0:00:02 > 0:00:04My name is Kashmea, and I'm 12 years old.

0:00:04 > 0:00:09When I was 11, I did an IQ test and I was told I had a higher IQ than

0:00:09 > 0:00:10Albert Einstein.

0:00:10 > 0:00:13I was always working towards building an app,

0:00:13 > 0:00:16and I think the IQ just sped it up.

0:00:16 > 0:00:19So, I'm going to make an app about something very close to my heart.

0:00:19 > 0:00:23Nainika was like one of the most sweetest people I've genuinely ever

0:00:23 > 0:00:25met in my life.

0:00:25 > 0:00:29So, they tried to resuscitate her, but nothing happened.

0:00:57 > 0:01:00My name is Kashmea, and I'm 12 years old.

0:01:00 > 0:01:03I live with my mum, dad, and little brother.

0:01:05 > 0:01:09Kashmea is creating ripples in the United Kingdom and here's why.

0:01:10 > 0:01:12After I did an IQ test last year,

0:01:12 > 0:01:15I got a score of 162 from Mensa.

0:01:15 > 0:01:17It's the highest score you can get.

0:01:17 > 0:01:20Which means she now has a higher score than

0:01:20 > 0:01:23scientists like Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking.

0:01:23 > 0:01:28I ended up getting lots of attention from media around the world.

0:01:28 > 0:01:33Here is an example of some questions that I got asked in the Mensa exam,

0:01:33 > 0:01:35and I just want my dad to do some of them.

0:01:41 > 0:01:42Unscramble the letters...

0:01:45 > 0:01:47OK.

0:01:49 > 0:01:52OK. Do they not give a hint or anything?

0:01:54 > 0:01:56It's Mensa.

0:01:56 > 0:01:59I speak two languages fluently, Hindi and English.

0:01:59 > 0:02:03So, I speak Hindi fluently because it's basically my first language,

0:02:03 > 0:02:06and it's the first language I ever learnt.

0:02:06 > 0:02:09In the future, I'd also like to be fluent in Spanish, French,

0:02:09 > 0:02:12and language encoding.

0:02:12 > 0:02:15Coding allows us to do all the things we love on our phones

0:02:15 > 0:02:16and tablets.

0:02:16 > 0:02:20The languages I've been learning are C#, Java, and HTML.

0:02:22 > 0:02:25I was always working towards building an app,

0:02:25 > 0:02:29and I think the IQ just sped it up and gave me a bit more confidence.

0:02:30 > 0:02:32So, I'm going to make an app,

0:02:32 > 0:02:34and I'm giving myself just one month to do it.

0:02:37 > 0:02:38A few weeks ago,

0:02:38 > 0:02:42we received some news from our community which shocked us all.

0:02:42 > 0:02:46A close family friend's daughter, Nainika, had passed away.

0:02:46 > 0:02:48I want to find out what happened.

0:02:52 > 0:02:57It was a usual Saturday morning, 20th of May.

0:02:57 > 0:03:01She got ready to go for her horse riding lessons.

0:03:01 > 0:03:04She'd been asking to have pancakes for a few days,

0:03:04 > 0:03:05and because I've been so busy,

0:03:05 > 0:03:07I couldn't make pancakes during weekdays.

0:03:07 > 0:03:10And we said, "Daddy will make it for you today."

0:03:10 > 0:03:11And on the way back, she said,

0:03:11 > 0:03:14"I want to have pancake with blackberry in it,"

0:03:14 > 0:03:17and she had never eaten blackberry before.

0:03:18 > 0:03:22She had just a bite of it and she came up in a big reaction.

0:03:22 > 0:03:27So, similar to an asthmatic reaction...

0:03:27 > 0:03:30..turning red suddenly, you know, itchy all over.

0:03:30 > 0:03:36So, her daddy gave her the piriton and the inhaler.

0:03:36 > 0:03:41He gave her the Epipen and she had lost her pulse straightaway,

0:03:41 > 0:03:44she couldn't breathe. She wasn't...

0:03:44 > 0:03:46Her heart wasn't breathing at all.

0:03:46 > 0:03:50So, they tried to resuscitate her...

0:03:50 > 0:03:51..but nothing happened.

