:00:06. > :00:10.Tonight, a special edition of Crimewatch where we ask you to name

:00:10. > :00:20.the rioters and looters who caused havoc across England. This is your

:00:20. > :00:38.

:00:38. > :00:41.chance to help ensure justice is Hello and welcome to Crimewatch. We

:00:41. > :00:46.have lots of important CCTV footage to show you tonight in the hope you

:00:46. > :00:50.will be able to name as many of the suspected rioters as possible. We

:00:50. > :00:54.begin in Tottenham where the trouble started 12 days ago. The

:00:54. > :00:57.clean-up and re-building is in full swing as is the police

:00:57. > :01:01.investigation into who is responsible for the violence. I

:01:01. > :01:05.will be giving out the incident room numbers throughout the

:01:05. > :01:14.programme. First, a quick reminder of why the police so urgently need

:01:14. > :01:20.your help. Last week, parts of England experienced some of the

:01:20. > :01:24.worst scenes of public disorder in living memory. We witnessed on live

:01:24. > :01:29.television shops being trashed, people's homes being burnt to the

:01:29. > :01:37.ground and their livelihoods destroyed. Because of the riots, we

:01:37. > :01:41.have lost everything in our home. It all started on Saturday 6th

:01:41. > :01:45.August. Protesters who had gathered after the police shooting of

:01:45. > :01:51.Tottenham man Mark Duggan soon found themselves joined by rioters

:01:51. > :01:59.hell-bent on trouble. And then the looting began. Let's get some

:01:59. > :02:03.watches, man. Over three days, a wave of copycat criminality spread

:02:03. > :02:12.across London. And once peaceful streets started to resemble war

:02:12. > :02:18.zones. And by Tuesday, the looting and violence had spread across

:02:18. > :02:23.England. I have this very clear message to those people who are

:02:24. > :02:31.responsible for this wrongdoing and criminality. You will feel the full

:02:31. > :02:34.force of the law. With 16,000 officers on the beat, all police

:02:34. > :02:41.leave cancelled and the introduction of special armoured

:02:41. > :02:46.vehicles, the fightback had begun. But then tragedy struck in

:02:46. > :02:50.Birmingham. The Prime Minister has joined police and community leaders

:02:50. > :02:59.in Birmingham to call for calm there after the deaths of three men

:02:59. > :03:03.who were run over and killed during last night's violence. Haroon Jahan

:03:03. > :03:07.and brothers Shazad Ali and Abdul Musavir were run over while trying

:03:07. > :03:13.to protect local businesses. are we doing this? I lost my son.

:03:13. > :03:19.Step forward if you want to lose your sons. Otherwise calm down and

:03:19. > :03:23.go home. The human cost has continued to rise. 26-year-old

:03:23. > :03:28.father of four Trevor Ellis was shot dead in Croydon at the

:03:28. > :03:32.beginning of last week. Three days later, Richard Mannington Bowes

:03:32. > :03:37.died from injuries he sustained during the riots in Ealing, West

:03:37. > :03:41.London. Back where it all started in Tottenham, people whose homes

:03:41. > :03:46.were destroyed by fire are only just starting to come to terms with

:03:46. > :03:51.the devastation caused. I have nothing left, actually. We have

:03:52. > :03:58.only the keys. That doesn't open any door any more. When I come back

:03:58. > :04:04.to see this, all my stuff, all our memories, everything is gone. It is

:04:05. > :04:12.ashes now. You feel so, so upset. We will be giving out information

:04:12. > :04:17.on Victim Support later in the programme. There have already been

:04:17. > :04:21.over 2,500 arrests and courts have been working around-the-clock. Yet,

:04:21. > :04:31.despite all the progress over the last week or so, the task of

:04:31. > :04:34.

:04:34. > :04:38.bringing all those responsible to You have seen again the shocking

:04:38. > :04:42.events of last week. Now it is time to help by naming those suspected

:04:42. > :04:52.of being involved. First, let's look at some of the CCTV from

:04:52. > :04:56.

