0:02:40 > 0:02:45teaching on this year's Who Let The Dogs Out and they're really tough.

0:02:45 > 0:02:47Even me and Pudsey would struggle with them.

0:02:47 > 0:02:50I just hope we can find some brilliant dog trainers,

0:02:50 > 0:02:54because we need to take 27 teams to the Dog House.

0:03:00 > 0:03:03He's going to be helping Ashleigh down at the Dog House.

0:03:04 > 0:03:06Now, I've been teaching dogs all my life,

0:03:06 > 0:03:09and some of the stunts we're teaching this year are really tough,

0:03:09 > 0:03:12so I've given Ashleigh a list of dog skills to look out for

0:03:12 > 0:03:15at Try-outs, otherwise she's going

0:03:28 > 0:03:32If I don't see that, then you won't make it to the Dog House.

0:03:32 > 0:03:35So...have these teams got what it takes?

0:03:35 > 0:03:37Hmm.

0:03:37 > 0:03:40We deserve to get to the Dog House because we work well together

0:03:40 > 0:03:42and we're both cheeky.

0:03:42 > 0:03:47He's just a super boy, he's just so loving and he's a great companion.

0:03:47 > 0:03:49We deserve to go to the Dog House because we practise

0:03:51 > 0:03:55Me and Honey, we work together as a team,

0:03:55 > 0:03:57and that's all that really matters.

0:03:57 > 0:04:01- She's my baby and I love her. - Please stop licking my face.

0:04:01 > 0:04:04One of the first teams to face Ashleigh has come

0:04:04 > 0:04:07all the way from Bridgend in Wales.

0:04:07 > 0:04:09It's Daniel and his Jack Russell, Beau.

0:04:09 > 0:04:12Me and Beau deserve to get through to the Dog House

0:04:12 > 0:04:17because Beau's the most intelligent dog I have ever seen or had.

0:04:17 > 0:04:21The worst thing that could happen is that Beau doesn't listen to me

0:04:21 > 0:04:23when I'm giving him the commands.

0:04:24 > 0:04:27Let's just hope Beau is in the mood to listen to Daniel.

0:04:27 > 0:04:32- Hello.- Hello. - So, the floor is yours, take it away.

0:04:33 > 0:04:35Beau.

0:04:35 > 0:04:39Oh, no, this is exactly what Daniel was worried about.

0:04:39 > 0:04:43Beau! Wrong way.

0:04:43 > 0:04:44- Beau, come back.- Beau...

0:04:44 > 0:04:48It'd be better if you don't chase Beau, cos then it turns into a game.

0:04:48 > 0:04:51I wish Beau hadn't ran off the moment I took him

0:04:51 > 0:04:52off the lead to do tricks.

0:04:52 > 0:04:57- Does Beau like toys?- Yes, a lot.- Ooh.

0:04:57 > 0:05:01So why don't you use the toy to...? Oh, there we go, you read my mind.

0:05:01 > 0:05:03Maybe now Beau will listen to Daniel...

0:05:04 > 0:05:06Roll over.

0:05:07 > 0:05:09..or maybe not.

0:05:10 > 0:05:12OK. Through.

0:05:13 > 0:05:16- He knows a lot more but he won't do them at the moment.- Aww.

0:05:16 > 0:05:19He's too interested in the pig.

0:05:19 > 0:05:22Oh, it's the pig's fault. Pigs can be trouble.

0:05:22 > 0:05:25Hey, Pig. You're...

0:05:25 > 0:05:26"Pig"?!

0:05:26 > 0:05:29His name's Beau, Ashleigh.

0:05:29 > 0:05:30I got confused.

0:05:30 > 0:05:33BEAU GROWLS

0:05:33 > 0:05:35- Does he let go when you ask him? - Leave.

0:05:35 > 0:05:37Leave. Leave.

0:05:37 > 0:05:39That'll be a no, then.

0:05:39 > 0:05:41There we go, give him a treat, give him a treat.

0:05:41 > 0:05:44You've got to make sure every time he does something you want him

0:05:44 > 0:05:47- to do, you give him a reward.- OK.

