0:00:54 > 0:00:56# Who let the dogs out?

0:01:01 > 0:01:04# Who let the dogs out? #

0:01:04 > 0:01:10Today, on Who Let The Dogs Out, record-breaking dogs!

0:01:10 > 0:01:12A dog that thinks he's a wind-up toy!

0:01:12 > 0:01:14And three semifinalists are battling it out

0:01:14 > 0:01:16to reach the grand final.

0:01:19 > 0:01:23It is the Who Let The Dogs Out semifinal.

0:01:23 > 0:01:28Hundreds of you applied and now we have narrowed it down to just three.

0:01:28 > 0:01:30These teams are going to have to remember everything

0:01:30 > 0:01:32they've learned if they want to make it to the final.

0:01:32 > 0:01:35Let's remind ourselves what Jake and Ice,

0:01:35 > 0:01:38Charlotte and Harry and Genevieve and Monte Zoom

0:01:38 > 0:01:41have been through on the rocky road to the semifinal.

0:01:45 > 0:01:46Genevieve and Monty Zoom

0:01:46 > 0:01:48from Hampshire pulled off a shock,

0:01:48 > 0:01:52last-minute victory with an incredible knee stall

0:01:52 > 0:01:54in the first round. And Monty Zoom showed extreme

0:01:54 > 0:01:59self-control to conquer Zak's Temptation Arena for a place

0:01:59 > 0:02:03in the semifinal. Genevieve is a skilled and resourceful trainer,

0:02:03 > 0:02:07but Monty Zoom does have a tendency to ZOOM off.

0:02:07 > 0:02:10They don't call him Monty Zoom for nothing!

0:02:10 > 0:02:12If Genevieve can keep his interest,

0:02:12 > 0:02:13a place in the final could be theirs.

0:02:13 > 0:02:17The best bit of going this far is teaching Monty tricks

0:02:17 > 0:02:19and meeting Zak. It's just, like, amazing.

0:02:21 > 0:02:24Jake and Ice from Swindon put in weeks of training

0:02:24 > 0:02:27to pull off a sensational volleyball display

0:02:27 > 0:02:28in the first round.

0:02:28 > 0:02:31I hope that I can make it all the way through to the final,

0:02:31 > 0:02:33but I don't know what any of the other contestants are like.

0:02:33 > 0:02:37And it kind of depends what we are doing, as well.

0:02:37 > 0:02:39They achieved quarterfinal success

0:02:39 > 0:02:42when Ice showed off her superb goalkeeping skills.

0:02:42 > 0:02:45Ice just tearing it up out here today!

0:02:45 > 0:02:46Ice loves to play!

0:02:46 > 0:02:48And when there are toys around,

0:02:48 > 0:02:51Jake can struggle to keep her under control.

0:02:51 > 0:02:53It definitely is getting much tougher,

0:02:53 > 0:02:57because we are against better people.

0:02:57 > 0:02:59Do you think you could do the big dock right now?

0:02:59 > 0:03:00Maybe. Shall we have a look?

0:03:00 > 0:03:03In the first round, Charlotte and Harry from Cambridge

0:03:03 > 0:03:05smashed the competition with a sensational display

0:03:05 > 0:03:07of dock diving.

0:03:07 > 0:03:08Look at that!

0:03:08 > 0:03:11Success or failure will depend on Charlotte's ability

0:03:11 > 0:03:13to hold Harry's attention.

0:03:13 > 0:03:16I would've never actually imagined that we'd have made it this far

0:03:16 > 0:03:19because Harry is just getting better and better every day.

0:03:19 > 0:03:21They secured their place in the semifinal

0:03:21 > 0:03:24with a faultless flyball demonstration that showed off

0:03:24 > 0:03:27Harry's speed and agility.

0:03:27 > 0:03:29Charlotte and Harry have a terrific relationship.

0:03:29 > 0:03:33But sometimes Charlotte struggles to keep Harry focused.

0:03:33 > 0:03:34Come here!

0:03:35 > 0:03:37I have faith in him.

0:03:37 > 0:03:39And I am really proud of us for getting this far.

0:03:39 > 0:03:42Now, to win their place in the top two,

0:03:42 > 0:03:45they'll have to master Zak's toughest challenge yet.

0:03:51 > 0:03:55Now, it's a little wet today, so we are headed into the barn.

0:03:55 > 0:03:57Come on in, guys.

0:03:57 > 0:03:59This is fantastic!

0:03:59 > 0:04:00Now, today's stunt is difficult,

0:04:00 > 0:04:04because it involves pressing a button and putting toys in a box.

