0:00:02 > 0:00:03'I'm Nigel...'

0:00:05 > 0:00:06'I'm Michelle...'

0:00:08 > 0:00:11'We're going to show you how to turn useless rubbish...'

0:00:11 > 0:00:13What are you going to do with this lot?

0:00:13 > 0:00:15'..into amazing useful stuff...'

0:00:15 > 0:00:16So cool!

0:00:16 > 0:00:18'..all here on...'

0:00:22 > 0:00:25'Coming up, we meet an artist who makes incredible art

0:00:25 > 0:00:27'from thrown-away books.'

0:00:27 > 0:00:29'We visit someone who wants to do something different

0:00:29 > 0:00:31'with her phone directories...

0:00:31 > 0:00:34'and we show you how to make a monster doorstop,

0:00:34 > 0:00:36'all from stuff you throw away.'

0:00:37 > 0:00:39'But first...'

0:00:40 > 0:00:41BOTH: Fake poo!

0:00:43 > 0:00:46'There's me, planting our poo.

0:00:46 > 0:00:47'Even the dog thinks it's real.'

0:00:47 > 0:00:48Did that just do that?!

0:00:50 > 0:00:53HE LAUGHS

0:00:53 > 0:00:55Watch your step here, there's just a bit of...

0:00:55 > 0:00:57In fact, it's all right. I'll move it for you.

0:00:57 > 0:01:00- THEY LAUGH - It's fake poo!- That's so silly!

0:01:02 > 0:01:03'Here we go again...'

0:01:05 > 0:01:06'Leave this to me, Nige.'

0:01:06 > 0:01:09- You all right?- Yeah.

0:01:09 > 0:01:12- It smells a bit funny around here, doesn't it?- Yeah.

0:01:12 > 0:01:14Have you...? Have you seen that?!

0:01:14 > 0:01:17Look, it's a massive poo!

0:01:17 > 0:01:20- Should I get rid of it?- Yeah.

0:01:20 > 0:01:22THEY LAUGH

0:01:23 > 0:01:26It's not real, it's a fake!

0:01:28 > 0:01:30- That was so funny! - That was really good.

0:01:30 > 0:01:32I didn't think we'd get those reactions.

0:01:32 > 0:01:34I know! We did well there. High five, mate.

0:01:34 > 0:01:35Right, I'm going to show you how to make it.

0:01:35 > 0:01:38'Yep, I'm going to show you how to prank your mates

0:01:38 > 0:01:40'out of stuff you have lying around.'

0:01:40 > 0:01:42Right, fake poo. Really, really simple.

0:01:42 > 0:01:45First of all, you need to grab some old tin foil, make sure it's clean,

0:01:45 > 0:01:48and you're just going to roll it into a tube shape,

0:01:48 > 0:01:50almost like you're rolling a sausage,

0:01:50 > 0:01:52and then you're going to start to twist it.

0:01:52 > 0:01:55Twist it into a delicately shaped poo...

0:01:58 > 0:02:01Next, you need to build up the texture,

0:02:01 > 0:02:04so I've got some tissue here. I've just ripped it into pieces...

0:02:04 > 0:02:05And if you haven't got any tissue paper,

0:02:05 > 0:02:07you could always use old party hats.

0:02:07 > 0:02:10And you're just going to start pasting it down onto the tin foil

0:02:10 > 0:02:12with some PVA glue...

0:02:17 > 0:02:21'Keep sticking on the tissue until the whole shape is covered.'

0:02:21 > 0:02:25Once you've covered the whole of the shape,

0:02:25 > 0:02:28you're then going to leave it to dry overnight,

0:02:28 > 0:02:31and it'll look something like this.

0:02:31 > 0:02:33See, rock hard.

0:02:33 > 0:02:35Next thing you need to do is build up the colour for your poo,

0:02:35 > 0:02:38so I've got brown and yellow paint.

0:02:38 > 0:02:40I'm going to mix them together

0:02:40 > 0:02:44to create a really nice gooey, gory colour.

0:02:47 > 0:02:50And then once you've got the colour you desire,

0:02:50 > 0:02:54you're then going to paint it onto your dried sausage, OK?

0:02:54 > 0:02:58You don't want any white bits. It's got to be completely covered.

