked. Right, I'm going to give it a stir with an old spoon to

0:01:59 > 0:02:04hopefully really bring out that sicky colour. Yep.

0:02:04 > 0:02:06Once you're happy with your colour

0:02:06 > 0:02:08and you've given it a good old stir,

0:02:08 > 0:02:11pour it onto a piece of cardboard.

0:02:11 > 0:02:13And I've covered it with some clingfilm

0:02:13 > 0:02:15and basically that just means that

0:02:15 > 0:02:17when the sick dries onto the clingfilm,

0:02:17 > 0:02:20you can easily just peel it off, like you're peeling back a sticker.

0:02:20 > 0:02:23Pour a good dollop in the middle like that,

0:02:23 > 0:02:24just slosh it on.

0:02:25 > 0:02:28And then just get an old paintbrush,

0:02:28 > 0:02:30just start spreading it out.

0:02:32 > 0:02:35You want it to look like it's made a proper splat on the road,

0:02:35 > 0:02:38so just use your paintbrush to really brush it out.

0:02:38 > 0:02:41This is starting to look really good already.

0:02:41 > 0:02:42OK, I think I'm happy with my splat.

0:02:42 > 0:02:45So, next I'm going to add a bit of texture to my sick

0:02:45 > 0:02:49and for that I've got an old sponge and an old scouring pad.

0:02:49 > 0:02:51So, just cut off little bits of corners,

0:02:51 > 0:02:54same for the scouring pad,

0:02:54 > 0:02:56and then, kind of much like a pizza topping, you're just

0:02:56 > 0:02:58going to sprinkle them, just like this.

0:02:58 > 0:03:00It's like a pavement pizza.

0:03:01 > 0:03:03So, this is like the food for your sick -

0:03:03 > 0:03:05your nice orange bits for your carrots,

0:03:05 > 0:03:08then these can be the potatoes.

0:03:08 > 0:03:10Just spread them around.

0:03:10 > 0:03:12OK, I think my sick is done,

0:03:12 > 0:03:16so you're going to leave this to dry.

0:03:16 > 0:03:20Once it's dry, it should look something like this.

0:03:20 > 0:03:22And all you need to do is just really simply

0:03:22 > 0:03:27peel off the sick from the clingfilm.

0:03:27 > 0:03:28Just like that.

0:03:28 > 0:03:29Just peel it away...

0:03:31 > 0:03:34..and there you have your prank puke.

0:03:34 > 0:03:36Bleurgh!

0:03:48 > 0:03:50BIRDS COO

0:03:51 > 0:03:54ALARM RINGS

0:04:12 > 0:04:14Amazingly, in the UK...

0:04:22 > 0:04:24And I know someone whose soles need saving.

0:04:26 > 0:04:29Meet Ithar. She loves fashion.

0:04:29 > 0:04:32She designs her own dresses,

0:04:32 > 0:04:34she personalises accessories

0:04:34 > 0:04:37and she has plenty of clothing to mix and match.

0:04:37 > 0:04:40But it's her plimsolls that are posing a problem.

0:04:40 > 0:04:43Can we stop them for being bound for the bin?

0:04:43 > 0:04:45So, Ithar, spill the beans. What's up?

0:04:45 > 0:04:48Well, I have some old, dirty shoes

0:04:48 > 0:04:49and I'm planning to throw them away,

0:04:49 > 0:04:52but do you have any idea that I can do anything with them?

0:04:52 > 0:04:54- You're going to throw these away?- Yeah.

0:04:54 > 0:04:56- Do they still fit?- Yeah.

0:04:56 > 0:04:57- Do they still work?- Yeah.

0:04:57 > 0:04:59Well, we don't need to throw these away.

0:04:59 > 0:05:02How's about we get creative with these shoes?

0:05:02 > 0:05:03That sounds good.

0:05:03 > 0:05:07Yeah? I know someone who can really walk the walk with old shoes.

0:05:07 > 0:05:08Take a look at this.

0:05:12 > 0:05:13I'm Ali O'Neill,

0:05:13 > 0:05:16I'm a shoe tattooist and today I'm going to show you

0:05:16 > 0:05:18a great way to give an old pair of trainers

0:05:18 > 0:05:19a new life.