0:04:04 > 0:04:07And for bonus points, in the right order.

0:04:07 > 0:04:09Now, let me explain.

0:04:09 > 0:04:10To win this challenge,

0:04:10 > 0:04:13the dogs need to start a timer by pressing a button.

0:04:13 > 0:04:17And while the clock is ticking, they will need to collect five toys

0:04:17 > 0:04:19and place them in a box as fast as they can.

0:04:19 > 0:04:22When they're finished, they must press the button to stop the timer.

0:04:22 > 0:04:26The two dogs that complete the task in the shortest time will move on

0:04:26 > 0:04:28to the Who Let The Dogs Out final.

0:04:31 > 0:04:32What a great trick -

0:04:32 > 0:04:35teaching your dog how to tidy away their toys!

0:04:35 > 0:04:37Oh, nice!

0:04:37 > 0:04:39Get her interested in this. See if Ice will pick it up.

0:04:39 > 0:04:41Ice, fetch.

0:04:41 > 0:04:44- Now, ask her to fetch it.- Ice, fetch. - She's like, "What is that?"

0:04:44 > 0:04:47Yeah, get her used to it, because this is a really awkward toy.

0:04:47 > 0:04:50Try this one over here. They're all a bit different here.

0:04:50 > 0:04:52I love how dialled-in she is.

0:04:54 > 0:04:55Ask her to bring it to you.

0:04:55 > 0:04:59- Ice. Ice!- Our goal today, and this goes for all of you,

0:04:59 > 0:05:03is just to see if our dogs can pick up two stationary,

0:05:03 > 0:05:06non-moving objects and bring them over here to the box.

0:05:06 > 0:05:08So, encourage her to do this.

0:05:08 > 0:05:12- Ice, fetch.- Yes! Good work, she did it! Let her know you love it!

0:05:12 > 0:05:15Reward her! Jackpot that! That's what I'm talking about!

0:05:15 > 0:05:18Jake and Ice, off to a great start. All right, I'm going to swap you.

0:05:18 > 0:05:20So, a great start by Jake and Ice.

0:05:20 > 0:05:23Mm! I wonder if Genevieve and Monty Zoom will be as good.

0:05:23 > 0:05:26You guys have already been working on this

0:05:26 > 0:05:28from your last challenge. This could give you an advantage.

0:05:28 > 0:05:31- Very good.- Monty, come! Monty, come!

0:05:31 > 0:05:34- Come, boy! Come on, Monty! - Encourage Monty Zoom to bring it back

0:05:34 > 0:05:37over here and drop it somewhere near this container over here.

0:05:37 > 0:05:38That's our goal.

0:05:38 > 0:05:41- Very good. OK, good. - Monty, come. Come on!

0:05:41 > 0:05:44You're doing great, Genevieve. Watch! Yes! Good work!

0:05:44 > 0:05:47Genevieve looks very pleased with that, and no wonder.

0:05:47 > 0:05:48Well done, you two!

0:05:48 > 0:05:51You did it. Oh, that was fantastic!

0:05:51 > 0:05:53Now, I'm going to move on to Charlotte and Harry.

0:05:53 > 0:05:56Charlotte told us that Harry loves squeaky toys,

0:05:56 > 0:05:59so she should have no problem getting him to focus on her.

0:05:59 > 0:06:02Mm...looks like Harry is getting distracted,

0:06:02 > 0:06:05maybe a different toy will catch his attention.

0:06:05 > 0:06:07Try this one.

0:06:07 > 0:06:08That's better!

0:06:08 > 0:06:10Squeeze it. Squeeze it. Make it make sound.

0:06:10 > 0:06:13Get him interested in that. Yes, exactly.

0:06:13 > 0:06:15- Go get it.- Did it work? That's it! Good. That's it, Charlotte.

0:06:15 > 0:06:17- Good boy!- Keep going.

0:06:17 > 0:06:19Good sound in your voice. Keep working.

0:06:19 > 0:06:21Good! Let's see if he'll bring it back over here.

0:06:21 > 0:06:24And almost, almost, almost! I'll take that.

0:06:24 > 0:06:26Let him know you like it. That was better than last time.

0:06:26 > 0:06:28We'll let him know by giving him the toy.

0:06:28 > 0:06:32This trick, guys, is a thinking dog's challenge.

0:06:32 > 0:06:34Your dogs have to be very sharp mentally

0:06:34 > 0:06:36and disciplined to pull this off.

0:06:36 > 0:06:39All right, guys, keep practising, you're doing great.

0:06:48 > 0:06:50Training is a lot of fun,

0:06:50 > 0:06:53but sometimes you've just got to mess about and let loose.

