0:02:59 > 0:03:02My name's Harry and I've just been Turbo Boosted!

0:03:02 > 0:03:05Hello, I'm Harry Hilarious.

0:03:05 > 0:03:09This is my dad. He's a head teacher, so he's quite annoying.

0:03:09 > 0:03:14This is my mum who's always bugging me about having my room tidy.

0:03:14 > 0:03:15And this is my brother Thomas,

0:03:15 > 0:03:19- who thinks he is better than me at magic when he isn't.- Always.

0:03:19 > 0:03:23I love magic because I love to baffle and confuse people.

0:03:23 > 0:03:25Lewis, turn it over.

0:03:25 > 0:03:27Whoa!

0:03:27 > 0:03:30The look on their faces, it's really good.

0:03:30 > 0:03:32I am impressed with what he can do, cos I get baffled now.

0:03:32 > 0:03:34He does tricks and I'm struggling to work out

0:03:34 > 0:03:37how he manages it and he's only ten.

0:03:37 > 0:03:41Thomas demands attention. It's in his character.

0:03:41 > 0:03:42All I need is this bag.

0:03:44 > 0:03:46Harry's always fighting for attention.

0:03:46 > 0:03:49With his magic, he gets the attention,

0:03:49 > 0:03:51so that's where the magic fits it.

0:03:52 > 0:03:54Not on me!

0:03:54 > 0:03:57I've only performed in front of people like my family

0:03:57 > 0:04:00or people who live locally.

0:04:00 > 0:04:03Right then, Mark, I wondered if I could show you a trick today.

0:04:03 > 0:04:05I would really like to perform on a big stage

0:04:05 > 0:04:08in front of hundreds of people.

0:04:08 > 0:04:11Barney, do you want to see a trick? I'll take that as a yes.

0:04:11 > 0:04:14I think I need a boost, because my magic is good already

0:04:14 > 0:04:19but it could get better and I want to master the big illusions.

0:04:19 > 0:04:23The trick I would like to do most is saw the lady in half

0:04:23 > 0:04:27because it's achieving the impossible and that's why I like it so much.

0:04:27 > 0:04:30That's magic, but we don't need this, so...

0:04:33 > 0:04:36Harry's dream is to perform spectacular magic illusions

0:04:36 > 0:04:38in front of a huge audience.

0:04:38 > 0:04:42He'll have to work hard if he wants to pull off a jaw-dropping show

0:04:42 > 0:04:46at Britain's biggest kid's festival in just four weeks.

0:04:46 > 0:04:48And he's going to need some expert help.

0:04:50 > 0:04:54Harry, my pal, would you like to meet your mentor?

0:04:54 > 0:04:56Definitely.

0:04:56 > 0:04:59I am going to tell you now I know a little magic myself.

0:04:59 > 0:05:02When I click my fingers, he will appear before you.

0:05:07 > 0:05:10OK, there is a malfunction somewhere. I'll get it sorted.

0:05:10 > 0:05:13- Turbo, can I come out now? - Yes.

0:05:13 > 0:05:15- Hi, Harry. - Hello.

0:05:15 > 0:05:17- I'm Fergus. How you doing? - Really good.

0:05:18 > 0:05:22Fergus Flanagan is one of the UK's top magicians.

0:05:22 > 0:05:24As you can see, it's totally destroyed,

0:05:24 > 0:05:26so I can't read the message.

0:05:26 > 0:05:30And a star of CBBC's Help! My Supply Teacher's Magic.

0:05:30 > 0:05:31When we open up the time machine,

0:05:31 > 0:05:36there should be a fully formed piece of paper.

0:05:38 > 0:05:41He's the perfect mentor to give Harry plenty of expert training

0:05:41 > 0:05:44and to supersize his magic skills.

0:05:44 > 0:05:46Well, let's get cracking.

0:05:46 > 0:05:49Have you got anything on you today that you can show me?

0:05:49 > 0:05:52Harry demonstrates a sleight of hand illusion

0:05:52 > 0:05:55so Fergus can judge the level of this skills.

0:05:55 > 0:05:58What we're going to do with these two...

