0:06:06 > 0:06:09The next-door neighbour of the victim

0:06:35 > 0:06:38Hello there. We're hoping to have a quick look in here. Is that possible?
0:06:40 > 0:06:42Peter Tibbles has been a victim of crime in the past.
0:06:42 > 0:06:44Now he has a CCTV system.
0:06:46 > 0:06:48We just hoping we could make an identification straight away.
0:06:48 > 0:06:50Okey doke.
0:06:50 > 0:06:53The officers want to see if Mr Tibbles' surveillance system
0:06:53 > 0:06:55has picked up the burglary next door.
0:06:58 > 0:06:59I was actually out.
0:07:00 > 0:07:02I left just after next door and the first I knew about it
0:07:02 > 0:07:06was when I came back and CID came along.
0:07:06 > 0:07:09I was only out for about an hour. It could have been my house.
0:07:09 > 0:07:10They just door knock.
0:07:10 > 0:07:13If no-one answers they leave it a while and door knock again.
0:07:15 > 0:07:19The camera looks across Mr Tibbles' drive to the low-walled garden
0:07:19 > 0:07:21of his neighbour in the distance.
0:07:22 > 0:07:26These are the guys. You can see this guy's gone straight in.
0:07:26 > 0:07:30- That's the tall one.- The one with the white stripes on his arms.
0:07:30 > 0:07:32He's in there for about a minute, I think it is.
0:07:32 > 0:07:34At 2:15pm that afternoon,
0:07:34 > 0:07:38three figures can be seen going in and out of the burgled house.
0:07:40 > 0:07:44He comes back down. The first guy goes in, the second guy goes in.
0:07:44 > 0:07:47Then a little bit later the third guy goes in.
0:07:48 > 0:07:49They go in with nothing
0:07:49 > 0:07:53and come out carrying the Cranfield family's property.
0:07:54 > 0:07:58- Here we go. I don't think they've come back at all.- OK.
0:07:58 > 0:08:02The burglars have taken just five minutes to break into
0:08:02 > 0:08:05the Cranfields' home, search the ground floor and all three bedrooms,
0:08:05 > 0:08:08then make their getaway.
0:08:08 > 0:08:11The CCTV also shows the police arriving just four minutes later.
0:08:11 > 0:08:15And Mrs Cranfield arriving home with her children
0:08:15 > 0:08:16just 20 minutes after that.
0:08:17 > 0:08:21The footage is not close enough to clearly see their faces.
0:08:21 > 0:08:24It's slightly frustrating, because it's like dangling a carrot.
0:08:24 > 0:08:25Because you get to see them,
0:08:25 > 0:08:28but not clear enough to positively ID them.
0:08:28 > 0:08:31We can look at ID from clothing, from when they were arrested.
0:08:31 > 0:08:34Things that they were wearing when they were arrested.
0:08:34 > 0:08:38Obviously we can match that to the clothing at the scene with the CCTV.
0:08:38 > 0:08:40It's the outstanding one that's the problem, isn't it?
0:08:40 > 0:08:43Let's see if this is any better for you.
0:08:43 > 0:08:44Might be a bit closer.
0:08:44 > 0:08:48Peter has a second camera.
0:08:48 > 0:08:50No, that's not going to be any better, isn't it?
0:08:50 > 0:08:52No, it isn't bad.
0:08:52 > 0:08:53Can you go back a bit?
0:08:54 > 0:08:55That's the sort of quality
0:08:55 > 0:08:57at the very least we could put in a newspaper.
0:09:00 > 0:09:03The shot of the suspects arriving may be only four seconds long,
0:09:03 > 0:09:06but is good enough to clearly see their clothing.
0:09:06 > 0:09:08It does rule out a couple of people I had in mind though,
0:09:08 > 0:09:10to be honest with you.
0:09:10 > 0:09:14It's a remarkable piece of evidence for the investigation.
0:09:14 > 0:09:17If you could sign at the top and bottom. Lovely.
0:09:17 > 0:09:21- Thank you very much.- Thank you for your time.- Thanks for your time.
0:09:23 > 0:09:26The officers take a copy of the CCTV footage as evidence.
0:09:28 > 0:09:32As we have just seen from the CCTV, three males, in broad daylight,
0:09:32 > 0:09:35this is during the day on a busy road.
0:09:35 > 0:09:39Given the weather and time of day, it's quiet now,
0:09:39 > 0:09:43but three males walk up here with quite a pace on.
0:09:43 > 0:09:47They don't appear to look around at all.
