0:00:59 > 0:01:01Today we're going to learn Frisbee,

0:01:01 > 0:01:03my all-time favourite dog sport.

0:01:03 > 0:01:06I'm really looking forward to this one.

0:01:06 > 0:01:08In this challenge,

0:01:08 > 0:01:11the dogs must learn to catch a Frisbee mid-air.

0:01:11 > 0:01:13Each catch will count for one point.

0:01:13 > 0:01:17However, if the dogs manage to make a catch over the 10-metre line,

0:01:17 > 0:01:20they'll get two points per catch.

0:01:20 > 0:01:24For Frisbee, I need three agile, play-motivated dogs.

0:01:24 > 0:01:29High energy is good, and a great relationship is essential.

0:01:29 > 0:01:31That's exactly what I was looking for at the tryouts.

0:01:38 > 0:01:41Over 400 kids brought their dogs to the tryouts.

0:01:42 > 0:01:44What a sweet dog.

0:01:44 > 0:01:46All hoping Zak would take them to the Doghouse

0:01:46 > 0:01:48- to learn an incredible stunt. - Very good.

0:01:48 > 0:01:51We saw walking dogs...

0:02:20 > 0:02:21Mist, sit.

0:02:21 > 0:02:23Stay.

0:02:23 > 0:02:26Jake was inspired by weather when naming Mist. He liked the name Sky,

0:02:26 > 0:02:29but thought it sounded a bit girly. So he called him Mist.

0:02:29 > 0:02:31That was a really good stay.

0:02:31 > 0:02:35Jake came to the tryouts wearing what he described as his lucky hat.

0:02:35 > 0:02:39I would like to teach him to catch a Frisbee.

0:02:39 > 0:02:41See if he'll play with this.

0:02:41 > 0:02:43Zak thought he came alive when he played with toys.

0:02:43 > 0:02:46Will the sky be the limit for Misty McFrisbee?

0:02:46 > 0:02:49- Yes. As long as they don't break it. - It doesn't break easy.

0:03:12 > 0:03:16Max never goes anywhere without his backpack.

0:03:16 > 0:03:17What's he got in the backpack?

0:03:17 > 0:03:20He's got water in one side and a purse in the other.

0:03:20 > 0:03:22His main motivation is what?

0:03:22 > 0:03:24He likes treats the most,

0:03:24 > 0:03:27but he loves his Frisbee as well.

0:03:27 > 0:03:28OK, that's interesting.

0:03:28 > 0:03:32Zak loved how focused and energetic Max was,

0:03:32 > 0:03:35but will he stop chewing and start catching the Frisbee?

0:03:35 > 0:03:37Keep it on the carpet. Please do that again.

0:03:37 > 0:03:39My name's Molly, and this is Indy,

0:03:39 > 0:03:41and I'm from Exeter.

0:03:41 > 0:03:44Why do you want to come to the Doghouse?

0:03:44 > 0:03:47Everyone will like to see Indy's tricks, and everyone will like him.

0:03:47 > 0:03:48Shake!

0:03:48 > 0:03:50- Molly is 11. Indiana is 3.- Lie down.

0:03:50 > 0:03:53- She nicknamed him Indy for short. - Good boy.

0:03:57 > 0:03:59Molly describes Indy as lovable,

0:03:59 > 0:04:03and says he's so friendly that when anyone's sad, he cheers them up.

0:04:03 > 0:04:06Molly and Indy love watching TV together,

0:04:18 > 0:04:19Or I can't!

0:04:19 > 0:04:22Zak thought Molly and Indiana had great attitude,

0:04:22 > 0:04:25and as Labradoodles love to play and learn,

0:04:25 > 0:04:27Frisbee could be the perfect trick for this team.

0:04:27 > 0:04:29- Oh!- You wish.

0:04:29 > 0:04:30Indy!

0:04:30 > 0:04:32So, Jake and Mist,

0:04:32 > 0:04:33Hannah and Max,

0:04:42 > 0:04:44and the winner will take home this,

0:04:44 > 0:04:46the Who Let The Dogs Out? Top Dog Trophy.