0:05:47 > 0:05:49'It was very exciting meeting Ashleigh'

0:05:49 > 0:05:52and getting her advice on how to train Beau.

0:05:52 > 0:05:55- Come on, Beau, we're going to go over together, come on.- Over.

0:05:55 > 0:05:56Yeah, well done, give him the treat.

0:05:56 > 0:05:58Wow, maybe Beau can turn this around.

0:05:58 > 0:06:00I can show you how bad he is at fetch.

0:06:02 > 0:06:05We'll leave that one for another day. Beau, what's this?

0:06:05 > 0:06:06Oh, dear.

0:06:06 > 0:06:09Oh, probably not now.

0:06:09 > 0:06:12He kind of had a bit of an accident on the floor.

0:06:12 > 0:06:18- Ashleigh started laughing. - He was a bit desperate!- Yeah...sorry.

0:06:18 > 0:06:22She said, "That's OK, we'll wipe it up now."

0:06:22 > 0:06:26- So, you've just got to be so much quicker with your reward, OK?- OK.

0:06:26 > 0:06:29- You're free to go.- Thank you.- Bye!

0:06:29 > 0:06:34I did quite well, but I think Beau could have concentrated a bit more.

0:06:34 > 0:06:37- Ally, come here.- Oh, no. - Roll over.

0:06:37 > 0:06:39Beau wasn't the only dog to do his own thing.

0:06:39 > 0:06:40Take a look at this.

0:06:42 > 0:06:46There we go. And...he's popped it.

0:06:47 > 0:06:49Ooh, that was close.

0:06:50 > 0:06:52Come here, boy.

0:06:52 > 0:06:56My name's Jake and this is... No, my name's Carl and this is Jake.

0:06:56 > 0:06:59- Hello.- My titbit.- Almost.

0:06:59 > 0:07:03- Ow!- Agh! Aha!

0:07:03 > 0:07:09- She's a bit stronger than Pudsey. - Holly, no. Holly. Holly.

0:07:09 > 0:07:10Look how lazy he is!

0:07:10 > 0:07:11I'm watching you.

0:07:13 > 0:07:15She's just seen the cameras.

0:07:16 > 0:07:19Oh, dear, I think Ashleigh was expecting better than this.

0:07:19 > 0:07:23- Have we got it...? No, Molly's gone.- No, Ivan...

0:07:24 > 0:07:27She's disappeared. Like, literally gone.

0:07:32 > 0:07:36OK, so they've not been brilliant so far, but I'm not going to worry.

0:07:36 > 0:07:38I know there are some great dog trainers out there,

0:07:38 > 0:07:40we just have to find them.

0:07:40 > 0:07:41In fact, I think

0:07:41 > 0:07:43the next team to walk through that door are going to be amazing.

0:07:43 > 0:07:45I just have a feeling.

0:07:46 > 0:07:48Well, I hope Ashleigh's feeling is right,

0:07:48 > 0:07:51because next up we have Eleanor and Lucy.

0:07:51 > 0:07:53This is Lucy and she's a cavapoo.

0:07:53 > 0:07:57A cavapoo is a cross between a cavalier King Charles spaniel

0:07:57 > 0:07:59and a miniature poodle.

0:07:59 > 0:08:01I've been training her since she was little

0:08:01 > 0:08:05and she just really loves doing tricks.

0:08:05 > 0:08:07Lucy's dress is a little cupcake dress

0:08:07 > 0:08:09and it has "Pick me" on the back.

0:08:10 > 0:08:12She's certainly dressed for success,

0:08:12 > 0:08:15but I'm not sure that's enough to impress Ashleigh.

0:08:15 > 0:08:21- Hello.- Hello.- Hello! And does that say "Pick me"?- Yeah.

0:08:21 > 0:08:23Aww, bless her, she's so cute.

0:08:23 > 0:08:26- Does she know lots and lots of tricks, then?- Yeah.

0:08:26 > 0:08:29- And do you do any other activities with her?- Em, she does dog agility.

0:08:29 > 0:08:31And is she really good at it?

0:08:31 > 0:08:33- She's OK.- She's OK?

