:22:08. > :22:12.nine-and-a-half stone Matt. He's come to Bristol to train alongside
:22:12. > :22:19.former body builder Scott. Hello. Good morning.
:22:19. > :22:25.Come in. I like the place, mate, I'm jealous.
:22:25. > :22:33.Very jealous. How are you finding the training? I did miss a couple
:22:33. > :22:38.due to slack work. I would start at 11.00am and finish at 8.00pm, I
:22:38. > :22:43.should have gone in the morning. Rome wasn't built in day, 99% of
:22:43. > :22:46.people who don't stay consistent won't change. It is that
:22:46. > :22:49.consistency. Welcome to Scott's world. This is where the big boys
:22:49. > :22:53.come to lift big weights. Do you think people will be thinking as
:22:53. > :22:56.you walk out? God knows, I don't want to think about what they are
:22:56. > :23:06.thinking, probably, what the hell is he doing here, little man, shit
:23:06. > :23:14.
:23:14. > :23:17.like that! Now what do I do? all the weight on your heels, so
:23:18. > :23:25.you are not leaning forward, you are sunk back into it, drop the
:23:25. > :23:33.body weight backwards, so you are in a squat position, drive up.
:23:33. > :23:38.Back nice and straight Me lifting 30 with him next to me, made me
:23:38. > :23:44.feel like an idiot. All the boys in here are 20-times the size of me,
:23:44. > :23:52.everyone has to start somewhere. Carvery across the road, three days
:23:52. > :23:59.a week they do unlimited breakfast for 3.49. It is not just the
:23:59. > :24:08.weights, Matt has to get used to eating like a body builder.
:24:08. > :24:13.cheesebugers and eggs, please. meals are strictly off the menu for
:24:13. > :24:19.Scott. The slim breakfast without the cashes. See all the things I
:24:19. > :24:23.can't eat. Everything on that counter. Conversation turns to the
:24:23. > :24:27.other half during breakfast? missus is doing veryle well, she's
:24:27. > :24:32.in The Sportswriter, and a couple of people from Playboy have got in
:24:32. > :24:38.touch with her to go for an interview. What do you think about
:24:38. > :24:42.Carley modelling? I don't like her doing it, it fucks me off watching
:24:42. > :24:49.another bloke taking pictures of my missus topless. It is like being on
:24:49. > :24:54.a beach, what he sees in the newspaper is on the street. The
:24:54. > :24:57.thing you have to get in your head, when you get your physical body
:24:57. > :25:03.right, she goes home every night with you. It is a security issue.
:25:03. > :25:08.After a month of training, all of the men have received the second
:25:08. > :25:12.stage of their diet and exercise plans. Nick and Matt are being
:25:12. > :25:17.asked to consume 6,500 calories a day, while Scott and Martin have
:25:17. > :25:24.had their food intake cut to around 2,500 calories.
:25:24. > :25:28.All of the men are being asked to work even harder in the gym. More,
:25:28. > :25:32.more, rest. But Mark Anthony has become concerned about Martin's
:25:32. > :25:36.cheating. You know, if he wants that trim line athletic look, then
:25:37. > :25:41.he has to believe in the programme that I have set him, because this
:25:41. > :25:44.programme will really shift a lot of body fat, it will shift body fat
:25:44. > :25:47.fast. We take him out of the environment he's in, put him in a
:25:48. > :25:54.gym where he's actually the biggest, I think that's going to really
:25:54. > :26:00.shake him up. To help him reach his target of losing two stone, Mark
:26:00. > :26:04.has arranged for Martin to train at a very different type of gym.
:26:04. > :26:09.Jason. Martin. Breathe out as you are coming up, how are you feeling.
:26:09. > :26:14.Nice and easy. It is a bit quiet in here, it is
:26:14. > :26:20.bloody quiet. Where is all the testosterone here, God knows. I
:26:20. > :26:26.haven't got it any more. I saw a guy wearing a pair of jeans,
:26:26. > :26:32.shit, there should be a policy, you know. The gyms that I have been so,
:26:32. > :26:35.Jesus Christ, dumbbells going up to 80kg, people dead-lifting weight
:26:35. > :26:43.that humanely not be possible. I come in here today, people playing
:26:43. > :26:48.with their phones. So, fuck, man. How are you doing. After his
:26:48. > :26:55.workout, Martin has a date with girlfriend Janie. Are you OK? What
:26:55. > :26:59.have you been doing? Training. Check out.