0:05:58 > 0:06:00One is going to go in my hand.

0:06:00 > 0:06:03This one, we're going to close your hand tight over it.

0:06:03 > 0:06:05I click my fingers, give it a little wave...

0:06:05 > 0:06:07My one disappears, check your hand.

0:06:07 > 0:06:10I've got two. Wow, that's lovely.

0:06:10 > 0:06:13Really good work and that is a classic of magic, of course.

0:06:13 > 0:06:15You are really likeable performing.

0:06:15 > 0:06:17You've got a real confidence.

0:06:17 > 0:06:20I can see a few things we can work on

0:06:20 > 0:06:22and once we've nailed those basics

0:06:22 > 0:06:24you will be ready to perform a big, big stunt.

0:06:24 > 0:06:26- How does that sound? - Really good.

0:06:30 > 0:06:33A magician must make the audience believe that

0:06:33 > 0:06:35what they see really is magic.

0:06:35 > 0:06:38Fergus wants to show Harry that even a simple card trick

0:06:38 > 0:06:40depends on capturing the audience.

0:06:40 > 0:06:45We have 52 cards and I would like you to take one out.

0:06:46 > 0:06:47Take any one you like.

0:06:48 > 0:06:52And I would like you to look at it and show it to the camera,

0:06:52 > 0:06:53I won't look.

0:06:53 > 0:06:55Here's what we're going to do...

0:06:55 > 0:06:59Place your card face down into the deck.

0:06:59 > 0:07:03I want you to imagine your card turning face up in the deck.

0:07:03 > 0:07:07Look what happens if I just rub the cards, just like this

0:07:07 > 0:07:10and snap my fingers, one card reverses.

0:07:10 > 0:07:14It's your card, four of clubs.

0:07:15 > 0:07:17Wow! How did Fergus do that?

0:07:17 > 0:07:21Well, pay attention, folks, here's how it's done.

0:07:21 > 0:07:24Firstly, Fergus takes the card at the bottom of the pack

0:07:24 > 0:07:26and turns it over.

0:07:26 > 0:07:30Then he spreads the deck so Harry can pick one.

0:07:30 > 0:07:33The next part of the trick is really important.

0:07:33 > 0:07:35At this point, Fergus distracts Harry

0:07:35 > 0:07:38by asking him to show the card to the camera.

0:07:38 > 0:07:43As Harry is distracted, Fergus turns the pack upside down in his hands.

0:07:43 > 0:07:46When I take the card back from you and place it into the deck,

0:07:46 > 0:07:48can you see what's happening?

0:07:48 > 0:07:53Your card is actually going back in face down into a face-up deck.

0:07:53 > 0:07:56Now for the crucial part of the trick.

0:07:56 > 0:07:58Fergus needs to distract Harry again

0:07:58 > 0:08:01so he can turn the deck over one final time.

0:08:03 > 0:08:05So when he goes through the pack,

0:08:05 > 0:08:07it looks like Harry's card has flipped over.

0:08:09 > 0:08:12Harry's learned the trick, but will work on total strangers?

0:08:12 > 0:08:16We're going straight to a nearby market to find out.

0:08:16 > 0:08:19This is the first time he's ever performed in public.

0:08:19 > 0:08:21Here, I've got a deck of cards.

0:08:21 > 0:08:22Can you just pick any card?

0:08:23 > 0:08:25He's away.

0:08:25 > 0:08:27Don't show me, show the camera.

0:08:28 > 0:08:34I need you to think of your card flipping over in the deck.

0:08:34 > 0:08:39When I click my fingers, when I go through the deck,

0:08:39 > 0:08:42your card is the only card turned over.

0:08:42 > 0:08:45The more he can engage and make contact,

0:08:45 > 0:08:49just helps bring people's attention away from what's actually going on.

0:08:49 > 0:08:52Show it to the camera.

0:08:52 > 0:08:54There he's made good eye contact.

0:08:54 > 0:08:57One card in the deck is turned over.

0:08:57 > 0:09:00Your card, the ace of clubs.

0:09:00 > 0:09:02Harry is doing well.