0:06:53 > 0:06:55Here are some dogs doing just that.

0:06:58 > 0:07:01If there is one thing that dogs just love, it's water.

0:07:03 > 0:07:04Whether drinking it...

0:07:09 > 0:07:11..swimming in it...

0:07:13 > 0:07:15..or riding on top of it.

0:07:15 > 0:07:18For a dog, water is irresistible.

0:07:19 > 0:07:23Some dogs just can't wait to get their paws wet.

0:07:26 > 0:07:28Others prefer a piggyback.

0:07:30 > 0:07:33There is nothing more relaxing than a day on the water.

0:07:37 > 0:07:39But whatever you do,

0:07:39 > 0:07:42watch out for surprises.

0:07:49 > 0:07:53Still to come, Nelly stands up and demands a new trick.

0:07:53 > 0:07:56And there's high drama when the teams battle it out

0:07:56 > 0:07:59for a place in the grand final.

0:08:04 > 0:08:08Inside the Dog House barn, the teams are still hard at work,

0:08:08 > 0:08:12trying to grasp the basics of Zak's Tidy Timer challenge.

0:08:12 > 0:08:14All right, guys. Now, I see you practising.

0:08:14 > 0:08:17Jake and Ice, let me see your progress.

0:08:17 > 0:08:18Ice, Ice. Ice!

0:08:18 > 0:08:21Wow! Now that's progress!

0:08:21 > 0:08:22That's impressive.

0:08:22 > 0:08:26- Ice! - Killing a little time on the hot dog.

0:08:26 > 0:08:29- Ice!- Good. All right, so...

0:08:29 > 0:08:32And, actually, don't be discouraged right there.

0:08:32 > 0:08:35You just introduced this trick, you know? It hasn't been long at all.

0:08:35 > 0:08:38And Ice is doing this well. Now, go ahead and tell Ice to stop.

0:08:38 > 0:08:40Ice.

0:08:40 > 0:08:45What you guys need to work on is getting a little more order to it.

0:08:45 > 0:08:48Cos right now Ice is saying, "I want to run this show. I want to play."

0:08:48 > 0:08:50- Don't let Ice run the show.- Yeah.

0:08:50 > 0:08:52Cos that could kill everything. Does that make sense?

0:08:52 > 0:08:54- Yeah.- All right. I'm feeling good about you guys.

0:08:54 > 0:08:55That looked great. Nice work.

0:08:55 > 0:08:58All right, Genevieve and Monty Zoom.

0:08:58 > 0:09:01Let's see if he gets interested in playing cos right now he doesn't

0:09:01 > 0:09:02look very interested.

0:09:02 > 0:09:06- Much better.- What's this? What's this? Go get it.

0:09:06 > 0:09:10Oh, dear, Monty is not impressed. What's Genevieve going to do?

0:09:10 > 0:09:11Monty, what's this? You know what, OK.

0:09:11 > 0:09:14Maybe you are doing everything right here and it's possible

0:09:14 > 0:09:16that Monty Zoom is just bored.

0:09:16 > 0:09:19- So, he probably just needs a break now, do you agree with that?- Yeah.

0:09:19 > 0:09:22I think you are doing great. Do you feel like you know what to do

0:09:22 > 0:09:24- to keep working on training?- Yeah.

0:09:24 > 0:09:27I'm going to go up here to Charlotte and Harry now.

0:09:27 > 0:09:29How's training going so far?

0:09:29 > 0:09:32Well, he's not really concentrating on any of the toys now.

0:09:32 > 0:09:35He's concentrating on what's going on over there.

0:09:35 > 0:09:37I'll tell you something, Charlotte, so many people,

0:09:37 > 0:09:39when their dog gets distracted, they quit.

0:09:39 > 0:09:41But you and I know better, don't we?

0:09:41 > 0:09:43Because we know that he is a sharp dog.

0:09:43 > 0:09:46But that's cool, he just needs a break right now.

0:09:46 > 0:09:48All right, guys, I want you to practise for the rest of the day,

0:09:48 > 0:09:50after they've taken a break,

0:09:50 > 0:09:53and then we will see you right back here tomorrow.

0:09:53 > 0:09:55Get a good night's sleep. All right, guys, bye!

0:09:55 > 0:09:56ALL: Bye!

0:09:56 > 0:10:01When Zak told us what the trick was, I thought, like, "OK, I'll try it."

0:10:01 > 0:10:04And I think Monty will do it. Yeah. Fingers crossed.

0:10:04 > 0:10:09I am feeling quite confident about this trick

0:10:09 > 0:10:14because we have had some experience in putting it in the basket.

