0:01:13 > 0:01:16Young trainers from all over the UK came to the Try-outs,
0:01:16 > 0:01:18but I could only choose three for this stunt.
0:01:18 > 0:01:21I reckon for this stunt you've chosen Labs and collies,
0:01:21 > 0:01:23you are so predictable.
0:01:23 > 0:01:28Well, I have one collie, but I also have a poodle AND a husky.
0:01:28 > 0:01:32- Poodle and a husky?!- Yep, they were absolutely brilliant at the Try-outs.
0:01:32 > 0:01:33Take a look at this.

0:02:05 > 0:02:09Ten-year-old Freddie and his border collie JJ are from Suffolk,
0:02:09 > 0:02:10and they really impressed Ashleigh.
0:02:12 > 0:02:16Good girl, well done, give her loads of praise for that.
0:02:16 > 0:02:18- Go!- Get it, get it, get it. Good girl!
0:02:18 > 0:02:20That was brilliant, well done.
0:02:22 > 0:02:26- And this team did not disappoint either.- OK, so take it away.
0:02:27 > 0:02:3011-year-old Holly and her standard poodle Cleo
0:02:30 > 0:02:32proved they had what it takes.
0:02:34 > 0:02:40Woo, well done! That is the highest I have seen so far. Well done, Cleo.
0:02:42 > 0:02:45Lastly, this team from Hertfordshire bowled Ashleigh over.
0:02:45 > 0:02:48- Hello.- Can you tell me both your names please?
0:02:48 > 0:02:52- I'm Regan and this is Mika.- Well, the floor is yours, so take it away.
0:02:52 > 0:02:55Mika, come tidy, come tidy!
0:02:56 > 0:02:5911-year-old Regan and her Siberian husky Mika definitely
0:02:59 > 0:03:00knew a trick or two.
0:03:02 > 0:03:06- There we go.- Yeah, good girl! Let's do Gangnam Style.
0:03:06 > 0:03:10- Yeahhhh!- Good, very nice, well done.
0:03:10 > 0:03:12I love your enthusiasm
0:03:12 > 0:03:15and you've obviously got a great partnership, so well done.
0:03:27 > 0:03:31It's Training Day 1, and time for Ashleigh to introduce the teams
0:03:31 > 0:03:34to our dog expert Steve, who will reveal their stunt.
0:03:34 > 0:03:37- Good boy. Hello! ALL:- Hello.
0:03:37 > 0:03:39Right, Steve, these are our trainers.
0:03:39 > 0:03:41We have a great challenge in store for you today.
0:03:41 > 0:03:46Today, guys, you're going to start teaching your dogs how to catch...
0:03:46 > 0:03:50- a Frisbee in midair.- That was a good catch.- Thank you very much.
0:03:50 > 0:03:52I'm quite impressed.
0:03:52 > 0:03:55In this challenge, the dogs are going to have to catch
0:03:55 > 0:03:57a Frisbee in midair.
0:03:57 > 0:04:00At Showtime, points will be given for every catch made
0:04:00 > 0:04:02over the five-metre line.
0:04:02 > 0:04:05Extra points will be given for catches made
0:04:05 > 0:04:07over the ten-metre line.
0:04:07 > 0:04:08The dog that scores the most points
0:04:08 > 0:04:10in three minutes wins.
0:04:11 > 0:04:14The first step is to make your dog as interested as possible
0:04:14 > 0:04:16about the Frisbee.
0:04:16 > 0:04:18So you're just going to crouch down with them, move it about.
0:04:18 > 0:04:21Once they're interested in it, we need to balance it out,
0:04:21 > 0:04:24because they need to be giving it back to you as well. So you're going
0:04:24 > 0:04:26to play with your dog holding the Frisbee, then just stand still.
0:04:26 > 0:04:29When you're still, and your dog lets go, the best reward
0:04:29 > 0:04:32you should be able to give them is that you start playing again.
0:04:32 > 0:04:34Then we're going to start working on a few retrieves,
0:04:34 > 0:04:37you're going to roll the Frisbee along the floor,
0:04:37 > 0:04:40when they head to it and pick it up, I want you jogging backwards.
0:04:40 > 0:04:42Put loads of urgency into the exercise.
0:04:42 > 0:04:45When we're at that stage, have a little throw,
0:04:45 > 0:04:47encourage them to grab it, and when they do,
0:04:47 > 0:04:49tons of praise, all right? Ashleigh's going to look after you
0:04:49 > 0:04:51from here on, I'm going to come back
0:04:51 > 0:04:53later and see how you're getting on, OK?
0:04:53 > 0:04:55- REGAN:- OK.- Bye!
