0:02:08 > 0:02:10Ha-ha! Oh, my goodness!
0:02:10 > 0:02:13Just before Showtime, Harry's nerves got the better of him.
0:02:13 > 0:02:16Little reluctant? This is an interesting development.
0:02:16 > 0:02:18Luckily for Charlotte, come Showtime,

0:02:33 > 0:02:35The other teams were so good,
0:02:35 > 0:02:38Showtime ended in a nail-biting tiebreaker.
0:02:38 > 0:02:40But Daniel's hard work paid off

0:02:43 > 0:02:44Good boy, Toddy!

0:02:51 > 0:02:55Ella and Charlie had their work cut out with the Trampoline Challenge.
0:02:55 > 0:02:57Charlie's obsession with balls meant it took Ella
0:02:57 > 0:03:00a little longer to get him to focus on the challenge.
0:03:00 > 0:03:03But by Showtime, it was as though Charlie had turned himself
0:03:03 > 0:03:06into a bouncy ball, and he bounced his way to victory!
0:03:06 > 0:03:09Yes! Good dog!
0:03:09 > 0:03:11I'm feeling quite nervous.
0:03:11 > 0:03:14All the pressure's on me and Charlie to do really well.

0:03:30 > 0:03:34and Ella and Charlie are going to be teaching their dog
0:03:34 > 0:03:37a stunt that requires both speed and precision.
0:03:37 > 0:03:39That's going to be a difficult one,
0:03:39 > 0:03:43but it's going to be a whole lot of fun. Come on in, guys!
0:03:44 > 0:03:48It's a great day today. Are you really excited about today's stunt?
0:03:48 > 0:03:49- ALL:- Yeah!
0:03:49 > 0:03:50Really good. Well, guess what?
0:03:50 > 0:03:55Today you're going to be teaching your dogs the fine art of flyball.
0:03:55 > 0:03:57Daniel and Todd, have you ever heard of flyball?
0:03:57 > 0:04:00I have heard of it before, but I'm not sure what it is.
0:04:00 > 0:04:03I see. Ella, have you ever heard of flyball?
0:04:03 > 0:04:06I've heard of it, but I've never done it before.
0:04:06 > 0:04:10OK. Now, Charlotte and Harry, when I saw you at the tryout,
0:04:10 > 0:04:13I saw that Harry had a little bit of knowledge of flyball already.
0:04:13 > 0:04:16Well, he does it with my mum instead of me,
0:04:16 > 0:04:18but I've been coming into it and practising recently.
0:04:18 > 0:04:21Ooh! Sounds like Charlotte's got a bit of head start on this one.
0:04:21 > 0:04:24- I wouldn't get too confident, though.- No.
0:04:24 > 0:04:26So, you guys ready to get into training?
0:04:26 > 0:04:28- ALL:- Yeah! - All right, let's do this.
0:04:28 > 0:04:31For this stunt, your dog will need to jump over the four hurdles,
0:04:31 > 0:04:33collect the ball from the flyball box
0:04:33 > 0:04:36before racing back over the hurdles
0:04:36 > 0:04:38to deliver the ball to you at the start.
0:04:38 > 0:04:40The winner will be the dog that completes the course
0:04:40 > 0:04:42in the shortest time.
0:04:46 > 0:04:50Charlie looks like he's ready to go. Ella, come over here.
0:04:50 > 0:04:53My reaction was, when I got flyball, a bit disappointed
0:04:53 > 0:04:56because Charlie's never even jumped over a jump before.
0:04:56 > 0:04:59I want you to focus on getting him to go get that ball,
0:04:59 > 0:05:03even if you got to walk with him and bring it back to you, over here. OK?
0:05:03 > 0:05:05Come on, Charlie. What's that?
0:05:05 > 0:05:08What's this? Charlie? What's that?
0:05:08 > 0:05:11- Go and take the ball out, show him it's a real ball.- Charlie, look!
0:05:11 > 0:05:17Charlie's looking keen. But, can he focus on the right ball?
0:05:17 > 0:05:19- He's a smart one.- Charlie!
0:05:19 > 0:05:21Look at this - all these tennis balls!
0:05:21 > 0:05:23What's this?
0:05:23 > 0:05:25No, you've got to earn these balls, my friend!
0:05:25 > 0:05:28He wants every ball but that one. That's your challenge.
0:05:28 > 0:05:32Go ahead and play fetch with him. Get him really interested in THAT ball.