0:10:14 > 0:10:16Yes! Good girl! Go get it.

0:10:16 > 0:10:19And Ice has started to enjoy squeaky toys.

0:10:19 > 0:10:21A little time on the hot dog.

0:10:21 > 0:10:24I think that Harry is going to do really well, but it will take

0:10:24 > 0:10:29a bit of training to get the right toys in the right order..

0:10:29 > 0:10:32Ice, Harry and Monty Zoom all have totally different personalities.

0:10:32 > 0:10:36Let's get to know them a bit better with their mutt measurements.

0:10:36 > 0:10:38Two-year-old Papillon Monty

0:10:38 > 0:10:40is the smallest dog left in the competition,

0:10:40 > 0:10:42but he proved his worth

0:10:42 > 0:10:44with some giant performances

0:10:44 > 0:10:47in the early rounds to secure a spot in the semifinal.

0:10:47 > 0:10:51Papillons are fiercely intelligent, so Monty Zoom is well equipped

0:10:51 > 0:10:53to tackle the Tidy Timer Challenge.

0:10:54 > 0:10:58Ice is a Red Merle Border Collie who proved just how much she loves

0:10:58 > 0:11:01to play with fantastic performances

0:11:01 > 0:11:03in the volleyball and goalkeeping challenges.

0:11:03 > 0:11:07Ice is extremely toy motivated, so the Tidy Timer Challenge

0:11:07 > 0:11:10could provide her with the perfect platform for victory.

0:11:10 > 0:11:12Finally, we have Harry,

0:11:12 > 0:11:13the Labrador Retriever.

0:11:13 > 0:11:16Retrieving is the name of the game with Tidy Timer,

0:11:16 > 0:11:18so Harry could do well.

0:11:18 > 0:11:21He's already proved his physical prowess

0:11:21 > 0:11:24with some incredible dock diving and flyball displays.

0:11:24 > 0:11:28But to win this challenge, he'll need to use his brains, as well.

0:11:33 > 0:11:36Showtime is less than a week away and the teams

0:11:36 > 0:11:38have returned to the Dog House to learn the next step

0:11:38 > 0:11:40in Zak's Tidy Timer Challenge.

0:11:40 > 0:11:43You guys are looking fantastic. Looks like your dogs

0:11:43 > 0:11:46are really enjoying themselves over here.

0:11:46 > 0:11:48So, why don't you take a break for a second?

0:11:48 > 0:11:50Now, Jake, we're going to go over

0:11:50 > 0:11:52the other aspect of this trick, which is a bit tricky here.

0:11:52 > 0:11:53Remember,

0:11:53 > 0:11:56our dogs are going to start the timer...

0:11:56 > 0:11:59That's a timer? Looks more like a police light to me.

0:11:59 > 0:12:01Now, you can do this in a number ways.

0:12:01 > 0:12:02Come over here.

0:12:02 > 0:12:05Let's encourage her to touch this with her paw.

0:12:05 > 0:12:07A nice, quiet tone is what I would recommend.

0:12:07 > 0:12:10Ice, Ice.

0:12:10 > 0:12:12What are you going to be rewarding with?

0:12:12 > 0:12:14- Treats.- OK. She wants this toy,

0:12:14 > 0:12:17what are you rewarding with food for? Is this the one she likes? Look.

0:12:17 > 0:12:20Now where is her attention? It's on you, not on the food.

0:12:20 > 0:12:22Let's see if we can get her to press it here.

0:12:22 > 0:12:25That's it. Yes, yes. Oh, good! She did it!

0:12:25 > 0:12:28Look at that! That's what I'm talking about. You are awesome.

0:12:28 > 0:12:31Now, last time we saw Charlotte and Harry, Harry was getting bored.

0:12:31 > 0:12:35OK, Charlotte. Let's focus on the timer over here.

0:12:35 > 0:12:37I'm going to move it around. Just make sure... Good, good!

0:12:37 > 0:12:39Do you see what Charlotte is doing?

0:12:39 > 0:12:41This is perfect. See how she's getting eye-to-eye,

0:12:41 > 0:12:42very close to her dog?

0:12:42 > 0:12:45Now, we want him to start putting pressure on it.

0:12:45 > 0:12:47- Harry, touch. Touch. - You can do this, come on.

0:12:47 > 0:12:48Touch.

0:12:48 > 0:12:51Well, Harry certainly looks more interested,

0:12:51 > 0:12:54but he doesn't seem to understand what Charlotte wants him to do.

