0:01:20 > 0:01:23and Charlotte and Whispa have all made it through to the quarterfinals

0:01:23 > 0:01:25but they face yet another challenge.

0:01:25 > 0:01:27Let's take a look at their journey so far.

0:01:32 > 0:01:34Just 27 teams made it to The Dog House

0:01:34 > 0:01:36for the first round of heats

0:01:36 > 0:01:41where they had to jump, volley, dive, bounce

0:01:41 > 0:01:44and even catapult their way to the next round.

0:01:44 > 0:01:48Genevieve and Monty Zoom, Talia and Crystal

0:01:48 > 0:01:51and Charlotte and Whispa mastered three of Zak's toughest challenges

0:01:51 > 0:01:54to make it here to the quarterfinal!

0:01:56 > 0:01:57In the heats,

0:01:57 > 0:02:01Genevieve and Monty Zoom were given an ambitious stunt,

0:02:01 > 0:02:03the Knee-Stall Challenge.

0:02:03 > 0:02:06They had a slow start and it took them longer to learn the trick.

0:02:06 > 0:02:09Why don't you go back to putting it on the ground

0:02:09 > 0:02:10to rebuild his confidence.

0:02:10 > 0:02:11They turned it around

0:02:11 > 0:02:14with a balancing masterclass at Showtime

0:02:14 > 0:02:17to secure their place in the quarterfinal.

0:02:18 > 0:02:21- Good boy.- Nice work. Very, very, very good work.

0:02:21 > 0:02:23I have a chance to make it to the final.

0:02:23 > 0:02:28Everybody has a chance and you've just got to take that chance.

0:02:28 > 0:02:31Talia and Crystal had a tough task with the Pram Pushing Challenge.

0:02:31 > 0:02:32Right there.

0:02:32 > 0:02:34I didn't expect her to do it immediately.

0:02:34 > 0:02:38Talia struggled to motivate Crystal in training, which held them back.

0:02:38 > 0:02:41I think, right now, if you were a little more enthusiastic,

0:02:41 > 0:02:44a little more energetic, you would have better results.

0:02:44 > 0:02:47But they pulled out all the stops at Showtime...

0:02:47 > 0:02:50Come on, push. Good girl.

0:02:50 > 0:02:54..and delivered an unbelievable performance to win the challenge!

0:02:54 > 0:02:56- Good girl.- Really, really good work.

0:02:56 > 0:02:59I'm excited to go into the next round.

0:02:59 > 0:03:03Crystal is still young, so she'll probably pick up tricks quicker

0:03:03 > 0:03:04and easier.

0:03:04 > 0:03:07I think that's a good advantage.

0:03:07 > 0:03:10Charlotte and Whispa were up against strong competition

0:03:10 > 0:03:12in the Barrel Balancing Challenge.

0:03:12 > 0:03:15- Look at the legs moving. - Stay.- Very nice.

0:03:15 > 0:03:18Charlotte was finding it difficult to control

0:03:18 > 0:03:19Whispa's speed on the barrel!

0:03:19 > 0:03:24It's better to go steady than it is super fast.

0:03:24 > 0:03:27But at Showtime, Charlotte and Whispa found their rhythm

0:03:27 > 0:03:30and rocketed their way to victory!

0:03:31 > 0:03:34- Absolutely incredible. - I'm really, really pleased.

0:03:34 > 0:03:36Whispa did her best that she's ever done

0:03:36 > 0:03:39and I can't wait to find out the next trick.

0:03:40 > 0:03:44Genevieve and Monty Zoom, Talia and Crystal

0:03:44 > 0:03:47and Charlotte and Whispa triumphed in their first task,

0:03:47 > 0:03:51but Zak's next challenge is going to be even tougher!

0:03:53 > 0:03:56# Who Let the Dogs Out? #

0:03:57 > 0:03:59Time for the teams to find out

0:03:59 > 0:04:02exactly what Zak has in store for them.

0:04:02 > 0:04:04Good morning, guys.

0:04:05 > 0:04:08- So, how is everyone doing today? - Good.- Good, thank you.

0:04:08 > 0:04:11Now, today's stunt is called Tempt and Scent.

0:04:11 > 0:04:14For this stunt you will need to guide your dog,

0:04:14 > 0:04:18from a distance, through a course of ridiculously juicy treats.

0:04:18 > 0:04:20Not only must your dog seek out a specific object

0:04:20 > 0:04:22among the temptations,

0:04:22 > 0:04:25but they will also need to pick it up and bring it to you

0:04:25 > 0:04:26without getting distracted.

0:04:26 > 0:04:29The winner will be the dog that completes the course

0:04:29 > 0:04:31in the shortest time.

0:04:31 > 0:04:32- You ready to get into training?- Yes.