0:08:33 > 0:08:35Aw, well, can you show me

0:08:35 > 0:08:37all of your different tricks, then, please?

0:08:37 > 0:08:39I'm afraid Lucy is going to have to be better than "OK"

0:08:39 > 0:08:41to get into the Dog House.

0:08:41 > 0:08:44Well done. She doesn't look like the skateboarding type.

0:08:44 > 0:08:45ELEANOR LAUGHS

0:08:46 > 0:08:47Jump.

0:08:47 > 0:08:49Jump.

0:08:49 > 0:08:51Good! That is different.

0:08:52 > 0:08:55- Good, well done.- Stay...

0:08:55 > 0:08:59I'm no expert, but this looks better than "OK" to me.

0:08:59 > 0:09:03- Aw, well done.- And Ashleigh looks like she's impressed too.

0:09:10 > 0:09:12Wow, I still can't believe you just said, "OK",

0:09:12 > 0:09:15she's much better than OK!

0:09:15 > 0:09:17I think Ashleigh was impressed by Lucy's agility.

0:09:22 > 0:09:25Good, give her the treat, give her the treat!

0:09:25 > 0:09:28Just make sure you give her the treat while her front paws are up.

0:09:28 > 0:09:30But good, well done.

0:09:30 > 0:09:34So, this is the magic box, shall we have a go at this?

0:09:34 > 0:09:37All I want to do at the moment is try and see if Lucy will...

0:09:37 > 0:09:40ELEANOR LAUGHS ..go in there, which she will.

0:09:40 > 0:09:46Erm, so...that is very, very good. She's not just "OK", is she? Huh?

0:09:46 > 0:09:50My try-out went really well because Lucy did all of her tricks

0:09:50 > 0:09:51and it was really fun.

0:09:51 > 0:09:53Did you train her all by yourself?

0:09:53 > 0:09:56- Yeah.- Well, you must be an absolutely brilliant trainer, then.

0:09:56 > 0:10:02- Both of you, amazing, well done. You're free to go.- Thank you.

0:10:02 > 0:10:05I hope Lucy goes through because it would just be really good

0:10:05 > 0:10:10to try teach her more tricks and know how to do them properly.

0:10:10 > 0:10:13- How'd it go?- It went good.

0:10:13 > 0:10:17Just "OK"? I honestly can't believe that, they were amazing.

0:10:17 > 0:10:20You could see how Eleanor was such a brilliant trainer,

0:10:20 > 0:10:22she just didn't give herself enough credit.

0:10:24 > 0:10:28The best bit about today is Lucy just being really good

0:10:28 > 0:10:29and a little star.

0:10:30 > 0:10:32- Good girl.- Well done, bab.

0:10:34 > 0:10:35Things are looking up, and Lucy's

0:10:35 > 0:10:37not the only one to impress Ashleigh.

0:10:37 > 0:10:40- Walk, walk, walk...good! - Wow, I've never seen that one before.

0:10:40 > 0:10:43Phew, the tricks are getting better, that's a relief.

0:10:44 > 0:10:47A trampolining dog, that is amazing.

0:10:51 > 0:10:53Walk, walk, walk...

0:10:54 > 0:10:57- Give me a kiss. Good boy. - Oh, going backwards.

0:10:57 > 0:11:00Can she do my shopping for me, please?

0:11:00 > 0:11:02- Good.- Go through.- Brilliant.

0:11:02 > 0:11:05Whoo, well done!

0:11:05 > 0:11:09- It's looking good for the Dog House, and Ashleigh seems happy.- Shuffle.

0:11:09 > 0:11:11That is amazing.

0:11:11 > 0:11:13- Good boy.- What a catch.

0:11:13 > 0:11:15- BELL RINGS - Good boy.- Yay!

0:11:17 > 0:11:18Oh, it's just too cute.

0:11:18 > 0:11:19HIGH-PITCHED COMMANDS

0:11:19 > 0:11:20Yes, good girl!

0:11:21 > 0:11:24- Twirl.- Quick, hide!

0:11:24 > 0:11:26Crawl.

0:11:26 > 0:11:30- Good boy. He looks quite comfy up there.- Yeah.

