:00:10. > :00:18.You are watching x-ray, the show that fights for your rights. If you

:00:19. > :00:23.have been ripped off or that deal turns out to be dodgy, we will

:00:24. > :00:30.battle it out on your behalf. Excuse me, you never checked those vehicles

:00:31. > :00:40.when you sold them. We are here to fight your corner.

:00:41. > :00:46.The 4x4S with some worrying rust problems!

:00:47. > :00:54.It's dangerous and somebody's gonna get hurt.

:00:55. > :00:56.Thomson's state-of-the-art Dreamliner promises

:00:57. > :01:02.to "change the future of flying" sounds great - IF it turns up!

:01:03. > :01:08.I didn't know how to tell my wife - this was our dream holiday

:01:09. > :01:12.And it's every pet owner's worst nightmare -

:01:13. > :01:17.we investigate the rise in dog thefts around Wales.

:01:18. > :01:21.I don't know if he's alive, or I don't know if someone's got him

:01:22. > :01:28.and if they're looking after him or if they're not looking after him.

:01:29. > :01:31.First tonight - Rachel's been delving into a hidden problem

:01:32. > :01:38.which is making some Nissan owners VERY nervous!

:01:39. > :01:49.Sleek for the city and a popular off-roader too.

:01:50. > :01:52.The D40 Navara's a 4 x 4 that not only looks good

:01:53. > :01:57.but has some serious horsepower behind it too -

:01:58. > :02:05.Since it went on sale in 2005, there's been no shortage of people

:02:06. > :02:15.willing to fork out more than ?17,000 for one.

:02:16. > :02:17.But underneath some of these 4x4s, there are flaws

:02:18. > :02:24.that Nissan aren't quite so keen to shout out about.

:02:25. > :02:26.Rust - causing serious weaknesses in the chassis,

:02:27. > :02:37.The problem affects some models sold between 2005 and 2008.

:02:38. > :02:39.But sheepdog trainer Malcom Jones from Swansea

:02:40. > :02:47.He bought his 07 plate Navara five years ago.

:02:48. > :02:51.Everything you wanted was in that car.

:02:52. > :02:53.Sat nav, electric seats, electric windows and plenty of room

:02:54. > :02:59.for my dogs in the back, so I couldn't wish for better.

:03:00. > :03:04.Malcolm's Navara had served him well - until last November.

:03:05. > :03:08.He and his wife were driving home when they heard a loud noise.

:03:09. > :03:11.There was one hell of a mighty bang!

:03:12. > :03:18.It was very frightening cos I didn't know what had happened.

:03:19. > :03:22.And when Malcolm saw the damage, he couldn't believe his eyes.

:03:23. > :03:29.All that was holding the car together was the tin

:03:30. > :03:32.from the back where it's bolted onto the front.

:03:33. > :03:39.Malcolm's daughter, Michelle, was shocked by her parents' close call.

:03:40. > :03:49.They were going 60 on the motorway literally half an hour previous

:03:50. > :03:51.to it snapping, so you know, dread to think

:03:52. > :03:57.Nissan collected the car and agreed to pay Malcolm

:03:58. > :04:05.And when Malcolm's family went online, they discovered

:04:06. > :04:12.they weren't the only Navara owners with a problem chassis.

:04:13. > :04:15.They found a facebook campaign, set up by Navara owners

:04:16. > :04:22.Nissan has inspected - and offered to buy back

:04:23. > :04:27.some vehicles with excessively rusty chassis.

:04:28. > :04:30.But Gerwyn Davies from Pembrokeshire is far from happy

:04:31. > :04:37.I dropped the car off down at the local MOT station.

:04:38. > :04:40.The MOT inspector phoned me and said that there's a lot

:04:41. > :04:49.Gerwyn, who bought his 55-plate Navara in May,

:04:50. > :04:51.was surprised to learn of many other Navara owners

:04:52. > :04:56.The problem was getting widescale,

:04:57. > :04:58.and all of a sudden know I'm just thinking,

:04:59. > :05:01."Oh, my God, we've got a serious problem here."

:05:02. > :05:03.I've got family who travel in the car with me.

:05:04. > :05:06.I don't feel safe with them in there at all.

:05:07. > :05:10.The local Nissan dealer arranged for the car to be inspected -

:05:11. > :05:14.but Gerwyn says it was surprisingly brief.

:05:15. > :05:21.He shuffled underneath my car with a camera phone.

:05:22. > :05:23.Took photographs and told me the inspection was complete.