0:04:32 > 0:04:35I'll start with Genevieve and Monty Zoom. Come over here.

0:04:35 > 0:04:37Come on, Monty.

0:04:37 > 0:04:40So, here we've got all these distracting things.

0:04:40 > 0:04:42The first thing we'll do before we even

0:04:42 > 0:04:44ask him to fetch is teach him how to leave

0:04:44 > 0:04:47that treat alone. I can promise you,

0:04:47 > 0:04:49probably within the next 30 seconds or so,

0:04:49 > 0:04:52he's not going to want to touch that and we're not going to pull him away.

0:04:52 > 0:04:54So, Monty Zoom, look what I got.

0:04:54 > 0:04:56I'm going to take a piece, let him smell it.

0:04:56 > 0:05:00I want him to know this is good food but I'm not going to let him have it.

0:05:00 > 0:05:02I really want to tempt him with it.

0:05:02 > 0:05:03I'm going to drop it on the ground here

0:05:03 > 0:05:05and I'm going to cover it up.

0:05:05 > 0:05:07See right there, he's trying to go for it.

0:05:07 > 0:05:10I'm going to wait for him to go away. Leave it. Very good.

0:05:10 > 0:05:12I'm going to pick it up and let him have a bite.

0:05:12 > 0:05:16Let him know that when you listen to me, I'll give you what you want.

0:05:16 > 0:05:18Notice I'm getting close to him here.

0:05:18 > 0:05:20I want him to hear me. Leave this alone.

0:05:24 > 0:05:28See this? Leave it alone.

0:05:28 > 0:05:32I'm not pulling him away though. Do you know what I mean?

0:05:32 > 0:05:35The reason for that is, we want our dogs to think.

0:05:35 > 0:05:36We don't want to pull them.

0:05:36 > 0:05:39I was comfortable going close because I know him.

0:05:39 > 0:05:42You wouldn't normally get into a dog's face that you didn't know.

0:05:42 > 0:05:45Do you know what I mean? You know he's comfortable with that.

0:05:45 > 0:05:47Leave this alone.

0:05:48 > 0:05:50Wow! That's amazing.

0:05:50 > 0:05:53Zak was right about learning, "Leave it," in 30 seconds.

0:05:53 > 0:05:54Leave it alone.

0:05:58 > 0:05:59That's beautiful.

0:05:59 > 0:06:05Monty is definitely up to the task because he always is, usually!

0:06:05 > 0:06:09Um, because he's just that sort of dog that sometimes listens,

0:06:09 > 0:06:10sometimes doesn't.

0:06:10 > 0:06:13I think this is the sort of one that he will do.

0:06:13 > 0:06:14Charlotte and Whispa.

0:06:14 > 0:06:17I wonder if Whispa can learn it in 30 seconds too.

0:06:17 > 0:06:19Show me your loose leash.

0:06:19 > 0:06:20The same thing here, it's tempting

0:06:20 > 0:06:22to pull him away.

0:06:22 > 0:06:23Use this is an opportunity.

0:06:23 > 0:06:26Most people will get discouraged by their dog doing this.

0:06:26 > 0:06:29When I see this, I see a training opportunity. So, watch this.

0:06:29 > 0:06:34- Leave it alone.- Leave it.- Oh, good. Oh, you're so quick.

0:06:34 > 0:06:35You're as quick as I was there.

0:06:35 > 0:06:38That's pretty good. Leave this alone, I'm serious.

0:06:38 > 0:06:41- Leave it!- Looks like Zak's serious voice worked.

0:06:41 > 0:06:44- Leave it alone.- Or maybe it didn't.

0:06:44 > 0:06:46Leave it alone!

0:06:47 > 0:06:49Leave it.

0:06:49 > 0:06:52- Leave it alone.- Leave.

0:06:52 > 0:06:54- Leave.- Yes, good, very good.

0:06:54 > 0:06:57If we just take the time to do it right in the beginning,

0:06:57 > 0:06:59we'll get better results moving forward.

0:06:59 > 0:07:01- Keep up the good work.- Whispa.

0:07:01 > 0:07:05When Zach mentioned that the trick was Tempt and Scent,

0:07:05 > 0:07:09I was really nervous because Whispa is not that good at fetch

0:07:09 > 0:07:13but then she was better at the leave than I thought. Good girl.

0:07:13 > 0:07:16If Crystal is as good at leave it as the other two,

0:07:16 > 0:07:18we're going to have a serious competition.

0:07:18 > 0:07:20Nice work. That looks like roast beef, huh?

0:07:20 > 0:07:22- Yes.- Very good. See this?

0:07:22 > 0:07:26Leave it alone. No, ma'am, what did I just say?

0:07:26 > 0:07:29Very good. That's leave it alone, very good.