:04:56. > :05:01.London. 12.30am on Sunday 7th August, a Quicksilver Games Arcade

:05:01. > :05:05.on High Road Wood Green. They head to the rear of the arcade where

:05:05. > :05:08.they rifle through staff handbags and the back offices. Two people

:05:08. > :05:18.have already been arrested but police want information on their

:05:18. > :05:19.

:05:19. > :05:23.mates. 00.38, a group of troublemakers

:05:23. > :05:28.gather around a police van parked on the junction of Lansdowne Road

:05:28. > :05:32.and Tottenham High Road. After trying to tip it over, they take

:05:32. > :05:37.another approach - deciding to set it alight, using some flammable

:05:37. > :05:40.liquid and they won't stop until the van is destroyed. Dragging a

:05:40. > :05:44.wheelie bin under the van and setting light to it, they don't

:05:44. > :05:52.give a second thought to the risks. They are endangering their own

:05:52. > :05:56.lives and those of others as the van explodes in a fireball. There

:05:57. > :06:03.is still time to take a souvenir photo. What they don't know is the

:06:04. > :06:09.police have got them on camera, too. Now, can you put a name to any of

:06:09. > :06:13.these faces? Wandsworth in London was hit hard by rioters on August

:06:13. > :06:18.8th and police are keen to track down these four. If you recognise

:06:18. > :06:23.any, take a note of each picture's unique reference number. In the

:06:23. > :06:29.early hours of Sunday 7th August, a cyclist on High Road Wood Green in

:06:29. > :06:32.Haringey is robbed of his bike, taking advantage of the police's

:06:32. > :06:37.stretched resources. He tries to resist but is pushed to the ground

:06:38. > :06:43.and they make off with his bike. Do you know who they are? Were you the

:06:43. > :06:46.cyclist? Get in touch. A few minutes later, this hooded

:06:46. > :06:54.individual has taken an interest in a car parked on the same road in

:06:54. > :06:58.Haringey. He's got what looks like a petrol bomb. He and his

:06:58. > :07:01.associates seem to add fuel to the fire and build a makeshift

:07:01. > :07:06.roadblock. Within half an hour, the car is well alight. The police are

:07:06. > :07:16.keen to track down the suspected arsonist and his accomplices. Do

:07:16. > :07:17.

:07:17. > :07:22.you know who they are? While emergency services tackle blazes

:07:22. > :07:26.across the city, this firebug is doing his best to add to the mayhem.

:07:26. > :07:29.Right opposite the Carpet Right building which was destroyed during

:07:29. > :07:33.the riots, he brazenly tries to set light to the blinds through a

:07:33. > :07:38.smashed window in this council building. The police are very keen

:07:38. > :07:43.to talk to him. Can you help track him down? More faces now. This time

:07:43. > :07:47.from Peckham which was the scene of much disorder on August 7th. These

:07:47. > :07:52.people are wanted in connection with the rioting there. Again, make

:07:52. > :07:56.sure you note the reference numbers. Police were called to stop looters

:07:56. > :08:00.stealing from the Aristocrat Menswear shop on the corner of

:08:01. > :08:04.Chingford Mount Road just after 1.00am on Monday 8th. Suspects run

:08:04. > :08:08.out of the shop and into Royston Avenue. The police are in pursuit

:08:08. > :08:12.but are hit by a green Citroen driving in the opposite direction,

:08:12. > :08:16.flooring two officers. One is left lying in the road, another

:08:16. > :08:20.collapses behind a pillar. Both were treated in hospital for their

:08:20. > :08:27.injuries. Police have arrested two men on suspicion of attempted

:08:27. > :08:37.murder. Do you know anyone who was involved? Have you seen the Citroen,

:08:37. > :08:40.registration Y132 GHJ? Do you know who was in it at the time? 6.40pm,

:08:40. > :08:44.Clarence Road, Hackney. A line of police are battling to bring order

:08:45. > :08:51.to the streets. Several rioters throw missiles at the police,

:08:51. > :08:57.including this charming young lady. One group decides to break into a

:08:57. > :09:04.taxi. Before pushing it across the road. Then a crowd heads over to

:09:04. > :09:14.Western Union to run amok there. Have a good look at the crowd. See

:09:14. > :09:25.