:26:59. > :27:03.Oh please. No? How was everything today?
:27:03. > :27:07.is no noise, nobody doing nothing. It is good, it makes you
:27:07. > :27:11.concentrate. I was concentrating on the quietness, that is what you
:27:11. > :27:15.don't understand. Put headphones in. I have to listen to Jason. A gym is
:27:15. > :27:19.a gym. It has weights, that is why you go there. You will never
:27:19. > :27:23.understand. I will, I used to go to the gym, I like going to gyms that
:27:23. > :27:27.are quiet. You are not dead-lifting, and clean and pressing weights
:27:27. > :27:31.above your head. It doesn't matter, a gym is a gym, if you are going to
:27:31. > :27:34.use a tread mill or weights, gym is a gym, you are going through to get
:27:34. > :27:39.fit, not show off and start dancing and showing off your muscles to
:27:39. > :27:42.other people, like some sad person. What these! We are not in primary
:27:42. > :27:50.school any more. I don't know, you are too rude to me. Why? Because
:27:50. > :27:54.you are. You have no manners whatsoever.
:27:54. > :28:04.Whilst Martin is struggling to keep to his plan, Scott is giving his
:28:04. > :28:32.
:28:32. > :28:38.all. I'm going to be sick! Are you OK, mate? That's me done.
:28:38. > :28:46.That was all I had. Pushing himself to the limit is a trait that Scott
:28:46. > :28:49.gets from his dad. What's the bet going to be, a pound? It should be,
:28:49. > :28:56.I don't want to take money off the elderly, or put a hip out swinging
:28:56. > :29:01.this, he's not as young as me any more. My father influenced me
:29:01. > :29:07.heavily growing up. How many balls have we got? Not enough for you to
:29:07. > :29:11.improve. My father had quite an alpha male ethose, it was always a
:29:11. > :29:15.battle to be faster or stronger than him. It was drummed in at a
:29:15. > :29:20.young age, that physical prowess was to be taken on board. With
:29:20. > :29:26.Scott, the idea of growing up is to see what level you can reach. Every
:29:26. > :29:33.child needs a competitive spirit, we can't always be equal, there has
:29:33. > :29:43.to be the best and there has to be the worst. I think sometimes play
:29:43. > :29:44.
:29:44. > :29:49.to win is important. Nearly half way through training,
:29:49. > :29:54.Matt's diet plan of two weight-gain shakes and five meals every day is
:29:54. > :29:59.proving to be a problem. I can't mix that one well enough. This week
:29:59. > :30:03.has been a bad week, I have only been to the gym once, and I needing
:30:03. > :30:07.to once again this afternoon. Purely because I have managed to
:30:07. > :30:13.mess up some hours at work. As well as his job in the call centre, Matt
:30:13. > :30:19.also has to look after his one- year-old daughter. Fortunately,
:30:19. > :30:22.girlfriend Carley is on hand to help. I'm going to get up at 6.00
:30:22. > :30:27.and make his breakfast and lunch for him. As long as I take control
:30:27. > :30:30.of it, everything is going pretty good. It is a great help having her
:30:30. > :30:35.help prepare my meals and stuff like that f it is there in front of
:30:35. > :30:39.me, there is no two ways I can say no about it, she can cook as well,
:30:39. > :30:42.it always tastes better when somebody else cooks for you. It is
:30:42. > :30:50.like having another child, but it has always been that way, it is
:30:50. > :30:55.nothing different. Trainer Mark Anthony may be less
:30:55. > :31:03.forgiving, Matt goes for a check up. Fat weight has gone up from 2.7
:31:03. > :31:08.kilos to 4.7. We have actually increased muscle mass by only 0.4
:31:08. > :31:13.of a kilo, but you have put on two kilos of body fat. That is not good.
