0:00:12 > 0:00:14THEY ROAR
0:00:18 > 0:00:19'Hi, my name is Ben.
0:00:19 > 0:00:22I'm ten years old and I live in Derby with my family.
0:00:22 > 0:00:26'Most of the people in my family are deaf, but I can hear.
0:00:26 > 0:00:28'My world is full of noise and sounds.'
0:00:28 > 0:00:31The good thing about growing up in a deaf family is you can
0:00:31 > 0:00:35make as much noise as you want and you just have fun.
0:00:35 > 0:00:40'I love to sing and dance, I want to be a signing performer.
0:00:40 > 0:00:41'I live in two very different worlds,
0:00:41 > 0:00:45'which means at times I don't know quite where I fit in.'
0:00:45 > 0:00:48I'm a bit confused, I'm not sure who I am,
0:00:48 > 0:00:51am I hearing or am I deaf, I'm not sure.
0:00:51 > 0:00:53'My crew are going to be following me,
0:00:53 > 0:00:55'as I take on my biggest challenge yet!'
0:00:58 > 0:01:01I'll be bringing my two worlds together for the very first time.
0:01:06 > 0:01:08Tell us, why are you making this film, Ben?
0:01:08 > 0:01:11I'm making this film because I want to bring the two worlds,
0:01:11 > 0:01:14closer together and it'll get me one step further to
0:01:14 > 0:01:18achieving my goal, which is becoming a signing entertainer.
0:01:18 > 0:01:20This is the crew and the good thing about them,
0:01:20 > 0:01:23is they're all CODAs, we share experiences,
0:01:23 > 0:01:26we help each other and we just have a laugh, say hi, crew.
0:01:27 > 0:01:28- Hi.- Hiya.
0:01:30 > 0:01:33THEY LAUGH
0:01:36 > 0:01:38So, yeah, I am a CODA.
0:01:38 > 0:01:42C-O-D-A - it stands for "children of deaf adults".
0:01:42 > 0:01:45It basically means that my mum and dad are deaf,
0:01:45 > 0:01:47however, in my family, it doesn't stop there.
0:01:53 > 0:01:57'This is Sara,
0:01:57 > 0:01:59'this is James and that's Ashley.
0:01:59 > 0:02:03'They're my older brothers and sisters. They're all deaf, too.
0:02:04 > 0:02:08'They're only two people in my family that can hear,
0:02:08 > 0:02:10'that's me and my little sister Amy.'
0:02:12 > 0:02:16Being deaf means that part of your ears don't function properly,
0:02:16 > 0:02:20but in my ears and Amy's ears can hear sound, in my parents'
0:02:20 > 0:02:23and siblings' ears, this doesn't happen.
0:02:23 > 0:02:26The hairs in their ear canal that transport sound waves
0:02:26 > 0:02:28are damaged so they don't hear things.
0:02:28 > 0:02:32I grew up in a deaf family, everyone was signing,
0:02:32 > 0:02:35no-one was speaking, we just signed
0:02:35 > 0:02:37and I thought the whole world signed,
0:02:37 > 0:02:41but when I went into nursery, I went into the hearing world,
0:02:41 > 0:02:45everyone was speaking, everyone was shouting, I was like,
0:02:45 > 0:02:47"What are they doing?"
0:02:48 > 0:02:52Then eventually I learnt to speak when I was four
0:02:52 > 0:02:56and then gradually I learnt more words
0:02:56 > 0:03:01and then here I am today I can speak quite well, actually.
0:03:01 > 0:03:05'Deafness runs in the family. My siblings and parents were born deaf.
0:03:05 > 0:03:08'The deafness our my family is passed from one generation to the next
0:03:08 > 0:03:11but that doesn't mean that my parents can't have hearing children,
0:03:11 > 0:03:14or that hearing parents can't have deaf children,
0:03:14 > 0:03:16it really is all chance,
0:03:16 > 0:03:20just like how my hearing grandparents gave birth to my deaf dad.