0:09:02 > 0:09:04He's showing control of the trick

0:09:04 > 0:09:08and distracting his audience at just the right moments.

0:09:08 > 0:09:12Here I've have a deck of cards, do you just want to choose one card?

0:09:12 > 0:09:15Look at it, but don't show me.

0:09:15 > 0:09:18I reckon this lady's going to be a bit tricky.

0:09:18 > 0:09:22I'm going to take it and put it face down in the deck.

0:09:22 > 0:09:25Sometimes the audience try to figure out the trick

0:09:25 > 0:09:27and it's up to the magician to distract them

0:09:27 > 0:09:30- from looking at the cards. - Now look at me.

0:09:30 > 0:09:33What we're going to do is, I want you...

0:09:33 > 0:09:36Harry has just broken one of the biggest rules in magic -

0:09:36 > 0:09:39he's had to tell the stall holder to look at his face

0:09:39 > 0:09:43rather than his hands and he just about pulls off the trick.

0:09:43 > 0:09:47Your card, the ace of spades.

0:09:47 > 0:09:50- I think she's impressed. - He's won her over, good man.

0:09:53 > 0:09:55That last attempt is still bothering Harry.

0:09:55 > 0:09:58What happened was, instead of looking at my face,

0:09:58 > 0:10:00they were looking at the cards.

0:10:00 > 0:10:01I had to say, "Look at my face."

0:10:01 > 0:10:05You want to try and get their attention towards your face

0:10:05 > 0:10:08but just through talking and making hand gestures.

0:10:08 > 0:10:13You've really got Harry's Turbo Boost off to a wand-erful start.

0:10:13 > 0:10:16Me, on the other hand - I still got to work on my own magic.

0:10:25 > 0:10:27When I was in the market place..

0:10:27 > 0:10:32I felt quite nervous as some points because when I was doing the trick

0:10:32 > 0:10:36they weren't always looking at my face when I needed them to.

0:10:36 > 0:10:40That was a bit hard, but some of them were really shocked.

0:10:41 > 0:10:43I think I'd say it went pretty well.

0:10:49 > 0:10:53Harry's skills of distraction need a boost if he's to wow a massive crowd

0:10:53 > 0:10:56at his final magic challenge in just a few weeks.

0:10:59 > 0:11:02Many magicians use comedy as part of their act,

0:11:02 > 0:11:05because a laughing audience pays less attention to

0:11:05 > 0:11:06the secrets of the illusion.

0:11:06 > 0:11:08For extra protection, we do have this shield.

0:11:08 > 0:11:10Well, that's at least kind of you.

0:11:10 > 0:11:11No, that's to protect me from the spray.

0:11:11 > 0:11:13This suit cost an absolute fortune.

0:11:13 > 0:11:16I'm taking Harry to the best in the business.

0:11:16 > 0:11:19This is top comedian Russell Kane.

0:11:19 > 0:11:20Top, top 20ish.

0:11:22 > 0:11:26Russell Kane is one of the hottest comedians in the UK right now.

0:11:29 > 0:11:33He's won two of the biggest awards in stand-up comedy

0:11:33 > 0:11:38and his national tours are seen by thousands of people.

0:11:39 > 0:11:42Today he's going to teach Harry some comedy skills

0:11:42 > 0:11:45that he can use in his final routine.

0:11:45 > 0:11:48I am guessing you need was of distracting people

0:11:48 > 0:11:49when you are doing tricks

0:11:49 > 0:11:52if you have to do a switch or hide a hand movement.

0:11:52 > 0:11:57A joke can be a brilliant way for people to forget about a card,

0:11:57 > 0:12:00a ring or an object or whatever.

0:12:00 > 0:12:05You and Russell are going to come up with a small little comedy piece

0:12:05 > 0:12:11and then you're going to perform that piece back to me and Russell.

0:12:11 > 0:12:14I'm going to leave you to it, I'm going to catch you in a bit.

0:12:16 > 0:12:20Slap, there you go. Oh....

0:12:20 > 0:12:23I would have gone for a handshake, but I'm old school.

0:12:23 > 0:12:25Comedy in a magician's routine

0:12:25 > 0:12:28is more than just a way to distract the audience.