0:11:31 > 0:11:35- Good boy.- Aww, he's so cute. - Frankie, bend.

0:11:41 > 0:11:44Arriving for their try-out are Katie and her Border collie Dazzle,

0:11:44 > 0:11:47who have travelled overnight from Northern Ireland,

0:11:47 > 0:11:49all the way to the Try-outs here in Manchester.

0:11:51 > 0:11:54We've had a long journey to make it to the Try-outs

0:11:54 > 0:11:57and we had to wake up really early and Dazzle was tired this morning.

0:11:58 > 0:12:00Dazzle will need to find some energy

0:12:00 > 0:12:02from somewhere, as Katie now has a long wait.

0:12:02 > 0:12:04She has the very last try-out.

0:12:05 > 0:12:09And Katie's not the only one feeling the pressure.

0:12:09 > 0:12:12The worst thing that could happen is that Cleo doesn't do anything,

0:12:12 > 0:12:14and just totally ignores me.

0:12:14 > 0:12:16That she runs off or doesn't do what she's told.

0:12:16 > 0:12:22- If Ellie did a poo or a wee.- Me freezing, because I am very nervous.

0:12:22 > 0:12:25He'll just go mad and won't listen to me at all.

0:12:25 > 0:12:28If Pippa don't listen to my commands.

0:12:28 > 0:12:31She goes up to the cameraman and does something.

0:12:31 > 0:12:33Orio not doing what he's told, and...

0:12:33 > 0:12:35HE SIGHS

0:12:35 > 0:12:37Well, someone who's not showing any sign of nerves is Dominic

0:12:37 > 0:12:41and his dog Cosmo, who is part cocker spaniel, part Labrador.

0:12:43 > 0:12:46I think we'll do pretty well cos Cosmo's a bright dog,

0:12:46 > 0:12:49surprisingly bright, actually.

0:12:49 > 0:12:50Dominic's confident,

0:12:50 > 0:12:53but will it last when he comes face-to-face with Ashleigh?

0:12:54 > 0:12:56I can see someone's very eager.

0:12:56 > 0:12:57SHE LAUGHS

0:12:57 > 0:12:59The floor is yours, take it away.

0:12:59 > 0:13:03Three, two... Through, through.

0:13:03 > 0:13:06- Wow, Dominic's started strong. - Speak.

0:13:06 > 0:13:07- COSMO BARKS - Good boy.

0:13:07 > 0:13:11Paw. Good boy. Paw...double it. Good boy.

0:13:11 > 0:13:15- Ashleigh seems impressed too. - Jump up high. Jump up high.

0:13:15 > 0:13:20- Good boy!- I can really tell that you train Cosmo all yourself.

0:13:20 > 0:13:24He's not really looking for anyone, and is totally focused into you.

0:13:24 > 0:13:26Cosmo is following every one of Dominic's commands.

0:13:28 > 0:13:29That's very good.

0:13:29 > 0:13:32In my try-out, I think Ashleigh was mostly impressed

0:13:32 > 0:13:35with the "stay" command, because I walked probably halfway

0:13:35 > 0:13:38back across the hall and he didn't move.

0:13:38 > 0:13:41- Stay...come here!- Good, well done.

0:13:41 > 0:13:44Right, we're going to do it again, but this time I'm going to try

0:13:44 > 0:13:46and distract him.

0:13:46 > 0:13:49Can Ashleigh's distraction skills break Cosmo's focus?

0:13:49 > 0:13:51- Woo!- Stay.

0:13:51 > 0:13:54- Whoo-hoo-hoo.- Stay... - Aw, just too good.

0:13:54 > 0:13:57Meeting Ashleigh was a privilege because she was my idol

0:13:57 > 0:13:58on Britain's Got Talent,

0:13:58 > 0:14:01I learnt most of the moves of Cosmo from Ashleigh.

0:14:01 > 0:14:04You've got some very interesting tricks there, so well done,

0:14:04 > 0:14:05and you're free to go.

0:14:07 > 0:14:10I think I've done enough to make it through because Cosmo

0:14:10 > 0:14:13did every trick I asked him to - not perfect, but he did them well.