0:07:29 > 0:07:31Notice I'm not just saying, "Leave."

0:07:31 > 0:07:34You can say, "Leave it alone," or watch this.

0:07:34 > 0:07:36Don't touch this.

0:07:36 > 0:07:40Dogs are capable of understanding lots of different phrases.

0:07:40 > 0:07:42We don't need to stick with one like a lot of people say.

0:07:42 > 0:07:44Do you know what I mean?

0:07:44 > 0:07:46It's about communication and your relationship.

0:07:46 > 0:07:51Leave this alone, please. You're doing very well. I appreciate that.

0:07:52 > 0:07:55Or just a hand signal. Even sign language, right? Very good.

0:07:55 > 0:07:59- Go ahead and reward her big on that. She did really well.- Good girl.

0:07:59 > 0:08:03Well, in the early stages, all three teams are looking pretty strong.

0:08:03 > 0:08:06This could get very interesting.

0:08:06 > 0:08:12My plan for training is to try and keep her concentrating,

0:08:12 > 0:08:16to make sure she doesn't try to eat the food on the floor.

0:08:16 > 0:08:19Hopefully she'll like my food better.

0:08:19 > 0:08:22Guys, you're all doing a fantastic job.

0:08:22 > 0:08:26- Keep up the good work, all right? Bye, guys.- Bye.

0:08:27 > 0:08:30Whispa, leave it. Good girl.

0:08:30 > 0:08:32Leave it.

0:08:34 > 0:08:37# Who Let the Dogs Out? #

0:08:38 > 0:08:43We all know that some dogs have very responsible jobs.

0:08:43 > 0:08:45But, if these dogs you're about to see were removal man,

0:08:45 > 0:08:47they would be terrible at their job.

0:08:50 > 0:08:52Now, to you and me,

0:08:52 > 0:08:56dogs might seem as though they have it extremely easy.

0:08:56 > 0:09:00But when we're not watching, they're busy giving something back.

0:09:00 > 0:09:02MUSIC: "9 to 5" by Dolly Parton

0:09:02 > 0:09:05Meet the dogs doing all sorts of jobs.

0:09:05 > 0:09:08Here we have a painter and decorator.

0:09:10 > 0:09:11There's a fruit picker...

0:09:14 > 0:09:16..and here's a lumberjack.

0:09:19 > 0:09:22Here we have a carpet cleaner...

0:09:25 > 0:09:26..jockey...

0:09:29 > 0:09:31..and to finish, a TV critic.

0:09:32 > 0:09:36If dogs appear lazy, it's hardly surprising.

0:09:36 > 0:09:39After a hard day's work, they're simply dog tired.

0:09:41 > 0:09:43# Who Let the Dogs Out? #

0:09:43 > 0:09:46Still to come on Who Let the Dogs Out?

0:09:46 > 0:09:49We'll meet a dog that ate hundreds of pounds.

0:09:49 > 0:09:53And one more team make it to the semifinal.

0:09:53 > 0:09:57# Who Let the Dogs Out? #

0:09:58 > 0:10:01The training is in full flow and Zak's back to see

0:10:01 > 0:10:05if the teams are any closer in getting their dogs to leave it.

0:10:05 > 0:10:08- Let me see how well leave it is looking.- Whispa.

0:10:08 > 0:10:13- Nice, OK, go out and walk past them. - Whispa, wait.

0:10:13 > 0:10:15- Whispa, leave.- This is looking very good indeed.

0:10:15 > 0:10:19- Whispa, come.- That was fantastic. That was really, really good.

0:10:19 > 0:10:22- Good girl.- Nice job, really good. - Charlotte and Whispa showing

0:10:22 > 0:10:24why they've made it so far in the competition.

0:10:24 > 0:10:26What about Genevieve and Monty Zoom?

0:10:26 > 0:10:28Leave it.

0:10:28 > 0:10:30Perfect, very good. Now see if you can do it

0:10:30 > 0:10:32while standing up.

0:10:32 > 0:10:34That's a lot harder. But, be prepared to pick him up.

0:10:34 > 0:10:38- Leave it.- Good, drop them.

0:10:38 > 0:10:40- Say it a little ahead of time.- Monty,

0:10:40 > 0:10:41leave it.

0:10:41 > 0:10:45Nice work, nice work. Really nice work.

0:10:45 > 0:10:47Looks like Genevieve and Monty Zoom

0:10:47 > 0:10:50have also mastered the first stage of training.

0:10:50 > 0:10:52But they can't ALL be this good.

0:10:52 > 0:10:55I wonder if Talia and Crystal are having trouble.

0:10:55 > 0:10:59I want to see that leash loose. Tell her to leave it alone.