0:12:28 > 0:12:31It also entertains the crowd, keeping them engaged

0:12:31 > 0:12:32throughout the whole show.

0:12:32 > 0:12:35- What's the animal? - A camel.

0:12:35 > 0:12:39That's remarkable, because I actually got...

0:12:39 > 0:12:42Harry needs to learn how to work comedy into his routine

0:12:42 > 0:12:46so he call pull off a top professional performance.

0:12:46 > 0:12:49Russell helps Harry brainstorm some ideas.

0:12:49 > 0:12:51So what you're going to do. You're going to say,

0:12:51 > 0:12:54"Yes, I am Harry, I am a boy wizard, not that one!"

0:12:54 > 0:12:57Quite annoyed, before anyone can say it.

0:12:57 > 0:12:59With the finger... "Not that one!"

0:13:00 > 0:13:03You could even say, "Plus, I don't fancy Hermione."

0:13:03 > 0:13:05If you like that. No?

0:13:05 > 0:13:06- Nah. - OK.

0:13:07 > 0:13:09Tough crowd.

0:13:09 > 0:13:12I thought he would just sit there and go, "What do I say? Tell me what to say?"

0:13:12 > 0:13:13He was fearless.

0:13:13 > 0:13:16In magic I like to make things disappear,

0:13:16 > 0:13:20and if this goes wrong, my career will disappear too.

0:13:20 > 0:13:22I think that's quite good.

0:13:22 > 0:13:25He was like, "That's not right. I'll do this. Here's my ideas."

0:13:25 > 0:13:28As soon as you put a bit of ownership on something,

0:13:28 > 0:13:31when you speak it, it comes out of your mouth more naturally.

0:13:31 > 0:13:33You deliver the joke like this.

0:13:33 > 0:13:35Why did the magician cross the road?

0:13:35 > 0:13:36He didn't, it was an illusion.

0:13:39 > 0:13:42If it doesn't work or anything, have lines like,

0:13:42 > 0:13:45"I'll take awkward, that's fine."

0:13:45 > 0:13:46- Things like that. - Yeah.

0:13:46 > 0:13:51- You happy with that?- Or something like, "Tough crowd."- Yeah.

0:13:51 > 0:13:54Now then, why am I here tonight?

0:13:54 > 0:13:58After a short rehearsal it's game time and as well as me

0:13:58 > 0:14:01and Russell, I've invited a local audience for Harry to perform to.

0:14:03 > 0:14:07Whooping and cheering, stamping your feet and welcome to the stage...

0:14:07 > 0:14:09Harry Hilarious.

0:14:09 > 0:14:12Will he be able to pull off the jokes and wow the crowd?

0:14:13 > 0:14:16You over there, keep clapping. Louder, louder.

0:14:20 > 0:14:24Hello, my name is Harry and I'm a boy wizard.

0:14:24 > 0:14:25No, not that one.

0:14:27 > 0:14:29Good start, Harry,

0:14:29 > 0:14:32great delivery and everyone's laughing straight away.

0:14:32 > 0:14:35Why did the magician cross the road?

0:14:35 > 0:14:38He didn't, it was all an illusion.

0:14:40 > 0:14:42Harry's taken on Russell's advice

0:14:42 > 0:14:46and is giving us a flawless and funny performance.

0:14:46 > 0:14:50Magic is as real as the tooth fairy.

0:14:52 > 0:14:55We wrote the joke about the tooth fairy

0:14:55 > 0:14:58and then he improved it by adding what we call a topper in comedy,

0:14:58 > 0:15:00the bit at the end about the Easter Bunny.

0:15:00 > 0:15:03I got Easter eggs, so I know that the bunny is real.

0:15:03 > 0:15:05Win, win.

0:15:05 > 0:15:09The fact that the highest moment of the whole set was his addition

0:15:09 > 0:15:12is something he should be very proud of.

0:15:12 > 0:15:13And I should be utterly ashamed.

0:15:13 > 0:15:14Thank you.

0:15:22 > 0:15:25It's been two weeks since Harry began his magical Turbo Boost.