0:03:01 > 0:03:06If you just get little spots of the yellow, just dab them around,

0:03:06 > 0:03:09and it really just helps to make it look a bit more realistic.

0:03:09 > 0:03:12All you need to do now is leave it to dry overnight

0:03:12 > 0:03:16and then, of course, you'll be left with your dried brown poo.

0:03:16 > 0:03:18And the last final thing

0:03:18 > 0:03:21that really helps to give it that edge over any other poo,

0:03:21 > 0:03:24is to put some PVA glue on it.

0:03:24 > 0:03:26Now, that actually dries clear,

0:03:26 > 0:03:29so it just gives it that kind of shiny coating,

0:03:29 > 0:03:33and then you have your own fake poo to prank your mates.

0:04:09 > 0:04:11Incredibly, in Britain, the average family

0:04:11 > 0:04:15throws away six trees' worth of paper every year.

0:04:15 > 0:04:17Now, I'm here to see someone

0:04:17 > 0:04:20who needs a little help with their piles of paper.

0:04:24 > 0:04:27'Meet Ella. She loves football and supports Watford,

0:04:27 > 0:04:29'whose team colour is yellow.

0:04:29 > 0:04:31'She collects old phone books

0:04:31 > 0:04:34'and uses the yellow sections as confetti at matches...'

0:04:36 > 0:04:37'But she's drowning in directories

0:04:37 > 0:04:41'and wants a plan for the rest of her paper.'

0:04:41 > 0:04:44I have these out-of-date phone books,

0:04:44 > 0:04:45but I don't know what to do with them.

0:04:45 > 0:04:49I know someone who could inspire us. Have a look at this.

0:04:59 > 0:05:00I'm Su Blackwell.

0:05:00 > 0:05:03I'm an artist working predominantly with old books,

0:05:03 > 0:05:06and I make what I call book sculptures.

0:05:06 > 0:05:08I'm inspired by fairy tales and folk tales.

0:05:15 > 0:05:18It's really important to plan out your design before you start.

0:05:20 > 0:05:23I'm going to set out a woodland scene and a log cabin.

0:05:23 > 0:05:26So I look online at images of log cabins

0:05:26 > 0:05:28and then I start doing a sketch.

0:05:30 > 0:05:32So now I've finished my sketch,

0:05:32 > 0:05:36I'm going to take pages from an old book.

0:05:36 > 0:05:39First of all, I'll work out the size of the cabin,

0:05:39 > 0:05:42and this is in proportion to the book page.

0:05:42 > 0:05:45And how I start is to make the individual logs

0:05:45 > 0:05:46that make up the cabin.

0:05:47 > 0:05:50I'm using a brass rod here,

0:05:50 > 0:05:53but you can use a pencil or a pen to roll these cylinders.

0:05:54 > 0:05:56There'll be about 30 in total.

0:06:03 > 0:06:06Use the glue sparingly so you don't ruin the paper.

0:06:08 > 0:06:11For the chimney pots, I'll be using the same technique,

0:06:11 > 0:06:14but using a smaller piece of dowel to make thinner rolls.

0:06:17 > 0:06:19Now I've made the stockpile of logs,

0:06:19 > 0:06:21I'm going to be doing a detailed sketch

0:06:21 > 0:06:24so I can work out how long I need to cut down the logs.

0:06:27 > 0:06:31I'm going to start gluing them together to make the four sides.

0:06:47 > 0:06:49And then, as you work towards the roof,

0:06:49 > 0:06:52you cut down the logs according to your sketch.

0:07:04 > 0:07:09So now I've got the overall structure of the log cabin,

0:07:09 > 0:07:12I'm going to include the details of the windows and the doors.

0:07:29 > 0:07:31So now I've finished the roof,

0:07:31 > 0:07:33the next thing I need to do is make the chimney.

0:07:39 > 0:07:42The last thing is to stick the roof and the chimney onto the log cabin.

0:08:13 > 0:08:16'I love how Su transformed those old books

0:08:16 > 0:08:20'into something so magical and with so much detail.

0:08:20 > 0:08:22'And Su's work is the perfect inspiration

0:08:22 > 0:08:24'for how we can help Ella.'

0:08:25 > 0:08:27We're going to make a 3-D picture

0:08:27 > 0:08:30on one of your old telephone directories.

0:08:30 > 0:08:33I have read a book about adventures in a jungle,

0:08:33 > 0:08:35so maybe we could do something linked to that?

