0:02:12 > 0:02:16I'm proud of Rosie cos she worked so hard today

0:02:16 > 0:02:18and I couldn't be more pleased with her.

0:02:19 > 0:02:22That was really, really impressive.

0:02:22 > 0:02:24I'm Genevieve

0:02:24 > 0:02:25and this is my dog Monty,

0:02:25 > 0:02:27'and he is a Papillon.' Spin!

0:02:27 > 0:02:29Monty has quite a lot of potential.

0:02:29 > 0:02:32He's got quite a big mind.

0:02:32 > 0:02:36Yeah! Back stall. Check it out!

0:02:36 > 0:02:38'Monty is amazing.' Come on, through!

0:02:38 > 0:02:40- First time on the tunnel, great. - He's very clever.

0:02:40 > 0:02:42Over!

0:02:42 > 0:02:43A bit naughty.

0:02:43 > 0:02:45Come!

0:02:45 > 0:02:47And barks a lot.

0:02:47 > 0:02:48MONTY BARKS

0:02:48 > 0:02:50You've done really good with him.

0:02:53 > 0:02:56- My name is Millie, my dog's name is Tickle.- Very nice.

0:02:56 > 0:02:59I want you to just do your thing and show me what you got, OK?

0:02:59 > 0:03:01Oh, so pretty on the lovely cushion.

0:03:01 > 0:03:03Good stability too.

0:03:03 > 0:03:05Tickle was really good.

0:03:05 > 0:03:06She did was she was told.

0:03:08 > 0:03:11- I like that.- Tick! Back!- Very good.

0:03:11 > 0:03:15That mutual trust between dog and trainer, something I look for,

0:03:15 > 0:03:18and nothing says trust like balancing.

0:03:18 > 0:03:20- I was really proud of Tickle. - Very nice.- Thanks.

0:03:20 > 0:03:22I'm impressed with you, good job.

0:03:25 > 0:03:29Three great balancing dogs have made it to the Dog House.

0:03:29 > 0:03:30But will they be able

0:03:30 > 0:03:32to handle Zak's stunt?

0:03:32 > 0:03:33Hey, hey, guys! How is it going?

0:03:33 > 0:03:35ALL: Fine.

0:03:35 > 0:03:37I'm so excited about today's trick.

0:03:37 > 0:03:41Today, you're going to be teaching your dogs how to balance

0:03:41 > 0:03:45with their back paws on your knees and their front paws on your hands.

0:03:45 > 0:03:48Now, we call this a knee stall.

0:03:48 > 0:03:51This requires a lot of dedication between you and your dog.

0:03:51 > 0:03:53For this trick, the dogs will need

0:03:53 > 0:03:55to jump onto their trainer's knees

0:03:55 > 0:03:56and balance there.

0:03:56 > 0:03:57Once they're stable,

0:03:57 > 0:03:59the dogs will put their front paws

0:03:59 > 0:04:00onto their trainer's hand.

0:04:00 > 0:04:04At Showtime, the dog that balances there the longest will be the winner.

0:04:07 > 0:04:10I'm going to start with Millie and Tickle over here.

0:04:10 > 0:04:12Now, you see we've got these boxes out here

0:04:12 > 0:04:16because we want to kind of teach our dogs to jump onto a smaller area.

0:04:16 > 0:04:18Come on over here with her.

0:04:18 > 0:04:20I want you to encourage Tickle to get up here.

0:04:20 > 0:04:22Look how distracted Tickle is right now.

0:04:22 > 0:04:26It's hard when you have all these distractions, but let's try it.

0:04:26 > 0:04:28Looks like she's more interested in the grass

0:04:28 > 0:04:30and what's under the blanket than the trick.

0:04:30 > 0:04:32Hey, Tickle. Come here, girl.

0:04:32 > 0:04:34Come on, up here, come on! Yes, good!

0:04:34 > 0:04:36Very good. And look how close we are.

0:04:36 > 0:04:39It's not all about the treat, it's a connection process too.

0:04:39 > 0:04:42You can use both. Come here. Do you see this? Come on, let's go.

0:04:42 > 0:04:46Come on. Oh, yes! Very good. You're doing wonderful, Tickle.

0:04:46 > 0:04:50Now that she's up here, I'm going to move this around a little bit.

0:04:50 > 0:04:53See that? Now, I'm going to lift it up a little bit...

0:04:53 > 0:04:54Very good, very good!

0:04:54 > 0:04:56I'm just assessing she's comfortable up here.

0:04:56 > 0:04:59- Do you feel like you know what to do right now?- Yeah.