0:09:47 > 0:09:48They're not stopping.
0:09:48 > 0:09:50They seem to know where they're going.
0:09:50 > 0:09:54They've then gone in and burgled the house, and then four or five
0:09:54 > 0:09:59minutes later they're seen to walk out with armfuls of property
0:09:59 > 0:10:00and walk out up here.
0:10:02 > 0:10:08There's another busy road at the top and they live probably
0:10:08 > 0:10:11about half a mile that way, so they certainly haven't come far at all.
0:10:13 > 0:10:18And they've made no effort to disguise themselves. It's blatant.
0:10:18 > 0:10:22A blatant burglary going on while lots of people are driving past.
0:10:22 > 0:10:26Fortunately, you have CCTV at the guy's house next door.
0:10:26 > 0:10:29He's got a really good set-up.
0:10:29 > 0:10:30We've got two of the people,
0:10:30 > 0:10:33and hopefully this CCTV will lead us to the third.
0:10:35 > 0:10:38With the clock ticking, the officers head for the station
0:10:38 > 0:10:40to report on this crucial progress in the case.
0:10:45 > 0:10:47Coming up,
0:10:47 > 0:10:51another remarkable discovery gives the case new impetus.
0:10:51 > 0:10:55Before they burgled the place there was a snowman which stood
0:10:55 > 0:10:57around 5ft tall and they started kicking it in.
0:10:57 > 0:11:00There's footprints and shoes have been seized from the suspects.
0:11:00 > 0:11:01We have the footwear and their marks.
0:11:01 > 0:11:04That leaves us with something else to put them at the scene.
0:11:08 > 0:11:11But first, the story of a heart-warming reunion
0:11:11 > 0:11:14in the small village of Easingwold in North Yorkshire.
0:11:15 > 0:11:21Every year, farmer Paul Kaygill shapes his crop of maize
0:11:21 > 0:11:23into a maze and opens his farm to the public.
0:11:23 > 0:11:25Every year, the children, the first thing they do
0:11:25 > 0:11:27is to come down to the goat enclosure.
0:11:27 > 0:11:28We have new ones every year.
0:11:30 > 0:11:33Paul's farm boasts 12 goats, but the star is Daisy.
0:11:35 > 0:11:38A prolific breeder, her latest crop was three kids.
0:11:40 > 0:11:46The children named them - Maisie, Snowy and Billy.
0:11:46 > 0:11:49The really small one was Billy.
0:11:49 > 0:11:51He was like a runt of the litter, really.
0:11:51 > 0:11:54But he was really cute and a bit of a character.
0:11:54 > 0:11:57He was always up first to see anybody.
0:12:01 > 0:12:06As part of his daily routine, Paul closely looked after his goats.
0:12:06 > 0:12:08The kids were just three weeks old.
0:12:09 > 0:12:13Well, I just got up as normal. I get up about 6.30.
0:12:15 > 0:12:17And I went down to check the goats as I did every morning,
0:12:17 > 0:12:21because they usually came out - as soon as I come out of the caravan,
0:12:21 > 0:12:23they'd come out of their little shelter
0:12:25 > 0:12:26I could see they were distressed.
0:12:30 > 0:12:31The mother was bleating.
0:12:34 > 0:12:36And I just couldn't believe it.
0:12:36 > 0:12:38The little ones had gone - the three had gone.
0:12:41 > 0:12:44Paul immediately contacted the police,
0:12:44 > 0:12:47but was mystified why they had been stolen.
0:12:47 > 0:12:50Just cos they're cute, that's all I can see.
0:12:50 > 0:12:53They're not of any great value. It's just unbelievable, really.
0:12:53 > 0:12:55The theft of the three goats
0:12:55 > 0:12:57was also keenly felt by daughter Rebecca.
0:12:57 > 0:13:00Poor things - it's only cos they're so little as well
0:13:00 > 0:13:02and it was horrible.
0:13:02 > 0:13:03It was really hard to describe
0:13:03 > 0:13:06cos it's just such an unusual thing to happen.
0:13:08 > 0:13:10The hardest loss was felt by mother Daisy.
0:13:10 > 0:13:12The mum was crying for days and things like that.
0:13:12 > 0:13:14It was horrible just to hear her
0:13:14 > 0:13:17when we were in the house, just crying.
0:13:17 > 0:13:19It was just awful that we couldn't help her
0:13:19 > 0:13:21and we couldn't do anything to make her any better
0:13:21 > 0:13:23and she wasn't eating and just...
