0:02:28 > 0:02:29This is my mum Santosh,

0:02:29 > 0:02:31my big sister Sonya, my dad Chata,

0:02:31 > 0:02:33my crazy brothers Rahu and Venish.

0:02:33 > 0:02:37And last but not least, this is my big sister Kaja

0:02:37 > 0:02:38and she's busy holidaying in India.

0:02:38 > 0:02:40She loves films, music, dance.

0:02:40 > 0:02:45She's always on the internet searching for the new fashion.

0:02:45 > 0:02:48And, of course, fashion is her passion.

0:02:48 > 0:02:51My passion for fashion is something really special to me

0:02:51 > 0:02:54and it really helps me express myself. Look at this.

0:02:54 > 0:02:57My big sister Sonya, she always asks me,

0:02:57 > 0:02:58"Does this look right?"

0:02:58 > 0:03:02It's got a nice hem to it and some nice reflective fabric.

0:03:02 > 0:03:03The green's really nice,

0:03:03 > 0:03:06but as you can see it's got some dark colours like black and dark green.

0:03:06 > 0:03:08When she's out shopping with me, she'll say,

0:03:08 > 0:03:09"Mum, there's this fabric."

0:03:09 > 0:03:11And I'll say, "No, Neetu, this isn't a good fabric.

0:03:11 > 0:03:13"It's not going to look nice."

0:03:13 > 0:03:15And she always judges me and says, "You watch.

0:03:15 > 0:03:17"Once it's made, it's going to look really good.

0:03:17 > 0:03:20So, I'm so happy and proud of her.

0:03:20 > 0:03:23Fashion's become a part of myself and my identity.

0:03:23 > 0:03:26Neetu was inspired to start sewing when she went to Threads,

0:03:26 > 0:03:27a project near her home.

0:03:27 > 0:03:29Threads is a really good project

0:03:29 > 0:03:34and I'm really happy that I'm a part of it. It's helped me so much.

0:03:34 > 0:03:36Every girl is talented, every person is talented,

0:03:36 > 0:03:39but sometimes they just can't find it.

0:03:39 > 0:03:42Threads' main aim is to teach fashion to girls in this

0:03:42 > 0:03:43part of east London,

0:03:43 > 0:03:46giving them a focus and keeping them away from trouble.

0:03:46 > 0:03:49You need to trim it down so that it's slightly smaller.

0:03:49 > 0:03:52Children in Need fund our projects because

0:03:52 > 0:03:54the Pembury Estate had quite a lot of issues in the past

0:03:54 > 0:03:57and we wanted to bring a new project

0:03:57 > 0:03:59that was really exciting and really innovative,

0:03:59 > 0:04:01and will actually lead to a career path.

0:04:01 > 0:04:04Threads has definitely helped girls gain that confidence,

0:04:04 > 0:04:07that talent, and really give them the right path to follow,

0:04:07 > 0:04:10which is really important nowadays.

0:04:10 > 0:04:13But now she's going to need some expert one-on-one mentoring if she's

0:04:13 > 0:04:17going to go from sewing with her friends to stitching for the stars.

0:04:17 > 0:04:21What's your biggest ambition with regards to your fashion designing?

0:04:21 > 0:04:24I think I just want to see people wearing my brand,

0:04:24 > 0:04:26wearing the clothes that I've made,

0:04:26 > 0:04:28that would just make me feel like,

0:04:28 > 0:04:30"Yeah, my dream has actually come true."

0:04:30 > 0:04:34How hard are you going to work to make sure that you're totally

0:04:34 > 0:04:36and fully Turbo Boosted?

0:04:36 > 0:04:41I mean, 24-7 will be Turbo Boost, Turbo Boost, Turbo Boost.

0:04:41 > 0:04:44I will definitely be working as hard as I possibly can.

0:04:44 > 0:04:46Now would you like to see who your mentor's going to be?

0:04:46 > 0:04:48- Yes.- Let's have a look.

0:04:48 > 0:04:50Hi, Neetu, this is Myleene Klass.

0:04:50 > 0:04:53Congratulations on being Turbo Boosted.

0:04:53 > 0:04:57Now I am delighted to be your mentor and I can't wait to meet you.

0:04:57 > 0:05:00However, before we meet, you've got one special challenge to do.

0:05:00 > 0:05:03I need you to brush up on your technical skills.

0:05:03 > 0:05:05I've given all of the details to Turbo,

0:05:05 > 0:05:07so he's going to guide you through it.

0:05:07 > 0:05:08And like I said, I can't wait to meet you.