0:04:59 > 0:05:03If Millie can keep Tickle's attention, they could do well.

0:05:03 > 0:05:06Genevieve and Monty Zoom now. All right. How are we doing?

0:05:06 > 0:05:09- Um...good.- OK. So...

0:05:09 > 0:05:10Can I try without the lead,

0:05:10 > 0:05:13cos he doesn't like doing things with the lead on.

0:05:13 > 0:05:14Sure, that's fine.

0:05:14 > 0:05:16- Up! Up! Good.- Very good.

0:05:16 > 0:05:19- Now, show me some connection, show me some sincerity.- Up! Come on!

0:05:19 > 0:05:22I always look for that when I see people training their dogs.

0:05:22 > 0:05:24Good boy! Yeah, go!

0:05:24 > 0:05:26- Very good!- Good!

0:05:26 > 0:05:29It's a good start for Genevieve and Monty Zoom.

0:05:29 > 0:05:30He has no problem getting on the box,

0:05:30 > 0:05:32but he's not staying up there very long.

0:05:32 > 0:05:34- No.- No.

0:05:34 > 0:05:36And every time we say "No" to our dogs,

0:05:36 > 0:05:39it should always be in a very calm tone, so it's, "No."

0:05:39 > 0:05:42All "No" means is, "No, that's not what I was looking for."

0:05:42 > 0:05:45It's not, "You're in trouble." It's, "That's not quite it."

0:05:45 > 0:05:49You need to stay a little bit longer. Almost! Come on!

0:05:49 > 0:05:51Say yes, good, very nice.

0:05:51 > 0:05:54I want you to keep working on that right now, OK?

0:05:54 > 0:05:57- Everything OK?- Yeah. - What's happening over there?

0:05:57 > 0:06:01Looks like Millie is still having trouble holding Tickle's attention.

0:06:01 > 0:06:04Louise and Rosie. Show me what you got.

0:06:04 > 0:06:06Move, Rosie.

0:06:06 > 0:06:08Feet, feet.

0:06:08 > 0:06:11- Come on. Good, sit, good. - Very nice. You know what?

0:06:11 > 0:06:14I think, with you, we can just go on to the next step right now

0:06:14 > 0:06:16based on the training that you've already done.

0:06:16 > 0:06:18Right, so what we want to do here

0:06:18 > 0:06:20is we want to encourage Rosie to get up here.

0:06:20 > 0:06:23You'll have to brace, you might have to use your hands.

0:06:23 > 0:06:26It requires a lot of talent on the human's part to do this.

0:06:26 > 0:06:28Rosie. Sit, stay.

0:06:28 > 0:06:31Louise really impressed Zak at the Try-outs

0:06:31 > 0:06:33with her dog training expertise

0:06:33 > 0:06:35and it looks like she is about to do it again.

0:06:35 > 0:06:38- Good.- I want you to really celebrate when she makes it up here.

0:06:38 > 0:06:43- Come on!- You've got to hold this steady there.- Get up!

0:06:43 > 0:06:46- Yes! Good, good job! - Yeah!- All right, wonderful job!

0:06:46 > 0:06:48See, right there, see that genuine energy?

0:06:48 > 0:06:51That's what we're looking for, how we communicate with dogs.

0:06:51 > 0:06:52Good girl!

0:06:52 > 0:06:56Louise and Rosie are well on their way to completing the knee stall,

0:06:56 > 0:06:59but Zak thinks the other teams need a little bit more practice

0:06:59 > 0:07:03before they can move onto having boxes on their knees.

0:07:07 > 0:07:10While these guys are training hard, I'm going to put my feet up

0:07:10 > 0:07:13and watch some dogs who would make amazing undercover spy dogs.

0:07:13 > 0:07:17This is strictly classified,

0:07:17 > 0:07:19but some dogs lead a double life.

0:07:19 > 0:07:23The life of a spy.

0:07:23 > 0:07:25To be a spy requires nerves of steel...

0:07:28 > 0:07:30..technical expertise...

0:07:32 > 0:07:36..high levels of fitness

0:07:36 > 0:07:38and a fast car.

0:07:40 > 0:07:43Spies never lose their cool,

0:07:43 > 0:07:47even when battling their archenemies.

0:07:48 > 0:07:51But you can't be called a real spy

0:07:51 > 0:07:54until you've come face to face

0:07:54 > 0:07:56with an evil mastermind.

0:08:01 > 0:08:03Still to come on Who Let the Dogs Out?