0:04:00 > 0:04:03She couldn't eat out at Indian restaurants or restaurants which are

0:04:03 > 0:04:08multi-cuisine, because the chefs sometimes wouldn't be able to give

0:04:08 > 0:04:10her a dairy-free meal.

0:04:10 > 0:04:13It's a simple thing, "Let's go out and eat today."

0:04:13 > 0:04:17And families like ours struggle.

0:04:20 > 0:04:24Nainika's family were always having to double check every ingredient

0:04:24 > 0:04:26on every menu.

0:04:26 > 0:04:29I want to make going out to eat a bit easier.

0:04:34 > 0:04:37Hearing Nainika's story has really hit home,

0:04:37 > 0:04:40and although my app couldn't have stopped what happened,

0:04:40 > 0:04:42I hope it makes doing simple things possible.

0:04:47 > 0:04:50After seeing Lakshmi, I found out that there was an allergy show,

0:04:50 > 0:04:52so I'm here to find out more.

0:04:56 > 0:05:00- Hello, nice to meet you.- Hi, my name's Kashmea.- Hello, I'm Emma.

0:05:00 > 0:05:03Emma does allergy awareness work with children.

0:05:03 > 0:05:06Her son also passed away after an allergic reaction.

0:05:07 > 0:05:13So, recently we've had someone quite close to us as a family pass away.

0:05:13 > 0:05:14She was a nine-year-old girl.

0:05:14 > 0:05:17And so, since then, we've decided to create allergy awareness,

0:05:17 > 0:05:19because it is a huge topic.

0:05:19 > 0:05:21Like, just being here today,

0:05:21 > 0:05:23you can see how many people

0:05:23 > 0:05:26are suffering from this, you know, daily.

0:05:26 > 0:05:29That's very similar, on the same lines as what happened with Haydn.

0:05:29 > 0:05:32It was very sudden. We had no clue he had an allergy to food.

0:05:32 > 0:05:34He was an asthmatic beforehand,

0:05:34 > 0:05:36and had a bowl of cereal with peanuts on it in the morning.

0:05:36 > 0:05:39And, again, it was so sudden, he was gone within 20 minutes.

0:05:39 > 0:05:41We had nothing to help him out and that was it.

0:05:41 > 0:05:43It was over very quickly,

0:05:43 > 0:05:46which is the reason why we push for the education side for our charity,

0:05:46 > 0:05:47Haydn's Wish.

0:05:47 > 0:05:50So, it's very much along the same lines.

0:05:50 > 0:05:55What we were trying to achieve was to help people with allergies

0:05:55 > 0:05:58be able to go into restaurants and feel confident that, you know,

0:05:58 > 0:06:01- they're not going to face an issue when they get there.- Yeah.

0:06:01 > 0:06:03What we were thinking is an app,

0:06:03 > 0:06:06one of the main facilities it would have is, you know,

0:06:06 > 0:06:08list quite a few restaurants and

0:06:08 > 0:06:11have the ability for people to view them

0:06:11 > 0:06:12and review them.

0:06:12 > 0:06:15In terms of the importance of the app, incredibly important.

0:06:15 > 0:06:17The usefulness is going to be amazing,

0:06:17 > 0:06:20and I think you'll take off really well with it.

0:06:21 > 0:06:26Especially cos Haydn and our family friend's daughter,

0:06:26 > 0:06:29they were both around the same age and they were both very, very young.

0:06:29 > 0:06:32I do really feel that this app is a way to go.

0:06:32 > 0:06:36I feel that this will be useful for many people in their daily life.

0:06:38 > 0:06:41Meeting Emma has really inspired me to get going.

0:06:41 > 0:06:45I can't imagine losing someone so close to me as she has.

0:06:48 > 0:06:51I love my sister.

0:06:51 > 0:06:54She has to try her best. The main thing is, she is always...

0:06:54 > 0:06:57That thing is always there in her to help others.

0:06:57 > 0:07:00She's very kind-hearted.

0:07:00 > 0:07:02She's the best daughter.

0:07:02 > 0:07:05My ambitions for this app,

0:07:05 > 0:07:07I want to make this the best app it can,

0:07:07 > 0:07:10and I want this app to help as many people as possible,

0:07:10 > 0:07:12not just a limited amount.

0:07:12 > 0:07:14I don't want to restrict this app to anything.