0:04:55 > 0:04:58We're going to start off with Frisbees on strings, so you can
0:04:58 > 0:05:02pull it about, throw it, and it's still going to be on the string.
0:05:02 > 0:05:04When the trick was revealed I was...
0:05:04 > 0:05:07I was happy, because I've been wanting to train Mika
0:05:07 > 0:05:10Frisbee for a while, but also I knew it was going to be a challenge.
0:05:10 > 0:05:11So move about, really quickly,
0:05:11 > 0:05:15- get her really interested in that Frisbee.- Mika, come on.
0:05:15 > 0:05:19Good girl, loads of praise, well done. That's perfect.
0:05:19 > 0:05:23Well, Mika's looking pretty interested in that Frisbee to me.
0:05:23 > 0:05:27As soon as she lets go, run - run, run, run. Good girl, that's so good.
0:05:27 > 0:05:30I love your enthusiasm as well, you're SO enthusiastic with her,
0:05:30 > 0:05:32so that is perfect.
0:05:32 > 0:05:35And she's quite clearly into that Frisbee, so that's very good.
0:05:35 > 0:05:38Holly and Cleo, then.
0:05:38 > 0:05:41- Cleo! Come on, Cleo.- Where is it?
0:05:41 > 0:05:43See that she looks at it. Good girl.
0:05:43 > 0:05:46Mmm, looks like Cleo is more interested in chasing Holly
0:05:46 > 0:05:47than the Frisbee.
0:05:47 > 0:05:49- Drag it across the floor.- Cleo!
0:05:49 > 0:05:50ASHLEIGH AND HOLLY LAUGH
0:05:50 > 0:05:52Hey, where is it?
0:05:52 > 0:05:53OK, she's losing interest,
0:05:53 > 0:05:57she's obviously got a short attention span there.
0:05:57 > 0:05:59- So with her, you want to do it little and often.- Yeah.
0:05:59 > 0:06:02Just so you're not getting bored, or she's not getting bored.
0:06:02 > 0:06:04The Training was a bit of a disaster,
0:06:04 > 0:06:08because Cleo was not interested at all.
0:06:08 > 0:06:11I wonder how Freddie and JJ are getting on.
0:06:11 > 0:06:14I think with her, it might just be easier to take it off the string.
0:06:14 > 0:06:19And again, just have a game with her. Yeah, good girl, well done.
0:06:19 > 0:06:21Do you want to try and...throw it?
0:06:21 > 0:06:23Yeah, good girl, well done!
0:06:23 > 0:06:26Wow, JJ'S retrieving the Frisbee already!
0:06:26 > 0:06:28No problems for this team.
0:06:29 > 0:06:33Well, you can obviously see you've done a little bit of Frisbee with her
0:06:33 > 0:06:34cos she's bringing it back as well.
0:06:34 > 0:06:36So that's perfect, well done.
0:06:36 > 0:06:39When the trick was revealed, I felt really excited and I thought
0:06:39 > 0:06:44that JJ would be really good at this, because she really likes toys.
0:06:44 > 0:06:48Now, when you are teaching your dog a trick - any trick whatsoever -
0:06:48 > 0:06:49you always need to make sure
0:06:49 > 0:06:52you praise and reward your dog as soon as possible.
0:06:52 > 0:06:55This is just so the dog understands what they've done is exactly
0:06:55 > 0:06:56what you want them to do.
0:06:56 > 0:06:58Right, guys, just hold it there a minute.
0:06:58 > 0:07:02I'm really proud of you, well done, I will see you later,
0:07:02 > 0:07:03I'm going to leave you to it.
0:07:03 > 0:07:05- Bye! ALL:- Bye!
0:07:06 > 0:07:09Well, Freddie and JJ are well on their way to being Frisbee champs.
0:07:11 > 0:07:14But it looks like Regan and Mika could be close competition for them.
0:07:19 > 0:07:22Training can be a lot of hard work, and it's important for both you
0:07:22 > 0:07:26and your dog to take time out to relax and play around.
0:07:26 > 0:07:27Isn't that right, Puds?
0:07:27 > 0:07:29PUDSEY MOANS Here are some dogs doing just that.
0:07:34 > 0:07:37The great thing about dogs is how much they try to help,
0:07:37 > 0:07:39although they don't always succeed.
0:07:40 > 0:07:42Sometimes they barely get started.
0:07:44 > 0:07:46Sometimes they make things worse.
0:07:49 > 0:07:52Moving heavy things is not easy for a dog.
0:07:53 > 0:07:56Unless they get themselves the right equipment.
0:07:56 > 0:07:59Eh, ha, does anyone else think this is dangerous?