0:05:22 > 0:05:25So it's a really good idea to plan your design before you start

0:05:25 > 0:05:27and a good idea is to sketch it out

0:05:27 > 0:05:28before you start to paint.

0:05:28 > 0:05:31So, here's the design I'm going to do today.

0:05:31 > 0:05:33OK. So you probably can't tell what it is yet

0:05:33 > 0:05:36but it's a Mexican-inspired design,

0:05:36 > 0:05:38it's got some abstract elements

0:05:38 > 0:05:41and some leaves and when we get it painted it's going to be

0:05:41 > 0:05:43really colourful and it's going to really pop out.

0:05:43 > 0:05:44POP!

0:05:44 > 0:05:46We're going to do a base painting

0:05:46 > 0:05:47with white acrylic

0:05:47 > 0:05:50and mixing it with some fabric medium,

0:05:50 > 0:05:52which makes it more pliable,

0:05:52 > 0:05:54so you can work on fabric with that.

0:05:58 > 0:06:01And it's crucial that you get the white base,

0:06:01 > 0:06:02so that any painting you do on top

0:06:02 > 0:06:04when you're getting your sketch on top

0:06:04 > 0:06:07really pops out, it doesn't just sink into the canvas.

0:06:10 > 0:06:13The other thing that's great about painting a white base is that

0:06:13 > 0:06:16I'm able to sketch my design on and I can see it really clearly

0:06:16 > 0:06:17and work from that.

0:06:20 > 0:06:23I let it dry and now I can start to

0:06:23 > 0:06:25sketch my design onto the shoes.

0:06:28 > 0:06:29I like to draw a design

0:06:29 > 0:06:31that goes across both shoes.

0:06:33 > 0:06:35It's kind of like a jigsaw puzzle -

0:06:35 > 0:06:38when you fit it together, it makes a complete picture.

0:06:43 > 0:06:45So now I can start painting.

0:06:47 > 0:06:49I'm going to use a really vibrant red

0:06:49 > 0:06:50and that's the great thing

0:06:50 > 0:06:52about customising your own shoes,

0:06:52 > 0:06:53is you can choose any colour you want.

0:06:55 > 0:06:58Don't be scared of putting too much paint on

0:06:58 > 0:07:01because you can always take it off.

0:07:01 > 0:07:03That's the great thing about working with acrylics.

0:07:03 > 0:07:05It doesn't dry straightaway,

0:07:05 > 0:07:07you've got time to rectify any mistakes.

0:07:13 > 0:07:15I'm going to use a couple of different yellows -

0:07:15 > 0:07:17I've got a darker yellow

0:07:17 > 0:07:20and a really vibrant one.

0:07:20 > 0:07:23That almost acts like a background.

0:07:23 > 0:07:27Bring the bright yellow right in, like a highlight.

0:07:27 > 0:07:29So, now you can start to see

0:07:29 > 0:07:31the range of colours

0:07:31 > 0:07:33and how bright they are and how they

0:07:33 > 0:07:34complement each other.

0:07:40 > 0:07:43Now I've finished painting the design

0:07:43 > 0:07:45and I've just finished off

0:07:45 > 0:07:47the background in black acrylic

0:07:47 > 0:07:49and it just makes the design pop out.

0:07:49 > 0:07:50and to enhance that even more

0:07:50 > 0:07:52I'm just going to finish it off now

0:07:52 > 0:07:54with some permanent markers.

0:07:58 > 0:07:59You don't have to stop your

0:07:59 > 0:08:01customising just at the painting.

0:08:01 > 0:08:04You can change your laces if your shoes have laces,

0:08:04 > 0:08:05or you can add some stickers

0:08:05 > 0:08:07or you can use permanent markers.

0:08:07 > 0:08:10I like to use a white permanent marker, just adds a little bit

0:08:10 > 0:08:12of highlight to my design.

0:08:17 > 0:08:19One final touch I'm going to add to this particular design,

0:08:19 > 0:08:22I'm just going to stick a few diamantes on

0:08:22 > 0:08:24and just add a real bit of bling.

0:08:34 > 0:08:35So, here we are.

0:08:36 > 0:08:38My finished shoe tattoo design.