0:13:23 > 0:13:26It wasn't nice, it really wasn't nice.
0:13:27 > 0:13:32News of the theft soon spread and it seemed everybody wanted to help.
0:13:32 > 0:13:35Everyone was so nice about it, like, everyone knew
0:13:35 > 0:13:38and it was just so good that, like, it spread that quickly
0:13:38 > 0:13:40and everyone was like, "We'll keep an eye out,"
0:13:40 > 0:13:42and it was nice to know we had the support of the community.
0:13:42 > 0:13:46A woman up from Cumbria who couldn't sleep, she said, when I'd lost them.
0:13:46 > 0:13:50Yeah, she was rooting for them.
0:13:50 > 0:13:53The three stolen goats were still surviving on their mother's milk -
0:13:53 > 0:13:57the situation could have tragic consequences.
0:13:57 > 0:14:00Unless the thieves had an idea of how to look after goats,
0:14:00 > 0:14:03I didn't think they'd survive more than a few days.
0:14:03 > 0:14:05I thought that would be the end of it.
0:14:05 > 0:14:09Despite having little to go on, the police launched their investigation
0:14:09 > 0:14:12into who had stolen the three goats.
0:14:13 > 0:14:16As the weeks slipped by, hope was fading.
0:14:16 > 0:14:19The police had rung me up a couple of times,
0:14:19 > 0:14:21thought they'd had tip-offs that they were somewhere
0:14:21 > 0:14:23but they didn't materialise, so...
0:14:23 > 0:14:25Yeah, we had our hopes built up a couple of times, actually,
0:14:25 > 0:14:27but nothing came of it.
0:14:29 > 0:14:31The police, like, they were looking for so long
0:14:31 > 0:14:34that they said they were officially giving up looking.
0:14:40 > 0:14:43After seven long agonising weeks,
0:14:43 > 0:14:46Paul Caygill suddenly received a call from the police.
0:14:46 > 0:14:50They said, um, "I think we've got your goats."
0:14:52 > 0:14:54I came home and Dad was, like, coming through the gate
0:14:54 > 0:14:56with this massive smile and I was like, "What?"
0:14:56 > 0:14:58And he was like, "They've found the goats." I was like...
0:14:58 > 0:15:00I came through and they were here.
0:15:03 > 0:15:06It was just... It was really good. It was so shocking.
0:15:06 > 0:15:11Amazingly, a taxi driver who'd heard about the goats on local TV
0:15:11 > 0:15:16found them wandering 30 miles away on a street in Middlesbrough.
0:15:16 > 0:15:18It was awful, really.
0:15:18 > 0:15:21Bellies were absolutely, just, blown up, it was not nice to see.
0:15:21 > 0:15:24They looked really, like, unhealthy. They looked like they had worms,
0:15:24 > 0:15:27their fur was like dreadlocks, really, on a goat.
0:15:27 > 0:15:29It was awful just to see it, and they just didn't look well,
0:15:29 > 0:15:33their eyes looked dull. They didn't look healthy at all.
0:15:33 > 0:15:35They were grubby, they were all dark and...
0:15:35 > 0:15:37I don't know, they were right oily.
0:15:37 > 0:15:39Dark, real dirty coloured.
0:15:39 > 0:15:42Especially little Billy. Where's he gone now?
0:15:42 > 0:15:45He's still got a big tummy on him,
0:15:45 > 0:15:48but we've got 'em back and that was it. Fantastic.
0:15:49 > 0:15:52Although malnourished and in bad condition,
0:15:52 > 0:15:54it only took a couple of days for mother Daisy
0:15:54 > 0:15:57to start to bring her three goats back to health.
0:15:58 > 0:16:04My family were absolutely elated and chuffed when they came back,
0:16:04 > 0:16:05yeah, they really were.
0:16:15 > 0:16:18Earlier in Southend, Essex, we saw police start to build a case
0:16:18 > 0:16:22against two teenagers arrested in possession of stolen goods
0:16:22 > 0:16:24and CCTV from the next-door neighbour,
0:16:24 > 0:16:26capturing the burglary as it happened,
0:16:26 > 0:16:29has given officers remarkable evidence.
0:16:29 > 0:16:32First guy goes in, second guy goes in
0:16:32 > 0:16:36and a little bit later the third guy goes in and stays there.
0:16:38 > 0:16:42It's 9.30am the next day. The police have just seven hours
0:16:42 > 0:16:45to charge the two suspects in custody or let them go.