0:03:39 > 0:03:43'At home we use British Sign Language also known as BSL.
0:03:43 > 0:03:47'I think it's really cool and that everyone should learn it.'
0:03:48 > 0:03:50BSL is the way that deaf people communicate.
0:03:50 > 0:03:54Deaf people in Britain, they use two hands to fingerspell.
0:03:54 > 0:03:59It's similar to mime but they use more facial expressions like,
0:03:59 > 0:04:02"sad" and "happy".
0:04:03 > 0:04:06I'm going to teach you BSL. Are you ready?
0:04:09 > 0:04:10This is my sister...
0:04:18 > 0:04:19CODA...
0:04:23 > 0:04:24This is my dad...
0:04:28 > 0:04:30This is my mum...
0:04:35 > 0:04:38The good thing about growing up in a deaf family is you can
0:04:38 > 0:04:41make as much noise as you want,
0:04:41 > 0:04:47you can put your music as loud as you want, and you just have fun.
0:04:47 > 0:04:49# Everyday I'm shufflin'... #
0:04:49 > 0:04:52MUSIC: "Party Rock" by LMFAO
0:04:54 > 0:04:57'I love to turn my speakers up, and have a good dance in my room.
0:04:57 > 0:05:02'My parents can't hear anything so they never tell me to turn it down.
0:05:02 > 0:05:05'I think it's pretty cool and so does my best friend, Charlie,
0:05:05 > 0:05:09'when he comes over we can be as loud as we like.'
0:05:10 > 0:05:11Oh, hi, Charlie.
0:05:11 > 0:05:15- This is my best friend, Charlie. Say hi, Charlie.- Hey!
0:05:21 > 0:05:24Ben's probably the loudest person I know,
0:05:24 > 0:05:32you can't go anywhere without him talking or singing or something.
0:05:32 > 0:05:33You've got that right!
0:05:33 > 0:05:34ELECTRONIC GUNS ZAP
0:05:34 > 0:05:37'He's the one that most communicates with my parents'
0:05:37 > 0:05:39because he always comes to my house or I always go to his house.
0:05:45 > 0:05:48Something's you understand, don't you, some?
0:05:48 > 0:05:50Very little, very little.
0:05:52 > 0:05:54But I do teach you.
0:05:54 > 0:05:58You do try, but I'm not exactly the best pupil ever.
0:05:59 > 0:06:01Yeah, you could say that.
0:06:03 > 0:06:06Not all people are accepting of my deaf family,
0:06:06 > 0:06:09I have been picked on in the past.
0:06:10 > 0:06:14'Everyone knew my parents were deaf, and they all started bullying me,
0:06:14 > 0:06:19'I really just stood up to them and said, "Stop it".'
0:06:19 > 0:06:23"Why do you bully me because of my parents, because they're deaf?
0:06:23 > 0:06:24"No difference.
0:06:24 > 0:06:27"Yours are hearing, why don't I bully you because yours are hearing."
0:06:29 > 0:06:31It shouldn't make any difference -
0:06:31 > 0:06:35you should just be friends with him for who he is.
0:06:35 > 0:06:39You shouldn't not be friends with him because his parents are deaf.
0:06:39 > 0:06:41'I really value my friendship with Charlie,
0:06:41 > 0:06:43'as he is very understanding.'
0:06:45 > 0:06:49'But I also value my friendship with Jasper, he's my best deaf friend.'
0:07:10 > 0:07:12When I'm with deaf people I feel like I'm deaf,
0:07:12 > 0:07:15when I'm with hearing people, I feel like I'm hearing.
0:07:15 > 0:07:18Although Jasper and Charlie are both my best friends, we don't all play
0:07:18 > 0:07:22together, I know maybe I shouldn't, but I keep both my worlds separate.
0:07:24 > 0:07:27I hope that will all change when I show them this film.