0:12:54 > 0:12:59- Touch.- So suspenseful! I'm going to move on to Genevieve and Monty Zoom.

0:12:59 > 0:13:03Now, you guys... Wow, Monty Zoom looks really comfortable in here.

0:13:03 > 0:13:07- What's up with that?- He really likes the box. He actually slept in it.

0:13:07 > 0:13:08- Did he?- Yeah.

0:13:08 > 0:13:11Hey, Monty Zoom. You're such a happy little boy.

0:13:11 > 0:13:14OK, you saw what we were doing over here. I want to see if you've got it

0:13:14 > 0:13:16in you to encourage Monty Zoom to hit the timer.

0:13:16 > 0:13:18And then I will help you if I need to.

0:13:18 > 0:13:21if he touches it with his paw, I want you to let him know,

0:13:21 > 0:13:23in very certain terms,

0:13:23 > 0:13:26that is exactly what I want you to be thinking about doing.

0:13:26 > 0:13:28- Yes!- Good boy!- Wow, look at that!

0:13:28 > 0:13:32Monty seemed to know exactly what Genevieve wanted HIM to do.

0:13:32 > 0:13:34And he did it...first time!

0:13:34 > 0:13:36- Good boy!- He looks really excited.

0:13:36 > 0:13:38Genevieve, you are on fire right now!

0:13:38 > 0:13:42Where did you come from? Really impressive.

0:13:42 > 0:13:45I think my main competition is Genevieve and Monty Zoom,

0:13:45 > 0:13:48because they did quite well.

0:13:48 > 0:13:50We got Monty to press the buzzer.

0:13:50 > 0:13:52Wow, look at that! He did it!

0:13:52 > 0:13:55I'm pretty confident that this is going to work.

0:13:55 > 0:13:59I'm half confident and half not confident.

0:13:59 > 0:14:04Because Harry can do absolutely anything in the finale,

0:14:04 > 0:14:06and it will just be random, basically.

0:14:06 > 0:14:10All right, guys, here's the thing.

0:14:10 > 0:14:12You've got four days to really work on this.

0:14:12 > 0:14:14We have a serious competition here.

0:14:14 > 0:14:16All of you are looking phenomenal.

0:14:16 > 0:14:18All right, keep working. I wish you the best of luck.

0:14:18 > 0:14:21All right, bye, guys. ALL: Bye!

0:14:22 > 0:14:25If you want your dog to tidy away their toys,

0:14:25 > 0:14:30grab a box and follow Zak's five steps to the Tidy Timer challenge.

0:14:30 > 0:14:34One - familiarise your dog with the different toys by asking them

0:14:34 > 0:14:36to retrieve each one in turn.

0:14:36 > 0:14:41Two - encourage your dog to drop the toys anywhere near the box

0:14:41 > 0:14:43and reward...generously.

0:14:43 > 0:14:47Three - if you have a timer, teach your dog

0:14:47 > 0:14:50to start the timer with lots of encouragement

0:14:50 > 0:14:51at the slightest touch.

0:14:51 > 0:14:57Four - put the two tricks together, so your dog starts the timer

0:14:57 > 0:14:59and then begins collecting the toys.

0:14:59 > 0:15:04Five - finish by having your dog touch the timer one last time

0:15:04 > 0:15:06to end the trick.

0:15:11 > 0:15:14Today, I'm going to show you how to teach your dog something really easy.

0:15:14 > 0:15:16I mean, think about it, most dogs know how to sit,

0:15:16 > 0:15:18some dogs know how to lie down,

0:15:18 > 0:15:21but how many dogs you know actually know how to stand?

0:15:21 > 0:15:24Well, I know at least one, and she is a rock star.

0:15:24 > 0:15:27Come on in here, Nellie! What's up, girl? I am going to start

0:15:27 > 0:15:32and warm her up with a nice sit. And you see, she does it already,

0:15:32 > 0:15:34just cos she knows we're going into training. OK.

0:15:34 > 0:15:37Now I'm going to encourage her to lie down, just to get her warmed up.

0:15:37 > 0:15:41And now I am going to try and lure her into a stand with a treat.

0:15:41 > 0:15:44Come on, girl, you can do it. Remember, guys... Oh, good.

0:15:44 > 0:15:46Up here. Yeah. Stand. That's wonderful.

0:15:46 > 0:15:49Notice how I say stand when she does it.

0:15:49 > 0:15:51Good, back up. Lie down.

0:15:51 > 0:15:53That's a leaf. Good girl.

0:15:53 > 0:15:56Now... Come on, up here.

0:15:56 > 0:15:58Stand. Almost.

0:15:58 > 0:16:00Stand. That's stand.