0:04:50 > 0:04:52# Who let the dogs out? #

0:04:59 > 0:05:00Training Day One.

0:05:00 > 0:05:03Jake, Hannah and Molly are about to find out

0:05:03 > 0:05:05what trick they're going to learn.

0:05:05 > 0:05:06How we doing?

0:05:06 > 0:05:09You are going to be teaching your dogs

0:05:09 > 0:05:11how to play Frisbee.

0:05:11 > 0:05:15- Wicked.- Yay! - Ready to learn how to do this?- Yeah.

0:05:15 > 0:05:18The first thing we have to do when teaching a dog to play Frisbee

0:05:18 > 0:05:20is get them interested in Frisbee.

0:05:20 > 0:05:23So, what I like to do is get on the ground with them.

0:05:23 > 0:05:24So let's get down on the ground.

0:05:24 > 0:05:28Let's get them interested by moving it around. Let's get into it.

0:05:28 > 0:05:32Now, we've already seen that Jake's dog Mist gets pretty excited

0:05:32 > 0:05:33when Frisbees are about.

0:05:33 > 0:05:34Mist is the youngest dog,

0:05:34 > 0:05:38so will he be able to pay attention and learn this trick?

0:05:38 > 0:05:39Hmmm.

0:05:39 > 0:05:42Now, let me see this Frisbee for a second.

0:05:42 > 0:05:44Looks like you're doing pretty well.

0:05:44 > 0:05:46You got a lot of holes...

0:05:46 > 0:05:49- Yeah.- ..in the Frisbee here.

0:05:49 > 0:05:52- Which is kind of good, it means Mist is really into it.- Yeah.

0:05:52 > 0:05:53Come on, Mist.

0:05:54 > 0:05:57Get the Frisbee.

0:05:57 > 0:05:58Awesome. Very good, Jake.

0:05:58 > 0:06:01Max is having problems!

0:06:01 > 0:06:04We heard at tryouts that his most loved toy is his blue Frisbee.

0:06:04 > 0:06:07Hannah and Zak must find a way to make him part with it

0:06:07 > 0:06:09for a special Doghouse Frisbee.

0:06:09 > 0:06:11It's OK. Let go.

0:06:11 > 0:06:12Let go.

0:06:12 > 0:06:14Ah-ah. No.

0:06:14 > 0:06:16He's like, "I'm not letting go of my Frisbee."

0:06:16 > 0:06:19OK, we'll go to Plan B. Do you have any treats on you?

0:06:19 > 0:06:21We're trying to get him to let go.

0:06:21 > 0:06:25- Maybe if we put the hot dog in his mouth...- Yeah.

0:06:25 > 0:06:27Do you see that?

0:06:27 > 0:06:29The hot dog in his mouth -

0:06:29 > 0:06:31and he's not budging.

0:06:31 > 0:06:35It's Zak's double turkey portions that finally make the breakthrough.

0:06:35 > 0:06:38Yes! Good boy! Awesome!

0:06:38 > 0:06:39Yes.

0:06:39 > 0:06:42Now, we've seen Indiana can play Frisbee,

0:06:42 > 0:06:44so Molly shouldn't find it hard

0:06:44 > 0:06:48training him to catch them from a further distance than in tryouts.

0:06:48 > 0:06:51Let's learn how to teach our dogs to take a Frisbee now.

0:06:51 > 0:06:55What does that mean? We don't want them going for it without permission.

0:06:55 > 0:06:58Indiana! Getting interest, getting interest...

0:06:59 > 0:07:00Take it.

0:07:00 > 0:07:05We wait until our dog actually takes the Frisbee before we say "take it."

0:07:05 > 0:07:07Good. Oh my gosh, she just caught it!

0:07:07 > 0:07:11I instinctively threw it up and she caught it out of the air.

0:07:11 > 0:07:12That was cool. It was excellent.

0:07:12 > 0:07:16Come here, Mist. Take it.