0:07:31 > 0:07:36I'm really excited that Charlie and Jasper are going to meet because
0:07:36 > 0:07:39Charlie represents my hearing world
0:07:39 > 0:07:44and Jasper represents my deaf world, they both mean so much to me
0:07:44 > 0:07:45as they're my best friends.
0:07:47 > 0:07:51And I'm a bit nervous, well, I'm really, really nervous,
0:07:51 > 0:07:53because there will be communication issues.
0:07:59 > 0:08:02'When my friends who can't sign meet my deaf family and friends,
0:08:02 > 0:08:06'it can be really difficult for everyone to understand each other.'
0:08:08 > 0:08:12I would get really embarrassed, and I'll get like, "Mu-uum, don't."
0:08:12 > 0:08:14I'll tell my friends, "It's all right,
0:08:14 > 0:08:16"I'll talk to my parents for you, OK?"
0:08:16 > 0:08:19Because I got really embarrassed.
0:08:19 > 0:08:21I didn't want them to meet or to talk,
0:08:21 > 0:08:25but I'm getting better and by the end
0:08:25 > 0:08:29of the show, I think I would have achieved my goal of mixing them.
0:08:39 > 0:08:43'Sometimes I feel like I'm floating in space in between my two worlds.'
0:08:44 > 0:08:49I'm not on one world all the time, I'm on both worlds at the same time.
0:08:51 > 0:08:54Because I am CODA, I'm half hearing, half deaf.
0:08:56 > 0:08:59So I'm split into two, I'm being pulled by both sides.
0:08:59 > 0:09:01'My little sister Amy sometimes feels the same.'
0:09:09 > 0:09:14Do you feel a bit different, left out or Mum and Dad,
0:09:14 > 0:09:15they know lots of deaf people?
0:09:15 > 0:09:19Sometimes I wish I was deaf, so I could just be like a part of it
0:09:19 > 0:09:24and know what they're saying, I just feel like on the edge of...
0:09:25 > 0:09:28- Hearing or deaf?- I'm just like on the edge or the middle or something.
0:09:28 > 0:09:30I'm just like really confused...
0:09:33 > 0:09:35of what hearing and deaf people are saying.
0:09:35 > 0:09:37I'm just like squished up in the middle.
0:09:37 > 0:09:43I find it a bit hard because we are like
0:09:43 > 0:09:45two hearing people in a big deaf family.
0:09:45 > 0:09:48Ashley, James, Sara, Mum and Dad -
0:09:48 > 0:09:51they're always talking and we don't know what they're talking about.
0:09:51 > 0:09:54I do feel left out sometimes, I always ask, though.
0:10:02 > 0:10:06No-one really understands me other than other people in my position,
0:10:06 > 0:10:10it's a bit of a struggle because I have to be the ears
0:10:10 > 0:10:14for the deaf people, and then I have to interpret for the hearing people.
0:10:20 > 0:10:22- 'Hello.' - Hello, Grandad.
0:10:22 > 0:10:24'Interpreting means that I translate what
0:10:24 > 0:10:27'I hear into sign language for my family,
0:10:27 > 0:10:31'and when my deaf family sign, I tell people what the signs mean.'
0:10:33 > 0:10:38But would it be all right if we talk to you this week in the evening?
0:10:38 > 0:10:41- 'That's great, that.'- Bye.
0:10:41 > 0:10:43'Thanks, Ben, bye.'
0:10:48 > 0:10:51When it's night-time, it's even more important for me
0:10:51 > 0:10:53to be the ears of my family.
0:10:55 > 0:10:59I keep hearing this banging sound, I'm going to go wake up Dad.
0:11:01 > 0:11:07'If anyone breaks in or if an alarm goes off, I've got to wake up,
0:11:07 > 0:11:09'I've got to do something about it.'
0:11:21 > 0:11:24Sometimes at night I feel a bit uneasy.