0:16:48 > 0:16:51Officers Mark Sawyer, Reece Brent
0:16:51 > 0:16:54and Sergeant Ian Howitt pick up the investigation.
0:16:54 > 0:16:56Here, boys. Hot off the press.
0:16:58 > 0:17:00Excuse me, please.
0:17:02 > 0:17:03How many camera angles have we got?
0:17:03 > 0:17:06This is the entire footage of what we got,
0:17:06 > 0:17:09so there's, I think, a couple of angles.
0:17:09 > 0:17:12They want to analyse the CCTV, looking for firm evidence
0:17:12 > 0:17:17to link those caught on film with the suspects in the cells.
0:17:17 > 0:17:20There we go. Oh, that's good.
0:17:22 > 0:17:24Where's the target premises in relation?
0:17:24 > 0:17:26- That's it - it's the next one there. - This is here, yeah.
0:17:26 > 0:17:28Try and slow it down a little bit.
0:17:28 > 0:17:30They know exactly what the suspects were wearing
0:17:30 > 0:17:32when they were arrested.
0:17:32 > 0:17:35And that's the Adidas stripe, isn't it, that goes up to the door?
0:17:35 > 0:17:38Yeah, then all three...
0:17:38 > 0:17:41One guy goes in, the other one goes in.
0:17:41 > 0:17:43And that's Mr Adidas top, isn't it?
0:17:43 > 0:17:46- What, that's just gone in?- Yeah. - Let's see if we can just take it back a second.
0:17:46 > 0:17:49I'm sure it was, yeah, it was the one with the stripe on the sleeve.
0:17:49 > 0:17:53Yeah, that's top man. Adidas top man and him.
0:17:53 > 0:17:58- Where is this other angle?- Right, let's have a look at the other angle.
0:17:58 > 0:18:01And the second camera angle gives an even better view.
0:18:01 > 0:18:04This is going to be the exciting one.
0:18:04 > 0:18:06The clip's quite quick.
0:18:06 > 0:18:09You know, I need to see the clothing.
0:18:09 > 0:18:11There is something else on the CCTV.
0:18:11 > 0:18:14Just before they break into the house,
0:18:14 > 0:18:17the burglars appear to kick down a snowman.
0:18:17 > 0:18:20One's gone up there and one's there.
0:18:20 > 0:18:22The snowman's just had his head kicked in.
0:18:22 > 0:18:26Look how brazen they are with all the vehicles. I mean...
0:18:26 > 0:18:29The detectives must gather every scrap of evidence
0:18:29 > 0:18:33if they're to get the all-clear to charge the suspects with burglary.
0:18:35 > 0:18:37So Officer Forbes returns to the property
0:18:37 > 0:18:39and the spot where the snowman once stood.
0:18:41 > 0:18:44It's seen on the CCTV in the area that three guys
0:18:44 > 0:18:47matching the description of the two that we've got in custody,
0:18:47 > 0:18:50before they burgled the place, there was a snowman that stood around 5ft tall
0:18:50 > 0:18:53and they started kicking it in, for some unknown reason,
0:18:53 > 0:18:56and once they'd kicked it in, there were footprints found in there
0:18:56 > 0:18:58so the footprints have had photographs taken of
0:18:58 > 0:19:01by the scenes of crime officers
0:19:01 > 0:19:03and the footwear has been seized from the suspect,
0:19:03 > 0:19:05so we've got their footwear and we've got their footwear marks,
0:19:05 > 0:19:08so it's just something else to put them to the scene.
0:19:11 > 0:19:12Back at the station,
0:19:12 > 0:19:16Officer Forbes gets the suspects' shoes for scanning.
0:19:18 > 0:19:24We scan the footprints on to our system and then they get sent off
0:19:24 > 0:19:28to our footwear comparison department up at headquarters.
0:19:28 > 0:19:30The tread pattern is all different on individuals,
0:19:30 > 0:19:33so from the bottom of that shoe you can see different wear patterns -
0:19:33 > 0:19:36he obviously walks a lot more on his tiptoes,
0:19:36 > 0:19:38so you can see a wear on the fronts
0:19:38 > 0:19:40and right on the back corners as well.
0:19:40 > 0:19:42So he looks like he walks a lot more on the front of his shoes,
0:19:42 > 0:19:45and just looking around it, you can see bits of stones kept in it,
0:19:45 > 0:19:47the wear pattern at the bottom left-hand corner is gone.
0:19:47 > 0:19:49If we do find a good footprint,
0:19:49 > 0:19:52we can see how the wear is as well and we can match it up to these.