0:05:08 > 0:05:11It's going to be a lot of hard work but I know you can do it.

0:05:11 > 0:05:12You are the woman for the job.

0:05:14 > 0:05:16I'm... I'm amazed.

0:05:16 > 0:05:17She's classy.

0:05:17 > 0:05:21That's amazing. She's lovely and she's got a wicked sense of fashion,

0:05:21 > 0:05:23and she's so stylish.

0:05:23 > 0:05:25All you need to do now is jump into a cab

0:05:25 > 0:05:29and head into the heart of fashionable London. Let's go.

0:05:31 > 0:05:34Over the next four weeks, Neetu has to design

0:05:34 > 0:05:37and create an amazing piece of clothing.

0:05:37 > 0:05:40I'm here to supersize your fashion designing talent.

0:05:40 > 0:05:41That's brilliant.

0:05:41 > 0:05:45And if that's hard enough, she's then got to showcase it here

0:05:45 > 0:05:48at one of the biggest star-studded fashion events in the world -

0:05:48 > 0:05:49London Fashion Week.

0:05:49 > 0:05:52- London Fashion Week? - London Fashion Week.

0:05:52 > 0:05:55For one week only, the world's fashion experts come to see

0:05:55 > 0:05:58the latest creations from the best of the UK's fashion designers.

0:05:58 > 0:06:01It's the biggest challenge of Neetu's life.

0:06:05 > 0:06:09Neetu, this is Saville Row.

0:06:09 > 0:06:14Well, this is the home of London's finest tailors and seamstresses.

0:06:14 > 0:06:15- Let's go and impress.- OK.

0:06:18 > 0:06:21Great British Sewing Bee judge Patrick Grant knows

0:06:21 > 0:06:23everything there is to know about tailoring.

0:06:23 > 0:06:26I'm fortunate to work with the best sewers in the world.

0:06:26 > 0:06:28His attention to detail is impeccable

0:06:28 > 0:06:30when it comes to making clothes.

0:06:30 > 0:06:33It is a difficult fabric and you've handled it extremely well.

0:06:33 > 0:06:36He's a fashion designer and tailor to the rich and famous.

0:06:36 > 0:06:39With customers like the Duke of Edinburgh on his books,

0:06:39 > 0:06:43he's the perfect person to boost Neetu's tailoring skills.

0:06:43 > 0:06:46So, let's have a look at the pieces you've brought in.

0:06:46 > 0:06:49Patrick starts by assessing Neetu's sewing skills.

0:06:49 > 0:06:51A couple of things. I mean, actually, it's very neat.

0:06:51 > 0:06:53It's really nice and straight down the front edge.

0:06:53 > 0:06:56That's really good. A little fraction of a wobble on that one.

0:06:56 > 0:06:59What you've got here are a couple of the checks just

0:06:59 > 0:07:00disappearing off the edge.

0:07:00 > 0:07:05It's not a bad start, but he instantly sees how she can improve.

0:07:05 > 0:07:07Darts on the front here...

0:07:07 > 0:07:09a little bit uneven again.

0:07:09 > 0:07:13A little bit of unevenness here when you've sewn that,

0:07:13 > 0:07:14but it's really nice.

0:07:14 > 0:07:17Patrick can see Neetu has some basic tailoring skills,

0:07:17 > 0:07:20but they're nowhere near the level that's needed to

0:07:20 > 0:07:22showcase at London Fashion Week.

0:07:22 > 0:07:23She's got to go back to basics

0:07:23 > 0:07:27and learn the first stage of tailoring to professional standards,

0:07:27 > 0:07:29starting with pattern cutting.

0:07:29 > 0:07:35If we grab a waistcoat pattern, we can get you to mark around it

0:07:35 > 0:07:38on a piece of cloth and then we're going to move over and...

0:07:38 > 0:07:40we're going to cut it out, aren't we? OK.

0:07:40 > 0:07:43The first thing we have to do, once we have that pattern,

0:07:43 > 0:07:45is transfer the pattern onto the cloth.

0:07:45 > 0:07:47So, this is the cloth that ultimately

0:07:47 > 0:07:48the garment is going to be made from.

0:07:48 > 0:07:51Every bit of fabric that makes up a piece of clothing is cut to

0:07:51 > 0:07:55a pattern. It may look easy but it can take years to learn.

0:07:55 > 0:07:58It's a difficult skill to master, putting chalk onto cloth.

0:07:58 > 0:08:00The nice thing about the chalk,

0:08:00 > 0:08:03if you don't get it right you can rub it off and start again.