0:08:35 > 0:08:37OK, jungle sounds cool.

0:08:37 > 0:08:42Su Blackwell's first tip was to make sure you plan your design well,

0:08:42 > 0:08:44and that's what we're going to do right now.

0:08:47 > 0:08:49Just want to get a basic shape, really...

0:08:55 > 0:08:58- Maybe some trees? - Trees are a good idea.

0:09:06 > 0:09:08That is the scene we're going to make.

0:09:11 > 0:09:13That is so cool.

0:09:13 > 0:09:16What we need to do is make all the different components,

0:09:16 > 0:09:17so that we can put them there,

0:09:17 > 0:09:20and I think the most important one is the elephant,

0:09:20 > 0:09:21so let's do that one first.

0:09:21 > 0:09:25Now, for this, I'm using an old piece of card.

0:09:25 > 0:09:26Now, on one side of it,

0:09:26 > 0:09:30you want to stick one of the pages from your old directory,

0:09:30 > 0:09:34and then, on the other side, draw your elephant.

0:09:37 > 0:09:42That is going to be our tab to stick our elephant onto our scene.

0:09:45 > 0:09:46There you go.

0:09:51 > 0:09:52Just cut round there.

0:09:54 > 0:09:56It's harder than it looks.

0:09:59 > 0:10:01- Yay!- Nicely done.

0:10:01 > 0:10:03I think that looks really good.

0:10:03 > 0:10:07- Remember I left these extra little bits at the bottom of the feet?- Yeah.

0:10:07 > 0:10:12Fold those first along that line, and then use those tabs

0:10:12 > 0:10:16to stick our elephant on to our scene.

0:10:16 > 0:10:18Lovely.

0:10:18 > 0:10:19Down it goes.

0:10:21 > 0:10:24- Let's do some trees.- Trees, OK.

0:10:24 > 0:10:29Take a pencil and wrap the pencil in your old sheet from the directory.

0:10:29 > 0:10:31- You all right there?- Yeah.

0:10:31 > 0:10:33- You haven't lost your pencil? - No, I've got it.

0:10:33 > 0:10:35HE LAUGHS OK, so...

0:10:35 > 0:10:40- roll the sheet of directory around the pencil just like this.- OK.

0:10:41 > 0:10:46Su Blackwell said that is a top tip for getting a good cylinder shape.

0:10:49 > 0:10:51Yeah, just stick it down there.

0:10:51 > 0:10:53Boom. Two tree trunks.

0:10:53 > 0:10:55All right?

0:10:55 > 0:10:58Now, we need to make the leaves that come out of the top.

0:10:58 > 0:11:02Grab another two bits from our directory,

0:11:02 > 0:11:06fold your paper in half like that,

0:11:06 > 0:11:09cut our leaves into this.

0:11:09 > 0:11:13- Now, there are two ways to do this. You do one and I'll do the other.- OK.

0:11:13 > 0:11:18I'm going to cut the open side. I want you to cut the closed side.

0:11:18 > 0:11:21'Cut down, but not all the way to the end,

0:11:21 > 0:11:24'leaving about a centimetre between the leaves.'

0:11:24 > 0:11:28How did you come to have all these old phone directories knocking about?

0:11:28 > 0:11:32Well, I support Watford and, obviously, their colour is yellow,

0:11:32 > 0:11:35- so in this book there are pieces of paper that are yellow.- OK.

0:11:35 > 0:11:38- So, when a big match comes, we cut all of them up...- Yeah?

0:11:38 > 0:11:41- ..and we use it as confetti.- Oh!

0:11:41 > 0:11:45But the thing is, we haven't had a big match in a while,

0:11:45 > 0:11:47so that's why they're kind of stocking up.

0:11:47 > 0:11:50- Ah, waiting for the big match?- Yeah.

0:11:52 > 0:11:53I'm done.

0:11:54 > 0:11:55The next thing,

0:11:55 > 0:11:58roll along the edge that you haven't quite cut to the end of.

0:12:04 > 0:12:06Once you've done that, fan out our leaves

0:12:06 > 0:12:08to make sure our tree looks really good.

0:12:08 > 0:12:11'As you can see, mine is a little different to Ella's.'