0:08:03 > 0:08:06We've got a podgy pooch who needs to cut out the calories.

0:08:06 > 0:08:09Zak's Quick Trick is literally rubbish.

0:08:09 > 0:08:11And which of our three young trainers

0:08:11 > 0:08:13can tip the balance in their favour

0:08:13 > 0:08:16to continue their journey to become Top Dog Trainer?

0:08:18 > 0:08:21Back at training, it looks like Genevieve and Monty

0:08:21 > 0:08:25have decided to move on to the next step with the boxes on their knees.

0:08:25 > 0:08:28See what happened just there, cos it wasn't very stable.

0:08:28 > 0:08:31Now, he's a little more reluctant to get up there.

0:08:31 > 0:08:33That's OK, you just need to be patient

0:08:33 > 0:08:36- and understand that, you know what I mean?- Yeah.

0:08:36 > 0:08:39Why don't you put him back on the ground to rebuild up his confidence?

0:08:39 > 0:08:41That's what dog training is about.

0:08:41 > 0:08:45Sometimes, you have to return to the former step and work on the next one.

0:08:45 > 0:08:48Oh, dear, looks like Genevieve and Monty are back to square one.

0:08:48 > 0:08:51Once he's up there, you can move it around a little bit.

0:08:51 > 0:08:55If you can be successful in getting it off the ground, like this...

0:08:55 > 0:08:58- I think you're strong enough to lift it, aren't you?- Yeah.- Yeah.

0:08:58 > 0:09:02- Come here.- Good boy.- Very good. And let's try and lift it.

0:09:02 > 0:09:06Yes! Good, almost. I want you to keep working on that right now, OK?

0:09:06 > 0:09:09I wonder if Louise and Rosie are doing any better.

0:09:09 > 0:09:12- Rosie, Rosie!- Yes, good!

0:09:12 > 0:09:15Louise is doing really well, even with a big dog like Rosie.

0:09:15 > 0:09:18Louise and Rosie are looking very good.

0:09:18 > 0:09:21And let me come over here, Millie and Tickle. What's new?

0:09:21 > 0:09:23- Any progress?- Um... Yes, she's standing on it.

0:09:23 > 0:09:27- OK, go ahead and put her on your knees.- Tick! Go on, up!

0:09:27 > 0:09:28- Good girl!- Stay.- Stay.

0:09:28 > 0:09:31- Good!- Stay.- Make sure you're very clear.

0:09:31 > 0:09:33When she's up there, "Yes, I like that!"

0:09:33 > 0:09:36And if you want to reward her while she's up there, great.

0:09:36 > 0:09:37Good girl!

0:09:37 > 0:09:40I think me and Tickle are going to do really well,

0:09:40 > 0:09:43because she's concentrating and doing everything

0:09:43 > 0:09:46that I'm telling her to do.

0:09:46 > 0:09:50The progress that I made this morning was really good.

0:09:50 > 0:09:52I got more than half way there,

0:09:52 > 0:09:55cos I got her to balance on the box.

0:09:55 > 0:09:58Monty should probably do it,

0:09:58 > 0:10:00but you can't really tell with him,

0:10:00 > 0:10:04he's just this kind of dog which does what he wants.

0:10:04 > 0:10:08By next time, I'd really, really like your dogs balancing on that box,

0:10:08 > 0:10:11on your knees with at least one paw on your hand.

0:10:11 > 0:10:12OK.

0:10:12 > 0:10:15- Keep up the good work and we'll see you in a week.- OK.- OK.

0:10:15 > 0:10:16ALL: Bye!

0:10:17 > 0:10:21Rosie, Tickle and Monty Zoom all look pretty different,

0:10:21 > 0:10:23but let's take a look at their mutt measurements

0:10:23 > 0:10:25and see what they're all about.

0:10:25 > 0:10:27Rosie is a one-year-and-ten-month-old

0:10:27 > 0:10:28Border Collie.

0:10:28 > 0:10:31Collies are often clever and daring

0:10:31 > 0:10:32and Rosie is no exception.

0:10:32 > 0:10:34She's not afraid of stunts -

0:10:34 > 0:10:36she once tried to get

0:10:36 > 0:10:37into a fish tank!

0:10:37 > 0:10:41But will Rosie apply the same daredevil approach to knee stall?

0:10:41 > 0:10:43Tickle is a four-year-old Jack Russell.

0:10:43 > 0:10:45She can't live

0:10:45 > 0:10:46without her pink tuggy toy

0:10:46 > 0:10:48and is a big fan of sausages.