0:16:00 > 0:16:02Very, very good. You are doing wonderful.

0:16:02 > 0:16:05Once you feel like they're getting the concept,

0:16:05 > 0:16:06start mixing it up a little bit.

0:16:06 > 0:16:10Sit. Down. Stand.

0:16:10 > 0:16:14Oh, you are so awesome! Very, very good.

0:16:14 > 0:16:16And that is how you do it. Stand is so easy.

0:16:16 > 0:16:19Teach it to your dog right now. Good job, Nellie.

0:16:25 > 0:16:29What I love about dogs is they all have their own individual talents.

0:16:29 > 0:16:32But the dogs you are about to see, they are not just talented,

0:16:32 > 0:16:34they are record-breaking.

0:16:37 > 0:16:41Now, this is Harbor, the Black and Tan Coonhound.

0:16:41 > 0:16:44It's a good job Harbor is not vain because he holds

0:16:44 > 0:16:49the record for having the biggest ears on any dog in the whole world!

0:16:49 > 0:16:50Look at them, they're huge!

0:16:50 > 0:16:5331.1 cm, to be exact.

0:16:53 > 0:16:56That's as long as your school ruler.

0:16:56 > 0:16:59When Harbor was a puppy, he used to trip on his own ears.

0:16:59 > 0:17:01How embarrassing!

0:17:01 > 0:17:04But his owner says she doesn't even notice his ears anymore.

0:17:04 > 0:17:05Yeah, right.

0:17:05 > 0:17:07And, talking of ears,

0:17:07 > 0:17:11this dog, with the colourful ears, is called Mayonnaise!

0:17:11 > 0:17:16Mayonnaise and all her friends here are part of the Super Wan Wan Circus

0:17:16 > 0:17:20and they have one thing in common - they love skipping!

0:17:20 > 0:17:22They are so good at it

0:17:22 > 0:17:26that they hold the world record for the most dogs skipping

0:17:26 > 0:17:28on one rope at the same time.

0:17:28 > 0:17:3213 dogs! That's not just amazing, that's record-breaking!

0:17:32 > 0:17:35Look at them! Look at them go! Yes!

0:17:41 > 0:17:44A week's intensive training is over

0:17:44 > 0:17:46and it's time for our teams to battle it out for a place

0:17:46 > 0:17:49in the grand final.

0:17:51 > 0:17:54Only two teams will go through.

0:17:54 > 0:17:57And one team will leave the competition today.

0:17:57 > 0:18:00I think Harry is in a really excited mood today

0:18:00 > 0:18:02because I think he knows what is happening

0:18:02 > 0:18:05and he knows I'm really excited and I want him to do it.

0:18:05 > 0:18:08So, who's got what it takes to win?

0:18:08 > 0:18:11It would mean quite a lot going into the finals,

0:18:11 > 0:18:14cos then we've got quite far. So, I do hope we do quite well.

0:18:14 > 0:18:16And who will make it through to the final?

0:18:16 > 0:18:21If he told me that I got to the final stage, I'd be like,

0:18:21 > 0:18:23"Am I?

0:18:23 > 0:18:26"Are you being serious here?

0:18:26 > 0:18:27"Really?"

0:18:27 > 0:18:31I don't know who is going to win. It is a hard trick. I don't know.

0:18:31 > 0:18:35Well, it's time to find out.

0:18:38 > 0:18:42It is showtime for Jake and Ice, Charlotte and Harry

0:18:42 > 0:18:44and Genevieve and Monty Zoom.

0:18:44 > 0:18:47And this is where all of the action is taking place.

0:18:47 > 0:18:51On their trainers' request, the dogs will need to start the timer,

0:18:51 > 0:18:54immediately begin gathering all of the toys as fast as they can

0:18:54 > 0:18:58and place them in the box. Now, once all the toys are in the box,

0:18:58 > 0:19:01they will need to stop the timer. But here is the twist.

0:19:01 > 0:19:05If they can put all the toys in the box in the right order,

0:19:05 > 0:19:08Who...Let...The...Dogs...Out,

0:19:08 > 0:19:10their time will be halved.

0:19:10 > 0:19:12And, guys, the stakes could not be higher,

0:19:12 > 0:19:15because the teams with the two fastest times will move on to

0:19:15 > 0:19:19the final, where they will be one step closer to grasping this -

0:19:19 > 0:19:22the Who Let The Dogs Out Top Dog Trainer trophy.

0:19:22 > 0:19:25First up, Charlotte and Harry.