0:08:03 > 0:08:05So, if there's a bit that looks a bit wonky,

0:08:05 > 0:08:09which this one's starting to do, you can always just rub it out.

0:08:09 > 0:08:12Neetu's lines around the pattern aren't precise enough.

0:08:12 > 0:08:16Making a mistake here would make the garment the wrong shape and size.

0:08:17 > 0:08:19- So, now we need to cut it out.- Yes.

0:08:19 > 0:08:21With the pattern drawn,

0:08:21 > 0:08:25Neetu's shown how to use another tool of the tailor's trade.

0:08:25 > 0:08:29Along straight lines you want to use the whole shears.

0:08:29 > 0:08:31Nice, confident strokes.

0:08:31 > 0:08:33And when you're cutting round a corner, if you use smaller,

0:08:33 > 0:08:37more measured cuts, you'll get a better, more accurate line.

0:08:39 > 0:08:40She's off to a slow start.

0:08:40 > 0:08:41She needs to be confident

0:08:41 > 0:08:44when she's following the smooth lines she's drawn.

0:08:44 > 0:08:47That sounds more like it.

0:08:47 > 0:08:49A good, firm crunch through the cloth.

0:08:49 > 0:08:50Small...

0:08:51 > 0:08:53..snips to get round the corner.

0:08:53 > 0:08:55She's very confident with the shears.

0:08:55 > 0:08:58These are big heavy objects and she's handling it very well.

0:09:00 > 0:09:03So, we've gone from pattern cutting,

0:09:03 > 0:09:07obviously vitally important, to equally important - tailoring.

0:09:07 > 0:09:10One of Patrick's expert tailors, Rachel, shows Neetu

0:09:10 > 0:09:11the essentials of sewing.

0:09:11 > 0:09:16The first thing we do is to mark all the chalk with tailor's tacks

0:09:16 > 0:09:18because the chalk can come out really easily.

0:09:18 > 0:09:21It's taken Rachel six years to perfect this stage of tailoring.

0:09:21 > 0:09:24She's got to teach Neetu in an afternoon.

0:09:24 > 0:09:25How wide does the stitch have to be?

0:09:25 > 0:09:27I can show you to start with.

0:09:27 > 0:09:30Getting the stitches even is hard to master,

0:09:30 > 0:09:33but it's a skill she needs to get right if she's to reach

0:09:33 > 0:09:35professional tailoring standards in just four weeks.

0:09:35 > 0:09:37You can carry on.

0:09:38 > 0:09:41It's just practice, but also don't forget it's all about just

0:09:41 > 0:09:44keeping it straight and following the line.

0:09:44 > 0:09:46It's a lot to remember,

0:09:46 > 0:09:48but the more you do it the more it becomes second nature.

0:09:50 > 0:09:54It's the end of the masterclass and I want to know how she's got on.

0:09:54 > 0:09:56I think it's clear she's good on the sewing machine.

0:09:56 > 0:09:59You know, you can tell that from the way she's executed the skirt

0:09:59 > 0:10:00and the jacket.

0:10:00 > 0:10:03The hand sewing, I think, needs a little bit of work.

0:10:03 > 0:10:05It's not a skill that comes easily.

0:10:05 > 0:10:09I think she needs to just put the same meticulous care and

0:10:09 > 0:10:12attention into the easy bits that she does into the difficult bits.

0:10:14 > 0:10:17If it wasn't for Turbo Boost, I wouldn't never have felt that

0:10:17 > 0:10:19feeling in a billion years.

0:10:19 > 0:10:21It was so special, that moment, for me

0:10:21 > 0:10:24and it really did make me feel so grateful and so lucky.

0:10:24 > 0:10:27I think I'm not really going to find anything easy.

0:10:27 > 0:10:29Patrick did really clarify that.

0:10:29 > 0:10:33He really did tell me about certain fabrics, about certain techniques,

0:10:33 > 0:10:34about how to stitch.

0:10:34 > 0:10:37And it really did teach me how to pattern cut properly,

0:10:37 > 0:10:42the proper equipment to use, and I learnt so much in the first hours.

0:10:44 > 0:10:47Having given Neetu's tailoring skills a boost,

0:10:47 > 0:10:49I've brought her to meet her mentor.

0:10:49 > 0:10:51Hi, we're here to see Myleene Klass.

0:10:53 > 0:10:55When Myleene Klass isn't presenting,

0:10:55 > 0:10:58she's designing her own clothing range.

0:10:58 > 0:11:01She's the perfect mentor to guide Neetu through the different

0:11:01 > 0:11:02stages of her design.