0:10:48 > 0:10:49Now, Jack Russells

0:10:49 > 0:10:51are usually very energetic,

0:10:51 > 0:10:54which explains why Tickle loves chasing birds in the garden.

0:10:54 > 0:10:58But will Tickle the terrier manage to chase off the opposition?

0:10:58 > 0:11:00Monty Zoom is a two-year-old Papillon.

0:11:00 > 0:11:03He gets his breed name from the French word for butterfly

0:11:03 > 0:11:05because of the shape of his ears.

0:11:05 > 0:11:07He likes nothing more

0:11:07 > 0:11:08than hiding under the rug

0:11:08 > 0:11:10and pretending no-one can see him.

0:11:10 > 0:11:13Let's hope Monty Zoom doesn't try and hide

0:11:13 > 0:11:15when it comes to Showtime.

0:11:19 > 0:11:22One week later, and the teams have returned to the Dog House.

0:11:22 > 0:11:26It looks like all the dogs have progressed well with their training.

0:11:26 > 0:11:28I wonder if Zak will be impressed.

0:11:30 > 0:11:34Look at you, guys, looking fantastic over here!

0:11:34 > 0:11:35Wonderful work!

0:11:35 > 0:11:37So, today, what we're going to do, guys, is

0:11:37 > 0:11:40we'll focus on going onto the next level with this trick.

0:11:40 > 0:11:43What we want to do is to phase that box out completely

0:11:43 > 0:11:46till our dogs have their hind legs on just our knees.

0:11:46 > 0:11:47Does that make sense?

0:11:47 > 0:11:49- Yeah.- Fantastic.

0:11:49 > 0:11:52Let's go ahead and lose the box, hold on the leash there. Good.

0:11:52 > 0:11:57Let's go ahead and encourage Monty Zoom to now get on to your knees.

0:11:57 > 0:12:01And this, this requires a lot of skill on our part as humans as well.

0:12:01 > 0:12:04Not so easy now that Monty Zooms only got knee pads to balance on.

0:12:04 > 0:12:05Look at this.

0:12:05 > 0:12:08I want you to really focus on going on your knees completely.

0:12:08 > 0:12:10- Reward big there.- Good boy!

0:12:10 > 0:12:13- Is that the first time Monty Zoom has done this just on your knees?- Yeah.

0:12:13 > 0:12:16- Give him a jackpot reward, a mega reward.- Good boy!

0:12:16 > 0:12:19Keep working on that for today. One paw on your hand would be bonus,

0:12:19 > 0:12:23but I'm not going to hold my breath on that. Just keep on working...

0:12:23 > 0:12:26Zak doesn't sound very optimistic, but Genevieve looks determined.

0:12:26 > 0:12:29Millie, let's see if we can get Tickle on your knees,

0:12:29 > 0:12:31just on your knees without the box now.

0:12:31 > 0:12:33Up! Come on, up, up!

0:12:33 > 0:12:36Just focus on keeping your knees very stable. You know what?

0:12:36 > 0:12:39I'm going to actually pick her up and encourage her to do this.

0:12:39 > 0:12:41If Tickle can do a knee stall without the box,

0:12:41 > 0:12:43it'd be a massive improvement.

0:12:43 > 0:12:44Put your hand over here now.

0:12:44 > 0:12:47Try to put her paw over here.

0:12:47 > 0:12:48Yes!

0:12:48 > 0:12:49Wow! Incredible!

0:12:49 > 0:12:53Look at that! Fantastic!

0:12:53 > 0:12:55Really good work!

0:12:55 > 0:12:59She's done it! Only for a few seconds, but good job, Tickle!

0:12:59 > 0:13:03I wonder how expert dog trainer Louise is getting on.

0:13:03 > 0:13:07- Hey, Louise!- Hiya!- How are you? - Fine, thanks.- Very good.

0:13:07 > 0:13:09You've already skipped and got rid of the box?

0:13:09 > 0:13:12- I've been doing it in a different way.- You have.

0:13:12 > 0:13:14- Show me what you've done.- Rosie!

0:13:14 > 0:13:16Why are you putting a treat in your mouth?

0:13:16 > 0:13:17I'll show you.

0:13:17 > 0:13:18Walk on!

0:13:18 > 0:13:21Looks like Louise has taken the training into her own hands.

0:13:21 > 0:13:23Good, good. Rosie, Rosie, Rosie.

0:13:23 > 0:13:25- I see now, you're having her walk back.- Uh-huh.

0:13:25 > 0:13:28Good, good! Walk back. Good!