0:07:16 > 0:07:17Yes! Good.

0:07:17 > 0:07:18OK. Ah-ah.

0:07:18 > 0:07:20Yes! Good. Wonderful.

0:07:20 > 0:07:23You can see we're succeeding in actually making the Frisbee a reward.

0:07:25 > 0:07:28Max is refusing to take the Doghouse Frisbee,

0:07:28 > 0:07:31- but Hannah has come up with a plan. - You put a treat in there?- Yeah.

0:07:31 > 0:07:34You are thinking. I like you. You are a thinker.

0:07:34 > 0:07:37You associate treats with the Frisbee - "This is a fun thing!

0:07:37 > 0:07:39"Look, it gives food".

0:07:39 > 0:07:41Gah! Max is still rejecting the new Frisbee.

0:07:41 > 0:07:43That's what you want to build on.

0:07:43 > 0:07:45Get to work.

0:07:45 > 0:07:47# Who let the dogs out?

0:07:49 > 0:07:52Frisbee is a whole lot of fun,

0:07:52 > 0:07:55but it's probably not the most useful trick in the world.

0:07:55 > 0:07:57Here are some dogs who have learned to have fun

0:07:57 > 0:07:59and help out at the same time.

0:08:04 > 0:08:07Hey ho, a dog's work is never done.

0:08:07 > 0:08:09There's the house to tidy,

0:08:09 > 0:08:12socks to put in drawers,

0:08:12 > 0:08:15then there's the shopping.

0:08:16 > 0:08:17A-tchoo!

0:08:17 > 0:08:21- There's looking after your trainer. - Thank you, Lily.

0:08:24 > 0:08:27Who's not very hygienic. Eugh.

0:08:27 > 0:08:29So how's the shopping going?

0:08:29 > 0:08:32Pop off and get me a drink in a purple carton, would you please?

0:08:32 > 0:08:35The dog's world is full of Gok Wans.

0:08:35 > 0:08:37"Lose the jacket, girlfriend."

0:08:37 > 0:08:39Now we're going on holiday,

0:08:39 > 0:08:42so it's important to turn out the lights, please. Thank you.

0:08:42 > 0:08:45And pack only what you need.

0:08:45 > 0:08:47Hey! You're not my underpants!

0:08:47 > 0:08:50Brilliant! You've got my drink.

0:08:54 > 0:08:58There are certain jobs that only a dog can do,

0:08:58 > 0:09:01like saving a drowning carrot.

0:09:01 > 0:09:04There. Now, off to make some soup.

0:09:04 > 0:09:06Our soup dog did well.

0:09:06 > 0:09:07Give him some money.

0:09:07 > 0:09:09COINS CLINK

0:09:11 > 0:09:14Yeah, dogs can be pretty helpful.

0:09:15 > 0:09:18But, uh...not this one.

0:09:18 > 0:09:21And if you're wondering how to get a dog to do tricks...

0:09:21 > 0:09:23...hypnosis.

0:09:23 > 0:09:27- (SINISTER VOICE)- Yes, you're now under the doggy's power.

0:09:27 > 0:09:30Look at his eyyyy... Oh, the picture's gone.

0:09:30 > 0:09:34# Who let the dogs out? # WOOF, WOOF

0:09:34 > 0:09:37Still to come, we've got some pampered pups,

0:09:37 > 0:09:39Zach's quick trick,

0:09:39 > 0:09:43and we'll find out who wins the Who Let The Dogs Out Top Dog Trophy.

0:09:45 > 0:09:48All right, guys, we're going to move on to the next step.

0:09:48 > 0:09:52We're going to roll the Frisbee on the ground. What we do -

0:09:52 > 0:09:53we simply make a muscle

0:09:53 > 0:09:55and roll it, like that.

0:09:55 > 0:09:59That teaches them to follow it on the ground. Look at the interest.

0:09:59 > 0:10:01Wonderful work.

0:10:01 > 0:10:03No problems for Molly and Indiana. Good work.