0:05:32 > 0:05:35What's this? Charlie?
0:05:35 > 0:05:37- Good boy!- Well done, Ella.
0:05:37 > 0:05:39Very good. Get in that rhythm now.
0:05:39 > 0:05:45That's good. Over here, good. That's good, give him the ball. Good work.
0:05:45 > 0:05:46This learns quick.
0:05:46 > 0:05:49So, Charlie can fetch from the box and jump one hurdle,
0:05:49 > 0:05:51but can he put it all together?
0:05:52 > 0:05:56- Good, now, over the jump, over the jump.- Jump!- Almost!
0:05:56 > 0:05:58That's OK, that's all right.
0:05:58 > 0:06:01Obviously, you've got a lot of work to do.
0:06:01 > 0:06:04You want him getting the ball out of here, running over all three jumps,
0:06:04 > 0:06:07and there's going to be four at Showtime, and then letting go.
0:06:07 > 0:06:10The dog that does that in the fastest time will be the winner.
0:06:10 > 0:06:12- Does that make sense?- Yes.
0:06:12 > 0:06:15Charlie, just running beside the jump and not jumping over it,
0:06:15 > 0:06:18it really made me frustrated.
0:06:18 > 0:06:21I'm now going to bring in Daniel and Todd.
0:06:21 > 0:06:24- Now, you saw what we were doing over here.- Yes.
0:06:24 > 0:06:27- Is Todd going to be able to pull this off?- Yes.
0:06:27 > 0:06:29Cool! Let's see.
0:06:29 > 0:06:30Wotcha! Wotcha!
0:06:30 > 0:06:34Now, back over here. Run, run, run.
0:06:34 > 0:06:36Toddy! Toddy, up!
0:06:36 > 0:06:40That's OK. Don't go for too much too early here. Work with the ball.
0:06:40 > 0:06:43It would be very tough to win this challenge by rewarding with treats.
0:06:43 > 0:06:47You've got to make that ball special. Good. Back here.
0:06:47 > 0:06:50Over, one jump. Almost, keep going!
0:06:50 > 0:06:52Yes, reward right there, buddy, buddy?
0:06:52 > 0:06:55Asking for too much too quick.
0:06:55 > 0:06:58If we ask for that much, that quick, we're going to burn our dog out.
0:06:58 > 0:07:01They'll be like, I got to do all this for a ball?
0:07:01 > 0:07:05So set them up for success early. Only one jump. Try again. OK?
0:07:05 > 0:07:09- Perfect. Put him into a stay.- Stay.
0:07:09 > 0:07:12Now, ask him to get the ball and bring it back to you over that jump.
0:07:12 > 0:07:13- Fetch it, fetch, Todd.- Good.
0:07:13 > 0:07:16Come on, Todd. Todd!
0:07:16 > 0:07:19Over the jump, over the jump, yes! Good job!
0:07:20 > 0:07:23That was even better than last time.
0:07:23 > 0:07:25Now, let's try two jumps.
0:07:25 > 0:07:27Two jumps - let's do it.
0:07:27 > 0:07:29- Go on.- Fetch it.
0:07:29 > 0:07:30Nice.
0:07:30 > 0:07:35Now, back over the jumps. Show him, go slow. That's good, now, one more.
0:07:37 > 0:07:39- Good work!- Well done, Todd and Daniel.
0:07:39 > 0:07:43He has never taught flyball in his life. That was in just a few minutes.
0:07:43 > 0:07:45When you take a little bit of time to work with your dog,
0:07:45 > 0:07:46look what you can teach them.
0:07:46 > 0:07:51That was an incredible first training session. Really good work.
0:07:51 > 0:07:53I'm feeling very confident about flyball
0:07:53 > 0:07:56because Todd's really enjoying it and giving it 110 %.
0:07:56 > 0:07:59Right, I'm going to bring out Charlotte and Harry.
0:07:59 > 0:08:01Harry has done some flyball before,
0:08:01 > 0:08:03but will he do it for Charlotte today?
0:08:03 > 0:08:06He is up, isn't he? Let's see what he does.
0:08:06 > 0:08:09Sit.
0:08:09 > 0:08:10Box!
0:08:10 > 0:08:11Very good. Very nice.
0:08:11 > 0:08:15Now, what do you say? Do you want to try and introduce a jump now?
0:08:15 > 0:08:16Go on.