0:07:16 > 0:07:19All of my research into allergies has shown me how important

0:07:19 > 0:07:21accessibility is.

0:07:21 > 0:07:23It's made me think that I may be able to help more people.

0:07:28 > 0:07:30I'm off on a trip with Clara and Alfie,

0:07:30 > 0:07:33who know more than me about what it's like to have to think about

0:07:33 > 0:07:35access wherever they go.

0:07:38 > 0:07:41Clara, Alfie, look at these.

0:07:41 > 0:07:44Can you find Dory? Do they have Dory?

0:07:46 > 0:07:48Yeah, that's a real Nemo.

0:07:55 > 0:07:57- Ow!- I got you!

0:07:57 > 0:07:58When you're going out,

0:07:58 > 0:08:01does your mum check for you before you go somewhere,

0:08:01 > 0:08:03does this place have a ramp, or do you do it?

0:08:03 > 0:08:05My mum checks on the internet.

0:08:05 > 0:08:08She checks on the internet, yeah.

0:08:08 > 0:08:11- Do you know where she checks on the internet?- She just searched it up.

0:08:11 > 0:08:13She just searched it up, OK.

0:08:13 > 0:08:16Have you ever had somewhere where you went there and there hasn't been

0:08:16 > 0:08:18a ramp, so you couldn't get in?

0:08:18 > 0:08:19- No.- No?

0:08:19 > 0:08:22- Yes.- Yes?- Yeah.

0:08:22 > 0:08:25Hanging out with Clara and Alfie was great fun,

0:08:25 > 0:08:28and if I can at least make sure that they have more accurate information

0:08:28 > 0:08:30about access, that will be a start.

0:08:36 > 0:08:40I have often been called special since taking the Mensa test,

0:08:40 > 0:08:43and I want the app to be called Speciall, with a double L,

0:08:43 > 0:08:46to reflect it's about all of us being equal.

0:08:55 > 0:09:01So, right now, I'm basically creating a web page for Speciall.

0:09:02 > 0:09:05My ambition for Speciall isn't for it to just be a web page,

0:09:05 > 0:09:09it's for it to be a mobile app and be quite global.

0:09:09 > 0:09:11But for me to be able to code an app,

0:09:11 > 0:09:15that takes a lot more knowledge than it does to be able to code

0:09:15 > 0:09:19a web page. An equal sign and then two quotation marks.

0:09:19 > 0:09:21I've been doing coding for a while.

0:09:21 > 0:09:25I think I'll still need a little bit,

0:09:25 > 0:09:29quite a lot more training to be able to code a whole app by myself.

0:09:29 > 0:09:32So, at this point, I think I'll need a bit more help.

0:09:32 > 0:09:36What do you require first? Did you check on that...

0:09:36 > 0:09:39My mum's found a developer in Scotland

0:09:39 > 0:09:41who's going to help me make the app.

0:09:41 > 0:09:43So, your idea is brilliant and I am

0:09:43 > 0:09:46sure you would have no problem with that.

0:09:46 > 0:09:49So, 20 days from start to publishing it to Apple store.

0:09:49 > 0:09:53We'll work as a team to try and get a prototype together in a few weeks.

0:09:55 > 0:09:58That was really, really, really helpful.

0:09:58 > 0:10:01I'm feeling a bit nervous about just how much I've got to do.

0:10:04 > 0:10:07Right now, I have so much on my plate homework-wise...

0:10:08 > 0:10:11..and it's just sometimes a bit pressurising,

0:10:11 > 0:10:14coming home a bit late and then having to fit in everything.

0:10:16 > 0:10:21Now with the app, I really do want to dedicate a lot of time to this,

0:10:21 > 0:10:25but I'm just struggling quite a bit to just fit it all in.

0:10:25 > 0:10:29I've just got to sit down, and, OK, I need to plan what I'm going to do,

0:10:29 > 0:10:32when everything is due, what my priorities are,

0:10:32 > 0:10:36because otherwise if I just wing it, it's going to all fail.

0:10:40 > 0:10:44I know there's going to be a lot of work to do, but before I start,

0:10:44 > 0:10:46I want to get some netball practice in.