0:14:13 > 0:14:15I'm very proud of Cosmo, 10 out of 10.

0:14:15 > 0:14:19Well, it's clear to see that Dominic has worked really hard

0:14:19 > 0:14:23with Cosmo, they had some interesting tricks and he is a brilliant trainer.

0:14:24 > 0:14:27'If I made it through to the knockouts I would be'

0:14:27 > 0:14:31joyful, happy... Just every bright emotion.

0:14:33 > 0:14:35Dominic has a lot of competition.

0:14:35 > 0:14:38Ashleigh can only take 27 trainers to the Dog House.

0:14:39 > 0:14:42If I made it to the Dog House I'd feel over the moon.

0:14:42 > 0:14:46Probably jump up and down and be like, "YES, get in."

0:14:46 > 0:14:48If I did get through, I would be really surprised

0:14:48 > 0:14:50and obviously really pleased as well.

0:14:50 > 0:14:53It'd be the most amazing thing that could ever happen to me

0:14:53 > 0:14:55and Pepsi-Lexi, because that's our dream.

0:14:55 > 0:14:58I'll be like when I first got Molly, I'll be crying with joy.

0:14:58 > 0:15:01If I made it to the Dog House, I'd be really excited and happy.

0:15:01 > 0:15:05Probably screaming and Candy would get all hyper.

0:15:06 > 0:15:09Someone else who's desperate to make it to the Dog House is Reagan

0:15:09 > 0:15:11and her dog Mika.

0:15:11 > 0:15:14Mika's a Siberian husky, she's a rescue and she came to us

0:15:14 > 0:15:17because she couldn't be trained.

0:15:17 > 0:15:20I'm feeling really excited because I just love it so much.

0:15:20 > 0:15:22It's just like the whole vibe

0:15:22 > 0:15:24with all these dog people, it's just amazing.

0:15:24 > 0:15:28- Hello.- Hello.- Now how many tricks do you think Mika knows?

0:15:28 > 0:15:30- I want to say around 80, but...- Wow.

0:15:30 > 0:15:33Well, the floor is yours, so take it away.

0:15:34 > 0:15:38Go get it. Mika. Mika!

0:15:38 > 0:15:42Mika, come tidy, come tidy! Yay!

0:15:42 > 0:15:46Wow, I've never heard anyone being that excited about tidying before.

0:15:46 > 0:15:49- There we go, good girl, Mika.- Yeah!

0:15:49 > 0:15:51Reagan seems to be excited about everything.

0:15:53 > 0:15:57Whoa, calm down, you can't limp excitably. You're meant to be hurt.

0:15:57 > 0:15:59Why do you think Mika's so excited?

0:15:59 > 0:16:03- It's cos I'm really excited. - Yeah, I can tell.- Oh, my gosh.

0:16:03 > 0:16:05'I was so excited.'

0:16:05 > 0:16:07It rubbed off a bit on Mika.

0:16:07 > 0:16:13Go back. Yeah, good. Let's do Gangnam Style. Yeah!

0:16:14 > 0:16:16Very nice, well done.

0:16:18 > 0:16:19For a dog who couldn't be trained,

0:16:19 > 0:16:22Mika seems to know a lot of very impressive tricks.

0:16:22 > 0:16:23One plus one?

0:16:23 > 0:16:26MIKA BARKS TWICE

0:16:26 > 0:16:28- Yeah!- Good girl.

0:16:31 > 0:16:33I think Reagan's a bit more excited than Mika.

0:16:34 > 0:16:37I'm not sure if I've done enough to make it into the Dog House,

0:16:37 > 0:16:38I hope so.

0:16:38 > 0:16:41I love your enthusiasm and you've obviously got

0:16:41 > 0:16:44a great partnership, so well done, you're free to go.

0:16:44 > 0:16:45Thank you.

0:16:45 > 0:16:47I'm just really proud of her,

0:16:47 > 0:16:49she did really well in her trial...I think.

0:16:49 > 0:16:51Come on...yay!

0:16:53 > 0:16:55'80 tricks, that is a lot.'

0:16:55 > 0:16:57If they did make it to the Dog House, though,

0:16:57 > 0:16:59I think Reagan needs to calm down just a little bit.