0:10:59 > 0:11:00Now when she does listen to you,

0:11:00 > 0:11:04make sure you reward her with your form of currency that you have.

0:11:04 > 0:11:08- You're using real meat today. - Leave. Good girl. Good girl.

0:11:08 > 0:11:12- Perfect, yes. - No trouble here at all!

0:11:12 > 0:11:16- Leave.- Excellent work guys, keep working on that, nice.

0:11:16 > 0:11:17I am beginning to think

0:11:17 > 0:11:20this stunt is just too easy for these quarterfinalists.

0:11:20 > 0:11:25I'm a bit more confident because she got the hang of it

0:11:25 > 0:11:28and her leave it has got even better in the training session.

0:11:28 > 0:11:30I think it'll be all right.

0:11:30 > 0:11:35The hardest bit of training was getting Monty to leave the food

0:11:35 > 0:11:37because he is a big fan of food.

0:11:39 > 0:11:42I'm pretty confident because none of the people in our group

0:11:42 > 0:11:46really have an advantage and we are all really at the same stage.

0:11:46 > 0:11:49Whispa learns things really quickly, so, if I can do enough training,

0:11:49 > 0:11:51she should have a really good chance.

0:11:51 > 0:11:56Crystal, Monty Zoom and Whispa all look pretty different, but,

0:11:56 > 0:11:58let's take a look at their mutt measurements

0:11:58 > 0:11:59and see what makes them tick.

0:11:59 > 0:12:03Whispa is an English cocker spaniel.

0:12:03 > 0:12:06Spaniels were bred for chasing birds

0:12:06 > 0:12:09which means that Whispa should love chasing toys

0:12:09 > 0:12:13and should have no trouble with the fetching part of the challenge.

0:12:13 > 0:12:16Crystal is a white German shepherd.

0:12:16 > 0:12:19German Shepherds are usually clever and alert.

0:12:19 > 0:12:22If Crystal is true to her breed, she should stay focussed

0:12:22 > 0:12:23throughout this challenge.

0:12:25 > 0:12:28Two-year-old, Monty Zoom, is a papillon.

0:12:28 > 0:12:31Papillons are a type of spaniel.

0:12:31 > 0:12:33They usually find learning

0:12:33 > 0:12:35new tricks very easy.

0:12:35 > 0:12:39But will Monty Zoom learn this new challenge as easily as his last?

0:12:42 > 0:12:45# Who Let The Dogs Out? #

0:12:45 > 0:12:47Showtime is only days away

0:12:47 > 0:12:51when just one team will go through to the semifinal.

0:12:51 > 0:12:53The teams have returned to The Dog House

0:12:53 > 0:12:56for one last training session with Zach.

0:12:56 > 0:12:58- Hey, guys, how are you?- Good.

0:12:58 > 0:13:01We have so far to go on training tonight. I know you can do it.

0:13:01 > 0:13:03The stronger their fetch,

0:13:03 > 0:13:06the better they're going to do with this stunt, I believe.

0:13:06 > 0:13:08That's what we're going to work on.

0:13:08 > 0:13:11Let's start with Charlotte and Whispa.

0:13:11 > 0:13:14Go ahead and take a break and I'll be with you in just a minute.

0:13:14 > 0:13:18We're going to really work on basically how to fetch something.

0:13:18 > 0:13:21- How to pick it up and bring it back. Cool with that?- Yes.

0:13:21 > 0:13:22All right, there we go.

0:13:22 > 0:13:25So, now we have a long lead, so now we can have control of Whispa.

0:13:25 > 0:13:29Why don't you try and get Whispa interested in the toy,

0:13:29 > 0:13:31any toy I am fine with.

0:13:31 > 0:13:34What's this? What's this? Whispa, Whispa, come.

0:13:34 > 0:13:38- Take your time.- Whispa, what's this? What's this?

0:13:38 > 0:13:41Whispa doesn't seem interested in that ball.

0:13:41 > 0:13:44Maybe a different toy might work.

0:13:44 > 0:13:47- That one is it. You saw that spark, didn't you? Get it.- Get it then.

0:13:47 > 0:13:52Yes, good. You get that duck. You get that duck.

0:13:52 > 0:13:56- Good, now throw it, throw it over here.- Whispa, ready? Come.

0:13:56 > 0:13:59Looks like Charlotte has her work cut out

0:13:59 > 0:14:01on the fetch element of the challenge.

0:14:01 > 0:14:04You're going to have to work on this on your own, you know?

0:14:04 > 0:14:06What I want you to focus on is eventually,

0:14:06 > 0:14:10having the toy over here, encouraging Whispa to get it and then run back

0:14:10 > 0:14:15over a tonne of distractions, like food, like toys, like everything.

0:14:15 > 0:14:18That's what you're working towards.