:31:13. > :31:16.It should be so much better, Matt. Although Matt's weight has
:31:16. > :31:19.increased, it is mostly fat, suggesting he's not working out
:31:19. > :31:24.enough to turn the extra calories into muscle. Because you are tired
:31:24. > :31:31.at the end of the day, and because you want to see the little-un, do
:31:31. > :31:36.you miss the workouts? I do. course you fucking do. Yes.
:31:36. > :31:39.Absolutely, how many workouts? Quite a few, I need to get it in at
:31:39. > :31:44.lunch, I have the fucking hour at lunch I need to get it in there.
:31:44. > :31:47.You can't lie to me any more. You really can't, this is you now we're
:31:47. > :31:51.talking about, we're investing time in you. So no more telling me
:31:51. > :31:55.bullshit in any way at all. I want the truth, and if you have missed a
:31:55. > :31:58.workout, you better tell me. won't be missing one. He's clearly
:31:58. > :32:03.frustrated, I think he expected a miracle without putting in the
:32:03. > :32:07.effort, and this is the problem. To gain muscle, Matt really needs
:32:07. > :32:13.to feed up. Scott has been called upon to help, with his wealth of
:32:13. > :32:21.experience in mass consumption. How are we doing. Are you all right.
:32:21. > :32:31.Come on in. Freezing. Carley Scott, Scott,
:32:31. > :32:31.
:32:32. > :32:36.Carley. Hello, good. How much of the whole thing would
:32:36. > :32:41.you get in that you see? I thought I was eating loads, but nowhere
:32:41. > :32:47.near. We should do is go out and get you a blender, we can try a few
:32:47. > :32:55.things, chicken, mozzarella, tomato, avocado, you would be surprised
:32:55. > :32:59.what blended food will taste like. Matt is about to be surprised by
:32:59. > :33:03.Scott's speciality a chicken, mozzarella and pesto smoothie.
:33:03. > :33:06.can't imagine that would be nice. When you can't get a certain amount
:33:06. > :33:11.of calories in you, obviously you will not grow or gain. This is an
:33:11. > :33:21.easy way, sometimes, of making sure that at least those newtents are
:33:21. > :33:22.
:33:22. > :33:30.going in. -- NUTants are going in.
:33:30. > :33:36.-- nutrients are going in. Shit, oh. If you mix the potatoes
:33:36. > :33:42.with butter you will get mashed potatoes. It is making me gag.
:33:42. > :33:47.really like that, it is healthy drink. I prefer to brink drink that
:33:47. > :33:57.than eggs. I can't physically fucking drink
:33:57. > :33:57.
:33:57. > :34:07.After their liquid lunch, Scott joins Matt and Carley for a family
:34:07. > :34:09.
:34:09. > :34:13.outing. It makes me miss my little girl, it
:34:13. > :34:17.reinforces how amazing it is to be a parent, and how certain pursuits
:34:17. > :34:25.can be selfish. It has made me think more and more how important
:34:25. > :34:29.it is for me to have done this. Seeing Matt with his partner and
:34:29. > :34:35.having the quality time they have together to watch their child go,
:34:35. > :34:39.yes. I'm completely envious of him, he even vees minusles, but if I
:34:39. > :34:49.could have somebody like this to share my life with, I would swap in
:34:49. > :34:52.
:34:52. > :34:56.a heart beat, this is quality and For student Nick, it is the part of
:34:56. > :35:00.his final year at Cardiff University. I have been looking
:35:00. > :35:03.forward to getting back for a while, summer gets boring at home. It was
:35:03. > :35:07.good seeing all my friends and stuff, but I was ready to get back
:35:07. > :35:11.now. Trying to fit training around his
:35:11. > :35:21.university social life is already taking its toll.
:35:21. > :35:22.
:35:22. > :35:28.Just really tired. I might throw up in a bit. I shouldn't have gone out
:35:28. > :35:32.last night, really. To check up on his progress, Mark
:35:32. > :35:36.has come to Cardiff to pay Nick a visit. How are you getting on?