:05:24. > :05:26.It's just not acceptable, in my own opinion.

:05:27. > :05:28.And when Nissan delivered their verdict,

:05:29. > :05:37.The car was fine to use and drive to which I replied

:05:38. > :05:43.to Nissan how can you really tell that from a camera phone?

:05:44. > :05:47.To which they reply I had also was that our technical team has

:05:48. > :05:48.analysed the photographs and said it is fine.

:05:49. > :05:54.So we asked independent vehicle inspector Gareth Rees

:05:55. > :06:02.You can see there's quite a bit of corrosion

:06:03. > :06:09.But Gareth suspects he's not seeing the full picture.

:06:10. > :06:13.So he uses a special camera to look inside the chassis,

:06:14. > :06:17.something Nissan didn't seem to do.

:06:18. > :06:22.Immediately we can see quite a bit of corrosion

:06:23. > :06:26.and deterioration on the interior of the chasis rail.

:06:27. > :06:29.Now that's not displaying on the exterior of the chassis rail

:06:30. > :06:33.so it's to a far higher degree on the interior.

:06:34. > :06:36.There's aggressive corrosion going on.

:06:37. > :06:39.There's a weakening from the inside out.

:06:40. > :06:43.And it's only going to be a matter of time before that chassis

:06:44. > :06:45.section's weakened to a point where it becomes unroadworthy

:06:46. > :06:52.To me it seems to be a problem that's inherent from manufacture

:06:53. > :06:55.because it's common to so many vehicles that I've looked at.

:06:56. > :06:58.Gareth's urging Nissan to dig deep during their inspections -

:06:59. > :07:03.because the extent of the rust could be well hidden.

:07:04. > :07:08.I don't think in my opinion that taking external photographs

:07:09. > :07:14.of the chassis is doing credit to the problem that's existing.

:07:15. > :07:16.I think that there's got to be a more in-depth

:07:17. > :07:22.examination and investigation to resolve this issue.

:07:23. > :07:34.I think Nissan should recall these vehicles.

:07:35. > :07:39.It's dangerous and somebody's going to get hurt.

:07:40. > :07:41.Well, we asked Nissan what they're doing to reassure

:07:42. > :07:45.worried Navara owners - and, crucially,

:07:46. > :07:50.will they recall cars which could be affected?

:07:51. > :07:55.Nissan insist there isn't a "safety issue", because corrosion

:07:56. > :07:58.is a gradual process and routine maintenance should detect any

:07:59. > :08:04.They admit they are aware of a "relatively small" number

:08:05. > :08:09.of older D40 Navaras experiencing chassis corrosion.

:08:10. > :08:12.They're offering free, independent inspections

:08:13. > :08:17."where appropriate" and, if issues are found,

:08:18. > :08:23.which could include repairing or replacing the vehicle.

:08:24. > :08:26.As for Gerwyn, who we saw in the film, they say their thorough

:08:27. > :08:30.inspection didn't find excessive corrosion - but in light

:08:31. > :08:33.of the concerns raised by our expert, Gareth Rees,

:08:34. > :08:36.they're happy to look at the case again -

:08:37. > :08:46.we've put Nissan's contact details on our website.

:08:47. > :08:49.And if there's anything you'd like us to look into,

:08:50. > :08:58.You can also send us an email xray@bbc.co.uk -

:08:59. > :09:09.The angry Thomson's customers who didn't get the luxury trip

:09:10. > :09:13.She said, sorry, we reserve the right to change the plane.

:09:14. > :09:16.There's no compensation. There's no refund for the seating.

:09:17. > :09:21.You can of course cancel but you'll lose all your money.

:09:22. > :09:23.Next, I've been looking into a heart-breaking problem

:09:24. > :09:31.affecting more and more families across Wales.

:09:32. > :09:36.If you're a dog lover, you'll know all about that special bond.

:09:37. > :09:45.They really do become part of the family!

:09:46. > :09:48.We've had little Buddy here for about a year and a half

:09:49. > :09:52.and I cannot imagine our lives without him.

:09:53. > :09:55.But more and more pet owners like me are having to deal with

:09:56. > :10:02.the sudden disappearence of the pet they love.

:10:03. > :10:05.In the past three years, dog thefts have risen

:10:06. > :10:16.and South wales is one of the UK's hotspots for dog-napping.

:10:17. > :10:18.Two-year-old Sherbert is a Toy Poodle Bichon Frise cross

:10:19. > :10:24.In October he was stolen from his home in Newport,

:10:25. > :10:31.leaving owner Tricia Scott and her family devastated.