0:14:18 > 0:14:21I found it pretty tough today in the training session,

0:14:21 > 0:14:25because Whispa didn't really want to play with her toy

0:14:25 > 0:14:28and she was just standing there and wasn't interested at all.

0:14:28 > 0:14:31I'm going to experiment with lots of different toys.

0:14:31 > 0:14:34What about Genevieve and Monty Zoom?

0:14:34 > 0:14:36Genevieve is trying him with a toy mouse.

0:14:36 > 0:14:39Do what you want to get him interested.

0:14:39 > 0:14:41Go get it. Get the mouse. Go get it.

0:14:41 > 0:14:47- Go get it.- That's it, that's good, stay with him. You can come up here.

0:14:47 > 0:14:50- Very good.- What's this? What is this, Monty?

0:14:50 > 0:14:53Monty is not impressed with that mouse at all.

0:14:53 > 0:14:56And isn't it cats that are supposed to chase mice?

0:14:56 > 0:14:59He might like that ball more than that silly cat toy.

0:14:59 > 0:15:02He might look like a cat but he's still a dog.

0:15:02 > 0:15:06Zak! That's the ultimate insult to a dog!

0:15:06 > 0:15:09- Good dog!- Good! Bring it back. Let's go. Let's go.

0:15:09 > 0:15:12Swapping the mouse for that ball seems to have worked

0:15:12 > 0:15:15and Monty is definitely more interested.

0:15:15 > 0:15:16Genevieve, at Showtime

0:15:16 > 0:15:19he just needs to bring it back past the finish line.

0:15:19 > 0:15:20It's not critical that he lets go of it

0:15:20 > 0:15:23for this challenge. Just so you understand.

0:15:23 > 0:15:26My training plan is get out loads of treats,

0:15:26 > 0:15:30scatter them in my living room or outside,

0:15:30 > 0:15:34and hide his ball and then make him find it.

0:15:34 > 0:15:37Maybe this challenge is going to be harder than I thought.

0:15:37 > 0:15:40I wonder if Talia and Crystal can do better.

0:15:40 > 0:15:43Now let's go ahead and practise that.

0:15:43 > 0:15:44Show me what you've got here.

0:15:44 > 0:15:46Let me see where you are and then I can give you advice.

0:15:46 > 0:15:50- Very nice, very nice.- Good girl. - Good.- Crystal!- Uh oh.

0:15:50 > 0:15:54What's going on? This is the quarterfinals.

0:15:54 > 0:15:57Surely fetch should be a walk in the park for these dogs?

0:15:57 > 0:15:59You know what? She likes that duck.

0:15:59 > 0:16:01Let's go ahead and make that the main toy now.

0:16:01 > 0:16:04Good! Now back up here.

0:16:04 > 0:16:07- Good girl!- Run away, run away! - Come on, Crystal. Come on, Crystal.

0:16:07 > 0:16:10By running, we're encouraging her to chase us. Very, very nice.

0:16:10 > 0:16:14- That's more like it. Now we're fetching.- She loves that duck.

0:16:14 > 0:16:18Crystal, you can have the duck. You can take it with you, angel.

0:16:18 > 0:16:20- Come on.- Nice work today!

0:16:20 > 0:16:24Crystal preferred this duck. She fell in love with it.

0:16:24 > 0:16:26Zak said I should use this instead of her ball.

0:16:26 > 0:16:28QUACK! QUACK!

0:16:28 > 0:16:30Now you have a lot to work on - obviously.

0:16:30 > 0:16:32I want you to focus on using one toy

0:16:32 > 0:16:36in training and making that toy special.

0:16:36 > 0:16:39Also, start introducing heavy distractions.

0:16:39 > 0:16:42Guys, I can't emphasise this enough.

0:16:42 > 0:16:45We're talking about food. We're talking about toys.

0:16:45 > 0:16:47Stuff will be moving around all over the place

0:16:47 > 0:16:50and your dog has to go through that jungle and get that item

0:16:50 > 0:16:52and bring it back to you.

0:16:52 > 0:16:54You cannot prepare enough for this.

0:16:54 > 0:16:57We will see you right back here at The Dog House for Showtime.

0:16:57 > 0:16:58All right, guys?

0:16:58 > 0:17:01- Yeah.- See you later. Bye.- Bye.

0:17:01 > 0:17:04Teaching your dog to come to you when temptation's around

0:17:04 > 0:17:07may take a while, but the results are well worth it.

0:17:07 > 0:17:10Here are Zak's four steps on how to avoid temptation.

0:17:10 > 0:17:15One. Teach your dog to leave food alone from a distance.

0:17:15 > 0:17:18Two. Introduce a toy and encourage your dog to fetch it

0:17:18 > 0:17:21and bring it back to you from nearby treats.