0:10:48 > 0:10:52I am quite proud of myself for getting the app started,

0:10:52 > 0:10:57but I still think this is nothing in comparison to what it could be,

0:10:57 > 0:11:00and I think I'll be even prouder in myself

0:11:00 > 0:11:02if it gets to its best potential.

0:11:04 > 0:11:06I was like, "Oh, I need to start practising netball and lacrosse,

0:11:06 > 0:11:10"but I don't have any time today." And it turns out that I do.

0:11:12 > 0:11:15I have to get 90% of the shots in.

0:11:15 > 0:11:19So, let's start counting now.

0:11:19 > 0:11:21OK, let's start counting after I've got one in.

0:11:37 > 0:11:39Shooting hoops really focuses my mind,

0:11:39 > 0:11:42but now I need to get back to the app and do some more research.

0:11:46 > 0:11:50Well, they do gluten-free options, so that's always good.

0:11:51 > 0:11:52There are no houses here.

0:11:52 > 0:11:55It's basically just cafes and restaurants.

0:11:55 > 0:11:58I need to get restaurants to sign up to the app.

0:11:58 > 0:12:02We were wondering if you'd want to be listed and involved in the app.

0:12:02 > 0:12:04- We'll be part of it, you know...- Yeah.

0:12:04 > 0:12:07- ..to give you a hand, why not, you know?- Yeah.

0:12:07 > 0:12:08- Thank you.- Yeah, no problem.

0:12:08 > 0:12:10Lots of places want to be involved.

0:12:12 > 0:12:14So, it was a shame, she was just...

0:12:14 > 0:12:17Well, most of them.

0:12:17 > 0:12:19My mission now is to spread the word,

0:12:19 > 0:12:22meet as many businesses as possible...

0:12:22 > 0:12:23My name's Kashmea.

0:12:23 > 0:12:24..and get some tips.

0:12:24 > 0:12:28We took the philosophy that even a small number of listings is fine,

0:12:28 > 0:12:31as long as they are really good, really well vetted.

0:12:34 > 0:12:38Srin set up his online B&B service because he was fed up with not

0:12:38 > 0:12:41having information on wheelchair access from other apps.

0:12:43 > 0:12:47I finally feel like I'm starting to make some progress.

0:12:47 > 0:12:50But on the business side of things, I may need some help.

0:12:56 > 0:12:57And here it is.

0:12:58 > 0:13:02So, this is her book, What You Really Need To Know About Business.

0:13:02 > 0:13:05Common sense rules, from the star of Dragons' Den.

0:13:10 > 0:13:13To see if my app has what it takes to succeed,

0:13:13 > 0:13:15I'm meeting leading businesswoman Deborah Meaden.

0:13:17 > 0:13:19I'm really nervous, because I don't like...

0:13:19 > 0:13:23I KNOW Deborah Meaden from watching her,

0:13:23 > 0:13:26and I just don't know how she's going to react.

0:13:26 > 0:13:28And I hope it's positive.

0:13:28 > 0:13:32Deborah Meaden has disappointing news from the outset.

0:13:32 > 0:13:34I do, obviously, look up to her,

0:13:34 > 0:13:36because she's such a great businessperson.

0:13:36 > 0:13:38And...

0:13:39 > 0:13:41Let's just hope it goes well.

0:13:43 > 0:13:47I really hope Deborah can help me focus on what I need to do to make

0:13:47 > 0:13:48my app a success.

0:13:50 > 0:13:53What I would say about marketing is, think of...

0:13:54 > 0:13:56..where the person you're talking to is, you know?

0:13:56 > 0:13:59Where do they gather, what do they read.

0:13:59 > 0:14:02I'm guessing if you have disabilities,

0:14:02 > 0:14:05actually online is quite an important marketplace for you,

0:14:05 > 0:14:07because that's where you're going to...

0:14:07 > 0:14:10That's where, I guess, you're going to be able to explore lots of things

0:14:10 > 0:14:12around the world.

0:14:12 > 0:14:15I think for you, the most important thing will be to think about,

0:14:15 > 0:14:19how do I capture those people? What language do they speak?

0:14:19 > 0:14:22They don't even know about me, so how do I...

0:14:22 > 0:14:26What words do I try and use to make sure that they can find me?

0:14:26 > 0:14:31So, maybe I just wanted to ask, first of all, how to sell this idea?