0:08:16 > 0:08:18- Hold it.- Very good.
0:08:18 > 0:08:22Harry's off to a great start, just as he was with dock diving.
0:08:22 > 0:08:26- This time, why don't we send him over all three jumps?- Three jumps?!
0:08:26 > 0:08:31- Look at that dead focus he's got right now.- Go on.- Oooh!- Good boy!
0:08:31 > 0:08:33Hold it. Harry, leave it.
0:08:33 > 0:08:35Oh, dear. Harry seems to have lost his focus.
0:08:35 > 0:08:38- They got a lot of work to do. - Harry, leave it.
0:08:38 > 0:08:41My main competition is Daniel and Todd, because Todd is a collie.
0:08:41 > 0:08:44Collies are notorious for winning flyball competitions.
0:08:44 > 0:08:47Really well done, all of you did terrific today.
0:08:47 > 0:08:51But as you can see, you all have a lot of work to do.
0:08:51 > 0:08:55- You guys get some practice in, I'll see you in a bit. ALL:- Bye!
0:09:00 > 0:09:03Practice is key, but so is having fun.
0:09:03 > 0:09:06Here are some dogs who like fun with a capital F.
0:09:07 > 0:09:08Dogs love to play,
0:09:08 > 0:09:13but sometimes it feels as if there are enemies around every corner.
0:09:13 > 0:09:15Mechanical enemies.
0:09:15 > 0:09:17Canine impostors.
0:09:17 > 0:09:20MUSIC: "Yakety Sax"
0:09:20 > 0:09:22Speeding bunnies.
0:09:25 > 0:09:28And even... Gravity.
0:09:30 > 0:09:33Sometimes the best form of defence is attack.
0:09:37 > 0:09:39Sometimes, it's not.
0:09:42 > 0:09:44Enemies can appear from nowhere.
0:09:48 > 0:09:49So keep your wits about you.
0:09:52 > 0:09:56Because you just never know when you might come under attack.
0:10:00 > 0:10:03Still to come - Zak gives Nelly some drama lessons.
0:10:03 > 0:10:06We meet a decorated Army dog.
0:10:06 > 0:10:10And tension mounts as the teams battle to reach the next round.
0:10:15 > 0:10:18Back in the garden, training is well under way.
0:10:18 > 0:10:21When I heard that the trick was flyball I was really excited,
0:10:21 > 0:10:23because Harry had already done it.
0:10:23 > 0:10:24Come on, Toddy!
0:10:24 > 0:10:27Charlotte and Harry are my biggest competitors
0:10:27 > 0:10:32because they're jumping over the ramps and they're the fastest.
0:10:32 > 0:10:35Stay! Stay!
0:10:35 > 0:10:38The best thing about this morning was getting Charlie to wait
0:10:38 > 0:10:42until I put the ball in the slot, and then he went and got it.
0:10:42 > 0:10:44Here, Charlie, good dog.
0:10:44 > 0:10:45Come on, Charlie.
0:10:45 > 0:10:47Not too bad, not too bad, why don't you go ahead
0:10:47 > 0:10:49and put Charlie on lead over here
0:10:49 > 0:10:52and let's see if you guys have any questions.
0:10:52 > 0:10:55Daniel and Todd, I'm really impressed with you guys
0:10:55 > 0:11:00because you went from never even doing this to doing really well.
0:11:00 > 0:11:01Are you pleased with your progress?
0:11:01 > 0:11:03I feel amazed that Todd just picked it up that quick.
0:11:03 > 0:11:08When you work on building communications with your dog
0:11:08 > 0:11:10in day-to-day life, it makes teaching stuff like this so easy,
0:11:10 > 0:11:12and you've illustrated that perfectly.
0:11:12 > 0:11:15Ella and Charlie, you really need to focus on this jump right here.
0:11:15 > 0:11:20If it takes ten minutes to teach him to jump over that jump, that's OK.
0:11:20 > 0:11:23Should I stand by the jump, or wait by the stock?
0:11:23 > 0:11:26You wait here because you know what he'll do.
0:11:26 > 0:11:28And let him know, "I'm going to give you this ball,
0:11:28 > 0:11:30"but you've got to do what I want first."
0:11:30 > 0:11:34- Over the jump. But don't rush it. Make sense?- Yes.
0:11:34 > 0:11:36Really good question, though.