0:11:04 > 0:11:08- Myleene, this is Neetu. - Nice to meet you. How are you?

0:11:08 > 0:11:10- You good?- I'm fine, thanks. - Good girl.

0:11:10 > 0:11:13Now we need your fashion expertise to help her designs

0:11:13 > 0:11:16go from fabulous drawings to catwalk-ready.

0:11:16 > 0:11:18So, show me, what have you got?

0:11:18 > 0:11:21Neetu's created a mood board of ideas to show Myleene.

0:11:21 > 0:11:25Fashion designers use these to help visualise their new collections.

0:11:25 > 0:11:28- Oh! That's my favourite colour red in the world.- Thank you.

0:11:28 > 0:11:30That real sort of tomato red, cherry red.

0:11:30 > 0:11:32- What have you got here? You've got your dress.- Yeah.

0:11:32 > 0:11:35I'm happy with the design and I'm looking at some Indian inspiration,

0:11:35 > 0:11:37and I've been looking at the embellishment

0:11:37 > 0:11:39and the embroidery that they use.

0:11:39 > 0:11:43So, maybe a fishtail so it really looks big and...

0:11:43 > 0:11:46- So, you're going for impact. - Yes.- OK.

0:11:46 > 0:11:48Neetu's dress is still a drawing on paper,

0:11:48 > 0:11:52but Myleene wants her to think about how she's going to make this

0:11:52 > 0:11:54drawing into a dress that can be worn.

0:11:54 > 0:11:57When you're going to be sewing a lot of embellishments,

0:11:57 > 0:11:59you're going to have to choose your fabrics really carefully

0:11:59 > 0:12:02cos you don't want the weight of those beads, for example,

0:12:02 > 0:12:04just to tear or snag or pull that gown.

0:12:04 > 0:12:06I'm planning to do lace at the top...

0:12:06 > 0:12:09The lace is not going to be strong enough to hold the entire

0:12:09 > 0:12:10body of work that you've got going on here.

0:12:10 > 0:12:13Don't underestimate how much weight is going to be held

0:12:13 > 0:12:15if you're going to put that much beading on.

0:12:15 > 0:12:18Neetu's realising that if she wants her dream dress to become a reality,

0:12:18 > 0:12:21choosing the right fabric is crucial.

0:12:21 > 0:12:23I didn't really think about it.

0:12:23 > 0:12:25It's come across to me that it's really important.

0:12:25 > 0:12:27I can't wait to see what it's going to look like,

0:12:27 > 0:12:31but I really do think you've set yourself quite a challenge as well.

0:12:31 > 0:12:35What I think's really important to do is just...just get sewing!

0:12:35 > 0:12:38Neetu has got some important questions she needs to answer.

0:12:38 > 0:12:43It's the first time she's ever had to think about fashion in this way.

0:12:43 > 0:12:46Today I really learnt about the practical side.

0:12:46 > 0:12:49Because before I knew about drawing and labelling, but now you

0:12:49 > 0:12:53actually have to go deep inside and see what the garment actually is,

0:12:53 > 0:12:57and how it actually works to piece everything together professionally.

0:12:58 > 0:13:01Today was fabulous and I feel so tired.

0:13:01 > 0:13:04I mean, today was really, really great.

0:13:04 > 0:13:07I can't believe I met Myleene Klass. I mean, she was so, so nice.

0:13:07 > 0:13:12She talked about how the lace at the top will hold the dress,

0:13:12 > 0:13:16because the dress will kind of hang cos the lace is quite weak

0:13:16 > 0:13:19and the silk that I'm choosing is quite heavy.

0:13:19 > 0:13:22I'm definitely going to act on my mentor's advice.

0:13:25 > 0:13:26Neetu's been Turbo Boosted.

0:13:26 > 0:13:29Her tailoring skills are being put to the

0:13:29 > 0:13:31test by the best in the business.

0:13:31 > 0:13:32That sounds more like it.

0:13:32 > 0:13:34A good, firm crunch through the cloth.

0:13:34 > 0:13:36Her dress has been scrutinised,

0:13:36 > 0:13:39with potentially disastrous problems spotted.

0:13:39 > 0:13:42The lace is not going to be strong enough to hold the entire

0:13:42 > 0:13:44body of work you've got going on here.

0:13:44 > 0:13:47With only two weeks until she needs to showcase her finished dress

0:13:47 > 0:13:50at one of the biggest fashion events in the world,

0:13:50 > 0:13:53Neetu's design skills still need work.

0:13:53 > 0:13:57I think it's time for me to up her game and set her a mini challenge.