0:10:03 > 0:10:05Roll it like this.

0:10:05 > 0:10:07Then give him some, let him chase it.

0:10:07 > 0:10:10Let go, let go a little bit, not all the way. Good, good.

0:10:10 > 0:10:13Hannah! Zak said roll it, not throw it.

0:10:13 > 0:10:17Once they get it like that, once they chase that rolling Frisbee,

0:10:17 > 0:10:19we want them to bring it back.

0:10:19 > 0:10:20So, we want to run from them.

0:10:20 > 0:10:22Wait to get the attention. Now run.

0:10:22 > 0:10:26Good, come on. See that? Beautiful. That's how we teach to retrieve.

0:10:26 > 0:10:28Dogs love to chase.

0:10:28 > 0:10:33Jake is having problems with Mist's concentration.

0:10:33 > 0:10:36He seemed interested in the Frisbee at first,

0:10:36 > 0:10:41but then he's got more interested in the surroundings.

0:10:41 > 0:10:44When our dogs get bored in the beginning with Frisbee, guess what?

0:10:44 > 0:10:46That's completely normal.

0:10:46 > 0:10:50We have to continue to build their interest over time.

0:10:50 > 0:10:54- Max seems to be giving the Frisbee too much attention.- Go! Run!

0:10:54 > 0:10:55See how dogs love to chase?

0:10:55 > 0:10:59Good. He let go, he went to you. See if you can get the Frisbee back.

0:10:59 > 0:11:01- Max! Sit.- He won't give it back!

0:11:01 > 0:11:03- Let me see happiness.- Max, drop it!

0:11:03 > 0:11:07In your case, you have to work out how to manage his interest in it.

0:11:07 > 0:11:10You guys have done a fantastic job.

0:11:10 > 0:11:12I want you to continue to train.

0:11:12 > 0:11:14- Keep up the good work. See you tomorrow.- Bye!

0:11:14 > 0:11:18Mist, Max and Indiana are similar sizes,

0:11:18 > 0:11:21but they have completely different characteristics.

0:11:21 > 0:11:23Let's take a look at their mutt measurements.

0:11:23 > 0:11:26# Who let the dogs out? #

0:11:26 > 0:11:28Mist is a border collie.

0:11:28 > 0:11:30They're clever, fast, and focused,

0:11:30 > 0:11:32so they make great Frisbee dogs.

0:11:32 > 0:11:35Mist's hobby is to chew slippers

0:11:35 > 0:11:38and he's ruined all of Jake's family's slipper collection.

0:11:38 > 0:11:41His favourite game is hide and seek.

0:11:41 > 0:11:42Let's hope he does less hiding

0:11:42 > 0:11:44than seeking that Frisbee.

0:11:44 > 0:11:45Next up, we have Max.

0:11:45 > 0:11:48He's a German Shepherd mixed with border collie.

0:11:48 > 0:11:50German shepherds are strong, smart

0:11:50 > 0:11:52and often used as police dogs.

0:11:52 > 0:11:55Max's party trick is that he can pull socks off everyone's feet.

0:11:55 > 0:11:58After he's pulled off a sock, he does a dance.

0:11:58 > 0:12:01Will Max be able to swap socks in his mouth for Frisbees

0:12:01 > 0:12:03when it comes to showtime?

0:12:03 > 0:12:04Only time will tell.

0:12:04 > 0:12:07And finally, here's Indiana.

0:12:15 > 0:12:17that he's had since he was a puppy.

0:12:17 > 0:12:20Indy's most loved pastime is running around the house madly.

0:12:20 > 0:12:22Will he have the same energy

0:12:22 > 0:12:24running to catch some Frisbees?

0:12:32 > 0:12:34It's Training Day Two,

0:12:34 > 0:12:37and there are some misdemeanours in the field.

0:12:37 > 0:12:41Mist has finally started to love Frisbees...

0:12:41 > 0:12:42all of them.

0:12:42 > 0:12:44- Mist has the wrong Frisbee!- Mist!