0:15:25 > 0:15:27He's conjuring his way to success,

0:15:27 > 0:15:30but for his final performance, he'll have to command

0:15:30 > 0:15:34the attention of a large crowd with just his magic and comedy,

0:15:34 > 0:15:37so we've come up with a supersized plan.

0:15:44 > 0:15:46For Harry's mini challenge,

0:15:46 > 0:15:49we head to London's most popular destination for street artists,

0:15:49 > 0:15:51Covent Garden,

0:15:51 > 0:15:54where Harry will perform his own routine to shoppers and tourists.

0:15:54 > 0:15:57Pif, paf, pof!

0:15:57 > 0:15:59To compete with all the other entertainers,

0:15:59 > 0:16:01Harry's combined some of his favourites

0:16:01 > 0:16:04with the new card trick that Fergus taught him.

0:16:04 > 0:16:05Same one. Pow.

0:16:05 > 0:16:09As well as some Russell Kane-inspired comedy.

0:16:09 > 0:16:13If this goes badly today, then my whole career will disappear too.

0:16:15 > 0:16:18Fergus, what are the challenges with performing at a place like this?

0:16:18 > 0:16:21Well, Covent Garden is obviously known for the area

0:16:21 > 0:16:23where street performers come to,

0:16:23 > 0:16:24so you are going to have a big crowd,

0:16:24 > 0:16:27you're going to have to get people involved,

0:16:27 > 0:16:29so it's going to be really tough but great challenge.

0:16:29 > 0:16:33Has Harry learnt from all the advice that Fergus and Russell gave him?

0:16:33 > 0:16:36Will he be able to impress a tough London crowd?

0:16:36 > 0:16:38Are you nervous for him?

0:16:38 > 0:16:39Yeah, absolutely.

0:16:39 > 0:16:42- What's your name? - Alfie.

0:16:42 > 0:16:45Now then, Alfie, here I have a deck of cards.

0:16:45 > 0:16:47Anything special about it?

0:16:47 > 0:16:49He's just performing to that boy.

0:16:49 > 0:16:52He's got a whole crowd.

0:16:52 > 0:16:56One goes into my hand and the other one goes into your hand.

0:16:56 > 0:16:58Close your hand tight.

0:16:58 > 0:17:04People here aren't getting hyped up enough. It's getting to him.

0:17:04 > 0:17:06It's making his tempo rushed a bit.

0:17:06 > 0:17:09For that final challenge, he can't let that get to him.

0:17:09 > 0:17:15Imagine your card, just your card turning over.

0:17:15 > 0:17:19That's good. I thought he might panic at that bit, but he hasn't.

0:17:19 > 0:17:21Pull a silly face.

0:17:21 > 0:17:22Show it to everyone.

0:17:22 > 0:17:26After a bumpy start, Harry finally finds his pace.

0:17:26 > 0:17:28The king of spades, was that your card?

0:17:28 > 0:17:34That compared to how he did it when I last saw him, totally different.

0:17:34 > 0:17:36Much more relaxed, much more direct.

0:17:38 > 0:17:39One, two, three.

0:17:42 > 0:17:47Unfortunately, my show's ended.

0:17:47 > 0:17:48CROWD: Aw.

0:17:48 > 0:17:49It's sadder than that!

0:17:49 > 0:17:51CROWD: AWW!

0:17:51 > 0:17:54If you've liked me, I've been Harry Hilarious.

0:17:54 > 0:17:56If you didn't like me, I'm Fergus Flanagan.

0:17:56 > 0:17:59And if you really didn't like me, I'm Turbo.

0:17:59 > 0:18:03The audience stayed with him, and his mentor Fergus is impressed.

0:18:03 > 0:18:06- Yes, well done, mate. - Well done.

0:18:06 > 0:18:11You've just walked out, done a set on Magic Corner at ten years old.

0:18:11 > 0:18:13That is absolutely mind-blowing impressive.

0:18:13 > 0:18:14High five, put it there.

0:18:14 > 0:18:18Well done. I've been giving you a lot of smaller tricks to work with

0:18:18 > 0:18:22but your final challenge is going to be on a bigger scale.