:09:25. > :09:28.10.20pm on Monday 8th and Clapham Junction's Carphone Warehouse is in

:09:28. > :09:33.the looters' sights. A member of the public tries to dissuade anyone

:09:33. > :09:37.from entering the building. They aren't put off, attacking him with

:09:37. > :09:40.a fire extinguisher. They destroy the window with him out of the way

:09:40. > :09:46.and get through the metal shutter flooding in to collect their loot.

:09:46. > :09:51.No arrests have been made yet. But can you put a name to the faces?

:09:51. > :09:58.Links to all those images are on our website - bbc.co.uk/crimewatch.

:09:58. > :10:04.Contact details for all the forces featured are available by calling

:10:04. > :10:09.us on 08000 468 999. The Met's Major Investigation Team are on

:10:09. > :10:14.0208 345 4142. Or you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800

:10:14. > :10:22.555 111. Or text Crimewatch directly on 63399. Type "CRIME"

:10:23. > :10:27.space and your message. Now, to find out more, I spoke to the Met's

:10:27. > :10:30.Deputy Assistant Commissioner Steve Kavanagh. How significant were

:10:30. > :10:36.these disturbances? They were like something we have never seen on

:10:36. > :10:41.mainland UK before. The speed and the ferociousness of that violence

:10:41. > :10:47.shocked hardened officers. On the Sunday night, we mobilised based on

:10:47. > :10:52.disorder in one borough 3,000 officers. By the Monday, within 48

:10:52. > :10:56.hours, 6,000 officers, the whole of West Yorkshire Police, but we do

:10:56. > :11:00.know those officers were stretched in a way London has never seen

:11:00. > :11:04.before. I would like to say morale is fantastic at the moment. They

:11:04. > :11:08.are sleeping on floors, in offices, in gyms. They are at the end of

:11:08. > :11:12.their tether for the hours they have been asked to do to keep

:11:12. > :11:15.London safe. I'm not hearing a moan. What is the next part of the police

:11:16. > :11:20.operation? We need to build on that sense of community that we have

:11:20. > :11:28.across the UK. There will be images coming out of different forces,

:11:28. > :11:34.coming out of London. Keep going back to our Flikr site. Give us a

:11:34. > :11:38.call. They need to let us know. It is with their support we will make

:11:38. > :11:43.a real difference and continue to fill the courts with the people who

:11:43. > :11:49.shattered our communities on those nights. At this Command Centre, the

:11:49. > :11:53.hunt to identify rioters is on. 125 dedicated officers are scouring

:11:53. > :12:02.through more than 20,000 hours of footage, picking out images of

:12:02. > :12:06.people they hope you will be able to name. We work on a four eyes

:12:06. > :12:10.principle - each piece of footage has to be seen by two detectives.

:12:10. > :12:14.They will grab images, the best still images they can, but we will

:12:14. > :12:18.trawl through imagery that is before the event and after the

:12:18. > :12:22.event at places like transport hubs and places like that where the

:12:22. > :12:27.criminals won't expect us to be looking. Then those are the still

:12:27. > :12:30.images that we will pump out to the press and ask the public to help us

:12:30. > :12:35.identify those individuals. Where it is crucial from our point of

:12:35. > :12:39.view, the public need to look at the images and they need to ring us

:12:39. > :12:45.up and say anonymously if they have to, "I know that individual, he

:12:45. > :12:47.lives next door." We will deal with it. We will put that person before

:12:47. > :12:52.the court. These images are available on the Metropolitan

:12:52. > :12:56.Police website for anyone to look at? Absolutely. We are uploading

:12:56. > :13:00.that website every day. Lots of arrests have been made. You are not

:13:00. > :13:03.stopping, you want to go after these people? Absolutely. My team

:13:03. > :13:06.work 24 hours a day on 12-hour shifts. We are getting through this

:13:06. > :13:12.material and more and more is coming in. We will hunt down every

:13:12. > :13:18.one of these people. Of course, the huge task of sifting through all

:13:18. > :13:28.that CCTV is not just happening in London. It is going on right now in

:13:28. > :13:29.