:10:32. > :10:33.My son was only just 18 months when we got him

:10:34. > :10:45.We'd had him from a puppy, brand-new, if you like.

:10:46. > :10:47.My children kind of grew up with him,

:10:48. > :10:53.so it was like having a third child, really.

:10:54. > :10:56.So Tricia, this was the garden then that Sherbert was taken from?

:10:57. > :11:00.He would come out to it from that cat flap, would he?

:11:01. > :11:03.Yes, literally let himself in and out, as and when he needed to.

:11:04. > :11:07.So I can see fencing and that gate doesn't open, does it?

:11:08. > :11:09.No, that gate is actually nailed shut, and there's no way

:11:10. > :11:13.it could have been left open accidentally,

:11:14. > :11:18.So how do you think they got in then?

:11:19. > :11:21.Well, on the other side of this fence is a public lane.

:11:22. > :11:24.So I believe they would have come over the top of the gate

:11:25. > :11:29.or the top of the fence, just down into the garden.

:11:30. > :11:31.You wouldn't think that letting your dog out briefly

:11:32. > :11:38.would put him in danger of being stolen.

:11:39. > :11:48.Tricia has spread the word online and put up posters.

:11:49. > :11:50.She's also sought the help of campaigner

:11:51. > :11:54.and fellow Newport resident, Jayne Hayes.

:11:55. > :11:58.Jayne set up her volunteer organisation from her home

:11:59. > :12:03.In that time, she has dealt with 84,000 cases

:12:04. > :12:08.Around a quarter of them were stolen.

:12:09. > :12:11.I set it up after my own dog was stolen,

:12:12. > :12:13.so I know exactly what these people are going through.

:12:14. > :12:16.Though I had no idea how many other people were suffering.

:12:17. > :12:21.Up to 20-25% more calls are coming in.

:12:22. > :12:31.And trying to find these stolen pets keeps Jayne very busy.

:12:32. > :12:37.Do you have much success reuniting dogs with their owners?

:12:38. > :12:41.Yes, that's why I do it - that's why we all do it.

:12:42. > :12:46.85% of dogs we get back. We believe nothing disappears into thin air.

:12:47. > :12:48.You've just got to keep going and going.

:12:49. > :12:51.Jayne shows me her list of dogs currently missing in Wales.

:12:52. > :13:02.You get a whole profile, where he went missing, pictures,

:13:03. > :13:05.posters, how many views - 10,547 so far.

:13:06. > :13:09.That's amazing - there's been 10,000 views on him.

:13:10. > :13:14.Then underneath, all the sightings, what's happening,

:13:15. > :13:16.when the owner's posting updates and other dog owners

:13:17. > :13:17.are coming on sort of giving encouragement.

:13:18. > :13:19.Quite often people say that's the only thing

:13:20. > :13:22.that keeps them going, knowing that someone cares,

:13:23. > :13:24.total strangers willing to help them.

:13:25. > :13:29.The most valuable targets for thieves are small,

:13:30. > :13:33.pedigree breeds like French bulldogs and Chihuahuas -

:13:34. > :13:39.along with working dogs in rural areas.

:13:40. > :13:42.South Wales and Gwent police recorded more than 320 dog thefts

:13:43. > :13:50.in the last five years - but only 14 people were charged.

:13:51. > :13:52.The punishment does not fit the crime.

:13:53. > :13:55.They hand out a sentence as though it were a mobile phone

:13:56. > :14:00.And until we get those levels up of punishment,

:14:01. > :14:02.we're going to see an increase even more and more.

:14:03. > :14:04.In desperation, Tricia offered a reward for

:14:05. > :14:11.Sherbert's safe return - but it brought more heartache.

:14:12. > :14:13.We had one caller, literally a few days before Christmas,

:14:14. > :14:18.And unfortunately it turned into more sort of harassment,

:14:19. > :14:20.so he was constantly calling Christmas Day, Boxing Day,

:14:21. > :14:29.In the end it was from five or six different numbers

:14:30. > :14:31.and we did have to get the police involved in it.

:14:32. > :14:33.He was claiming he had the dog

:14:34. > :14:38.He sent a picture, one of my pictures in the house

:14:39. > :14:42.of the dog, and was asking me to send the money up front.

:14:43. > :14:45.It's been four months since Sherbert was stolen -

:14:46. > :14:55.And not being able to tell my kids what's happening,

:14:56. > :15:02.I don't know if he's alive, or I don't know if someone's got him

:15:03. > :15:06.and if they're looking after him or if they're not looking after him.