0:14:31 > 0:14:34It's a great app, it's really useful.

0:14:34 > 0:14:38So, you know, you need to get lots of people talking about it,

0:14:38 > 0:14:42the influential bloggers, the ones people are listening to,

0:14:42 > 0:14:44and not just people with disabilities.

0:14:44 > 0:14:50I think it's a great app, so get voices that have actually got

0:14:50 > 0:14:54an audience. Just get people like me talking about it,

0:14:54 > 0:14:57- and then people will know to even look for it.- Yeah.

0:14:57 > 0:14:58Which investors do I choose?

0:14:58 > 0:15:01I think that went really well.

0:15:01 > 0:15:04Like, I was really nervous about it at the beginning,

0:15:04 > 0:15:08but when I saw her come in and she was just so friendly and so lively,

0:15:08 > 0:15:13I just like, all my nerves went away, which was really good.

0:15:13 > 0:15:16- The lighting's amazing.- Isn't it? That's it, there you go.

0:15:17 > 0:15:20I think I'm just going to go away from this and just really,

0:15:20 > 0:15:22really get into the marketing,

0:15:22 > 0:15:26maybe set up a few accounts for social media to really,

0:15:26 > 0:15:28really energise this.

0:15:29 > 0:15:31And just hope for the best.

0:15:31 > 0:15:34Deborah advised that I get well-known bloggers involved,

0:15:34 > 0:15:38so I messaged Dina Tokio, who has 1.3 million followers,

0:15:38 > 0:15:40in the hope that she will agree to meet with me.

0:15:40 > 0:15:43But before that, I've got a flight to catch.

0:15:47 > 0:15:48I am super excited,

0:15:48 > 0:15:51but the rest of my family are treating my business trip

0:15:51 > 0:15:53like a holiday.

0:15:53 > 0:15:55I'm about to go meet the app developer,

0:15:55 > 0:15:59and he's going to show us a prototype of the app.

0:15:59 > 0:16:03I'm quite excited, because this is sort of clarifying that this is live

0:16:03 > 0:16:05and it is a reality.

0:16:08 > 0:16:11We've been working on the app and it's almost complete now.

0:16:13 > 0:16:15Last minute testing, a couple of bugs here and there,

0:16:15 > 0:16:18but more or less ready for us to test now.

0:16:18 > 0:16:21- Would you like me to show you the app?- Yes, please.- OK.

0:16:22 > 0:16:24There you go.

0:16:25 > 0:16:28The app opens on a home page which has

0:16:28 > 0:16:30different activities people like to do.

0:16:30 > 0:16:33The user can then choose what they want to do

0:16:33 > 0:16:35and apply filters, like...

0:16:38 > 0:16:41..so they know that they can go out comfortably.

0:16:41 > 0:16:44It then creates a list based on their choices and location.

0:16:46 > 0:16:48So, what do I need to do next?

0:16:48 > 0:16:52Right, now that you've given me the list of improvements you would want

0:16:52 > 0:16:54on the app, what we would do is go back to the team,

0:16:54 > 0:16:56give them the list of changes,

0:16:56 > 0:17:00and then I'll send you a link for you to test it, finally.

0:17:00 > 0:17:04And once you're happy, we can send it to Apple and Google.

0:17:04 > 0:17:07They will review the app, and once the app is ready to launch,

0:17:07 > 0:17:10they will send us an e-mail saying, "OK, now you can launch the app."

0:17:10 > 0:17:12Speciall team!

0:17:12 > 0:17:13I really like the app.

0:17:13 > 0:17:17The first impression it created on me was quite great.

0:17:17 > 0:17:21Although, there is a version out right now, a demo version,

0:17:21 > 0:17:23I think there's still a lot more to go.

0:17:30 > 0:17:32I'm back in London now.

0:17:32 > 0:17:34Seeing the app was awesome,

0:17:34 > 0:17:36but I still need to figure out what needs to be done.

0:17:50 > 0:17:52When we met the app developer,

0:17:52 > 0:17:55it sort of brought a bit more confidence into me,

0:17:55 > 0:18:00cos I sort of knew that, OK, so now the app is coming to life,

0:18:00 > 0:18:02because of the experience of carving it into stone,

0:18:02 > 0:18:04it's definitely going to happen.