0:07:59 > 0:08:01If you're going to let your dog drive,
0:08:01 > 0:08:02at least give him driving lessons.
0:08:07 > 0:08:10But I think, for the safety of all concerned...
0:08:10 > 0:08:13dogs should just stick to helping each other.
0:08:18 > 0:08:22Still to come - Ashleigh teaches Pudsey another cool trick,
0:08:22 > 0:08:24AND we'll find out which team has
0:08:24 > 0:08:26thrown themselves into the semifinals.
0:08:31 > 0:08:33The teams have been training hard,
0:08:33 > 0:08:36and Ashleigh's back to see how they're getting on.
0:08:36 > 0:08:40Hi, guys! Your training looks like it's going really, really well.
0:08:40 > 0:08:42And it looks like Mika has really enjoyed playing
0:08:42 > 0:08:44with her new Frisbee.
0:08:44 > 0:08:46What has she done to that Frisbee?
0:08:46 > 0:08:49She's destroyed it, look at it!
0:08:49 > 0:08:51- So let's take a look. - Hey, Mika, Mika!
0:08:51 > 0:08:55- Go get the Frisbee!- Is she a bit tired?- Yeah, you a bit tired, girl?
0:08:55 > 0:08:58I have been watching you, and she has been going for her Frisbee.
0:08:58 > 0:09:01- Does she bring it back?- Yeah. - So maybe you could start
0:09:01 > 0:09:02lengthening that, throwing it,
0:09:02 > 0:09:04- bringing it back to you, OK?- OK.
0:09:04 > 0:09:05But she's quite tired at the moment,
0:09:05 > 0:09:08so give her a little bit of a rest, then start up again.
0:09:08 > 0:09:09OK? Well done, Mika.
0:09:11 > 0:09:14Sounds like Mika has enjoyed playing with the Frisbee a bit too much.
0:09:14 > 0:09:18Right, Holly and Cleo, then, how have you been getting on?
0:09:18 > 0:09:21Erm, she's not very interested in the toy.
0:09:21 > 0:09:24So we want this Frisbee to be really positive for her,
0:09:24 > 0:09:27so all we're going to do is wave it in front of her a bit.
0:09:27 > 0:09:30As soon as she goes to sniff it and see what it is, you give her a treat.
0:09:30 > 0:09:32So you just build upon that at the moment.
0:09:32 > 0:09:33- Do you want to give it a go?- Yeah.
0:09:33 > 0:09:36Cleo, look. Come on...
0:09:36 > 0:09:40Oh, dear, Cleo is not interested in that Frisbee whatsoever.
0:09:41 > 0:09:44- Do you want to get right down with her, shall we kneel down?- Look, look.
0:09:44 > 0:09:48Good girl, let's give her a treat for that, she went near it. Good girl.
0:09:48 > 0:09:50So at the moment, I would just try doing that.
0:09:50 > 0:09:52You've got to have loads of patience,
0:09:52 > 0:09:54but that's all what dog training is about. Good girl.
0:09:56 > 0:09:59Freddie and JJ, how have you been getting on?
0:09:59 > 0:10:02- I'll throw it and she'll go and catch it.- Yeah?
0:10:02 > 0:10:05But then she'll sometimes go under there or over there.
0:10:05 > 0:10:07So she's not bringing it back.
0:10:07 > 0:10:09That could be a problem for this team.
0:10:09 > 0:10:12Frisbee retrieval will be crucial for Showtime.
0:10:12 > 0:10:16So, if she does bring it back, loads of praise, OK?
0:10:16 > 0:10:20- So she realises it's all about you. - JJ! J-J-J-J.
0:10:21 > 0:10:23JJ's hiding, I think she's a bit tired,
0:10:23 > 0:10:26but you have to make sure that fun is in your hands.
0:10:26 > 0:10:29So you've got to throw it as soon as she brings it back.
0:10:29 > 0:10:33- Loads of praise.- Yeah, good girl.
0:10:33 > 0:10:34So I'm going to leave you to it.
0:10:34 > 0:10:36Right, guys, just hold it there a minute.
0:10:36 > 0:10:41The next time I see you, I want the dogs actually catching it.
0:10:41 > 0:10:43You've got a lot of work to do but I'm sure you'll do fine,
0:10:43 > 0:10:46and I'll see you back here in a couple of days.
0:10:46 > 0:10:47- Bye. ALL:- Bye.
0:10:47 > 0:10:51With only four days until the teams are back at the Dog House,
0:10:51 > 0:10:53they'll need to work seriously hard
0:10:53 > 0:10:55if they're to have any chance of mastering this trick.