0:08:44 > 0:08:45I love how Ali rescued

0:08:45 > 0:08:47those old shoes and turned them

0:08:47 > 0:08:48into something really unique,

0:08:48 > 0:08:51with a bit of paint and some imagination.

0:08:51 > 0:08:54And great inspiration for how we can help Ithar!

0:08:54 > 0:08:57So, this is the plan for your trainers, OK?

0:08:57 > 0:08:59- Have a look at that. - That's really cool.

0:08:59 > 0:09:02We're going to turn your trainers into skeleton shoes.

0:09:02 > 0:09:04- Yeah?- Cool.- All right. Wicked.

0:09:04 > 0:09:06Well, this is how we make it.

0:09:06 > 0:09:08First, we need to take the laces out

0:09:08 > 0:09:11of your old ones, so that we can keep them nice and clean.

0:09:11 > 0:09:13So, you get some sticky-back plastic

0:09:13 > 0:09:15and then you start to draw on

0:09:15 > 0:09:16the design you want.

0:09:16 > 0:09:19Your design can be anything. We're doing the skeleton's foot

0:09:19 > 0:09:21but you could do birds on there,

0:09:21 > 0:09:23butterflies...yeah, anything.

0:09:25 > 0:09:27One thing to think about,

0:09:27 > 0:09:30make sure your design fits onto your shoe.

0:09:30 > 0:09:32Those are the bones.

0:09:32 > 0:09:34What we need to do, because it's sticky-back plastic,

0:09:34 > 0:09:36we need to cut these bones out

0:09:36 > 0:09:38and then we'll be able to stick them onto the shoe.

0:09:38 > 0:09:40- Do you reckon you can do that for me?- Sure.

0:09:45 > 0:09:48So, Ithar, what other designs do you think would be good

0:09:48 > 0:09:50on a pair of trainers or shoes?

0:09:50 > 0:09:51Maybe the seaside.

0:09:51 > 0:09:53Like some of the bits and bobs

0:09:53 > 0:09:56that you might find at the seaside - sea shells and things like that?

0:09:56 > 0:09:58Yeah, that's a good idea.

0:09:58 > 0:10:00Do you reckon they'd make a good present?

0:10:00 > 0:10:02Yeah.

0:10:02 > 0:10:05Maybe you could revamp your brothers' shoes or something.

0:10:05 > 0:10:07Do you reckon they'd be up for that?

0:10:07 > 0:10:08If he'd let me.

0:10:08 > 0:10:12So, have you ever made any of the dresses that you've designed?

0:10:12 > 0:10:13No, not yet.

0:10:13 > 0:10:16- Not yet.- My mum makes me dresses,

0:10:16 > 0:10:18so I was thinking about asking her to make me one of them.

0:10:18 > 0:10:19Nice.

0:10:19 > 0:10:22At least you know no-one else have got your dresses.

0:10:22 > 0:10:24Yeah. Unique.

0:10:24 > 0:10:26I'm on my fourth one.

0:10:26 > 0:10:27- You're on your fourth?- Yeah.

0:10:27 > 0:10:30- I've just finished my fourth.- OK.

0:10:30 > 0:10:32I've just finished my fourth. I'm moving onto number five.

0:10:32 > 0:10:34I'm going to try and finish before you.

0:10:34 > 0:10:35NIGEL LAUGHS

0:10:35 > 0:10:38- Right, I'm finished.- Perfect timing.

0:10:38 > 0:10:41Next, we need to stick our little bones pieces, which can be

0:10:41 > 0:10:43quite fiddly, to our old shoes.

0:10:43 > 0:10:45Work out where each piece goes.

0:10:45 > 0:10:48So, if you look at our design, start with this bone right there.

0:10:48 > 0:10:49- See it?- Yeah.

0:10:49 > 0:10:50Stick that...

0:10:50 > 0:10:53Yeah, exactly, right there.

0:10:54 > 0:10:57See that? I'm going to stick that

0:10:57 > 0:11:00to the shoe just there, like you said.

0:11:02 > 0:11:06'Just keep sticking the bones on, one after another.'

0:11:06 > 0:11:09What do you think your friends are going to think of these shoes?

0:11:09 > 0:11:11I think they're going to think they're really cool.