0:12:44 > 0:12:47She has taken the Frisbees from the other dogs.

0:12:47 > 0:12:51What's been the most challenging thing for you in practice so far?

0:12:55 > 0:12:57Come on! Go fetch.

0:12:57 > 0:12:59Mist! Get the Frisbee.

0:13:01 > 0:13:02Play Frisbee, Mist.

0:13:03 > 0:13:05Will Mist ever be able to focus?

0:13:05 > 0:13:08He's still easily distracted,

0:13:08 > 0:13:10especially by other dogs' Frisbees.

0:13:10 > 0:13:11- Mist!- This isn't yours.

0:13:11 > 0:13:14Mist! Come on!

0:13:14 > 0:13:17How did practice go yesterday? What did you have trouble with?

0:13:17 > 0:13:21I had the most trouble with Max biting the Frisbee.

0:13:21 > 0:13:22Sit. Good boy.

0:13:22 > 0:13:24Max! Frisbees aren't that tasty.

0:13:24 > 0:13:26Max, drop.

0:13:26 > 0:13:27Show me real quick, real quick.

0:13:27 > 0:13:29- Come on, Max.- Good, good.

0:13:29 > 0:13:31- Come, Max.- Let me see him let go.

0:13:31 > 0:13:33Good boy, Max. Drop.

0:13:33 > 0:13:37He loves chewing the Frisbee so much he's not giving it back to Hannah.

0:13:37 > 0:13:39They'll not get many throws in at showtime

0:13:39 > 0:13:42if Max doesn't retrieve the Frisbee.

0:13:42 > 0:13:45- How we doing, Molly? - I'm good, thank you.- Very good.

0:13:45 > 0:13:48So, what have you been succeeding the most with in practice?

0:13:48 > 0:13:52Probably getting him to just focus his attention.

0:13:52 > 0:13:54Sit.

0:13:54 > 0:13:58Perfect attention, perfect drooling.

0:13:58 > 0:14:01Perfect Frisbee retrieval. Good dog.

0:14:01 > 0:14:02Beautiful.

0:14:02 > 0:14:04OK, have him bring it back.

0:14:04 > 0:14:06If he lets go, I'll be thrilled.

0:14:06 > 0:14:09- Drop! Good boy.- A plus. Beautiful.

0:14:09 > 0:14:12Zak has a solution for Jake and Mist's problems.

0:14:12 > 0:14:16What I think you've got to do is pick up that energy level,

0:14:16 > 0:14:19be more playful. You're in good shape, you like to play?

0:14:19 > 0:14:21- Yeah.- So do dogs. You're a good team.

0:14:21 > 0:14:24- We're going to move onto the next step. Are you ready?- Yep.- Yeah.

0:14:24 > 0:14:28Let's practice throwing it at about 5 to 10 metres with your dogs.

0:14:28 > 0:14:29Go ahead, let me see where you are.

0:14:29 > 0:14:31Good, good.

0:14:31 > 0:14:34- Very nice!- Good boy!

0:14:34 > 0:14:36Molly and Indiana have our first full Frisbee catch.

0:14:36 > 0:14:38And the second!

0:14:38 > 0:14:40And he's retrieving it!

0:14:40 > 0:14:42That's what I want to see.

0:14:42 > 0:14:45Will Max be able to catch Hannah's throw?

0:14:45 > 0:14:47- Oh, not quite.- Nice work.

0:14:47 > 0:14:49Where's your celebration? Come on.

0:14:49 > 0:14:51Maybe this time, Max.

0:14:51 > 0:14:54Now THERE'S some competition for Molly and Indiana.

0:14:54 > 0:14:56Our second Frisbee-catching dog.

0:14:56 > 0:15:00But Max still isn't bringing it straight back to Hannah.

0:15:00 > 0:15:03Frisbee retrieval will be crucial when it comes to showtime.

0:15:03 > 0:15:05Remember, the thing we want to do

0:15:05 > 0:15:08is increase the distance with the Frisbee,

0:15:08 > 0:15:10so they go at least 10 metres.