0:13:59 > 0:14:02I've brought Neetu to the London College of Fashion.

0:14:02 > 0:14:05She's about to find out how tough fashion design really is,

0:14:05 > 0:14:08as Claire the course director sets her a challenge

0:14:08 > 0:14:11she usually gives her degree students

0:14:11 > 0:14:13- Hi, Neetu.- Hi.

0:14:13 > 0:14:18Your challenge today is to turn something quite ordinary,

0:14:18 > 0:14:21make it really exciting and innovative.

0:14:21 > 0:14:24Neetu has to make a piece of high fashion

0:14:24 > 0:14:27clothing from bits of men's shirts.

0:14:27 > 0:14:30Sleeves, cuffs, collars...

0:14:30 > 0:14:32And as if that wasn't enough drama...

0:14:32 > 0:14:36You have only got four hours to complete your challenge.

0:14:37 > 0:14:39Good luck.

0:14:39 > 0:14:40I don't know where to start.

0:14:40 > 0:14:44'Fashion graduate Rachel Greek is on hand to help Neetu make sense

0:14:44 > 0:14:45'of this complicated mini challenge

0:14:45 > 0:14:48'and complete it in the time we've given her.'

0:14:49 > 0:14:52You know this panel here? Can you turn that all into lace?

0:14:52 > 0:14:56I wanted to use all the different types of lace somehow.

0:14:56 > 0:14:57With the clock ticking,

0:14:57 > 0:15:00Neetu is sewing under pressure for the very first time.

0:15:02 > 0:15:04That's your lace panel.

0:15:04 > 0:15:08I'm putting all the stuff in, but I don't know if they all match.

0:15:08 > 0:15:11- We can have something more feminine going on here.- Yeah.

0:15:11 > 0:15:13On the neck. I really like the collar.

0:15:13 > 0:15:16Neetu's trying to create a shirt with that extra creative

0:15:16 > 0:15:18flair Claire was looking for.

0:15:18 > 0:15:22- I'm cutting out a lace panel.- Hmm. - I'm going to put it there.- Yeah.- OK.

0:15:22 > 0:15:25She's decided to put a lace panel on the back,

0:15:25 > 0:15:28but one wrong snip and it could look a mess.

0:15:30 > 0:15:33- I think it's quite nice. - I think it's nice, too.

0:15:33 > 0:15:36Neetu's designing is being seriously challenged.

0:15:36 > 0:15:38Rachel, what time is it?

0:15:38 > 0:15:40Erm, it's ten to three.

0:15:40 > 0:15:44And at the last minute, she has a disaster with the sleeves.

0:15:46 > 0:15:49I just want it to fit nicely.

0:15:49 > 0:15:53Neetu has 20 minutes left, so there's not a lot of time,

0:15:53 > 0:15:55and she still needs to do the hem,

0:15:55 > 0:15:58and she needs to redo the sleeves because they're really messy.

0:16:07 > 0:16:12Out of time and Neetu has just managed to finish her shirt.

0:16:12 > 0:16:14I can't believe that we finally did it in time.

0:16:14 > 0:16:15But will it be innovative

0:16:15 > 0:16:19and fashion forward enough to impress Claire?

0:16:19 > 0:16:20How are we doing?

0:16:20 > 0:16:24So, I like the fact that you've got different types of lace

0:16:24 > 0:16:28and you've also got the applique down here.

0:16:28 > 0:16:31I really like the sleeves cos it actually gives the garment

0:16:31 > 0:16:32the complete shape,

0:16:32 > 0:16:35so you've got a real emphasis on the shoulder line,

0:16:35 > 0:16:38finished with the sleeves on the end.

0:16:38 > 0:16:40So, I think it's a really great creation.

0:16:40 > 0:16:43Neetu's last minute change to her sleeves was spot on,

0:16:43 > 0:16:46but were all her design choices right?

0:16:46 > 0:16:49You've got so much happening in the shoulder line through

0:16:49 > 0:16:52the sleeves and the lace going across the back,

0:16:52 > 0:16:56it almost looks a little bit too plain around the neckline.

0:16:56 > 0:16:59So, perhaps you pared it down a little bit too much.

0:16:59 > 0:17:03After four hectic hours, Neetu finished her mini challenge

0:17:03 > 0:17:06and designed a shirt with flair and innovation.

0:17:06 > 0:17:08Now she needs to get her finger on the fashion pulse

0:17:08 > 0:17:12and create something worthy of a premiere at London Fashion Week.

0:17:15 > 0:17:18I only had four hours.