0:18:04 > 0:18:09Also, I'm really looking forward to launching the app to have some sort

0:18:09 > 0:18:10of launch event...

0:18:12 > 0:18:14..just cos I've never, obviously, done one of those,

0:18:14 > 0:18:16and I want to know what it'll be like.

0:18:16 > 0:18:20With the vacation around the corner, you'll have a lot of time.

0:18:20 > 0:18:24- Yeah.- Yeah, and I need some tea or coffee desperately.

0:18:26 > 0:18:29Hi, guys! So, for today's video, I'm...

0:18:29 > 0:18:32So, Dina Tokio has said yes to meeting me.

0:18:32 > 0:18:34She has millions of followers,

0:18:34 > 0:18:37so if she likes my app that will really help spread the word.

0:18:37 > 0:18:39She's really cool.

0:18:40 > 0:18:42You're only 12, mate!

0:18:42 > 0:18:45You've got a great future, you know.

0:18:45 > 0:18:46You're so mature. I feel intimidated.

0:18:46 > 0:18:48I don't want to do this any more!

0:18:48 > 0:18:50I don't know what I'm doing. So, OK, tell me, then.

0:18:50 > 0:18:52- Is it a free app?- Yeah.

0:18:52 > 0:18:54And, sorry, just back to the beginning,

0:18:54 > 0:18:56cos we didn't really get round to this,

0:18:56 > 0:18:58what exactly is the app going to do?

0:18:58 > 0:19:03So, I'm trying to help children who can't live as fully as they would

0:19:03 > 0:19:05like to, and I would like them to.

0:19:05 > 0:19:09The two main people that we're focusing on are people who suffer

0:19:09 > 0:19:11from allergies and wheelchair users.

0:19:11 > 0:19:14I really need help, basically.

0:19:14 > 0:19:18So, now you're just at the stage where you want to tell the people

0:19:18 > 0:19:21that might need this app, look, it exists.

0:19:21 > 0:19:23Basically, if you want to make something viral,

0:19:23 > 0:19:26what you've got to do is you've got to make it relatable and shareable.

0:19:26 > 0:19:29- It needs to be shareable. You know like when you share something?- Yeah.

0:19:29 > 0:19:31Like on your WhatsApp or on your Facebook,

0:19:31 > 0:19:34it's normally something that's two minutes long or a minute even.

0:19:34 > 0:19:37- And it gets the message across really quickly...- Yeah.

0:19:37 > 0:19:40- And it's really, like, juicy, and you want to share it...- Ding!

0:19:40 > 0:19:43Yeah, and you literally want to be like, "Mum, look at this!"

0:19:43 > 0:19:47Get on social media. Because you're already passionate about it,

0:19:47 > 0:19:49then it's going to come across when you're talking online,

0:19:49 > 0:19:52so people will believe you and they'll want to know more, right?

0:19:52 > 0:19:55- Yeah.- Because if you're doing some kind of business where you're

0:19:55 > 0:19:58helping people, but also you're passionate because you've

0:19:58 > 0:20:00experienced something similar,

0:20:00 > 0:20:02basically it will sell more because it's believable,

0:20:02 > 0:20:04because it actually flipping happened.

0:20:08 > 0:20:11But I'll show you the difference in the kind of posts you'll be posting.

0:20:11 > 0:20:13- You can take the picture.- All right.

0:20:13 > 0:20:15Oh, you already took one.

0:20:15 > 0:20:18Here you go.

0:20:18 > 0:20:20Oh, hi, guys.

0:20:20 > 0:20:22I'm just learning all about the new app, and hopefully...

0:20:22 > 0:20:25- When's it going to be out? Oh, do they not know that yet?- No.

0:20:25 > 0:20:27It's a secret.

0:20:27 > 0:20:28Keep posted.

0:20:28 > 0:20:30Maybe Monday.

0:20:30 > 0:20:31You just told everyone!

0:20:31 > 0:20:32LAUGHTER

0:20:33 > 0:20:36See? Behind the scenes, look.

0:20:36 > 0:20:39- Bye!- Bye, thank you. - Nice to meet you. Good luck.

0:20:39 > 0:20:42- Thank you.- And you can DM me if you have any other questions.- OK.

0:20:43 > 0:20:46- Here with Kashmea, who...- Hi!