0:15:10 > 0:15:12Too far! Too far, Jake!

0:15:12 > 0:15:15You want to start short and gradually increase.

0:15:15 > 0:15:18Mist, go!

0:15:18 > 0:15:20Good! Good, good, good!

0:15:20 > 0:15:22Mist caught it.

0:15:22 > 0:15:24All the dogs have done it now.

0:15:24 > 0:15:25An amazing end to Day Two.

0:15:25 > 0:15:27Guys, looking wonderful.

0:15:27 > 0:15:29Now you've got three weeks to practise,

0:15:29 > 0:15:33then you'll come back here to the Doghouse for showtime,

0:15:33 > 0:15:36and we're going to see which dog catches the most Frisbees.

0:15:36 > 0:15:40- All right, guys, we'll see you later. Bye, y'all.- Bye!- Bye!

0:15:40 > 0:15:41- Sit.- Drop!

0:15:41 > 0:15:43In order for a dog to be truly happy,

0:15:43 > 0:15:46they've got to have mental and physical stimulation.

0:15:46 > 0:15:49And Frisbee definitely gives them that.

0:15:49 > 0:15:51# Who let the dogs out? #

0:15:51 > 0:15:55Here are Zak's six steps for teaching your dog Frisbee.

0:15:57 > 0:15:59One - get your dog interested

0:15:59 > 0:16:02by getting low and moving the Frisbee around.

0:16:02 > 0:16:07Two - make sure your dog learns to take the Frisbee and also let go.

0:16:07 > 0:16:10Three - roll the Frisbee a short distance for your dog to take,

0:16:10 > 0:16:14then run from your dog to get the energy and enthusiasm.

0:16:15 > 0:16:19Four - get your dog to retrieve the Frisbee, returning it to you.

0:16:19 > 0:16:23Five - try to throw the Frisbee 5-10 metres for your dog to catch.

0:16:23 > 0:16:27Six - practise an hour a day and your dog will soon be a Frisbee pro.

0:16:32 > 0:16:34There are lots of little tricks

0:16:34 > 0:16:36that are fun for you and your dog to learn.

0:16:36 > 0:16:39Today, Nelly and I are going to show your dog how to high-five.

0:16:39 > 0:16:42Come on, Nelly. There's a good girl.

0:16:42 > 0:16:44You're fantastic. Look what I got.

0:16:44 > 0:16:48When we do this, we want to start by encouraging them to lift their paw.

0:16:48 > 0:16:52I find the easiest way to do this is to tickle the back of their paw

0:16:52 > 0:16:54until they lift it, then I'm going to click.

0:16:54 > 0:16:58For those of you who don't know how a clicker works, it's very simple.

0:16:58 > 0:17:02When your dog does the right thing, you click and give them a treat.

0:17:02 > 0:17:04Very quickly, your dog will learn

0:17:04 > 0:17:07that the click means it's done something right.

0:17:07 > 0:17:10Then, in your own time, you can give them the reward. Simple.

0:17:10 > 0:17:12I'm going to try this paw here.

0:17:12 > 0:17:14CLICK Yes, very good.

0:17:14 > 0:17:17Once I feel like she's starting to get the hang of it,

0:17:17 > 0:17:18I'll say the word "paw" in this case,

0:17:18 > 0:17:21then we'll work up to a high-five in a second.

0:17:21 > 0:17:23Very good. Paw.

0:17:23 > 0:17:26CLICK Wonderful job, very good.

0:17:26 > 0:17:29Let's see if we can do it without having to touch her foot.

0:17:29 > 0:17:31Nelly? Paw.

0:17:31 > 0:17:34CLICK Very good. Paw?

0:17:34 > 0:17:35CLICK

0:17:35 > 0:17:36Yes, good job.

0:17:36 > 0:17:40Now I want to encourage her to go a bit higher, so we can do a high-five.

0:17:40 > 0:17:42All right, Nelly, ready? Let's try this. Paw.

0:17:42 > 0:17:43Up here, I'm going to...