0:19:25 > 0:19:28It took a while for Charlotte to get Harry interested

0:19:28 > 0:19:30in this challenge, but as training progressed,

0:19:30 > 0:19:33she showed some impressive communication skills.

0:19:33 > 0:19:37As long as Charlotte can keep Harry focused, she's in with a shot.

0:19:37 > 0:19:39Charlotte, whenever you're ready.

0:19:39 > 0:19:41Harry. Touch.

0:19:41 > 0:19:43And they're off!

0:19:43 > 0:19:45If Charlotte is going for bonus points,

0:19:45 > 0:19:49she should be asking Harry to pick up the toy that says Who on it.

0:19:49 > 0:19:53Oh, yes! No, in.

0:19:53 > 0:19:54And he's done it!

0:19:54 > 0:19:55Phew!

0:19:57 > 0:20:00Now, we're looking for the grey pig that says Let on it.

0:20:00 > 0:20:02Good work!

0:20:02 > 0:20:05Now, for the pink pig with the word The on it.

0:20:06 > 0:20:10Oh, no, that won't help! Come on, Harry, concentrate!

0:20:10 > 0:20:11In!

0:20:11 > 0:20:14- Yes!- Well done!

0:20:14 > 0:20:16Charlotte's really communicating well with Harry

0:20:16 > 0:20:18and those treats seem to be doing the trick.

0:20:18 > 0:20:21Harry. Harry, listen. In.

0:20:21 > 0:20:25Come on, Harry, as a stop sniffing the grass and pick up that pig!

0:20:25 > 0:20:27Got it!

0:20:27 > 0:20:30Now for the hotdog that says Dogs on it.

0:20:32 > 0:20:34That's it! Last one, come on.

0:20:34 > 0:20:35Good boy.

0:20:35 > 0:20:39Harry, in. Harry, what's that? Oh, yes!

0:20:39 > 0:20:41Just the timer to go and you're there!

0:20:41 > 0:20:43Harry, come, come. Touch.

0:20:43 > 0:20:45Touch. Good.

0:20:45 > 0:20:47- Fantastic!- That was amazing.

0:20:47 > 0:20:50They completed the challenge in just one minute and two seconds.

0:20:50 > 0:20:54- You are free to go, nice job. - Harry, come here.

0:20:54 > 0:20:56Their time will be halved because Harry got all the toys

0:20:56 > 0:21:00in the right order, giving them a final time of 31 seconds.

0:21:00 > 0:21:03That's going to be very hard to beat.

0:21:03 > 0:21:05Next up, Jake and Ice.

0:21:05 > 0:21:09Ice's love of toys has given them a real advantage coming

0:21:09 > 0:21:14into this round and Jake has worked really hard at keeping Ice focused.

0:21:14 > 0:21:17She did play around a bit with the pigs.

0:21:17 > 0:21:21But then we got that back by her pressing the button really quick.

0:21:21 > 0:21:24Oh, good! Yes, she did it! Look at that!

0:21:24 > 0:21:27But if they're to win a place in the grand final,

0:21:27 > 0:21:31Jake and Ice will need work fast and not make any mistakes.

0:21:31 > 0:21:34OK, Jake, whenever you're ready, get started.

0:21:34 > 0:21:37Ice, come. Ice. Ice.

0:21:39 > 0:21:41And they're off!

0:21:41 > 0:21:43Ice needs to pick up that yellow bone first

0:21:43 > 0:21:45if Jake wants that extra bonus.

0:21:45 > 0:21:47Basket. Good girl!

0:21:47 > 0:21:49That's the first one safely away.

0:21:49 > 0:21:50Ice, Ice!

0:21:50 > 0:21:52Now for the grey pig.

0:21:52 > 0:21:53Ice, come!

0:21:53 > 0:21:58No Ice, you can't go for the hot dog yet or you'll lose your bonus!

0:21:58 > 0:22:00Pff! That was close!

0:22:00 > 0:22:02And now she's taken the yellow bone out!

0:22:02 > 0:22:04This is turning into a disaster!

0:22:04 > 0:22:06Ice, fetch. Ice, basket.

0:22:06 > 0:22:09Phew, back in - but this is hard work.

0:22:09 > 0:22:13Can Jake get Ice under control? What's Ice playing at?

0:22:13 > 0:22:17There's a place in the final at stake here!

0:22:17 > 0:22:19Ice, basket.

0:22:19 > 0:22:21Ice, fetch. Ice, basket.

0:22:23 > 0:22:25It looks like Ice has totally forgotten about the challenge.

0:22:25 > 0:22:27Jake must get her back on track.

0:22:27 > 0:22:30Ice, basket.

0:22:30 > 0:22:31Ice, basket.