0:11:11 > 0:11:15Think they might ask me to give them one.

0:11:15 > 0:11:17- Reckon?- To make them one.

0:11:17 > 0:11:19Isn't it cool that you're going to save loads of money

0:11:19 > 0:11:22cos you won't have to go out and buy new shoes all the time?

0:11:22 > 0:11:24Yeah, and you can just keep making new ones.

0:11:24 > 0:11:25Yeah, exactly.

0:11:25 > 0:11:28All we need to do now is to paint them.

0:11:28 > 0:11:31Now, we've got some special fabric paint here

0:11:31 > 0:11:32that we're going to use to

0:11:32 > 0:11:33colour the shoes, because

0:11:33 > 0:11:35we don't want the paint to wash off.

0:11:35 > 0:11:37This stuff is really good for that.

0:11:37 > 0:11:39So, we take our black fabric paint...

0:11:39 > 0:11:41You've got a brush there, I've got one here.

0:11:41 > 0:11:44Paint over your old shoes.

0:11:44 > 0:11:47Now, what's really good is because we've got the plastic on there,

0:11:47 > 0:11:50the paint won't stay where the plastic is

0:11:50 > 0:11:52and that's how we get the design on there, OK?

0:11:52 > 0:11:55- OK.- So, you take that one, I'll take this one.

0:11:55 > 0:11:59Be careful of the eyelets

0:11:59 > 0:12:01and keep the paint off the soles, as well.

0:12:01 > 0:12:04If the paint does go on the eyelets

0:12:04 > 0:12:06or on the sole, don't worry,

0:12:06 > 0:12:11because you can just take a tissue or a cloth

0:12:11 > 0:12:13and just wipe it off that section.

0:12:13 > 0:12:16What do you think of my efforts so far, Ithar?

0:12:16 > 0:12:19- Not as good as mine.- What?

0:12:19 > 0:12:20- You finished?- Yeah.

0:12:20 > 0:12:22What we need to do is let it dry

0:12:22 > 0:12:26so that we can then peel off our plastic,

0:12:26 > 0:12:27so we need to just wait.

0:12:31 > 0:12:34It's time to reveal our handiwork.

0:12:34 > 0:12:38If we take off the sticky-back plastic...hopefully...

0:12:38 > 0:12:42Yes, you see how the fabric paint hasn't gone through

0:12:42 > 0:12:47to the old shoe, so we've still got that original colour there.

0:12:47 > 0:12:49These are going to look amazing.

0:12:53 > 0:12:55It's nice, like having a new pair of shoes.

0:12:55 > 0:12:57As Ali O'Neill said -

0:12:57 > 0:12:59you can customise your trainers however you like.

0:12:59 > 0:13:01Here are a couple of other ideas.

0:13:02 > 0:13:04Why don't you use fabric pens

0:13:04 > 0:13:06to make an under-the-sea design?

0:13:07 > 0:13:11Or a jungle scene, complete with Venus flytraps?

0:13:11 > 0:13:13Let your imagination run wild

0:13:13 > 0:13:16and you'll create something amazing from your old shoes,

0:13:16 > 0:13:18just like Ithar's done.

0:13:23 > 0:13:26Here's how to make some cool skeleton shoes

0:14:29 > 0:14:32transforming British fashion.

0:14:32 > 0:14:33BELL RINGS

0:14:33 > 0:14:36Before becoming a controversial but much-loved fashion designer,

0:14:36 > 0:14:39Vivienne Westwood used to do something totally different -

0:14:39 > 0:14:41she was a teacher.

0:14:41 > 0:14:43Then she met a chap called Malcolm McLaren

0:14:43 > 0:14:44and her world changed.

0:14:45 > 0:14:48They opened a shop and Vivienne started designing

0:14:48 > 0:14:49and selling wild clothes.

0:14:51 > 0:14:55She created the punk look, which loads of pop stars wanted to wear

0:14:55 > 0:14:59and which probably influenced some of the clothes you wear today.

0:14:59 > 0:15:01She used all sorts of things

0:15:01 > 0:15:03like tartan, safety pins,

0:15:03 > 0:15:05zips and even chains from toilets.