0:20:46 > 0:20:48..is only 12 years old,

0:20:48 > 0:20:52and she's come up with a genius app called Speciall UK.

0:20:52 > 0:20:54Coming out soon.

0:20:54 > 0:20:57Stay posted on the pages I tag to find out more.

0:20:57 > 0:21:00I made a cool new friend.

0:21:00 > 0:21:01Yay me!

0:21:03 > 0:21:05Meeting Dina was so cool.

0:21:05 > 0:21:06She put up a post of our chat,

0:21:06 > 0:21:09and YouTube's official account reposted it.

0:21:09 > 0:21:12There were over 85,000 likes.

0:21:14 > 0:21:17The next thing I need to do is launch it officially.

0:21:17 > 0:21:21Yeah, I think it's quite nerve-racking just going by myself

0:21:21 > 0:21:23and explaining to them what I'm doing.

0:21:23 > 0:21:26And usually in a bigger company, there'd be...

0:21:26 > 0:21:28There'd definitely not be one person doing it,

0:21:28 > 0:21:29there would be like a team of people.

0:21:29 > 0:21:32I think it's quite overwhelming talking to adults.

0:21:32 > 0:21:34And, you know, it's really, really hard to transfer ideas

0:21:34 > 0:21:37that you've got in your head and try and explain them word for word,

0:21:37 > 0:21:39in detail to other people.

0:21:43 > 0:21:46I'm getting ready for the launch of the app Speciall today.

0:21:46 > 0:21:48It's really, really important because, well,

0:21:48 > 0:21:51hopefully for me it's going to be the start of something,

0:21:51 > 0:21:53and this is basically launching it.

0:21:53 > 0:21:55Hi, everyone. Thank you all for being here

0:21:55 > 0:21:57at the launch of Speciall today.

0:21:57 > 0:22:00To prepare for the launch, I practised my speech a few times.

0:22:00 > 0:22:03Obviously, like, I've got my dress and I'm going to get my hair done.

0:22:03 > 0:22:05So, yeah.

0:22:07 > 0:22:09A few suggestions.

0:22:09 > 0:22:11The first thing is, like, you need to slow down a bit.

0:22:11 > 0:22:13You need to be more energetic.

0:22:13 > 0:22:16You know, you say Dina talk to you, you like her.

0:22:16 > 0:22:20The way that energy she had, that positive energy, bring that.

0:22:20 > 0:22:22That will be very, very helpful.

0:22:22 > 0:22:27What usually happens is when I'm nervous, I just skip...

0:22:27 > 0:22:30I just speak really, really fast and I skip tonnes of the speech.

0:22:30 > 0:22:34I think I'll have to do a bit, just completely go like,

0:22:34 > 0:22:36"No, slow. No, slow."

0:22:51 > 0:22:54One hour left till I'll be there,

0:22:54 > 0:22:56so two hours left till the launch, basically.

0:23:00 > 0:23:06Posted on social media like, "Ooh, one hour, 43 minutes left till..

0:23:08 > 0:23:09"..the launch."

0:23:13 > 0:23:16We've booked a hotel room in central London for the launch,

0:23:16 > 0:23:19and we want to get there super early to make sure everything is

0:23:19 > 0:23:21just right for the biggest thing I've ever done.

0:23:25 > 0:23:28Ideally, today would go smoothly.

0:23:28 > 0:23:31Everyone would say, "Oh, wow, this is such a great app.

0:23:31 > 0:23:34"I'm going to download it, I'm going to review it,"

0:23:34 > 0:23:37"I'm going to say it's amazing, cos I think it's amazing."

0:23:37 > 0:23:39Worst case scenario, everyone's like,

0:23:39 > 0:23:41"Oh, so this is the app,"

0:23:41 > 0:23:43and are just unimpressed by it,

0:23:43 > 0:23:46and start asking too many questions that I don't know.

0:23:50 > 0:23:52With guests beginning to arrive,

0:23:52 > 0:23:54I'm really starting to feel the pressure.

0:23:54 > 0:23:57And we're just minutes away from my speech.

0:23:57 > 0:24:00- Hi, I'm Kerry from the Anaphylaxis Campaign.- Hi, my name's Kashmea.