:13:29. > :13:31.incident rooms across England. I'm in Wolverhampton where nine days

:13:31. > :13:35.ago violence and vandalism erupted causing widespread damage to shops

:13:36. > :13:40.in the area. I'm joined by two local businessmen who were affected

:13:40. > :13:44.by what happened. We have Jason Ody who runs this clothes shop. What

:13:44. > :13:48.happened? It was 5.30pm Tuesday afternoon, the shop got attacked.

:13:48. > :13:51.The staff were in the store. They had to run out of the back of the

:13:51. > :13:58.store. Your shop was full of clothes, quite high-value clothes.

:13:58. > :14:03.It's empty now? Yeah. There were just scraps left. It was

:14:03. > :14:09.devastating. They were like locusts. John, you own a jewellers up the

:14:09. > :14:11.road. It's been around quite some time? 163 years, so six generations.

:14:11. > :14:19.They didn't manage to get into your store because of the security

:14:19. > :14:23.measures that were in place. They did cause a lot of damage? We have

:14:23. > :14:29.11.5ml glass which will take a 20- minute assault before you penetrate

:14:29. > :14:32.it. They must have been at it for a good 20 minutes. Someone who saw

:14:32. > :14:36.first-hand what happened is PC Graham Lees. You were on duty the

:14:36. > :14:40.day this happened. Tell us your side? We showed an initial presence

:14:40. > :14:44.and before long, a firework came over the crowd. That exploded. One

:14:44. > :14:49.of my colleagues went down. Fortunately, he is OK. That was it.

:14:49. > :14:52.Windows started going in. Large scale disorder. We were soon in our

:14:52. > :14:57.public order kit running up-and- down the street with shields.

:14:57. > :15:01.you got kitted up, that was not the end of it? We were bottled, we had

:15:01. > :15:04.bricks thrown at us. I copped half a brick on the inside of my arm

:15:04. > :15:08.causing some bruising. It could have been worse. Have you seen

:15:08. > :15:12.anything like this before? really. I have dealt with football

:15:12. > :15:15.disorder in the past. This was another level. Thank you.

:15:16. > :15:22.Thankfully, West Midlands Police have a huge array of CCTV. It is

:15:22. > :15:27.your chance to help by naming them. Police in Birmingham are very keen

:15:27. > :15:32.to speak to anyone who was in the city centre during the troubles

:15:32. > :15:37.there. From 6.30pm on Monday 8th, crowds gathered in shopping areas

:15:37. > :15:46.around the city. Some were determined to cause mayhem and get

:15:46. > :15:49.hold of anything they could carry. The Bullring was a particular

:15:50. > :15:53.target during much of the Birmingham rioting on August 8th.

:15:53. > :15:57.These faces were captured on camera after they entered the shopping

:15:57. > :16:03.centre illegally. Now it is time for them to be shopped. Make a note

:16:03. > :16:09.of each picture's unique reference number and get in touch. By the

:16:09. > :16:14.early hours of the 9th August, the trouble had reached Bristol. Just

:16:14. > :16:19.after 2.20am a group of a dozen people, one on a bike, gather at

:16:19. > :16:23.Cabot Circus shopping centre. They have come from Bond Street and St

:16:23. > :16:28.Mathias Park to the south-east of the centre and congregated at

:16:28. > :16:31.Hollister Street. They have got their eyes on the Thomas Sabo

:16:31. > :16:34.jewellery store on Brigstowe Street. The police have caught up with

:16:34. > :16:39.three members of the group so we have obscured their identities but

:16:39. > :16:44.can you help bring the rest of them to justice? A male armed with a

:16:44. > :16:49.hammer has come prepared. As he rushes to the store, the group

:16:49. > :16:52.follow suit. The window is smashed and they grab what they can. The

:16:52. > :16:58.shop sells sterling silver jewellery and specialises in charms.