:15:07. > :15:13.Well, Becky Baker from the Dogs Trust is with me -

:15:14. > :15:18.Becky, this is a nightmare scenario for any family,

:15:19. > :15:22.who is taking these dogs, what are they doing with them?

:15:23. > :15:25.So unfortunately buying dogs online is a massive trade at the moment.

:15:26. > :15:27.They're stealing dogs to put them into that trade, especially,

:15:28. > :15:30.if they are designer breeds such as French bulldogs,

:15:31. > :15:33.dachshunds, they are going to be fuelling that trade.

:15:34. > :15:34.What can people do to reduce the chances

:15:35. > :15:47.So it's always important to think about making your garden secure.

:15:48. > :15:49.No obvious gaps in your garden, padlocks on gates,

:15:50. > :15:52.make sure they can't climb over the fence as well.

:15:53. > :15:54.And what about signs like this that some people have

:15:55. > :15:57.in windows of their homes, what do you make of that?

:15:58. > :16:03.Not ideal - you're advertising that that a dog lives there.

:16:04. > :16:05.If they notice your car's not on the drive

:16:06. > :16:08.or no lights on, people may use that as a target.

:16:09. > :16:15.Microchipping is now law, it's been the law since April last year.

:16:16. > :16:20.It's really important that whether you purchase a dog or rescue

:16:21. > :16:23.a dog, make sure it's microchipped before you take it home.

:16:24. > :16:25.Dogs Trust do it for free, and also your vetinerary

:16:26. > :16:28.service in your local area will do it for a small fee,

:16:29. > :16:32.So microchips are usually in the back of the neck but it's

:16:33. > :16:35.important to check the shoulders as well, because they can slip.

:16:36. > :16:39.You can see a 16 or 14-digit code on the back of the neck there.

:16:40. > :16:41.If I put that into a database that would show all my details

:16:42. > :16:52.Her breed, her age, so they could reunite Sansa with me.

:16:53. > :17:01.What should you do if the worst happens and your dog is taken?

:17:02. > :17:07.It's important to contact the police.

:17:08. > :17:10.It's also important to contact the dog warden

:17:11. > :17:12.and local dog rescue centres and veterinary surgeries

:17:13. > :17:14.to see if anyone has brought them in.

:17:15. > :17:16.Becky, thank you. Next, it's time for a news update.

:17:17. > :17:18.Remember those faulty Hotpoint, Indesit and Creda tumble dryers

:17:19. > :17:25.Anyone waiting for a repair had been told they could continue using them,

:17:26. > :17:32.But Trading Standards has intervened, and now parent company

:17:33. > :17:35.Whirlpool are telling customers to unplug them and not use them

:17:36. > :17:42.Check out Whirlpool's website for details.

:17:43. > :17:45.Could you sleep through a noisy smoke alarm?

:17:46. > :17:47.Well, it seems that due to their high-pitched frequency,

:17:48. > :17:53.Now, researchers have developed a new alarm with a lower pitch

:17:54. > :17:57.and a woman's voice, warning that the house is on fire.

:17:58. > :17:59.Derbyshire Fire Service are looking for 500 families

:18:00. > :18:05.And we're often urged to switch energy suppliers

:18:06. > :18:10.But British Gas will be rewarding its customers with

:18:11. > :18:16.Millions of people will be offered deals and discounts for things

:18:17. > :18:24.Next, if you're booking a trip of a lifetime,

:18:25. > :18:30.you want to make sure every detail is planned to perfection.

:18:31. > :18:34.But Rachel's been looking into one travel company which doesn't always

:18:35. > :18:41.deliver the dream it describes in the brochures.

:18:42. > :18:45.Air travel has changed quite a bit over the years.

:18:46. > :18:47.As propellers made way for jet engines,

:18:48. > :18:55.planes became larger, faster and altogether more comfortable.

:18:56. > :18:58.Now let's face it, if you're flying halfway around the world on holiday,

:18:59. > :19:02.you want that journey to be as relaxing as possible.

:19:03. > :19:04.And if you want to go that extra air mile,

:19:05. > :19:07.you might even consider booking a seat

:19:08. > :19:10.on the latest luxury airliner.

:19:11. > :19:16.Like this one - the Thomson 787 Dreamliner.

:19:17. > :19:19.The company boasts it's the most stylish way to fly.

:19:20. > :19:35.Well, it's spacious - with more legroom and head room.