0:13:28 > 0:13:30What was that?!

0:13:30 > 0:13:32- Are you serious?- Rosie, come!

0:13:32 > 0:13:35That's a traditional dog training technique.

0:13:35 > 0:13:37To teach our dogs to look at our face.

0:13:37 > 0:13:40A lot of trainers would do that, they'll put a treat in their mouth.

0:13:40 > 0:13:42Be careful not to choke on the treat, though.

0:13:42 > 0:13:45Yes, kids - don't try that at home.

0:13:46 > 0:13:47Walk on, walk on.

0:13:47 > 0:13:50Good, good. Walk back! Walk back.

0:13:50 > 0:13:53- Back! Walk back!- It's OK.

0:13:53 > 0:13:56And right there, I mean, let her know that she did the right thing.

0:13:56 > 0:14:00- You've done this.- Good girl!- Cos she took one step back. Know what I mean?

0:14:00 > 0:14:04This is a very strange training technique, but it might just work.

0:14:04 > 0:14:06You have about a week to practise here,

0:14:06 > 0:14:08so I want you to keep working with your dogs.

0:14:08 > 0:14:10All of you have a fairly long way to go,

0:14:10 > 0:14:13but I'm very encouraged by where you are now in the trick.

0:14:13 > 0:14:15It is a really tough trick.

0:14:15 > 0:14:18I will see you right here at the Dog House for Showtime.

0:14:18 > 0:14:20Keep up the good work. Bye, guys!

0:14:20 > 0:14:21ALL: Bye!

0:14:22 > 0:14:26Knee stall is one of the most difficult dog stunts to master,

0:14:26 > 0:14:28but if you're willing to put in the hours,

0:14:28 > 0:14:30the rewards are well worth it.

0:14:30 > 0:14:33Here are Zak's five steps to mastering the knee stall.

0:14:33 > 0:14:37One. Encourage your dog to jump onto a small stable box.

0:14:37 > 0:14:40Two. Once your dog is happy jumping onto the box,

0:14:40 > 0:14:44try moving the box around or even lifting it.

0:14:44 > 0:14:47Three. Once your dog is comfortable with this,

0:14:47 > 0:14:50try lying on the ground and place the box on your knees.

0:14:50 > 0:14:55Four. Encourage your dog to place its back paws on the box

0:14:55 > 0:14:57and its front paws on your hands.

0:14:57 > 0:14:59Five. Gradually phase out the box

0:14:59 > 0:15:02and encourage your dog to jump straight onto your knees

0:15:02 > 0:15:04and see how long you can hold them up there for.

0:15:04 > 0:15:07It's also a good idea to wear some kneepads and some gloves

0:15:07 > 0:15:09so you don't get scratched.

0:15:09 > 0:15:12I think Rosie will pull it together for the finale

0:15:12 > 0:15:16because she would have learned what she's meant to do properly.

0:15:16 > 0:15:20I think she's going to be really good at training this week,

0:15:20 > 0:15:23because she knows what she's got to do.

0:15:23 > 0:15:26I am a bit nervous, but I shouldn't really be worried.

0:15:26 > 0:15:30He's a good dog and I think he'll be able to do that.

0:15:34 > 0:15:37I'll show you how to teach your dog to put the litter in the bin today.

0:15:37 > 0:15:40Come on, Nelly, look what I got!

0:15:40 > 0:15:44I have treats, we're going to have fun! It's good! Sit. Nice!

0:15:44 > 0:15:46So I put Nelly into a sit there,

0:15:46 > 0:15:48just to let her know we're going to do a new trick.

0:15:48 > 0:15:50And I've got this piece of paper.

0:15:50 > 0:15:53Now, the key to this is making this paper fun.

0:15:53 > 0:15:58Dogs don't know that paper isn't fun, so we'll show them it is. Come on!

0:15:58 > 0:16:00Good! Get that! Very good! Now, she's bringing it to me.

0:16:00 > 0:16:02Can I have it? Good!

0:16:02 > 0:16:05And, in Nelly's case, she would actually fetch for food,

0:16:05 > 0:16:08so I'm going to give her a little bit of food.

0:16:08 > 0:16:11But if you make the paper the real toy, that's just as well.

0:16:11 > 0:16:13Very good, here we go! Nelly, what's this?

0:16:13 > 0:16:15Go and get it! All right.

0:16:15 > 0:16:17And she might even destroy the paper.

0:16:17 > 0:16:20And I'm going to try and catch it with the bin.

0:16:20 > 0:16:21Very good, Nelly, fantastic job!