:35:36. > :35:40.picked the worst day to come down there. I think last night was a big
:35:40. > :35:45.one. I didn't drink, but it was a late one. A late one. I haven't had
:35:45. > :35:51.much sleep, but it is fine, I will push myself harder now. Give me
:35:51. > :35:56.five more reps, smooth and in rhythm. He should be smashing these
:35:56. > :35:59.workouts, not feeling sorry for himself, due to the fact he has had
:35:59. > :36:06.three-and-a-half hours sleep. That really pisses me off, really. He
:36:06. > :36:10.has to stay focused and push forward.
:36:10. > :36:15.Let's have a look in the fridge, first. Literally, there is nothing.
:36:15. > :36:18.We have tomorrow peppers. Some stuff. And some eggs. Back at
:36:19. > :36:26.Nick's house, Mark is seeing if he's sticking to his diet. And this
:36:26. > :36:30.one. I don't feel you are consuming
:36:30. > :36:34.6,500 calories, there is no way you are doing that. I'm not. If you
:36:34. > :36:38.were consuming it t I would see it right here. Everywhere I would look
:36:38. > :36:42.I would see it T I don't think we are consuming half that. We have to
:36:42. > :36:51.be right on this now. It is food, food, food. You have
:36:51. > :36:55.got to feed the machine. Yeah, I get you.
:36:55. > :36:59.With the clock counting down, Mark is checking on the progress of
:36:59. > :37:03.wannabe personal trainer, Martin. What I get from it is everything is
:37:04. > :37:08.cool, is that the case? That is what I get from him. I spoke to him
:37:08. > :37:17.on Sunday, I believe, yeah, I'll see you tomorrow, raring to go. And
:37:17. > :37:22.then, right, 9.00, where are you? All good? I'm in the zone. Well,
:37:22. > :37:27.obviously the zone is where I want you to be. But, I want you to be in
:37:27. > :37:32.the zone all the time. That means all the fucking time, Martin. I
:37:32. > :37:36.mean it. It really, really does. I have had a chat with Jason, and he
:37:36. > :37:39.has concerns, so let's cut the bullshit, we miss a session he will
:37:40. > :37:48.tell me and I will come back down here as well. I will. I appreciate
:37:48. > :37:52.that. With Martin struggling to keep to
:37:52. > :37:56.his programme, sports doctor Kay Brennan wants to talk to him.
:37:56. > :38:05.there any of the parts of outside of the gym that you challenge
:38:06. > :38:10.yourself in? In terms of ...Anything? This new fitness.
:38:10. > :38:16.Ignore fitness. Ignore the gym totally. Ignore the gym totally,
:38:16. > :38:20.what other parts of life do you challenge yourself in? Yeah. There
:38:20. > :38:26.is nothing? There is nothing, really, to be honest. Is it really
:38:26. > :38:31.making you happy? You know, the buzz that I get I want to be able
:38:31. > :38:35.to give that buzz to someone back. That's why I want to become a
:38:35. > :38:40.personal trainer. My worry, and I feed back my worry, is that all
:38:40. > :38:44.there is is the gym. There is nothing else. Yeah, it has
:38:44. > :38:48.distracted me, and at uni. I think it is more than a distraction. It
:38:48. > :38:51.is like any addiction, addiction is not doing something a lot, and
:38:51. > :38:57.that's it, it is having an unhealthy relationship with
:38:57. > :39:02.something. You have an unhealthy relationship with the gym. I have
:39:02. > :39:05.always called the gym my first house, you know, where I go home at
:39:05. > :39:12.night is the place to sleep to be restful and cook for the gym. Which
:39:12. > :39:19.is crazy. That's how it was. She obviously sees that I'm a addicted
:39:19. > :39:22.to it. Take your top off and we will jump
:39:22. > :39:26.on the scale and see where we currently are.
