0:00:25 > 0:00:27# We're Treasure Champs. #

0:00:32 > 0:00:35Hi, Treasure Champs.

0:00:35 > 0:00:38Today's treasure is obedience,

0:00:38 > 0:00:40which means to follow rules.

0:00:40 > 0:00:42And it's very important

0:00:42 > 0:00:44because rules are there for a very good reason.

0:00:44 > 0:00:47Even if we don't understand why.

0:00:47 > 0:00:51Hi, Barry. Do you want to come and play with the ball?

0:00:51 > 0:00:54Eh, Kari, didn't you see the sign?

0:00:54 > 0:00:58The sign? Oh, don't worry.

0:00:58 > 0:01:00Oh-ho-ho, yeah.

0:01:00 > 0:01:03The sign doesn't mean, draw a line on your ball.

0:01:03 > 0:01:06It means, no balls allowed here.

0:01:06 > 0:01:07It's a rule.

0:01:07 > 0:01:10But I don't like that rule.

0:01:10 > 0:01:12- That's not very...- Catch!

0:01:12 > 0:01:13..obedient.

0:01:17 > 0:01:19TRUMPETS PLAY

0:01:22 > 0:01:24# What, what, what, what, what do you think?

0:01:24 > 0:01:26# What, what, what, what, what do you say?

0:01:26 > 0:01:28# What does it mean?

0:01:28 > 0:01:29# What do you do?

0:01:29 > 0:01:31# About this treasure?

0:01:31 > 0:01:32# It's over to you. #

0:01:35 > 0:01:38Obedient means when you follow a rule.

0:01:38 > 0:01:42Being obedient means doing things the right way.

0:01:42 > 0:01:44Obedient is where you listen to your parents

0:01:44 > 0:01:48and you do what they say and you don't get hurt.

0:01:48 > 0:01:52It's important to be obedient

0:01:52 > 0:01:57so you don't break anything that might be valuable.

0:01:57 > 0:02:01At tea time, sometimes my brother doesn't follow the rules

0:02:01 > 0:02:04and he runs upstairs and hides in his wardrobe.

0:02:04 > 0:02:09When I go home, I have to follow the rules to do my chores

0:02:09 > 0:02:11and tidy my room.

0:02:13 > 0:02:15Hmm.

0:02:15 > 0:02:17I still can't think of any reason

0:02:17 > 0:02:19why I shouldn't play with the ball here.

0:02:19 > 0:02:21- But there is a reason.- Watch out!

0:02:21 > 0:02:23Hey-up!

0:02:23 > 0:02:26I said, "There is a reason for the rule."

0:02:26 > 0:02:28The reason is...

0:02:31 > 0:02:33There is a reason for the rule!

0:02:35 > 0:02:36Oops.

0:02:36 > 0:02:38I guess that means there aren't any rules now.

0:02:38 > 0:02:42So it's time for my highest throw ever.

0:02:42 > 0:02:43Alley-oop.

0:02:49 > 0:02:51How did that happen?

0:02:51 > 0:02:53That is why the sign was there.

0:02:53 > 0:02:56The rule was to protect the flower.

0:02:56 > 0:02:58I am so sorry.

0:02:58 > 0:03:03I wasn't obedient and now I've hurt the flower.

0:03:03 > 0:03:05Will it be all right?

0:03:05 > 0:03:07I think so.

0:03:07 > 0:03:11Now I understand why rules are important.

0:03:11 > 0:03:13Right, shall we go and find somewhere

0:03:13 > 0:03:16where it's OK to bounce the ball?

0:03:16 > 0:03:17Yes, please.

0:03:25 > 0:03:27Let's play!

0:03:27 > 0:03:28Wait.

0:03:31 > 0:03:32No flowers.

0:03:33 > 0:03:37Now, as long as everybody is obedient and follows my new rule,

0:03:37 > 0:03:41no flowers will get hurt while we play with the ball.

0:03:41 > 0:03:42Catch.

0:03:43 > 0:03:45Well done, Barry. Very obedient.