0:15:05 > 0:15:07TOILET FLUSHES

0:15:15 > 0:15:18Over the years, Dame Vivienne, as she's now known, has notched up

0:15:18 > 0:15:20a stack of fashion awards,

0:15:20 > 0:15:22though she once failed to pick up a prize

0:15:22 > 0:15:25because she was in the loo when they were handing it out.

0:15:25 > 0:15:26Thank you!

0:15:26 > 0:15:27TOILET FLUSHES

0:15:27 > 0:15:29So, let's hear it for the

0:15:29 > 0:15:32totally-toiletry-famous Vivienne Westwood.

0:15:42 > 0:15:45Today we're making some balloon-and-rice juggling balls,

0:15:45 > 0:15:47using an old plastic water bottle,

0:15:47 > 0:15:49a piece of old cereal box,

0:15:49 > 0:15:51some out-of-date rice

0:15:51 > 0:15:53and some leftover balloons.

0:15:53 > 0:15:54First, get a funnel,

0:15:54 > 0:15:57which you can make out of an old cereal box.

0:15:57 > 0:16:00Then you get an old water bottle

0:16:00 > 0:16:04and you put the funnel into the water bottle and then you get

0:16:04 > 0:16:07the jug of rice and you pour it in.

0:16:08 > 0:16:11How come I make so much mess?

0:16:11 > 0:16:13THEY LAUGH

0:16:13 > 0:16:14It's still going!

0:16:14 > 0:16:16THEY LAUGH

0:16:16 > 0:16:18Oh, my gosh!

0:16:19 > 0:16:20Is that done?

0:16:20 > 0:16:23And then you get a balloon.

0:16:24 > 0:16:26'Blow a balloon up slightly

0:16:26 > 0:16:28'and twist the end.'

0:16:28 > 0:16:31And you put it over the top.

0:16:31 > 0:16:32Over the top.

0:16:32 > 0:16:35'This can be a bit fiddly.'

0:16:36 > 0:16:39'Tip your rice into the balloon.

0:16:43 > 0:16:45'Cut the end of the balloon off.

0:16:45 > 0:16:48'Don't worry, the rice won't come out.'

0:16:48 > 0:16:50Then you get your second balloon

0:16:50 > 0:16:52and you cut off the end...

0:16:53 > 0:16:55..and make three more little holes.

0:16:55 > 0:16:57To be honest, you can do as many as you want,

0:16:57 > 0:17:00but I'm just going to do three.

0:17:00 > 0:17:02All right?

0:17:03 > 0:17:05'Wrap that balloon around the rice balloon.'

0:17:07 > 0:17:09How are you doing, Michelle?

0:17:09 > 0:17:11Fine.

0:17:12 > 0:17:14HE SIGHS

0:17:14 > 0:17:17I think I'm done. Let's make the third ball together.

0:17:21 > 0:17:23There. Now it's finished.

0:17:23 > 0:17:24There you have it.

0:17:24 > 0:17:27- Three juggling balls. - Let's go play with them.

0:17:27 > 0:17:29HE SINGS

0:17:29 > 0:17:31These are brilliant!

0:17:31 > 0:17:33Whee!

0:17:33 > 0:17:34THEY LAUGH

0:17:34 > 0:17:36I give up!

0:17:38 > 0:17:40The best thing about these juggling balls is

0:17:40 > 0:17:42they're really fun to throw around.

0:17:42 > 0:17:44And you can make them any size.

0:17:58 > 0:17:59HORN HONKS

0:18:10 > 0:18:13'What can you make from a bin bag full of rubbish?

0:18:13 > 0:18:16'Just have a look at this.'

0:18:16 > 0:18:18Oh, what have you got here?

0:18:19 > 0:18:22- Any ideas?- No idea whatsoever.

0:18:22 > 0:18:25Well, I'm going to show you how to make a cool creature in which

0:18:25 > 0:18:27you can stash your cash.

0:18:27 > 0:18:29You'll need a large empty egg box...

0:18:30 > 0:18:32..some stiff cardboard,

0:18:32 > 0:18:34some old newspaper,

0:18:34 > 0:18:37a clean empty plastic bottle,

0:18:37 > 0:18:38scissors,

0:18:38 > 0:18:39PVA glue

0:18:39 > 0:18:42and paint - any colour you like.