:39:26. > :39:31.It is time for Scott's check-up, when he started training seven
:39:31. > :39:35.weeks ago, he was set the target of losing two stone, 13 kilos of pure
:39:35. > :39:38.muscle. We are still 4.7 kilo off target weight. As long as you keep
:39:38. > :39:46.this up and this momentum of exercise up as well, I think you
:39:46. > :39:51.are going to crush it! With Scott close to hitting his final target,
:39:51. > :39:56.weeks ahead of schedule, Dr Kay has concerns. Tell me how you have been
:39:56. > :40:01.finding it so far? Now, the fitter I get the more I want to do. I'm
:40:01. > :40:07.itching to get a lot fitter. I feel like I like the changes I'm seeing
:40:07. > :40:12.now, and I want that to continue. You don't really rest, you have to
:40:12. > :40:17.sit down and do nothing, I would love it if that was one of your
:40:17. > :40:24.goals, which was to rest. I have never ever thought of whether I do,
:40:24. > :40:32.even at home, if I'm sat on the sofa or looking at DVDsam 6 I
:40:32. > :40:41.chilling, I'm always on the phone - - amI chilling, I would agree, I
:40:41. > :40:44.don't ever chill. I'm hard on myself, I feel if I don't succeed
:40:45. > :40:48.I'm happy. The need to be the biggest, best or leanest, or suffer
:40:48. > :40:54.the most, or be sick the most when I'm training, or run the furthest,
:40:54. > :40:58.it has always been a self release for me, it makes me feel good about
:40:58. > :41:04.myself, that self-worth is important to me. Nowhere did Scott
:41:04. > :41:08.push himself harder than when competing as a body builder. It is
:41:08. > :41:12.some feat to be that big, but you are competing yourself against the
:41:12. > :41:18.iron in the gym and the food on the table. Preparing for a body
:41:18. > :41:21.building show reeked havoc in his relationship with ex-girlfriend,
:41:22. > :41:25.Caprice. When he was dieting for a competition that he did last year,
:41:25. > :41:29.it got to the point where he was eating nearly every hour-and-a-half.
:41:29. > :41:33.So we couldn't go out for the day. If we went out he would have to
:41:33. > :41:36.stop, and you just couldn't get into anything, really. I didn't
:41:36. > :41:41.realise it was a very selfish pursuit I was doing, and my
:41:41. > :41:47.girlfriend would say, you're moody, or God, you need to eat some cashes,
:41:47. > :41:52.thing is, maybe I -- cars, I should have. When he was into the diet I
:41:52. > :41:58.saw a different side to him. I wasn't used to him snap, I did
:41:58. > :42:05.notice him snap ago bit. And I -- snapping a bit. And I thought,
:42:05. > :42:10.that's not right, you don't snap at me. It was a direct result of my
:42:10. > :42:12.body building that the relationship broke, if I had the choice of
:42:12. > :42:20.having the relationship or stepping on stage, I would never step on
:42:20. > :42:25.stage. After nine weeks, it is time for
:42:25. > :42:30.the mens' programmes to be upped for the final time. The muscle men
:42:30. > :42:34.have been put to five sessions a week of intense cardio, they are
:42:34. > :42:38.only allowed to consume 2,000 calories a day. Whilst the skinny
:42:38. > :42:41.boys have now got five sessions a week of pumping iron, and are
:42:41. > :42:47.having to eat close to 7,000 calories a day.
:42:47. > :42:52.But Matt is falling even further behind. He hasn't really put the
:42:52. > :42:54.effort in that I hoped he would. And it makes me angry, it makes me
:42:54. > :42:59.angry because not everybody gets opportunities to do things like
:42:59. > :43:05.this. I think what makes me disappointed is the lack of
:43:05. > :43:08.motivation and he doesn't seem to have that passion and that sparkle.
:43:08. > :43:12.I'm not having a go, do you feel like you have done everything you
:43:12. > :43:15.absolutely can do? No, not at the moment, with work at the moment it
:43:15. > :43:20.is hard. I really want to see you happy, and to see you happy you
:43:20. > :43:26.have to be happy with your own performance. To do that you have to
:43:26. > :43:31.push yourself. Basically I have to become more motivated and less lazy,
:43:31. > :43:36.it is what I have to do, innit. Thank you, it means a lot to me
:43:36. > :43:41.that you realise how important it is to me for you to make something
:43:41. > :43:45.of yourself, and do something. Maybe I have made it too easy for
:43:45. > :43:49.him, and given him everything he really needs, I need him to up his
:43:49. > :43:55.game and show me what he wants from life, and hopefully it is a bit
:43:55. > :44:01.more what I want from life. 12 weeks ago, two skinny boys, and
:44:01. > :44:07.two muscle men came to London to change their bodies.