0:17:02 > 0:17:04'I wish I'd, like, lowered my excitement a bit.'

0:17:04 > 0:17:07But...I can't really help it.

0:17:11 > 0:17:14I've seen some great dogs, but the thing is,

0:17:14 > 0:17:16not every dog can do every trick.

0:17:16 > 0:17:19I mean, you wouldn't have a Great Dane doing this. Come on, Puds.

0:17:21 > 0:17:24The worst trick for Jet on the show would definitely be

0:17:24 > 0:17:25the temptation alley.

0:17:25 > 0:17:27I think he'd just give up!

0:17:27 > 0:17:32- Any tricks that involve water, because he hates swimming.- Limping.

0:17:32 > 0:17:35- Probably trampolining.- He's not very good at staying in one place.

0:17:35 > 0:17:38When he bounces, he doesn't like it and starts barking.

0:17:38 > 0:17:41Skateboard, because when he gets on it, it goes backwards.

0:17:41 > 0:17:44He hates water, he only likes drinking it.

0:17:44 > 0:17:46He doesn't like things that move because they confuse him.

0:17:46 > 0:17:50There's no tricks on the show that Chester couldn't do.

0:17:50 > 0:17:52Ooh, confident talk there.

0:17:52 > 0:17:55But someone who isn't feeling so confident is Freddie, and no wonder.

0:17:55 > 0:17:59Him and Border collie JJ are planning on impressing Ashleigh

0:17:59 > 0:18:03with a dance routine, the very thing Ashleigh and Pudsey are famous for.

0:18:06 > 0:18:09Ashleigh is a really good dog trainer because

0:18:09 > 0:18:13on Britain's Got Talent, every time she'd finish one of her tricks,

0:18:13 > 0:18:17she would always give Pudsey a hug and lots of treats.

0:18:19 > 0:18:21Will Freddie and JJ's dance routine be good enough?

0:18:23 > 0:18:24- Hello.- Hello.

0:18:24 > 0:18:26I see you've got some props here, so I can't wait

0:18:26 > 0:18:27to see what you've got in store.

0:18:27 > 0:18:30- Good luck.- Music, please.

0:18:30 > 0:18:31MUSIC: "Hall Of Fame" by The Script

0:18:33 > 0:18:34JJ BARKS

0:18:34 > 0:18:37Uh-oh! JJ seems more interested in the balls.

0:18:39 > 0:18:43- Touch, touch. - Freddie's got JJ back on track.

0:18:45 > 0:18:47There's no stopping the tricks now!

0:18:48 > 0:18:52Ashleigh certainly looks like she's enjoying this dance routine.

0:18:56 > 0:18:58Freddie needn't have worried,

0:18:58 > 0:19:00him and JJ are making this look easy.

0:19:00 > 0:19:01Catch.

0:19:02 > 0:19:06Catch. Good girl. J, tunnel.

0:19:09 > 0:19:10Wow, from ball-catching to agility,

0:19:24 > 0:19:27Good, well done. She's certainly got some dance moves there, hasn't she?

0:19:27 > 0:19:29'Ashleigh was really nice,'

0:19:29 > 0:19:34and I think she was impressed by how many tricks JJ knows.

0:19:34 > 0:19:37And it looks like dancing wasn't all they had to show.

0:19:37 > 0:19:38JJ hadn't even seen a catapult

0:19:38 > 0:19:40before, yet she was able to work it.

0:19:40 > 0:19:42Good girl. That was brilliant,

0:19:42 > 0:19:44give her loads of praise for that.

0:19:44 > 0:19:48- Good girl.- Shall we try the flyball with her?- Yeah.- JJ, what's this?- Jay.

0:20:01 > 0:20:04- That was brilliant, you're free to go.- Thank you.

0:20:04 > 0:20:06If I made it through to the Dog House, I would be really chuffed

0:24:14 > 0:24:17But she got that tuggy out and she was so focused.

0:24:17 > 0:24:19That was a perfect Try-out.

0:24:20 > 0:24:24What a perfect Try-out to end on after five amazing days.