0:18:42 > 0:18:45And you'll need lots of tape to stick it all together.

0:18:45 > 0:18:47I am going to create

0:18:47 > 0:18:49a crazy creature money box.

0:18:49 > 0:18:50Check this out.

0:18:50 > 0:18:52A crazy creature money box?

0:18:52 > 0:18:55- Have a look at this one. Look, its mouth opens.- Oh!

0:18:55 > 0:18:57- You put your money in the back, there.- That is so cool.

0:18:57 > 0:18:59- It's cool, isn't it?- Grrr, grrr.

0:18:59 > 0:19:02- First things first, egg box, obviously for the mouth.- Yep.

0:19:02 > 0:19:05Bottle for the body, stick them together.

0:19:05 > 0:19:06So a bit of tape...

0:19:06 > 0:19:08OK, a bit of tape.

0:19:08 > 0:19:09..to attach the two.

0:19:09 > 0:19:10Just stick it on.

0:19:10 > 0:19:12Stick it on, simple.

0:19:12 > 0:19:13No messing around.

0:19:13 > 0:19:15No messing around with this one,

0:19:15 > 0:19:16just sticking it on.

0:19:16 > 0:19:18Once you've got the basic frame

0:19:18 > 0:19:20for your crazy creature body,

0:19:20 > 0:19:21you draw some extra features

0:19:21 > 0:19:23onto a bit of old cardboard.

0:19:23 > 0:19:25So you need some fins, you need a tail,

0:19:25 > 0:19:26you need some crazy fangs,

0:19:26 > 0:19:28- all things like that.- Ooh.

0:19:28 > 0:19:30So I'm just going to draw these

0:19:30 > 0:19:31on an old bit of cardboard.

0:19:31 > 0:19:33You can be as creative as you want, I suppose, at this section.

0:19:33 > 0:19:36That's it, it's using your imagination, isn't it, you know?

0:19:36 > 0:19:38You can start cutting it if you like,

0:19:38 > 0:19:39but I have already done it, so there we go.

0:19:39 > 0:19:42So I've got my cut-out pieces

0:19:42 > 0:19:44and what we're going to do is stick

0:19:44 > 0:19:45these on again with some tape.

0:19:45 > 0:19:47So you've got your fin there,

0:19:47 > 0:19:50your other fins on the side...

0:19:50 > 0:19:52- All right.- ..your fangs at the front

0:19:52 > 0:19:53and tail on the back.

0:19:53 > 0:19:55So I'll start sticking these on.

0:19:58 > 0:19:59Good point to note is you need

0:19:59 > 0:20:01to make sure at this point that

0:20:01 > 0:20:02you take the top off the bottle,

0:20:02 > 0:20:04cos obviously you're going to put your money in.

0:20:04 > 0:20:05So you need to keep this separate,

0:20:05 > 0:20:07but what's going to go on top of that bottle with

0:20:07 > 0:20:11another bit of tape is your tail.

0:20:11 > 0:20:14- OK.- Stick that on like that.

0:20:14 > 0:20:16Beautiful.

0:20:16 > 0:20:19- OK, for the eyes, the big googly eyes like on this one...- Yeah?

0:20:19 > 0:20:20..you're just going to get

0:20:20 > 0:20:22some old newspaper or old tissue,

0:20:22 > 0:20:24whatever, scrunch it up into a ball

0:20:24 > 0:20:26and then to keep it nice and secure,

0:20:26 > 0:20:28just put loads and loads of masking tape around it.

0:20:28 > 0:20:31- Stick these eyes onto the body.- OK.

0:20:31 > 0:20:32Again, with a bit of tape.

0:20:32 > 0:20:34Where are you sticking them? Here?

0:20:34 > 0:20:35That's it, exactly right.

0:20:35 > 0:20:38Put a bit of tape under there,

0:20:38 > 0:20:39position it on.

0:20:41 > 0:20:43Stick that on there.

0:20:43 > 0:20:44Bit more tape, just to

0:20:44 > 0:20:46make sure they stay secure.