0:11:36 > 0:11:39Charlotte and Harry, now, he's kind of thrown off, here.
0:11:39 > 0:11:43I think because it's a new place. He needs to get used to it.
0:11:43 > 0:11:45And jump over the jumps as they are.
0:11:45 > 0:11:48All of comes into play. Dogs are not machines, they're individuals
0:11:48 > 0:11:51and they have to adapt, just like we do.
0:11:51 > 0:11:54One thing I would recommend, get that energy up. Get amped up.
0:11:54 > 0:11:58I think you guys are going to be a serious force to be reckoned with.
0:11:58 > 0:11:59See you guys back here tomorrow.
0:11:59 > 0:12:04- Keep practising the rest of the day, but keep it fun. See you.- Bye.
0:12:04 > 0:12:07The teams now have one whole day to practise
0:12:07 > 0:12:09before the next training session with Zak.
0:12:09 > 0:12:11And there's a lot of work to do.
0:12:11 > 0:12:15Charlotte seems to be taking Zak's advice and upping her energy.
0:12:15 > 0:12:18I think I can win Who Let The Dogs Out? because Harry is
0:12:18 > 0:12:23a really nice dog, we have a really close bond and he's really obedient.
0:12:23 > 0:12:25Good dog!
0:12:25 > 0:12:28Ella is keeping Charlie on a lead to make sure he stays on track.
0:12:28 > 0:12:29Good boy!
0:12:29 > 0:12:32My plan for training is to get Charlie to be jumping over
0:12:32 > 0:12:34the jumps first.
0:12:34 > 0:12:37And then doing the flyball, and then hopefully putting them all together.
0:12:37 > 0:12:40Come on, come on, good, fetch it!
0:12:40 > 0:12:43So, what's Daniel's plan for mastering flyball?
0:12:43 > 0:12:46My plan is to give it 110%
0:12:46 > 0:12:49and to make sure Todd jumps over the jumps.
0:12:49 > 0:12:50Good boy!
0:12:50 > 0:12:53Harry, Todd and Charlie are all very different dogs.
0:12:53 > 0:12:56Let's have a look at their mutt measurements
0:12:56 > 0:12:58and see who might have the edge in flyball.
0:12:58 > 0:13:01First up, we have Harry, who's a Labrador retriever,
0:13:01 > 0:13:05and retrieving is exactly what's needed for flyball.
0:13:05 > 0:13:08Harry loves tennis balls, which is great for flyball.
0:13:08 > 0:13:11He just has to remember who he is supposed to be retrieving to.
0:13:11 > 0:13:15Todd is a seven-year-old border collie.
0:13:15 > 0:13:17Border collies were bred for sheep herding
0:13:17 > 0:13:20and are considered to be one of the cleverest breeds.
0:13:20 > 0:13:23Collies are also known for their amazing ability at flyball,
0:13:23 > 0:13:26so if Todd holds true to his breed, there will be no stopping him.
0:13:26 > 0:13:28Charlie is a two-year-old Jack Russell terrier.
0:13:28 > 0:13:32Jack Russells were bred 200 years ago, especially for sport.
0:13:32 > 0:13:36Jack Russells may be small, but they're pocket rockets,
0:13:36 > 0:13:38known for their speed, stamina and courage,
0:13:38 > 0:13:42which could stand Ella in great stead for winning this challenge.
0:13:51 > 0:13:54The teams are back for some more flyball training with Zak.
0:13:54 > 0:13:58But, hang on a minute - someone is missing.
0:13:58 > 0:14:00- How are you guys doing?- Fine.
0:14:00 > 0:14:04Unfortunately, Charlotte couldn't be here because she's not feeling good.
0:14:04 > 0:14:06This could be an advantage for Ella and Daniel.
0:14:06 > 0:14:09But I do hope Charlotte is well enough for Showtime.
0:14:09 > 0:14:13Daniel, let's start with you. Show me how you guys have been doing?
0:14:13 > 0:14:18Round, round, stay, stay!
0:14:18 > 0:14:21Daniel's training plan is to get Todd to go over three jumps.
0:14:22 > 0:14:25Stay, stay, stay.
0:14:25 > 0:14:27Hup!
0:14:27 > 0:14:28Toddy, come!
0:14:30 > 0:14:32No.
0:14:32 > 0:14:33Oh dear.
0:14:33 > 0:14:35Run with him every step.
0:14:35 > 0:14:37Don't focus on going too fast right now.