0:12:11 > 0:12:15There we go. Let's wrap a tiny bit of tape around the bottom,

0:12:15 > 0:12:17to make sure that it sticks.

0:12:23 > 0:12:27Slot the top of the tree inside the trunk.

0:12:29 > 0:12:34Next, cut some tabs into the bottom here, yeah?

0:12:34 > 0:12:36Yeah.

0:12:36 > 0:12:38Tabs in the bottom...

0:12:39 > 0:12:41Splay them out a little bit.

0:12:43 > 0:12:45Stick these tabs down.

0:12:49 > 0:12:52Tree number one, in. Now, let's get yours stuck in as well.

0:12:55 > 0:12:57OK, it's starting to take shape, isn't it?

0:13:13 > 0:13:16So, there you go, Ella, your very own jungle scene,

0:13:16 > 0:13:19and it's all made out of old telephone directories.

0:13:19 > 0:13:21Wow, that's fantastic! Thank you.

0:13:26 > 0:13:28'There's no need to go cutting up perfectly good books

0:13:28 > 0:13:30'to make something like this,

0:13:30 > 0:13:32'that's why out-of-date phone directories

0:13:32 > 0:13:34'are perfect for a pop-up picture.'

0:13:39 > 0:13:43'To make an amazing scene from an old phone book, here's what you do.'

0:13:44 > 0:13:46'Stage one - plan your design.'

0:13:49 > 0:13:53'Stage two - glue a page from your phone book to some old card.'

0:13:54 > 0:13:58'Stage three - draw the things you want to include in your scene

0:13:58 > 0:14:00'on the card and then cut them out.'

0:14:02 > 0:14:04'Stage four - to make trees,

0:14:04 > 0:14:08'roll the old paper around a pencil for the trunk.

0:14:08 > 0:14:09'Then, for the leaves,

0:14:09 > 0:14:13'fold a piece of paper lengthways and snip towards the fold.

0:14:13 > 0:14:15'Attach these to the top of the tree trunk.'

0:14:17 > 0:14:22'Stage five - cut out shrubs and flowers to add detail to your scene.'

0:14:25 > 0:14:28'Stage six - assemble your pop-up picture,

0:14:28 > 0:14:30'perfect for your room or as a great gift.'

0:14:36 > 0:14:38'Still to come,

0:14:38 > 0:14:41'we get to work building an amazing shadow scene from rubbish...'

0:14:42 > 0:14:44'..and we show you how to make these great badges

0:14:44 > 0:14:46'out of old crisp packets.

0:14:46 > 0:14:48'But first, Totally Famous.'

0:14:49 > 0:14:52'Introducing Banksy,

0:14:52 > 0:14:55'totally famous for being street art's man of mystery.'

0:14:57 > 0:15:00'Urban artist Banksy has achieved international fame,

0:15:00 > 0:15:02'despite the fact that no-one knows who he is...'

0:15:04 > 0:15:06WHISPERS: '..apart from his mum,

0:15:06 > 0:15:08'who says his real name is Robert Banks.

0:15:08 > 0:15:10'But what does she know? SHE SCREAMS

0:15:10 > 0:15:13'For years, she thought he was just a painter/decorator,

0:15:13 > 0:15:16'and you can't blame Banksy for keeping his identity secret,

0:15:16 > 0:15:19'as some of the street art he creates is illegal.

0:15:19 > 0:15:22'Despite this, he's become famous for revamping public spaces

0:15:22 > 0:15:25'with funny images of rats, apes...

0:15:25 > 0:15:27'and even maids.'

0:15:27 > 0:15:30'His work also looks at what's going on in the world,

0:15:30 > 0:15:34'including everything from war to love - aww.

0:15:34 > 0:15:36'This is one of his most famous designs,

0:15:36 > 0:15:39'which appears on masses of merchandise,

0:15:39 > 0:15:41'despite no-one knowing who he is.'

0:15:46 > 0:15:49'And the buildings he paints on are worth big bucks.

0:15:49 > 0:15:52'He only had to do the robot on this hotel in Torquay,

0:15:52 > 0:15:56'and its value shot up by a massive 150 grand.

0:15:56 > 0:16:00'Banksy also makes films and exhibits paintings.'

0:16:01 > 0:16:05'So keep your eyes peeled for the hugely famous but seldom seen

0:16:05 > 0:16:07'cheeky monkey of the art world, Banksy...'