:19:36. > :19:36.It's got mood lighting that mimics dawn and dusk.

:19:37. > :19:42.And it even has lower cabin pressure clock, apparently.

:19:43. > :19:45.so more oxygen can be absorbed into your blood.

:19:46. > :19:54.It certainly appealed to Garth and Sandra Caswell

:19:55. > :19:58.Living just a mile from Cardiff airport,

:19:59. > :20:05.they wanted to book the trip of a lifetime.

:20:06. > :20:07.Sandra and I had always looked forward to using

:20:08. > :20:09.our retirement to do, like most people, certain things.

:20:10. > :20:15.And one of those was travelling on perhaps long haul flights.

:20:16. > :20:23.For years, Sandra has suffered from chronic pain in her hips -

:20:24. > :20:26.and wouldn't be able to spend nine hours on a plane,

:20:27. > :20:34.So Garth popped into a Thomson travel agent for some advice

:20:35. > :20:37.So you know the cruise we've just booked?

:20:38. > :20:46.It was a two week Caribbean cruise, costing ?5,000.

:20:47. > :20:49.They'd be flying from Cardiff airport - on the Dreamliner.

:20:50. > :20:55.What they've said is, it's definitely a Dreamliner.

:20:56. > :20:57.It's got all the comfy seats,

:20:58. > :21:00.so you won't have to worry about your hip.

:21:01. > :21:03.This lady confirmed it's true, look at the brochure,

:21:04. > :21:08.And it was that that allowed us to book the flight.

:21:09. > :21:14.So it seemed the Caswells' dream of jetting off

:21:15. > :21:18.on a Caribbean adventure was finally taking flight.

:21:19. > :21:20.But just a few days before departure,

:21:21. > :21:30.Garth phoned the company to double-check

:21:31. > :21:34.a few details about the holiday and the flight.

:21:35. > :21:37.When I first asked the question about the Dreamliner, she hesitated.

:21:38. > :21:40.And that was my first clue that something might be wrong.

:21:41. > :21:42.She came back and apologised and said,

:21:43. > :21:44.well actually, it was never going to be a Dreamliner.

:21:45. > :21:47.She said, Sorry, we reserve the right to change the plane.

:21:48. > :21:52.You can of course cancel but you'll lose all your money.

:21:53. > :22:00.this was our dream holiday and suddenly it was shattered.

:22:01. > :22:07.Unfortunately, Garth and Sandra aren't the only Thomson customers

:22:08. > :22:12.who've had Dreamliner nightmares.

:22:13. > :22:14.Jason Edwards from Aberdare paid extra to fly from Manchester

:22:15. > :22:16.airport, just so his family could have the Dreamliner experience

:22:17. > :22:20.But the aircraft wasn't available on the way out

:22:21. > :22:28.And spare a thought for Rebekah Ings from Narberth in Pembrokeshire.

:22:29. > :22:31.Her dad had paid for the whole family to fly off to Florida,

:22:32. > :22:33.on a holiday that cost more than ?12,000.

:22:34. > :22:36.But when they all arrived at Gatwick, guess what?

:22:37. > :22:44.In Cardiff, Vicky Ward only booked her cruise around

:22:45. > :22:46.the Persian Gulf with Thomson because the Dreamliner came as part

:22:47. > :23:01.My partner and I recently got engaged so it was going to be

:23:02. > :23:03.a lovely holiday, the two of us, first time abroad together.

:23:04. > :23:13.I was very disappointed. there and back on a 767.

:23:14. > :23:16.It was just not what we thought it was going to be.

:23:17. > :23:20.At one point I almost burst into tears.

:23:21. > :23:23.It's the same story, over and over again.

:23:24. > :23:25.Thomson brochures - and staff - seem to promise

:23:26. > :23:33.But tucked away in the small print,

:23:34. > :23:35.there's a get-out clause, which says...

:23:36. > :23:37."Occasionally it may be necessary to change the aircraft type".

:23:38. > :23:50.And the customers we've spoken to insist that wasn't made clear.

:23:51. > :23:52.Our holiday wasn't what it was supposed to be.

:23:53. > :23:55.That it was going to start and finish with something

:23:56. > :24:00.It left a nasty taste in our mouth.

:24:01. > :24:04.And for me personally I'd always wanted to go on such a plane.

:24:05. > :24:09.And I feel betrayed by Thomson for that reason.

:24:10. > :24:15.they're sorry for any about this and they say

:24:16. > :24:16."misunderstanding and disappointment".