0:17:43 > 0:17:45CLICK Kind of on the right track,

0:17:45 > 0:17:47not perfect, but that's OK.

0:17:47 > 0:17:48Paw. High-five.

0:17:48 > 0:17:51CLICK Good, much better, look how much higher her paw is.

0:17:51 > 0:17:54That is wonderful. I'm giving her an extra big reward.

0:17:54 > 0:17:56High-five!

0:17:56 > 0:17:57CLICK Yes! Good.

0:17:57 > 0:17:58High five! Good!

0:17:58 > 0:18:01How about a fist bump?

0:18:01 > 0:18:04That's how it looks. Good job.

0:18:04 > 0:18:07# Who let the dogs out? # WOOF, WOOF

0:18:07 > 0:18:09Everyone wants their dog to look their best,

0:18:09 > 0:18:12and it's one thing to have a well-groomed dog,

0:18:12 > 0:18:15but some people... well, they take it just a little too far.

0:18:15 > 0:18:17Prepare to be amazed,

0:18:17 > 0:18:20and please, don't try this at home.

0:18:23 > 0:18:28Welcome to Hollywood, where dreams really can come true.

0:18:28 > 0:18:32Especially if you're a dog who dreams of the latest fashions.

0:18:32 > 0:18:36Casuals, knitwear, they've got it.

0:18:36 > 0:18:39Rhinestone leads, check.

0:18:39 > 0:18:42It's Hollywood style. We take the dog with the limo,

0:18:42 > 0:18:44with the birthday cookie,

0:18:44 > 0:18:46we also do the manicure, pedicure.

0:18:46 > 0:18:48Purple claws are so in this year,

0:18:48 > 0:18:49and so are doggy spa treatments.

0:18:49 > 0:18:53Spoiled Hollywood hounds get shampooing and conditioning,

0:18:53 > 0:18:55aromatherapy and designer clothes.

0:18:55 > 0:19:00"Oh, that W vest is so you. 500, please."

0:19:00 > 0:19:02I do a lot for Miss Kisses. She's my everything.

0:19:02 > 0:19:05I don't have a husband or children. She's my little girl,

0:19:05 > 0:19:09so I have her pouffed and pampered and pink as much as possible.

0:19:09 > 0:19:12Lucy gets her hair cut,

0:19:12 > 0:19:15gets her nails done, gets her teeth brushed.

0:19:15 > 0:19:19You don't even have to leave your house to get your canines brushed.

0:19:19 > 0:19:21In Hollywood, people love the convenience

0:19:21 > 0:19:23of a groomer coming to their house,

0:19:23 > 0:19:26and they don't want to put a dirty dog in their luxury car.

0:19:26 > 0:19:28Human shampoos can be too harsh,

0:19:28 > 0:19:31so special dog products are used to make over these mutts,

0:19:31 > 0:19:34leaving them looking like a million dollars.

0:19:34 > 0:19:37Which is probably not far off from what it costs.

0:19:43 > 0:19:46Meanwhile in China, there's a tiger dog,

0:19:46 > 0:19:48there's a panda dog,

0:19:48 > 0:19:51there's a bikini dog, turtle dog...

0:19:51 > 0:19:53Is that Spiderman dog?

0:19:53 > 0:19:54Next to zebra dog?

0:19:54 > 0:19:58Yes, in China, all you need is a dog, some dye,

0:19:58 > 0:20:00and a crazy sense of what actually looks good,

0:20:00 > 0:20:04and you get yourself two animals for the price of one.

0:20:04 > 0:20:05This is Kung Fu.

0:20:05 > 0:20:08He's 10 months old, and he's an Old English Sheepdog.

0:20:08 > 0:20:09Once well-known as a cute puppy,

0:20:09 > 0:20:13he's getting a special mutt makeover to turn him into a kung fu panda.

0:20:13 > 0:20:17Just trim the fur short, bleach and dye it black and white, et voila!

0:20:17 > 0:20:21It's that panda look, that's all the rage with, uh...