0:16:09 > 0:16:11'..whoever he is.'

0:16:20 > 0:16:23Today, we're going to make crisp packet badges...

0:16:23 > 0:16:26'..using old, clean crisp packets,

0:16:26 > 0:16:30'baking paper and some old safety pins.

0:16:30 > 0:16:32'The first thing you need to do is...

0:16:32 > 0:16:35'..heat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.

0:16:35 > 0:16:38'Be sure to ask a grown-up before using the oven.'

0:16:38 > 0:16:39Get your crisp packet...

0:16:41 > 0:16:44..and you just need to clean out the insides.

0:16:46 > 0:16:47Right.

0:16:49 > 0:16:54We get a baking tray and we put some baking paper over it...

0:16:55 > 0:16:59..then we put our crisp packets on the baking paper.

0:16:59 > 0:17:00Make sure they're flat.

0:17:00 > 0:17:04Then put another piece of baking paper over,

0:17:04 > 0:17:07so it's like a sandwich, and then put it in the oven.

0:17:09 > 0:17:12'You might want a grown-up to help you with this.

0:17:12 > 0:17:14'Leave them in the oven for a minute.'

0:17:17 > 0:17:19'After a minute, check how small they are.

0:17:19 > 0:17:23'If they're not quite shrunk, leave for another 30 seconds.

0:17:23 > 0:17:25'Leave them to cool.

0:17:25 > 0:17:27What's your favourite crisp flavour, Michelle?

0:17:27 > 0:17:29Ready salted. What's yours?

0:17:29 > 0:17:31Prawn cocktail.

0:17:31 > 0:17:32Mmm.

0:17:32 > 0:17:36Now they've cooled down, let's have a look at them.

0:17:36 > 0:17:39- Whoa, look how they've shrunk! - They're tiny.

0:17:39 > 0:17:42They've all got tiny writing on the back now.

0:17:42 > 0:17:45Let's add the safety pins.

0:17:45 > 0:17:49What you need to do is take a safety pin and get some sticky tape,

0:17:49 > 0:17:52and what I'm going to do is, I'm going to get my crisp packet...

0:17:52 > 0:17:57We'll just say I'm going to stick it on its side like this.

0:17:57 > 0:18:01Be careful doing this. Make sure not to prick yourself.

0:18:01 > 0:18:02Now you just put them on.

0:18:04 > 0:18:08Done! And there you have it, you can make badges.

0:19:04 > 0:19:07'What can you make from a bin bag full of rubbish?

0:19:07 > 0:19:09'Just have a look at this.'

0:19:13 > 0:19:16What on Earth?

0:19:16 > 0:19:18- Old socks...- Yeah.

0:19:18 > 0:19:20..an old towel,

0:19:20 > 0:19:22some stones, bottle tops...

0:19:22 > 0:19:24What are you going to make with this lot?

0:19:24 > 0:19:27- I- am going to make a monster to guard your room.

0:19:27 > 0:19:30- Really?- Mmm-hmm.

0:19:30 > 0:19:35'You'll need a large piece of plain paper, an old towel,

0:19:35 > 0:19:38'some old socks, bottle tops,

0:19:38 > 0:19:42'stones, scissors,

0:19:42 > 0:19:46'pins, some leftover fabric

0:19:46 > 0:19:47'and a needle and thread.'

0:19:49 > 0:19:52I'm going to show you how to make your very own monster doorstop.

0:19:52 > 0:19:55- Ooh!- Check this bad boy out. Have a look at him.

0:19:55 > 0:19:57- Oh, that is cool.- Cool, isn't it? - Yeah, wicked.

0:19:57 > 0:19:59Right, it's really simple.

0:19:59 > 0:20:02- First, you need to start with a large piece of paper.- Yeah.

0:20:02 > 0:20:07You fold it in half and then draw half of your monster shape on it,

0:20:07 > 0:20:09cos you've folded the paper in half,

0:20:09 > 0:20:11- so you only need to draw half of your monster.- Makes sense.

0:20:11 > 0:20:13And you can draw any type of monster you like.

0:20:13 > 0:20:17I'm going to go for one with nice big ears, like this guy here.

0:20:19 > 0:20:22The great thing is, because you're drawing your own monster,

0:20:22 > 0:20:24every single one would be different,

0:20:24 > 0:20:27so no-one's going to have one like yours.