0:10:57 > 0:11:01JJ, Cleo and Mika are all breeds that are normally
0:11:01 > 0:11:05classed as medium-sized, but they are far from average.
0:11:05 > 0:11:07Let's take a look at their doggie stats to see
0:11:07 > 0:11:10what makes them so special.
0:11:10 > 0:11:12JJ is a one-year-old Border collie,
0:11:12 > 0:11:14and was given her name
0:11:14 > 0:11:16because it's short and sweet, just like her.
0:11:17 > 0:11:20JJ can be a bit of an escape artist,
0:11:20 > 0:11:22and once jumped a fence to get to Freddie.
0:11:24 > 0:11:27Border collies are renowned for being an extremely bright breed,
0:11:27 > 0:11:31so catching a Frisbee should be a walk in the park for this team.
0:11:31 > 0:11:34Cleo is a two-year-old standard poodle.
0:11:34 > 0:11:38Holly says that Cleo is an extremely posh poodle,
0:11:38 > 0:11:42but she has been know to pinch Holly's packed lunch before school.
0:11:42 > 0:11:43Standard poodles are usually
0:11:43 > 0:11:45very fast learners,
0:11:45 > 0:11:46so if Cleo is true to her breed,
0:11:46 > 0:11:49this posh pooch should have no problems with this challenge.
0:11:52 > 0:11:55Mika is a four-year-old Siberian husky.
0:11:55 > 0:11:57This breed of dog are usually very clean,
0:11:57 > 0:12:00and they shed their coat every year.
0:12:00 > 0:12:02Mika has a big slobbery tongue,
0:12:02 > 0:12:05and once got it stuck in a clicker during training.
0:12:05 > 0:12:07Ouch!
0:12:07 > 0:12:10Can she put that tongue of hers to good use in today's challenge
0:12:10 > 0:12:12and catch some Frisbees? Hmm.
0:12:16 > 0:12:20It's day two of Training, and the teams are back at the Dog House.
0:12:20 > 0:12:21With Showtime just one week away,
0:12:21 > 0:12:23all of the teams have been practising hard.
0:12:27 > 0:12:29- How you doing, gang, you all right?- ALL:- Yeah.
0:12:29 > 0:12:31We're doing good, aren't we?
0:12:31 > 0:12:33So, Freddie and JJ first.
0:12:35 > 0:12:38- Yes, good girl!- Very good.
0:12:38 > 0:12:40Wow, what an amazing catch!
0:12:40 > 0:12:44And it looks like JJ is now bringing the Frisbee back.
0:12:44 > 0:12:46- She's definitely got a mean catch on her.- Brilliant.
0:12:46 > 0:12:49Nice one, Freddie, and nice encouragement as well.
0:12:49 > 0:12:52- Let's have a look at... - Regan and Mika, then.
0:12:52 > 0:12:54- Go, go, go. Yeah!- Good!
0:12:54 > 0:12:56- I like that.- Fantastic.
0:12:56 > 0:12:58Regan, big pat on the back there
0:12:58 > 0:13:00for getting that interest for the Frisbee,
0:13:00 > 0:13:03you've got all that energy going forwards, now I want you to try
0:13:03 > 0:13:06and encourage... her coming back to you as well.
0:13:06 > 0:13:07Mika, go get it.
0:13:07 > 0:13:10And run back, back, back, back.
0:13:10 > 0:13:14- Perfect! - Where does Regan get all her energy?
0:13:14 > 0:13:15It's certainly working for them.
0:13:15 > 0:13:18ASHLEIGH LAUGHS You're so enthusiastic.
0:13:18 > 0:13:19Holly and Cleo, then.
0:13:19 > 0:13:22Cleo last week, having a little bit of trouble getting her
0:13:22 > 0:13:25- interested in the Frisbee.- Just roll it along, let's have a little look.
0:13:25 > 0:13:27What's the worst that can happen?
0:13:27 > 0:13:30- Good girl!- Fantastic.- Good girl.
0:13:30 > 0:13:33Well, Cleo's definitely looking more interested in the Frisbee,
0:13:33 > 0:13:36but she still needs to learn how to fetch it.
0:13:36 > 0:13:37Come and get it, come on.
0:13:37 > 0:13:39Have a play with this, it's slightly softer
0:13:39 > 0:13:41and maybe more comfortable for her mouth.
0:13:43 > 0:13:46The softer Frisbee seems to be working.
0:13:46 > 0:13:47Yes! Well done, Steve.
0:13:49 > 0:13:52- Go!- Cleo, Cleo. - Run, run, run, run.
0:13:52 > 0:13:57Good girl, fantastic! That's a huge, big leap in the right direction.