0:18:22 > 0:18:25What I'd like to do now is give you something that's a bit more visual,

0:18:25 > 0:18:27a bit bigger to work with,

0:18:27 > 0:18:30and transfer those skills you've learnt on a close up basis

0:18:30 > 0:18:31onto the big stage.

0:18:37 > 0:18:41So what I'm going to teach you is a classic of magic.

0:18:41 > 0:18:43It's called the Professor's Nightmare.

0:18:43 > 0:18:46Fergus thinks Harry needs a super boost to his tricks

0:18:46 > 0:18:50so it's time to add another string to his magic bow.

0:18:50 > 0:18:54This is an old-school illusion where three different sized ropes

0:18:54 > 0:18:57are magically made the same size.

0:18:57 > 0:19:00- You got it?- Yep. - So you're ready to try it?- Yep.

0:19:00 > 0:19:01Spot on, let's do it.

0:19:01 > 0:19:04With this trick it's really important that Harry keeps hold of

0:19:04 > 0:19:08the ropes at all times to keep the illusion a secret.

0:19:11 > 0:19:12Nearly.

0:19:12 > 0:19:14That last bit's causing a few problems.

0:19:14 > 0:19:17That's all right, we just need to practise that.

0:19:17 > 0:19:19At the moment Harry's having difficulty with that last

0:19:19 > 0:19:22part of the trick, he keeps dropping the ropes.

0:19:22 > 0:19:25If he does that on the day, that will ruin the trick

0:19:25 > 0:19:27and it will be a total disaster.

0:19:30 > 0:19:33The rope trick that Fergus taught me.

0:19:33 > 0:19:35I was dropping them.

0:19:35 > 0:19:37But now we've practised, practised, practised...

0:19:37 > 0:19:40One, two, three.

0:19:40 > 0:19:43..I think I'll be able to do it. Let's go!

0:19:45 > 0:19:46Just a week to go

0:19:46 > 0:19:49and it's time to tell Harry how big his performance is

0:19:49 > 0:19:51and what he needs to do to prepare.

0:19:51 > 0:19:56Harry, I'm about to tell you what your final challenge is.

0:19:56 > 0:19:58OK.

0:19:58 > 0:20:02You are going to be performing on the main stage at the biggest

0:20:02 > 0:20:05children's festival in the UK.

0:20:05 > 0:20:07OK.

0:20:07 > 0:20:09There is an additional big magic trick

0:20:09 > 0:20:13that you also will be performing as well.

0:20:13 > 0:20:15How does that make you feel, bro?

0:20:15 > 0:20:16Excited.

0:20:16 > 0:20:18Are you going to be practising extra hard?

0:20:18 > 0:20:21- Yes. - How hard are you going to work?

0:20:21 > 0:20:24- Very. - Take care, peace.- Bye.

0:20:25 > 0:20:27Just under four weeks ago,

0:20:27 > 0:20:31I Turbo Boosted ten-year-old Harry and his magic.

0:20:31 > 0:20:34With the help of top magician Fergus Flanagan

0:20:34 > 0:20:37and some comedy inspiration from Russell Kane,

0:20:37 > 0:20:40Harry has mastered the art of sleight of hand trickery

0:20:40 > 0:20:41and distraction.

0:20:41 > 0:20:45But will Harry succeed in his first professional performance,

0:20:45 > 0:20:49or will his magic career vanish in a puff of smoke?

0:20:54 > 0:20:57It's the morning of Harry's final challenge

0:20:57 > 0:21:00and we've come to LolliBop festival in London.

0:21:00 > 0:21:05It's the UK's biggest ever festival for kids with 40,000 visitors

0:21:05 > 0:21:09coming to see some of the biggest names in children's entertainment.

0:21:10 > 0:21:14If you were to take a look right behind you...

0:21:14 > 0:21:16that is the stage that you are going to be performing on

0:21:16 > 0:21:20in front of a whole field full of people.

0:21:20 > 0:21:22Have you ever performed on a stage that big

0:21:22 > 0:21:25- with that many people watching you? - Not at all, no.