0:14:37 > 0:14:41- Let's try and get over all three jumps one at a time.- Round, round.
0:14:41 > 0:14:43If this takes ten minutes, it's OK.
0:14:43 > 0:14:46I want you to run with him now, OK?
0:14:47 > 0:14:51Back over all three jumps. Go with him.
0:14:51 > 0:14:54Go slow. Easy, easy. Good.
0:14:54 > 0:14:59Over the third one. Back here. Timing is everything.
0:14:59 > 0:15:00Put your body over here.
0:15:00 > 0:15:04The reason for that is, we want to let him know... good.
0:15:04 > 0:15:07He let go of the ball, I'm going to let him know I like that.
0:15:07 > 0:15:09That was really good. Very good.
0:15:09 > 0:15:11That was really good, can he do it again?
0:15:13 > 0:15:15That's it, tell him to go.
0:15:15 > 0:15:20Look at that, three jumps, he gets it. Slow down a bit, back over.
0:15:20 > 0:15:23Good, make sure he goes over all three. Keep going.
0:15:23 > 0:15:26- Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. - Yes, he's done it.
0:15:26 > 0:15:27That is amazing progress.
0:15:27 > 0:15:30Daniel and Todd, you guys are looking really good.
0:15:30 > 0:15:33Don't just be discouraged. I can't emphasise that enough with you.
0:15:33 > 0:15:35I know you want to succeed and I like that,
0:15:35 > 0:15:36but keep it happy at all times.
0:15:36 > 0:15:38You're getting much better, my friend.
0:15:38 > 0:15:40Ella and Charlie, come over here
0:15:40 > 0:15:43and if Charlie will give me this ball, thank you very much.
0:15:43 > 0:15:45He's getting much better with this.
0:15:45 > 0:15:48Why don't you show me how you guys have been doing.
0:15:48 > 0:15:49Charlie, what's that?
0:15:49 > 0:15:54Your goal here is to get the ball and get him over this jump. That's good.
0:15:54 > 0:15:56That's it, perfect.
0:15:57 > 0:15:59Charlie's focused, but on the wrong ball.
0:15:59 > 0:16:02Go ahead and try to toss this a little bit.
0:16:02 > 0:16:04Play a little fetch with it.
0:16:04 > 0:16:07Now we've got him interested in that ball.
0:16:07 > 0:16:09That's OK. Your patience is very admirable.
0:16:09 > 0:16:12I'm going to give this one to you.
0:16:12 > 0:16:14Let me have this one.
0:16:14 > 0:16:19See if you can get him to get this one. Let's try over two jumps.
0:16:19 > 0:16:21Whenever you're ready.
0:16:21 > 0:16:24- Take it. - Not that ball, Charlie!
0:16:24 > 0:16:26He's a determined little fella, isn't he?
0:16:26 > 0:16:29He wants to do it his way, but you've got to let him know
0:16:29 > 0:16:32that you'll do it his way, but he's got to earn it.
0:16:32 > 0:16:33- Does that make sense?- Yes.
0:16:33 > 0:16:38Very good work. All right guys, you have one more week until Showtime
0:16:38 > 0:16:41and I can't wait to see who comes out on top on this one.
0:16:41 > 0:16:43- See you later. Bye!- Bye!
0:16:43 > 0:16:45I'm sort of feeling confident.
0:16:45 > 0:16:49I just don't know if Charlie will be able to listen.
0:16:49 > 0:16:51Charlie, drop.
0:16:51 > 0:16:52Drop it. Drop it.
0:16:55 > 0:17:03My training plan is going to be follow Todd and guide him
0:17:03 > 0:17:04to jump over every single one.
0:17:04 > 0:17:08I feel very confident about the final round in this trick
0:17:08 > 0:17:11because I think Todd is going to give it 110%.
0:17:12 > 0:17:16So, here's Zak's five steps to teaching your dog flyball.
0:17:16 > 0:17:19One, encourage your dog to take the ball from the box
0:17:19 > 0:17:21by getting a running start.
0:17:21 > 0:17:23Two, once your dog is happy with this step,
0:17:23 > 0:17:27ask them to jump one hurdle before taking the ball.
0:17:27 > 0:17:31Three, next, encourage your dog to jump over a hurdle
0:17:31 > 0:17:34before and after collecting the ball.
0:17:34 > 0:17:39Four, move onto two jumps, then three, running with your dog
0:17:39 > 0:17:41when you need to encourage them.