0:03:45 > 0:03:47Oh-ho-ho.

0:03:47 > 0:03:49And here's a story about a Treasure Champ

0:03:49 > 0:03:52who learned all about obedience.

0:03:58 > 0:04:00Hello, I'm Jonah.

0:04:00 > 0:04:05And this is the incredible story of another man called Jonah,

0:04:05 > 0:04:07who was friends with his god.

0:04:07 > 0:04:10It's called Jonah And The Big Fish.

0:04:15 > 0:04:19Once there was a city called Nineveh

0:04:19 > 0:04:21where the people didn't follow God's rules.

0:04:21 > 0:04:24- They were very disobedient. - CHILDREN: Na-na-na-na-na!

0:04:24 > 0:04:26And very naughty.

0:04:26 > 0:04:30Now, Jonah was one of God's messengers.

0:04:30 > 0:04:32And one day God said to Jonah...

0:04:32 > 0:04:36Jonah, go tell the people of Nineveh that I love them

0:04:36 > 0:04:39and they should stop being naughty.

0:04:39 > 0:04:41The rules I've given them are good.

0:04:41 > 0:04:45If they start being obedient, they will be much happier.

0:04:45 > 0:04:48But, God, I don't see the point.

0:04:48 > 0:04:50The people of Nineveh are really naughty.

0:04:50 > 0:04:52They'll never learn to be obedient.

0:04:52 > 0:04:55Now, don't you start being disobedient.

0:04:55 > 0:04:57Please do what I told you to do.

0:04:57 > 0:04:59OK, God.

0:04:59 > 0:05:03I'll go tell the people of Nineveh they should stop being naughty.

0:05:03 > 0:05:05Though I still don't think it'll work.

0:05:05 > 0:05:10But just as soon as Jonah thought that God wasn't looking,

0:05:10 > 0:05:13he decided he wouldn't do what God had told him to do.

0:05:17 > 0:05:21And then, Jonah got into a boat with some sailors.

0:05:21 > 0:05:25And sailed away in the opposite direction.

0:05:25 > 0:05:27Suddenly, there was a huge storm.

0:05:27 > 0:05:30The wind howled and the waves were enormous.

0:05:30 > 0:05:34The boat was tossed this way and that.

0:05:34 > 0:05:36Ah! This storm is all my fault.

0:05:36 > 0:05:39It's because I wasn't obedient.

0:05:39 > 0:05:42I believe, if you throw me into the sea,

0:05:42 > 0:05:46the storm will stop and the boat won't get smashed by the waves.

0:05:46 > 0:05:49So the sailors threw Jonah into the sea.

0:05:49 > 0:05:50Whoa!

0:05:50 > 0:05:52SPLASH

0:06:01 > 0:06:05Amazingly, the storm stopped.

0:06:05 > 0:06:07The waves became calm

0:06:07 > 0:06:09and the wind died down.

0:06:09 > 0:06:13But now Jonah was just bobbing in the sea.

0:06:13 > 0:06:17And all he could see was water,

0:06:17 > 0:06:18water,

0:06:18 > 0:06:20water.

0:06:20 > 0:06:22How was he ever going to get to shore?

0:06:22 > 0:06:25Then something amazing happened.

0:06:25 > 0:06:28A giant fish swallowed him whole.

0:06:30 > 0:06:34But don't worry, God didn't send the giant fish to eat Jonah,

0:06:34 > 0:06:37he sent it to save him so that he wouldn't drown.

0:06:37 > 0:06:42Jonah camped out in the belly of the fish for three whole days,

0:06:42 > 0:06:45which gave him lots of time to think about how good God had been

0:06:45 > 0:06:47to rescue him.

0:06:47 > 0:06:51Then God told the fish to take Jonah to the shore.

0:06:51 > 0:06:52Whoa!

0:06:52 > 0:06:56God had saved Jonah.

0:06:56 > 0:06:58Though he must have smelled terrible.

0:06:58 > 0:06:59Eurgh!