0:21:25 > 0:21:28I just felt so excited when I saw the stage.

0:21:28 > 0:21:31The nerves are starting to kick in now.

0:21:31 > 0:21:33Harry may have seen where he's going to perform,

0:21:33 > 0:21:37but his routine is still missing a grand illusion.

0:21:37 > 0:21:39With just hours to go, he needs to learn his big,

0:21:39 > 0:21:41show-stopping set piece.

0:21:41 > 0:21:43Harry, how you doing, my man?

0:21:43 > 0:21:45Turbo, nice to see you again.

0:21:45 > 0:21:47Harry, are you ready to learn your last trick?

0:21:47 > 0:21:48- Definitely. - Cool.

0:21:48 > 0:21:51I know there's something you really want to do

0:21:51 > 0:21:53and I've sorted that out for you today.

0:21:53 > 0:21:56Turbo, magicians don't share their secrets,

0:21:56 > 0:21:58so this one's magicians only.

0:21:58 > 0:22:00- See you later. - Bye.

0:22:00 > 0:22:05Oh, I get it, that's cool, I know the drill.

0:22:05 > 0:22:07Magicians only, yeah? That's fine.

0:22:07 > 0:22:10Harry's dream illusion is to chop the lady in half,

0:22:10 > 0:22:13and today he's going to do just that.

0:22:13 > 0:22:15You've actually got to shoot it through that slot.

0:22:19 > 0:22:21You have to do that blind, basically.

0:22:21 > 0:22:24This grand illusion needs to be picked up quickly,

0:22:24 > 0:22:25because if Harry doesn't get it right,

0:22:25 > 0:22:31he'll not only lose the crowd but can even hurt his assistant inside.

0:22:31 > 0:22:33When you put it in, do it gently.

0:22:33 > 0:22:36You push it in at an odd angle.

0:22:37 > 0:22:39I can do what they're doing.

0:22:39 > 0:22:41Look, I'm going to make this flower disappear.

0:22:41 > 0:22:42Right before your eyes.

0:22:42 > 0:22:44Look, see, gone, no more flower.

0:22:46 > 0:22:50Backstage, Harry bumps into CBBC's Dick and Dom,

0:22:50 > 0:22:53who want to hear all about his grand final trick.

0:22:53 > 0:22:55Before I used to do certain tricks on stage,

0:22:55 > 0:22:58I used to practise for a year beforehand.

0:22:58 > 0:23:00How long have you been doing this trick?

0:23:00 > 0:23:02A few hours.

0:23:02 > 0:23:04Are you serious?

0:23:04 > 0:23:07And I've only practised twice with an assistant in the box.

0:23:07 > 0:23:11I don't know who I feel more sorry for, you or your assistant.

0:23:11 > 0:23:13- Good luck, Harry. - Thanks.

0:23:17 > 0:23:18It's showtime.

0:23:18 > 0:23:21Four weeks of training comes down to this,

0:23:21 > 0:23:24and the nerves are starting to get to Harry.

0:23:24 > 0:23:29I'm most worried about it going completely wrong.

0:23:29 > 0:23:34His family are in the crowd. Fergus has delivered his final pep talk.

0:23:34 > 0:23:35They're going to absolutely love it.

0:23:35 > 0:23:37I hope so.

0:23:37 > 0:23:41And all that's left is for me to introduce the main man.

0:23:41 > 0:23:43Hi, guys, how you doing?

0:23:45 > 0:23:49Please give me a big round of applause for Harry Hilarious!

0:23:51 > 0:23:53Hello, everybody. Hello.

0:23:55 > 0:23:57This is the biggest show I've ever done.

0:23:57 > 0:23:59My heart is going a million miles an hour.

0:23:59 > 0:24:01I need to warm up.

0:24:01 > 0:24:04Sorry about this.

0:24:04 > 0:24:06Harry's got off to a great start,

0:24:06 > 0:24:08using his comedy to get the crowd going.

0:24:10 > 0:24:11That's better.

0:24:11 > 0:24:15That's a nice bit to get everyone cheered up, a bit of energy.