0:22:33 > 0:22:35Ice, Ice, come!

0:22:35 > 0:22:39Great, that's two in, but the time's ticking away!

0:22:39 > 0:22:41Ice, fetch. Ice, basket.

0:22:41 > 0:22:43Ice, basket. Ice, basket.

0:22:45 > 0:22:47Ice is having too much fun.

0:22:47 > 0:22:50Poor Jake, this is going to cost them vital seconds.

0:22:50 > 0:22:52Ice, fetch. Ice, basket.

0:22:52 > 0:22:54Phew! Finally, that's three.

0:22:54 > 0:22:55Ice. Ice, fetch.

0:22:55 > 0:22:57No, Ice, in.

0:22:57 > 0:23:00Oh, no! She's trying to take them out again.

0:23:01 > 0:23:05Good skills by Jake, refocusing Ice's attention,

0:23:05 > 0:23:07and he gets his reward.

0:23:07 > 0:23:09But have they lost too much time?

0:23:09 > 0:23:11Good girl! Ice, Ice! Good girl!

0:23:11 > 0:23:13Ice, come.

0:23:13 > 0:23:16Are you ready? Ice. Ice, press.

0:23:16 > 0:23:18Well, that was exhausting!

0:23:18 > 0:23:21An incredibly tough challenge for Jake, but he managed to get

0:23:21 > 0:23:23Ice to put all those toys in the container

0:23:23 > 0:23:26in one minute, 36 seconds.

0:23:26 > 0:23:29Because the toys went in in the right order,

0:23:29 > 0:23:33their time is halved, giving them a final time of 48 seconds.

0:23:33 > 0:23:36But is it enough to get them through to the final?

0:23:36 > 0:23:39Next up Genevieve and Monty Zoom.

0:23:39 > 0:23:43Genevieve and Monty Zoom were really impressive in training.

0:23:43 > 0:23:46Monty Zoom learned to drop the toys in the container

0:23:46 > 0:23:49and he managed to work out the timer on his first attempt.

0:23:49 > 0:23:53- Genevieve, whenever you are ready to start.- Come, Monty. Monty, press.

0:23:54 > 0:23:58Look at that - really controlled and very slick.

0:23:58 > 0:24:00This will be good!

0:24:00 > 0:24:01Monty!

0:24:01 > 0:24:04Monty is smaller than the other dogs, so his props are smaller,

0:24:04 > 0:24:07so he can pick them up with his little mouth.

0:24:07 > 0:24:08Monty, get it.

0:24:08 > 0:24:11Solid encouragement from Genevieve.

0:24:11 > 0:24:12The first toy is in the container.

0:24:12 > 0:24:15Monty's toys are so small

0:24:15 > 0:24:17they only have letters on them, not words!

0:24:17 > 0:24:20Monty doesn't want that chicken leg, but it has an L on it,

0:24:20 > 0:24:24and if he doesn't put it in the box, they won't get their bonus points.

0:24:24 > 0:24:26Get it, get it!

0:24:26 > 0:24:30Monty, In. In. Good boy.

0:24:30 > 0:24:33That's it. That's the L safely away.

0:24:33 > 0:24:35Now for the bone with the letter T on it.

0:24:35 > 0:24:38Get the bone. Get it.

0:24:38 > 0:24:41Get it. Get it. Get it.

0:24:41 > 0:24:43Go on, Monty, get it.

0:24:43 > 0:24:46Oh, no. Monty doesn't seem to want to pick up that bone.

0:24:46 > 0:24:50Remember, if the teams want to halve their overall time,

0:24:50 > 0:24:52the toys must go into the container in the right order.

0:24:52 > 0:24:54Get it!

0:24:54 > 0:24:56Good. Monty, get it.

0:24:56 > 0:24:58Genevieve is persevering,

0:24:58 > 0:25:00but she might have to ditch the bone for now

0:25:00 > 0:25:02and go onto another toy.

0:25:02 > 0:25:05Get it. Go on. Monty, get it.

0:25:05 > 0:25:08Get it.

0:25:08 > 0:25:11But no, hold on - he's got it... and it's in the container.

0:25:11 > 0:25:12Well done, Monty.

0:25:16 > 0:25:20Come on, you two, only two more toys to go.

0:25:20 > 0:25:21In.

0:25:21 > 0:25:24Wow, there's one. That was quick. They're on the home straight.

0:25:24 > 0:25:27Just one last toy and then onto the timer.

0:25:27 > 0:25:29In.

0:25:29 > 0:25:31Wow, well done, team!

0:25:31 > 0:25:32And press.