0:17:21 > 0:17:25Three. Continue with this until your dog will even fetch the toy

0:17:25 > 0:17:28from among the tastiest of treats.

0:17:28 > 0:17:32Four. Finally, place the toy in your own temptation arena

0:17:32 > 0:17:37and have your dog bring it to you without even stopping for a sniff.

0:17:41 > 0:17:44Today I'll show you how to teach your dog to go to bed.

0:17:44 > 0:17:47Come on in, Nelly. Hey, beautiful girl! Come on. You can do it.

0:17:47 > 0:17:52I know. There you are. I've got a treat for you. You look great today.

0:17:52 > 0:17:54All right. So, I've got a bed over here.

0:17:54 > 0:17:56Nelly knows how to lie down so I want to encourage her

0:17:56 > 0:17:58to lie down on the bed. I like that.

0:17:58 > 0:18:01She's on the bed - not completely - but that's good enough

0:18:01 > 0:18:04for me, especially in the beginning. She identifies this on the ground.

0:18:04 > 0:18:06She knows this as a spot. It looks different.

0:18:06 > 0:18:09Dogs are smart. They can get that. Nelly, come on. Over here. Good!

0:18:09 > 0:18:12Very good. I don't want to go too far away immediately.

0:18:12 > 0:18:16Now, Nelly, when you come over here, lie down, go to bed.

0:18:16 > 0:18:20I'm introducing that new term, that new phrase to her. That's fantastic.

0:18:20 > 0:18:22Come here! Very good. Over here.

0:18:22 > 0:18:24I'm going to try and do it from a bit farther away now.

0:18:24 > 0:18:26All right, Nelly. Come on over here.

0:18:26 > 0:18:31Using very exaggerated body language. Go to bed. Very good.

0:18:31 > 0:18:33Now let's see if we can do it a bit further away.

0:18:33 > 0:18:36Come on, Nelly, over here! Here we go. Are you ready?

0:18:36 > 0:18:39Hey, Nelly, go to bed!

0:18:40 > 0:18:42Check this out.

0:18:42 > 0:18:46Oh, you're such a rock star, girl. I love you.

0:18:46 > 0:18:49That is fantastic. That's how you teach your dog to go to bed.

0:18:49 > 0:18:52A lot of fun. Very, very good.

0:18:54 > 0:18:56# Who Let the Dogs Out? #

0:18:58 > 0:19:01As we know, dogs love food.

0:19:01 > 0:19:04Some dogs will eat anything - and I mean ANYTHING.

0:19:09 > 0:19:15This is Lewis, a guide dog for Claire, who's blind!

0:19:15 > 0:19:17Like most guide dogs, Lewis is very well behaved,

0:19:17 > 0:19:20or, at least, he usually is.

0:19:20 > 0:19:23You see, one night,

0:19:23 > 0:19:27Claire's husband Gordon left money from a Christmas charity collection

0:19:27 > 0:19:32on the kitchen table. In the morning, it was gone!

0:19:32 > 0:19:34I thought, "What's the dog eaten now?

0:19:34 > 0:19:36"He's eaten some newspaper or something."

0:19:36 > 0:19:38Then I saw the Queen's head and realised that what he'd eaten

0:19:38 > 0:19:41was all the £5 notes, the £10 notes, the £20 notes

0:19:41 > 0:19:43from the carol concert collection.

0:19:43 > 0:19:48It turned out that Lewis had eaten £250.

0:19:48 > 0:19:52Claire and Gordon collected Lewis's poo in a bag

0:19:52 > 0:19:56and asked the bank if they could change it back into money.

0:19:56 > 0:19:59Amazingly, the bank said, "Yes!"

0:19:59 > 0:20:01Well, it was for charity after all.

0:20:02 > 0:20:05I don't know if the money even touched the sides.

0:20:05 > 0:20:07LEWIS RUMBLES

0:20:07 > 0:20:09You know we're talking about you, don't you?

0:20:10 > 0:20:12LEWIS RUMBLES

0:20:12 > 0:20:14So, Lewis was forgiven

0:20:14 > 0:20:17and the charity got a lovely Christmas present

0:20:17 > 0:20:19that didn't smell at all.

0:20:21 > 0:20:23# Who Let the Dogs Out? #

0:20:25 > 0:20:28Eight days of hard-core training are over

0:20:28 > 0:20:30and it's time for our three teams

0:20:30 > 0:20:34to go head-to-head for a place in the semifinal!

0:20:36 > 0:20:38Only one can stay in the competition.

0:20:38 > 0:20:43It would mean a lot to me and Whispa to get through to the next round

0:20:43 > 0:20:45because I love teaching her new tricks.

0:20:45 > 0:20:47I've really enjoyed it so far.