0:11:24 > 0:11:25Because I've got to stay awake
0:11:25 > 0:11:27because I don't want anything bad to happen.
0:11:27 > 0:11:29I hope everything's going to be OK.
0:11:31 > 0:11:33Good night, I'm going to go to sleep now.
0:11:40 > 0:11:43Sometimes I do feel a bit like I need to be more carefree
0:11:43 > 0:11:48but it's not their fault, is it, not my mum and dad's fault that
0:11:48 > 0:11:52they're deaf, so and it's not my fault that I'm hearing.
0:11:54 > 0:11:57It helps me to be with other people in the same situation.
0:11:57 > 0:11:59I go to a CODA group once a month.
0:12:01 > 0:12:04Today, we are going bowling and I'm going to win!
0:12:09 > 0:12:13It's just a chance for everyone to get to know each other
0:12:13 > 0:12:17and maybe get new friends,
0:12:17 > 0:12:20and it's good for our parents
0:12:20 > 0:12:22so they get rid of us for a while!
0:12:31 > 0:12:36It's just fantastic to be in one group where you don't feel left out.
0:12:36 > 0:12:39People that aren't CODAs, they don't really understand what
0:12:39 > 0:12:41it's like to have deaf parents.
0:12:41 > 0:12:44I think a lot of the children have said that it's nice to come
0:12:44 > 0:12:48to a place where they don't have to explain who they are,
0:12:48 > 0:12:53everybody knows and they can just be themselves.
0:12:57 > 0:13:00It just makes me feel happy, we can talk about it
0:13:00 > 0:13:04and we understand each other really, it's brilliant.
0:13:04 > 0:13:08CODA group is a really good way for me to chill out and relax.
0:13:08 > 0:13:09And so is music!
0:13:09 > 0:13:11- # Get down with the trumpets - Yeah, yeah
0:13:11 > 0:13:13- # Let's get down with the trumpets - Yeah, yeah
0:13:13 > 0:13:16- # Let's get down with the trumpets - Yeah, yeah...- #
0:13:19 > 0:13:23When I'm playing music, I feel that I'm in my own world.
0:13:24 > 0:13:28Nothing else can bother me, I'm just doing what I love.
0:13:47 > 0:13:51'I am a bit sad that my parents can't be as passionate about music
0:13:51 > 0:13:54'as I can, because music is a massive part of my life.
0:13:55 > 0:13:58'If I had no music, I wouldn't be Ben.
0:13:58 > 0:14:02'I can't play them my favourite song I can't play my guitar to them.
0:14:02 > 0:14:04'They don't know what my voice sounds like.'
0:14:04 > 0:14:09I do get a bit sad because I want them to enjoy my music
0:14:09 > 0:14:11but they can't enjoy it, can they?
0:14:14 > 0:14:18It's my aspiration to bring the two worlds together
0:14:18 > 0:14:20because deaf people don't have access to music
0:14:20 > 0:14:23and the hearing people don't have access to the deaf world.
0:14:24 > 0:14:28That's why I've made a decision to become a signing performer.
0:14:30 > 0:14:33To achieve my dreams, I've got two big challenges ahead -
0:14:33 > 0:14:38an audition at a drama school and a sign language exam.
0:14:58 > 0:15:00Hello! My name is A-S-H-L-E-Y...
0:15:00 > 0:15:03'My big brother Ashley is a TV presenter
0:15:03 > 0:15:06'on the CBeebies programme Magic Hands.'
0:15:06 > 0:15:08Look at what my hands can do.
0:15:13 > 0:15:16Ashley's background as a TV presenter makes him
0:15:16 > 0:15:19the perfect person to help me prepare for my audition
0:15:19 > 0:15:21for Sylvia Young Drama School.
0:15:24 > 0:15:27Sylvia Young is one of the best drama schools in the country,
0:15:27 > 0:15:30if I get a place there I'll go full time.