0:16:21 > 0:16:24When she starts doing this really well, I'll say,

0:16:24 > 0:16:25"Throw your litter away."

0:16:25 > 0:16:27Go get that litter.

0:16:27 > 0:16:29Bring the litter to me, come on.

0:16:29 > 0:16:32I'm teaching her language here. Throw your litter away, good!

0:16:32 > 0:16:34Giving her an extra big reward for that.

0:16:34 > 0:16:36I think we're at the point where I can leave it here,

0:16:36 > 0:16:38and she might throw it away on her own.

0:16:38 > 0:16:40Let's see. Go get it!

0:16:40 > 0:16:42Nelly, come here, angel, over here!

0:16:42 > 0:16:44Throw your litter away.

0:16:44 > 0:16:46And it is that simple!

0:16:46 > 0:16:48Nel, you are just a superstar!

0:16:53 > 0:16:57Dogs, like us, need to eat healthy food and have lots of exercise.

0:16:57 > 0:17:01But you know what? Some pups can really pile on the pounds.

0:17:04 > 0:17:06Meet Madison,

0:17:06 > 0:17:10a dog who loves her food but doesn't watch her waistline.

0:17:10 > 0:17:13Time to get Maddie back in shape

0:17:13 > 0:17:18with the help of a team of experts from the Pet Fit Club.

0:17:18 > 0:17:20She weighs about 52 kilos.

0:17:20 > 0:17:22We're hoping that with the weight reduction plan,

0:17:22 > 0:17:24she'll go down to about 42 kilos.

0:17:24 > 0:17:26That's about a 20% drop in weight.

0:17:26 > 0:17:30Maddie is placed on a strict diet and exercise programme

0:17:30 > 0:17:35with regular weigh-ins to make sure she's sticking to the programme.

0:17:35 > 0:17:38Six months on, and it's time for the grand weigh-in.

0:17:38 > 0:17:40And it's great news!

0:17:40 > 0:17:43Maddie has reached her target weight loss - ten kilos!

0:17:43 > 0:17:46That is the same weight as all these cans of dog food.

0:17:46 > 0:17:49She was very lethargic and listless.

0:17:49 > 0:17:51She now enjoys playing with the other dogs,

0:17:51 > 0:17:54chasing squirrels, playing with the ball.

0:17:54 > 0:17:56She's a completely different dog.

0:17:56 > 0:17:58Wow! Well done, Maddie!

0:17:58 > 0:18:00What a transformation!

0:18:04 > 0:18:08Two weeks of intensive training is over

0:18:08 > 0:18:11and it's now time for our three trainers

0:18:11 > 0:18:14to battle it out for a place in the quarterfinals.

0:18:16 > 0:18:19The stakes are high and with just one place up for grabs,

0:18:19 > 0:18:21nothing is guaranteed.

0:18:21 > 0:18:25I'm really comfortable about going into the quarterfinals,

0:18:25 > 0:18:29because she's been doing very well at getting onto my hands

0:18:29 > 0:18:31and then reversing up onto my knees.

0:18:31 > 0:18:33So, who will keep their focus?

0:18:33 > 0:18:35I'm most worried about Monty getting bored,

0:18:35 > 0:18:38cos he's the sort of dog that's so clever, and who thinks,

0:18:38 > 0:18:40"Why do I want to do this?

0:18:40 > 0:18:43"When I could just jump down, eat the treats..."

0:18:43 > 0:18:46And who will jump straight into the quarterfinal?

0:18:46 > 0:18:50My training at home has been going really well,

0:18:50 > 0:18:53because she's doing what she's been told

0:18:53 > 0:18:56and she's doing the trick right.

0:18:58 > 0:19:00It's time to find out.

0:19:04 > 0:19:09It's Showtime for our knee stall dogs and there's a LOT at stake.

0:19:09 > 0:19:11Now, since the teams have been doing so well,

0:19:11 > 0:19:14we've decided to award extra bonus points

0:19:14 > 0:19:17if they can do the stunt on three paws.

0:19:17 > 0:19:21Would any of them be brave enough to try it? We are about to find out.

0:19:21 > 0:19:24So our teams will get one point

0:19:24 > 0:19:26for every second of their knee stall

0:19:26 > 0:19:28and if they manage

0:19:28 > 0:19:29to balance on three paws

0:19:29 > 0:19:30for more than three seconds,

0:19:30 > 0:19:33they will double their points.

0:19:33 > 0:19:36First to attempt the challenge are Millie and Tickle.