0:20:47 > 0:20:50Who will keep their focus?

0:20:50 > 0:20:52I'm feeling quite confident.

0:20:52 > 0:20:56Eager to see how the trick's actually set out

0:20:56 > 0:20:58and how far the distance is.

0:20:58 > 0:21:02And who will lose their nerve?

0:21:02 > 0:21:04I think I'm under quite a lot of pressure

0:21:04 > 0:21:07because he's the smallest dog and he can move quite fast.

0:21:07 > 0:21:08But I don't know whether he'll want to.

0:21:10 > 0:21:13It's time to find out.

0:21:13 > 0:21:14# Who Let the Dogs Out? #

0:21:17 > 0:21:19It's Showtime at The Dog House

0:21:19 > 0:21:22and this is the course they're going to be negotiating.

0:21:22 > 0:21:24Guys, this is not going to be easy.

0:21:24 > 0:21:27In fact, this is bordering on impossible.

0:21:27 > 0:21:31Now, one by one, the dogs are going to enter the Temptation Arena,

0:21:31 > 0:21:34where they will be asked to retrieve their trainer's object.

0:21:34 > 0:21:37The dog who retrieves their object in the fastest time

0:21:37 > 0:21:40will move on to the semifinals, where they will be one step closer

0:21:40 > 0:21:44to winning the Who Let The Dogs Out? top dog trainer trophy.

0:21:44 > 0:21:48The trainers must remain outside the arena

0:21:48 > 0:21:51and will send their dogs through the tunnel

0:21:51 > 0:21:53where they'll run straight into the sausage curtain.

0:21:53 > 0:21:56Even if they resist THAT temptation,

0:21:56 > 0:22:00they'll encounter so many other toys and treats that ANYTHING can happen.

0:22:00 > 0:22:03They'll have to pass the pee post,

0:22:03 > 0:22:06go around the gravy fountain,

0:22:06 > 0:22:08and even leap over some roaming rats.

0:22:08 > 0:22:11Good luck with THAT guys!

0:22:11 > 0:22:14First up, Genevieve and Monty Zoom.

0:22:15 > 0:22:18Genevieve taught Monty to leave food on the ground very quickly

0:22:18 > 0:22:21but he was a little distracted when Genevieve asked him to fetch.

0:22:21 > 0:22:24Will this be a problem in the Temptation Arena,

0:22:24 > 0:22:28where there are even MORE distractions?

0:22:28 > 0:22:30All right. Let me see your toy here.

0:22:30 > 0:22:32It's time to find out

0:22:32 > 0:22:34if the tiny tennis ball can hold Monty's attention.

0:22:34 > 0:22:36BALL SQUEAKS

0:22:36 > 0:22:38Take the ball!

0:22:38 > 0:22:40And he's off!

0:22:40 > 0:22:45Straight as a dart, over the rats, and back to Genevieve!

0:22:45 > 0:22:47Amazing!

0:22:47 > 0:22:51- Good boy. - Genevieve and Monty Zoom, great job!

0:22:51 > 0:22:54I had no idea that he was going to do so well.

0:22:54 > 0:22:57He seems such a small dog and he does like food.

0:22:57 > 0:23:00Right from the off, Monty Zoom's focus is on that tennis ball.

0:23:00 > 0:23:03He runs straight past the chicken dinner

0:23:03 > 0:23:05and not even a glance at the Parma ham -

0:23:05 > 0:23:10all in an incredible 6.5 seconds. Fantastic!

0:23:10 > 0:23:13Monty Zoom was completely immune to temptation.

0:23:13 > 0:23:17But has he gone fast enough to beat the dogs with longer legs?

0:23:17 > 0:23:20Next up, Charlotte and Whispa.

0:23:22 > 0:23:25Charlotte taught Whispa the "leave it" command very quickly

0:23:25 > 0:23:28but struggled when it came to learning "fetch" -

0:23:28 > 0:23:32a command that is pretty vital for this challenge.

0:23:32 > 0:23:34What's that? What's that?

0:23:34 > 0:23:38She has chosen a green turtle sock toy. Can it hold Whispa's focus

0:23:38 > 0:23:41and would it help this team to turn things around?

0:23:41 > 0:23:42Mm-hm.

0:23:42 > 0:23:44Where's your toy? Ready?

0:23:44 > 0:23:46Find it! Find it!

0:23:46 > 0:23:49Hang on. Charlotte's decided to go on the course.

0:23:51 > 0:23:54- What's this?- And isn't Whispa supposed to be picking up the toy?

0:23:54 > 0:23:58There's going to be penalty points added to their score for that.

0:23:58 > 0:23:59Good girl!

0:23:59 > 0:24:02Charlotte, Whispa, wonderful job!

0:24:02 > 0:24:04You are free to go. Nice work.