0:15:30 > 0:15:32Normal school lessons take place in the morning
0:15:32 > 0:15:36and then the afternoon is full of acting, singing and dancing classes.
0:15:36 > 0:15:39Stars such as Rita Ora, Josh from Union J
0:15:39 > 0:15:43and Billie Piper studied here, so the standard is pretty high.
0:15:43 > 0:15:46It's really difficult to get a place at the school with over
0:15:46 > 0:15:49100 children auditioning every year.
0:15:49 > 0:15:50I'll have to work really hard.
0:15:50 > 0:15:53Today I've travelled down to London for my audition
0:15:53 > 0:15:54and I'm feeling the pressure.
0:15:54 > 0:15:57I'm really pleased to have Ashley with me for support
0:15:57 > 0:15:59but for the audition I'm on my own.
0:16:09 > 0:16:12- Wait there for me and if you go through your pieces.- OK.
0:16:12 > 0:16:15And they'll call you when they are ready for you.
0:16:15 > 0:16:16OK, thank you.
0:16:25 > 0:16:27OK, it's my big moment.
0:16:27 > 0:16:28'I have to be able to sing,
0:16:28 > 0:16:31'dance and act really well in order to get a place at the school.
0:16:31 > 0:16:34'That's what they expect to see in an audition.'
0:16:34 > 0:16:37You're doing something slightly different, aren't you?
0:16:37 > 0:16:38Yeah, I'm doing that one.
0:16:38 > 0:16:41'Sylvia Young, who set up the school, is on the panel.
0:16:41 > 0:16:44'I must work really hard to impress her.'
0:16:44 > 0:16:45HE RECITES AUDITION PIECE
0:16:49 > 0:16:52'It started off OK but then my nerves get the better of me
0:16:52 > 0:16:54'and I forget my words.
0:16:54 > 0:16:55'Disaster!'
0:16:56 > 0:16:58- Grandad.- Grandad...
0:17:06 > 0:17:09- I've not been told about a song yet. - Ooh, you haven't.
0:17:09 > 0:17:12'A problem strikes, they've asked me to sing a song,
0:17:12 > 0:17:16'and I didn't realise I had to prepare for this.'
0:17:16 > 0:17:18HE SINGS SCALES
0:17:20 > 0:17:23HE SINGS
0:17:34 > 0:17:37- And that's it. - Thank you.
0:17:37 > 0:17:39Bye.
0:17:41 > 0:17:46That went really well and I'm so relived, it went so well.
0:17:46 > 0:17:48I think I did good.
0:17:48 > 0:17:51I didn't get a song but I did exercises
0:17:51 > 0:17:53because I didn't know there was a song.
0:17:53 > 0:17:57And I did improve - dancing.
0:17:57 > 0:18:00So it went well, went well.
0:18:00 > 0:18:04'It's going to be a few weeks before I find out how I got on,
0:18:04 > 0:18:05'it's going to be a long wait.'
0:18:07 > 0:18:10'Getting a place at the drama school is really important,
0:18:10 > 0:18:15'I'll learn so much about what it takes to become a skilled performer.
0:18:15 > 0:18:19'But if I want to become a signing performer my signing skills
0:18:19 > 0:18:21'have to be just as good.
0:18:21 > 0:18:23'Just because I sign at home
0:18:23 > 0:18:26'isn't the same as having a proper qualification.
0:18:26 > 0:18:29'This is why I have decided to sit my sign language exam,
0:18:29 > 0:18:32'there are four levels and I'm going to try and get my Level 3.'
0:18:43 > 0:18:45'This is my tutor Gavin, he's leading the class.
0:18:45 > 0:18:47'We have a couple of classes to polish up our skills
0:18:47 > 0:18:49'before the big assessment, where a panel will decide
0:18:49 > 0:18:51'if I'm good enough for Level 3.'
0:18:51 > 0:18:56In the classes you learn loads of different things like say,
0:18:56 > 0:18:58Big Ben, and all the Parliament.