0:20:27 > 0:20:29And his spiky hands...

0:20:30 > 0:20:33- ..down to his legs. Done.- OK.

0:20:33 > 0:20:36- Then all you need to do is cut it out, obviously.- Mmm-hmm.

0:20:36 > 0:20:41Because it's folded in half, it just makes it a lot quicker.

0:20:41 > 0:20:44- Cutting's going to be half the time. - That's it, saving time all the time.

0:20:44 > 0:20:47Yeah, cut around the body, down to the legs...

0:20:47 > 0:20:49OK.

0:20:49 > 0:20:51Half a monster...

0:20:51 > 0:20:52..to a full monster.

0:20:52 > 0:20:55- Nice!- There we go, and that is your template.

0:20:55 > 0:20:57So, you've got your template sorted,

0:20:57 > 0:20:59and now, the old towels that we saw before,

0:20:59 > 0:21:02you're going to grab one of them and fold it in half,

0:21:02 > 0:21:04so it's nice and even on either side,

0:21:04 > 0:21:07and you're going to place your template on it

0:21:07 > 0:21:09- and then just fix it down with some pins.- OK.

0:21:09 > 0:21:13Then all you're going to do is start cutting around it, OK?

0:21:13 > 0:21:15Just follow your template all the way around.

0:21:15 > 0:21:18That's why these pins are really important,

0:21:18 > 0:21:21- because it just keeps it secure... - Keeps it in place.- Exactly.

0:21:21 > 0:21:22And then we've folded it in half,

0:21:22 > 0:21:25so that you can make the front and back at the same time.

0:21:25 > 0:21:28And after you've cut it, it'll look like this one.

0:21:28 > 0:21:30- Oh, great!- You see?

0:21:30 > 0:21:34- And then all you need to do is take these pins out...- Yeah?

0:21:34 > 0:21:36So, you can take your template off,

0:21:36 > 0:21:38but then make sure you put your pins back in,

0:21:38 > 0:21:43cos you still need to keep these two bits of material together.

0:21:45 > 0:21:48Next up, you need a needle and thread, cos you're going to sew it.

0:21:48 > 0:21:51So, you're going to sew all the way around your monster.

0:21:51 > 0:21:54You just need to make sure that you leave a gap at the top,

0:21:54 > 0:21:56cos this is where you're going to put all of your stuff in

0:21:56 > 0:21:57for the doorstop later.

0:21:57 > 0:22:00So, sew all the way around, apart from the top bit.

0:22:00 > 0:22:02How close to the edge do you want me to sew?

0:22:02 > 0:22:04Just a couple of centimetres in.

0:22:04 > 0:22:06- OK, so about there? - Yeah, that's perfect.

0:22:06 > 0:22:08- That's it, you're a natural! - All right.

0:22:12 > 0:22:16So, once you've sewn all the way round, it'll look like this...

0:22:16 > 0:22:17Very nice and neat.

0:22:17 > 0:22:22- And then, what you're going to do is start turning it inside out.- OK.

0:22:22 > 0:22:24- You can have a go at that.- Yeah.

0:22:26 > 0:22:29And another top tip, if you're having a bit of trouble,

0:22:29 > 0:22:30grab an old pen...

0:22:30 > 0:22:32For the ears and the feet,

0:22:32 > 0:22:34you can use the pen to push it through.

0:22:34 > 0:22:36Oh, that's a good idea, because I can't reach in.

0:22:36 > 0:22:39That's it. It's just the tiny little fiddly bits.

0:22:41 > 0:22:44Once it's all pushed through, it'll look like this.

0:22:44 > 0:22:46- Nice and neat.- Beautiful.

0:22:46 > 0:22:49So, old socks. We saw those before, didn't we?

0:22:49 > 0:22:52This is where you use them. So, we've got our pebbles,

0:22:52 > 0:22:57and what we do is literally put them into any old socks that you've got.

0:22:57 > 0:23:00Pebbles, with your sock, into your monster.

0:23:00 > 0:23:03- Oh, right! We've provided some extra weight?- That's it.

0:23:03 > 0:23:06It's just weighting it down and you just keep shoving them in...

0:23:06 > 0:23:08Let's get some pebbles in the socks, then.

0:23:08 > 0:23:10That's it. Let's do it.