0:24:00 > 0:24:03- Really good to meet you.- Thank you so much for being here.- Of course.

0:24:03 > 0:24:05As well as family and friends,

0:24:05 > 0:24:07there's a few industry figures here, too.

0:24:07 > 0:24:11And now is the time for my big moment.

0:24:11 > 0:24:14I don't want Nainika's story to repeat again.

0:24:18 > 0:24:21Hi, everyone. Thank you all for being here to support the launch of

0:24:21 > 0:24:24Speciall today. The sole purpose of the app is to bring the needs of

0:24:24 > 0:24:27certain people centre stage.

0:24:27 > 0:24:30We have decided to dedicate the app to the fantastic children

0:24:30 > 0:24:33at St Giles', and Nainika, a brilliant individual.

0:24:33 > 0:24:36Noticing that there was an overlapping need of information

0:24:36 > 0:24:38about venues on the internet,

0:24:38 > 0:24:41between allergy sufferers as well as wheelchair users,

0:24:41 > 0:24:43the feature allows Speciall to become a platform for multiple

0:24:43 > 0:24:47different charities to showcase any events that they're hosting,

0:24:47 > 0:24:50and also allows any user of the app to join in the fun.

0:24:50 > 0:24:52The whole journey of bringing

0:24:52 > 0:24:55Speciall alive has been an amazing experience. Thank you.

0:24:55 > 0:24:56APPLAUSE

0:25:11 > 0:25:15- Thank you. Good to meet you.- Yeah, best of luck, we'll be in touch.- OK.

0:25:15 > 0:25:17I'm super pleased with how the speech went.

0:25:17 > 0:25:20But there's one person whose feedback means the most to me.

0:25:21 > 0:25:24So, at 12 years of age, you've got this app now,

0:25:24 > 0:25:29it's a great business idea, as well as, it's a very, very noble thing.

0:25:29 > 0:25:33I mean, we as parents of somebody who has suffered from allergies

0:25:33 > 0:25:35all her life... Well, the short life that she lived.

0:25:37 > 0:25:40What sort of feedback have you got and where do you aspire to take this

0:25:40 > 0:25:43app going forward? Or do you have any other ideas in mind?

0:25:43 > 0:25:48Allergies and disabilities are not a thing just specific to UK

0:25:48 > 0:25:51or London, it's just a worldwide issue.

0:25:51 > 0:25:53So, obviously it's nice to make this global.

0:25:53 > 0:25:56Also, when we went to St Giles',

0:25:56 > 0:26:00there was a girl and her first language was Portuguese,

0:26:00 > 0:26:03and so when she just came to London, she didn't know any English.

0:26:03 > 0:26:08So, having the app in different languages, because, again,

0:26:08 > 0:26:10it's a right that people have.

0:26:10 > 0:26:14It's not something that should just be available to English speakers.

0:26:14 > 0:26:17This isn't something I'm going to probably just do throughout

0:26:17 > 0:26:20Year Eight or just throughout school,

0:26:20 > 0:26:25this is something I do want to take for as long as I can, basically.

0:26:25 > 0:26:28I'm really impressed by how prepared you are.

0:26:28 > 0:26:30At 12 years, I don't think I knew what to do.

0:26:30 > 0:26:32Thank you, yeah.

0:26:38 > 0:26:43So, it's been five weeks since the app has been launched,

0:26:43 > 0:26:48and there's been interest in the app because of social media followings.

0:26:51 > 0:26:54So, the feedback from random people that I don't even know has been

0:26:54 > 0:26:58exceptional, because they don't have to be saying those things to me.

0:26:59 > 0:27:03Even if this doesn't work for me, it's like...

0:27:03 > 0:27:06this message is still important for me to get out.

0:27:06 > 0:27:09And if it's not working to get out in this form,

0:27:09 > 0:27:13I'll just have to use another way to get people to know about it.

0:27:17 > 0:27:20I met some amazing people on this journey,

0:27:20 > 0:27:22and even though there's still so much more to do,

0:27:22 > 0:27:25I'm proud my app is finally out there.

0:27:25 > 0:27:29I'm so pleased that soon all of my new friends, like Clara and Alfie,

0:27:29 > 0:27:31will be able to use it.

0:27:31 > 0:27:33And I hope Nainika would be proud of me.