0:17:18 > 0:17:21I used lace for a particular reason,

0:17:21 > 0:17:24because I know I'm using lace for my final challenge,

0:17:24 > 0:17:26so I wanted to work with lace to see how it all works,

0:17:26 > 0:17:30how to sew it, how to bond the web.

0:17:30 > 0:17:33So, I know what I need to do to reach my final goal.

0:17:34 > 0:17:37It's the start of London Fashion Week

0:17:37 > 0:17:41and for the first time in her life, Neetu is here.

0:17:41 > 0:17:44Incredible. It's... It's indescribable.

0:17:44 > 0:17:45I really can't believe it.

0:17:48 > 0:17:50Today I want her to be inspired

0:17:50 > 0:17:53so she can bring her ambitious design to life.

0:17:53 > 0:17:56Look at everything. I mean, there's models on the catwalk.

0:17:56 > 0:17:58It feels like a dream come true.

0:17:58 > 0:18:01But first, it's time for Neetu to find out who is modelling her

0:18:01 > 0:18:02London Fashion Week debut.

0:18:04 > 0:18:07Do you want to see who you're going to be dressing?

0:18:07 > 0:18:11- Yes.- All right, check this out.

0:18:11 > 0:18:13Hi, Neetu, Michelle here.

0:18:13 > 0:18:15Just want to say, I can't wait to see your dress design

0:18:15 > 0:18:18and I get to wear it as well - that is pretty cool.

0:18:18 > 0:18:21I'm really excited about meeting you and being your model

0:18:21 > 0:18:24for your final Turbo Boost challenge. I'll see you soon.

0:18:24 > 0:18:27- What do you think about that? - I'm really happy.

0:18:27 > 0:18:29She'll look gorgeous in the dress.

0:18:30 > 0:18:34Michelle Ackerley is one of CBBC's star presenters.

0:18:34 > 0:18:35She's fun and fashion crazy,

0:18:35 > 0:18:38and the perfect model for Neetu's final design.

0:18:40 > 0:18:42Now that Neetu knows who's wearing her dress,

0:18:42 > 0:18:44she's letting nothing pass her by.

0:18:45 > 0:18:48You know the embroidery? Is it already on the lace or did you...?

0:18:48 > 0:18:51The embroidery is on the lace, yeah. I bought it as is.

0:18:51 > 0:18:53She's asking for advice

0:18:53 > 0:18:55and showing her designs to the fashion experts here.

0:18:55 > 0:18:58And to boost her fashion skills to the max,

0:18:58 > 0:19:00I've lined up a final mind-blowing treat.

0:19:03 > 0:19:07- The last masterclass right now... - Yeah.- ..is with Henry Holland.

0:19:07 > 0:19:09Oh, my gosh!

0:19:09 > 0:19:12- Seriously?- That's where we're heading off to now.- Oh, my gosh!

0:19:15 > 0:19:18Henry Holland's one of the UK's hottest fashion designers,

0:19:18 > 0:19:22dressing some of the most famous models in the world.

0:19:22 > 0:19:24He knows it's not just the clothes that make a splash,

0:19:24 > 0:19:27it's the whole look.

0:19:27 > 0:19:30While the world's trying to get into his show,

0:19:30 > 0:19:33Neetu's already backstage with Henry to find out how to take

0:19:33 > 0:19:36a dress from coat hanger to catwalk.

0:19:36 > 0:19:39So, you've designed this dress, have you?

0:19:39 > 0:19:42It's so incredible. It's almost like a ball gown.

0:19:42 > 0:19:44So, what do you think about accessories and stuff?

0:19:44 > 0:19:48This lace has got a metallic feel to it,

0:19:48 > 0:19:52so I think if you over accessorise you might

0:19:52 > 0:19:53detract from some of this detail.

0:19:53 > 0:19:55Maybe it's more about simple accessories.

0:19:55 > 0:19:59Maybe a ring and a bracelet, or this bracelet that you've drawn.

0:19:59 > 0:20:01You've obviously got real talent

0:20:01 > 0:20:04and I think it's just about being really...

0:20:04 > 0:20:07gaining confidence in that talent and really staying true to

0:20:07 > 0:20:10what it is you want to say through your clothes.

0:20:10 > 0:20:13Next, Neetu gets some tips from Henry's top make-up

0:20:13 > 0:20:15artist on how to complete the look.

0:20:18 > 0:20:21If you do like a real classic hairdo,

0:20:21 > 0:20:23then I will probably just go for mascara on top

0:20:23 > 0:20:26and a little liner, and then the lips.