0:20:21 > 0:20:22with other pandas, I suppose.

0:20:22 > 0:20:25It can take six months before new fur grows back,

0:20:25 > 0:20:28and Spiderman dog can reveal his identity as Real Dog.

0:20:28 > 0:20:31And this new grooming trend can't be that great for dogs.

0:20:31 > 0:20:34Besides, it makes them look plain silly.

0:20:34 > 0:20:38I bet they're mega-embarrassed their trainer made them look like that.

0:20:38 > 0:20:42So for the sake of your own lovely dog, don't try this at home.

0:20:42 > 0:20:45# Who let the dogs out? #

0:20:47 > 0:20:52Three weeks of intense training have come to an end.

0:20:52 > 0:20:54This is the hardest test Mist,

0:20:54 > 0:20:55Max,

0:20:55 > 0:20:59and Indiana have ever faced.

0:20:59 > 0:21:02There can only be one winner.

0:21:02 > 0:21:05Jake had trouble with Mist's concentration,

0:21:05 > 0:21:08and Mist was distracted by other dog's Frisbees.

0:21:08 > 0:21:10But they've progressed well at home,

0:21:10 > 0:21:13and Mist can now catch a Frisbee at distance.

0:21:13 > 0:21:19- I feel Mist's improved a lot.- Hannah and Max, after a tricky start,

0:21:19 > 0:21:21have improved their catching technique,

0:21:21 > 0:21:24but Max still struggles retrieving the Frisbee to Hannah.

0:21:24 > 0:21:27Could this cost them the trophy at showtime?

0:21:27 > 0:21:32It's not complete, but we're working on it, so hopefully he should be OK.

0:21:32 > 0:21:36Molly and Indiana have progressed fantastically throughout training,

0:21:36 > 0:21:40but will practice make perfect for them when it really matters?

0:21:40 > 0:21:42I think Indy's improved

0:21:42 > 0:21:47in his catching, and he's much more interested in the Frisbee.

0:21:47 > 0:21:50Today is the big day.

0:21:50 > 0:21:52It's showtime.

0:21:54 > 0:21:57Who has mastered this challenge?

0:21:57 > 0:21:59Who will catch the most Frisbees?

0:21:59 > 0:22:04And who will win the Who Let The Dogs Out Top Dog Trophy?

0:22:04 > 0:22:08# Who let the dogs out? # Woof, woof, woof, woof.

0:22:08 > 0:22:12It's showtime, and boy, have I been looking forward to this one.

0:22:12 > 0:22:15This is where the competition will take place.

0:22:15 > 0:22:19Each dog will have two minutes to make as many catches as they can.

0:22:19 > 0:22:21Each catch will count for one point.

0:22:21 > 0:22:26However, if the dogs can manage to make a catch over the 10-metre line,

0:22:26 > 0:22:28they'll get two points per catch.

0:22:58 > 0:22:59Ooh! Nearly.

0:22:59 > 0:23:01Here's the replay.

0:23:01 > 0:23:04- The pressure of showtime's making it much harder.- Stay.

0:23:08 > 0:23:11Time is running out,

0:23:11 > 0:23:13and Mist is running out of bounds.

0:23:13 > 0:23:14Let's look at that again.

0:23:14 > 0:23:16Mist is so focused on that Frisbee,

0:23:46 > 0:23:48Keep up the good work.

0:23:50 > 0:23:51Next up, Hannah and Max.

0:23:51 > 0:23:52Whenever you're ready.

0:24:08 > 0:24:09That's two more points.

0:24:09 > 0:24:11Taking a closer look at it,

0:24:11 > 0:24:14the Frisbee was over the 10-metre mark when Max caught it,

0:24:14 > 0:24:17and though it was very close, he landed just over the line.

0:24:17 > 0:24:20Go on, Max! Go!

0:25:43 > 0:25:46Let's see a replay of that.

0:25:46 > 0:25:47Indy jumps,

0:25:58 > 0:26:01Molly and Indiana are keeping their energy up,