0:24:15 > 0:24:19You can see I've got one medium, one long and one short piece of rope.

0:24:19 > 0:24:21It's time for the rope trick.

0:24:21 > 0:24:23Will he be able to hold on to the ropes

0:24:23 > 0:24:26and carry it off without any mistakes?

0:24:26 > 0:24:29Third piece of rope, gather it up.

0:24:29 > 0:24:30If you all blow on it.

0:24:33 > 0:24:38And they stretch to three medium size pieces.

0:24:38 > 0:24:40This is the moment of truth, this is the hard bit now.

0:24:40 > 0:24:42So far, so good.

0:24:42 > 0:24:45Harry just needs to stay focused and finish the trick.

0:24:45 > 0:24:49So I take this rope and go 1, 2, 3. Bam!

0:24:49 > 0:24:50Perfect, perfect.

0:24:50 > 0:24:54He did it! His routine has been flawless.

0:24:54 > 0:24:57Can he top it off by nailing his grand illusion?

0:24:57 > 0:24:58Are you ready?

0:24:58 > 0:24:59CROWD CHEER

0:24:59 > 0:25:03Remember, Harry has only just learnt how to saw a lady in half.

0:25:03 > 0:25:08Pulling this off without a mistake is going to be a massive challenge.

0:25:08 > 0:25:10Everyone say bye to Gemma.

0:25:10 > 0:25:12ALL: Bye, Gemma!

0:25:12 > 0:25:14Harry's assistant Gemma gets into the box

0:25:14 > 0:25:16and places her hand through the hole.

0:25:16 > 0:25:20Gemma, do you want to put your hand through there?

0:25:20 > 0:25:24Now who wants to see something dangerous?

0:25:24 > 0:25:26Now it's all on Harry.

0:25:26 > 0:25:30Here I have a big blade

0:25:30 > 0:25:33which is going to go into the box

0:25:33 > 0:25:35with Gemma in it.

0:25:35 > 0:25:38This illusion is the hardest of Harry's tricks.

0:25:38 > 0:25:40It's testing all his skills,

0:25:40 > 0:25:42his technique, distraction

0:25:42 > 0:25:46and showmanship all have to be spot on to pull this off.

0:25:46 > 0:25:49It's a world away from the small tricks he was performing

0:25:49 > 0:25:50before his Turbo Boost.

0:25:51 > 0:25:53Nail that blade in the back.

0:25:55 > 0:25:57Steel blade into the box.

0:26:00 > 0:26:02Harry is doing great, but it's not over yet.

0:26:02 > 0:26:04Now for the crucial bit.

0:26:07 > 0:26:12There's nothing in the box.

0:26:12 > 0:26:14Harry has smashed it.

0:26:14 > 0:26:16All that's left to see if Gemma is in one piece.

0:26:16 > 0:26:19When I open the box...

0:26:19 > 0:26:23Get in! That is a professional performance, my friends!

0:26:27 > 0:26:30He went out and absolutely smashed it in front of loads of people.

0:26:30 > 0:26:34He did so well. He should be really proud.

0:26:34 > 0:26:38It's not just me and Fergus who want to big up his performance.

0:26:38 > 0:26:40Team Harry were pretty impressed too.

0:26:40 > 0:26:43Harry, well done, you were fantastic.

0:26:43 > 0:26:45Really, really good.

0:26:45 > 0:26:49He went out there today with no fear, no nerves

0:26:49 > 0:26:51and just put on a really good show.

0:26:51 > 0:26:53I have been totally Turbo Boosted.

0:26:53 > 0:26:57Only four weeks ago I was just performing to my friends and family.

0:26:57 > 0:26:59It's been brilliant.

0:26:59 > 0:27:01Harry, well done.

0:27:07 > 0:27:10Harry was an absolute star on that stage.

0:27:10 > 0:27:13He's worked so, so hard throughout his Turbo Boost.

0:27:13 > 0:27:17I'm sure this is just the beginning for Harry Hilarious.

0:27:17 > 0:27:18And do you know what?

0:27:18 > 0:27:20I think he might have taught me a thing or two.

0:27:22 > 0:27:23It worked!