0:23:15 > 0:23:18'Make sure you push your socks into the arms and legs.'

0:23:18 > 0:23:20- And then once you've done all of that...- Yeah?

0:23:20 > 0:23:22..you sew up the top of the head.

0:23:22 > 0:23:25That's it! You'll be left with something that looks like this.

0:23:25 > 0:23:26That is awesome.

0:23:26 > 0:23:28Now, I've added on a few more details here.

0:23:28 > 0:23:31For the eyes, I've just got a couple of bottle tops

0:23:31 > 0:23:35and then I've just got a bit of marker pen to add the pupils.

0:23:35 > 0:23:37And, again, for the mouth and the eyebrows

0:23:37 > 0:23:40it's just again some old material, any old material that you've got,

0:23:40 > 0:23:42just to stick it on to jazz it up.

0:23:42 > 0:23:44- There you go.- All the little bits you want to add.

0:23:44 > 0:23:47That is a cool monster. Now, what else could you make?

0:23:47 > 0:23:49Well, you could try something a bit bigger...

0:23:49 > 0:23:51A cushion with, again, just some old material,

0:23:51 > 0:23:54anything that you've got lying around,

0:23:54 > 0:23:57or why not try a cuddly toy...

0:23:57 > 0:24:01or even a little monster that you could hang on your bag?

0:24:02 > 0:24:05So, yeah, why not give it a go? Make a monster.

0:24:11 > 0:24:13HE EATS NOISILY

0:24:13 > 0:24:14HE BURPS

0:24:14 > 0:24:16Someone thrown in the towel, Min?

0:24:16 > 0:24:19Yeah. You know you can recycle old materials,

0:24:19 > 0:24:21like towels, curtains and clothes, Vin?

0:24:21 > 0:24:23They can be turned into anything,

0:24:23 > 0:24:25from furniture filler to loft insulation.

0:24:25 > 0:24:27And door-stop monsters!

0:24:27 > 0:24:30I met a three-headed monster the other day.

0:24:30 > 0:24:32Really?! What did you say?

0:24:32 > 0:24:34Hello, hello, hello!

0:24:34 > 0:24:37THEY LAUGH AND LIDS BANG

0:24:38 > 0:24:41DEEP GROWLING

0:24:41 > 0:24:43- That sounds like him now.- Huh?!

0:24:46 > 0:24:47Act casual.

0:24:47 > 0:24:49THEY WHISTLE AND HUM

0:24:58 > 0:25:01'After all that lifting and shifting, time for a break.'

0:25:14 > 0:25:16- Ready to go?- Yep.

0:25:16 > 0:25:17Let's get to work.

0:25:29 > 0:25:32It's all going to come together, honest.

0:25:37 > 0:25:38Nearly there.

0:25:40 > 0:25:42- That's right, isn't it?- That's it.

0:25:46 > 0:25:48It's starting to look really interesting.

0:25:48 > 0:25:50It is.

0:25:50 > 0:25:53I think this one is going to be really effective as well.

0:25:53 > 0:25:56- Around there? - Yeah, all the way along.- OK.

0:26:09 > 0:26:11Hey, Michelle, what about this?

0:26:11 > 0:26:13Ooh, perfect.

0:26:22 > 0:26:23Any ideas?

0:26:30 > 0:26:32You'll see.

0:26:34 > 0:26:35Getting there...

0:26:43 > 0:26:44Moment of truth...

0:26:47 > 0:26:49That looks wicked!

0:26:50 > 0:26:52'So, there you have it.

0:26:52 > 0:26:54'London, a city rises from the rubbish.'

0:27:10 > 0:27:12Now, THAT is a bright idea.

0:27:12 > 0:27:15- We'll see you next time on Totally Rubbish.- See ya.

0:27:17 > 0:27:19'Why don't you have a go at making some fake poo...

0:27:21 > 0:27:24'..creating your own pop-up picture...

0:27:24 > 0:27:26'cooking up some crisp packet badges...'

0:27:27 > 0:27:29'..or making your own monster doorstop?'

0:27:32 > 0:27:35'And start collecting cardboard rolls and string...'

0:27:36 > 0:27:38'..old newspaper and ribbon...'

0:27:39 > 0:27:43'..and your leftover wrapping paper for next time on Totally Rubbish..