0:13:57 > 0:13:59I think that was absolutely brilliant,
0:13:59 > 0:14:01all the dogs have made so much progress.
0:14:01 > 0:14:03Well done, really good to see.
0:14:03 > 0:14:05OK, so the last couple of stages we're going to build in,
0:14:05 > 0:14:08that's adding some distance and
0:14:08 > 0:14:10nice, efficient turnaround in between throws.
0:14:10 > 0:14:12So, the first step is...
0:14:12 > 0:14:15I want you to encourage them around you before you throw the Frisbee.
0:14:15 > 0:14:18It's going to be much easier for your dog coming up behind
0:14:18 > 0:14:20the Frisbee to catch it, as opposed
0:14:20 > 0:14:22to trying to catch it front-on.
0:14:22 > 0:14:24Throw the Frisbee, add a little bit more distance each time.
0:14:24 > 0:14:26If you're throwing it too far
0:14:26 > 0:14:29and your dog's not getting there quick enough, lessen the distance.
0:14:29 > 0:14:31- That make sense? - ALL:- Yeah.- Fantastic.
0:14:31 > 0:14:34- Good luck, catch you later. See ya!- Bye.
0:14:34 > 0:14:36Come on, then, Freddie and JJ, you're first.
0:14:38 > 0:14:40Aw, almost, almost.
0:14:40 > 0:14:42So try, I know it's going to be difficult,
0:14:42 > 0:14:45but try going round and throwing it accurately in front of you.
0:14:45 > 0:14:47- Again?- J.
0:14:48 > 0:14:50That throw still looked a bit wonky to me.
0:14:51 > 0:14:53So maybe you need to go home
0:14:53 > 0:14:56and practise just going round yourself and throwing it accurately.
0:14:56 > 0:14:58But good, well done.
0:14:58 > 0:15:00Right, Regan and Mika, then.
0:15:02 > 0:15:04Yeah, come on, Mika.
0:15:04 > 0:15:07Wow, Regan and Mika are catching the Frisbee too.
0:15:07 > 0:15:11Looks like Freddie and JJ have some competition.
0:15:11 > 0:15:13So with Mika, what you've really got to work on is building
0:15:13 > 0:15:15that distance up now.
0:15:15 > 0:15:17OK? Good, well done.
0:15:17 > 0:15:21Holly and Cleo, then. Just throw it straightaway, there we go.
0:15:21 > 0:15:26- Come on, Cleo.- Good girl, now call her. Yeah, well done!
0:15:27 > 0:15:31Cleo definitely seems to be loving that new soft Frisbee.
0:15:31 > 0:15:35Yeah, good girl. We're going to leave it at that.
0:15:35 > 0:15:39You guys have done absolutely amazing, I'm so impressed.
0:15:39 > 0:15:43- Carry on training and have fun. Bye! ALL:- Bye.
0:15:43 > 0:15:46Playing Frisbee is tons of fun for both you and your dog.
0:15:46 > 0:15:48Here are five steps on how to teach it.
0:15:50 > 0:15:54Step one - get your dog interested in the Frisbee by getting low
0:15:54 > 0:15:56and moving it around.
0:15:56 > 0:15:57Put the Frisbee on a string if it helps.
0:15:59 > 0:16:04Step two - make sure your dog learns to take the Frisbee and let go.
0:16:05 > 0:16:08Step three - roll the Frisbee a short distance
0:16:08 > 0:16:12and then run away from your dog, to build up enthusiasm.
0:16:13 > 0:16:16Step four - start to throw the Frisbee a short distance,
0:16:16 > 0:16:19and get your dog to retrieve it and give it back to you.
0:16:21 > 0:16:24Step five - encourage your dog to go round you
0:16:24 > 0:16:27when you throw the Frisbee, then build up the distance
0:16:27 > 0:16:31until your dog can catch it at ten metres or more.
0:16:31 > 0:16:35Remember to reward big and give your dog plenty of rest during training.
0:16:35 > 0:16:40During Training, we got out a yellow soft Frisbee,
0:16:40 > 0:16:43and she was a lot more interested in it than the hard one.
0:16:43 > 0:16:47I'm going to work on throwing the Frisbee at the right height,
0:16:47 > 0:16:52my head height, so that it'll be the right height for JJ to catch it.
0:16:52 > 0:16:55That session went really good, I think it's the best one she's had
0:16:55 > 0:16:59so far, she made so much progress and looked really happy as well.
0:17:03 > 0:17:05Pudsey and I do loads of routines,
0:17:05 > 0:17:07so it is really important
0:17:07 > 0:17:10that we always have a starting position and an ending position.
0:17:10 > 0:17:15So today, we're going to be showing you the finish. Our first step, then.