:44:07. > :44:14.Over the past three months, they have pushed themselves in the gym.
:44:14. > :44:18.Confronted their bad habits, and taken their diets to the extreme.
:44:18. > :44:24.Now they are returning to London to show their mentors what they have
:44:24. > :44:32.achieved. They will be measured and weighed
:44:32. > :44:40.to see if they have reached their targets. First up is Scott. Scott,
:44:40. > :44:44.how are you? You look great. I cannot believe this. Incredible,
:44:45. > :44:51.absolutely sensational, you have lost blundles of weight. It has
:44:51. > :44:57.been fun. 12 -- Bundles of weight. 12 weeks ago he wanted to drop
:44:57. > :45:02.three-stone of bulk. Let's strip, you are shredded, well done. Over
:45:02. > :45:06.the last three months, Scott has undergone a dramatic transformation,
:45:06. > :45:15.starting with a Hulking body builder's frame, he has lost four
:45:15. > :45:20.stone to achieve this. A more nimble, athletic body. This is
:45:20. > :45:30.remarkable, mate. Absolutely, well done. Really shit hot. So waist we
:45:30. > :45:36.
:45:36. > :45:41.were 37 inches. Oh my good God. You started off at 103. Shit.
:45:41. > :45:45.I can't believe that, that is if he nominal. Scott's biggest change has
:45:45. > :45:50.been around his waist, with a reduction of six inches, he has
:45:50. > :45:54.gone from a 37 inch to a 31 inch waist. After pushing himself to the
:45:54. > :46:01.limit, Scott has achieved a dramatic transformation, but going
:46:01. > :46:11.below his target weight is a concern for Kay and Mark. We were
:46:11. > :46:12.
:46:12. > :46:16.10.3%. Holy shit. Body fat percentage is
:46:16. > :46:26.3.2%. I'm shocked, but I'm not surprised. I think I will go back
:46:26. > :46:30.to the medical side of just saying, that body fat now is really at an
:46:30. > :46:35.almost unacceptably low level. That we need to have a certain amount of
:46:35. > :46:38.body fat, keep us warm, make sure that our immune system is able to
:46:38. > :46:42.function well enough. You want to go off, eat ice-cream, putting on a
:46:42. > :46:47.little bit is not a failure at all. I hope he does take away the
:46:47. > :46:52.messages that he needs to chill out a little bit about this, go away,
:46:52. > :47:00.enjoy himself, go on holiday. Really embrace him being a fitter,
:47:01. > :47:10.leaner person. While Scott is getting used to his fitter body,
:47:11. > :47:11.
:47:11. > :47:14.he's yet to see the contrast side- by-side. Wow, Jesus, ha ha. I'm
:47:14. > :47:21.literally half the size. I look like a big body builder there, on
:47:21. > :47:24.the left I'm so lean and slick and just, I can't believe it. It
:47:24. > :47:31.literally look like a different person. I look at myself now and I
:47:31. > :47:35.think that's the way to be. I need a bit more of a tan. For Scott, who
:47:35. > :47:40.used to go to the gym every day, and eat every two hours, life is
:47:40. > :47:43.suddenly very different. I would say before the 12 week s I
:47:43. > :47:53.definitely had an obsession with the gym, obsessing about what to
:47:53. > :47:57.train and eat. The hardest thing to do is chill out. A what, a pirate
:47:57. > :48:01.ship. You can come on there too.. I think I can come on there. It is
:48:01. > :48:04.great to bond and be there with Olivia, she loves to go here, run
:48:04. > :48:12.around and play everywhere, chase me, play football, it is great to
:48:12. > :48:17.mess around, I'm fitter and leaner. I'm not hot all the time, I sleep
:48:17. > :48:21.so much better, my skin is perfect. Daddy, please come in. OK, have you
:48:21. > :48:25.got my tea ready. Smashing the goals was great, this is my main
:48:25. > :48:33.goal, now I can do everything with her that she can do, it is not
:48:33. > :48:37.limited by my size or how fit I am, I can do everything with her.