0:20:26 > 0:20:29She's been noting down everything she's learnt,

0:20:29 > 0:20:32but there's no substitute for seeing how all this creativity comes

0:20:32 > 0:20:35together at the catwalk show itself.

0:20:38 > 0:20:41Henry Holland's show wows Neetu and the fashion crowd,

0:20:41 > 0:20:44but he's had months to prepare for this.

0:20:44 > 0:20:47Will Neetu's dress stand up to the fashion world's scrutiny

0:20:47 > 0:20:49when she's had just four weeks?

0:20:52 > 0:20:55Today was the best day of my life.

0:20:55 > 0:20:58There were loads of people there who really inspired me.

0:20:58 > 0:21:02I got loads of inspiration. Henry gave me a lot of advice.

0:21:02 > 0:21:05I've really zoomed in on how I want my vision to be

0:21:05 > 0:21:07and how I want the dress to look.

0:21:07 > 0:21:09Henry said one thing to me.

0:21:09 > 0:21:12He said that you need to use your imagination to create

0:21:12 > 0:21:15a story about your garment and about the model.

0:21:17 > 0:21:18Over the past four weeks,

0:21:18 > 0:21:21I've Turbo Boosted Neetu's fashion designing dreams.

0:21:21 > 0:21:24- Fashion Week? London Fashion Week? - London Fashion Week.

0:21:24 > 0:21:27She's come from sewing at home...

0:21:27 > 0:21:29to designing for a star.

0:21:29 > 0:21:31Hi, Neetu, Michelle here.

0:21:31 > 0:21:33She'll look gorgeous in the dress.

0:21:33 > 0:21:35Her tailoring skills have been put to the test...

0:21:35 > 0:21:37It almost looks a little bit too plain.

0:21:37 > 0:21:40..but will she remember all the advice she's been given?

0:21:40 > 0:21:42If there's a bit that looks a bit wonky, you can

0:21:42 > 0:21:43always just rub it out.

0:21:43 > 0:21:45Can she pull it all together

0:21:45 > 0:21:49and create a dress to take London Fashion Week by storm?

0:21:49 > 0:21:51Just get sewing!

0:21:53 > 0:21:54So, today's the big day.

0:21:54 > 0:21:58Today's the day where we obviously showcase the dress

0:21:58 > 0:22:00and Michelle will be modelling it.

0:22:00 > 0:22:02I really can't wait. I mean, I'm so happy.

0:22:02 > 0:22:06All the work, all the effort, everything is going to be...

0:22:06 > 0:22:08This is the day where it's going to be paid off,

0:22:08 > 0:22:10so I really, really can't wait.

0:22:10 > 0:22:12It's here, Neetu's final challenge,

0:22:12 > 0:22:15and she's back at the London College of Fashion.

0:22:15 > 0:22:18Michelle Ackerley is on her way to be fitted with Neetu's

0:22:18 > 0:22:21creation before wearing to the biggest fashion event of the year.

0:22:21 > 0:22:25I'm really excited about it, but the fact that I'm wearing something that

0:22:25 > 0:22:27I've never seen before and there's going to be

0:22:27 > 0:22:30so many fashionistas there, slightly nervous.

0:22:30 > 0:22:31Hey, Neetu...

0:22:31 > 0:22:34- are you ready to see your model? - Yup.

0:22:36 > 0:22:37- Hello.- Hi.- Hi, Neetu.

0:22:37 > 0:22:40- How are you? - Nice to meet you.

0:22:40 > 0:22:42- Is this the dress? - Yeah, this is for you.

0:22:42 > 0:22:45'With no time to lose, Michelle needs to be fitted.'

0:22:45 > 0:22:49Oh, my gosh. I'm getting excited about trying it on now.

0:22:49 > 0:22:54Oh, my gosh. Wow! You look gorgeous.

0:22:54 > 0:22:55- Are you happy?- Yes. I love it.

0:22:55 > 0:22:58We just really need to finish this off now and start fitting it.

0:22:58 > 0:23:01It's the first time Michelle's worn the dress, so Neetu

0:23:01 > 0:23:05and Rachel need to make alterations to fit her figure perfectly.

0:23:05 > 0:23:07Do you want it any tighter on the bum or are you happy with

0:23:07 > 0:23:11- that shape?- It feels fine.

0:23:11 > 0:23:13Neetu is making her last minute alterations

0:23:13 > 0:23:16and finishing touches to the dress,

0:23:16 > 0:23:19because Michelle has to look amazing in front of those

0:23:19 > 0:23:22experts at London Fashion Week.