0:19:52 > 0:19:54Lovely, cheers, Reece.
0:19:54 > 0:19:56Now he must wait until the forensics department
0:19:56 > 0:19:59reports back with any possible match.
0:20:03 > 0:20:07There are just a few hours remaining to charge the suspects
0:20:07 > 0:20:10or they will have to release them.
0:20:10 > 0:20:13The solicitor, dad and ...
0:20:13 > 0:20:17have gone into a consultation.
0:20:17 > 0:20:21We've got CCTV and we want to show it to ...
0:20:21 > 0:20:22and ask him questions.
0:20:22 > 0:20:26They're now contemplating what they're going to do
0:20:26 > 0:20:28and then when we get the call to say that they're ready,
0:20:28 > 0:20:31we'll go back down and conduct the interview
0:20:31 > 0:20:34and hopefully we might get something out of it.
0:20:38 > 0:20:43It's now critical the police lines of enquiry start to pay off.
0:20:43 > 0:20:47PC Sawyer receives a call about the shoe print.
0:20:47 > 0:20:49Oh, right, OK. Lovely, lovely.
0:20:49 > 0:20:56But for purposes of, just, talking to CPS tonight,
0:20:56 > 0:20:59would you be able to knock up a little...
0:20:59 > 0:21:03Just, like, a little paragraph, statement-type thing, or...?
0:21:04 > 0:21:06Same pattern type, yeah, yeah, yeah.
0:21:06 > 0:21:10Oh, no, that's fair enough, yeah, that's a starter for ten. Lovely.
0:21:10 > 0:21:12Cheers, thanks, bye.
0:21:15 > 0:21:16Get in there, get in there!
0:21:16 > 0:21:20Preliminary results do link the footprint in the snowman
0:21:20 > 0:21:22with one of the suspects.
0:21:25 > 0:21:27The suspects refused to co-operate,
0:21:27 > 0:21:30despite knowing of the CCTV pictures.
0:21:33 > 0:21:36With time ticking on,
0:21:36 > 0:21:39the investigation gets another break -
0:21:39 > 0:21:43the neighbour who first spotted the break-in and called 999
0:21:43 > 0:21:47has come in to see an identity parade.
0:21:47 > 0:21:50The neighbour confirms the two suspects
0:21:50 > 0:21:52were at the scene of the burglary.
0:21:52 > 0:21:56Their clothing also seems to match the images on the CCTV.
0:21:56 > 0:21:58The investigating officers
0:21:58 > 0:22:01can now present their evidence to their legal team.
0:22:01 > 0:22:05The case details are reported to the Crown Prosecution Service.
0:22:07 > 0:22:11Now they must wait, hopeful they've done enough.
0:22:14 > 0:22:19In respect of the 14-year-old, we're in a really good position.
0:22:19 > 0:22:25We have got a witness that has positively identified him
0:22:25 > 0:22:29as being the one responsible for breaking into the premises.
0:22:29 > 0:22:33This has also been captured on CCTV.
0:22:33 > 0:22:36The other lad, his clothing matches the person
0:22:36 > 0:22:40who we believe to be him on the CCTV.
0:22:40 > 0:22:44That person is seen to kick this snowman
0:22:44 > 0:22:46and left a footprint at the scene,
0:22:46 > 0:22:50a Nike trainer made the print on the snowman.
0:22:50 > 0:22:54The lad that been arrested was wearing a Nike trainer
0:22:54 > 0:23:00that has the same pattern on the sole. It's very strong evidence.
0:23:01 > 0:23:05Just one hour before the deadline expires,
0:23:05 > 0:23:08officers get a call from the CPS telling them to charge the suspects.
0:23:08 > 0:23:12We're going to charge you with the offence below,
0:23:12 > 0:23:14so you do not have to say anything but it may harm your defence
0:23:14 > 0:23:17if you do not mention now something which you later rely on in court.
0:23:17 > 0:23:21Anything you do say may be given in evidence.
0:23:21 > 0:23:25It's very satisfying to be able to now phone the victim
0:23:25 > 0:23:27and let her know that they've both been charged
0:23:27 > 0:23:30and they'll be spending the night with us
0:23:30 > 0:23:31until court in the morning.
0:23:31 > 0:23:34OK, Mrs Cranfield, yeah, I've got some good news for you.
0:23:34 > 0:23:37The two lads that we arrested,
0:23:37 > 0:23:41- they've both been charged with the burglary.- Right.
0:23:41 > 0:23:45And, basically, that means now that they're both being remanded
0:23:45 > 0:23:49in police custody and put before the courts in the morning.