:48:37. > :48:41.There is more important things than gym, family, friends, love. I have
:48:41. > :48:45.been overly focused on my physical self, because I haven't been able
:48:45. > :48:50.to share it with someone. Now is a good time to have a little look out
:48:50. > :48:54.there and see if there is a potential Mrs Francis somewhere.
:48:54. > :49:02.It has been a more difficult 12 weeks for student, Nick, who now
:49:02. > :49:07.faces the moment of truth. Hello, how are you. Nice to see you.
:49:07. > :49:12.Looking well. When Nick started, he barely weighed nine stone, although
:49:12. > :49:18.he has been working out, he hasn't been so good with the diet. Take
:49:18. > :49:23.your top off, let's measure you up. It looks bigger than it is.
:49:23. > :49:30.looks good. Turn to the side. arms were 11 inches. Arms are much
:49:30. > :49:37.better, toned as hell. 12 and three quarters. Fantastic. Big increase.
:49:37. > :49:44.Arms up in the air. Chest was 33- inches. A little pair of pecs there
:49:44. > :49:48.I can see? 35. Great. Whilst Nick hasn't kept up with the sheer
:49:48. > :49:52.amount of food really needed to bulk up, his biceps have grown by
:49:52. > :49:56.an inch and three quarters and his chest has filled out by an
:49:56. > :50:00.impressive two inches. You put on four kilos of pure, lean muscle
:50:00. > :50:05.mass. Do you know how difficult it is to put on one kilo of muscle
:50:05. > :50:10.mass on, it is really hard, to put four on is great. When I started
:50:10. > :50:14.seeing the fat in areas that I didn't what to see extra fat, to
:50:14. > :50:23.counter that I cut down my food. I was an idiot not to trust the
:50:23. > :50:29.professionals. Whilst Nick's muscles haven't grown
:50:29. > :50:33.as much as hoped, in other areas there have been big changes. Nick's
:50:33. > :50:37.confidence has grown literally from there to there.
:50:37. > :50:41.This process has taught me that I needing to out, obviously I haven't
:50:41. > :50:46.been organised through this, and I haven't perhaps pushed myself as
:50:46. > :50:51.hard as I should have, and if I do that in real life, I'm never going
:50:51. > :50:54.to be successful. I think it is his sense of humour, he seems more
:50:54. > :51:01.relaxed lately. I think it is nice having muscles and looking better,
:51:01. > :51:06.but I don't think it makes the man, no, not at all.
:51:06. > :51:10.12 weeks ago, muscles were everything to Martin, and he
:51:10. > :51:16.struggled giving up the big weights. Recently he has been more dedicated,
:51:16. > :51:23.but will it be enough. Hello guys. Look at Martin. Look at
:51:23. > :51:30.me. Are you OK. Nice to see you. Wow.
:51:30. > :51:35.Different man. Different man. looks good. It really looks good.
:51:35. > :51:41.feel good, clean, fresh, fit, fast. When Martin started out he weighed
:51:41. > :51:46.16-stone, to get the body he wanted he need to lose two stone.
:51:46. > :51:50.-- he needed to lose two stone. Let's have a look, much better.
:51:50. > :51:56.cutting down from six meals a day to three, and swapping power
:51:56. > :52:04.lifting for aerobic exercise, Martin has bulked down from 16
:52:04. > :52:10.stone to a much leaner 14-stone. 21% body fat last time, we're
:52:10. > :52:16.hoping that you have lost quite a substantial amount, let's see.
:52:16. > :52:25.Body fat is 14.3%. You have lost eight kilos of fat.
:52:25. > :52:34.In 12 week, that is an exceptional body transformation.
:52:34. > :52:39.This is going to be your picture before here.