0:17:15 > 0:17:17You're going to have two treats, one in each hand,
0:17:17 > 0:17:19and you're going to guide the dog
0:17:19 > 0:17:21around the back of you, and then treat,
0:17:21 > 0:17:24always making sure that you give the treat on the left-hand side.
0:17:24 > 0:17:27Once you think your dog is starting to understand what you want
0:17:27 > 0:17:30from them, you can gradually build your hands away. Ready?
0:17:30 > 0:17:34So, lifting them higher and higher... Good, well done.
0:17:34 > 0:17:36..until you have this. Ready?
0:17:36 > 0:17:38Go round. Good!
0:17:38 > 0:17:40And I just said a "go round" there,
0:17:40 > 0:17:42so I'm starting to bring in my command.
0:17:42 > 0:17:45I call it go round, you can call it finish, whatever you want.
0:17:45 > 0:17:47As soon as they stop on the left-hand side of you,
0:17:47 > 0:17:49you're going to add in a "sit".
0:17:49 > 0:17:53Ready, Pudsey? Ready, steady... Go round.
0:17:53 > 0:17:57Sit. Good boy, well done!
0:17:57 > 0:18:01You only treat your dog if your dog sits on the left-hand side of you.
0:18:01 > 0:18:04And your finished product should look like this. Ready, Puds?
0:18:04 > 0:18:08Go round, round, round...sit!
0:18:09 > 0:18:12Good boy, well done. Good luck.
0:18:17 > 0:18:19I think Pudsey's fantastic,
0:18:19 > 0:18:23but every day I hear stories of other dogs that are really amazing.
0:18:23 > 0:18:25Take a look at this.
0:18:30 > 0:18:32This is the latest dog and human fitness craze
0:18:32 > 0:18:34that's sweeping the nation.
0:18:34 > 0:18:37It's a new sport where dogs are attached to their owners' waists
0:18:37 > 0:18:42by a stretchy cord, and the two go for a run together.
0:18:42 > 0:18:46It's called canicross - which is a cross between the words "canine"
0:18:46 > 0:18:47and "cross-country".
0:18:50 > 0:18:53Canicross is fun because lots of people do it at the same time,
0:18:53 > 0:18:55and you get to run all over the countryside,
0:18:55 > 0:18:59as well as running faster than you would on your own.
0:19:02 > 0:19:05Sometimes canicross can involve hill climbing,
0:19:05 > 0:19:08so it's fantastic exercise for both you and your dog.
0:19:11 > 0:19:13Any breed of dog can take part in canicross, and there
0:19:13 > 0:19:17are groups all over the country, so what are you waiting for?
0:19:24 > 0:19:2812 days of extreme-Frisbee training are over.
0:19:28 > 0:19:31And it's time for our three teams to battle it out
0:19:31 > 0:19:33for a place in the semifinals.
0:19:39 > 0:19:42Only one can stay in the competition.
0:19:46 > 0:19:49The worst thing that could happen at Showtime is that Cleo doesn't
0:19:49 > 0:19:53even look at the Frisbee, she wouldn't fetch it, run after it.
0:19:53 > 0:19:56Which dog will have its day?
0:19:56 > 0:19:59I'm quite confident that I can make it through to the semifinals
0:19:59 > 0:20:02because JJ can catch a Frisbee quite well.
0:20:02 > 0:20:05I've just got to get my throwing right.
0:20:05 > 0:20:08And who will leave sick as a dog?
0:20:08 > 0:20:11It would mean, like, everything to me to get to the semifinal
0:20:11 > 0:20:15because it's what I love doing with Mika, and it would just be amazing.
0:20:16 > 0:20:19It is time...to find out.
0:20:24 > 0:20:28It's...Showtime! This is where our trainers are going to be standing.
0:20:28 > 0:20:31They're going to be throwing their Frisbees in this direction
0:20:31 > 0:20:35and our dogs will have three minutes to try and catch as many as possible
0:20:35 > 0:20:37past this five-metre line.
0:20:37 > 0:20:40If our dogs manage to catch the Frisbee past this line,
0:20:40 > 0:20:44they will receive five points for each catch.
0:20:44 > 0:20:46And here is our ten-metre line.
0:20:46 > 0:20:48If our dogs manage to catch the Frisbee past this line,
0:20:48 > 0:20:51they will receive ten points.
0:20:51 > 0:20:55- Woo!- Oh!- Just the man. I know, that was good.
0:20:55 > 0:20:58Now, I am dying to find out how our trainers have been doing.
0:20:58 > 0:21:00It could go close, you know,
0:21:00 > 0:21:03it's Showtime, this is something the guys can't train for.
