0:03:54 > 0:03:59Let's celebrate by hearing a story about some Treasure Champs

0:03:59 > 0:04:01who learnt all about hard work.

0:04:08 > 0:04:10Hello, Treasure Champs.

0:04:10 > 0:04:15I'm Gemma and this is an old story called The Treasure In The Field.

0:04:18 > 0:04:22Once upon a time, there was... a farmer.

0:04:22 > 0:04:24The farmer worked very hard.

0:04:24 > 0:04:28He dug the soil, he sowed the seeds and he grew amazing

0:04:28 > 0:04:32crops which he sold to make money to look after his three children.

0:04:32 > 0:04:36But his three children were very lazy and never helped.

0:04:44 > 0:04:46One day, the farmer sadly died

0:04:46 > 0:04:50but he'd written a message for his children to read.

0:04:51 > 0:04:53"My children.

0:04:53 > 0:04:57"I've worked hard for you my whole life and now I'm gone,

0:04:57 > 0:05:00"you will have to work hard for yourselves.

0:05:00 > 0:05:04"Some days may feel long and you might become tired,

0:05:04 > 0:05:07"but I promise you will feel rewarded.

0:05:08 > 0:05:11"Although it doesn't look like it, there is

0:05:11 > 0:05:15"treasure hidden in the land around you."

0:05:15 > 0:05:18Treasure? This sounds like fun!

0:05:22 > 0:05:26The children couldn't believe it. They were going to be rich!

0:05:26 > 0:05:30They were so excited, they started to dig straightaway.

0:05:34 > 0:05:36Oh!

0:05:37 > 0:05:39Oh!

0:05:46 > 0:05:47Oh!

0:05:49 > 0:05:52Oh! Eurgh!

0:05:54 > 0:05:59They dug and they dug, but they couldn't find treasure anywhere.

0:05:59 > 0:06:01They didn't give in, though.

0:06:01 > 0:06:06They dug all day, they dug all night until they'd dug everywhere!

0:06:07 > 0:06:09It was really hard work.

0:06:10 > 0:06:15They were so tired and they still hadn't found any riches.

0:06:15 > 0:06:17They began to wonder if it was a trick.

0:06:20 > 0:06:25Dad definitely said to dig, but we've dug the whole land

0:06:25 > 0:06:27and haven't found any treasure.

0:06:28 > 0:06:32Oh. Seeds?

0:06:32 > 0:06:35Well, we've done all the digging. We may as well plant them.

0:06:35 > 0:06:37What do you think? Yeah?

0:06:39 > 0:06:42So the three children planted the seeds.

0:06:42 > 0:06:45After all, it's what their father would've done.

0:06:45 > 0:06:49Then many months later, they discovered something amazing.

0:06:51 > 0:06:55All our hard work digging has made the crops grow even bigger

0:06:55 > 0:06:57than ever!

0:06:57 > 0:06:59THEY CHEER

0:06:59 > 0:07:03- Fruit and veg.- Fruit and veg.- Come and get your lovely fruit and veg!

0:07:03 > 0:07:05Oh.

0:07:05 > 0:07:09They sold all their crops and made lots of money.

0:07:11 > 0:07:13Thank you very much, madam.

0:07:13 > 0:07:16They realised that their father had been teaching them

0:07:16 > 0:07:18the meaning of hard work.

0:07:20 > 0:07:25They'd dug up all the land and their hard work had made them rich.

0:07:25 > 0:07:28Now it was hard work telling that treasure story,

0:07:28 > 0:07:30but it was worth it.

0:07:30 > 0:07:33Thank you both so much for helping me.

0:07:33 > 0:07:35It's based on an old fable by a man called Aesop.

0:07:35 > 0:07:37- See you soon.- ALL:- Bye.

0:07:40 > 0:07:43The children were Treasure Champs in the end,

0:07:51 > 0:07:54Afterwards, you deserve a good, long rest.

0:08:23 > 0:08:26HE PLAYS THE UKULELE

0:08:26 > 0:08:33Hi, I'm Rex and I've been learning to play the ukulele for two years.

0:08:33 > 0:08:36The ukulele is like a small guitar.

0:08:36 > 0:08:40It's so much fun to play and it makes a great sound.

0:08:45 > 0:08:50- Hi, Mike.- Morning, how are you doing?- Very well.- Good to see you.

0:08:50 > 0:08:53Today, my ukulele teacher, Mike,

0:08:53 > 0:08:55is coming round for a lesson.

0:08:55 > 0:08:58Rex, I'm going to teach you a little technique called

0:08:58 > 0:09:01the spider and that helps us to get control of each

0:09:01 > 0:09:05one of our fingers so we can play a tricky song like this. OK? So...

0:09:11 > 0:09:14And that's helping us gain control of our fingers.

0:09:14 > 0:09:18So do you want to try that? That one. There you go.

0:09:18 > 0:09:21Same on the next string.

0:09:23 > 0:09:26Brilliant, excellent, so that's the spider.

0:09:26 > 0:09:29Let's try the first section. We'll just do this little bit.

0:09:29 > 0:09:32HE PLAYS

0:09:33 > 0:09:35- Oh, my!- It's quite tricky, that one.

0:09:35 > 0:09:38Let's not try and do it fast just yet.

0:09:38 > 0:09:41Let's slow it down and get all the fingers right.

0:09:41 > 0:09:44Playing instruments is always tricky to begin with.

0:09:44 > 0:09:46But if you put in hard work and

0:09:46 > 0:09:49learn the notes, you can make music.

0:09:49 > 0:09:52What a great skill to have!

0:09:54 > 0:09:57This tune is the hardest one I've learnt so far.

0:09:57 > 0:10:00OK, good job, buddy. Good lesson. Give me five.

0:10:08 > 0:10:11I've made a poster ready for my performance.

0:10:13 > 0:10:15I hope I remember all of the music.

0:11:54 > 0:11:59First we need to wash our hands and the fruit we've picked.

0:12:02 > 0:12:06We're helping grandma turn the fruit into juice.

0:12:06 > 0:12:09We then get rid of all the pips and seeds.

0:12:09 > 0:12:11Next, we need eggs and sugar.