0:19:36 > 0:19:40Millie struggled to get Tickle to focus during training day one,

0:19:40 > 0:19:43but by day two, they soon got the hang of it.

0:19:43 > 0:19:45The question is...

0:19:45 > 0:19:48are they good enough to make it through to the next round?

0:19:48 > 0:19:51I'm really confident. I think I can win it.

0:19:53 > 0:19:58Oh, it's a beautiful jump up and Tickle's straight into position.

0:19:58 > 0:19:59- Start!- We have a knee stall,

0:19:59 > 0:20:02but how long can they hold it?

0:20:02 > 0:20:05Wow! They've done it on three paws.

0:20:05 > 0:20:08That means their score will be doubled.

0:20:08 > 0:20:12A minute later and they're still going, this is amazing!

0:20:13 > 0:20:15BEEP

0:20:15 > 0:20:16Oh, she's fallen off!

0:20:16 > 0:20:19But it's a brilliant start for Millie and Tickle.

0:20:19 > 0:20:22- Really, really nice work, Millie, very good.- Good girl!

0:20:22 > 0:20:26Next up are Louise and Rosie.

0:20:26 > 0:20:30From the very beginning, Louise and Rosie were the ones to beat.

0:20:30 > 0:20:33They progressed really quickly. Louise even started

0:20:33 > 0:20:36training Rosie with a different technique to the others.

0:20:36 > 0:20:38But will it have worked?

0:20:40 > 0:20:43It will mean a lot to me if she gets through to the next round,

0:20:43 > 0:20:44cos I've come all this way

0:20:44 > 0:20:47and it'd be a disappointment not to, like, get through.

0:20:49 > 0:20:54Louise's technique definitely looks complicated.

0:20:54 > 0:20:56Walk back!

0:20:56 > 0:20:59Rosie needs to put her paws in Louise's hands soon

0:20:59 > 0:21:00or their turn will be over.

0:21:00 > 0:21:04Oh, no! Her back legs have slipped off Louise's knees.

0:21:04 > 0:21:05This is not going well.

0:21:05 > 0:21:07BEEP

0:21:07 > 0:21:09That is the end of your attempt.

0:21:09 > 0:21:14Luckily, Louise and Rosie still have two more attempts.

0:21:14 > 0:21:17Next up are Genevieve and Monty Zoom.

0:21:19 > 0:21:22At the beginning of training, Monty managed to stay on top of the box,

0:21:22 > 0:21:25but struggled to stay on Genevieve's knees.

0:21:25 > 0:21:28Have they even managed to learn the stunt?

0:21:28 > 0:21:31It'd mean quite a lot to me to get through to the next round,

0:21:31 > 0:21:35because I love training Monty and he's my best boy.

0:21:35 > 0:21:37- He's keen!- Wait, wait!

0:21:37 > 0:21:39This is a good sign for Genevieve and Monty.

0:21:45 > 0:21:46Would you believe it!

0:21:46 > 0:21:49- They're doing a knee stall! - Good boy!

0:21:49 > 0:21:52It looks like Monty's having a three-course lunch,

0:21:52 > 0:21:54that's a great trick for keeping him up there.

0:21:54 > 0:21:56They're at 50 seconds.

0:21:58 > 0:21:59BEEP

0:21:59 > 0:22:01Oh, no! His foot slipped.

0:22:01 > 0:22:04That is the end of your first attempt. Very nice work, very good.

0:22:04 > 0:22:06Monty, come!

0:22:06 > 0:22:08So let's have a look at the Leader Board.

0:22:08 > 0:22:12Millie and Tickle are in the lead with 144 points.

0:22:12 > 0:22:15They got a point for each of their 72 seconds,

0:22:15 > 0:22:18which was then doubled because of their three-paw knee stall.

0:22:18 > 0:22:22But can they keep their lead in the competition?

0:22:22 > 0:22:24It's time for the second round of attempts.

0:22:24 > 0:22:26Start!

0:22:26 > 0:22:28Again, they're straight into a perfect knee stall.

0:22:31 > 0:22:33That won't count as a three-paw knee stall

0:22:33 > 0:22:35because it didn't last three seconds.

0:22:35 > 0:22:38Ooh, well recovered, Millie, that was a close one.

0:22:41 > 0:22:43Millie is trying again

0:22:43 > 0:22:45for a three-paw knee stall,

0:22:45 > 0:22:48but it doesn't last three seconds and won't count.

0:22:48 > 0:22:49BEEP

0:22:49 > 0:22:51That's the end of your second attempt.

0:22:51 > 0:22:53It was very good.