0:23:22 > 0:23:23The only problem is...

0:23:23 > 0:23:25she's running out of time.

0:23:25 > 0:23:28'As the dress takes shape, Neetu starts focusing on bringing

0:23:28 > 0:23:29'her vision to life.

0:23:29 > 0:23:32'Remembering the styling advice from her masterclasses,

0:23:32 > 0:23:35'she now knows how Michelle's hair and make-up need to be done

0:23:35 > 0:23:37'to complete the look.'

0:23:39 > 0:23:42- What do you think, colour-wise? - Yeah, I think that's nice.

0:23:46 > 0:23:49- Hair up or down? - Up.- Up?- Yeah.

0:23:49 > 0:23:52And to make sure Neetu's dress and vision are boosted to the max,

0:23:52 > 0:23:55X Factor stylist Frank Strachan is here to help.

0:23:55 > 0:23:58Shall I pass some of the earrings down to you and have a look?

0:23:58 > 0:24:00He knows exactly what is needed

0:24:00 > 0:24:02to give Neetu's design that extra sparkle.

0:24:02 > 0:24:04- They're really cute.- I think they're really sweet, yeah.

0:24:04 > 0:24:07I really like these. I think these are really gorgeous

0:24:07 > 0:24:09and they give a sparkle at the top, so it really balance out.

0:24:09 > 0:24:12The right accessories will complement and highlight the dress.

0:24:12 > 0:24:14She needs to get the balance just right.

0:24:14 > 0:24:18This is nice. It's just a little bit more individual as well.

0:24:18 > 0:24:20- Let's see you now.- What do you think? - I think it looks really nice.

0:24:20 > 0:24:22It looks good, actually.

0:24:22 > 0:24:23With make-up done, hair up,

0:24:23 > 0:24:27dress on and the perfect accessories chosen, this is it.

0:24:30 > 0:24:34After four long hard weeks, Neetu's creation has finally arrived

0:24:34 > 0:24:36at one of the world's biggest fashion events -

0:24:36 > 0:24:38London Fashion Week.

0:24:39 > 0:24:43Michelle looks fantastic and immediately starts turning heads.

0:24:43 > 0:24:45The paparazzi are going wild.

0:24:47 > 0:24:50Neetu's desire to use lace has paid off...

0:24:52 > 0:24:54..and her fishtail is just stunning.

0:24:57 > 0:24:59I'm so happy. People are taking pictures continuously.

0:24:59 > 0:25:02- Doesn't she look like a movie star, right now?- Yeah.

0:25:02 > 0:25:05I feel like crying or welling up.

0:25:05 > 0:25:08Yeah, I'm just so proud of myself cos it makes me

0:25:08 > 0:25:10feel like all my hard work really paid off.

0:25:10 > 0:25:13It's been all about the dress so far, but suddenly the

0:25:13 > 0:25:17attention's turned to the designer and Neetu's in the spotlight.

0:25:17 > 0:25:20- Did you make the dress? - Yeah.- How old are you?- I'm 13.

0:25:20 > 0:25:21That's really amazing.

0:25:21 > 0:25:24We'd definitely like to put it on our blog and write about it.

0:25:24 > 0:25:26Thank you. It's an honour.

0:25:26 > 0:25:29We'd like to write about your dress and about you as well.

0:25:29 > 0:25:31All this interest in her dress is brilliant,

0:25:31 > 0:25:34but what do the high street professionals think?

0:25:34 > 0:25:38London Fashion Week is full of buyers from the fashion world.

0:25:38 > 0:25:42Has Neetu's dress done enough to catch their critical eye?

0:25:42 > 0:25:45The design, the concept and the inspiration behind it, you can see.

0:25:45 > 0:25:47You show your love of fashion very much in the garment.

0:25:47 > 0:25:50The colour's very commercial, in terms of black can be a bit boring.

0:25:50 > 0:25:53The navy choice is actually really interesting

0:25:53 > 0:25:55and from a commercial way of doing traditional evening wear gown.

0:25:55 > 0:25:57Overall, it was beautiful.

0:25:57 > 0:26:00The seeming was beautiful. The detailing was gorgeous.

0:26:00 > 0:26:01- Thank you.- My pleasure.

0:26:01 > 0:26:04Congratulations. You've got a bright career ahead of you.

0:26:04 > 0:26:07I'm shocked that such professional people, buyers,

0:26:07 > 0:26:10can see it in stores in the future and in boutiques,

0:26:10 > 0:26:13so I'm really, really proud of myself.

0:26:13 > 0:26:15With a London Fashion Week hit on her hands,