:16:58. > :17:01.Do you know anyone who is wearing or offering to sell this stuff?

:17:01. > :17:06.Police in Bristol are also trying to track down these people after

:17:06. > :17:11.disorder broke out on Monday 8th August in the city centre. See any

:17:11. > :17:18.familiar faces? If so, call tonight quoting the unique reference. The

:17:18. > :17:25.same night there was trouble in the St Pauls area of Bristol, outside

:17:25. > :17:30.the Inkerman Pub. Several people gathered intent on causing trouble.

:17:30. > :17:34.Spot the male in the light coloured cap, a light coloured zip-up jacket

:17:34. > :17:38.with writing on the front, light blue jeans and white trainers? He

:17:38. > :17:44.covers his face with a black scarf and pushes a trailer into the

:17:44. > :17:48.police line. How about this one? Wearing a light zip-up jacket and

:17:48. > :17:52.dark trousers, he stands out from the crowd. He is keen to get the

:17:52. > :17:57.attention of the police line, throwing missiles at them. Avon &

:17:57. > :18:01.Somerset Constabulary would like to talk to him. Do you know who he is?

:18:01. > :18:06.Here is another to look out for, the man with the red bandana pulled

:18:06. > :18:09.up over his face and wearing a black and red cap. He's got black

:18:09. > :18:15.material around his wrists and he is quick to join in throwing

:18:15. > :18:23.missiles at the police. If you recognise anyone from the Bristol

:18:23. > :18:28.disturbances, call Avon & Somerset Constabulary on 0845 456 7000. Back

:18:28. > :18:32.in Birmingham city centre on 8th August, in Temple Row and Upper

:18:32. > :18:35.Bull Street property was destroyed and stock was stolen as the

:18:35. > :18:39.criminals made their way from business to business. They moved on

:18:39. > :18:43.through High Street and around the Mailbox targeting high-end designer

:18:43. > :18:47.shops. The Amani shop is raided causing huge amounts of damage as

:18:47. > :18:50.thousands of pounds worth of goods are stolen. Have you been offered

:18:50. > :18:55.some cheap designer clothing recently? Or do you know anyone who

:18:55. > :19:00.went on this looting spree? West Midlands Police would love to hear

:19:00. > :19:04.from you. The trouble in Birmingham went on late into the night and as

:19:04. > :19:08.well as potential looters, police say vital witnesses could have been

:19:08. > :19:13.caught on camera. So if you see someone you know or if you

:19:13. > :19:22.recognise yourself, you may be able to provide crucial evidence. Please,

:19:22. > :19:27.do the right thing and get in touch tonight.

:19:27. > :19:33.Links to all those images are on bbc.co.uk/crimewatch. Contact

:19:33. > :19:39.details for all the forces featured are also available by calling us on

:19:39. > :19:49.08000 468 999. The West Midlands Police incident room is on 0345 113

:19:49. > :19:49.

:19:49. > :19:54.5000 or you can text Crimewatch on 63399, type "CRIME" and space. In

:19:54. > :19:58.the Bullring, the rioters struck ten days ago. It seems this place

:19:58. > :20:03.is back to normal. What is unusual is this large van behind me with

:20:03. > :20:05.its massive screen on top, displaying images. To tell us more

:20:05. > :20:10.is Detective Chief Inspector Steve Reed from West Midlands Police.

:20:10. > :20:13.Good afternoon. Tell me more about this big van that we can see?