0:19:06 > 0:19:08And that's describing the Big Ben tower.
0:19:10 > 0:19:13'Normally, this class is for adults working with deaf adults.
0:19:13 > 0:19:15'But I'm the only kid in the class.
0:19:15 > 0:19:17'If I achieve my Level 3,
0:19:17 > 0:19:19'I'll be the youngest person in the UK to get it.'
0:19:22 > 0:19:26Level 3 is a big thing because I know I can sign
0:19:26 > 0:19:32but it doesn't mean that just because you can sign, you're going to pass.
0:19:32 > 0:19:35You're going to have to learn more advanced signing.
0:19:36 > 0:19:41Which I've learnt and also I may pass,
0:19:41 > 0:19:45I may not, because I'm not sure if my skills are advanced enough.
0:19:48 > 0:19:52It's the day of the BSL exam where I'll have to face a tough panel.
0:19:52 > 0:19:55My stomach is churning and I have butterflies.
0:20:13 > 0:20:16'I'm being tested on how much I understand a deaf person
0:20:16 > 0:20:17'and their signing.'
0:20:21 > 0:20:23'Ooh no, it's not going well.
0:20:23 > 0:20:25'I don't know the answer to the first question.'
0:20:36 > 0:20:41'Like my audition at Sylvia Young, this exam is so important to me.
0:20:41 > 0:20:43'If I do well I will be one step closer to
0:20:43 > 0:20:46'achieving my dream of becoming a signing performer.'
0:21:04 > 0:21:08I've got to hope for the best like Sylvia Young and wish me luck.
0:21:11 > 0:21:13That's it, I've done my two challenges
0:21:13 > 0:21:15and there is nothing more I can do.
0:21:17 > 0:21:19'Now I've got the time to choose the bits from this film that
0:21:19 > 0:21:23'I want my friends and family to see at my special premier.
0:21:23 > 0:21:26'The premier is only two weeks away and there's lots to do.'
0:21:31 > 0:21:33'A few days before my big day,
0:21:33 > 0:21:36'a letter from Sylvia Young Drama School came in the post
0:21:36 > 0:21:38'and it said that I've been offered a place!'
0:21:40 > 0:21:44When I found out I got a place I felt overjoyed,
0:21:44 > 0:21:47I can't explain it, I can't put it into words.
0:21:47 > 0:21:50I was just like, "Yeah!"
0:21:50 > 0:21:57I ran around the house screaming, "I got in. I got in, Yeah!"
0:21:57 > 0:21:58Today is the big day.
0:22:00 > 0:22:04In one afternoon, my front room is being transformed into
0:22:04 > 0:22:08a mini cinema, ready for my friends and family to watch my film.
0:22:08 > 0:22:10It's so exciting.
0:22:10 > 0:22:13This is the first time my two worlds have come together
0:22:13 > 0:22:15and it's a big thing for me.
0:22:22 > 0:22:24I'm nervous it's not going to work
0:22:24 > 0:22:26and I don't want to mess it up.
0:22:27 > 0:22:29But I'm really excited as well
0:22:29 > 0:22:32because all my friends are around, and we can do loads of fun things.
0:22:32 > 0:22:36We can watch my premier, it's worth it.
0:22:43 > 0:22:45Testing, testing one, two, three.
0:22:48 > 0:22:52I'm really excited about meeting Jasper for the first time.
0:22:52 > 0:22:54Bringing his hearing and deaf world here today is really good
0:22:54 > 0:22:57because they're both parts of who he is.
0:23:06 > 0:23:09Most of these hearing people haven't been to my house before
0:23:09 > 0:23:12because I was a bit nervous because of the two worlds coming
0:23:12 > 0:23:15together and so, but now it's finally happening.
0:23:15 > 0:23:16Wish me luck.
0:23:18 > 0:23:22'My friends and family have come together for the first time
0:23:22 > 0:23:26'to see my film, and they'll get to see my audition and my exam.