0:17:41 > 0:17:44Five, finally, stay behind the first hurdle
0:17:44 > 0:17:47and hopefully your dog will know exactly what to do.
0:17:51 > 0:17:53Today I'm going to show you how to teach your dog an acting trick.
0:17:53 > 0:17:55Come on in, Nelly.
0:17:57 > 0:18:00Usually when I'm teaching a trick, I like to put them into a sit.
0:18:00 > 0:18:04That's something they already know, gets them into training mode.
0:18:04 > 0:18:08It helps if your dog knows how to give you their paw or how to wave.
0:18:08 > 0:18:10Can I have your paw? Very good.
0:18:10 > 0:18:12I'm keeping the treats nice and small.
0:18:12 > 0:18:14I'm going to lure her into a stand.
0:18:14 > 0:18:17By lure, I just mean show her the treat. Very good.
0:18:17 > 0:18:19Now I'll encourage her to give me her paw.
0:18:19 > 0:18:23I'll tickle the paw until she picks it up. Yes, good.
0:18:23 > 0:18:27I'm going to hold it here and lure her forward, encouraging her to walk.
0:18:27 > 0:18:30Yes, good girl. I'm going to put a command to it, we'll call it limp.
0:18:30 > 0:18:32Come on, over here. Limp.
0:18:32 > 0:18:34Yes, very, very good.
0:18:34 > 0:18:37Now let's see if she can do it without me touching her paw at all.
0:18:37 > 0:18:40Are you ready? Limp.
0:18:40 > 0:18:42Very good, did you see that, she's making an effort.
0:18:42 > 0:18:46We're going back this way, see if she can do it.
0:18:46 > 0:18:47Here we go. Limp?
0:18:47 > 0:18:50Yes, look at that. You are so cute, will you do it this way, too?
0:18:52 > 0:18:56Come on, limp, limp, limp, yes! Good girl, very good.
0:18:56 > 0:18:59That is how you teach your dog to be a professional actor
0:18:59 > 0:19:02and make their life a lot better in the process.
0:19:02 > 0:19:04That was excellent, girl, you're awesome!
0:19:09 > 0:19:12While those guys are preparing for Showtime, I'm going to kick back
0:19:12 > 0:19:15and watch some tales from around the world.
0:19:18 > 0:19:23Buster is quite possibly the bravest dog in the world.
0:19:23 > 0:19:24Ever.
0:19:24 > 0:19:27And because of his super-sensitive nose,
0:19:27 > 0:19:29he has a very important job to do.
0:19:29 > 0:19:33Buster is eight years old now. He's done four tours.
0:19:33 > 0:19:37One of Bosnia, one of Iraq and two of Afghanistan,
0:19:37 > 0:19:41and he's the RAF's most operationally experienced dog.
0:19:41 > 0:19:45All of his life, Buster has been working for the military,
0:19:45 > 0:19:47searching vehicles and helping soldiers
0:19:47 > 0:19:50by sniffing out weapons and bombs.
0:19:50 > 0:19:54Thanks to his special talent, he has saved countless lives.
0:19:55 > 0:19:57But it's not all about work.
0:19:57 > 0:20:00Buster also plays an important part
0:20:00 > 0:20:03in keeping people's spirits up when they're far away from home
0:20:03 > 0:20:05and missing their family.
0:20:05 > 0:20:09It's a comfort to have Buster out there with us to work with,
0:20:09 > 0:20:14but also when we've finished work, to have that chill-out time together
0:20:14 > 0:20:16have a cuddle, have a play,
0:20:16 > 0:20:21and take your mind off all the other things that you're thinking about.
0:20:21 > 0:20:24When he retired, he was given his own operational medals for the tours
0:20:24 > 0:20:27that he'd done, which are now displayed on his very own official
0:20:27 > 0:20:29Royal Air Force police cloak.
0:20:29 > 0:20:33Buster is about to spend his retirement in Cyprus,
0:20:33 > 0:20:34so yeah, fun in the sun.
0:20:34 > 0:20:38And I, for one, think Buster has earned it.
0:20:44 > 0:20:47Ten days of flyball training are over.
0:20:47 > 0:20:49It's time for our teams to go head to head,
0:20:49 > 0:20:53but only one can stay in the competition.
0:20:56 > 0:20:59Who will let their nerves get the better of them?