0:23:58 > 0:24:02Although it's evidence, the team is keen to reunite her
0:24:02 > 0:24:04with the stolen items as soon as possible.
0:24:04 > 0:24:07We believe this to be the property belonging to the victim.
0:24:07 > 0:24:09It matches the description to a T,
0:24:09 > 0:24:12so rather than us hang on to it longer than we need to,
0:24:12 > 0:24:14the victim's obviously got some young kids -
0:24:14 > 0:24:16they won't be able to last a couple of months
0:24:16 > 0:24:20without their DSs and things. I'm taking photos of the exhibits that have been seized.
0:24:20 > 0:24:23The photo's going to be my exhibit and I'm going to get the property
0:24:23 > 0:24:27returned to the owners and I'm going to get them to sign a declaration
0:24:27 > 0:24:28to say that if we did need it for court,
0:24:28 > 0:24:31they're not going to sell it, swap it or dispose of it.
0:24:34 > 0:24:36The last job for Officer Forbes
0:24:36 > 0:24:39is to take the items back to the Cranfields.
0:24:39 > 0:24:43Remarkably, all within just 48 hours of the theft taking place.
0:24:45 > 0:24:47But as one suspect is still missing,
0:24:47 > 0:24:51he can't be sure that all the stolen items have been found.
0:24:56 > 0:24:58Hi.
0:24:58 > 0:25:00What am going to do is show you all the stuff.
0:25:00 > 0:25:03I just want you to say, "Yeah, it's mine," or, "No, it's not."
0:25:06 > 0:25:08- Is that yours? - Yeah, yeah, that's my basket.
0:25:08 > 0:25:11- That one?- Yeah...- That's got "Bunny" written on it, obviously.
0:25:11 > 0:25:14- This is the big one. - Yeah, or hopefully.
0:25:14 > 0:25:15Yeah, that's her laptop.
0:25:15 > 0:25:18I remember her saying that she had a damaged hinge.
0:25:18 > 0:25:21- Yeah, it was a damaged hinge.- Yeah.
0:25:21 > 0:25:24- Yeah, so you've got the candles and stuff.- Oh, fantastic.
0:25:24 > 0:25:27- No, that's not mine. - That's not yours, no?- No.
0:25:27 > 0:25:29I would have thought a bag like that
0:25:29 > 0:25:31is quite easy for them to pop into their pockets.
0:25:31 > 0:25:34Yeah, they've obviously come prepared. When they were brought in,
0:25:34 > 0:25:37they had a number of pairs of gloves on them anyway,
0:25:37 > 0:25:40so they stick their gloves on, come in, put them back in their pocket.
0:25:40 > 0:25:42Plus, with the weather, it's ideal, isn't it?
0:25:42 > 0:25:45Why have you got gloves on you? "Cos it's cold." Simple, isn't it?
0:25:45 > 0:25:47All the stolen items have been returned.
0:25:47 > 0:25:51Now the Cranfields can put this nightmare behind them.
0:25:51 > 0:25:55Dog's not hurt, we're not hurt and we got all our stuff back,
0:25:55 > 0:25:57- which is amazing, isn't it? - It's a nice result,
0:25:57 > 0:25:58- to get the property back. - That quick.
0:25:58 > 0:26:00I mean, the lady across the road...
0:26:00 > 0:26:02She's been a star, the lady opposite,
0:26:02 > 0:26:04and also the one next door with the cameras as well.
0:26:04 > 0:26:05They've been really good as well.
0:26:05 > 0:26:07I mean, to be fair, without the cameras and her,
0:26:07 > 0:26:09they would have got away with it.
0:26:09 > 0:26:13And with that, Officer Forbes' job is done.
0:26:13 > 0:26:15- Thank you so much.- That's all right.
0:26:15 > 0:26:18- Cheers, thank you.- No worries.
0:26:25 > 0:26:28The two young men pleaded guilty to burglary.
0:26:31 > 0:26:34Both received a six-month youth rehabilitation order...
0:26:37 > 0:26:40..and were given a three-month curfew.
0:26:42 > 0:26:45The thieves who took three pygmy goats were never found.
0:26:45 > 0:26:47Why the kids were stolen and how they lasted
0:26:47 > 0:26:52for so long without their mother's milk remains a mystery.
0:26:52 > 0:26:55Billy, Snowy and Maisie, however, are now all doing well.
0:26:55 > 0:26:59It was really lucky. So it was nice to get them back.