0:24:04 > 0:24:08Whispa just wasn't interested in her toy enough.

0:24:08 > 0:24:11I had to go on with her and show her the toy.

0:24:12 > 0:24:15Whispa ran through the tunnel but Charlotte had to make sure

0:24:15 > 0:24:18she was waiting the other side. And it's a good job she was

0:24:18 > 0:24:21because when Whispa saw the tasty teddy bear's picnic,

0:24:21 > 0:24:22it was nearly all over.

0:24:22 > 0:24:28She did it in 11 seconds but a 30-second penalty will be added

0:24:28 > 0:24:30for Charlotte entering the arena,

0:24:30 > 0:24:32giving them an overall time of 41 seconds.

0:24:33 > 0:24:36Next up, Talia and Crystal.

0:24:36 > 0:24:40Talia and Crystal have shown great promise throughout training.

0:24:40 > 0:24:44Their strong bond, and Crystal's love of toys, has placed them

0:24:44 > 0:24:47well and truly in the driving seat.

0:24:47 > 0:24:50But can they beat Monty Zoom's incredibly fast time?

0:24:50 > 0:24:56They need to complete the course quicker than 6.5 seconds to win.

0:24:56 > 0:24:59If Crystal's love for that squeaky duck holds firm,

0:24:59 > 0:25:02that semifinal place could be theirs.

0:25:04 > 0:25:09- Go get it up!- And she's off. But it's a slow start from Crystal.

0:25:09 > 0:25:11Her eyes have just lit up

0:25:11 > 0:25:15with the sight of all those sausages and doggy delights.

0:25:15 > 0:25:18Oh dear! Talia has had to come into the arena

0:25:18 > 0:25:20to guide Crystal out of trouble.

0:25:20 > 0:25:22That will incur a hefty time penalty

0:25:22 > 0:25:24and it looks like Crystal's forgotten

0:25:24 > 0:25:26all about her precious ducky.

0:25:26 > 0:25:30All these temptations are clearly too much for Crystal to handle.

0:25:30 > 0:25:32Crystal, come on, come on! Don't touch.

0:25:32 > 0:25:34Crystal, come on. Come on.

0:25:34 > 0:25:37See her. Don't touch. Come.

0:25:37 > 0:25:39She's sniffing the chicken but she's not eating it.

0:25:39 > 0:25:42- Come on, Crystal.- Good girl.

0:25:42 > 0:25:46Good girl. Come on, come on!

0:25:46 > 0:25:49No! Leave the Parma ham.

0:25:49 > 0:25:52Oh, too late!

0:25:52 > 0:25:55And now she's off out of the arena. Where is she going?

0:25:55 > 0:25:59But wait, Talia has got her back and they're heading to the finish line.

0:25:59 > 0:26:02- Come on, Crystal! Come on.- Slowly.

0:26:02 > 0:26:04Fantastic energy from Talia.

0:26:04 > 0:26:06Good girl.

0:26:06 > 0:26:09And they've done it but they will be penalised.

0:26:09 > 0:26:12Really good work, Talia. Nice job!

0:26:12 > 0:26:16A 30-second penalty will be given for Talia entering the arena

0:26:16 > 0:26:19and a further ten-second penalty will be added for Crystal

0:26:19 > 0:26:20scoffing the Parma ham,

0:26:20 > 0:26:23so that gives them a total time of 1 minute 40 seconds.

0:26:23 > 0:26:26It could have gone better but Talia isn't complaining.

0:26:26 > 0:26:28She's still young and she's still learning

0:26:28 > 0:26:31so I'm quite surprised and proud of her at the same time

0:26:31 > 0:26:34that we still came this far.

0:26:34 > 0:26:36# Who Let the Dogs Out? #

0:26:38 > 0:26:44I can now reveal that the winner of today's Temptation Challenge

0:26:44 > 0:26:48and the team that will advance to the semifinal is...

0:26:49 > 0:26:51..Genevieve and Monty Zoom.

0:26:51 > 0:26:55Congratulations! You have made it into the top three.

0:26:57 > 0:27:00- Is Genevieve speechless, really? - Yes. OK.

0:27:00 > 0:27:02You did an incredible job.

0:27:02 > 0:27:06You are to be commended. You worked so hard. Give your dogs some love.

0:27:06 > 0:27:07Really, really good work.

0:27:17 > 0:27:21are going to be teaching their dogs a fantastic stunt.

0:27:21 > 0:27:25But only two will go on to the final. Don't miss it.

0:27:25 > 0:27:27Next time on Who Let the Dogs Out?

0:27:27 > 0:27:31Jake and Ice, Charlotte and Harry and Genevieve and Monty Zoom

0:27:31 > 0:27:34take on a high pressure challenge