0:20:59 > 0:21:03It would mean a lot to me to get through to the next round
0:21:03 > 0:21:07cos this is, like, a lot different from what Charlie's used to doing.
0:21:07 > 0:21:10Who will crack from too much pressure?
0:21:10 > 0:21:14I feel that Todd's got more agility.
0:21:14 > 0:21:18He's striding over the hurdles so then he's got a better leap
0:21:18 > 0:21:22so I feel that's what Todd's got an advantage on.
0:21:22 > 0:21:26And who has practised hard enough to make it to the next round?
0:21:26 > 0:21:30I'm feeling quite excited cos me and Harry have been working
0:21:30 > 0:21:31really hard at this.
0:21:31 > 0:21:34But also a tiny bit nervous because I don't want to go home.
0:21:36 > 0:21:38We're all about to find out.
0:21:42 > 0:21:43It's Showtime!
0:21:43 > 0:21:47And this is where the flyball competition is taking place.
0:21:47 > 0:21:51The dogs will need to jump over all of these hurdles,
0:21:51 > 0:21:54retrieve that ball and return over all the hurdles.
0:21:54 > 0:21:56The dog that does this in the fastest time
0:21:56 > 0:22:01will move on to the semi-finals, where they will be one step closer
0:22:01 > 0:22:04to winning this baby - the very first Who Let The Dogs Out?
0:22:04 > 0:22:05top dog trainer trophy.
0:22:05 > 0:22:10So the challenge is set and the team that completes the flyball course
0:22:10 > 0:22:14in the fastest time will win, BUT if the trainers
0:22:14 > 0:22:16have to run with their dogs,
0:22:16 > 0:22:18then they will incur a 30-second time penalty,
0:22:18 > 0:22:22and any hurdles that are missed will add another five seconds
0:22:22 > 0:22:23to their overall time.
0:22:25 > 0:22:27First up - Ella and Charlie!
0:22:30 > 0:22:32From the start, Ella had trouble getting Charlie
0:22:32 > 0:22:36focussing on the right ball and jumping the hurdles.
0:22:36 > 0:22:38But Ella has been training hard at home.
0:22:38 > 0:22:41Charlie is determined and he's fast,
0:22:41 > 0:22:43but they have to clear all the jumps to compete with
0:22:43 > 0:22:45the others and be in with a chance of winning.
0:22:45 > 0:22:47Whenever you're ready!
0:22:47 > 0:22:49Go!
0:22:49 > 0:22:50And the pocket rocket is off!
0:22:50 > 0:22:53Look at the speed and focus of Charlie!
0:22:53 > 0:22:55Oh no, they've missed a hurdle!
0:22:56 > 0:23:00And another one, but they have still done better than ever.
0:23:00 > 0:23:03Let's see that again!
0:23:05 > 0:23:06Charlie went amazingly fast
0:23:06 > 0:23:08and flew over the hurdles to collect the ball!
0:23:08 > 0:23:12But he lost his focus on the way back
0:23:12 > 0:23:14swerving around the second and fourth hurdles.
0:23:14 > 0:23:17An impressive time of ten seconds for Ella and Charlie,
0:23:17 > 0:23:19but as Charlie missed two of the jumps
0:23:19 > 0:23:24and Ella had to run alongside him, a 40-second time penalty
0:23:24 > 0:23:27will be added, giving them an overall time of 50 seconds.
0:23:27 > 0:23:28Well done, you two.
0:23:29 > 0:23:32Next up - Charlotte and Harry!
0:23:32 > 0:23:36Now, you missed your last training session,
0:23:36 > 0:23:37you were feeling not too well,
0:23:37 > 0:23:39so do you feel like that will be an issue for you?
0:23:39 > 0:23:42I don't think so because me and Harry have been training
0:23:42 > 0:23:44every single day since.
0:23:44 > 0:23:47OK. Why don't you go and get Harry, and good luck to you today.
0:23:47 > 0:23:51Although Charlotte and Harry had done some flyball training,
0:23:51 > 0:23:53Charlotte was having trouble
0:23:53 > 0:23:56getting Harry to come back to her with the ball.
0:23:56 > 0:23:59And then poor Charlotte missed a vital training lesson.
0:23:59 > 0:24:03Has this ruined her chances of going through to the next round?
0:24:03 > 0:24:04I hope not.
0:24:04 > 0:24:06Whenever you're ready.