0:06:59 > 0:07:03Jonah was very thankful and decided to be obedient

0:07:03 > 0:07:05and do what God had asked him to do.

0:07:08 > 0:07:12So Jonah went to Nineveh and said to the people...

0:07:12 > 0:07:15"God says, 'Please stop being naughty.'

0:07:15 > 0:07:17"You should obey his rules, they're really good."

0:07:17 > 0:07:18Na-na-na-na-na!

0:07:20 > 0:07:22And to his surprise,

0:07:22 > 0:07:26all the people of Nineveh said sorry for the things they had done wrong.

0:07:26 > 0:07:29They decided to be obedient.

0:07:29 > 0:07:32Jonah was amazed.

0:07:32 > 0:07:35Thanks for helping me tell this treasure story.

0:07:35 > 0:07:37It's from the Hebrew Bible and the Old Testament.

0:07:37 > 0:07:40See you again soon. Bye.

0:07:41 > 0:07:45So, Jonah was a Treasure Champ in the end.

0:07:45 > 0:07:48Kari, are you ready to play with the ball yet?

0:07:48 > 0:07:50One more sign.

0:07:52 > 0:07:57No big fishes? Well, I guess that rule is easy enough to obey.

0:07:57 > 0:07:58HE LAUGHS

0:07:58 > 0:08:00SHE LAUGHS

0:08:00 > 0:08:03Let's see how obedient you Treasure Champs are.

0:08:17 > 0:08:19# It's over to you. #

0:08:25 > 0:08:28I'm Sophia and this is my brother, Miles.

0:08:30 > 0:08:34We're going into the woods today with our friends.

0:08:34 > 0:08:36We are wearing wellies

0:08:36 > 0:08:39because the ground is very muddy.

0:08:39 > 0:08:43Now we're ready for our adventure in the woods.

0:08:43 > 0:08:45We're all really excited.

0:08:46 > 0:08:50Hi, guys. I'm Ranger Adam and welcome to the woods.

0:08:50 > 0:08:54Now, today, what we're going to do is make sure that you are safe

0:08:54 > 0:08:55whilst you are in the woods.

0:08:55 > 0:08:59He teaches children like us how to have fun in the woods.

0:08:59 > 0:09:02In a little while, we will actually be going collecting some sticks.

0:09:02 > 0:09:04And we will be bringing them all back to the fire,

0:09:04 > 0:09:06we'll be getting a fire going,

0:09:06 > 0:09:08so that we can, hopefully, toast some marshmallows.

0:09:08 > 0:09:11OK, so we're now going to go and collect some sticks,

0:09:11 > 0:09:14ready for the marshmallows and the fire. Is everybody ready?

0:09:14 > 0:09:16- ALL: Yes!- OK, then let's go.

0:09:19 > 0:09:23So, snappy wood...is fire happy wood.

0:09:23 > 0:09:25We found out which sticks are best for the fire

0:09:25 > 0:09:28and which are best for the marshmallows.

0:09:28 > 0:09:31This one might be really, really good for your marshmallow.

0:09:31 > 0:09:34We collect as many sticks as we can.

0:09:38 > 0:09:39OK, so now what we need to do,

0:09:39 > 0:09:41now we've collected in all our sticks,

0:09:41 > 0:09:44we'll sort them all out and once we've then done that,

0:09:44 > 0:09:47we can then get the fire striker to light them.

0:09:50 > 0:09:52There we go.

0:09:52 > 0:09:53- Whoa!- Wow!

0:09:56 > 0:10:00Adam teaches us to keep a safe distance

0:10:00 > 0:10:03and always face the fire.

0:10:03 > 0:10:05Hold your stick at the end

0:10:05 > 0:10:07and then you can place it just above the flames.

0:10:07 > 0:10:10And what I'd like you to, first of all, start doing,

0:10:10 > 0:10:12is turning it round nice and slowly.

0:10:12 > 0:10:16OK, so if you want to pop that under your arm for me. Perfect.

0:10:28 > 0:10:31and having a really good time.