:24:17. > :24:19.They insist they sometimes have to change their "flying schedule",

:24:20. > :24:24.And they say their terms and conditions state

:24:25. > :24:31.that the availability of certain aircraft is never 100% guaranteed.

:24:32. > :24:34.So I'm afraid they won't be paying out.

:24:35. > :24:37.Now if you're in the market for a new motor, you may

:24:38. > :24:42.want to check out its history before you buy.

:24:43. > :24:44.But one viewer from Aberdare wasn't too impressed

:24:45. > :24:51.with the "deal" on offer at his local garage.

:24:52. > :24:56.When Evan Macier spotted a Ford Focus he liked online,

:24:57. > :25:01.he headed to Evans Halshaw in Treforest to take a closer look.

:25:02. > :25:04.While I was waiting for the salesman to become available I was just

:25:05. > :25:08.having a look at some of the other cars and then that's when I noticed

:25:09. > :25:13.The notice on the windscreen advertised

:25:14. > :25:18.a "vehicle administration fee" on top of the price of the car.

:25:19. > :25:20.It said for ?99 they would tax the car, register the car,

:25:21. > :25:23.but also carry out checks for you to make sure

:25:24. > :25:25.there's no outstanding finance, the car wasn't stolen

:25:26. > :25:30.and it wasn't involved in an accident.

:25:31. > :25:33.But charging for these checks set alarm bells ringing for Evan -

:25:34. > :25:34.who was once Wales' youngest magistrate!

:25:35. > :25:43.I asked him, were any of the cars stolen - he said no.

:25:44. > :25:45.I said have of these cars had outstanding finance -

:25:46. > :25:50.I said so what's the ?99 fee for, and he goes, it's like an insurance.

:25:51. > :25:53.That seemed a bit strange to me because surely

:25:54. > :26:00.if you've done your checks correctly, that shouldn't happen.

:26:01. > :26:03.the admin fee was "optional" - eye" noticed

:26:04. > :26:05.but he says the salesman didn't agree!

:26:06. > :26:07.He told me it was a compulsory thing.

:26:08. > :26:10.So for them to charge this fee which for me was unjustified,

:26:11. > :26:14.So Evan, I take it you didn't buy the car?

:26:15. > :26:20.Well, we asked Evans Halshaw about this.

:26:21. > :26:25.They insist their ?99 vehicle administration fee is optional.

:26:26. > :26:28.They're investigating why our viewer Evan was told that it's compulsory

:26:29. > :26:32.and say they'll carry out extra staff training if it's needed.

:26:33. > :26:33.Well, motoring expert Tim Shallcross is with me.

:26:34. > :26:40.but in my view it's definitely sharp practice.

:26:41. > :26:44.The price on the windscreen should be the price you pay.

:26:45. > :26:49.They're trying to charge you over some flimsy excuse over things

:26:50. > :26:51.they would do for their own peace of mind like checking

:26:52. > :26:54.no outstanding finance or checking the car hasn't been stolen.

:26:55. > :26:56.They do that before they put it on the forecourt.

:26:57. > :26:59.Registering the sale with the DVLA, that means putting a form

:27:00. > :27:01.in an envelope and putting it in a letterbox.

:27:02. > :27:04.They've got to do it by law, they're trying to charge you for it.

:27:05. > :27:08.It takes ten seconds and you can do it online.

:27:09. > :27:10.Yes, these are all checks we can do ourselves.

:27:11. > :27:13.Yeah, you can check the entire MOT history of the car from a government

:27:14. > :27:18.And if you do want to do a vehicle history check, which is important,

:27:19. > :27:20.you can get those checks between ?10 and ?30.

:27:21. > :27:25.And thanks to technology, a lot of these checks you can do

:27:26. > :27:29.on your mobile phone yourself on the garage forecourt.

:27:30. > :27:31.Absolutely. There are apps all over the place.

:27:32. > :27:32.Standing on the forecourt, enter the registration

:27:33. > :27:34.number and it'll tell you the complete history.

:27:35. > :27:37.You pay a small charge for that, but it's well worth it

:27:38. > :27:42.Brilliant, Tim, thank you so much.

:27:43. > :27:45.And that's it for this week - but if you need our help

:27:46. > :27:47.with anything at all, get in touch!

:27:48. > :27:55.why did Clifford send thousands of pounds worth of music vouchers

:27:56. > :28:01.They're very clever - you do feel as though you've been

:28:02. > :28:03.hypnotised by them and you're completely

:28:04. > :28:13.We'll see you at the same time next Monday.