0:21:03 > 0:21:05The dog that copes the best with the excitement, I think
0:21:05 > 0:21:07will score best in the competition.
0:21:07 > 0:21:09Good, well, shall we go find out which dog is going
0:21:09 > 0:21:11- through to the semifinal? - Can't wait.- Let's go.
0:21:13 > 0:21:15First up, it's Freddie and JJ.
0:21:15 > 0:21:17They've been the strongest contenders from the start,
0:21:17 > 0:21:21but when we last saw Freddie, he was struggling with his throwing skills.
0:21:24 > 0:21:27Has he managed to overcome this problem before it's too late?
0:21:29 > 0:21:31Well, that looks like a pretty straight throw to me.
0:21:31 > 0:21:35And they've bagged themselves five points for that impressive catch.
0:21:35 > 0:21:39- J, here. Go, J! - Can they get another?
0:21:39 > 0:21:41Ooh, yes! That's five more points.
0:21:43 > 0:21:48- Go, J.- That's a great catch, and that takes them to 15 points.
0:21:48 > 0:21:49Come on, JJ.
0:21:51 > 0:21:54This one looks big...but no problems for JJ.
0:21:54 > 0:21:57She jumped, grabbed it, didn't let go - fantastic stuff.
0:22:01 > 0:22:04- Can they get a few more?- Yeah!
0:22:04 > 0:22:07Yes, but - was that one over the ten metres?
0:22:09 > 0:22:12Ooh, not quite, JJ caught it just before the line.
0:22:14 > 0:22:16This throw might make it...
0:22:16 > 0:22:18Ooh, but JJ couldn't quite reach it.
0:22:20 > 0:22:23Go on, J. Yay, good girl!
0:22:23 > 0:22:26Yes, another good catch, and very close to the ten-metre line again.
0:22:30 > 0:22:31Yay, good girl!
0:22:31 > 0:22:34It's another five-pointer, taking them up to 35 points.
0:22:36 > 0:22:39This is incredible, they are doing amazingly well
0:22:39 > 0:22:41and have now got 40 points.
0:22:43 > 0:22:45Go! Go on, J.
0:22:45 > 0:22:49That's another five-pointer, and this team still look full of energy.
0:22:51 > 0:22:56But with time running out, can they get a catch over the ten metres?
0:22:56 > 0:22:59Not quite, but they now have an impressive score of 50 points.
0:23:04 > 0:23:05- Yay!- Yes!
0:23:05 > 0:23:09With seconds to spare, they finally got a catch over the ten-metre line.
0:23:09 > 0:23:10Unbelievable!
0:23:13 > 0:23:15They were really good, J.
0:23:17 > 0:23:19Freddie and JJ did fantastically well
0:23:19 > 0:23:23and managed to bag themselves an impressive total of 60 points,
0:23:23 > 0:23:24but will that high score be enough
0:23:24 > 0:23:26to take them through to the next round?
0:23:31 > 0:23:33Next up, it's Holly and Cleo.
0:23:33 > 0:23:36Holly struggled to get Cleo interested in the Frisbee
0:23:36 > 0:23:39at the start of Training, so Steve gave them a softer one
0:23:39 > 0:23:40to help them progress.
0:23:40 > 0:23:42Have they managed to fetch the softer Frisbee,
0:23:42 > 0:23:46and can they pull it out of the bag today when it really matters?
0:23:48 > 0:23:51Go on, Cleo, go on, go get it.
0:23:51 > 0:23:54Oh, dear, it's not looking like the strongest of starts for this team.
0:23:54 > 0:24:00- Cleo, come on.- Come on, Cleo, fetch the Frisbee.
0:24:00 > 0:24:03- Get it!- Or not.
0:24:03 > 0:24:06It's a shame you don't get points for looking pretty.
0:24:06 > 0:24:08That's it, Holly, that's good training.
0:24:08 > 0:24:12She's trying to get Cleo interested in the Frisbee.
0:24:12 > 0:24:14Go get it. Go on, Cleo, go on.
0:24:14 > 0:24:17But sadly, it doesn't seem to be working.
0:24:17 > 0:24:20Cleo seems to be more interested in sniffing the grass than
0:24:20 > 0:24:22playing with the Frisbee.
0:24:23 > 0:24:25What? Oh, no, no, no!
0:24:25 > 0:24:26this is not the time
0:24:26 > 0:24:28or the place, Cleo.
0:24:28 > 0:24:30Stop the clock.
0:24:30 > 0:24:32That's not pretty or ladylike.
0:24:33 > 0:24:35Cleo...