:20:13. > :20:19.digital image van enables us to get photographs of suspects into the

:20:19. > :20:24.public domain as quickly as we can. Busy areas like here have been used

:20:24. > :20:27.to get these images so members of the public can call us with the

:20:27. > :20:31.identification of suspects. You are using it in the busiest areas

:20:31. > :20:35.possible where the most sets of eyes will hopefully recognise these

:20:35. > :20:43.people? Absolutely. We have had a tremendous response from the

:20:43. > :20:47.community, including Birmingham City and West Bromwich football

:20:47. > :20:53.clubs. Have you used this tactic before? No, this is the first time

:20:53. > :21:00.we have used it as a direct investigation tool. You want to get

:21:00. > :21:05.that message out? Absolutely. They can view the images through West

:21:05. > :21:14.Midlands Police website. Brilliant. Thank you for joining us. Good luck.

:21:14. > :21:18.Let's hope some of those people get caught. Thank you. In Manchester

:21:18. > :21:23.and Salford, the violence seemed to overwhelm police on Tuesday of last

:21:23. > :21:28.week. Running battles were fought in several areas, with rioters

:21:28. > :21:32.attacking shops, police officers and setting light to vehicles. This

:21:32. > :21:36.is Manchester police's training centre where officers learn how to

:21:36. > :21:40.control riot situations and someone who was there at the time on the

:21:40. > :21:43.frontline is Sergeant Simpson. Hi. You were there at the time. How

:21:43. > :21:47.does a training environment compare to the real thing that you saw last

:21:47. > :21:51.Tuesday? The training that we do here, we try to make it as

:21:51. > :21:57.realistic as we can. The numbers we faced in Salford and the missiles

:21:57. > :22:01.that were used against the officers were massive. Tell us about the

:22:02. > :22:08.incident where you were called to protect firefighters that were

:22:08. > :22:13.called to put out a blaze? The Fire Service, they were trying to put

:22:13. > :22:18.out a fire at Lidl. As we turned into the street, the amount of

:22:18. > :22:24.missiles that were being thrown was unbelievable. That attack at Lidl

:22:25. > :22:29.was by far worse than anything I have ever been deployed to. They

:22:29. > :22:33.wanted to hurt us. I felt someone was going to get killed. Thank you

:22:33. > :22:39.for joining us. We saw earlier how detectives have been using CCTV to

:22:39. > :22:42.identify suspected offenders. As a result, dozens of raids have been

:22:42. > :22:45.carried out in several English cities including here in Manchester.

:22:45. > :22:48.Earlier this week, I spent a morning with one of the Met's

:22:49. > :22:52.arrest teams in London. They were on their sixth day in a row of

:22:52. > :22:57.early morning raids, following up on crucial intelligence they had

:22:57. > :23:02.received about suspected looters. Welcome to the sixth day of

:23:02. > :23:06.warrants being executed on this borough since the outbreak of

:23:06. > :23:13.violence on Sunday and Monday. What I want you to do this morning is to

:23:13. > :23:16.bear a couple of things in mind. The first thing is that we will

:23:16. > :23:20.remorselessly follow every piece of information and intelligence that

:23:20. > :23:23.we develop. Many of you would have been out on Friday, Saturday,

:23:23. > :23:27.Sunday, Monday night. Many of you would have seen that level of

:23:27. > :23:31.disorder. Many of you would have faced it. Most importantly, you

:23:31. > :23:35.would have seen the fear on the faces of the public who were coming

:23:35. > :23:42.up against this. I want you to bear in mind the fear that was caused by

:23:42. > :23:45.those people when you go through these doors this morning. Police!

:23:45. > :23:54.It is the early hours of the morning, we are in Westminster and

:23:54. > :23:59.the police are about to round up some suspected looters. They have

:23:59. > :24:06.arrested two suspects in the flat where they have found over 30,000

:24:06. > :24:16.worth of suspected stolen merchandise. And even a London hire

:24:16. > :24:21.