0:20:48 > 0:20:52So once your eyes are stuck down, you need to cover the whole thing

0:20:52 > 0:20:54- in cut-up bits of newspaper and some PVA glue.- OK.

0:20:54 > 0:20:57So I've got some strips here

0:20:57 > 0:20:58and if you just want to start

0:20:58 > 0:21:01- sloshing the glue on. - OK, no problem,

0:21:01 > 0:21:02get some glue on there.

0:21:02 > 0:21:04It's going to be covered everywhere from

0:21:04 > 0:21:06the mouth, the egg box, the eyes,

0:21:06 > 0:21:07the fins, everything.

0:21:07 > 0:21:09- So then on goes the paper?- That's it,

0:21:09 > 0:21:11exactly right.

0:21:11 > 0:21:12So, once you've completely covered

0:21:12 > 0:21:14your creature in the newspaper

0:21:14 > 0:21:16and glue, you're going to leave it to dry

0:21:16 > 0:21:18and then, when it is dry, it's going to look something

0:21:18 > 0:21:21- like this. Which I think looks pretty cool already.- Wow!

0:21:21 > 0:21:22It's wicked, isn't it?

0:21:22 > 0:21:24- I could have that in my room. - Know what I mean?

0:21:24 > 0:21:26Teamwork.

0:21:26 > 0:21:28This is it, it's what it's about.

0:21:28 > 0:21:30You're just going to completely

0:21:30 > 0:21:31cover it in your colours

0:21:31 > 0:21:33and you can use any colours.

0:21:33 > 0:21:35It's just about getting creative.

0:21:35 > 0:21:36This is wicked.

0:21:37 > 0:21:40And once you've finished painting it

0:21:40 > 0:21:42and decorating it however you want,

0:21:42 > 0:21:46you might have something that looks a bit like this.

0:21:46 > 0:21:50And check this out, you can just twist off the tail.

0:21:50 > 0:21:51And you put your money in it.

0:21:52 > 0:21:55Put your tail back on and there you've got your

0:21:55 > 0:21:57crazy creature money box and you can

0:21:57 > 0:21:59literally try it with anything.

0:21:59 > 0:22:02We've got loads of different shaped bottles and different colours.

0:22:02 > 0:22:04- We've gone from yellow...- Wow.

0:22:04 > 0:22:07..we've got bright blue, purple, pink.

0:22:07 > 0:22:08So you've got to give it a go.

0:22:08 > 0:22:11Try out your own Crazy Creature Money Box.

0:22:11 > 0:22:12Roar!

0:22:19 > 0:22:21Yum, yum, yum, yum.

0:22:21 > 0:22:22HE BURPS

0:22:22 > 0:22:26- Bloomin' handy things, these egg boxes, Vin.- Yeah.

0:22:26 > 0:22:28Did you know that the cardboard ones are made from

0:22:28 > 0:22:31100% recycled paper pulp?

0:22:31 > 0:22:32That's good, ain't it?

0:22:32 > 0:22:36Yeah. Just a shame eggs hate jokes, really, isn't it?

0:22:36 > 0:22:38What? Why?

0:22:38 > 0:22:40Because they're always cracking up!

0:22:40 > 0:22:42THEY LAUGH

0:22:44 > 0:22:46That was a terrible yolk.

0:22:46 > 0:22:49Really? I thought it was smashing.

0:22:49 > 0:22:52Well, at least you're coming out of your shell.

0:22:52 > 0:22:55THEY LAUGH

0:23:03 > 0:23:06So what are we doing up at this hour, Michelle?

0:23:06 > 0:23:08Oh, you read my mind - breakfast!

0:23:08 > 0:23:11Ey, ey, ey. We've got a bit of work to do first.

0:23:11 > 0:23:15- Really?- Come on.- Here we go.

0:23:16 > 0:23:17Hey, Tony.

0:23:17 > 0:23:18Oh, hi, Michelle.

0:23:18 > 0:23:21- Now you've got something that we need.- Breakfast.

0:23:21 > 0:23:24Yep, well, it involves food, but not just yet. Come with us.

0:23:24 > 0:23:25Tony, will you lead the way?

0:23:25 > 0:23:27Yep. Come, Michelle. Follow me, please.

0:23:29 > 0:23:32Whoa, check it out, you've got loads of tin cans here.