0:22:53 > 0:22:56It's good, but it's not better than their first attempt.

0:22:56 > 0:22:58Next are Louise and Rosie.

0:22:58 > 0:23:01They didn't score any points in their first attempt,

0:23:01 > 0:23:03let's hope they can do better now.

0:23:03 > 0:23:04Rosie, this one!

0:23:04 > 0:23:07Louise is trying really hard.

0:23:07 > 0:23:09Start, please.

0:23:09 > 0:23:11Yes, that's a knee stall! Good work.

0:23:11 > 0:23:13- Stay.- This is great.

0:23:13 > 0:23:15Over a minute and a half later

0:23:15 > 0:23:17and they're still going.

0:23:17 > 0:23:20Stay, stay!

0:23:20 > 0:23:21Stay.

0:23:21 > 0:23:24I don't believe it! They're going for a three-paw knee stall.

0:23:24 > 0:23:27Really impressive, considering Rosie is such a large dog.

0:23:30 > 0:23:31Double points. Well done,

0:23:31 > 0:23:34That's going to be a big score!

0:23:34 > 0:23:35Yes, yes!

0:23:38 > 0:23:41OK, so Genevieve and Monty are next up for their second attempt.

0:23:41 > 0:23:43OK, start.

0:23:43 > 0:23:45Looks like Monty is so interested in the treat,

0:23:45 > 0:23:48he's forgotten he's even doing a knee stall.

0:23:48 > 0:23:51Great! He's a good boy!

0:23:51 > 0:23:53Yes, three paws!

0:23:53 > 0:23:55That will double their score.

0:23:55 > 0:23:57Good boy!

0:23:57 > 0:23:59Well over a minute now

0:23:59 > 0:24:01and they're still up there.

0:24:03 > 0:24:04BEEP

0:24:04 > 0:24:06Oh, he's off!

0:24:06 > 0:24:09But another impressive attempt from Genevieve and Monty Zoom.

0:24:09 > 0:24:14- Really, really good work. That was very impressive.- Good boy!

0:24:14 > 0:24:16So after everyone's second attempt,

0:24:16 > 0:24:17the leaders have changed.

0:24:17 > 0:24:19Louise and Rosie are now in front

0:24:19 > 0:24:21with 234 points,

0:24:21 > 0:24:25but the teams still have one more attempt and everything to play for.

0:24:25 > 0:24:26On!

0:24:28 > 0:24:29Start.

0:24:29 > 0:24:32Can Millie and Tickle get back into the lead?

0:24:32 > 0:24:34Another good start.

0:24:34 > 0:24:36Whatever the treat in her hand is,

0:24:36 > 0:24:39it's got Tickle's attention.

0:24:41 > 0:24:44And they've managed another three-pawed knee stall,

0:24:44 > 0:24:46they've doubled their points again.

0:24:46 > 0:24:48They're up to 20 seconds now.

0:24:48 > 0:24:49BEEP

0:24:49 > 0:24:53Oh! Tickle's had enough, but I'm not sure that's enough to win.

0:24:53 > 0:24:55Last attempt for Louise and Rosie.

0:24:55 > 0:24:57Stay.

0:24:57 > 0:24:59Good!

0:24:59 > 0:25:02No problems getting into the knee stall position.

0:25:02 > 0:25:04They made a fantastic comeback

0:25:04 > 0:25:07- at their second attempt to take the lead.- Stay!

0:25:07 > 0:25:08Can they do even better?

0:25:08 > 0:25:10Stay.

0:25:10 > 0:25:12They're almost at two minutes,

0:25:12 > 0:25:14but they haven't got any bonus points yet

0:25:14 > 0:25:17cos they haven't done a three-pawed knee stall.

0:25:17 > 0:25:18BEEP

0:25:18 > 0:25:20He's come off your knee over here,

0:25:20 > 0:25:22that's the end of your attempt.

0:25:22 > 0:25:26- Really nice work, very good!- Yeah!

0:25:26 > 0:25:29So with just Genevieve and Monty left to go,

0:25:29 > 0:25:30it's Louise and Rosie that are still

0:25:30 > 0:25:32in the lead with 234 points,

0:25:32 > 0:25:35but will that be enough to take them into the next round?

0:25:37 > 0:25:40Remember - it's one point for every second of the knee stall

0:25:40 > 0:25:43and double points for doing it on three paws.

0:25:43 > 0:25:46- Here goes. - Start!

0:25:46 > 0:25:47It looks like Genevieve's

0:25:47 > 0:25:49got an extra big treat