0:23:26 > 0:23:28'I hope they understand what it means to me.'
0:23:40 > 0:23:43'My hearing friends are in the back and my deaf friends are in the front.
0:23:43 > 0:23:47'They're not mixing yet but I hope my film will change that.'
0:23:54 > 0:23:57APPLAUSE
0:24:02 > 0:24:05Thank you, hopefully you enjoyed that and what...
0:24:05 > 0:24:09'Dad's interrupting my premier, what's going on?'
0:24:09 > 0:24:10I didn't know about this.
0:24:10 > 0:24:12'Ooh, he has some news about my BSL Level 3 exam,
0:24:12 > 0:24:16'but I didn't know the results were out.'
0:24:16 > 0:24:20Before we open it, Ben, neither of us know what's in this envelope
0:24:20 > 0:24:23but just know that Mum and Dad are really proud of you
0:24:23 > 0:24:26- and your brothers and sisters. - Ahhhh!
0:24:36 > 0:24:38Oh, my God. I did it!
0:24:53 > 0:24:54'In the bag!'
0:25:04 > 0:25:09It's been really good being here with all these people with Ben.
0:25:09 > 0:25:11I'm very proud of him.
0:25:12 > 0:25:15I think I might try again with sign language,
0:25:15 > 0:25:19cos he's tried to teach me before but I never got the hang of it.
0:25:19 > 0:25:21But now I think I might try again.
0:25:28 > 0:25:32And, look, my hearing friends and deaf friends are starting to mix.
0:25:32 > 0:25:34But there is one more thing left to do
0:25:34 > 0:25:37and that's to introduce my two best friends - Jasper and Charlie -
0:25:37 > 0:25:38to each other.
0:25:41 > 0:25:44H! OK, so, Charlie this is Jasper.
0:25:44 > 0:25:46Jasper, this is Charlie, OK.
0:25:46 > 0:25:48Do you want to talk?
0:25:49 > 0:25:50So, how old are you?
0:25:52 > 0:25:53He said he's nine.
0:25:55 > 0:25:59- He asked how old are you? - I'm 11.
0:25:59 > 0:26:029, 10, 11. HE LAUGHS
0:26:02 > 0:26:04He said what football team do you support?
0:26:05 > 0:26:08You support Man Utd and he supports Derby.
0:26:10 > 0:26:14No, no, but the best one is Liverpool, you can't stop me.
0:26:17 > 0:26:19Liverpool, yeah, yeah, yeah!
0:26:20 > 0:26:22I think you've got on really well, to be fair,
0:26:22 > 0:26:25and you know how you're signing a little bit.
0:26:25 > 0:26:27- Yeah...- Not much but still, you were a little bit.
0:26:27 > 0:26:32But how do you feel that you've met a deaf person and you're signing?
0:26:32 > 0:26:33I'm really happy.
0:26:33 > 0:26:35Because apart from your parents,
0:26:35 > 0:26:38I've never really met someone who's fully deaf.
0:26:38 > 0:26:40I think he's a really nice boy and I've liked it.
0:26:47 > 0:26:50He says he really wants to meet you again in the future.
0:26:50 > 0:26:52I hope you do and high-five!
0:26:56 > 0:26:58What about me?
0:26:58 > 0:27:02- I've already given you a high-five. - Come on then, guys.
0:27:05 > 0:27:09Before the premier, I was feeling a bit embarrassed and nervous because
0:27:09 > 0:27:12I didn't want the two worlds to come together, because I was really
0:27:12 > 0:27:15embarrassed that they wouldn't get on or anything like that.
0:27:17 > 0:27:21But now I'm so happy that they met, they got on so perfectly,
0:27:21 > 0:27:22deaf and hearing. Together.
0:27:22 > 0:27:25They just got on perfectly fine, nothing wrong about it.
0:27:28 > 0:27:31I don't know why I didn't do it for ages.