0:23:32 > 0:23:35- How many of these do you get through, Tony?- Hundreds a week.

0:23:35 > 0:23:37Do you mind if we take some off your hands?

0:23:37 > 0:23:38Yeah, not a problem.

0:23:38 > 0:23:41Cos I've got an idea that is out of this world.

0:23:41 > 0:23:44Really? While we're doing that, I know it's a little bit cheeky,

0:23:44 > 0:23:46Tony, but do you reckon you could rustle us up some brekky?

0:23:46 > 0:23:48- Yeah, sure, no problem.- Wicked.

0:23:48 > 0:23:50MICHELLE LAUGHS

0:23:50 > 0:23:52You're staying here, you need to help me lift and shift these.

0:23:52 > 0:23:56- Really? Where are we going?- In there. - Now?- Yeah, let's get on with it.

0:24:01 > 0:24:05So, what do you call this piece, then?

0:24:05 > 0:24:07We haven't even started yet, mate.

0:24:07 > 0:24:08What?

0:24:09 > 0:24:11OK, first of all, we need a piece

0:24:11 > 0:24:13of card to protect the floor and

0:24:13 > 0:24:16then we're going to do a circular layer of cans with the small ones.

0:24:16 > 0:24:17OK, cool.

0:24:21 > 0:24:22Are you sure we're using enough?

0:24:22 > 0:24:24We've got a lot of cans to get through.

0:24:24 > 0:24:26Look at the size of this pile!

0:24:26 > 0:24:28We're using enough space for this section, but believe me,

0:24:28 > 0:24:29it's going to get bigger.

0:24:33 > 0:24:35The silver ones at the front.

0:24:36 > 0:24:37- Is that good?- Good.

0:24:39 > 0:24:42Are you going to give me any idea of what this is meant to be?

0:24:42 > 0:24:45Not yet, mate. You just keep piling on these tins.

0:24:45 > 0:24:47All will be revealed in good time.

0:24:52 > 0:24:56Now we need to build up the middle section with the bigger cans.

0:25:02 > 0:25:05Mixing up the colours to create a really cool pattern.

0:25:10 > 0:25:13So Michelle, this isn't exactly recycling, is it,

0:25:13 > 0:25:15cos Tony hasn't used these cans yet?

0:25:15 > 0:25:17I know, but I only thought of it a few days ago.

0:25:17 > 0:25:20We did need loads of cans and that's why I thought of Tony

0:25:20 > 0:25:22and to be fair, we can always rebuild this with the empty cans,

0:25:22 > 0:25:25- cos they're going to get used at some point.- True.

0:25:27 > 0:25:29Cool. Right, let's get on with the next level.

0:25:29 > 0:25:31Yes, boss.

0:25:36 > 0:25:38I think I know what we're building.

0:25:40 > 0:25:42It's getting so big, I can't see over the top.

0:25:42 > 0:25:45- I know. It's coming together. - It really is.

0:25:45 > 0:25:47I tell you what, this is good exercise for your arms.

0:25:47 > 0:25:49'Guessed what it is yet?

0:25:49 > 0:25:52'Perhaps these will give you a clue.'

0:25:52 > 0:25:55Red and yellow, perfect for flames.

0:25:55 > 0:25:56It's a real cool effect that you get

0:25:56 > 0:25:58from using these leftover napkins, isn't it?

0:25:58 > 0:26:00Yeah, it really works.

0:26:01 > 0:26:04So is that it? Have we reached a peak?

0:26:04 > 0:26:07No, I think we need a few more to build it up at the top.

0:26:07 > 0:26:08- Really?- Yeah.

0:26:08 > 0:26:10We're going to need a ladder for this one, aren't we?

0:26:14 > 0:26:15And there we go.

0:26:17 > 0:26:19'We used nearly 2,000 tins of beans,

0:26:19 > 0:26:22'tomatoes and spaghetti to make this space rocket.'

0:26:27 > 0:26:29That's beautiful.

0:26:32 > 0:26:34Here you go, guys, there's your breakfast.

0:26:34 > 0:26:36- Oh, cheers.- Thank you.

0:26:36 > 0:26:38Hey, and Tony, when you've used all these cans,