0:24:06 > 0:24:08Go!
0:24:09 > 0:24:12Wow! Look at Harry go. He's as fast as lightening!
0:24:12 > 0:24:14But will he do all the jumps on the way back?
0:24:14 > 0:24:16YES!
0:24:16 > 0:24:17Well done, Charlotte and Harry!
0:24:17 > 0:24:19Well done, Charlotte, nice work.
0:24:19 > 0:24:21Let's look at that again!
0:24:21 > 0:24:23Harry was quick off Charlotte's command.
0:24:23 > 0:24:26He soared over the hurdles to get that ball.
0:24:26 > 0:24:29Then he bolted back over every hurdle like a true professional.
0:24:29 > 0:24:31Amazing!
0:24:31 > 0:24:33Charlotte and Harry are now in the lead
0:24:33 > 0:24:36with an impressive time of 6.5 seconds,
0:24:36 > 0:24:39but have they done enough to beat Daniel and Todd?
0:24:42 > 0:24:44Next up - Daniel and Todd!
0:24:47 > 0:24:49When we last saw Daniel and Todd,
0:24:49 > 0:24:54they were clearing all the hurdles and looking like the ones to beat,
0:24:54 > 0:24:58BUT Daniel was still running beside Todd.
0:24:58 > 0:25:02So, has Todd learnt to flyball without Daniel's help?
0:25:02 > 0:25:05And can they beat Charlotte and Harry's
0:25:05 > 0:25:07amazing time of 6.5 seconds?
0:25:08 > 0:25:10Well, it's time to find out!
0:25:11 > 0:25:12Now, this is interesting.
0:25:12 > 0:25:15Daniel is jumping over the hurdles to load the ball.
0:25:15 > 0:25:17He's making sure that Todd is super-focussed
0:25:17 > 0:25:21and only has eyes for the tennis ball.
0:25:21 > 0:25:23I wonder if it will work?
0:25:23 > 0:25:24And Todd is off to a fast start,
0:25:24 > 0:25:27without Daniel having to run next to him. Yes!
0:25:27 > 0:25:29He's got the tennis ball
0:25:29 > 0:25:31and is making it back over all of the jumps!
0:25:31 > 0:25:35As expected, a fantastic performance by this team!
0:25:35 > 0:25:36Let's see it again!
0:25:38 > 0:25:40Todd took off with great speed
0:25:40 > 0:25:42and glided gracefully over the jumps.
0:25:42 > 0:25:46And there was no question that Todd had his eyes on the prize.
0:25:46 > 0:25:50But was their time quick enough to take them into the semi-final?
0:25:50 > 0:25:52That's the big one.
0:25:56 > 0:25:59You guys did an incredible job.
0:25:59 > 0:26:01I cannot believe the progress you had in just the last time
0:26:01 > 0:26:03that I saw you.
0:26:03 > 0:26:06All three of your dogs just looked incredible today.
0:26:06 > 0:26:09I can tell that each and every one of you put in the time with your dogs
0:26:09 > 0:26:11and that means everything,
0:26:11 > 0:26:13and remember, guys, whether or not you win today,
0:26:13 > 0:26:14that is what it's about.
0:26:14 > 0:26:18That being said, I can now reveal
0:26:18 > 0:26:22that the winner of today's flyball challenge,
0:26:22 > 0:26:25and the team that will move on to the semi-finals

0:26:34 > 0:26:37Congratulations, you have made it into the top three!
0:26:39 > 0:26:42Although Daniel and Todd completed the flyball course
0:26:42 > 0:26:45in an incredible eight seconds,
0:26:45 > 0:26:47it just was not fast enough to beat Charlotte and Harry.
0:26:49 > 0:26:51Tell me how you feel about it.
0:26:51 > 0:26:53I feel really excited.
0:26:53 > 0:26:56And he did really well today.

0:27:42 > 0:27:47It's the last quarter-final, so you had better watch it, all right?
0:27:47 > 0:27:51On a scale of one to ten, I am ten
0:27:51 > 0:27:54because I'm so excited about being in the next round.
0:27:54 > 0:27:58The final for me and Charlie didn't go very well,
0:27:58 > 0:28:00but I'm still very proud of him.
0:28:00 > 0:28:03My message to Charlotte is to give it 110%
0:28:03 > 0:28:07because I fear that the people she will be up against
0:28:07 > 0:28:08are going to be very tough to beat.