:52:39. > :52:47.What words come into your head? don't know, lost, confused. This is
:52:47. > :52:50.obviously the new man, now. Which is a remarkable
:52:50. > :52:54.transformation. Such a difference in the face. Your chest is so much
:52:54. > :52:58.better, your abdomen looks completely different here, your
:52:58. > :53:02.arms look like, you know, what arms should look like. If I ever walked
:53:03. > :53:07.down your way, and see you have turned into this man, I'm going to
:53:07. > :53:12.fucking kill you. It will never happen, trust me, I can't believe
:53:12. > :53:15.it was to that stage, live and learn. Very well done.
:53:15. > :53:20.Whilst Martin still dreams of becoming a personal trainer, he has
:53:20. > :53:25.decided he also needs a life outside of training. Being addicted
:53:25. > :53:29.to the gym has definitely kept me in a delusional state, and coming
:53:29. > :53:31.out of that now, it is kind of like I have been released from some
:53:32. > :53:36.institution, like prison or something like that. I have to
:53:36. > :53:42.become normalised now. If you are looking for a
:53:42. > :53:49.distraction from the real world, I found it in the gym. I hid there, I
:53:49. > :53:53.hid, scared, I hid there for a couple of years. Now that I'm out
:53:53. > :53:58.of it, I would say this is genuinely the happiest I have been.
:53:59. > :54:02.Last up is Matt. In the final stretch his girlfriend wanted to
:54:02. > :54:09.see more dedication and motivation. Having missed lots of gym sessions,
:54:09. > :54:15.Matt promised to turn things around in the last few week.
:54:15. > :54:21.Hello, nice to see you. How many sessions did you do?
:54:21. > :54:27.managed eight. You got eight in. I'm really proud, that is awesome.
:54:27. > :54:34.We will measure you. Top it off. weeks ago Matt weighed nine-and-a-
:54:34. > :54:42.half ston and had less than 5% -- stone, and had less than 5% body
:54:42. > :54:49.fat. I'm proud of the eight session. Arms were 10.5 inch inches. Now 11
:54:49. > :54:58.and three quarters. Weight before was 59.7. Our target
:54:58. > :55:02.weight was 76.5 kilo. We are 61.6. Matt has put on less than two kilos.
:55:02. > :55:08.But he has still managed to increase his biceps by an inch-and-
:55:08. > :55:11.a-half. There have been other gains. It looks like a bit more confidence.
:55:11. > :55:17.I do feel better in myself. I have never ever thought it would have
:55:17. > :55:21.been as difficult as it was. big thing is how you carry yourself.
:55:21. > :55:28.And going forward, really. This was only the start for you. Of making a
:55:28. > :55:32.big change. But the real test for Matt's
:55:32. > :55:37.confidence is outside the gym. you want to take her and I will see
:55:37. > :55:41.you in a bit. Before this I was always comfortable about taking my
:55:41. > :55:46.top off in public. Even putting on that little bit of weight I have
:55:46. > :55:50.put on has make me feel a lot better about myself. I'm looking
:55:50. > :55:55.forward to taking the little one swimming. No ribs, I used to be
:55:55. > :55:59.able to count literally all the bones, you can't see any of the
:55:59. > :56:04.bones now, how fucking cool is that. Alana comes first in everything I
:56:04. > :56:14.do, I wanted that to be the case with him too. Now I'm proud that he
:56:14. > :56:14.
:56:14. > :56:18.feels confident in himself to come here and put her first.
:56:18. > :56:28.I don't feel that people are still looking at me because I'm really
:56:28. > :56:29.
:56:29. > :56:33.skinny. I feel like I'm just like a normal person again now. Even if
:56:33. > :56:38.his body hasn't changed drastically, his mind has. For me it was up in
:56:38. > :56:45.his head that needed alteration and change.
:56:45. > :56:49.It is pretty good to be in the pool instead of on the sideline, playing
:56:49. > :56:53.around around with her and having a giggle is better than thaank
:56:53. > :57:00.standing watching them both have -- than standing watching them both
:57:00. > :57:04.have fun. Him getting in the pool with me a is a big change for me,