0:24:36 > 0:24:39If you're quite finished, Cleo, ahem,
0:24:39 > 0:24:42then there's still time for you to make your first catch.
0:24:42 > 0:24:47- Cleo, catch it.- Come on, Cleo, there's only seconds left.- Go on.
0:24:49 > 0:24:52- TIME UP BUZZER - Well, Holly and Cleo didn't manage
0:24:52 > 0:24:53to make any catches,
0:24:53 > 0:24:54but they tried their best,
0:24:54 > 0:24:56and despite Cleo's little, eh...episode,
0:24:56 > 0:24:58she's still a pretty posh pooch.
0:25:01 > 0:25:03Last but not least, it's Regan and Mika.
0:25:04 > 0:25:07This team progressed really well in Training,
0:25:07 > 0:25:10and Regan's enthusiasm shone throughout.
0:25:10 > 0:25:12Has practice made perfect for them,
0:25:12 > 0:25:15and can they secure that semifinal spot?
0:25:17 > 0:25:18Mika, go! Yay!
0:25:18 > 0:25:21That's a good catch, but it's not over the five-metre line.
0:25:21 > 0:25:22You can do it.
0:25:22 > 0:25:25They need to catch that Frisbee over the five-metre line
0:25:25 > 0:25:27to score some points.
0:25:28 > 0:25:33- Regan's enthusiastic as ever. - Yay! Come on, Mika.
0:25:33 > 0:25:36Well, that throw was over the five metres...
0:25:36 > 0:25:39but Mika looks to be losing interest.
0:25:39 > 0:25:42Regan needs to get her interest back - and quick.
0:25:43 > 0:25:45What is Regan going to do?
0:25:47 > 0:25:49Wow, good thinking, Regan, that was amazing.
0:25:49 > 0:25:52She's doing some tricks with Mika to get her focus back.
0:25:53 > 0:25:54Go, go, go!
0:25:54 > 0:25:57And it looks to have worked, Mika is catching the Frisbee again,
0:25:57 > 0:25:59but nowhere near the five-metre mark.
0:26:00 > 0:26:04Only seconds left on the clock, can they get any points?
0:26:04 > 0:26:07Mika, go, go, go, yes!
0:26:07 > 0:26:08TIME UP BUZZER
0:26:08 > 0:26:09Oh, no, they can't,
0:26:09 > 0:26:12but let's check out that impressive back vault again.
0:26:12 > 0:26:16Whoa, it's even more impressive in super slow-mo.
0:26:16 > 0:26:18Shame it wasn't a back-vault competition.
0:26:24 > 0:26:28I can reveal that the winner of today's challenge is...
0:26:34 > 0:26:36..Freddie and JJ!
0:26:36 > 0:26:39- Yeah, good girl.- Well done, JJ. - How do you feel, Freddie?
0:26:39 > 0:26:42I'm just really glad with JJ and how well she's done.
0:26:42 > 0:26:43You should be very proud.
0:26:43 > 0:26:46Really good effort from all three of them,
0:26:46 > 0:26:49but I think Freddie and JJ are absolutely deserved winners.
0:26:49 > 0:26:50Big well done, guys.
0:26:50 > 0:26:53Now, join us next time on Who Let The Dogs Out, where we will be
0:26:53 > 0:26:57meeting three new trainers and their amazing dogs.
0:26:57 > 0:26:59- See you then, bye.- Bye-bye.
0:27:00 > 0:27:01Hey, well done, guys.
0:27:05 > 0:27:07Hannah and Jake, Eleanor and Lucy,
0:27:07 > 0:27:09and Dominic and Cosmo
0:27:09 > 0:27:11get set for some serious skipping...
0:27:12 > 0:27:15That was a pants jump from you, though.

0:27:20 > 0:27:25- Perfect, give him loads of praise. - So watch it, you!
0:27:25 > 0:27:28I feel really excited winning the Frisbee cos that means
0:27:28 > 0:27:30I'm through to the semifinals.
0:27:30 > 0:27:32I'd like to wish Freddie good luck for the next round.
0:27:34 > 0:27:39I wish Freddie the best of luck, and I hope JJ is raring to go as usual.
0:27:39 > 0:27:43I'm just over the moon for JJ because she caught the Frisbees
0:27:43 > 0:27:45really well, and I'm really pleased with her.
0:27:49 > 0:27:51What a great day, eh, Puds?
0:27:51 > 0:27:53Although, if I didn't know you better,
0:27:53 > 0:27:55I'd say you fancy one of the dogs.
0:27:55 > 0:27:59Oh, you know who! I saw you drooling all over Cleo like a lovesick puppy.
0:27:59 > 0:28:01PUDSEY WHINES