:24:21. > :24:28.bike. And it has only just gone 8.00am. As you can see, as a direct

:24:28. > :24:31.result of information to the police, officers are making arrests just

:24:32. > :24:35.like this. A warrant has been executed in one of the flats behind

:24:35. > :24:41.me. Was it a success? We have recovered stolen property. We have

:24:41. > :24:46.made two arrests. Not just the person out looting, there were

:24:46. > :24:50.other members that had been receiving stolen goods and they are

:24:50. > :24:53.in my cells. This snot the end of it for you? This is the beginning.

:24:53. > :24:57.I want everyone to know, if you have got stolen property in your

:24:57. > :25:00.flats and houses, if you were committing crime the other night,

:25:00. > :25:03.the Metropolitan Police will be knocking on your door very soon. We

:25:03. > :25:08.are going to pursue all of those that were committing crime and

:25:08. > :25:13.follow up every bit of information that is given to us by the public.

:25:13. > :25:18.We have moved to Manchester city centre where many shops were

:25:18. > :25:24.attacked and looted. Ian Kinsella is owner of Bang & Olufsen and you

:25:24. > :25:30.were cleared out? It was a total disaster. The mob, or the riot

:25:30. > :25:33.crowd trashed the shop. What wasn't taken was destroyed. It's been a

:25:33. > :25:38.complete nightmare. You know the police have made a few arrests and

:25:38. > :25:42.hopefully more will continue. Absolutely. We have - they took

:25:42. > :25:47.some fantastic DNA as well as the CCTV. There was blood on some of

:25:47. > :25:50.the TVs as the looters injured themselves getting into the store.

:25:50. > :25:56.There will be some arrests. I have no doubt some prison sentences

:25:56. > :26:04.which is great. Thank you. Now, it is your time to help by having a

:26:04. > :26:08.look at our last batch of wanted faces and CCTV. Tuesday 9th and the

:26:08. > :26:13.riots have reached Manchester. A crowd gathers at the Arndale Centre

:26:13. > :26:18.ready for trouble. They target the Foot Asylum Store and use whatever

:26:18. > :26:22.they can to smash their way in, even a drain cover. After a couple

:26:22. > :26:28.of attempts, they are in and they swarm all over the shop taking what

:26:28. > :26:33.they fancy. Do you know who they are? Could you shop a looter? Over

:26:33. > :26:40.in Salford, a crowd gathers outside Cash Converter in the shopping city

:26:40. > :26:44.precinct after 8.00pm on 9th August. They use a bin to hold open the

:26:44. > :26:51.metal shutter and gain entry where they help themselves. Some make off

:26:51. > :26:55.with flatscreen TVs, others take game consoles and some musical

:26:55. > :26:59.instruments. Has anyone offered you one of these? The police are keen

:26:59. > :27:08.to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and can provide

:27:08. > :27:13.Officers in Manchester are also looking for these faces. They were

:27:13. > :27:18.captured trespassing in the Tesco Express on princess street on

:27:18. > :27:22.August 9th before 8.00pm. If you recognise them, call the police

:27:22. > :27:26.recognise them, call the police tonight. Over in Merseyside, these

:27:26. > :27:30.four are wanted in connection with the disorder in the south of

:27:30. > :27:35.Liverpool on August 8th and 9th. Know them? Take down their

:27:35. > :27:41.reference numbers and get in touch. Back in Manchester, on Thomas

:27:41. > :27:45.Street, the 9th August. A group of mostly young men gathers outside

:27:45. > :27:49.two jewellers. They work as a team to gain entry to Cathedral

:27:49. > :27:53.Jewellers and Alfred Mutter Limited. They attempt to conceal their

:27:53. > :27:57.identities but those clothes are distinctive. They ransack the place

:27:57. > :28:01.trying to access the glass cabinets looking to steal whatever they can.

:28:01. > :28:10.They are focused on getting the loot and getting out. Don't let

:28:10. > :28:15.That is about all we have time for. If you recognise any of the

:28:15. > :28:22.suspects from this area, please contact Greater Manchester Police

:28:22. > :28:26.on 0161 856 2031. All the other phone numbers are coming up and you

:28:26. > :28:31.can find links at bbc.co.uk/crimewatch. If you have
